It fundamentally makes no sense

Its also not a thing for workers who aren't exclusive to one promotionl. Those kind of downsides only started in the mid 80s for promotions like Jim Crockett and even then that was because the gate determined the payoffs (based on supposed formulas known only by the booker or promoter) and if the sum of your payoffs were lower than your guarantee you got a ballon payment for the differance. The same was true in 90s WWE.

I'm not even certain ECW offered downside guarantees. ROH? TNA talent in the heyday were either on written guarantees or straight up PPAs...

I think downsides should be exclusively for exclusive PPA deals at cult level frankly. *Maybe* regional.

 3.
I agree that the financial model needs a rework. The difficulty is the masssive differance between small local shows and major indies or wwe. A low card dude on a local show may gross $20 as a payoff whereas the top wwe guys can gross 10,000,000 once you factor merchandise sales.

Otoh I have no interest whatsoever in setting ticket prices or managing marketing. I deal with that in real life and would be actively turned off if it was included unless it was an easter egg hidden so deep it needed a cheat code to be activated as a feature... My $0.02

When you hire someone do you specify which company they are intended to work for? I guess my question is more about how difficult it was in TEW16 to send people down to dev feds. I'm assuming this has been addressed?

 5.
A few questions re: company relationships

1) If we own a company that isn't our dev territory do we still have full control over titles, schedules, etc? How does hiring work? Im assuming the head booker controls hiring talent?

2) Is there still a limit to how big a company we own can get?

Thanks!

 6. Agreed... how about a generic "Rest of the World" area with regions for Central America, South America, Africa, The Middle East and The Far East? It's a way to get Korea and China in the mix too...
 7. would it be possible to atleast split off the big 3 states? Hawaii and Puerto Rico are on their own. Add Alaska while you're at it... Something like ; Alaska California Florida Hawaii Puerto Rico Texas North West (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming) South West (Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico) Mid West (North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa) Mid South (Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas) Great Lakes (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky) South East (Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana) New England (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut) Tri State (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania) Mid Atlantic (Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina) California on its own has more people in it than Canada, with Texas and Florida coming pretty close. Alaska has a comparable population to Saskatchewan. I think this small change would go a long way to making the game world more representative of North America.
 8.
First entry that I see as mixed to negative.

The good : Mexico being expanded.

India showing up.

The not-so-good : No south america still (For historical mods mostly)

No change to the USA - It is completely bonkers that Saskatchewan is a Region on its own but California, Texas, and Florida aren't. The number of single state promotions both historically and currently in the US is overwhelming. They aren't an exception... They are practically the rule. Very disappointing.

I'd much rather not have them when playing.

I assume it will work like today... If you have an empty venues table and an empty locations table the game will only use generic venues.

Locations are used for holding shows, they don't have effects outside that.

In effect, yes.

If you have a mix of venues and locations in a Region, will the AI favor one over the other (ie always try to book a venue first or vice-versa)?

Is it possible in some way to ensure that a promotion always runs its shows in a particular location? Imagine a promotion called Steel City Wrestling that Id always want the AI to run out of Pittsburgh.

Btw, I love the feature in concept, just wondering how far we can stretch it.

 11.

They are tied to region.

So an event held in a location is always using a generic venue, correct?

 12.
Questions about todays feature:

1) Are venues tied to locations, regions, both or neither?

2) If yes to venues being tied to locations, can a venue have a capacity higher than the max capacity for a location? Ex. Can New York be set to 20k max, but i can add Yankee Stadium at 50k?

 13. Save to mod... Wow. This one could be a game-changer for the mod-making community. Very, very cool.

Having a "WWE" formula for every company is a bit weird. Perhaps it'll be different. I would like to see it go away from "monthly" wages and hit yearly wages. AJ Styles reportedly makes 8.5 million a year. If I remember correctly the most you can offer is 1.5m a year. Hugely different. I'd like the finances overall to get a big look at! Honestly once you hit Cult, you can realistically out cheese the AI for anyone, but if someone at National offers AJ Styles 8.5m... my Cult company has NO chance (in hell) of being able to deal with that wage.

I'm assuming the 8.5 includes merch and PPV bonuses. As I understand it, base salaries top out around 1.5-2mil...

Over time the sizes of the promotions change. Usually WCCW will rise quickly while AWA tanks. But, AWA has the third turn and WCCW the fifth.*

I would run an AWA and not be able to use Cactus Jack, because he is at the WCCW show, even though I wanted to use him on AWA and knew I wasn't using him on WCCW.

I would have thought the ability to "switch" users would have been more interesting with 6 simultaneous feds...

 16. Agreed. The ability to do big in-advance tapings like taping a months shows at once would also be welcome.
 17.

A good way to deal with the weight classes would be to allow mod-makers to customize them, and allow each promotion to either use the generic/default weight classes, or design their own. That way, companies that want to have those different divisions can do so... and the Cruiserweight/Junior Heavyweight limits can be specific to promotions, as there are many who use different limits than others.

I'd be 100% on board with that.

Maybe ThunderVerse Vice?

 19.
I just started playing 2016 again a couple weeks ago using the effganic mod. It was really apparent how far the UI has come since EWD. I think that's the core right there... The little features and details are great but the game has got to be playable. Looking forward to what comes next.

On a personal note I'm hoping to see a change in how wrestler size is handled. Would like to be able to better simulate early pro wrestling and how Lucha have multiple weight categories (from Lightweight to Junior Heavy).

On the mod side, a better / easier way to generate large amounts of workerd to fill out a mod would be nice (especially refs, announcers, etc).

All in all great news! Looking forward to this!
