I started watching in the late 80s, first time I stopped watching was 05 or 06 because I realized that wrestling was beyond its peak and it'll only get worse from there. Took about 8 years off where I didn't watch any wrestling aside of some old PPVs. Watched WM in 2014 I think and came back for like 3 months till I realized it's gotten way stupider than I expected and I'm just wasting my time. Another 5 years off. Then came back when AEW Dynamite started because for some reason I thought it might be good but stopped watching again around September/October 2020 because I just couldn't torture myself anymore. I still watch old PPVs from the 80/90s once or twice a month, that I enjoy a lot. I just can't watch modern wrestling anymore, everytime I come back it seems like it somehow got even worse. I know exactly what I hate about it: bad booking (even WCW in its last year was better than WWE and AEW these days), in-ring work got too unrealistic and choreographed with all the flips and what not, the fact that kayfabe is dead and even the workers treating wrestling like it's a clown show. If you don't take yourself seriously I won't either and that's why the vast majority of old school fans stopped bothering to tune in a looooong time ago. To quote Self from the post above: "Wrestling has evolved, and it's lost me". Yep, got nothing to add. Next time I come back will probably be the post-Vince era and I'll be prepared to be disappointed again. I sure hope there'll be great pro wrestling at some point in the future. I just don't expect it to come close to what it was during its glory days ever again.

I agree with OP. The reason is simple to me: wrestling today isn't wrestling anymore. It's a choreographed gymnastics circus surrounded by a bad soap opera. It's become worse and worse over the past 20 years and it doesn't look like it'll get better anytime soon. I see why nobody wants to watch this anymore and I get why people think you're stupid if you enjoy this.

Great work, love them. I have no idea how you can work on so many mods. Thank you for putting so much time and work into all of your mods, it's greatly appreciated

I'm surprised that people are surprised that rules don't matter in AEW. You people are just out of touch, nobody cares about rules these days

I loved FTR vs Hangman/Omega, also the aftermath. I'm not familiar with Omega's "cleaner"-gimmick, was he hinting at that after the match? Moxley vs MJF was good too. Good finish. MJF as a heel is pure gold. Rest of the card was meh to me. - imo Ref Aubrey should've counted Hardy out when he was legit injured. Restarting the whole match was the worst thing they could do. If that's not the finish they want (which was obvious later) she should've told Sammy to stay down too so that the match ends with a draw and they can resolve this later. - Random Joe McDoe is the last entrance of the Battle Royal and botches his very first move. Can't make this up. Archer winning was the only thing that made sense in this imo. Who's the black guy? The short bits of him I saw looked pretty good, can't remember seeing him on Dynamite before. - Swole vs Britt was beyond terrible. - Same goes for Jericho vs OC: stupid gimmick match, WWE would be (rightfully) bashed for sh!t like that. I don't like OC and his style of wrestling but if their goal was to get him over: yeah, at least they got that done. - Rosa vs Shida was okay, Young Bucks vs Jurassic Express too. Nothing special but not bad. They really should look into signing Rosa if they haven't already, she'd be a great addition to the women's division. - 8-man tag was pretty boring, the only good thing was the fantastic old school promo by Dustin afterwards. I don't regret buying the PPV, FTR vs Hangman/Omega alone easily was worth it and - as I said - I liked the main event too.

Lesnar left and Reigns is now with Heyman? Sounds good to me, Reigns as a heel with a good manager has the potential to be great. Just giving him the title right away is a bit ... meh. Could've built a great feud against a face (who are their top faces aside of McIntyre anyway?) and then let him win the title at WM. Is this Reigns' first heel run? I'm not watching much WWE but whenever I saw him he was working as a face. I always thought it'd make much more sense to use him as a heel just to get him over with the fans.

Didn't watch the SummerSlam. Was Wyatt vs Strowman worth watching? Might watch that later today if it was. What was their storyline after the swamp disaster anyway? I thought we wouldn't see Strowman for a while but apparently getting "drowned" in a swamp isn't that bad, probably showed up the next night on RAW I'd guess McIntyre vs Orton was the best match on the card?

Damn, it's a shame that they're coming back with PPVs only. I was looking forward to NWA coming back but I sure as hell won't buy weekly PPVs.

Is there (or is somebody working on) a 1989 mod? I'd like to play with WCW in 1989 in what many consider the final great year of the former JCP before the likes of Ole Anderson, Jim Herd, Bill Watts etc. were busy trying to sink the ship for years to come.

I just watched the main event this week which was okay. Did they edit that match? Seemed like after Lumis flipped out of the ring he stood way too far away from it, the trajectory didn't seem to make any sense. Also, Lumis and Thatcher are both heels, no? As an old-school fan I don't like the heel getting the win vs another heel.

MJF stole the show, what a promo! I liked quite a bunch of matches on the show, namely Cody vs Warhorse, Omega and Page vs Dark Order (the aftermath was hot garbo though) and the main event. All in all a good show. btw: Taz instead of Excalibur makes the commentary A LOT better imo.

Eddie Kingston about to give birth soon? That belly It's weird that they make Cody look so weak during the past weeks. He should squash guys like Kiss and Kingston. And the match wasn't anything special either. MJF on the mic and match and Taz on the mic were the only good things on a pretty boring show imo.
