  1. This mod looks promising. I hope it gets completed
  2. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Hashasheen" data-cite="Hashasheen" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This is mostly stuff I've learned recently in the past year. Don Callis was on a tour of Lebanon with the Barbarian, and the promoters stiffed them on pay and stiffed Barbarian on food (he was supposed to get a strong diet of chicken to keep his regime up). Barbarian was so upset about the lack of chicken he wanted to walk to Israel on foot in the middle of a still active civil war just so he could get the hell back home. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Glad to know he stays in character haha</p>
  3. Wow I have an entirely new reason to hate this drama right now. I respect your decision my friend hopefully this gets ironed out
  4. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="foolinc" data-cite="foolinc" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Allowing players to add new regions/areas would change a lot of the programming. There is also an issue with graphical templating and processing the extra code.<p> </p><p> That said, something that might be feasible in theory would be the ability to rename the regions to anything that you want. Right now that's impossible due to the region names being hard coded, but it could be possible (with work) to hard code generic names (region_01_01 instead of Great_Lakes) and set up another table to name all of the regions. You'd have the number of regions and areas, but could call them whatever you want.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That I would get behind. If something I felt wasn't being properly represented I could swap it out. Or if I was working on a db super mod I could change them to universe 1 -12 so on and so forth</p>
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Adam Ryland" data-cite="Adam Ryland" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Sure. India looks like it is has the potential to be a really big market down the line due to its size, political scene, and culture, so I think it's going to be far more important in the coming wrestling world than the two you mentioned. <p> </p><p> All three were debated, as was a Rest Of The World area (which was dropped because it was not feasible without having a negative impact on other features, not because it wasn't a fine idea), but ultimately there are space and processing time considerations to take into account and if only one area is going to be added, India is the clear choice for me.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> What about the inclusion of letting the player add regions and game areas? That way every camp would be happy</p>
  6. The only reason I haven't was because during that time RAW was must see tv to me. They were firing on all cylinders at that moment. Their main event card was pretty stacked as Punk, Bryan, and Cena (who should've been a heel lol) was carrying that show with AJ as GM. A year or two later and it was an entirely different scene... Good god TNA at that time was good as well (If you don't count the Claire Lynch)
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaysin" data-cite="Jaysin" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>They literally said "We're taking over control of Raw and Smackdown Live" and then said they'd be listening to the fans. They've said this before and we are still handed garbage. <p> </p><p> Little salty they dropped Paige as GM though. She was the best used one they've had since Heyman, Kurt's original GM run, and Eric Bischoff.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You are forgetting about AJ Lee's run that was gold</p>
  8. My tank has run low at this point lol. I'm not even a mod maker so I don't care either way. The past two days I've gained a lot of different perspective that I didn't have before. We have been at each other's throat for no good reason. In my personal opinion if you want to have an easy life then ask for permission. Its grown beyond a parody of itself.
  9. This snippet in the dev journal would cover that... That is called an implied license. That means even he is suggesting you do to this. He is also allowed mod makers in the past convert old CV databases and release them to the public on current releases.
  10. Call me crazy but wouldn't this poll <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=542496" rel="external nofollow">http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=542496</a> been better suited to have been taken after this announcement? Converting a save from a mod isn't really the same conversation as most people was led to believe. As one of the most loudest voices in here I'm really annoyed I wasn't given proper context prior.
  11. It certainly has been my most requested feature. Now it looks like I don't have to kill a save with a new polished tew going forward. I can just clean up what's screwed up by database conversion and pick up where I left off.
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Beejus" data-cite="Beejus" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43035" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Guess I should've seen the writing on the wall for Jeff Hardy to win it, but I was really pulling for O'Haire there! Well, so the storyline <em>does</em> fit better for Hardy, but it does feel a little weird that technical extraordinaire Bret Hart keeps putting over these high flying risk takers for every SHC <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> I do look forward to the Dangerous Alliance rising up the ranks though, even if it isn't quite as immediate as I felt they were.<p> </p><p> I do love the stipulations added to Austin vs. Goldberg too. Corino is gonna make some serious bank! But also, I wonder if Goldberg is about to leave, or if you're just planning on giving Austin a "face has to join heel faction" story. As entertaining as Austin is, he would definitely make that work, but at this point, I think I feel a safe bet in Goldberg being out of WCW after Starrcade.</p><p> </p><p> It looks like Starrcade is really shaping up, as you have the match for the sports entertainment crowd (Austin vs. Goldberg), the match for the title (Unnatural vs. Hardy), and the match for the workrate crowd in Rey vs. Eddie. With the added popularity that they have, the match they have could potentially outshine their Havoc 97 one.</p><p> </p><p> Great stuff all around, man.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If this were run by Vince he would claim he has 3 main events!</p>
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Adam Ryland" data-cite="Adam Ryland" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That's all very true, but it's worth bearing in mind that this feature that I've just announced is very specifically controlling the interaction of fan expectation, show grades, and popularity change. What you're describing above are all examples of "go for broke" in the financial sense of the phrase and would therefore be linked to other features. For that reason, if I was to use the poster's suggestion, it definitely wouldn't be called "Go For Broke" as it would be misleading, I feel.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Just a thought, but in all these cases--WM 1, the early Starcades, All-In, etc....the promotion putting them on would be considered cult-level. Maybe this could be a gamble that only cult-level feds could put on as way to gamble finances into overness. </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I say place a limit on how many times you can do it per year and make it a way to light money on fire.</p>
  14. Holy crap your main event scene is becoming a shark tank and you have a bonafide (some would say unlikely) figurehead getting ready to debut! I really hope he doesn't Billy Gunn this run and fizzle. Honestly though if his ratings are as high as you are hyping him then you should be able to bully through a low ceiling if you consistently book him strong. I'm hyped for the potential match ups that we never received in real life.
  15. Love the latest post especially since I like road to glories so much
  16. With no ring general that match was still fantastic! I love the drama going into starcade. Cheers to another fantastic show.
  17. <p>I don't know how but I missed this announcement somehow????</p><p> </p><p> Now that I'm over my confusion I'm super excited for a new TEW! I'm going to get so much life out of just running child companies lol. The on the fly booking has me hyped as well.</p>

  20. Stu Hart Classic Finals: Jeff Hardy vs. Sean O'Haire World Heavyweight Championship: Harry Smith vs. The Unnatural {©} If Mysterio wins, he gets a match against Eddie Guerrero at Starrcade: Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Jamie Knoble World Tag Team Championship: The Shooting Stars vs. The Unbound {©} World Television Championship: Fit Finlay vs. Matt Hardy {©} Cruiserweight Championship: Brian Kendrick vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. {©} "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. The Dangerous Alliance (RVD & Douglas) "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. "Sugar" Shane Helms What will be match of the night? Jeff vs. Shean How many championships will change hands (the Stu Hart Classic doesn't count)? 1 Too many of your talent is telling you to push Kendrick...I say go for it Will Goldberg accept the invitation to show up during Piper's Pit? Yes General diary comments/questions/critiques: Man that Sean O'Hare turn is what that guy needed but there is no way you are headlining starrcade with a Heel vs. Heel match and there is even less of a chance it will be Harry Smith vs. Sean O' Hare. I like where you are taking Goldberg vs. Steve because you even started placing writing on the wall for the after math.

  23. I'm curious how Article 13 would effect this forum? This forum is based in the UK am I right? Wouldn't that mean that we would not be able to post pics or gifs or god forbid memes??

Smackdown is the bastard child of the WWE. I am not sure if it is because RAW has been around longer or what.<p> </p><p> It will be interesting to see if SD gets more attention when they move over to FOX. I haven't watched the show I usually just read reviews nowadays but I can't comprehend from a business/booking perspective on why would you have one show clean sweep the other.</p>
