I think it's highly dependent on your goals with the company, competitors, economy, and wrestling industry.

Running one show a month is probably going to get you a net loss in popularity, but is of course less costly (although if you've upgraded music and broadcast production to the point where they don't have a "per show" cost, running more shows is more cost effective for them). A high economy/poor wrestling industry would be a good time for this approach--sponsorship money would remain near peak and the extra cost of running more shows won't see equivalent returns in popularity.

Running biweekly or weekly shows is going to put you at a more significant loss, but you'll ultimately probably find yourself with a net gain in popularity. If you keep pushing in this direction, you'll eventually start making a solid profit at the upper levels of Small and then break into Regional. I think it's probably worth trying this route at any time that wrestling industry is average to high, since staying at low Small and getting pummeled in regional battles every month is probably eventually going to kill your company.

 12. That's true than an industry in the toilet at game start makes this challenge tremendously more difficult. With all the tag, six man, and multi-man combinations you can run, I can't imagine hitting the repetitive booking penalty if you're making an effort. Besides, aside from your UC and one or two strong workers (usually Wolfsbaine, Whitehead, and/or DaLay in the USA), it makes sense to cycle through the other cheap jobbers every couple months. Or since contracts at Local don't need a downside, you can hire as many as you want, but then you'll have to worry about morale.
 13. My strategy, starting in the Great Lakes (so I wound up in regional battles with NYCW and PSW as soon as I hit small also) was to run weekly shows from the beginning. My economy was around C for most of the time I think but industry was below D for the first 18 months. My owner was the road agent and then, of course, I focused on using the cheapest workers available--and as few of them as possible on each show. The exception was Wolfsbaine, who main evented every week. I hit Small by late summer/early fall and entered the regional battles. I lost but putting on multiple shows at least allowed me to continue with a net gain in popularity and the subsequent attendance increases. By December I started beating out NYCW to get second in the battles and by January was turning a profit. At this point I may have actually increased production values on the two that don't have "per-show" costs (Music and Video, I think?) as it's the most cost effective. I finished the 18 month window with over $10k in the bank and started beating PSW for first shortly after that. I still strongly believe that weekly shows are the best way to complete the challenge. Even at large Small (excuse the oxymoron), the profit from attendance outweighs the profit from sponsors.

Otherwise, the shows your putting on even with the penalties are still good enough to raise your popularity. If you're running weekly shows, the pop gain will outweigh the loss from losing the regional battle.

 18.
Running a R2G game, but I like to meddle with the AI when I see the opportunity to do something interesting with the game world.

It's the summer of 2019 and 21CW is $12mil in debt and the banks came knocking (noticed they went out of business, so reloaded to the day before). Rather than let it die with a whimper, I thought it would make more sense for either TCW or SWF to use the situation to make a move against USPW, which has been dominating national battles everywhere since the beginning of the game. SWF was national and had more than twice the money (in the ballpark of $75mil), so I chose them.

SWF purchased the rights to "Best of British Wrestling," 21CW's titles, several PPV events (London Calling immediately replaced Break Like the Wind because what a terrible name for a non-comedy company), and about 20 of 21CW's most popular workers. I set up a brand split, mostly to keep the SWF stars from tanking any shows held in Britain as 21CW had managed to get coverage in the US prior to going under and most of their main event is quite over in the States. I simmed far enough ahead for a few shows to happen and was pleasantly surprised that Supreme TV and Best of British Wrestling were both run very well.

This will eventually lead to a nationalist backlash in the UK where one of the billionaires based there will open a heavily-funded promotion to fill the void left by the buyout.

I am curious about what it's going to mean for TCW, who have been stuck between Cult and National--especially since my company, CZCW, and PSW (the latter two due to my meddling giving them a weekly show in a second region) on the doorstep of Cult. Japan is currently supporting 5 Cult+ companies; could the USA support 6?

This one is based on the premise that the "smart" wrestling fans check out the internet and note what people are saying about the experience at the other companies the same size as yours, so if you aren't putting on as good a show with a good policy of uploading top quality video highlights, they tend to look a bit down on your shows overall.

Not really realistic, but its used to cover a number of things.
