is there a "preferred" number of main/prelim fights to make a "successful" card? Does this vary based on the size of your roster/company? How many shows do you do? Weekly, monthly, bi-annual?
So I started with XCC and haven't played since WMMA3 so trying to remember stuff. I had a seven fight main card and a four fight prelim card for my first event. It drew 556 with a gate of $54,127. Critical Rating was 68% with a Commercial of 41%. Six of the 7 main card were Good, 1 was Great with 1 title fight. The Prelims had 1 Average, 2 Good and 2 Great fights. That all looks good but I lost $32,823 on the day for the show. I am using just the default roster and haven't signed anyone yet.
So wondering if I need to run MORE shows with less fights per show? Should I go with NO Prelims? As asked above is 7 fights on the main card too many? Should I go with 5 (or some other number)?
Thanks for any pointers to get me going in the right direction.
