Summerslam 1996 is next pay per view.
Bret has returned. 3 month break in my world. Summerslam 1996 is looking good as far as the big 4 matches are concerned. The WWF title match is not the strongest, no doubt. My roster is starting to feel like my own and Raw has been moved to 2 hours every week.
WWF title: Vader vs Sid. Two monsters fighting over the title. That is all I've got.
Undertaker vs Mankind. Yes, there will be a Paul Bearer heel turn here. And the debut of Kane. Yep, no warnings, nothing. He will go on a path of destruction like he did in real life.
IC title: Goldust vs Brian Pillman. Marlena is out of this storyline due to maternity leave. Debra has replaced her since Goldust needs a leading lady. Pillman is no loose cannon hybrid either, he is a daredevil babyface. Think Matt Murdock, only not. This will be nothing like their real life storyline from a year later. I think we will see a title change here.
The real main event is the return of Bret vs ''Stone Cold'', I'm tempted to make this the main event, but I'm one of those guys that has to have the WWF title close the show. Prestige of WWF title is way down to 75.
And the debut of some guy named ''Rocky Cage''. He might be worth keeping around.

I'm guessing ol Stone Cold raised a couple of middle fingers in the direction of that piece of trash, Jim Neidhart.

Shocking! Not! Warrior has decided to join WCW in my 1996 game. I'm now at the end of June. Just happy I did not give him a dq win over Vader (WWF champion) at King of the ring. His planned title shot rematch at Summerslam has been cancelled. I have my next Raw main event, a WWF title match on Raw. Vader to crush Warrior. Vince ( my user character) and Warrior have their beef and now Warrior turns down my contract offer. hmmm. To screw or not to screw? That is the question.
Sid is the only choice I have now to feud with Vader over the WWF title. Sid will turn babyface on Raw.
Austin broke Ahmed Johnson nose. Nobody on the roster had any complaints after the match. Austin is on fire right now.
Pat Tanaka has been signed on a ppa. woohoo.

Following on from the other day. I refused to release Shawn, but I ended up getting rid of him by using the editor. No point having him around and I didn't have it in me to keep him around doing nothing. WCW have been going for almost everybody that has a contract running out in my WWF, including Tatanka

I think it is better to just do a longer build to kotr. Ultimate Warrior will be my number one contender to challenge Vader, but who knows if he will even be around by the time we get to kotr. He is not happy and I'm expecting him to ask for release. Hoping he wont, or else..... Ahmed Johnson will fill the number one contender void. <img alt="

I couldn't go through with Mankind as champion in 1996. It didn't feel right. Vader is on decline, but not declined enough to not be my world champion. No Shawn around either. Only problem I have now is getting a face to go up against Vader.

I'm going to take a gamble and say that the new comeback move has something to do with him rising.

I was left with the choice of Vader, Mankind or the Undertaker as champion in April 1996. Ended up going with Mankind. He won the title in a fatal fourway match vs Bret, Austin and Vader. Bret will now take his leave like real life and return to feud with Austin.
Austin was getting his first taste of the main event, but far too soon for him to win the title. We haven't even done Austin 3:16 yet and Jake is gone, so not sure what I'm going to do.
You could say it is too early for Mankind, although he beat Undertaker in his debut and his popularity is main event level. I'm not short of ideas for him. Shawn walking out has made my game more interesting.
Undertaker is now angry. I sweet talked him at the end of the event. It didn't change anything.

I rejected his release, but he gave me the same response as Jake.
Ricky is a bloody road agent. I should have just ignored it. Ahhhhh, so annoyed at myself.

Not long after the boyhood dream came true (less than 2 weeks), Shawn Michaels asked for his release. Jake asked for his, I refused and he said he would sit out his contract.
This all started after I fined Shawn for beating up Ricky Steamboat. Oh dear. Not sure what I can do now. I guess this is lesson learned for me. Kiss the feet of your top guy or else.

Not a good move to try and start a fight with Hunter the night after an embarrassing (48rated) 2 minute squash loss to Ultimate Warrior. Unlike real life, this feud must continue. We will see how it goes for him. This did impress me.

final result was a fine for Shawn. He was unhappy, Hunter was unhappy and Kid was unhappy. Locker room morale down to 62%. Cheers.

The Bodydonnas have retained. Next day after Wrestlemania 12 (88) I get a notice that Davey Boy has agreed to a contract extension. He took the pinfall after a distraction from Sunny.

The 1996 game. Roddy Piper is joining WCW. No great loss to me at this stage of the game. Goldust will beat him at Wrestlemania. Might as well get some benefit out of it.
It looks like I'm losing Davey Boy as well. That sucks because I want Camp Cornette to win their tag team title match at Wrestlemania. I'm just not willing to break the bank.

The idea of signing Steven Regal sounds good, although, once again, I'm not full of ideas. What would he be good for other than sticking it to WCW? Yay, I finally outbid you. I'm thinking he could be an off and on friend with ''Stone Cold'' since Austin is still very much a heel here. Regal can have good matches with Bret ( I imagine). To sign or not to sign, that is the question? Austin is all DTA, but that doesn't mean he can't have an associate. No friends allowed in DTA land.
The roster has been growing, now up to 42, but I don't want to go overboard. I'm quite happy with the balance and the amount of storylines going at the minute. Still, I think Regal can be a benefit to this roster and I have 5/6 more faces than heel right now.
It is done.
*Something I just remembered. In the last game I played on TEW 2013 (2002 mod), Austin was nearing the end, but he was having 88-90 matches with Regal. I suppose they can feud later on once Austin does turn. Makes sense. Hopefully they gel as well in this game.
