Slim Jim

I don't see why Rock vs Cena winning is at all a surprise. They said voting was done on the WWE App. I'm not saying they don't rig their votes but that one makes absolute sense given the two guys involved. Rock and Cena cover probably the two biggest areas of WWE's fanbase, especially the ones likely to vote on the app, so while it definitely wasn't the "best" match of the year, I don't see any reason to think they rigged that result.

My immediate thought after Triple H announced it (and I'm not claiming this to be visionary, as I've already seen numerous people mention it elsewhere) was that they'll each grab one belt so the unification won't happen. It makes sense to have it at Wrestlemania 30, really, but stretching this out that far... could make for some dull television. Or they could pull it off, and they do seem to up their game for Mania. Obviously have to wait and see. Also hoping this Beard & The Best is leading to Bryan vs Punk at Mania.

I took it as him saying her promo gave him the answer as to why she isn't on the show: she doesn't see it as a worthwhile endeavour. And because of that she doesn't appreciate the work the Bellas have put in to get where they are because it isn't the kind of work she did to get where she is. For the record, I agree far more with AJ than with Foley but I can see his point. They may not be wrestlers but they offer something that appeals greatly to WWE, even if it does rub the real wrestlers up the wrong way. I would say it's interesting to read his point of view of how they handle their business. Maria (and I think Maryse?) have been vocal about their displeasure with the way the Bellas handle themselves. Maria said after the AJ promo (in reply to one of their tweets) that they stopped three girls getting contracts.

I think the lack of count out (or Axel heeling it up by attacking Triple H) was probably all part of them wanting it to look and feel legit.

Orton didn't leave crap in anyone's bag, it was a mixture of various (all non-faecal) things made to look like it. Still not classy, but nowhere near as bad as actually taking a dump in someone's stuff. Someone (maybe London & Kendrick?) talked about it in a shoot interview, and the side of the story whoever it was gave was that the diva in question had been less than pleasant to the other divas for a while. Was the Jarrett thing not something to do with rumours about the Jarretts stiffing Austin on payments when he was working for their territory and also Jarrett getting it on with Debra while Austin was too? And the Brock thing both he (Austin) and Paul Heyman (I know, reliable source...) have said in interviews it wasn't refusing to lose to Brock. It was refusing to lose to Brock in an off the cuff throwaway TV match, rather than being in a program and losing on a PPV and making it mean something. Haven't a few guys (Kenny Dykstra springs to mind) mentioned that Cena was supposedly cheating on his wife? And I think the dirtsheets have written as much too. Not saying it's true; just that he hasn't always been shown squeaky clean in the dirtsheets. Basically what I'm saying is, there's always two sides (at least) to every story. Best to just take them all with a pinch of salt.

Okay, you got me, SM82, my curiosity is sufficiently high that I've gotta ask... Why do you hate Cena so much? I'm not saying you shouldn't, you can't, you won't always, he doesn't deserve to be hated, or any other kind of judgemental/preachy subtext. I'm just curious about how he can have generated so much hatred from you that it is absolutely, categorically irreversible.

This could be a great way to run with it. Having 'Taker WANT to find that one guy that can put him away. They would have to do it for a couple of years at least though and not sure he has that much left in the tank. Make the storyline not 'will The Streak get broken this year?' but 'WHO will be the one to give 'Taker what he wants and best him and The Streak at Wrestlemania?' that neatly shifts the emphasis already on MAKING the guy that beats him rather than the focus being on how (dis)respectful it would be to have someone break the streak. Almost passively preparing people for it ending over a couple of years, and with all his supernatural back story, The Streak being connected to his power or whatever is really not a stretch at this point.

He's said in interviews that he probably won't stick it out that longer. Think it was on his DVD that he said the only thing left to tick off his to-do list is his 'Mania moment/Main Eventing 'Mania and when he's done, he's done. Although I've also heard him say at other points that he's really enjoying being a top guy now because of how much he can help the guys beneath him and that he enjoys being a 'Locker Room Leader', to use TEW terms, so who knows... probably not even him at this point.

Surely if they are having someone break The Streak, they wait for Mania XXX? Sadly, at this point it will probably be Cena that gets to do it, not that I'm a Cena hater or anything, but of everyone on the roster, he benefits least from breaking it (although, of course, is far from the least deserving, which I guess is more the point). How much higher can he go in today's climate? They have a year, if Punk doesn't beat 'Taker, to build someone to the point to be believable but 'Taker will be another year older so it won't be someone like Ryback, who would benefit hugely from it if they get his push back on track, maybe Ziggler? He could make 'Taker look like a million bucks and as threatening as ever with his selling. Maybe one of The Shield breaks out, or Daniel Bryan, but really, as many guys as you want to list, none of them seem 'right' for it. So it would take some incredible booking to make anyone seem worthy of doing it.

I watched the Glenn Beck thing, his problem seemed to be that they were making a villain out of, what he thought were, their main audience. He basically said that almost all the WWE audience are far-right, Tea Party level Republicans and that WWE were making fun of them because Linda didn't win in either of her campaigns. Then he started ranting about WWE making fun of him and his beliefs, and pointing out the differences between himself and Zeb Coulter... I was just thinking "If there are all these differences and you don't agree with what this CHARACTER says, maybe don't get so butthurt and assume someone is making fun of you?". It just made him sound very insecure and defensive over his beliefs. First time I'd ever seen/heard him, had only heard of him previously, he's just as much an idiot as I'd heard.

All three fantastic but most of all, a Steve Frehley I might be able to get behind. Do you have a blank version of it (as in, without the accessories)? That version is probably what I'll use but it'd be interesting to see if that alt alone makes him stand out more so than he did.
