NXT opens with a highlight video of last week where the American Wolves debuted, challenged The Undisputed Era, highlights from the match itself and the shocking return of Paul Ellering and the Authors of Pain.

We see a "earlier today" video where Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong are arriving to NXT. Kyle gathers the troops and says "with Cole coming back next week, we need to plow the road. Tonight, let's make an impact." They high five and enter the building.

The Authors of Pain w/Paul Ellering make their way to the ring. As they come out, we see a lower third where Paul Ellering is with the AOP and says that he brought back his Authors of Pain to right the wrongs of NXT. Last week was a warning as these two hapless victims are about to find out.

This match is just pure dominance as the AOP take their turns pummeling Christian York first who then tags in his partner, John Skyler, to avoid the abuse. The AOP nearly destroy Skyler who begins to beg for York to team in. York, terrified, refuses and drops down from the apron, hops the guardrail and takes off through the fans. Skyler is left alone and soon is nailed with The Last Chapter for the 3 count.

A graphic is then played showing that Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards – The American Wolves – will be in action next week on NXT.

We are taken back to NXT TakeOver: New York and see stills of Jay Lethal capturing the NXT Championship from Tommaso Ciampa. The new NXT Champion will be on hand later tonight.

Deonna dazzles early and gives Io a run for her money. She scores with a standing moonsault into a Scorpion Death Drop for a near fall. But, when Deonna tries a suicide dive, Io moves out of the way and Purrazzo crashes into the ring barrier. From there its’s all Io and soon, Shirai nails The Trifecta (a moonsault from each rope in sequence) for the 3 count.

Following Io’s win, Shayna Baszler comes down to the ring and attacks Io from behind. She locks in the Kirifuda on Shirai until Kairi Sane runs out with a chair and chases off the former women’s champion. As promised, Shayna has attacked another woman.

We go to a highlight video of new NXT Women's Champion, Nikki Cross showing her punishing moves while we hear her say "fun" over and over again. It ends with a graphic saying "Nikki Cross - Next Week".

This is a stiff back and forth match with Lee able to use his massive frame to keep Riddle down. After a missed splash, the King of Bros is able to rally back and manages to do a Judo Throw on Lee. Soon, Riddle has locked Keith into the Bro-Mission and Lee struggles to hang on but, soon must tap out.

After his win, Matt Riddle grabs a microphone. He puts over how tough Keith Lee is and how much the Bro respects Keith. But, one man who doesn’t have Riddle’s respect is Dominik Dijakovic. Riddle says that he is sick of Dijakovic’s fakeness and if Dominik is a man, he will face Riddle one more time….BRO.

A promotional video airs of The Perfect 10 Tye Dillinger. It focuses on him nearly winning at NXT TakeOver and on how he is working his way back in NXT.

New NXT Champion Jay Lethal comes out and begins to cut a promo of how his biggest dream came true in NYC. He talks about the long road and the ups and downs that he took to get to this point. The champ says that every single hardship was worth it when he won THE premiere trophy in professional wrestling just over the river from his home. Lethal begins to say who he would like as his new challenger but then pauses and looks confused when

Tessa Blanchard walks down to the ring. Lethal asks her what's going on and she stares and then smiles just as Rodderick Strong, Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly jump the railing and bumrush the ring. Before Lethal knows what is going on, he is being assaulted. The champion tries to fight back but the numbers are too strong and Lethal is beaten down. Cue….

With Lethal barely conscious and being held up, Cole comes down with a referee. He high-fives Tessa along the way. He walks into the ring and tells the ref "NOW". The ref goes to the announcer and it is announced that Adam Cole chooses now for his title opportunity.

The following contest is for the NXT Championship.

The champion makes a last stand and swings for the challenger but, Cole mockingly moves out of the way as Lethal is so hurt. Cole picks Lethal up and drops the champ head first on his knee with the Last Shot.

Following the win, the new NXT Champion is handed the title while the rest of the Undisputed Era and Tessa Blanchard enter the ring. Cole hugs his buddies who then open up the big bear hug and bring Tessa in. It is clear she is now a member of the Undisputed Era! All five stand tall with the new champ taking center stage as NXT goes off the air.

NXT U.K. opens with a recap video focusing on the two matches from the UK brand at TakeOver: New York. The first part of the video shows stills between Rhea Ripley & Toni Storm vs Province and focuses especially on the betrayal by Rhea. The second half of the video focuses on Pete Dunne’s successful title defense against Joseph Conners.

Jinny & Killer Kelly come out gloating and Jinny says that they had a master plan and in New York they executed it. She introduces the founder of Province, your NXT United Kingdom Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Ripley comes out to Jinny and Kelly bowing to her in the ring. Rhea tells the audience to bow as she walks down the aisle to a chorus of boos, gets into the ring and hugs her fellow members of Province. The women’s champ says that she is here to tell some truths tonight. The truth is that Rhea Ripley was never the friend of Toni Storm. Do you remember about a month or so ago when Kelly & Jinny handcuffed Rhea and beat the hell out of Toni? That was ALWAYS the plan. Or when Rhea and Toni attacked Province in the parking lot? Jinny & Kelly were so committed to the cause that they took one for the team. They knew what the end game was. And it was all to humiliate that New Zealand tart on the biggest stage possible.

Rhea says the truth is that you people may love Toni Storm but Toni does not have the skill or the talent or the class to hold this title. But Rhea Ripley does. And with Killer Kelly & Jinny behind her, Province has come to the United Kingdom…and that’s the truth. So, Toni? Heed this warning: stay away, return to New Zealand before it’s too late. As for tonight? Since Province is fair, some deserving competitor will get the opportunity at the NXT UK Women’s Championship here tonight. Who is that person? You’ll find out tonight.

Luke Menzies returns to the UK brand against UK PC standout Chris Brookes. Brookes holds his own against the “Supreme Athlete” and nearly scores a pinfall on Menzies following a jumping RKO style move but when Brookes goes for a bulldog, Menzies drops Brookes back on his head with a suplex and then, following a few more suplexes, Luke Menzies locks on the Ankle Lock for the submission victory.

The announcers take us back to last week where Samuel Gradwell announced that he was granted a title shot here tonight. As a result of Pete Dunne’s victory last Saturday, our main event tonight is a match between Samuel Gradwell vs Pete Dunne for the NXT United Kingdom Championship.

This match is really used to show the dominance of the Coffey Brothers & Gallus and whenever Friends Stand United gets an advantage, Wolfgang distracts either Dennis or Andrews and suddenly the brothers Coffey have control again. The finish comes when Joe Coffey lifts Eddie Dennis up and Mark Coffey bounces off the ropes and they nail the Heart Attack for the 3 count.

Following their win, the Brothers Coffey announce that they, along with Wolfgang, are staying a unit and while Finlay has not announced what his plan are for the NXT UK Tag Team titles, the Brothers Coffey make it clear….those belts are already theirs.

Isla Dawn comes out and before she gets into the ring, Jinny & Killer Kelly attack her in the aisle. They slam her into the ring barrier and throw her into the steel steps and then double powerbomb her on the floor all before the champion comes out. Province drags the unconscious Isla Dawn and hold her against the ropes as Rhea Ripley comes out arrogantly. Dawn is out cold as the champion orders the bell to be rung. After a few slaps, Ripley nails the RipTide and then arrogantly covers with 3 fingers for the 1..2..3.

MAIN EVENT:

Right as the match begins, Gradwell nails a back elbow shot that drops the champion for a very near fall. The two engage in a slug fest that is very stiff with Gradwell focusing on nailing shots to the head of the champion. Gradwell even forces Dunne to have to bail to the floor. When Gradwell goes after the champ, Dunne drops him throat first on the railing and then the champion takes control of the match with some painful joint manipulation on the challenger. Dunne goes for the Bitter End but Gradwell reverses it into a spike DDT. He nails the champion with two stiff knees to the head and covers….1……2…….kickout barely. Gradwell goes for a Piledriver but, Dunne reverses it and ducks an elbow to the head and nails the Bitter End. Dunne crawls over to cover the challenger 1….2….3.

Following the win, Pete Dunne points to Gradwell as he bails from the ring defeated and indicates how tough of a challenge that was. Dunne plays to the crowd and celebrate when the lights go out and the video from earlier airs…

Dunne is very confused as she stands there staring at him with menacing eyes. She starts to walk down toward the ring pointing at the champion all the way. Suddenly, with Dunne distracted, the crowd comes alive as a man has slid into the ring:

The UK crowd is stunned as NICK ALDIS blasts Pete Dunne from behind. Nick Aldis is the “He” that has been promised to come to NXT UK. Aldis is pummeling the champion while this woman keeps the referees from helping. Aldis nails Twisting Samoan Drop twice with the second one dropping Dunne directly onto his head. With this woman threatening the officials, Aldis grabs the title, stands on Dunne’s unconscious body and raises the NXT United Kingdom Championship high as NXT UK fades to black.

NXT opens with a highlight video of NXT TakeOver: New York last Saturday focusing on Nikki Cross winning the NXT Women's Championship, the wins of Adam Cole & O'Reilly & Strong and Jay Lethal's crowning moment of winning the NXT Championship. It also incorporates the departures during the SuperStar Shakeup of Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Aleister Black & War Raiders.

Mauro Ranallo and new commentator Christian open the show and Mauro announces that Nigel has moved permanently to NXT U.K. Mauro welcomes his new partner to NXT and they hype up the changes that have occurred over the last few days. Tonight on NXT, Shayna Baszler will be in action against Candice LeRae and we will have a debut in the women's division as well. Bu.....

The Undisputed Era break into Mauro's welcome and make their way to the ring with everyone but, Bobby Fish looking happy. They get into the ring and gloat about their victories Saturday night as well as the ramifications of them. Adam says that he ran Johnny Gargano & Aleister Black out of NXT and O'reilly & Strong say they ran War Raiders away. Bobby says that at TakeOver, Ricochet got lucky and that eats at his soul so he is asking for one more chance against the North American Champion because next time, Ricochet's luck will run out.

Kyle & Roddy then really start to gloat and say that they are head and shoulders above every team in NXT now. They say there is no one that has the pedigree or the skill level to pose a real threat. The tag team division is now theirs because that's un.....

The NXT arena at Full Sail comes alive with shock as the Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards, the American Wolves, make an unexpected appearance. Mauro puts over that this is the first time that they have been together as a team in 3 plus years. All of the guys in the Undisputed Era are shocked. The Wolves say that Roddy & Kyle think that it's undisputed that they're the best? Well, the Wolves dispute that. It's been awhile but the American Wolves are here to reclaim their mantle as the best tag team in the world. So, if the champs aren't cowards, how about they try to prove that they're the best against the American Wolves....tonight.

The Undisputed Era look stunned but then Cole whispers in their ears and Roderick responds. He tells the Wolves that they will accept any challenge and tonight is no different but, the Wolves have not earned a title shot. The champs agree to a match tonight but it will be non-title. The American Wolves call them cowards but accept the offer.

Tonight, the American Wolves reunite to take on Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong in our main event.

Candice tries and even gets some offense but, she is no match for the fury of the former women's champion. Baszler does some stiff judo strikes before dumping Candice on the back of her neck with a powerbomb and locking in the Kirifuda. Candice, quickly and wisely, taps out.

Following the win, Shayna grabs a mic and says that on Saturday Night, Nikki Cross caught Shayna unaware. That was good for her and Shayna isn't making an excuses. Well, lets have fun again because until Cross says yes, the Queen of Spades will break every woman in NXT.

A pretty convincing win for the man who conquered the King of Bros at TakeOver. Dijakovic dominates before hitting "Don't Look Down" (a impaler DDT) for the three count.

A video airs to promote our debuting wrestler here tonight and in the video we see WWE Hall of Famer, Tully Blanchard, talking about his daughter Tessa. While he hypes up her skills, we see video of Tessa working out at the Performance Center and dominating the women she is in the ring with including head trainer, Sara Amato. Tully promises that the women's division will soon belong to Tessa. "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you savior of the women's division, the next generation...Tessa Blanchard." The video fades and cuts to a live shot where Tessa debuts.

As promised, this is a dominating effort by Tessa against MJ Jenkins. During the match, Tessa nails a Butterfly Suplex, a running knee strike and finishes her off with a Slingshot Back Suplex for the 3 count.

Mauro and Christian tell us that next week on NXT, the NEW NXT Champion, Jay Lethal will be on hand. They then take us back to the beginning of the show and show us the reuniting of the American Wolves. They take on the Undisputed Era in a non title match. It's our main event and it is next.

This is a long back and forth encounter that sees the champions be arrogant and not take the Wolves seriously, and it nearly costs them. The Wolves show that any ring rust is minimal as they throw both Roderick & Kyle around the ring and both teams fight on the floor. After a few back and forth sequences, the Undisputed Era begin to work over Eddie Edwards. Eventually Edwards is able to make the hot tag to Davey Richards and another brawl ensues that sees Roddy dispatched to the floor.

The finish comes when Edwards hits O'Reilly with a superkick who then is given a German Suplex by Richards. When Richards covers, Roderick Strong comes in with the tag team belt and nails Richards in the back of the head with it causing the disqualification.

Winners by disqualification: The American Wolves
Rating: 6.7

Following the win, the Wolves and the champs brawl with the American Wolves getting the better of the Undisputed Era and dump them on the floor. Davey and Eddie look at each other and embrace as the American Wolves have found a rebirth here in NXT. They celebrate in the ring to the fans delight when suddenly the lights go out....

Paul Ellering is on the stage and the Wolves turn their attention to him. From behind, the Wolves don't see

Rezar and Akam have snuck into the ring and they blast the Wolves from behind. The first one taken out is Davey Richards as he is hit with a Super Collider. Soon, Eddie Edwards is nailed with The Last Chapter.

During this, the champs crawl away from the ring and up to the ramp stopping before they meet Ellering. The Undisputed Era look at Ellering and then to the destruction in the ring. The Authors of Pain have returned to NXT. They point at the champions who are definitely in fear as NXT goes off the air.

yeah that was a really good show! All in all a top wrestlemania weekend. Looking forward for the RAW/SD after. Would expect maybe the Roman but definitely the KO return to normally be on the Raw after, I liked the swerve of having it be on WM itself but hopefully there's still some good stuff planned for what's normally the biggest RAW/SD of the year.

Obviously I am biased but, I am super proud of that Mania probably because I know how hard it was to get through. So happy with it.

As for the SuperStar ShakeUp? All I can say is:

NXT TakeOver: New York opens with a video set in the subways of New York City. With every passing train we see a highlight reel of the main matches: NXT Championship, NXT Womens Title, NXT UK Title and the Four Way Dance. Each train fades out into another train featuring the next match. The trains finally reach their destination and fans pour out chanting “We Ae NXT” as they walk up the stairs and out of the subway to their destination….the Barclay’s Center. The video ends with a wide shot of Barclay’s with the NYC skyline in the background while the fans continue to chant “We Are NXT”.

The video then cuts to: "And now, NXT & NXT U.K. present…NXT TakeOver: New York"

The crowd comes to life as Mauro and the team announce that the hottest company in sports and entertainment is taking over the hottest city in the world. This is New York City and this is NXT TakeOver. They put over the main event tonight and then prepare us as we go to the ring for the opening contest here at TakeOver.

Early on both men deliver stiff shots and Riddle goes for the Bro-Mission that made Dominik bail to the floor. While on the floor, Dominik throws Riddle knee first into the ring steps and begins to take down the King of Bros nearly securing a pinfall on several occasions. Riddle fights back and does a series of stiff shots to Dijakovic. He is able to hit a running knee to the head for a close two count. The King of Bros goes for another running knee but, Dominik catches Riddle’s leg, lifts him up and drops Riddle right on his head. He rolls up Matt and hooks the tights as the ref counts to 3.

The story of the match is early on Rhea & Toni start as a house of fire but then Jinny blasts Rhea from behind and Province double team Ripley dropping her head first on the steps. NXT medical officials check on the Women’s Champion while Toni Storm has to basically go it alone. Province take their time taking Storm apart but she will not give up until Rhea finally gets back onto the apron. Killer Kelly goes for a big foot but, Storm sidesteps her and hits an exploding back suplex. With Rhea cheering her on, Toni crawls to the lifeline of her partner and finally makes the tag. Kelly backs up cautiously as the champion gets into the ring. She glares at Kelly and Jinny and then TURNS AROUND AND STOMPS TONI STORM!

Kelly and Jinny join Rhea at the exact same time and the three just beat the hell out of Toni. With the ref confused, Province help’s Rhea deliver not one, but two Riptides on Storm before Jinny arrogantly covers for the 1…2…3.

After the match, Ripley sneers and looks down at Storm who is still out from the attack. The NXT United Kingdom Women’s Champion then looks at Province and gets a smile and walks over and hugs Killer Kelly & Jinny. The three women smile and laugh and it is clear that this was a set up all along. As Toni Storm comes to, Province leaves the ring and backs up the aisle gloating.

The strategy of Bobby Fish is to keep the champion grounded and it is a strategy that works for most of the match as Fish really pounds Ricochet and works on the head and neck area of Ricochet. Bobby goes for a diving headbutt and nails it but cannot secure the victory. Bobby errors when he goes for another headbutt and Ricochet meets him up top with an exploding Hurricanrana. From there, Ricochet hits several terrific aerial moves and goes for the 450 but, Fish gets his knees up. Fish nails Sleeping With The Fishes (Roundhouse kick to the head) and covers…1..2…the champion kicks out. When Fish goes for piledriver, Ricochet is able to backdrop him, hit a kick to the jaw and then go up top and nail the 450 for the successful title defense.

A video for the Winner's Choice Fatal Fourway at TakeOver airs. In it each man talks about how they feel that their career will be defined by this shot. Each man has stumbled on their road to glory but this one match can instantly catapult them to the highest of mountains. Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Tye Dillinger and Aleister Black all say "this might be my last shot, I am going to make it my best" and the video ends with Cole smugly saying "And that's...Undisputed."

Early on in the match, Cole is taken out by a Black Mass. Dillinger, Gargano and Black take their turns trading momentum and all three are able to score near falls before Cole rejoins the fray. The match takes a turn and becomes a wild brawl and Tye Dillinger is taken down with a running knee from Cole but only gains a two count thanks to Gargano breaking it up. Johnny locks in the Gargano Escape on Cole who struggles to get to the ropes, when Adam is almost there, Johnny pulls him back into the ring and locks it on again. Just as Cole looks like he is about to tap out, Aleister nails the Black Mass on an unprotected Gargano. Tye comes in and ducks under a attack from Aleister and nails the Tye Breaker on Black. Cover…1….2….Adam Cole breaks it up. Cole goes for a powerbomb onto Tye who reverses it and tries a Tye Breaker but, Cole lands on his feet and nails LAST SHOT. Cover…1….2….3.

This is a stiff brawl that goes inside and outside the ring with Conners focusing a lot on Dunne’s injured head from this past week’s tv. Dunne is able to fight off every advance and shake off the hits to the head but, suffers badly when he charges Conners in the corner and the challenger drops Dunne head first onto the turnbuckle. From there it seems almost inevitable as Conners hits Don’t Look Down and covers

Pete Dunne barely kicks out at the last second. Conners goes for it again but, Dunne turns it into an Impaler and begins his comeback. After some joint manipulation and a missed European Uppercut from the challenger, Joseph Conners meet’s Pete Dunne’s Bitter End for the 3 count.

At the beginning of the match, War Raiders show their dominance and force the champions to bail from the ring. When the challengers give chase, the champs are able to throw Hanson head first into the ring post and then get Rowe into the ring. Strong and O’Reilly take turns beating down Rowe while Hanson slowly gets back into the match. When the champs set up for Total Elimination, Hanson runs in and blasts Kyle from behind with a big boot to the back of the head. From there War Raiders take over and start giving Roddy what he deserves and soon they nail Fallout.

Kyle O’reilly makes it into the ring to break the count. A big brawl then ensues and during the chaos, Bobby Fish runs out and distracts the referee just as the challengers nail Fallout on Kyle. Adam Cole runs through the crowd and jumps the barrier and grabs a chair and nails Hanson in the back with the chair. When Rowe sees this, he beats the hell out of Cole who bails from the ring just as Fish gets ejected. Roddy nails a Rude Awakening and covers 1….2….Rowe kicks out.

The champs go for Total Elimination but Hanson rushes in yet again. He charges the champs but they both nail a superkick that takes Hanson down. O’Reilly & Strong then nail Total Elimination on Rowe and score the pinfall.

Following the match, O’Reilly and Strong bail happily leaving War Raiders defeated once more. The announcers put over that this was War Raiders last opportunity at the titles as Hanson and Rowe stand up. The New York crowd come to their feet and give the two warriors a standing ovation that clearly moves the beasts. Hanson and Rowe point to each other and then the crowd and depart the ring to the ovation of the NXT Universe.

Rating: 7.0

The cameras pan the crowd and eventually settle on Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Randy Orton both being shown in the crowd. The announcers remind us that while tonight is NXT’s night and the biggest night on the hottest brand, tomorrow night is the biggest night in the industry. They put over Ronda Rousey main eventing Wrestlemania tomorrow night and show how hot NXT is for Ronda and for Randy Orton to be here the night before such a big night. The announcers remind us to not miss Wrestlemania tomorrow night live from MetLife Stadium, streaming on the award winning WWE Network.

A hype video shows a cage lowering to the ring intercut with videos of Nikki Cross being crazy, Kairi Sane being daring and Shayna Baszler in MMA and during her dominant run in NXT. Kairi says she will risk her soul to win the NXT Womens Title. Shayna says she will break bones and have hers broken to remain champ. Nikki just says "FUN" and laughs as the cage lowers into the ring to end the video.

Rating: 7.4

For the first portion of the match, all three women attempt to escape the cage. Eventually the Queen of Spades throws both women into the cage and starts to dominate. It takes Kairi and Nikki teaming up and picking up the champion, putting her on their shoulders and using her head as a battery ram into the steel mesh over and over again to even the score. With Shayna down, Kairi and Nikki score near falls on each other before Baszler fights back in it.

The finish comes when Kairi Sane scales the top of the cage but, instead of going down the cage, she prepares to fly off with the IN-Sane Elbow. With the crowd egging her on, she leaps and connects but Shayna has caught Sane and locked in the Kirifuda! Kairi rolls around and tries to fight it off while Shayna keeps the hold on. Out of nowhere, Nikki Cross is seen on the top of the cage. She screams “FUN” and then leaps off the cage crashing onto Shayna with a Leg Drop from the top of the cage!!! Nikki crawls over and covers Shayna Baszler…1….2….NEW CHAMPION!

After the match, we see Shayna shocked at her loss and then cut to the back where Jay Lethal and Tommaso Ciampa are seen coming out of the locker rooms. They then walk down the hall towards the Gorilla Position as the NXT Championship match is next.

A music video airs of all that has transpired since Tommaso Ciampa won the NXT Championship and then shows the arrival into NXT of Jay Lethal. The video focuses on each man’s determination to be NXT Champion and finally ends on the face off this past week on NXT with “Goldie” raised high.

The two engage in a technical clinic to start the match with both men trying to score pinfall’s and both men almost scoring submissions. After frustration from the champ and the challenger, the technical aspect ends and a brawl ensues. Lethal scores with a release German Suplex and then does the Macho Elbow Drop from the top rope but Tommaso rolls out of the ring before the challenger can cover.

Jay Lethal ascends to the top and flies off but the champion catches him with a punch to the stomach and Lethal crashes into the ring barrier. Ciampa drops Lethal back first on the ring barrier and then throws him back into the ring. Ciampa hits a GTS and covers but the challenger kicks out at 2. Ciampa locks in a half Boston Crab and Lethal struggles but eventually makes it to the ropes. When the champion goes for the kill, Lethal nails a superkick and both men are down on the mat.

The challenger regains control but his injured back hinders any real momentum. Ciampa drops several knees onto the back of Lethal and sets up to nail Project Ciampa. The champion hits his finish and covers….1…..2……Lethal kicked out!

Ciampa can’t believe it but he is back on the attack. Tommaso nails a backstabber but again Lethal kicks out. Ciampa goes for a backbreaker but the challenger rolls the champion up for a near fall.

Lethal mounts a comeback and goes for the Lethal Injection but his back fails. The champion signals for Project Ciampa once more, he goes for it, Lethal turns the Powerbomb position into a hurricanrana and when Ciampa bounces off the ropes – LETHAL INJECTION.

Tommaso Ciampa rolls to the floor and sits there in stunned disbelief as Jay Lethal is handed the NXT Championship. Members of Jay Lethal’s family are shown with tears in their eyes. Lethal goes to the floor and hugs his mom and dad before getting back into the ring. The new NXT Champion has tears in his eyes as he stands on the second turnbuckle and raises the title high just as confetti falls from the top of the Barclay’s Center. Lethal’s teary eyes surrounded by confetti are the last thing we see as NXT TakeOver: New York goes off the air.

This match is a showcase of how much of a brute Gradwell has become. He pretty much owns Andrews and employs a bunch of stiff shots including several knees to the ribs before a back elbow to Andrews' head that knocks him out.

After the win, Gradwell grabs a microphone. He says that he knows in two days Joseph Conners will challenge Pete Dunne for the NXT United Kingdom Championship, but the winner of that match will not rest long. Gradwell says he has demanded and been granted his title shot next week against whomever wins in New York. Gradwell warns Dunne and Conners to be worried about him because the title is changing hands in seven days.

Finlay comes out to the ring. He says that when deciding what to do with the Coffey Brothers and thus, what to do about Gallus, he was presented with two options: let them stay or fire them. Finlay calls Joe and Mark Coffey to come down to the ring to learn their fate.

The Coffey's come out and go to come into the ring, but security prevents them from doing so. Finlay tells the Coffey's that his heart says to fire them right now and that is what the decision will be......unless Mark Coffey can prove him wrong. Tonight in the main event, Mark Coffey will go one-on-one with the NXT United Kingdom Champion, The Bruiserweight Pete Dunne in a non-title match. If Mark Coffey can find a way to win this match, the Coffey brothers get to keep their jobs. If Mark loses, the brothers will be fired publicly here tonight. Finlay wishes them good luck with a smirk as the Coffey's realize their backs are against the wall.

Yet another dominating performance from the monster known as Mastiff. Webster just cannot handle the power and the surprising speed of this big man and soon meets his end with a brutal spinebuster for the 3 count.

A promo video of a destroyed town shows. The people in the scene are clearly desolate and hungry. Hopelessness reigns supreme. Tears can be seen flowing down as the people cry out for help. The sun has set and darkness now reigns over the town desperate for help.

We get a video hyping the womens tag match at TakeOver: New York between the members of Province Killer Kelly & Jinny facing Toni Storm and NXT United Kingdom Women's Champion Rhea Ripley. We are told that Killer Kelly is in action..next.

Samuels is able to put up a fight during the early part of the match but, Jinny eventually distracts Nina and that allows Kelly to blast Samuels from behind. Soon Nina is falling victim to the Penalty Kick to the head and Killer Kelly shows that Province is ready for this Saturday and wins the match.

MAIN EVENT: NON-TITLE MATCH

Joe Coffey is clearly nervous throughout this match everytime that his brother is in trouble. And he's nervous often. Early on the Bruiserweight controls this match and everytime Coffey is able to come back, Dunne has an answer. Eventually Mark fights back and is able to hit a GTS on Dunne, but the Bruiserweight kicks out at the last moment. After some battling back and forth, Dunne is able to nail the Bitter End and make a cover but the ref doesn't count because Joe Coffey is now on the apron.

Joseph Conners uses the distraction to jump over the railing, grab the United Kingdom title and blast Dunne in the back of the head. Mark Coffey makes the cover just as Joe stops the distraction....1....2.....3. The Coffey Brothers' jobs are saved.

After thematch the Coffey Brothers hold Dunne up while Conners hits him again in the head with the belt and then they bail. Conners attacks Dunne while officials rush the ring. They try to separate Conners with the announcers questioning what will the condition of the champion be this Saturday at TakeOver as NXT UK goes off the air.

Back and forth encounter early on but, Ford hits a DVD on Gabriel and that turns the tide. The Profits hit the "Swagger" (Pop-up Spinebuster (Dawkins) & Split-legged frog splash (Ford) for the 3 count.

Riddle explodes with a series of knees and strikes to the head area that put's the big man down. Soon, Tino is tapping out to the BRO-Mission as Matt Riddle proves that he is ready for Dominik Dijakovic this Saturday at TakeOver.

Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Tye Dillinger and Aleister Black all say "this might be my last shot, I am going to make it my best" and the video ends with Cole smugly saying "And that's...Undisputed."

It points out that every person working for WWE, including those down in NXT and NXT UK, are eligible to be shaken up. Who will be left standing? A hype video shows a cage lowering to the ring intercut with videos of Nikki Cross being crazy, Kairi Sane being daring and Shayna Baszler in MMA and during her dominant run in NXT. Kairi says she will risk her soul to win the NXT Womens Title. Shayna says she will break bones and have hers broken to remain champ. Nikki just says "FUN" and laughs as the cage lowers into the ring to end the video.

Bianca gets some shots in and has her moments but, this match is largely a showcase for Nikki as she breaks out some strong amateur wrestling spots (including a few submissions) before ending Bianca with a guillotine leg drop from the top rope laughing as she comes down for the 1...2...3.

NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa is in the ring with "Goldie" when NXT returns from commercial. Ciampa says that it has not been easy to be at this moment. Everything he has ever done has led to it the opportunity to headline TakeOver in New York City. Ciampa admits that he has had to do things that he regrets to get here but, it is all worth it. Whether you love him or hate him, Tommaso Ciampa has earned this title...but Jay Lethal hasn't. He walks in here and just gets a title shot and that is what Ciampa resents...

Lethal comes out and is furious that Ciampa would imply that anything was handed to him. Jay Lethal has had to work for years, YEARS, in conditions that would make Ciampa quit to get just the opportunity that this moment presents. Triple H and William Regal offered Lethal an opportunity but, that's all that they offered. There were no guarantees. There were no promises. And in 3 days, at TakeOver, Jay Lethal can make three guarantees. Guarantee #1, is that Lethal is walking into that building. Guarantee #2, is that Lethal is kicking Tommaso's ass and Guarantee #3 is that "Goldie" is going to a new owner because on that night, as good as he may be, Tommaso Ciampa is not man enough to defeat Jay Lethal.

Ciampa, infuriated, gets into Lethal's face and says "then bring your best shot" and raises the championship in the air. Both men glare at each other and, with Mauro promoting the main event in the background, the camera focuses on the NXT Championship shining brightly in the air as NXT fades to black.

NXT U.K. opens with Province, Killer Kelly & Jinny, walking into the building. As they are about to enter, they pass two security guards who remove their coats and hats.....

Ripley and Storm attack Province from behind and throw both women onto vehicles which are parked. On the hoods of these vehicles, they pound away at the women they will face in 9 days at TakeOver until officials, including Finlay, race out and pull Storm and Ripley off. Kelly and Jinny crawl away back to their car and speed out of the building before any more harm can come to them.

Complete domination by Menzies who suplexes Dylan James all over the ring and puts in some stiff forearms to boot. Eventually James taps out to the Ankle Lock.

This is an all-out match from the get go for the debuting Kip Sabian. Sabian does very well against Samuel Gradwell and nearly scores the pinfall victory but, in the end, Gradwell does a Death Valley Driver into a Diamond Cutter and knocks out Sabian.

NXT United Kingdom Champion, Pete Dunne, comes to the ring. He says that as promised he is here to call out Joseph Conners. Conners’ comes down to the ring and teases just staying on the ramp before getting into the ring and going nose to nose with Dunne.

Conners says he doesn’t give a damn if Dunne likes him or not but, Conners has a problem with Dunne and the problem is that Pete has got Triple H and everyone at NXT snowballed. He has somehow convinced everyone that Pete Dunne is the best in the UK. This whole “bruiserweight” thing is a sham and it is a political machination. And at TakeOver: New York, Joseph Conners will expose Pete Dunne for the fraud that he is and become the new United Kingdom Champion.

Pete laughs at the “political machination” line and says that Joseph Conners doesn’t have a clue what it takes to be champion for one day let alone the nearly 2 years that Pete Dunne has held this title. Dunne tells Conners that he’s the Bruiserweight because he kicks the arse of everyone he meets. And he’s been the United Kingdom champion for this long because he kicks the arse of everyone he meets. This isn’t a gimmick and this isn’t a wrestling promo…it’s a promise: at TakeOver, Pete Dunne is going to kick Joseph Conner’s arse because at the end of the day, Conners is not tough enough and not man enough to stop Dunne.

Conners looks like he is gonna respond, but then he smiles and piefaces Dunne. When Conners goes to leave, he is spun around by an infuriated UK Champion and is locked in a joint manipulation where Dunne is bending Conner’s fingers and wrist back in an angle that it isn’t meant to be bent in. Dunne is screaming at the top of his lungs and tapping out furiously as the Bruiserweight applies more pressure with a maniacal look in his face. Officials start to run down to the ring while Conners screams as NXT U.K. goes off the air.

NXT opens with William Regal sitting in his office. He takes us back to last week to the interactions between Shayna Baszler, Nikki Cross and Kairi Sane. Regal says that for the last few months these issues have risen and they must be settled and settled decisively. So, therefore, the final match to announce at NXT TakeOver: New York is that Shayna Baszler must defend her NXT Women's Championship against both Nikki Cross and Kairi Sane. And to ensure that a decisive winner is crowned, this match will be contested inside a Steel Cage. He tells the viewers to enjoy tonight's edition of NXT.

The camera pans back to show Shayna Baszler watching the announcement on a monitor. She gets a shocked and then furious look and throws the television across the screen as NXT's opening credits roll.

Mauro and the crew welcome us to this week's edition of NXT. We are only 10 days away from NXT taking over New York City. Tonight, in our main event Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong - the Undisputed Era will take on Ricochet and War Raiders in a six man war. But, we go to the ring with our opening match and it features the man that could soon be the new NXT Champion Jay Lethal.

The Tennessee Cowboy James Storm gets some licks in early on but, the match is mostly to showcase Jay Lethal ahead of his NXT title match at TakeOver: New York. In the end, James Storm eats the Lethal Injection for the pinfall loss.

Following the win, Jay Lethal grabs the house mic. Lethal says that he has waited for nearly 20 years for the opportunity that lies before him in 10 days. This will be the biggest stage that Lethal has ever performed on. The truth is, for all his faults, there is a reason that Tommaso Ciampa is NXT Champion...he's that good. Lethal has faced Ciampa before. He knows what he can do. Tommaso Ciampa is as good as he thinks he is, but in 10 days at NXT TakeOver: New York, on that night for that one moment, Jay Lethal will prove that he is better. Destiny awaits and "Goldie" changes hands. Bank on it.

In the back is Matt Riddle. He is preparing for his match, which is next, but he tells the viewers that he cannot wait to get his hands on Dominik Dijakovic at TakeOver. Matt Riddle doesn't buy into the nice man act, he sees it for the bs that it is. And at TakeOver, the Original Bro is going to knock Dom out. Riddle heads to the ring for his match.

Riddle starts out hot but, then Matha is able to over power the King of Bros and damned near scores a pinfall victory. Soon, Riddle is back in control and goes for the BRO-Mission when Dominik Dijakovic rushes down to the ring, chair in hand. He slides in and slams the chair at the base of Riddle’s neck giving Matt the DQ victory.

Post match Dominik Dijakovic continues to attack Matt Riddle with the chair before nearly decapitating Riddle with a twisting lariat. With Riddle unconscious and officials racing in, Dominik again, but with more arrogance, shakes the hand of the King of Bros.

Tye Dillinger is shown alone in a room watching some of his best moments when in NXT. He says that going to the main roster was a mistake. This is where he belongs. NXT is home. And at TakeOver he has a chance to show the world once again why Tyle Dillinger is the Perfect 10. A fourway dance with the best NXT has to offer and a title match hangs in the balance? Tye swears that he will risk life and limb to cash in on this moment. He has no other choice. At TakeOver, Tye Dillinger will prove why he is the Perfect 10.

This is a crazy and wild brawl that starts out evenly until the Undisputed Era gets control and takes apart Ricochet while War Raiders keep trying to make the save. Eventually the tide turns and War Raiders start evening the odds and soon it’s a crazy brawl again. The finish comes when Ricochet takes Fish to the floor and Roderick has been disposed of. War Raiders set up Kyle O’Reilly for the FallOut when

Adam Cole jumps over the guard rail and pushes Hanson off the top rope and sends the big man to the floor. The referee was distracted and missed the whole thing. Cole distracts Rowe which allows Roderick to sneak back in and O’Reilly & Strong nail Total Elimination. Kyle covers for the 1..2…3.

NXT U.K. opens with a recap video of last week where Joseph Conners was "punished" by next UK General Manager, Finlay, and put into a match with Mastiff. The video shows how Conners tried to bail but, Finlay threw him back in where Conners fate was sealed with a Spinebuster. The last image is of Mastiff standing tall and roaring to the crowd.

Gallus is again shown trying to enter the arena like last week. They are met with security once more who prevent them, but then are told to allow Wolfgang in. Bewildered, he goes past security and when the Coffey brothers go to follow, security again stops them. Wolfgang walks into the arena alone with the Coffey brothers furious.

A competitive match but then Charlie Morgan gets control and really has the match in hand until she gets too arrogant and Xia Brookside is able to roll her up in a small package and score the surprise victory.

Finlay says that since "Province" finds reason to gloat about their heinous treatment of Toni Storm and Rhea Ripley, it is time to stop gloating and its time to put up or shut up. So, at NXT TakeOver: New York, the night before Wrestlemania, Kelly and Jinny will do just that when they take on Toni Storm and NXT United Kingdom Women's Champion Rhea Ripley in a tag team match. Now, tweet about that, ladies.

Kento Miyahara and Mark Andrews have a very competitive match that ends when Miyahara misses a running kick, Andrews drops him with a back suplex and then a Shooting Star Press for the victory.

This is a wild, almost car crash match where all three men fly all over the ring, on the floor and even into the crowd. In the end Williams nails Ashton Smith with a springboard back elbow right to the temple which knocks him out and Williams scores the pinfall victory.

As expected, this is a stiff match between two big men and not a technical master class. Early on Mastiff dominates before Wolfgang is able to gain control. When Wolfgang lifts Mastiff up for a Widow’s Peak, Mastiff is able to drop down, bounce off the ropes, deliver a high knee to Wolfgang’s head and take control again. Soon, Mastiff is setting up for the Spinebuster when, out of nowhere, The Coffey Brothers rush into the ring and attack Mastiff. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner by disqualification: Mastiff

Following the match, Gallus commences a full on assault on Mastiff who is able to hold his own until the numbers game catches up to him. Soon, Gallus are setting Mastiff up for massive powerbomb assisted by all three men but, before they can drop Mastiff on his neck, security flood the ring and Finaly rushes out giving orders. Gallus quickly hop the rails and escape through the crowd as Finlay is shouting obscenities when NXT U.K. goes off the air.

Wolfgang drops a elbow to the back of Saint's neck and then does a Samoan Slam to the GM of NXT U.K. and then Gallus are on him like a pack of animals. Joe Coffey slides out of the ring and sets up a table and then gives direction as Wolfgang powerbombs Johnny Saint from inside the ring over the ropes and through the table. Gallus stands over the crumpled body of Johnny Saint while officials and wrestlers, good and bad, race down the aisle. Everyone is furious and shocked as they check on Saint. Gargano is looking more and more in control as he begins to pick apart Black, focusing on that leg, but he gets too cocky and when he charges into the corner, Black catches him with a reverse elbow that stuns Gargano. Black, limping slightly, goes on the offense with a series of stiff strikes which put Gargano in the corner, still victim to a flurry of Black’s attacks. Black whips Gargano hard into the corner so much so that he flips, and gets his right foot caught. Gargano is tied up in a Tree of Woe as Black kicks him again and again. Finally Black backs off at the referee’s four count and Gargano drops to the mat. Slowly turning himself over and trying to stand but Gargano drops to his knees, barely even conscious, and Black allows for a momentary smirk of satisfaction as he lines up Gargano for Black Mass. Suddenly Gargano’s wife, Candice LaRae slides into the ring and stands between the two men, begging for mercy for her husband. Black shouts at her to get out of the way but she continues to plead. Black grows impatient and nudges her gently out of the way, turning to tell her to get out of the ring. This is all Gargano needs, as his wife’s distraction has allowed him to clean his cobwebs. When Black turns back to Gargano, Johnny jumps up and hits a Codebreaker. Black is on his feet from the rebound but he’s stunned. Gargano hits a superkick, and Black is swaying. Another superkick, and he drops to a knee. Gargano hits Black with a third superkick and puts the Dutch Destroyer down for a three count. Conners battles back and nails a Double Stomp on Gradwell for a near fall. Conners goes for a Double Arm DDT but, Coffey is back in and blasts him from behind. Coffey takes out Gradwell and sets his sights on Conners. Coffey nails the rolling clothesline for a 2 count and goes for a Snap Powerbomb but, Conners reverses, lifts him and nails Don't Look Down (lifting Flatliner). Conners covers as Gradwell tries to break it up but can't, 1...2...3.
