  4. ROAD TO WK16 - SUMMER STRUGGLE IN MEIJI-JINGU STADIUM Summer Struggle Backstory: Following an attack from EVIL after the first night of Road to Summer Struggle, it was made official that The King of Darkness will challenge The Rainmaker for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. This restarted the classic rivalry of CHAOS vs. Bullet Club, meanwhile United Empire took on members of NJPW Hontai led by Cobb and O-Khan challenging Golden Ace for their respective singles champion. This left Suzuki-Gun and LIJ. Naito and his allies have been feeling quite directionless, so to fix that Naito announced that him and Takagi would challenge Dangerous Tekkerz while at the same time, SANADA ended up becoming the target of an enraged Minoru Suzuki. Meanwhile "Switchblade" Jay White announced the start of his "NEVER gonna beat Jay White" tour as he demanded to face former NEVER Openweight Champs as part of his tour as NJPW's first ever Grand Slam Champion, his opponent for BOSJ was set with former Ace, Yuji Nagata challenging the young champion. At the same time, Hiroshi Tanahashi campaigned throughout the tour to get a rematch. Here are the standing for both blocks first to last, from left to right A Block: Taiji Ishimori [10] | El Desperado [10] | YOH [8] | BUSHI [8] | Robbie Eagles [6] | Master Wato [4] | Chris Bey [4] | Fuminori Abe [2] B Block: Daichi Hashimoto [10] | Ryu Lee [9] | ELP [9] | SHO [8] | Jonathan Gresham [6] | Lio Rush [4] | Ryusuke Taguchi [2] | Tiger Mask IV [2] ------ Kizuna Road / Sengoku Lord Backstory: Sengoku Lord's build was defined by two Faction v Faction storylines. Meanwhile Jay White's "NEVER gonna beat Jay White" tour ran into Hiroshi Tanahashi as The Ace was given his rematch for the NEVER Openweight Championship and regained the championship following a High Fly Flow. Kota Ibushi looking to bounce back, ended up in the crosshairs of the United States Champ, unfortunately KENTA bit off more than he could chew as Ibushi captured his first IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship win and joined Jay White as a NJPW Grand Slam winner. 6. ROAD TO WK16 PART ONE - DOMINION 2021 ----- ----- Dominion 2021 Backstory: With the injury to IWGP World Heavyweight Champion WIll Ospreay, the title was officially vacated and Ospreay was stripped of it causing the main event of Dominion to change from Okada/Ospreay to Okada facing the first IWGP World Champion Kota Ibushi, the opinion of Ohbari was that Ibushi should be the one to challenge as the first champion and no other contenders have the right to challenge for the belt. Wreck's Note for Dominion 2021: In real life, this event was the birth of Shingo's reign that propelled him into main event status but when I had booked this dominion card, I believed that it was weird to give it to the guy who lost the previous title match rather than the first champion. So instead the card was changed drastically from the IRL one. The reasoning behind the US title change was me fixing a terrible call of not having KENTA beating Moxley, during the diary you're going to see that I was isolating myself from AEW and such. Around the world news: - The biggest news was that Daniel Bryan's contract with WWE was about to end and it caused a three company bidding war with WWE and AEW neck-in-neck and NJPW in a distant third. But in the end, Bryan signed a brand new two year contract, locking him in WWE till 2023. - WWE would also resign multiple fired talent as Andrade and Braun Strowman with NJPW losing another bidding war, this time for the former La Sombra.
  7. WRECK PRESENTS NJPW - 2021 and Beyond - Lion's Roar Starting Point: Dominion 2021 / June 2021 User Character: Milano Collection Starting Money: 50,000,000 Figurehead: Kazuchika Okada Backstory: The era of Gedo ended in June as ! The former booker of the year winner and Junior Legend announced that he would be stepping down as head of creative. To replace him, President Ohbari announced that Commentator and Toryumon graduate Milano Collection AT would be stepping up to head of creative and still keeping his commentary position. What direction will NJPW take under this new regime? Can Milano elevate the promotion after a disappointing 2020? WRECK'S NOTE So at the moment, this save file has been going on for two years as I started this in 2021. The first official show of the diary will be my universe's WK16 and we will proceed from there. All major events and tours will be given small posts until then, recapped with a basic on who were feuding and such. Once the recaps are finished, then posts such as rosters, title history and etc. till then there will be a handful of reserved posts for that.
