1. I would upgrade this and say ‘it’s pretty certain it’s due to the mod you’re using’.
 2. Still not played the game yet, but did you perform the maintance portion in the instructions tab? That used to be an issue in the past and was fixed with a one cell drag. If its somehting different, we'd probably need your current excel sheet and save file.
 3.
I don't have the game yet but glad to see the file is still around and glad its being kept up to date with any new stat and features from the 2020 release <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Is the update 'bug' still a problem as I think I found a way to add an 'alert' to the user that there was an issue and that the maintence step was needed (to save having to do the drag down each update) but don't think I ever released any updated versions back in the day.

Edit : Also! Farewell TinyPic! (see old thread) You were conveinient back in 2016....

Edit 2: Shocked Sendspace still exists and the original file never got deleted there as I clog up 6mb of their server for free for 4 years. That implies that at least one person has downloaded the file every 30 days for the past 4 years.... that's pretty cool.

Edit 3 : Also didnt realise the game hadn't yet released >.< Assumed it was given that the sheet was updated <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 4. in _code02, column AJ you'll find the BRAND> So have a blank column in _WorkerSetup looking at that (e.g., in cell FO4, "=_code02!AJ2" and drag down a signigicant amount)... Then, get the TEW2016 tab to look directly to the _WorkerSetup tab to grab the data for sorting (i.e., _WorkerSetup must never be re-ordered, but you can do various sorts and stuff with the main tab). I think..... i made this year ago and have been modding Motorsport Manager for the past year, I've really not played any TEW.
 5. Does anyone have any ideas on the gimmick/personality/persona for CV97's Sid Streets and Sean McFly. As two of Swf's top stars, I don't really know these two enough to understand them, and thus, how I feel like booking them.
 6.
Still loving this mod. I've decided to, for the first time ever, to try SWF for a serious lengthy game.

As I aphave always in the past created my own promotions from nothing building up, I have decided to see what the other end of the game looks like (since first playing Tew 2005) as it's rare for me to take my generated company much beyond cult (as the grind from regional to cult seems to take forever, I end upnlosing steam once I hit it).

What I really like, which I never realised before, was the starting storylines, which involved everyone. As I've always found that when starting a non-company is harder as I don't really understand the story of all the current workers. In a way, I kinda wish they had more storyline history built into the game, so you can see much more of the oath they have taken to get to where I pick them up in 1997 (though I know realistically that's far too much work).

I thought about trying to recreate some Cverse SWF history with this save, so does anyone know if there exists any Canon-ish fuels and storylines which happens in the SWF between 1997 and 2005 (beyond the starting feuds)?

I have the total liniage to go by, and I have the knowledge of some workers (I am looking forward to Lobster Warrior assuming he develops well) and know that the world won't parallel like the actual CVerse, but it would be awesome to have some canon crossover. Anyone know of any resources I can look at?

 7.

I didn't touched the Excel File, it is just the same as the one we can download (I tried numerous time by downloading it again just in case) so I don't know if it could be useful, but anyway here's the excel file (with my data) + the MDB file, if that can help. Thanks in advance for trying to help! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

https://www.mediafire.com/?dd7dyaexy3lg77y

Okay, the reason you're not seeing all of the stars is because I setup the original excel sheet to only check each workers contracts for the FIRST 100 workers... It seems like this dataset has a total of 132 workers - so those 32 workers are missing from the sheet. As I was only using CVerse, I never had a situations where I had over 100 workers - so never tested the limits.

As a quick fix, in CODE01, you need to drag the final entry in Column E down further to the orange line...

You then need to look at Column H, row 4 and change =SMALL($G$4:$G$103,C4)

to

=SMALL($G$4:$G$203,C4)

This makes it look at the new values you dragged down a moment ago. Then drag this cell down to the orange line.

The rest of the sheet should now update to show the 132ish workers.

I'm working on an all-singing all-dancing Excel file, but am after someone who can test it for me to see if my data transfer method works. I made this spreadsheet for myself and as such, didn't attach any bells and wistles that I didn't feel I needed. I like your addition of adding the storyline, belts and power 500 rankings. You also display things more User Friendly (UI is something I really don't specialise in).

So I feel that maybe your version would be better suited for the average user. So feel free to send it over for me to look at and test.

 8. Feel free to send me your excel files so I can have a look to see what the issue is - as I will need more information than what you've both provided.
 9. I can tell you the process of how I made each one, but not until Monday as I am currently out of the country. Additionally, there is a format option where you can reveal each and every formula in the sheet so you can see the exact formula for yourself, though I cannot exactly remember where that is in excel.
 10.
Have you deleted all the cells in the contracts and workers tab completely?

Failing that, in post 13 is an empty version, which worked for someone else who had this issue. Something about different version of excel incompatibilities.

For that level of information change, it would be worth the effort of unpicking the save file.

 12.

All that info can be pulled from the MDB file, in the workers section.

While it can, you can't put it back into the database from the exported one - as it doesn't have any impact from the save.

You'd have to export the password protected save game database, extract from that, edit in excel and then copy and past it back into the password protected save file.

It's doable but has two issues

1) you make a tiny error in your edits, e.g., hit o instead of 0, you're going to cause and error and crash when that bit of data is used. It's why Adam doesn't suggest you edit this file like this.

2) the tabs in the save game database are different to what we are given in the Exported database (it's why it takes so long to export when you've gone through a few game years - as its hacking together a whole new database, not simply making an exact replica of the current database). I believe a workers Id and name are on one tab, their skills are in another, and their popularity are in a third ( it's been a while since I looked at it). In Tew 2013 I had to import about 6 tables, instead of just the two of Contracts and Workers, in order to get the same information.

Needless to say, my codes and things from this file only work with exported databases, and will likely fail if it gets data from the main database.

I believe this is only for saved games is that correct?

You want to edit the database in excel?

no, I don't think you can. Even if you import your save game database (as opposed to the export database whichever is just a redundant snapshot if your database), you can't export the table back to access - without copy and pasting the same tables back in (by which time, you may as well just edit the database direct).

It's not really advised though, and the in game editor exists as a safe way to do this anyway. It's a bit like hacking a save file for zoo tycoon that already has a money cheat built in.

I was hoping it would automatically update the stats of my workers.

Yeah, I can feel your pain if you're doing all those conversions. I've tried to make it be updatable with as few as steps as possible given the system we have.

There is only one way to make it more automatic, and that is the system I used for Tew2013 where I extracted data right out of the password protected database file. That is persistent so all the fields in my old excel file are updated with every save and refresh. The issue with this, is that you have to close Excel to sever the connection between Excel and That spdatabase, otherwise TEW wouldn't save as the database is considered in use. I had to collected about six tabs worth of data to get what the exported ones do in two tabs, so it was a lot of work (and means that making the tew2016 one for extracted databases quite quick...

Still got no idea why it sometimes bugs out in _code2 on a refresh

Of course, then you have the problem of redoing any formula that Calc sorts out slightly differently to Excel.

I believe Excel and OneDrive have some sort of online tool for free... I don't know much about how that system works (or if it is only pretending to be free), but that could well be easier to get working then with open office like applications.

<img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> and thank you

It would need to 1) be able to import dbm files into cells, and 2) have the exact same formulas that excel knows (VLookUp, etc). I don't know if that program does this

(Optional 3/ has conditional formatting to allow it to look similar to my screenshots)

 18.

Huge fan of your work!

Do you know how to make name appear insted of worker name (from contract tab) in TEW 2016 tab?

Having a issue using modsquads past montreal screwjob mod where Kane is called Glen Jacobs and Faarooq is called Ron Simmons ect.

Thanks again for the spreadsheet

This one is quite easy. In _WorkerSetup, in cell J4... The code is "=_code02!F2" for the everyday worker name. I believe what you are after is just referred to as "Name" so replace that code with "=_code02!H2" and then drag that down about 200 cells and that will auto-update the main tab

(You'll have to drag those columns more if you have more then 200 workers ... I don't play real world mods so don't have the file using over 200).

Thanks for the support <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 19.
To change the Home region for overness:

In WorkerSetup, click on Mid South cell, and type '='

Then, find the cell of the region you want to be your home... (It is towards the far right of the spreadsheet - all of them are there), press enter once on the right cell.

If the heading has changed correctly, you can just drag the rest of the column down there, to update all the values. Everything else that uses the hime region overness should auto update...

Beyond that, it becomes a little more complex, as you'd need to begin inserting cells in both WorkerSetup and the main tab, to add more regions to that part of the spreadsheet.

It does already have the USA national average overness on it though. You can later that, but I think that was just an Average formula over all the regions you desire.

 20.
In regard to the refresh:

So long as the save file your using is the same, so long as you Delete the old exported databas, and call your new one The Same thing, when you refresh it will think it's just an updated database and import all the changes.

You only need to do things manually again if you either 1) use a new save file (as that changes the file path) or 2) call the database something different.

Unfortunately, tew2016 doesn't allow you to overwrite an export database, so you must manually delete old ones. (I make a shortcut next to where I keep my excel file to take me right to that folder). Maybe Adam could implement overwriting a database file in a future update if it's requested, I don't know how much work that would involved (as there has to be a check to see if the file is being used elsewhere first).

Your other question is far more intricate. I'll have to be careful how I word it or use diagram or a video, so I will wait till I am not busy to answer it (am just about to grab lunch)

 21.

Thank you flamingred, just download your spreadsheet then I modify with my own spreadsheet.

Just wondering, do you have calculation / assumption about the charisma and star quality bonuses on angle or custom rating? Or another possible bonuses.

Honestly, I can't remember. I think I want to say No though, as I can't remember off hand how much those bonuses are.

I don't have a column which does an Angle custom rating, so all those stats are raw, other then the actual Entertamint formula, - so that one might have star quality included.

Custom match rating though I think I only used Psycology, basics and max top row stat.

All the formulas I use are just a slight guide anyway to tell me

a) is this person decent at a match or an angle for where I want them on the card

b) how over is everyone compared to everyone else (which was the hardest thing to see in the game itself)

C)checking various information out of game to see if they can fit a role I want.

I don't feel like I need anything more accurate formula wise, i just like to be able to look at my workers and do quick comparisons.

On another excel sheet, I keep a copy of my cards (which I pre plan there anyway) and with each show, I copy down the results, angle and match scores, and now individual performance scores. This takes a few minutes but let's me see actual worker improvements.

 22.
I initially shared this as its what I actively use, so never put much detail into the headers - I know what they mean <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> maybe if I update it later I'll add more comments.

The custom rating is indeed an estimate formula which is half what is in Derek B's mod making thread from 2013, this is true for the With Overness, though you have to set the figures yourself (there is a 0.3 and a 0.7 in the Worker Setup folder which adjusts the custom ranting to overness,

The Entertainment rating is an estimate formula for the Entertainemnt skill in angles using facts in the player handbook (which I think I left a screenshot of in Worker Setup.

Max Entertainment is the Best entertainment skill number for the worker, (out of looks, selling, star quality, etc. Useful if you want to have the worker rated on those instead of overness or general entertainment). The skill in question is the one next to it.

Skill one and Skill 2 are the names of the workers best tto top row skills.

Max type is the works value for their highest top row stat

Stamina is worked out in 5 levels, empty meaning they struggle with 5 minute matches, one quarter for ten minute matches, half for 16 minute matches,s three wasters for 35ish and full for upto an hour ish... It is based off of some 2010 stamina to minutes a worker can compete data someone collected.

I think the rest is self explanatory...

Feel free to fiddle with the equations, and move things around. There's probably more accurate data on the forum now for some of these.

It's all currently setup for my long lasting save game, which uses only one main region. If you're not in the mid south, you'll need to adjust that column (and custom rating with overness too will be affected). If you're getting towards cult, you may want to add a second region overness column. If you're national, you'll want to switch to your country, and maybe other counties in general. I don't play many big companies to begin with, so this table really isn't optimised for them - but if my current save file gets me to that size, I'll release one then.

In general, you want to edit the WorkerSetup columns, shifting columns and formulas there. The main tab just copies that tab, but adds the conditional formatting and allows you to sort your workers without screwing up the data upon a refresh

 23.
It was simpler, but now that the game runs off of Databases, I can see why it would be simpler to export at a database.

But also, if you wanted any formatting, you'd have to do it each time you exported a new excel file - so my current method allows me to see relevant data at a glance without looking too deeply at numbers.

I actually don't mind this change, though an expert Access user will laugh lots at the inefficiency I use for my excel sheet.

Last year, with no export function at all, I had to R1ddleMeTH1s2013 my way through the main save file database, import 8 tables from Access to get the same spreadsheet of information, so this is a much more efficient export rendition (and safer too, as the game wouldn't save if I had recently imported that database into excel and not stopped the connection).

 24. That's still the Save File Data... not the Exported MDB. You get the option to name that database when you export it from the options, so it should not be called "TEW2016.mdb"
 25.
I actually did this on purpose - turning "Main Event" into "1"... I did this so I could sort my workers by High-Low push (1 Main event, 2 Upper midcard etc) instead of Alphabetical Order Push name (1. Enchancement, 2. Lower Midcard, 3: Main Event. 4. Midcard, etc etc.

Replace _WorkerSetup cell H5 from "Lots of IF Statements" with "=_code02!K3" and drag that down, to get the 'names' of the push
