Also, I'm not sure if you can do this, but you might get a negotiation bonus from offering wage matching, even though it's impossible to get anyone with a higher wage.

Something along the lines of "match was penalized for odd face/heel combination".

Those things can either penalize or limit the performance of your wrestlers.

 7.

When booking storyline segments/matches I have a tendency to lose heat. How do you gain heat a little more consistently ?

It's based on the segment rating relative to the heat the storyline already has. If it has high heat already, you need to continuously have high-rated segments if you want to maintain it.

 8. If we can book road agent notes ahead of time, does that mean we get feedback ahead of time? That would be a big help in dealing with creative control and worker morale.
 9.

I think I've asked before, but what contributes to Wrestler of the Year? Tanahashi has had more matches, better results/and average. And won mostly everything. Meanwhile Yuji Nagata actually won wrestler of the year, despite not winning any titles, and having weaker matches. (Not much weaker, but wtf)

Could never forget it out.

It's based on whoever is #1 on the Power 500 on Jan 1, afaik. That still doesn't help much, though.

TEW2004 had a real calendar. Adam removed it when he made TEW2005 and we've had it that way for almost 15 years now. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that isn't a part of the game that's going to change. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I personally wouldn't use an example of the games changing calendar systems as my reasoning for why the game isn't going to change it's calendar system, but maybe that's just me.

 11.

That would be the one way it wouldn't work, surely? If I set WWE to run WrestleMania on April 7th, then that would work fine for this year, but the following year it would run WrestleMania on a Monday, then the year after that a Tuesday, etc. It would only work, as someone else said, it you put "The third Sunday of the month" or something like that, but with even that would be a pain in the backside to program...

I'm not sure you understand what I was saying. I may have phrased it poorly. I was saying that almost all situations could be handled by one of two situations: Either it will be a specific date (e.g. December 25 for a Christmas event), *or* it could be the Xth Yday of Z (e.g. the 3rd Sunday of July).

 12.

Yeah, this; mainly with repetitive events. Just look at this month. If I schedule an annual event on March 22nd -- do I want it to always be the 22nd, or do I want it to be the 4th Friday, or do I want it to be the next-to-last Friday? Or do I just want it to be 'around' the 22nd, and the actual day is flexible? There are ways around it, but always being on the same day is much easier to program...and you just can't do that using a real-world calendar.

All that said, I was disappointed when the series moved away from Real-World, and I'd love to see it go back.

It seems to me that the overwhelming majority of cases could be handled by either "this specific date" or "the _th _day of this month". If not accurately, at least as accurately as the current system.

 13.

This is one of those things I keep waiting for. It's a little immersion breaking for me to not have a real world calendar.

Honestly, I don't even know the reason why they have the calendar the way they do currently. Is it an issue with the AI not knowing how to properly schedule annual events? If so, this is the perfect time to fix it. And I can't think of any other reason why it would be necessary off the top of my head.

 14.
The big issue I see with numbering shows (weekly shows, at least) is that unless the calendar has been changed to be an actual calendar, the numbers won't be accurate. As it stands now, there are only 48 weeks in a TEW year.

That said, I would love it if they did fix the calendar, regardless. So I'll just wait and see.

 15.

Pretty sure they do.

I just made a quick new test game to check it out and it looks like you're right. Too bad. It means I have to cancel my B-show. 30 min isn't enough to justify the price and I don't want to increase the time since I'm trying to move forward in time quickly.

 16. I imported "A New Dawn Arises" from TEW2013 and am going to edit it a bit so I can play. I want some rules for a July 2012 WWE game. I already have some plans, so some rules might not work, but I'm looking to make things interesting for myself. If it matters, I'm going to keep my product mostly the same, but somewhat increase Modern and Daredevil to match up with the direction WWE has been going since then.
 17. They are? I just played it yesterday, and I could have sworn it said there were no differences between live and taped shows.
 18. A thought I just had: Will single-recording taped shows continue to have no penalties to ratings? That would make sense from a gameplay perspective, but it seems a bit inconsistent.
 19.

What people need to take into account is that if there are no drawbacks to doing block tapings, why wouldn't everyone block tape everything all the time? There have to be drawbacks to balance the benefits.

What benefits? The only advantage I can think of is you can schedule it on a day that no one is absent, and most of the time, if you have TV, you'll also have exclusive contracts.

Also, there is another major drawback, worker fatigue.

 20.

What's the consequences of just turning a blind eye?

For soft/hard drugs, alcohol, and painkillers, there's a chance for your wrestlers to show up to an event wasted. For all types of drugs, but especially steroids, there's a risk of scandal for your company if it gets out. And all types of drug use can lead to worse personalities and health risks.

 21.

Do Gimmicks convert correctly between '13 and '16?

I can't speak for all of the details, but I just converted a '13 mod yesterday and at the absolute minimum, the names, initial gimmick assignments, and initial ratings are all maintained.

 22. Unrelated to my previous question, maybe I've just missed something and the game tells you this, but I can't find it if it does. Do per-show costs apply multiple times if you have multiple shows on the same night in the same arena?
 23.
This may not be the right place to post this, so if I should be asking somewhere else, just say so and I'll go.

Are there any decent RW mods for TEW2016 that start in 2011 or 2012? I know there's at least one good one for 2013, but I don't know how to update a database. That's the time I first started watching WWE, so I want to play then.

 24.
I used the editor to start the game with a company that 0 popularity and prestige, but $100M. I justified it by saying that SDW (Some Dude's Wrestling) was founded by some dude after he won the lottery. I spent $60M in the first week to create a Commercial broadcaster with Enormous coverage in the USA and Very Small coverage everywhere else in the world. Obviously, not an especially challenging concept, but it's incredibly fun to see both you and your wrestlers explode in popularity.

I'm reaching the end of February. So far, SDW has run one event (Supernova), 6 A shows, and 1 B show, and we we just hit Regional. I'm at 12 pop in the USA, 4 in Europe, 2 in Britain, Japan, and Australia, and 2 or 3 in Canada and Mexico. One of my custom wrestlers who started with 0 pop is now in the low 20s in the USA and upper teens everywhere else.

One of the great things about this premise is you don't need to make any concessions to finance in your product. No need to worry about sponsorship or being unable to get good time slots. As such, I have a product that I've fine-tuned and I really love. Here's what it is:

Traditional: Medium

Mainstream: Medium

Comedy: Low

Cult: Key Feature

Risque: Very Low

Modern: Key Feature

Realism: Medium

Hyper-Realism: Very Low

Hardcore: Medium

Lucha Libre: Key Feature

Pure: Medium

Daredevil: Key Feature

Basically, it's an ultra-intense style that also has quite a bit of kayfabe and storylines mixed in. It requires 60% match intensity and 80% danger. It also makes me completely unable to get any time slot besides Graveyard from any broadcaster but mine and makes getting sponsorship "extremely tough". But it also lets me have perf>>pop matches, which is incredible. That aforementioned 22-pop custom wrestler has gotten me two 73s in the last two weeks.

I think I've already written for long enough, but if anyone is interested in knowing more, just ask whatever you want!
