<p>Basically, without going into detail, I can say this about my BREAKTHROUGH promotion save.</p><p> </p><p> * Nearing the 1-year mark on the save.</p><p> * CM Punk has joined the company and has won the world title off of Claudio Antonio Castagnoli, who is busy with his stable, the Industry (with Stu Barrett, Chris Hero, Marty Scurll, LuFisto and Doug Williams).</p><p> * Might be considering giving RVD and Zack Sabre Jr. a tag run, since they have excellent chemistry and scored a big A with Hero and Claudio.</p><p> * Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE contract came up, and both they and TNA lost out in the bidding war against BREAKTHROUGH. He is guaranteed to be a main event mainstay at this point. I don't know why, but I almost snatched up Bo Dallas too, but I didn't really feel like it in the end.</p><p> * Dave Batista is set to have a hiatus from the company for filming a movie in July. Not doing too much with him so far, besides being Punk's challenger at Drunken Desires. Might have him put over a couple talents when the Battle For Washington Tournament comes up in June.</p><p> * Also, I somehow managed to sign up Stone Cold Steve Austin for a deal, and WWE didn't bother at all to try and counter-act. He'll be the surprise guest host of Drunken Desires.</p><p> * I considered hiring The Rock as well, since he was open for negotiations, but since his regular employment salary for a written contract nears $100,000, I think I'll give it some time before I get to him. No pressure, since WWE isn't touching him right now.</p>

Is there a certain kind of combination in an owner's business skills or personality that affects whether or not they will allow companies smaller than theirs to join the alliance that they're involved in? Because I made an alliance with a couple of companies, including NJPW, in a current day save with a custom fed, but NJPW refuses to let any smaller companies in, including my developmental. Also, is it possible to make talent trades with a child company (specifically for workers on PPA, not developmental, contracts) outside of an alliance.

I changed my mind on the August 2016 save. Instead, I've got the Montreal Aftermath going, I got a June 2007 save (basically so Benoit doesn't die), and there was the 9000-Verse ECW save that I only touched once in the past week.

<p>I've just done the 1999 Royal Rumble in my Montreal Aftermath save; Ken Shamrock loses the IC belt to Paul Wight, but still retains against Vader, and Austin has won his second Rumble in a row (I was thinking The Rock could win on this year, but I changed my mind).</p><p> </p><p> A major storyline I've got going is a "power struggle" sort of thing between Vince McMahon and Commission (Sergeant) Slaughter, culminating in a match between the two at WrestleMania and a brand-split immediately after Mania, leaving Vince to put Shane in charge of SmackDown, while Slaughter takes Raw.</p><p> </p><p> After watching the first part of WhatCulture's How They Should Book The Brand Split, I've decided to split the roster in a similar fashion, with most of the more experienced veterans (HBK, Legion of Doom, Undertaker, Vader) being on Raw, and most of the newer breed, as in the people who have come into WWF just years prior (Rock, Shamrock, Foley, Kurt Angle, Jushin Liger, Kane), being on SmackDown.</p><p> </p><p> There will be a couple of newer people in the Raw roster, most notably Paul Wight, the IC champion at that point, so the titles stay balanced on both brands, and an old guy or two on SmackDown (Jushin Liger is by a technicality a 10+ year pro, but counts as a new talent due to just arriving last year).</p><p> </p><p> However, the WWF title (who will be on the Rock by the time this first Draft comes around) will not stay on one brand and have an equivalent on the other; like the tag belts, it'll float between brands. Raw gets the European title and, later on, the Women's title when I revive the division later, while SmackDown gets the Intercontinental and Light Heavyweight titles.</p>

Just went through Unforgiven, with Vader and Paul Wight defeating the Brothers of Destruction, Shawn Michaels defeating Triple H (who was kicked out of DX and replaced with Jeff Jarrett), and Ken Shamrock getting the #1 Contendership spot for the title on the End of Year SmackDown special the Thursday after (the pilot to WWF SmackDown itself) over Stone Cold and The Rock. Then on the End of Year SmackDown, The Rock and Stone Cold beat The Brothers of Destruction, and Ken Shamrock defeated Vader for the WWF title via KO, to close out 1998. Oh, and WCW has been at Cult size since April of last year.
