I've checked the data and all pics are linked to the data. Have you selected the correct picture folder within the database details in the editor?

Yeah, the correct folder is selected in details. I may have to delete the mod and pics and reinstall all to see if that fixes it.

  2. Love this mod but I wish WWE wouldn't raid TNA at the start of the game. They weren't interested in Bubba, Christian and Rhyno so not sure why they come in for them every time. There was a lot of talk about Samoa Joe at the time so I accept that they go for him. Just find them raiding a little immersion breaking.

A Regal Journey: You have until Wrestlemania 2007 to book William Regal into a stable Main Event role, with him winning the title at said Mania.

Random Stable-ity: Put every well known and below wrestlers (women included) in a randomizer and have it pick 4. They now become a stable that must be pushed enough that their leader could be considered a valid choice for a main title run, while other members could win a midcard/tag title (or women title, if suitable). They don't actually have to win the titles if you have other plans, but you have to make an effort in making them a threat.

NXT Universe: If a company the size of OVW is available for sale in any region outside of the US/Canada, you must buy it (if you can afford to) and turn it into a developmental company that will bring you workers from that region. Whether you wanna book them or do the hirings for them is up to you, obviously, and if there is more than one, you only have to buy the one you like the most.

Have you visited Ohio ?: Unless they're already stars, any worker you sign must first go for 6 months in OVW or DSW.

The Second Golden Age of Managers: Let's bring back the good ol' time when people like Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Lou Albano, etc helped those workers who weren't that great with a microphone, but this time with the new generation of managers. You must have at all times three active managers (valets or bodyguards non-included).

Thank you very much. Any more you could add?

  4. How big is the penalty for having a Face v Face main event when Face/Heel divide is turned on? My original plan was just to follow Mania 14 main event and have Austin take title off HBK as only HBK is more popular than Austin in my current save, but HBK is selling too much merch so is refusing to turn. Thought I'd just go a "I need to know who's better" route but don't want to tank my ratings.
  5. When you're booking some of these storylines, do you split them up into separate storylines in game titled Part 1, Part 2 for instance or do you just have one storyline running for 6-12 months and add in different workers?

One thing I've struggled with is telling a 6-12 month story between two workers because they can't always be invovled with each other. Look at real life. Kane and Undertaker arguably had a storyline that ran for over ten years, but it wasn't a constant thing. They just kept coming back to each other periodically.

I would argue the best storyline I've told was Val Venis v Owen Hart on TEW 2016 on a 1998 mod. The two of them had a match at King of the Ring. Hart won. Venis cost him his title shot. The fought again and Venis won. They were then forced to team together and inadvertently became tag champions. Over time, they came to respect and like each other and gave themselves the name Breaking (Owen using the Sharpshooter) & Entering (Venis.... you know...) and were the top team for around 6 months. When they finally lost the titles and Owen started getting more singles success, Venis couldn't take it, cost Hart the WWF title opportunity again and the two were set to meet at Mania to settle the score. Owen once again came out victorious, but as he started to leave the ring, a tearful Venis grabbed him, shook his hand, hugged him and raised his hand in victory. They both returned to singles competition, teaming occasionally when needed. The success of this storyline made both main eventers.

  6. Perfect vs. Shamrock would probably work, just have Shamrock boasting he is a machine and cannot be stopped, and have Perfect come along and tell him to STFU, have them feud for the title back and forth....and Sid vs. Goldust would sell...Sid being grossed out by Goldusts' gimmick and fighting over Marlena or Luna, cant remember who was with whom at that time. You could then sprinkle in Owen, HHH, and Mankind into those storylines as support to get them more over for the main event.

Good suggestions, but already done Sid v Goldust for Marlena, and Shamrock and Perfect are both face at the moment, but I will be turning Perfect down the line when he ultimately loses the European to a young worker who is starting to get over.

Also, Owen, HHH and Mankind are already Major Stars in my company. My Major Stars are HBK, Taker, Austin, Bret, HHH, Mankind, Bulldog, Owen and Sid. The lowest pop in that group is Sid with 87. I'm using the IC belt as a secondary title for the lower Major Stars to give the rub to younger workers. Owen got over feuding with Austin for the IC belt and now The Rock is feuding with Austin for it, but with Rock still plagued by the note that gives poor form, I'm thinking HHH needs to hold it for a while, or maybe put it back on Bret on the way down.

  7. It's also perfectly normal to lose interest in something, especially if it, assuming it being Summerslam and a big show, had some endings to feuds.

I recently played a 2 and a half year game, one of my longest on a weekly schedule, and just ended a two year long world title reign, and just stopped playing. I don't think it's a coincidence that I lost interest in something that I created a natural end to.

Yeah, I had Austin and Bret fight at Mania 13 for the chance to challenge HBK in the main event. Double turn as it happened, and then Bret defeated HBK with help from the reformed Hart Foundation. So, since 13, HBK has feuded with Hart Foundation, with help from others intermittently, and culminated in HBK taking the title back from Bret at Summerslam. Now, with Owen getting over big in my save and Bret hitting time decline, I thought it was time to have the brothers feud up until 14 where Bret will pass the torch to Owen. I also have HBK not liking Austin getting so popular with the fans and WWF pushing all their ads and merchandising towards him, so he is slowly turning along with another disgruntled worker in HHH. Kane is about to debut. Faarooq legitimately got injured so Rock is taking control of Nation of Domination. All stuff I can work with.

The problem is my midcard is so weak, I have very little to work with between the marquee matches. I'm struggling to tell the stories because I'm struggling with the weekly content. I have tried getting my midcard over by involving them in the big HBK v Hart Foundation feud, but it seems like the only midcarders to do well from it are Owen, Hunter and Mankind. My midcard is basically Goldust, Shamrock, Sid and Mr. Perfect and I'm struggling to create content with them. Perfect is European champion and has a weekly open challenge to try and give lower workers the rub. The other three just feel stale.

  8. I start every save thinking this is the big one, the one that will go ten or more years, but the longest I've ever actually played is about six years, back in TEW 2016. Most games I struggle to get past two years. The problem is that the game isn't really built for long-term play. The longer a save goes, the more the game world becomes unviable. After a couple of years, there is so much money in the game that it's no longer a consideration. With WrestleWorld, it's also common that there can be as many as seven or eight companies in the US of medium size and above with not enough workers to go around. Plus, the lack of future workers in the game means you're relying on new-gens and re-gens and if you're unlucky, there aren't many decent new workers after a while.

This reads like the slow degradation of wrestling in America post-2001!

  9. TEW 2013. 2004 mod. TNA save that ran for 4 years. Was unemployed at the time though, so had nowhere near the time while employed to put in any significant time on this and every other game I want to play. Closest I've come is a 2 year save on 2016 with a 98 mod, but lost interest around 2000 as WCW dropped to cult and I was Global. However, currently at 9 months on a 97 mod so who knows what will happen.
