  1. I find the names of the perceived importance of a worker to be a bit misleading and wondered if it would be possible to edit those names slightly. I think Major Star, Star and Unimportant are fine, but "Recognisable" and "Well Known" are a bit awkward. I think they work on the worker screen when scouting for workers to hire, on a global scale, but within a company they don't work. In 2001, Billy Gunn isn't recognisable. He is a legend and everyone knows who he is so that title doesn't reflect his position within the company in terms of importance/overness etc.

It's not a massive thing by any means and only a minor suggestion, but thought I would share it anyway.

  2. You mention in the TNA storylines that Swinger and Diamond are going to turn face, yet set them to turn face and it says their last turn was recent. Might want to edit that if it can be edited. Also, Jerry Lynn as the most over worker in the company seems a bit of a stretch.

The Undertaker shouldn't be set to be on a hiatus when he's in a storyline. He should be available for WWE so he can be placed in angles.

  3. Should Brock Lesnar be given the Selfish Performer attribute, though? Drew McIntyre has gone on about how Brock helped him out in their feud, and now Kofi Kingston has come out about how that spot in the Rumble where everyone ganged up on him was Brock's idea.

Don't know if it's okay to link an article here, and mods can feel free to remove if necessary. But I think it's topical to the point here:

    https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2020/04/kofi-kingston-credits-brock-lesnar-for-putting-together-wwe-669826/

Massive misconception about Brock. He's not a yes man but he will do business with people willingly. He will put people over but he won't do it in the stupid ways WWE creative want him to. It's ironic. Austin left the company in 2002 because he wanted to put Brock over properly and not on Raw with no build and for no money. Brock is able to have that sort of power now because he is so good and doesn't need the job. I don't understand the Brock hate. He is the best in the world right now, IMO, and I'm no WWE fan.

  4. What is this debate?

In short, as it stands, products can't be edited in the database which some have argued takes away a lot of fun for them and a lot of freedom for mod makers. I'm not sure whether Adam is going to change anything because I have't actually seen him respond to the criticism. Everything is a bit hush-hush at the moment for some reason.

  5. I don't think Genadi has any plans to release any mods at this moment because of the product customisation debate. It would be a tremendous shame if he didn't but he has the right to not work with a product he doesn't agree with. Hopefully compromise can be reached before release or in a post-release patch.

Even though if they could have their version of fun, it wouldn't actually affect my ability to have my fun."<p> </p><p> People aren't asking for the presets to be changed for <em>everyone</em>, they're asking to be able to change them <em>themselves</em>.</p><p> </p><p> If this was an online game where a change would affect everyone, you'd have a leg to stand on.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You're welcome to your interpretation, mate, or you could read it as I intended it. If the customisation of products/presets cannot be integrated without fundamentally changing the game we have currently, it should not be implemented as it would ruin it for the majority. If it can be implemented without affecting the game, then I have no problem with it being implemented. It doesn't matter to me how people play. What matters is my enjoyment and I won't tacitly agree to sweeping fundamental changes to please the few who like to tamper with the settings. Like I say, if everyone can be satisfied at the end of this, everybody wins and we all get a pleasant, enjoyable experience.</p>

Two months doesn't really give ample time, like Historian said, to establish any sort of heat or build any sort of momentum. Additionally, the mods still aren't going to be in a place where they can properly utilise game mechanics because there hasn't been enough time. More patience is required from those of us who main RW mods, I'm afraid, but like I say, when the mod makers are able to get everything properly in place, I think the game and the mods will make for some brilliant gaming, so the wait is well worth it.</p>
  8. <p>Seems like a more organic pop growth is at play which is brilliant imo. Just had a test game with CWW and their pop is twelve and I got 39 and 42 in my two shows with no pop gain. Looking at it realistically, how quickly is a fed that draws 60 people to Peter Kay's Working Men's Club going to grow? I think a better gauge at this level would be attendance increase or decrease as surely word of mouth is the primary means of exposure for such a small company, by 'eck. I saw no pop gain after my first show, but more people attended my second.</p><p> </p><p>

True immersion would be the removal of pop ratings altogether with only ticket sales, tv ratings, event buys and merch sales the only way to track success or failure.</p>

One last thing I don't mean to be argumentative or rude but jean-vic what are you talking about? Wrestling has always been extremely diverse with major differences and always has the possibility to evolve a present new products, For example if I wanted to start a new wrestling promotion tommorow that only had people in mascot outfits wrestle in extremely technical matchups I could, now if it would be successful that is debatable, but lets say it is and attracts a a new niche audience for the product, then in that example we have a new wrestling product.

The potential to create anything is infinite, I agree, but what percentage of created products actually succeed? Wrestling fits a certain mould. Always has. Were there minor deviations within what we define as wrestling? Indeed. Compare the territories. However, historically, wrestling has been a relatively restrictive product in terms of what we can expect to see.

Now, I understand that there are people who enjoyed the customisation aspect of prior games. I get that. I don't fully understand the appeal, but then I like sims. I like realism and immersion. However, I do respect the rights of others to like what they like. However, this community has long been calling for greater immersion and greater realism and Adam has finally given us that. This game has been rebuilt from the ground up to meet the demands of the community. Sacrifices have to be made. To create a realistic, immersive simulation, some customisation needs to be removed, in my opinion. The terms of what constitutes wrestling need to be narrowed to truly reflect the realistic definition of wrestling. If this game works best by removing the customisation of one element, then that element needs to be removed. I'm sorry that you can't create a Japanese comedy fed where every wrestler is based on anime and every loser gets ejected from the arena in a cartoonish manner, but NJPW is the top dog in Japan for a reason. It's wrestling.

I'm loving what I've seen from this game so far. Dave Meltzer would give it five stars, but he still prefers Okada v Omega. I hope the community can come to love the game for what it is and find enjoyment in what we have been given and not get hung up on this one point. But, who knows, maybe Adam will put it back in.

  10. A 6 minute angle being considered too long for a WWE run is a ridiculous penalty for me.

Edit : Its apparently deeper than what I thought. So I guess tweaking isnt necessary. The game is just tougher which isnt a bad thing in all. Just going to be more time consuming to get used to things..

The game has been made more realistic and immersive from what I've been able to tell. I don't think it will be possible to play as WWE and automatically get great ratings in everything that is booked unless mod makers edit their database to make WWE outstandingly and unrealistically good. Properly made mods have the potential to be brilliant. Got a bit boring booking the Attitude Era and getting 85+ on every show guaranteed. I want it to be reflected that sometimes, even in that period, Raw and Nitro were terrible TV. I want to struggle against my opponents and not get a guaranteed win because Austin is red hot and the AI can't book for shit. I believe this game will finally be the one to get us as close as possible to the reality of wrestling which is why I am so concerned with the recent criticisms of the game. I sincerely hope Adam stays true to his vision for this game and doesn't backtrack due to an overly vocal minority.

  11. I might start manually raising my company pop when my show is over my current pop level even if it isn't enough to normally see growth. Why? Because it's fun to play a sandbox wrestling experience...

Where does the simulation/sandbox line get drawn? Can't have it both ways. I'd rather the game reflect the world, and the products available are and always have been narrow. It's wrestling. Not create a wrestler with every stat and physical proportion set to max. That's my humble opinion.

  12. What's with all the aggression and hostility? It's a trial/beta, not a chance to play for free. The point is to identify issues with the game so they can be resolved. Anything highlighted will be sorted, I'm sure. Adam could have put the game on hold for months for extensive testing. Hell, he didn't even have to make the game. Show a little gratitude, show a little humility and show some patience.

I've played one week and booked one show and the game seems so different that I don't feel I can give any sort of constructive criticism or praise at the moment. It all feels so overwhelming with all of the changes, but I'm excited by all of them. Just need to get out of the habit of looking for a worker's push :D

I will just say, I can understand why some are struggling with the UI, but I don't have a problem with it. The information I need is easily accessible and that's all that matters to me. However, I don't like how I have to move segments up and down the card. I preferred being able to select a segment and quickly move it. I wasn't paying attention before and ended up swapping two angles over and over again. Just a small thing. Oh, and I love that I can use road agent notes in angles. Much better system, in my opinion.

Looking forward to playing more tomorrow.
