  1. These look good. I'm requesting an Attitude Era skin, a Ruthless Aggression skin, a 1980s skin and a New Generation skin. Get to it!<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  2. Damn, this is awesome.

One thing I think could be looked at is WCW's main event scene. They have 8 Major Stars. I don't think The Giant was a Major Star. He was the champion at Hog Wild, but he was never really a major player for them in that way. Luger definitely should be just a Star. Nash and Hogan are kinda questionable too in my opinion, and Flair had lost a little steam at this point as well.

Nash and Hogan questionable as major stars??

  3. What region are you playing in and how many shows are you running?

Playing in Britain as CWW. Not touched their schedule so it's one show per month with the exception of July and August where they run a show each week for six weeks. I'm getting 130 people attending my shows and I'm making something like £1000 profit every month.

  4. Anyone else still finding it far too easy to make money in this game? I just don't struggle financially even playing as a Tiny fed in a region with falling economy and wrestling. Given that we live in a world wherein wrestling companies the size of WWE have to make cuts, I find it a hindrance to immersion that making money is so easy in this game.
  5. I am struggling with WWF. My top angles do well with HBK/Bret/Austin/Taker but my matches struggle and my undercard is not good. I changed my focus to put a higher importance on my best match and best angle but Im still stuck at getting 70-75 show and event ratings. Any suggestions? Is everyone else in the same range?

As WWF was in the midst of a rebuild around this time and losing weekly to WCW, the fact that WWF is losing is a good sign that the mod has been made well.

  6. This is probably a TEW 2020 problem and not a Risky Business problem, but I'm running with a converted 2016 Risky Business save and in 86 my popularity raised enough to go to "National" but lowered back down to "Cult" a few months later.

However, all of my wrestler's "statuses" are still being reflected by the international status, for example when I was "Cult" status Hogan was a Major Star, when I went National he became just a star, but now it's back at Cult he's still just a Star. The game is also making me lose popularity accordingly and giving me poor ratings for 70ish show ratings when before such a rating would raise my status...

No point reporting issues you're having with data you've converted yourself as the mod is unlikely to suffer the same issue as it will have been properly balanced before release.

  7. Been playing around with this Mod before diving into a proper save with it. Doesn't feel all that different to a 2016 mod but that's a good thing. The new personalty traits make it more interesting so far, especially having certain guys gaining new catchphrases or having groundswell of support. Jake Roberts having 'personal issues' is a tricky thing to navigate despite being very valuable as an older legend to put people over.

That being said I'm 2 weeks out from Wrestlemania 13 and HBK just went down with a 4 month injury. Nothing to do with the mod per say but man that really stinks up my WWF title match. Do I just strap the rocket to Austin a year early or have Taker vs Sid (Which tanked at IYH) and take the loss.

I think with historical mods especially these are the most frustrating, challenging but fun times.

If you have Austin in a feud with Bret, you have a three way for the belt with Austin getting the strap. If not, tournament decided at Mania with Austin coming out on top. Either way, strap that rocket to him.

  8. Not sure if it's been mentioned or if it's already been amended, but I was looking to hire some unemployed wrestlers last night and came across one Chinsuke Nakamura. Not sure if you were aware.

Looked around the mod last night and it is very detailed. Looking forward to diving in. I just wish I'd paid attention to wrestling in the past few years. I have barely any idea who anybody is, haha.

  9. Tremendously happy to hear that you will be modding for 2020. Just wouldn't be the same without a Genadi mod.

As for the PayPal: there are so many streamers out there getting paid handsomely to sit and play games for eight hours straight. I see nothing wrong with giving up some money to those who dedicate their time to labouring over mods. No offence intended towards Adam, but mods are the lifeblood of this game. He provides the skeleton, but the modders give it life. As soon as I'm back in paying work, I'll be more than happy to send a few of the Queen's English pounds over.

  10. It can't be replicated, at least in any way that I'm aware. There are a few weird and wonky situations like that that the game just doesn't replicate. I can't even force the Anthem takeover of TNA to happen, so TNA can't evolve quite as it has.

Speaking of TNA.... Ran a test sim into 2015. First one for a little bit, since some of the touring stuff has been changed around. AJPW and Noah are doing much better, money-wise. AAA is something of a monster.

A few random things I noticed when poking around....

-TNA is doing well. They always struggle for the first while but they seem to have recovered in this save. I'd like TNA to be fairly realistic in that they aren't absolutely certain to survive if they are run by the AI.

-Marty Scurll has become something of a star in the UK and for xWx

-WWE signed and made stars out of La Sombra (Andrade), Taya Valkyrie, and Ricochet. Styles is there too.

-TNA made stars out of Kimber Lee and Christina von Eerie. They are the #2 and #3 stars in the company.

-Strangest signing I saw.... Kota Ibushi signing on a Written deal with AAA.

Meh. It's not a big deal if it can't be replicated. I was just curious if it was possible.

Given TNA has survived, albeit under a different name and new ownership, I think it should be made so they are more than likely to survive although not definitely. Adds some variance if it isn't a definite, but it would be silly to curse them to fail.

Looking forward to this mod. Good time to play. Rebuild opportunities for TNA/ROH, excellent time to play as NXT and lots of potential to book WWE properly and not how Vince has been doing for the past 15 years :D

  11. Not sure anyone is going to have too much preference on this, one direction or another. But since I can't mod at the moment, I'll muse...

With broadcasters, I've gone for "game play" more than accuracy. What I mean is that I'm not going overly heavily in trying to be accurate with the range of each broadcaster, and instead going more for options and diversity. I'm also leaving out quite a few broadcasters that have not and will never broadcast wrestling.

The data doesn't have much yet in the way of internet based options, except the WWE network.

I'm leaning heavily toward making multiple versions of platforms like YouTube and Twitch that are limited in area. So instead of having YouTube as an Internet free-to-air option, I would have YouTube North America, YouTube Uk, etc. Obviously inaccurate but more realistic in terms of function. Sure companies around the globe can get a bit of widespread attention using YT or Twitch, but no one is gaining major popularity that way.

When it comes to company-owned platforms, only the WWE Network is currently in the data. Been debating what else to include and how. My concern with adding company-owned streaming platforms is that if they open when they actually did, the company might not be in a position to make use of it and that could sink them. So this will take some experimenting. I will probably add them but limit their range to their home area. So NJ World, BJW Core, etc, will be limited to Japan. It will be up to the company to expand. While its not fully accurate - I don't think most such service were geo-locked in their early days, they were definitely not intended to be user friendly abroad.

How do you replicate the Global Wrestling Network for Impact Wrestling? It isn't owned by Impact but their owners.

  12. Depends on mods, for me. The game itself, I believe, is a good game for people who like to book wrestling. However, this game lives and dies on real world mods. The Cornellverse does nothing for me. If the game isn't supported by good mods, it's a pointless purchase. As it stands, it would seem that the game isn't very mod friendly and that puts me off purchasing on day one, I'm sorry to say.
  13. Think you might need to edit the skills of a few workers. For example, Stacy Keibler being better in the ring than Molly Holly shouldn't be a thing. Also, WWE may need a new product. Tried to book a street fight only to be told that violent matches will offend the fans. WWE in 2004 was still regularly using violent, risky matches in its feuds.

That aside, loving the mod so far. Really impressed with it and really enjoying myself. There's just something about booking Eddie to win the Rumble because he has a groundswell of public support.
