  1. When you think of the first big wrestling event to change the landscape of the industry, what is it that comes to your mind? For many, one obvious name lingers in the forefront of your minds. Wrestlemania. In 1985, the WWF would make their statement on American culture by introducing Wrestlemania, the idea of what would come to be known as the Pay-Per View. The Big Event. The Grand Daddy of Them All. But one could argue...that perhaps Wrestlemania may not have come to be, if it were not already for Starrcade... Before there was Wrestlemania, there was Starrcade. 1983. A year that some tout to be the greatest year in wrestling history. Before everything got swallowed up, every company was making money, and the ruling body, the National Wrestling Alliance...had been THE name recognized with wrestling since the fifties. If you watched wrestling between the 1950s to the late 1970s and early 80's. Chances are, you were watching an NWA product...and the most recognized company within that Alliance, the most respected, the most talked about, the most notoriouswas The Mid-Atlantic. Ran by The Crockett family, The Mid-Atlantic is the company that nearly brought The NWA under one banner. Many fans and workers of the time would tell you. Mid Atlantic, or Jim Crockett Promotions, were the better product. They were more realistic, they were more athletic, they were serious, they were adult...they are your dad's kind of wrestling. Perhaps...if money was spent wiser, if finance decisions had been made less liberally...if better booking decision were mad.e If they never sold to Turner...the questions that make a Mid-Atlantic fan yearn for an alternate universe. This diary aims to try and simulate that alternate universe...by going back to 1983. The year of Starrcade, the year that everybody was succeeding...and anything could happen. We will follow the ethos of Mid Atlantic and NWA. Aiming to present wrestling as a serious sport. Titles, money, respect. Realistic storylines. Perhaps one day, uniting the alliance under one banner. And ensuring our dominance in the South can be established and maintained, maybe we beat the WWF, maybe we don't, or maybe Mid Atlantic, or JCP, whichever you prefer, become the company of the South and The WWF the company of the North. Maybe history will repeat itself, but this diary will tell a simple story. The Legacy Of Mid-Atlantic. Diary Goals 1. Emulate the Mid-Atlantic and NWA booking style as best as I can 2. Unite N.W.A under a single banner. 3. Compete with the WWF 4. Have fun.
  2. The Year is 1970, The Sport of Wrestling is, in the eyes of it's fans, still very much a sport and the aim of the industry is to present it in such a way. Outsiders are not allowed in the locker rooms, kayfabe is absolute gospel. Whatever you do, don't expose the business! The National Wrestling Alliance IS the symbol of professional wrestling in America, but that doesn't mean it's the only game in town and it certainly doesn't mean the throne it currently sits on is safe. Whilst promoters are shaking hands and sticking to their words to not encroach on each other's territory, they all have one goal in mind, becoming the most successful promotion within thesport. One such territory operates outside the confines of the Alliance and has been doing so since the sixties. Giving the NWA a good run for its money and showing itself able to operate outside the alliance whilst still keeping up good relations with them. The American Wrestling Association is arguably the most recognized wrestling promotion outside the alliance within the states and has great potential to be THE most recognized promotion full stop if its owner, promoter and champion, Verne Gagne can continue to build upon the foundations laid in the previous decades. Verne has been champion for a lengthy period of time and the roster is at a point where a new feud with the biggest baby face of the company could help bump it up to the next level. In order for that to happen, a talented heel must be able to establish themselves within the company, and prove to be a big draw in order to take the title from the cautious and stubborn Gagne. We begin at the beginning of January 1970. Within the game I have signed Gordon Solie as an announcer ready for the first show, and added a new face to the roster of the AWA who I hope will not only be able to repeat his history, but perhaps even surpass it:Nick Bockwinkel.

  9. So this will be a little side journal of mine, my main focus is the WWF 1993 Journal but I was in the mood to get a little side journal going in an effort to improve my presentation skills and to try booking something I have never booked before: WCW. I know it sounds silly, WCW is a go to for so many people but I don't know. I always struggled with it, regardless of the starting point. I never knew what style to go with, what storylines I wanted to emulate or revamp and just found myself in sort of a no man's land. So wanting to overcome that, I thought, provided a journal opportunity so. Here we go...

The Road To Wrestlemania is heating up! We've got exciting action in store for you as with weeks to go before Wrestlemania our Intercontinental Champion is in one on one action against Typhoon. The Intercontinental Champion is set to face off against Macho Man Randy Savage at Wrestlemania and WWF Management is currently considering whether or not to make it an official championship match.</p><p> </p><p> Randy Savage</p><p> Obviously if it was a championship match it would be greatly appreciated by myself, but just a chance to get in the ring with that punk is all I need Vince! I'll be watching him closely here tonight!</p><p> </p><p> Rob Bartlett</p><p> Well we also got an update coming from Mr. Perfect tonight. Seein' as Wrestlemania is on the way, he and Ric Flair are set for a rematch from the Royal Rumble and I hear Perfect has a proposition which will certainly kick things up a notch!</p><p> </p><p> Vince Mcmahon</p><p> The contender for the WWF title and his manager Mr. Fuji also have choice words for WWF Champion Bret Hart and tonight, in our Main Event, THE undertaker is set to face off against one half of The Headshrinkers, Samu. One has to wonder if Razor Ramon will respond to The Undertakler's surprise attack on him last week which saw him put inside a coffin! How he wanted me to question who I was. How he wanted me to feel, the same way HE felt. stripped of his pride, stripped of hisidentity...and stripped of his dignity. Mean Gene. I am a very proud man, but I will not hesitate to admit, for some time there? Ric Flair succeeded in what he wanted to achieve.</p><p> </p><p> Gene Okerlund</p><p> I realize it may be a touchy subject to expand on that and if you wish to leave it at that I understand but I feel as if I have to ask for the fans at home what you mean by that staement?</p><p> </p><p> Mr. Perfect</p><p> Ric Flair is partially right about a few things. My career? It hasn't been going the way I want it to lately. I've got the fans behind me now, and that means a lot, but in the ring, in terms of success, in terms of accolades...in terms of being able to carry the moniker of "Mr. Perfect"? I'll admit...Ric Flair had me questioning myself, especially after that night at the Royal Rumble...and I'll also admit for a couple weeks there that Flair had me hesitant, Flair had me where he wanted me and for one moment, just one moment there Flair, you managed to have me asking that dreaded question...just who exactly am I?</p><p> </p><p> Gene Okerlund</p><p> If I may say so, I think I speak for the WWF fans when I say we all know exactly who you are and what you have done in this company and that's why through everything you've done these fans now stand behind you the way they do...</p><p> </p><p> Mr. Perfect</p><p> Gene that's appreciated, but Flair's right, you can have everyone in the world telling you who you are...but you really need to know yourself to be able to continue in this industry with confidence. Which is why Wrestlemania is so important for me. Once that match was confirmed by WWF Management? I knew this was more than just the grudge match we had at the Rumble. This is more than just a rematch between two wrestlers. This is a fight for our identities! This is a fight for our dignity and Mean Gene...it's a fight to show not just everyone who'll be in attendence there that night, and not just to show the people watching at home, but to show OURSELVES just exactly who we are...which is why I suggest a little poetic justice for Ric Flair here tonight!</p><p> </p><p> Gene Okerlund </p><p> What do you mean by that?</p><p> </p><p> Mr. Perfect</p><p> What I mean, Gene...is that I'm posing a challenge to Ric Flair regarding our match. He wants to make this about identity? He wants to make this personal? He wants to remove my dignity for him! Then I'll give him the PERFECT chance to do it...what I suggest to YOU Ric Flair...is a Hair VS. Hair match! Whoever loses must have their head SHAVED ENTIRELY after the match and I think we all know the man who is just capable of doing it and will volunteer his services to snip away! I'm talking Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake Ric. To make sure neither of us are able to worm our way out of it. Somebody's going to have their identity stripped from them at Wrestlemania Ric..and I promise you. I guarantee you...this time? It won't be me...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rated:70</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>The Clock Is Ticking...</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="ymQqwZq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ymQqwZq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bzaNPmP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bzaNPmP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Mr.Fuji</p><p> Tick tock, Hitman...tick...tock. BUT YOUR BRAVERY WILL PROVE TO FOOLISH IN THE END! Everything that my Yokozuna has done, every body he has broken, every star that he has squashed, EVERY LEGEND THAT HE HAS DESTROYED...has led to Wrestlemania...and you? The match was one of the highlights of the evening and certainly was different to the usual Yokozuna bout that WWF fans have come to expect. It was, for a matter of fact, competitive. Owen Hart displayed the fight and the tenacity of an underdog, showcasing some of his more acrobatic skills, using his ability to jump, spin and leap around the ring to his advantage against a much alrger and heavier opponent. One particular spot which stood out was when Owen managed to jump up onto Yokozuna's back as Yoko charged at him and tried to headbutt him, Owen then backflipped off of him and hit him with a beautiful, prestine dropkick. The match however, did end as WWF fans expected it would, though much respect is deserved for Owen's efforts. Yoko would pick up the win after a devestating leg drop which took Owen out of the match for the pinfall.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rated:68</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Hulkamania Under Fire...</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="vQORZpI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vQORZpI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vppOhaY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vppOhaY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Gene Okerlund</p><p> Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to introduce to you a man who is most certainly a cornerstone of this industry and a man who I am unafraid to admit, I consider a friend of mine. IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK BROTHER! AND IT'S AN HONOR TO ONCE AGAIN BE STANDING BACKSTAGE HERE WITH YOU, LIKE OLD TIMES DUDE!</p><p> </p><p> Gene Okerlund</p><p> Now if we may get down to business, last week a welcome back party was organized for you by Macho Man Randy Savage after you made your illustrious return to help him in his fight against Shawn Michaels, a party which was interrupted by the arrival of Lex Luger who was accompanied by a long time enemy of yours. None other, than Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Your thoughts right now on this situation?</p><p> </p><p> Hulk Hogan</p><p> Well Gene...I shoulda known it wouldn't have taken that weasel Heenan long before he wormed his way back into my life! He's been a monkey on my back as far as I can remember dude! Ever since Hulkamania was first firing up...Bobby Heenan's been there tying to put out those flames of excitement! With every step of success I took as Iclimbed up the mountain...Bobby Heenan was there to try and push the Hulkster back down and now? Now that Hulkamania's makin' a comeback? A revival tour? Once again, Bobby Heenan has found a way to once again put Hulkamania under fire brother. He's wormed his way into the head of yet another wrestler, brainwashed another talented dude by the name of Lex Luger...and convinced him that the quickest way to the top is doing what so many Heenan family members have failed to do...topple Hulk Hogan, destroy Hulkamania and etch his name into the history books for the rest of time!</p><p> </p><p> Gene Okerlund</p><p> Lex Luger hasn't exactly been a fan favorite of the WWF fans and some even consider him as an attempted replacement for yourself. Surely it doesn't come a shock to you that Luger has found himself under the whims of Bobby Heenan?</p><p> </p><p> Hulk Hogan</p><p> Does it shock me? Not one bit Mean Gene, Heenan's good at getting into people's heads and no, maybe Lex Luger isn't no fan favorite, but he's a strong guy, he's a jacked dude, he's a talented kid and he JUST MIGHT BE THE ONE...to pose a threat to Hulkamania and Bobby Heenan KNEW that! What saddens me and what disappoints me, is that Lex could have came and laid down the challenge man to man, with honor and with decency and I wouldn't have given a moment of hesitation about it! I'd have signed the dotted line! Agreed to whatever match he wanted and fought with all my might to make sure Hulkamania carries on another day! But with Bobby Heenan by his side? Hulkamania is under fire dude! Once you align yourself with the likes of that weasel?! There's no low you'll stoop to, in order to get the job done! Well Lex...I'm talking to you, if you have even the slightest bit of honor, you'll meet me next week, and shake my hands as we agree on a time and a place for that match you so clearly want brother!? Shawn entered as usual far too confident and sure of himself, that when he was met with the impressive power and strength of Typhoon he quickly had to change strategy. Trying, ijnstead of using the match as a way to showboat and show off like he usually did, he now tried to evade and work around Typhoon, wearing him down with repeated running offence, diving attacks and multiple journeys to the outside of the ring. One particular highlight of the night was when Shawn found himself scoop slammed outside on the hard concrete outside the ring by Typhoon, followed by a hard splash. Eventually and ultimately however, Shawn managed to pick up the win. Hitting Typhoon with a diving crossbody that picked up a flash pinfall for the win.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rated:74</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>After The Match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0YD3jvm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0YD3jvm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="m5ok6t5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/m5ok6t5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After the match Shawn makes his way ringside and heads directly towards Randy Savage at commentary. Shawn hesitates for a moment, as Randy stands tall, waiting for Shawn to make a move. Shawn takes a dirty cheap shot, spitting at Randy's face. Randy leaps over the commentary table and begins to give chase to Shawn around the ring.Shawn lures Randy into the ring and tries to surprise him with a flurry of kicks and blows once Randy climbs in after him. Savage shakes them off though, the adrenaline and the rage within him fuelling him and the two begin brawling back and forth with one another to the joy of the fans. </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="xhqh5pb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xhqh5pb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Sherri comes charging in with the IC title from behind, lcocking Randy Savage in the back of the head with it and sending him tumbling to the floor. It is arguably a unique showing for The Undertaker. In what is usually a slow paced, hard hitting affair, instead is one which is much faster and actually gave Taker a chance to showcase more of his impressive wrestling skill, showcasing moments for Taker which were actually quite surprisingly technical as he had to adapt in order to be able to deal with Samu's athleticism and agaility. Taker would however, despite Samu's impressive showing be abel to pick up the win, after a hard hitting big boot straight to Samu's face once Samu was trying to make a running attack at the Deadman. Undertaker than hoisted Samu back to his feet, up into the air, then drove him straight back into the mat with a chokeslam to pick up the win.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rated: 75</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>After The Match</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="BuFZsfC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BuFZsfC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ml6t3h5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ml6t3h5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> After the match Razor Ramon comes rushing from outside the audience, with a steel chair in hand. He wants to get revenge on Taker after last week and belts the deadman across the back with a chair. Undertaker is knocked to his knees but not down to the mat, and slowly gets back up. Ramon smacks him again across the back, again, Taker is brought to his knees but gets back up. Ramon then unleashes, he hits Taker again, bringing the deadman to his knees, the with a mighty swing he strikes Taker again right acorss the back of the head, knocking him to the floor this time and to ensure that Undertaker stays down, he takes another shot, then another, and finally a third with the steel chair before having to throw it away, dented and destroyed. He poses above the Undertaker confidently as Raw fades to black...</p><p> <strong>Rated: 72</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> <strong>Final Rating:77</strong></p>
  12. So there is an amazing community of creators on the WWE Games Reddit, many of them create logos, belt renders, things of such nature. I give all credit to these belt renders to u/HexHellFire Designs on reddit who seems to be the main source of these renders that have become shareware for the WWE Gaming community, if there are other users who need creditation I'll happily provide it as all I did was download the PNG's provided via the community sharing them, resize them and add them into my game. These are mainly old school belts, perfect for any eighties or possibly nineties database. Here's a glimpse of what I did with some of the renders, trying to emulate what nGogenerations did with their real life belt pics. 18. WWF NEWS WRITER'S NOTE: NO PPV THIS MONTH SO I THOUGHT WHY NOT WRITE ONE OF THESE UP NOW?. THERE WAS THE OPTION OF DOING A WINTER TOUR BUT I DECIDED AGAINST IT, FOCUS ON ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA THEN START INTRODUCING MONTHLY PPV'S AFTER MANIA AS WWF STARTS CHANGING DIRECTION. I ALSO HAD A CHANGE OF HEART AND DECIDED TO DO THESE MORE OFTEN FOR KAYFABE REASONS AND IT'S JUST A NICE BREAK FROM WRITING RAW NOW AND THEN. WHAT IS "THE NEW GENERATION" GOING TO LOOK LIKE? WWF have been making a lot of moves lately behind the scenes in terms of talent and in terms of management and in this latest report our inside sources can help us provide to you. Rumblings are that WWF is preparing for a major product change that will see the WWF attempt to produce something "bold, brave and creative." Some of our sources even say that WWF management have ADMITTED that "This could end up failing, but we won't know if we don't try". The decision to change the way the product is presented has been slowly being shaped since the first edition of Monday Night Raw. the struggle to maintain the audience the WWF has already established from it's long standing popularity of the eighties has served as somewhat of a wake up call. WWF management want to get out ahead of this while they can and are willing to make the investments, the changes and the risks needed in order to alter the product and hope it leads to continued success for the company. "The ratings haven't been all too bad, but they aren't what the company sees as a good sign for the future." Our man on the inside, who wishes to remain anonymous leaked to us. "The writing seems to be on the wall that the product as is, cannot continue to succeed the way it did in the previous decade. They want to invest in a new product that they admit, could end up backfiring if fans do not react well. But hope the bold move will pay off in the future." So what will this new product look like. "They really want to push The New Generation as just that. A whole new generation for the WWF. Something completely different from what we recognized from the eighties." Said our anonymous tipster. "From the discussions I've been a part of? From what I've heard? This is a nine month project to realistically achieve and if that is successful, will be the first time any wrestling company has ever done anything like this to my memory. It's risky. That's all I can tell you." The New Generation is becoming more than just a motto for the WWF. It's becoming a literal way of operating their business. If our man on the inside's leaks are true. Than over the course of the next nine months, we should start seeing the talent, the management and the changes being put in place that will shape the WWF into what ever they plan their New Generation to be. JACK TUNNEY TO RETIRE AFTER WRESTLEMANIA WWF President Jack Tunney has announced his intention to retire from his position after Wrestlemania IX. The WWF President has served as the figure head for the company for over six years now. Helping create memorable matches such as the classic Champion VS. Champion match at Wrestlemania VI. Many will remember Tunney as the man who ran the show through a good chunk of the eighties. However, as Tunney himself told reporters when announcing his decision. "It's a new era for the WWF. Times are changing. I feel it only appropriate to allow room for a new face, with big ideas for the company to step in and take the reigns after Wrestlemania is done, to continue the good work we did in the eighties and to take the WWF in directions that I could not during my tenure here as President." When asked what led him to this decision Jack simply stated "Time. It's been a good run. The company saw great success and I was honored to be the President of the company during that success. However, it's clear to me, as it is with many fans. That our product needs to remold itself for the new decade. I had my chance. I did the best I could with it. Time for someone else to have theirs." It has been set in writing that Tunney will remain in power as the WWF President until the Monday Night Raw AFTER Wrestlemania. WWF Management only feels that it is right that Tunney announce the new President himself on the post mania edition of Raw and are hoping to signal it as "The beginning of a new era" for the WWF. "I have been given the honor and the privelege to work for this company for many years and I'm grateful that I'll get tolead this company to one more Wrestlemania before I step down and announce the new President." In regards to who has been shortlisted to replace Tunney for the role. Tunney had this to say/. " We are already in discussions with the new figure slated to take over as WWF President. They have ideas that might shake up the company and already have some names for talent that could possibly make their way onto regular WWF programming in the near future. Their creative mind is greatly sought after during what has been a trying time for us entering this new decade and we hope putting our stock in them will be a wise investment in the long run." SIGNINGS AND RELEASES The Berzerker has been released by the WWF. He is the first of what the WWF management says "a list of names we were considering letting go." The reasoning for the release of The Berzerker is simple. WWF has decided to invest their money and time into changing their product. "We admit that we made decisions that have turned out to be against our favor in the way we present talent." A spokesman for the talent relations in WWF stated. " It's not the talents fault. It's ours. With the characters we have had them portray. With creative decisions we have made. There will be other talent we let go, and it's nothing personal. It's nothing against them. We feel as if, they need a chance to go somewhere else, redesign and rediscover themselves and who knows? Maybe they can come back to us once time has passed and be presented in a more legitimate fashion." There are worries in the WWF locker room following these statements as the family friendly product the company has presented led to a roster full of characters who the WWF Talent relations now admit "We wrote ourselves into a corner with these characters. It's a failing on our part for all of them and their careers. We will adhere to all of their contracts, make sure they get paid. Give them TV time where we can and if we can repackage some of them? Great, but in the long run? We think what will be best for a lot of these guys is getting a chance to find themselves and discuss future opportunities when our product is what we want it to be." We can also confirm that the WWF has been splashing the cash out over the previous weeks for picking up talent. Unfortunately our inside leaks aren't willing to share that information. Either because it's not in ink yet. Or they fear if they leak this information to us, it will expose their positions in the company. Here's what we can tell you about the talent that has been signed. As of right now, five women have been signed for the WWF Women's division project. These women have been appearing in dark matches on pre shows since the Royal Rumble. Initial reactions by the crowd have been tame but the WWF expected that, which is why the dark matches are where these women are honing their craft. Apparently the goal is to have a viable women's division be able to be presented to the WWF audience by King of The Ring at the very latest. If the WWF feels it can present these women beforehand, they will take that move but are taking caution simply because they are still easing their audience into seeing women's wrestling again. In terms of the male side of things. Outside of what we already saw in Ken Shamrock, we can confirm at least SIX other male competitors have been signed to the WWF roster, all of them currently in creative discussions to decide their characters, gimmicks, intention on being used, possible managers and of course, their important debuts. It should be important to note the following about the new talent that has been signed. Out of ALL the new talent that has been signed, both male and female. The oldest signed to the roster is 34. Which means this is a further investment in the youth movement that WWF has been making anyway. It's also important to note that these signings have all been made under the assistance and consulting from the man who is going to be the NEW WWF President. So even though he might not be the one signing the contracts. He is already in a position where he is influencing the look and style of the roster. The final thing to note, is that each person signed so far has been done so with the goal of "legitimacy." in mind. The aim being to give the fans as exciting of an in ring product as possible while still maintaining their craft for storytelling and entertainment. MEXICO AND JAPAN One strange bit of news to report regarding potential talent signings going forward. While none of our inside sources can confirm any foreign talent have been signed or have even stepped foot inside of a WWF office. There have been murmurs from the foreign wrestling worlds of WWF calling up talent scouts, talking to connections in both Mexico and Japan and enquiring about tapes and possibly even sending "diplomats" to begin negotiation processes. These talks first began with Ken Shamrock. While Shamrock himself is not a native to either Japan or Mexico. He had been doing some work up in Japan that caught the WWF's attention and he is not the only one. Their curiosity in Ken Shamrock apparently led them to broaden their horizons even further and WWF are, although not making any official offers just yet, in serious talks with multiple Japanese AND Mexican talent. How WWF plans to incorporate these radically different styles if they were to go ahead with this is beyond me folks, but would I be interested in a WWF product that tried to do it? You're god damned right I would!
