  1. Then isn't that all they have to produce to keep Spike happy? Okay sure, they could just throw on a viacom owned movie on there and get the same rating, but if you believe in the Turner philoshpy, content is worth more then advertising. TNA is also shown on Spike TV's website, for those of you who don't know, doesn't that mean any money they made from the extra internet traffic is pure profit? Not to mention, I remember a while ago someone said that TNA wasn't cheap programing for Spike. I'm confused by this, cause I know back in the heyday wrestling got on TV because it was cheap content, it's part of how Turner built his TV stations no? It really seems like TNA is in a psuedo WCW spot right now where the only way it can die is Spike canceling their TV contract of Panda Energy saying "Screw this noise". We also don't know a damn thing about how the carters feel about wrestling, for all we know they may be like Turner, wanting their own wrestling promotion and never caring if it ever makes a dollar. Hell TNA is just starting to break even now, no?
  2. I'm from the train of thought that any wrestler that is halfway decent (and by that I mean, is trained and can do moves without anybody getting injured), that is willing to do whatever the writer wants can become a maineventer on writing alone. Of course, I also say theres no such thing as bad gimmicks just bad writing. In theory what makes 1990's Zombie Taker a better gimmick then Repoman? Both were overly gimmicky. One was just written better.
  3. I'm more curious to see the ratings of any other television show Spike has put in that time slot in the past. Really thats the only true thing TNA has to beat for the mean time (and by that I mean, December they should be back in the 1.0s)

Okay I hated Bubba on there as much as the rest of you, but if they wasted the time bringing him in they should of done something with him before firing. 11. <p>Forgot about Sheamus just having a title. Christ is every young buck going to get the title for credibility?</p><p> </p><p> It's bad enough we've got two main event titles, we don't need them more watered down then they already are.</p>

They brawled a bit in the triple threat at Wrestlemania, but they didn't specifically break up. I hope they stay together. Dibiase strikes me as the Robert Roode of the WWE. Solid wrestler, but so bland he needs a tag partner to give him some personality. Cody has more personallity, but seems awkward in the ring and is about as menacing as a ham sandwich. Together, they cover each other's flaws. Alone... I don't know. I don't see the appeal.<p> </p><p> I don't like Jack Swagger. I don't know why. He's got that amateur background which is nice. He just seems like a low-rent Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar to me, lacking the elements that made them special. Like 90% of the WWE guys, he needs to find that 'hook' that makes him unique.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Agree about Swagger. He's to big to be like Angle but lacks the huge massive power of brock lesnar so he just ends up looking awkward to me like his body can't decide weather it wants to be a giant or not.</p><p> </p><p> The All American... American gimmick would work better in a geeky kind of way like the way Kurt was when he first debuted.</p>
  13. I only ever saw him botch that hammer that killed Steven Richards. Beyond that, *shrug* Maybe I am living in an alternate world, because I clearly remember him getting heat and his Full Nelson getting over as unbeatable... and then he was fed to Cena and kind of fizzled out after that.
  14. Really says a lot about myself with the wrestlers I liked when I was 11ish. Rikishi, Kane, The Rock, Jericho, Raven, Big Show, Mankind It's a mismash of guys that were the charismatic stars and the freaks and huge monsters. I remember being the only kid cheering in the Nassau coliseum for Heel Rikishi to kick Stone Cold's rear. Oh man... How I wasn't an Austin fan back then. I DID IT FOR THE ROCK! HELL YEAH!
  15. Hey lets just be happy they're getting out of the habit of putting the breaks during the mainevent.
  16. Watching Wrestlemania 2000... Christ such a better mania then the one I purchased two nights ago (though bare in mind, this was my childhood year so theres a fair bit of nostalgic love here). I'm watching Kurt Angle vs Jericho vs Benoit right now.... 1. Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle are two of my top favorite wrestlers of all time. Talent on loan from God and oozing with charisma. 2. Whenever I see Benoit now, it's creepy. I can appreciate his talent, his hard work and his passion, but just seeing stuff like his entrance video is just well... Unsettling, almost as if it was foreshadowing the future. Obviously, I know thats not true, still gives me the heebie jeebies. 3. Would anyone ever pay to see Too Cool ever again? To this day it saddens me we never saw them re-form. Probably my favorite tag team of all time. 4. This is the last we'd see of Big Show when he was in top-shape. *Le Sigh* Masters was decent by WWE standards and was getting fairly over up until he was fired. Don't know why the E brought him back, they've wasted what value he could of been. Yeah okay, he was fairly green and broke Stevie's nose but of all the guys the E has pushed he was well far from unbearable.
  17. Truth. TNA choose a horrible time to start their fight on monday night. Why is gods name did you choose Wrestlemania? unless their banking on taking the hit before hand so if/when ratings increase, even if it's only back to a 1.0 they can say they went up. Ah well hell with it, if this company is going to die I'll at least enjoy it while its here.
  18. Theres a storyline here, what was Orlando doing up in Sting's rafters huh? OMG SUDDENLY THE HEEL TURN MAKES SENSE! STINGER'S SWINGING HIS BAT FOR THE OTHER TEAM!
  19. Did anyone else find it kind of dis-respectful that he lowered from the rafters on a towel tied to two cords? Kinda brought back memories of Owen Hart and ticked me off kind of.
  20. Yeah... okay... maybe if he came back rocking the rag on his head and the baggy pants, but he's got this Taka Michinoku look going on and well... hell... it didn't work for TAKA in 1996 it's not going to work now.
  21. Ok. Would it have killed them (Nastys/Bookers) to job to say, the MCMG on their way out the door? I mean christ, you already spent time bringing them in and building them up. Waste of dollars to bring in guys for 2 months
  22. I gotta start watching Smackdown, the only people I care about in WWE is CM Punk and Chris Jericho. Everyone else is painfully boring to watch except for here and there I something looks cool, like orton punting people dead. How long has Cena been a main event face? I swear this whole move back to PG programing is just a ploy so that Cena's turn can usher in Attitude Mach 2. And if it's not, it should be.
  23. another good show. it was a rough start but I think they finally found their happy medium. I'm liking the talent being spread around every week so we don't see the same people over and over. In the long run, it's going to increase everyone's on-screen shelf life.
  24. ....Christ it was just as lackluster as Wrestlemania 25, only this time Taker/HBK didn't steal the show (even though it was the only match I remotely got into emotionally) the MITB was blown spot after blown spot and one of the logical two winners didn't win.
  25. Hey, if it works steal it. Vince stole attitude from ECW anyways, and that worked out. Bischoff stole nWo from New Japan *shrug*
