  1. Ignorance is NOT bliss, sir. People should be encouraged to debate. If that debate leads to one-sided personal attacks that side should be encourage to make an butt out of themselves, so as to discredit them from continuing onward in said debate.
  2. Gah but I just don't think a win over Katie would elevate any knock out. And in general, I don't want to see every WWE send off in TNA. Their roster is stacked as it is, and even though the women's division is tiny there still are like 2-3 girls that haven't been established. I can understand Mickie coming in, because she has name value, a great look, and talent. I can't reason Katie Lea coming in and essientially have to make a whole brand new character out of her (Did she even have one after they dropped the incest gimmick?)
  3. ...And people that use/use any variation of the philosophy of "Opinions are like *******s" line. Wasn't clever or intelligent then, now, or ever.
  4. 1. That is both sad and awesome at the same time. 2. Micky's not burned out until she states herself as much. 3. Whoever you could raid from Shimmer would probably be just as talented and fresh, and would work cheaper.
  5. generally I agree with you. However I'd leave it more to a 75% chance there is no God vs 25% chance that there is... and more importantly that each of us individually won't know for sure till we die. My general opinion formed onced I realized all religion was basically telling me some far out story and then going "It makes sense right? C'mon! Come onnnnnnnnn!" and I'd like to think the all powerful man in the sky's argument would be stronger then that if real. That all being said, I'm disappointing in Comedy Central for giving in. Really makes me wish we had a real world version of Frank Castle to smoke these mofo's.
  6. I'm sure you raid Shimmer and find a woman with jsut as much experince too, and they'd work cheaper. Burke still did a hell of a lot more and showed a lot more potential. I'd like to know where your pulling the "he only won 20 matches" statistic from cause I seriously doubt you commit it to memory. Gun to your head, choice between Signing Mickie and signing Katie who you going to choose?
  7. Me:'Ello Brick Wall! Brick Wall: 'Ello TDF! Me: Mighty fine day we havin'! May I join you for tea and biscuit? Brick: Why you certainly may TDF, you certainly may! *Canned Clapping* <.< and that concludes Masterpiece Sarcasm Theater. My point is, she accomplished nothing on a national scale. I don't see what she could bring to TNA that any other talented Jane Doe from the indy scene could do. Obviously Mickie is the more valuable of the two, I don't know what there is really to debate about.
  8. Yes that's true, and not a day goes by I don't wish that companies in general didn't take advantage were fair, if only because it would've been the best for everyone but alas. Unions could remedy the situation, as I said, by merely making it possible to dissolve the union but alas they found a way into my pocket book and don't seem to want to stop any time soon. I should note, I'm negative about unions in general and have particular fustrations with my own. I'm sure there has to be some union out there that isn't out to villify the very company their employees work for and only want whats fair and not a penny more but I don't think that's the norm.
  9. Random Chris Benoit memory... Was clicking around Wiki, and re-read his article and I thought of the last time I saw him on TV before the incident. ECW, he beats Elijah Burke to advance in the tournament. Rolls out of the ring, not with any great passion like a "winner" should but he moves in a more exhausted motion. He goes up to the podium, where the vacant ECW title lay on a red velvet pillow. And Chris, he takes his hand and lightly drapes it across the title. At the time I thought it was odd, it just seemed very... Out of character. It didn't seem at all like the title mattered to him, and obiously we know it didn't. When I think back to it now, and I'm shocked how clearly I do recall it, it seems almost to me like it was the last bit of Benoit giving up hope. At Wrestlemania 20 he had been a maineventer, along with his best friend. Now he was working the C-Show with a bunch of no-names, his best friend dead and worse exploited post-mortem. I think of that memory, and I think Chris Benoit died with the hand brushing softly over the title belt. It's a heart breaking memory. Sorry about that, didn't mean to drench up bad stuff, but that memory has been sitting in my head for a while and decided I needed to share it with someone.
  10. The union can be voted to be instantly created, but once created can not be destroyed. Not even by the very union it's self. Absolute power corrupts Absolutely. Like someone else said, they've long since outlived their usefulness and are a burden on industry.
  11. Your right, it wasn't like Pope was the focus of the ECW Brand as a major heel for a while... Leading a stable of the New Breed against the beloved ECW Orignals at wrestlemania. All the while showing off great ability and charisma. Meanwhile Katie Lea, GOD DAMN! SHE ACCOMPANIED PAUL BURCHIL TO THE RING! SIGN HER! SIGN HER!
  12. Wouldn't sign Katie. She didn't accomplish anything in the WWE and the K.O. and TNA roster in general is bloated with guys to "prove themselves" there is an opening on the KO roster for one person after the absence of Kong, and it should go to Mickie because she'd be the smarter choice. I wouldn't even touch Benjamin or Paul Burchil, I fail to see what benefit they would bring. The roster has talent, and has name value. They'd be better pickings for a company like ROH.
  13. Well the idea is if your a Captain Of Industry at some point you'd want to expand your enterprise. However if the person on top is a selfish unambitious dick I can agree it wouldn't work. *sigh* capitalism is a great thing, except when the people in power are greedy... It's them schmucks that we have dreaded things like unions bleeh. Parasites on society.
  14. I'm fairly certain you are not suppose to survive on minimum wage, I believe that's set for the extreme minimum you need to survive (food and the like) What you mean is a LIVING WAGE, and here in new york thats 10-15 dollars which not by coincidence is my current mark that I'm willing to sell my pride for, as it's the next income bracket for me to penetrate. Should be noted the LIVING WAGE is the bare minimum you need to live on your own, meaning it's all extremely crappy. An american government institution? No. Human beings in general? Yes. It's not about the job. The only reason their asking me if everything is all right isn't for the overall benefit of my meal, it's to assure themselves they did their job right and that I pay them. I hate them for disguising under the false pretense that they actually care about weather I'm enjoying myself personally. They don't look at me and see a human being, they see their next 5 dollars... And you know, that's okay with me provided you'll own up to it. To lie about that is... Well it's sad. Prehaps your right it is a little mean, I'll make sure when I do it they'll get an extra tip either way they answer.
  15. Do teaching children really suck as much as it sounds? I mean what do you do more of? Disciplinary or Teaching? I want to teach college-level if only so I can say "If you don't like it, there's the door."
  16. Yes my feelings on pride is warped. A lot of my feelings on subjects I've been told is warped. Someone mentioned earlier about people wanting to raise the minimum wage, I agree... However it still needs to stay congruent to the cost of living. Others people will turn to crime instead on an honest days work. I make just above minimum wage, and I feel that it's accurate to the difficulty of my actual job. It's easy, not the least bit stressful, I'm good at it. I don't kid myself for one minute thinking it's something more then what it is, a pissant cashier job at a grocery store. I can be replaced with U-Scan machines! There is no self-respect to be found working there! Still you'd be shocked at the 40 year olds, who aren't managers, that act like we're working in the higher levels of a corporate office. Just wanna shake these people and yell "PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR FREAKING SORROUNDINGS!" I suppose that's ultimately what grinds my gears the most, people that lie about themselves so much that they drink their own kool-aid. If they have to, why am I paying the make up the faults in their life that lead them there? No one cares about anyone elses sob story, fact of life. Least of all people with sob stories that knows that no one cares. If they want to, then congrats, your working a bad job. Once again not really my problem, your tip isn't entitled it's earned. Instead of putting it on society, do what any other schmucks do and freaking unionize. I use to be the Jerk who never tipped, then I grew up. Now I feel it's up to me, since I'm paying I'm now your boss. Do adequate job? You'll get your 15%. Go beyond? throw you a few more bucks. Hell I'll even tip a dollar to poor service if it's a place I frequent regularly out of being a regular patron. If it's a place I rarely go? Your poor service isn't getting squat. ...you know what else? When waitress comes by to ask me how everything is, and I have to pause my eating to say "delicious thank you!" obviously I'm mowing down the burger I'm doing okay. If I did have a problem I'd speak up when you came to refill my drink. Yes your trying to be courteous, but I know your only doing it because you care about the tip not because you actually give a damn. hmmm... I should ask that the next time a waitress asks me that. If I feel she's honest, I'll throw her an extra dollar.
  17. It wasn't great but got to see RVD/Sabu ladder match. Heel Heyman. Big Show I felt made the perfect heel then. CM Punk's rise. Hardcore Holly/RVD matches. Test for a while was doing something interesting. The Kevin Thorne gimmick that would of really caught on with Twilight being right around the corner.
  18. ... I really don't know what to say. That was smart of TNA to do it, all around. The money they would of made in terms of buys would of been pennies compared to the help it would do them to pull the trigger on it tonight and increase their fanbase... And of course house shows are where they make their cash, at least thats what I've heard Double J say.
  19. Even though, ya know, there was that whole year where he managed to get WCW in the black. Cause ya know, being the only guy to get that perpetual money loser to turn a profit... and didn't Heyman fail in terms of being a business man?
  20. and am I the only one who feels WWECW wasn't that bad under heyman?
  21. Heard Vinny Ru is taking a break cause he's burned out, and no longer wants to head creative when he comes back. Smartest move in the world imo, he shouldn't be head of creative but he's definitely a great ideas man. While Heyman is the ideal choice, don't get me wrong, it actually makes me wonder about who else if not Russo could take that spot? Eric's a business man and not creative. Raven maybe? It annoys me that when we all call out for someone to save the booking we all turn to Heyman. Paul E. isn't always going to be there to save us.
  22. ... Hello sir, I see you must have just crawled out of a rock and still have cotton in your ears... No no it's okay, I'll sit and wait for you to find the point of my argument that you completely missed. And that is true. My pride does have a price, but it isn't 8 dollars an hour. My pride is worth at least 10-15 dollars.
  23. I don't think theres any knockout on the roster that's particularly ugly, but everyone floats their own boat. I'd still choose the show with the better developed characters.
