I did that with the UK recently and added only the 200 most popular first and last names for each of the parts of the United Kingdom. I'm enjoying having only the most commonly found names for the British fighters.<p> </p><p> I'm planning on doing it for every country in my mod eventually.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> There is no Canadian tag in the name editor, its listed as North America, yet according to Adam's post above, names tagged North America will only apply to the USA, cos Canadian will generate French names, even though it says North America. (There are other natio's tagged under Nth America, such as Tongan, but thats insignificant).</p><p> I too have done my own names, for every tag, from scratch. 9000+ I think in total. Thing is I've only done male names, cos I care not for womens fighting and I've deleted them to speed the game up. So I figured no one would care much for me to upload it in the mods section. I guess if people are interested, let me know.</p><p> I've even duplicated names according to what's most common. Example, I've got Smith listed many times under the anglosphere tags to slightly increase the likelihood of fighters named Smith. Multiples of Hernandez, Fernandez, etc in Hispanic tags, I've done it for all tags in a way that fits best and according to what is most common for each tag.</p><p> You can duplicate names by adding a space before the name and then saving, repetitively. But a word of warning, if you need to import duplicates into a database, it will come up as as error and you'll have to duplicate them again.</p>
  2. <p>Hello all,</p><p> </p><p> Wierd question I know... but is the game programmed to select French names for generated Canadian fighters? </p><p> CCC opened up in Canada early in my game and a whole heap of fighters generated, just about all with French names. This seems strange because according to the editor Canadian names stem from the 'North American' tag.</p>

Does anyone know why this is the case?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> There's a picture mod that gives you 1000 extra pics?? Where?</p>
  4. Hi, Just curious what determines whether a region runs local shows or not? The reason I ask is I've played a few games where TOP opens in Russia and a whole heap of Russian fighters based in Russia generate, but they all flock to Europe's local shows. No local shows in Russia. Same situation in Mexico when OMEGA open, but no local shows? Thanks
  5. Is there a screen that shows me how long fighters prep times are for a fight?

  7. Yes after recuperation. Although 4 months could result in more fighters getting injured in training and pulling out. I stick to 8-10 weeks in advance.
  8. Thanks. Yes thats my intention, to free up the load times a little. I've been playing a game with regens on but new fighters off and what ends up happening is too many fighters on the local scene end up with high pop cos of lack of competition. I'm thinking enable new fighters to avoid this but scrap the women as I dont pay much attention to that part of the gameworld anyway.
  9. I'm going to be starting a new game soon and I'm thinking of deleting the female companies and fighters. Would this work or would the game simply generate new companies to fill the void?
  10. This products improvement is significant and much needed. Heres hoping its correlated with regional trends to determine how easy/hard it is to succeed, much like reality.
  11. <p>Another year on in my created local company, ’97 mod. It’s now mid ’99. Tough guy Raymond Diaz is my figurehead, not because I simply wanted to click someone in there, but rather he literally is the man carrying the company and bringing in the dough. It felt right to make him a figurehead even though we’re only around mid-small. He started off as a nobody youngster, and now 30 shows (2.5 years) later he sits at C popularity. Last show I ran he pulled a B+ performance against an 8 years in decline Flapjack Flanagan, for a C+ main event.</p><p> </p><p> Since my last post, he has feuded with a not-that-atrocious Land Mass (he’s learnt a thing or two in CGC), a tear-the-house-down fued with Mighty Thor and most recently a brief one with the veteran Flapjack Flanagan, which will be his last main event contribution (also my UC).</p><p> </p><p> Now, Mighty Thor! With that Ernest ‘The Cat’ Miller lookalike render, so very bookable, and I did it with joy. Pretty much the same gimmick as The Cat, minus the crappy kickboxing shtick. Comes to the ring, calls everyone a chump, claims to be the greatest, tells Diaz and random people in the front row that he’ll whoop their ass. And then there’s the brawls. Him and Diaz absolutely lit it up from the moment he announced his arrival by attacking Diaz from behind out of the crowd. Yes, he’s a useless lump in the ring, but Diaz carried him comfortably (in a perf equel to pop company to boot). To my bemusement, Thor kept requesting unscripted angles when on the stick, only to flunk ‘em every single time! Such unabashed arrogance deserved a title win, so I actually had him go over Diaz in their second bout, after the first ended in a double dq and arena brawl. The following month a rematch was announced (3rd bout between them) under the stip that they can’t attack eachother before the match. That lasted about 5 min, when Diaz interrupted Thor’s promo and beat the tar out of him just as Thor was mentioning he wasn’t allowed to. He forfeited that night, but the following month they did have their bout and Diaz got the strap back for his 2nd reign now. And what did Thor do? He cracked it and walked out on us. I’m gonna miss you Mighty Thor, such a refreshing change from a backstage of nerds who express their disdain for one another by merely not shaking hands, with Jean Pierre Baptiste giving the girlies a tsk tsk. I should mention with the Diaz v Thor fued, we scored a B- show grade on two occasions!</p><p> </p><p> Next up for Diaz is Arsenal Anderson (Human Arsenal), who I’ve unleashed as a heel ultra technician, taking pleasure in putting opponents in complicated holds no one else knows. He’s earned it after firstly jobbing for a year, then getting a slow-push, then getting the better of Dario Shelton in a best of 5. He won’t win the strap though, and I’m stumped what to do with him next as I really don’t find him bookable at all. He used to be a Next Big Thing, but strangely not so now.</p><p> </p><p> Dario Shelton has become my no 1 ring worker. I got him operating as a mr company kind of good guy, cavalrying for other faces. I recently had him emerge as the surprise 3rd partner in a 3v3 on the side of the two Brits James (Jack) Giedroyc and Rolling Paul Lewis (Johnny Stones), who were fueding with Flapjack Flanagan & Friends (FF, John McClean and Dirty Frank) after they took Giedroyc’s passport and subsequently lost it, forcing him to stay put and not go to mexico. The faces won after McClean walked out on his colleagues, laughing his way out, deciding he’d had enough of doing the bidding of the other two. Now I can free him up as a cocky self-righteous character that can fued with anyone for any reason. Got a dodgy hairdo? He’ll let you know about it. Look out Skeeter Colquehan.</p><p> </p><p> Thinking about starting up either a tag or cruiserweight title. Also thinking about bringing in one of the best talkers, Womanizer Robbie Gordon, who’ll manage new to the gameworld T-Rex. </p><p> </p><p> With Shelton and Dirty Frank, I just wish they’d get ripped or something, to up the SQ, because as is I just can’t push them too hard. Even Dirty Frank, who is an ok worker now. He doesn’t want to step up to Heavyweight, which I’d like him to do in the hope he ups a few grades in SQ department. Yeah, he can talk, but he lacks the SQ to make him meaningful and popular.</p><p> </p><p> That’s pretty much where I’m at. Elsewhere, HGC is well on the way to toppling SWF, consistently producing better shows by a whole grade every time. They bounced back brilliantly after losing Sam Strong to injury retirement, getting 2 x DeColts, Sean McFly, Bruce the Giant, Mr Supreme and Christian Faith, after the racial comments wore off, plus others. In fact, Dave really aren’t that far from SWF either as far as show grades go.</p>
  12. does anyone know which traits or stats influence a worker's size increase? In other words, what determines whether their star quality goes up or they just become flabby?
  13. <p>I agree with the pro-Eisen calls. I can't just discard him and there have been times when he has developed significantly.</p><p> </p><p> Anyone else think that maybe in CVerse canon Eisen's world title reign has to do with SWF's fall from grace, from being top dog to battling it out with TCW and USPW? If you look at the title history, he doesnt regain the belt, nor does he have a Nth American title reign since that World title in '10. It would seem to suggest it wasnt successful and that maybe nepotism drove the fans away?</p><p> </p><p> Regardless, my lone attempt at a swf game this time around has him leading a midcard Supremacy stable consisting of him, Emma C, Bret Starr and Primus Allen. But, as I said, he's certainly relevant and no throw-away worker either.</p>

Thank you.</p>
  15. Hey all, got a query about new workers being generated... I started a save where I had New Worker Frequency set to start straight away. Realised I didnt want it so I changed it to start years later and put it to 'None'. However, they still started popping up. So I changed the the Regeneration setting to Disabled, thinking that might be it. But they're still popping up? I'm concerned that this great save I've got going will be ruined because of all these wrestlers with silly names and skewed stats. Does anyone know why I can't turn them off? Am I missing something? Thanks Edit: I should mention its the '97 mod. Maybe the gameworld is a bit light on workers therefore it automatically generates?? I set smaller companies to hire only unemployed workers, maybe the gameworld needs x amount of unemployed people per region??
  16. Back into it after a hiatus... Started a local Mid West company in the fantastic Cverse 97 mod. User character Flapjack Flanagan. Old enough to be feasible, good enough to hold fort, develop and put over others. Kicked things off with a four-way to decide the inaugural champ. I brought in 3 known names for one-night deals to launch the first show alongside Flapjack in the 4way. Rico Santana, Warren Young and Elton Rando. The match and show scored a D+ and it remained my best show for the year. It also put me in debt for the whole year. Anyway, Flapjack won it. For the rest of the year, every single month, he'd basically step out and spray the small-time company (wwa), belittle any challenger put up against him that night, claim he was only there collect his pay cheque and proclaim increasing attendances were due to him. And he would retain comfortably every time. He’s head and shoulders above the rest and knows it. (I should mention Flapjack is not acknowledged as owner, he’s just a competitor). On the other hand we have 21yo Raymond Diaz. He spent most of ’97 on a Goldberg streak… well, 9 wins, but they were dominant! (With the exception of fellow tough man Jimmy Cox who actually put up a fight). This put him on the cusp of the main event scene, which considering I only have a roster of mostly cheap youngsters, isn’t that much of an achievement. Nevertheless, enter 1998 and Diaz is ready to mount a challenge for the strap. Now, Flapjack Flanagan has been around for a while and knows a threat when he sees one. In the Feb show, he strangely comes out during a match involving a face Frank Aristo (Dirty Frank) and interferes to gift Frank the win. The following month Frank has a match vs Diaz. See where this is going? Frank takes a chair to Diaz’s leg and continues doing so after the bell, turning heel in the process. Diaz eventually hobbles to the back, too tough for a stretcher, but clearly injured. Next month, Flapjack cockily assumes Diaz can’t face him that night. But out comes a fired up Diaz declaring he’s raring to go, although clearly favouring a leg with his knee patched up. Unfortunately, the bung knee is enough of a weakness for the veteran Flanagan to exploit and he hands Diaz his first loss. Fast forward a couple of months and Flanagan has managed to retain every time, courtesy of his lackeys, the now heel Dirty Frank and a young John (Squeeky) McClean. The latest match resulting in a dq win for Diaz, which although didn’t give him the strap, did see his pop rocket two whole grades to E+ and give us our greatest match thus far, a C-, aided by great chem between the two (remember he began as a young unknown). Upon seeing that, now has come the time to hand over the reigns. I’m gonna have Diaz come out and declare emphatically that ‘tonight is the night’. He’ll go on a rampage, taking out both Frank and McClean with beatdown cavalry runs after their matches, leaving him with a level playing field against Flapjack Flanagan, where he’ll become WWA National Champion, ending Double F’s 18 month reign. I’ve barely ever used Diaz in any previous saves, but he’s ticking the boxes this time. Inevitably, I might come back to another Diaz v Flapjack fued later to take us to regional. But I’m thinking of using Flapjack Flanagan & Friends as gatekeepers for the main event scene. Down the track, McClean will be a lock as Main Eventer, and I’d love to push Dirty Frank as well, something I’ve always wanted to do, but his skills just need a little more polish. Anyway, that’s that. Other things worth mentioning: -I’ve got Flex & Pecs as midcarders. They were doing what they do best, flexing their pecs. After a 6-month fued against a then face Frank Aristo and Skeeter Colquehan, I had Flex attack Pecs after some problems between them. Pecs is now repackaged as a face teen idol known simply as Santiago. -I've got a young Human Arsenal on the roster jobbing away. He's my only Next Big Thing and gets over just by jobbing. He's complaining about not being Main Eventer, but I'm adamantly keeping him at midcard for now. Problem is, I've never really taken to him as a character, especially the name. Thinking about renaming him Arsenal Anderson to make him more appealing. At the moment I've currently got him as a heel machine gimmick, which I guess I could get into later and push him as a technician to be feared, to go up against Diaz. We’ll see. - I've got a young Giedroyc on jobber duty too, operating a traveller/backpacker gimmick. Got his first little fued mapped out with him saying goodbye to the fans declaring he's leaving to go wrestle in Mexico, only for Aristo/McClean to spoil the party by ransacking his backpack post match and taking his passport... for fun. Then subsequently losing it. - Taken a liking to Dario Shelton. Bit bland, but he strikes me as your typical one-piece wearing, Mr Wrestler kind of guy. Usually a role I envision for Marv Statler, but he’s obviously not around yet. He’s developed pretty well too, might be a push on the cards for Shelton, especially if he stays long term where I’d see him as a WWA stalwart. - Land Mass has surprisingly developed into a not-that-atrocious worker over at CGC, clearly gaining a few pointers from his more talented colleagues there. I brought him in as a one-night attraction and slapped him in a handicap match, where he went over Andy Otto and a youthful Clark Alexander. Thinking about bringing him in for a stay, this time to fued with Diaz. - HGC began its existence by immediately losing Sam Strong to injury for a year. However, by AI standards, they’ve made some cracking acquisitions, getting 2 of the DeColts and a young Larry Wood. - SWF have fallen to Cult. With the launch of rival HGC, the pre-game loss of Strong and Chord, it is very feasible come to think of it. The race is on to be the best. - AMW, PDW and cant remember the other one are all out of business. Dave are well on their way to Cult it seems and PPPW seem to be doing ok too. XWF still around, but show grades never exceed the D mark. Oh, nearly forgot… Christian Faith was sacked by SWF after a racial scandal. Couldn’t believe it… He was unemployed for a good while, but the recently turned Cult CGC have offered him a contract that’s pending at the time of writing. An interesting save so far and enjoyable.
