  1. She's incredibly mediocre and can be carried to solid matches.

I'm all for LGBTQ+ representation and everything, but I honestly feel like she's there to check a box instead of her ability. Despite how it sounds, I WANT to like Nyla. He real life personality is very magnetic and likable, but outside of a small handful of matches, she rarely has good matches.

But saying she was hired because she's a trans POC is antithetical to being all for representation. You already explained that she's mediocre in the ring (it's fine-- not every wrestler should be amazing in the ring) and that she has a great personality. She is also a pretty good promo when given any chance, and she has a unique look in women's wrestling. Isn't that enough to be hired and be a prominent aspect to the women's division?

I would encourage you to change your mindset on thinking that anyone anywhere was hired because of performative progressivism. It's kinda not cool.

  2. Well, the game wouldn't properly simulate the Forbidden Door PPV anyway. It's a video game designed to be a video game mostly. The game would definitely underrate the effect of its quality, but also the player definitely overrates how it would be generally received by the global audience.

One thing that I would try first is making your game a two player game with yourself as New Japan, setting up a talent trade, moving all your talent to AEW when playing as New Japan, doing the PPV-- maybe as a lesser show, and just removing the second player, since there's no way to just say "Hey... give me all your talent for one show." Also back up your save.

  3. First real T-Verse save is also my first puro save.

Here's my first DIASPORA Prime Judgement

Some context: Sniper K is Zodiac and Hideki. Paint Pitch Black is heel Natsume Doi and Noyo. The very first month of my save saw RIKU winning the title, and later turning on Zodiac and forming his own stable with Bloodus, Talisman, Noyo, and Inokuma (who I've since fired). A couple months back I had Nori turn on Sairento due to jealousy for Sairento winning a title shot and Nori losing a title shot tournament. I'm using a face/heel split for the company, but only the true freaks are heel. It's hard to determine if Sairento is a freak or not but he's a face anyway for now. And the main event was tag team partners BURNING and SHIMIZU. SHIMIZU won the tournament for the title shot, and there's no bad blood or friction between them.

  4. Been really loving the Thunderverse lately. I've only played the C-Verse since the beginning of TEW, but the attention to detail in the database and the amount of lore is unmatched. It truly feels that no corners were cut, and there's a constant outpouring of great ideas when developing the world.

Wrespect is a Japanese-based stable that routinely fights each other like a training dojo? That's brilliant.

  5. Depends on when you played the demo.

If you were a day one beta release demo player, then yeah, the game has improved quite a lot.

If you're a day one actual release release demo player, the game hasn't changed all that much.

The game is a'ight. It's fun. But obviously playing these GreyDog games, you have to look the other way on certain things, and just sigh and move on. But I won't rant about that.

There's some good mods out there. The 2013 Yes Mod is fantastic.

  6. How badly will I be punished if I turn a '100% heel' into a babyface? Will every match and promo get docked points ? or will he just get docked in his gimmick rating?

I would be fine with the gimmick getting hit, but not the promos and match ratings....

I'm not exactly sure how severe the penalty would be, but I would say just do it. It's like the one of few actual ways you can role play being a bad booker in this game.

The penalties would be put onto the angle and match ratings. Remember, the gimmick ratings taking into account face and heel doesn't exist in the game anymore.

  7. There's about 20 different Scythes by now so why do you even mention this?

Well because I wasn't really concerned about nerds like you and I that have spent years changing the images ourselves (and you, who have created the renders), but I was concerned for the people that do say "I bought TEW to play as WWE, but this Cornellverse thing seems pretty cool" or "Just bought TEW, time to check this out." The game should look nice straight out of the box. And the reason why I specifically brought up Scythe was because a very big part of this iteration of the Cornellverse was that Golden moved to SWF AND Scythe became a main eventer to start feuding with him. And in the game, he looks like a budget 1920s comic book villain. It should be the developers' obligation to make the game look the best it possibly can visually, not the consumer's job to spend hours going through a 63 page thread saving hundreds of images that the community made.

  8. I actually want to try Thunderverse but Pictures take me out of it.

Oh, I think the pictures are the best part of it. The genius of all the renders being the same style is that you can easily pair wrestlers up in teams or stables and very frequently they just look right together. One of the worst parts of the Cornellverse is that there's so many different styles of renders. The default Scythe render is just an abomination (no offense to the creator-- it just doesn't work in the game currently).

  9. Can't say I can relate I find the likes of Toby Dingleberry, Crow Leddy, Paul Goodfellow, Lars Gunnar-Ekberg, Mogens Leerback, Shaun Dico, Brian O'Flaherty, Cullen Skink, Heiko Pander and Freddy Lomax are 9/10 times champs in major organisations or atleast top 10 ranked talent within 5 years in any of my saves.

But that's kinda what the OP was complaining about-- they find that there's a group of fighters that dominate and no one really rises up otherwise.

  10. I have taken steps to prevent this from happening, but at the end of the day, they are just bubblegum fixes for what is neglect on the part of Adam. You look around the game world the last three or so versions and almost no effort has been put into the world. Wrestlers have been midcarders for 10 years gaining no pop or skills or being touched in any meaningful way, and this was just the version that broke my back honestly.

  11. There's a few things in the current C-Verse that feel rushed. Besides things already mentioned, like more women, I wish there was more product diversity to build a world that feels unique and thoughtful, and the lack of debuting workers is disappointing.

I think the next update, if there is a new game, of course, Adam should probably burn the C-Verse to the ground. Just Thanos Snap every major TEW 2004 star.
