Round Robin Issues?
BrokenCycle replied to Mecha Kaji's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Unfortunately there's a few mechanics in the game that make round robin tournaments, specifically on tour shows, feel bad. The first is that no one will ever gain popularity by winning on a Tour show. The second is that the top talent, despite not losing popularity and the winner not gaining popularity, will still complain if they lose, so doing them on tour shows is pretty pointless. I've wondered what just making them real shows would do. -

Year 2000 Mod
BrokenCycle replied to Grant_King's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Unfortunately no. I don't get it. I don't think there has ever been a working 2000 mod in any TEW game, and it is critically the best WWF year. So many interesting scenarios, too. Just speaking for the WWF, they started off with a pretty thin main event scene and make it work wonderfully without some top stars. -

processor question.

It doesn't matter. I upgraded my machine to something close to high end and the speeds of the game didn't change one bit. The game runs how it runs.- 1 reply

You did not just compare Abadon to Jade Cargill. Come on, man, be better.

The Thunderverse is interesting because a lot of the top promotions in the game world aren't that popular, but are full of really popular workers. It's sort of like the top wrestlers are still there wrestling in the ashes of new or mismanaged companies, so there's a lot of cool dynamics where there's dogfights for positioning, and companies you wouldn't think, in real life, would be popular are popular. In my opinion, the Thunderverse is simply more interesting than the Cornellverse in terms of characters and lore, and especially diversity. There's so many badass black characters in the game world-- it's awesome. The key thing for me is the picture pack. A lot of people criticize it because all the pictures have the same characteristics and design, but I think there's a lot of depth to it and the fact that they all do look sort of the same means tag teams and stables look like they fit perfectly with one another.

Booking BHOTWG/PGHW
BrokenCycle replied to cmbell27's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Yeah, use stables and spam multi-man stable vs stable matches on tour shows based on your main feuds. Running puro promotions is much simpler than it seems. I would recommend using face/heel divide to on and enforcement to off to organize your roster a bit better, and using a promotion that only has one weight class. -
PICTURE PACK
BrokenCycle replied to ajm18's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 General Discussions
Go to the TEW folder in Windows and make sure the picture folder you downloaded and put in there shares the exact same structure as the Default folder. There should be 8 folders. -
That's not really true. I've reached out to him in private and he answered my question. I used to think it was ridiculous that they would delete all posts referencing it, but I've changed my perspective a lot. Given how easy it is to cause a mess, I just don't think Adam wants to become tech support for a secondary thing.

Grading on a curve, I gotta say USPW in every database they've been a relevant promotion in. I'm aware this could be user error, but I always feel very tense and on edge that something horrible will go wrong on every show I book. I love the idea of booking a promotion with really bad wrestlers, but the lengths you have to go through to strategize good shows really breaks my brain, and feels like you're taking advantage of how the game operates.
