INSPIRE - Real Wrestling.

Recommended Posts

Hello, my name is Jack Avatar. Yeah, not so original, but my parents are like that. Anyway, I'm a big UFC fan, as well as a wrestling fan. Now, when I was seventeen, my parents and I moved to Japan. I was enamored with the wrestling scene. The Japanese liked exactly what I liked. After I graduated the equivalent of high school, I went to work for BHOTWG. They were a great company, but they didn't focus on what I was a fan of, PGHW did more of that. Then, I caught wind of a little rebellion. Seems my guys, the former MMA guys, the bad asses, the fighters, were going to head out of the company, and start their own! I got word of this, and immediately went to Tadiyuki Kikkawa, the leader of the group, and said to him that I wanted to join him. Now, Tadiyuki's son and I were good friends I suppose, so he said sure. Little did I know, that would end with me getting the head booking of the promotion. They needed someone impartial to set up the fights, and I was the man for the job. Or, so they told me. I think they just wanted someone who'd work for free. And that they could tell what to do. Anyway... They wanted an open competition. The men would discuss what would happen, but it would all happen live. This would be unscripted, real wrestling. And to the winner goes the spoils. That's how we do it, here in INSPIRE. (OOC: I'm going to do this a little differently. None of the matches will have the winner set, that will be determined by the game. Title matches will be scarce, due to the loss of prestige that I don't want to happen. But each event will be seperate, but with a fighter's momentum, and prestige being built up with wins, until they deserve a title shot. There won't be so many King of Fighters matches, so there will be a second title, a mid card belt, that'll be defended more often. This belt will be called "Prince of Fighters." Summary: Match Winners not set, game determines. UFC-like, INSPIRE based. ) NEXT POST: Roster Information for INSPIRE, as well as show information. He's a good striker, without much other talent. But damn, is he big, and is he strong! Mike Watson Mike is one of the most famous MMA fighters in the world. Another good striker, he is also a decent technical worker. Raul Hughes The greatest puncher in the world today. He's also a good technical and a good brawling worker, one of the few men we have who can really do both. He is 41, though. Tadiyuki Kikkawa Possibly the most dominant worker in Japanese wrestling today. He's a great striker, who is also the head of this company. The last King of Fighters Champion. Tasuku Iesada A very good technician, this man brings a different flavor to the main event. He's also a decent striker, and has some nice moves. Upper Midcarders Billy Russell Here is a good technical worker, great consistancy and ability in the ring. Not much of a striker, but has solid other ability. A former MMA guy, he fits in nicely with the company's theme. Hell Monkey Hell yes, we hired Hell Monkey. The man's a great all around worker, with lots of ability. Injury-prone, but hopefully he can avoid that. Also, we made him lose the mask. No Juniors here! Li Bingci Li Bingci is the former silver medalist at the Olympic Games in freestyle wrestling. From that you may have gleaned that the man is a great technical worker, and you'd be right. Totally unable to do anything else, but great at that. Masaaki Okazaki Another submission specialist, he fits in great with what we do here. Morimasa Kato Young. Talented in both brawling and technical styles of wrestling. What's not to like? A man to watch for the future. Midcarders Arjen Van Den Leyne Another former MMA competitor, this guy's a good striker, and... not much else. Written contract though. Claudio Burdisso Another solid striker, this one's young, an all out attacker, and... young? Needs to develop his other styles of wrestling. Jack Avatar What? You thought I wasn't going to compete? Fat chance. Mohamed El Yaaggoudi A top kickboxer, this man can obviously strike. Interestingly enough, he's also a flier, which is different here Roku Sotomura Another technical star, this guy likes his rest holds. "The Master of the Chinlock." Tornado Nagai The suplex machine. Sometimes goes off and just dominates. Wael Hossam The best mat wrestler in our promotion. No joke, the guy can go! Willie York Another decent, not greater striker. Takes his lumps well. Lower Midcarders Hiromaro Suzuki A young man to watch for the future, he can both strike and mat wrestle. And he's only 22! Kalu Owusu Another good striker. Does nothing fancy, just goes after you full throttle. SUKI SUKI is young, technically talented, and is a great performer. Tsurayuki Kamachi A young man who is already a solid striker and mat wrestler, he's also got room to improve. Openers / Enhancement Talents Oda Yakuta Not good at anything, probably on his way out when we find someone better. Rahabad Lawal Big (320 pounds) Strong (The man is ripped) A good striker (We rated him a C+) Rashid Lawal See Lawal, Rahabad. Merle O'Curle A man new to Japan, he is talented, and will go far.

INSPIRE House of Pain (January Week 1) Hype At the inaugural edition of INSPIRE House of Pain, we have several top contests for the match. And, each of these matches, will be a shoot fight! Arjen Van Den Leyne vs. Willie York In the first ever match in INSPIRE history, two former MMA fighters go at it. Both are good strikers, and both are tough as nails. Which man will come out the victor? Merle O'Curle vs. Wael Hossam In a match of the mat wrestlers, two men square off. Will the winner be O'Curle, the "Irish Stretching Machine?" Or will it be Hossam, the best mat wrestler in the world today. SUKI vs. Morimasa Kato One youngster and one veteran face off here. SUKI is in his first ever shoot fight. Will Morimasa Kato, the MMA elder, take the young one to school? Or will SUKI overcome the odds to pick up the victory? Li Bingci vs. Raul Hughes Prince of Fighters Title Match These two men were randomly selected out of all the wrestlers in INSPIRE to take part in the first ever INSPIRE Prince of Fighters title match! Will the Olympic Silver Medalist defeat the most powerful puncher in the world? Who will take home the gold? Even I don't know the answer! Mike Watson vs. Marat Khoklov Two of the greatest strikers in the world today go at it here. Will Watson, the most famous MMA fighter in the history of the sport take down the champion? Or will Khoklov, the Russian giant who has taken the world by storm destroy his opponent? Predictions Short Form Remember, even I don't know the answer. Arjen Van Den Layne vs. Willie York Merle O'Curle vs. Wael Hossam SUKI vs. Morimasa Kato Raul Hughes vs. Li Bingci (Prince of Fighters Title Bout) Marat Khoklov vs. Mike Watson

Interesting concept - whether it will work out well in practice remains to be seen - I think you'll find that the AI will select the most over wrestler to win each fight almost every time. Hence my picks are: Arjen Van Den Layne vs. Willie York Merle O'Curle vs. Wael Hossam SUKI vs. Morimasa Kato Raul Hughes vs. Li Bingci (Prince of Fighters Title Bout) Marat Khoklov vs. Mike Watson
