Great show, I'm really intruiged with the whole Sting thing, should be interesting. Also, the conversation with Bret saying it was a one-night-only deal...I've got my suspicions, don't want to say anything though, in case I've somehow got it right and I ruin something:p

My initial thought was that Bret may give his shot to Ted, maybe to build him up. Just want you to know that it's not obvious, if that's the direction you're going in, it's just something I'd do if I was in that position.
Congrats Big Boy, Anything in particular you enjoyed?
Yeah. I planned on elaborating, but first I wanted to make sure that I was locked in as matchmaker. ;) O'Haire losing Dumas was nice because it'll give both O'Haire and Jarrett something to do over the next month or two. O'Haire is a great talent and I can understand signing him, but he didn't get to do much since his debut. Paparazzi Productions is a very hot tag team right now, and both Nash and Hall are being used perfectly to give the rub to the two young guys. I've always thought Nash makes a better manager than wrestler, and while Hall is charismatic and a decent wrestler it's a good idea to keep him out of regular competition so his weaknesses don't get exposed. Like I said earlier, Hart had to win against Angle. If he hadn't won then the surprise announcement that the winner of the match would be the number one contender would have just gone to waste. Sting's heel turn is a great idea and it's been done as well as it could be done in a diary. Whoever beats him cleanly is going to be huge in the future, and I'd strongly suggest not wasting that match on an already established star. And the Styles/Bischoff alliance is maybe my favorite story going right now. It's only made better by Styles making the minimum number of defenses possible so far. The only problems I have so far are Samoa Joe winning the World Heavyweight title and the way that Jericho has (arguably) gone to waste so far. I think Cage vs. Hart would have the better match even if it's not a "dream match," and Cage going fanboy a couple of weeks prior would have been a great buildup to that match happening. Jericho is going to be an asset to the company, no doubt about that, but it still would have been nice to see him go up against someone bigger than Rob Conway in his first match. Aside from the stuff in the above paragraph, though? Great card. If the match ratio had been a little different then it probably would've been your show of the year.

With Jericho, i had the opportunity to snap him up, so i brought him in, and felt it necessary not to throw him right into the main event picture. One thing i will say, is that if Bret Hart vs Samoa Joe happens, ill be very suprised!!! lol Sting has got big plans, oh yes! I also plan on big pushes for the Pap Productions with a big twist. Jeff Jarrett i also feel could get himself a push,

I regret to inform the rest of you that my initial proposal for a Hard Justice match was impossible because of Shark Boy having been released from his contract. Tragic though that might be, and I'm sure we'll all have many a sleepless night because of it, I was still able to come up with a replacement match involving the man I wanted as his tag team partner.

Yup, that was a pretty sick show. That's about all I can say, sick. Glad to see the title match got an A* .. that must have definitely helped. I'm interested to see where the Hart storyline goes, the same for Sting. I wish I had more to say but I'm in a hurry. Just letting ya know that you booked that show really well and I'll be checking back soon to see what's up. Keep up the awesome work.

THAT was one of the GREATEST PPV'S I've EVER READ! if that actually happened the ratings would go through the ROOF! I mean the boiler room brawl between Banderas and Abyss was just...... S.I.C.K! and the dream match between Angle and Bret? is about as close as what can happen between them. dude if you became a booker the wrestling world will NEVER...... EEEEVVEERRR be the same and you can take THAT to the bank!

not really no, This is 2006, and the entertainment capacity is hugely less than the capacity of a sporting event such as football or rugby. In 1992, no such restrictions applied in the UK on a capacity in a place such as Wembley.

Hmmm... the new design for Wembley gives seating for 90,000 for football and rugby league, 75,000 seated and 15,000 standing for a concert. I still think that'd be eery.. and wrestling to me is a theatre that needs a powerful audience to boom out the support necessary. No disrespect, and I'm sure none taken, but it'd just feel empty and I suspect this would carry over to how the product is viewed. I'm not sure how TEW views it though.

Pretty good ppv overall. The later matches made up for some fairly lacklustre earlier bouts (and I mean in TEW ratings terms). Like has been mentioned, it'll be interesting to see how you handle Sting given the history of a character development that never came about in real life. Joe is a viable choice for champion, although there would have been no problem with Cage holding onto the strap for a while longer. Jericho interferance was a little so-so, but if it leads to a programme with Christian, it should be all good. At least Y2J made somewhat of an impact since his hyped return. The boiler room brawl was intense, good job on that. I also liked Lita/Dumas turning on O'Haire, which should give him a bit more leeway to develop as an individual character, whilst her and Jarrett should make a good combo. Even though it was only a one night deal, I'm just not buying into Bret Hart wrestling, especially such a hard fought contest. It does at least give you a good storyline to run with, but I just hope you keep Hart out of the ring. Not really one to bang the realism drum, but that opening 2-3 minutes of that match would probably have put him in a wheelchair. Finally, you're pushing Paparazzi Productions... this makes me happy.

Guest Vitamin E
I havent read the beginning of the diary but maybe Ill do that after reviewing your PPV, so some things I say may have been answered or something. First I want to say the PPV was nothing compared to what some people are saying about it. it wasnt "OMG GREATNESS" like Im reading. (Quick edit: I have to say either darthsiddus has never read a diary at EWB or Corp. X, or he has low expectations because I cant see how he could think that) Here is a large amount of feedback. Now, the layout o the show. I dislike it when people add the pictures in for everything, from the announcers to staff members to wrestlers. It takes up space and can, depending on how people use them, can just become messy and unsatisfying to the eye. Using pictures when posting a roster I can understand, but I dont understand why people use them in shows for every little thing. The write ups for matches, after just the first match, I hate. It's a move by move write up, which nobody can really do that good. Nothing else to say really. Two back to back matches ending in under 2 minutes? The write up for that tag match was HORRIBLE. I find it that people should, or at least usually, come out with better write ups for PPV's as opposed to normal tv shows. You did nothing with that match than a couple of one lined lines. It also shows why I hate the pictures being used because they become unneccesary and clutter the shows up. Makes things easier and more attractive to the eye when you dont have pictures taking up the same amount, or at least in the case of the tag match more space, than a match write up. The Hart promo got the point across, but Hart WRESTLING? Come on. Not even for one match could I see Hart wrestling again because of his physical being. If it was in the year...2010 or something further in the future, maybe. but present day? Again I must repeat the dislike for pictures being used. They arent needed in parts like the Christian/Joe thing. Youre matches could be so much better if you put effort into them. A hardcore match consisting of Rhino, Taz, Sabu, and Raven together going 10 minutes could have had good stuff, but you did nothing to capture that. Nothing. All you did was explain a few things then go "so and so won...". Not sure how Shane McMahon came to being owner of TNA, but I cant see it happening ever. Ill go back and read to see if it was explained well enough to make it believable, though. the write up for the Jarrett/O'Haire match was the best so far, but its the best of the worst. Youre match write ups so far are really bad. A match you have labeled as going 10 minutes seems like Im reading a match going 2 or 3. Jericho in TNA is interesting... The tag match was a better write up, but still, get away from the move by move kind of write ups. Nobody can do them to the point where they are good. The abyss/banderas match is how you write a match, except for the style you use. THAT is how you should portray matches. Not a few lines of nothingness that make a possibly good match seem like you had a 2 or 3 minute borefest. Ive always liked Ken Shamrock so him being brought in could be good. Again, a 16 minute match you have written as seeming like an Impact 5 minute match. Another good length match write up, but again I do not like the way you write matches. Every line seemed like "OMG!!!!" kind of things because you had exclamation points next to everything. TNA title match was written alright I guess, but I dont see the point of skipping 20 lines between the 1 count and 2 count. May build suspense, but really makes the show seem longer than it reall is. Bret Hart shouldnt be used in a wrestling role in any current day diary. I dont care if the match is written and takes up 3 posts by itself and is the best piece of work ever. Bret Hart shouldnt be used in a wrestling role. The match, you have as nearly a half hour, but it seems like it wouldnt go past 5 minutes. Really, change the write up because move by move doesnt work for you nor anybody. The way you write is a little like listening to Don West commentate: cringeworthy, especially when you write a match like West is commentating and making every line seem amazing with the excessive !!!!!!!'s. From that PPV, Im not impressed with the diary. Ill go back and read the rest of it and see where I stand.

Dude, I just read through all of this and I thought I'd give some criticism. If youu want to take it on board, cool; if not, also fine. However, I like to try and help where I can because some people's posts in my diary definitely made me reassess things.

Shane as TNA owner is not believable at all. However, realism is in no way essential and it does add a cool twist. Having said that, your reference to him "doing it again" seemed out of place to me. His takeover of WCW was a work and you're trying to sell this as a real transaction. So, for me, that line took some of the shine from the illusion.
Hart wrestling doesn't seem too big of a problem to me; again, suspension of realism can be a good thing. Nevertheless, I have to question one thing. You said that you did not edit or embellish any wrestlers stats which I think is the right way to go. However, if that is the case, how on earth did Angle/Hart pull an 'A' rating? Hart hasn't wrestled on a stage like that in years, his body is still in bad shape and the "ring rust" factor would be impossible to overestimate. Even Angle is not that good, surely. So, I'm intrigued as to whether you did, in fact, bum up Hart's stats or if you're just using a very generous mod.
For me, there is not enough of a "struggle" at the minute. Shane's now owner (and has probably poured money in) and various big names have popped up. That, coupled with a lot of ex-WWE talent and retirees (such as Lita and Trish) means that, in my opinion, you're in danger of masking (or even losing) TNA's own identity. For me, it looks too much like WWE Take 2 at the moment.
I agree that your match write-ups are a little over the top. Using three exclamation marks instead of two adds nothing and somewhat devalues their usefulness. If every move/action in a match is a spectatcle then why would one bother watching the whole thing? The capital letters and punctuation that you're using destroys the illusion of psychology which was a particular shame in the Hart/Angle match for me.
I prefer angles with more "meat". I think it would be better to write them out more fully rather than just give a brief description.
Hope this helps some. This could turn into a very good read if you make some odd tweaks!
