You all know me as the guy who can't stick with a diary! And I return to defend my title! No, this is Ring Of Honor, the greatest company in the world. If I can't stick with this one, I can't with any dynasty.
INTERNATIONAL WRESTLING PHENOMENON RING OF HONOR INKS STATESIDE TELEVISION DEALS WITH iN DEMAND, TVN AND ECHOSTAR PPV/VOD Distribution Deals Bring ROH into 50 Million Households New York, May 3, 2007 - Ring Of Honor Wrestling (ROH), in association with G-Funk Sports & Entertainment, has concluded programming and distribution deals for PPV and VOD wrestling cards with iN DEMAND Networks, TVN and EchoStar Communications Corporation’s DISH NetworkTM, making the critically-acclaimed ROH brand available for the first time ever to approximately 50 million American households. The agreement calls for a card every 60 days from shows both stateside and abroad, and will premiere July 1. A total of six cards are planned throughout ‘07/’08. ROH owner Cary Silkin made the announcement today with G-Funk’s President Ken Gelman. The debut event, entitled “Respect Is Earned,” will be taped May 12 in New York City from the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, and will feature a glistening array of talent from Japan, England, the U.S. and Mexico. Long revered by a loyal underground fan base, the Philadelphia-based ROH—currently seen on Canadian, British and Japanese TV—appeals to the disenfranchised wrestling fan fed up with storylines which seem to take precedence over the kind of powerful ring competition that ROH specializes in. ROH, in fact, is seen to have the highest level of athleticism in its field today, which recently culminated in a sweep of the 2006 Wrestling Observer awards for “Most Outstanding Wrestler,” “Best Brawler,” “Best Major Wrestling Show” (ROH took four of its Top 10) and “Best Booker.” “Fans around the world now know that our brand of action is, indeed, the highest-flying, hardest-hitting most daring and acrobatic action presented today,” says Mr. Silkin. “We are thrilled that we can finally show a televised audience what our crowds have known for the last six years…that ROH harkens back to an earlier era of wrestling where authenticity still counted for something. There’s a magic at our shows that I, as a wrestling fan, had all but given up on.” G-Funk Sports and Entertainment will be handling all marketing and promotion for the wrestling programs, including creation and launch of an affiliate website on May 15, www.rohaffiliates.com, which will contain easy-to-implement marketing materials and all event information. Each show will also be supported by a range of targeted national consumer advertising and promotion. According to Mr. Gelman, “Ring Of Honor already has the respect and enthusiastic following of legions of fans around the world through their live events, but represents a fresh new entry into the world of televised wrestling. These distinctive programs will prove a welcome change-of-pace for audiences and a popular new option for cable operators and satellite providers as they expand their transactional offerings.” About iN DEMAND Networks iN DEMAND Networks is the pioneer and world leader in providing exciting entertainment delivered through television’s most innovative technologies. iN DEMAND delivers programming through four distinct areas of business: Pay-Per-View (PPV), Video-On-Demand (VOD), Subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD) and high-definition (HD) programming. With it's historic Pay-Per-View Deal, the company will gain historic nationwide exposure. They have always had the product, they've always had the talent. Now, they have the vehicle to get their name out there. But, will America respond to Ring Of Honor? Can they deal with the non-sports entertainment nature of the promotion? And will ROH put on the shows that allow them to showcase their ability? That's my job. I've been hired by Cary Silken to replace Gabe Sapolsky. Gabe will continue his job as the head booker of Full Impact Pro Wrestling, unless the rumored SHanyes takes over that job. Then, he's f***ed. But I got the job here at ROH. And this is what greeted me. * Adam Pearce * BJ Whitmer * Brent Albright * Bryan Danielson * Chad Collyer * Chris Hero * Claudio Castagnoli * Davey Richards * Delirious * El Generico * Erick Stevens * Jack Evans * Jay Briscoe * Jimmy Jacobs * Jimmy Rave * Kevin Steen * Matt Sydal * Mark Briscoe * Matt Cross * Nigel McGuinness * Pelle Primeau * Rocky Romero * Roderick Strong * Shane Hagadorn * Takeshi Morishima – current ROH World Champion * Tank Toland This is the main roster of ROH. I've added "The Anarchist" Doug Williams and a mystery signing who will be debuted at the first pay-per-view. And, so we enter the next era in Ring Of Honor history. With me as booker! Woo! The new pay-per-views will be complimented by our continuing Weekly House Shows. So, here we go! Get ready for ROH!

Match starts off with a headlock. Sydal forces Collyer into the corner and climbs the ringposts. The fans count to ten as the punches rain down on "The Second Ice Man." Sydal gets down and irish whips Collyer across the ring. He charges after Collyer, but is met with a big boot to the face. Collyer slaps on a Sharpshooter! Wow! Sydal struggles, fights, and manages to get to the ropes. Collyer releases the hold, and the two continue to battle. Sydal seems to get the upper hand, going for the Double Helix! Nobody home! Collyer with another Sharpshooter! Nowhere for Sydal to go! He taps! Chad Collyer wins the opening match of the night. (C) Winner: Chad Collyer vs. Davey Richards vs. Brent Albright The bell rings and Brent Albright slaps Davey Richards across the face. Richards just stares at him, daring him to do it again. Brent does, rocking Davey back on his heels. But Davey just turns back, fire in his eyes. Brent goes to slap him again, but Davey blocks it and rocks Brent with a huge shot to the jaw. Davey drives Brent Albright backward, nailing him with shot after shot. Albright just can't get going! Davey Richards bounces Brent off the ropes, and meets him with a dropkick to the jaw! Albright crashes to the mat, and up goes Richards! Shooting Star Press.... AND IT CONNECTS! 1-2-3, Davey Richards gets the victory. (C) Winner: Davey Richards vs. The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Havana Pitbulls ROH World Tag Team Titles This match, if you don't already know, is for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. The match begins with Mark Briscoe and Rocky Romero in the center of the ring. They lock up, and Romero twists the arm of Mark Briscoe, and forces him into the Pitbull corner. Rocky makes the tag, and the two double-team Mark Brisoce, stomping him into the ring post. The referee eventually forces them to seperate, and Mark Briscoe slumps off the post. Ricky drops the elbow, and begins to put Mark into Hold #641 (Arm-BAR) Mark Briscoe turns the tables, and forces Ricky to the mat. He gets the tag to Jay Briscoe, and sets him up on his knee. Jay Briscoe with the flying stomp from the top rope! Connects! 1-2-3! That's it, The Briscoe Brothers defend their gold! (C) Winner: The Briscoe Brothers vs. Kevin Steen vs. Chris Hero The last EWR World Champion faces off with the Hero of the Masses, Chris Hero here! The two trade punches to start the bout, before Chris Hero takes control. He uses a drop-toe hold to take Steen down to the mat, and locks in a headlock. He wrenches on the neck of Steen, before he eventually flips him over and releases the hold. Hero goes to the top rope as Steen staggers to his feet. Flying dropkick! 1-2-Kick Out. Hero begins to argue with the referee, and loses his attention on Steen. As Hero argues with the referee, Steen locks on a waist lock. Rolling Suplexes! One...Two...Three Suplexes in a row. Steen grabs Hero by the arms, drags him to his feet... and... STEENALIZER! 1-2-3! Chris Hero was just tossed into the air like a rag doll! (C+) Winner: Kevin Steen As Steen celebrates, someone comes running down the aisle! It's... CLAUDIO CASTIGNOLI! He clotheslines Steen from behind and begins to mudhole stomp a hole in him. Chris Hero joins Claudio in nailing him to the mat, before El Generico runs to the ring. He grabs a steel chair from the surrounding audience, and brandishes it, scaring Claudio Castignoli and Chris Hero from the ring. Chris Hero grabs the arm of Castignoli and raises it into the air. Hero seems to be chanting "Kings Of Wrestling" as he and Castignoli enter the backstage area. Generico helps Steen up and they follow to the back, looking angry. (F) vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuiness "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson has returned to Ring of Honor! And tonight, he faces a man he has put on several classics with, Nigel McGuiness. Danielson soaks in the cheers as the bell rings, and McGuiness blindsides him. Danielson recovers quickly, and manages to reverse an armlock McGuiness tries to put on him. Danielson's got one of his own locked in, and Nigel struggles. The two get to his feet, and McGuiness hits several elbows to the gut of Danielson. The two continue to go at it in the ring, until Danielson gets McGuiness down in the center of the ring. Danielson flips over... CATTLE MUTILATION! The crowd goes insane as McGuiness struggles as hard as he can, but there is absolutely nowhere to go! He taps out! He taps out! Bryan Danielson wins his return match to Ring Of Honor! (B-) Winner: Bryan Danielson The crowd continues to be all hyped up as a video plays, showing highlights of Takeshi Morishima, and then Roderick Strong. The video ends with a graphic, saying that THE MAIN EVENT IS... NEXT! (F) vs. Takeshi Morishima vs. Roderick Strong Remember, if Morishima defends his title, the Full Impact Pro World Title will no longer be defended here in Ring of Honor. And Morishima is a bull, he grabs Strong as the bell rings, gorilla presses him and drops him to the mat. But Morishima goes for a Seanton Splash, and Roderick Strong grabs him and nails a Backbreaker! 1-2-Kick Out! The two men come to their feet, a little more respect in their eyes. They lock up again, going at it in the center of the ring. The match is not as good as the last one, but it's still very good. Strong manages to stay in the match, but Morishima eventually scoops him up from behind and hits the BACKDROP DRIVER. 1-2-3, Takeshi Morishima retains, and the FIP World Title is no more in Ring Of Honor! They lock up, Rave ending up with the headlock. He wrenches on the neck of Davey Richards, who eventually manages to slip out and grab a waist lock. He suplexes Rave overhead and wrenches on the legs of Rave. The match from their is a good one, with some good spots. These two seem to work well together, and the match gets the people in the crowd going. Richards hits a nice bulldog off the top rope, then gets up for a Shooting Star Press and a 1-2-3. (C-) Winner: Davey Richards vs. Chad Collyer vs. Doug Williams This match should have been better then it was. I mean, it wasn't horrible, but something doesn't click between these two in the ring. Too bad, as these two seem to fit in the ring together. When they were on the same page, the action was crisp and full. The action stayed on the mat, but it was crisp with plenty of reversals and such technical action. The match ends when Collyer locks in the Texas Cloverleaf, and despite all his best efforts, Doug Williams taps out. (D+) Winner: Chad Collyer vs. Steen and Generico vs. The Kings Of Wrestling The Kings of Wrestling have reformed! Chris Hero and Claudio Castignoli come down the aisle in unison, with the crowd giving them lots of heat. Steen and Generico get a good pop, nothing exceptional, but a nice one. The match is very, very good. Steen and Hero go at it to begin, Steen keeping the match down and Hero kicking the pace up. I know that isn't what is typically expected of a heel, but that's Chris Hero's style. Generico gets a quick tag, and levels Hero with a dropkick. 1-2-3? Wow, Generico must have knocked him out cold with that shot. (C+) Winners: Steen and Generico vs. Matt Sydal vs. Nigel McGuiness These two men are both accomplished technical wrestlers, one a better high-flyer, the other a better brawler. They clash here in the Azuma Concert Hall in Jamaca, New York in front of 2000 screaming fans. Sydal gains the early advantage, grabbing McGuiness's leg and taking him to the mat. He wrenches on said leg, then picks up McGuiness, and sends him into the ropes. McGuiness bounces off and CRUSHING LARIAT FROM MCGUINESS! Wow, he nearly took his head of with that. 1-2-Kick Out. Sydal is able to kick out of the pin attempt however, and the bout goes on. Dropkick from McGuiness, sending Sydal down. Sydal springs back up, kicks McGuiness in the gut, and STUNNER. 1-2-McGuiness Kick's Out. They both get back to their feet. Sydal goes for another kick, McGuiness sidesteps it and GUVENOR'S CRUMPET. We haven't seen that one in a long while. 1-2-3! Nigel McGuiness wins. (C) Winner: Nigel McGuiness A video plays on the screens in the arena. Bryan Danielson's face appears. "Takeshi Morishima. Since coming to Ring Of Honor, you've been able to defeat all opponent's you've had. You beat a man who I consider one of my toughest opponents, Homicide. You are a mountain of a man, 300 plus pounds of pure strength and agility. You are the ROH World Champion. And NONE of that matters. At Respect Is Earned Morishima, it's gonna be you and me. The American Dragon's gonna reclaim his spot at the TOP of this industry. Don't believe me Takeshi? Find out on July 1st. You will see why I am the greatest ROH Champion in this company's history!” (F) vs. These two lock up in a match worthy of the main event. Danielson, after his promo a minute earlier, seems all fired up. He takes the fight to Roderick Strong, driving him back in to the corner of the ring. He suplexes Strong overhead, and, as Strong gets to his feet, he flattens him with a flying european uppercut. Strong fights back, but he is unable to defeat the man on a mission that is "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Danielson eventually grabs Strong from behind, takes him down, and locks in the Cattle Mutalation for the submission victory. I really like this so far. You have a great roster to work with, and so long as you use them pretty much like you are now, there is no limit to how far you can rise with them if they are built up right. Keep up the good work. Doug Williams vs. Davey Richards Jack Evans vs. ??? Takeshi Morishima vs. Adam Pearce And from the looks of your first show it looks like you could use a new Morishima picture, so here you go.

The bell sounds and the two lock up. McGuiness takes command early, taking control of the match. Nigel slams Collyer to the mat, and grabs a Single Leg Boston Crab submission hold. He pulls on the leg of Collyer, who struggles, and finally grabs the ropes. McGuiness refuses to release the hold, until referee Bruce Gorie makes him. Collyer rolls around the ring, clearly in pain, as McGuiness plays to the crowd. McGuiness picks Collyer up, sets him on the top rope, and TOWER OF LONDON! 1-2-Kick Out! Collyer barely got a shoulder up! Collyer struggles to his feet, throwing right hand after right hand. He finally irish whips McGuiness into the ropes, who bounces off and goes for the Running Lariat! He's rolled up by Collyer! 1-2-3! No way! Chad Collyer has defeated Nigel McGuiness. (C-) Winner: Chad Collyer Nigel McGuiness is not happy. As Chad Collyer walks back to the backstage area, McGuiness attacks him from behind, sending him crashing to the ramp. He stomps a hole into Collyer, ending by spitting on the man who defeated him moments earlier. McGuiness ends up ****ily strutting back to behind the curtain, while Collyer eventually gathers his wits and limps to the backstage area. (F) vs. Delirious vs. Jimmy Rave Two highflyers go at it here in this week's Ring Of Honor House Show. Delirious has been on a steady rise to the main event in the last few months, while Jimmy Rave is already a ring veteran at the young age of 22 years of age. The match does not disappoint either, giving the fans exactly what they expect, a fast-paced match full of all out action. Jimmy Rave actually tries to ground The Delirious One, using several Boston Crabs and STF variations to work on the legs of Delirious. But Delirious uses his typical oblivious style, continuing to go to the top rope. Cobra Stretch locked in! Rave makes it to the ropes, and the bout continues. Rave driven face first into the mat! Shadows Over Hell! 1-2-3, Delirious gains the victory! (D) Winner: Delirious vs. Mark Briscoe vs. Matt Sydal Mark Briscoe, one half of the ROH World Tag Team champions, The Briscoe Bros, faces Matt Sydal, a former tag team champion with Christopher Daniels. Neither man has their partners tonight as they go at it here in singles action. The match is fast paced, relying on quick chain wrestling as its main focus. The high-flying of the last match is more of an afterthought in this one, but this is only until Mark Briscoe manages to take out Sydal with a Russian Legsweep. He then climbs the turnbuckle, and the Shooting Star Press connects! 1-2-3, Mark Briscoe wins the singles matchup. (C) Winner: Mark Briscoe Jack Evans comes to the center of the ring. "Last week, I was announced as facing a mystery opponent tonight here in Orlando, Florida. Well, apparently three men have wanted a shot at me, "The Prince of Parkland" Jack Evans. One this week, one next week, and the final one at Final Showdown, which is in two weeks! So, whoever you are, come on down and get some!" Elix Skipper walks out. "It's PRIMETIME Jack Evans! Get ready for a fight like you ain't never had before!" Jack laughs and the match begins. vs. Jack Evans vs. Elix Skipper Two of the most exciting cruiserweight workers in the world today square off for the fans here in Universal Studios. Not the ROH typical local, but they know Elix Skipper quite well from his time in Total NonStop Action Wrestling, and Jack Evans from FIP. The match is excellent. Skipper grabs an arm takedown early, then hits a moonsault for a two-count. Evans battles back however, whipping Skipper into the corner and using the cartwheel elbow strike to send Elix reeling. Then, a flying crossbody from the top rope gets Evans a two-count. Skipper gets back to his feet, and Evans dropkicks him into the ropes, then springs up for a beautiful flying crossbody. Skipper goes down, but Evans doesn't go for the cover. Instead he goes up top for the 630 SPLASH! 1-2-3! Jack Evans defeats the first of his three mystery opponents! (C-) Winner: Jack Evans vs. Davey Richards vs. Doug Williams And, from two extremely athletic men who can entertain with aerial manuevers to two equally athletic men, who entertain with the best technical wrestling this side of Japan. Match is even here, both men get in equal offense. Doug Williams is a beast, using several powerslam type maneuvers to send Davey Richards crashing to the mat. But Richards is no slouch in the center of the ring, and he shows it by using a great enziguri kick to knock the British man down. He then locks on Hold 852 (ARM-Bar) and wrenches on that. Doug is able to fight it off however, and gets back to his feet with several elbow strikes to the gut of Davey Richards. He slams Richards to the mat, and bounces off the ropes in preparation for some sort of falling elbow drop. But he never gets that far, as Richards uses a drop toe hold to send him to the mat. Stretch Muffler! There's no where for Williams to go! He taps out! The winner of the match is Davey Richards by submission. (C-) Winner: Davey Richards "The Gun For Hire" Brent Albright is backstage with GMC, Gary Michael Cappetta. "Bryan Danielson, I formally challenge you to a match here tonight. You see, someone, and I'm not going to say who, has payed me to take you out Danielson. They see you as a threat American Dragon, and they employed me to make sure that threat is never carried out. So, do you want to accept the challenge? Or do you want me to hit you when you least expect it Dragon? It's your call." (E) As Albright turns away, he is blindsided by Bryan Danielson, The American Dragon himself. Albright goes to the floor as Danielson grabs the microphone from GMC. "Does that answer your question Shooter? You. Me. Tonight." (E+) vs. Takeshi Morishima vs. Adam Pearce A good stiff match between two excellent brawlers. The match is not the technical showcase that the following Danielson vs. Albright promises to be. But it gets its point across. Pearce gets surprising offense in early, actually sending the champ to one knee. But Morishima comes roaring back, slapping the holy hell out of Adam Pearce. He grabs Pearce, and Satio Suplexes him! Morishima to the top rope... Pearce struggles to his feet... FLYING DROPKICK BY MORISHIMA! Nothing for Adam Pearce to do, the ref counts 1-2-3 as Morshima pins the shoulders of Pearce to the mat, right on the ROH logo. The Pearce-Morishima match got a bit more of a pop from the crowd, for reasons I fully don't understand. Danielson is crazy over with the fans, and Albright's made a heck of a debut here in ROH. But, the match is everything you'd expect it to be. Both men uses technical skills to take the advantage over their opponent. But in the end, Bryan Danielson shows why he was the longest-reigning champion in Ring of Honor history, as he nails a European Uppercut from the top rope, snapping the head of Albright back, and sending him crashing to the mat. The rest is elementry as Danielson picks up a hard-fought victory. They got a C, which is pretty good considering that they aren't the most over of wrestlers. ROH's grades are difficult to judge, because I'm sure the match quality is high, but for fan reaction, ROH is different then most.
