I'm Bob Caudle along with Gordon Solie. Gordon, tonight we have a great main event that a lot of fans have been looking forward to." Gordon Solie: "Indeed we do, Bob. It's going to be a pier six brawl in a Texas Street Fight as two brothers go one on one: Terry Funk vs. Dory Funk, Jr. What a wild matchup!" Bob Caudle: "What a wild matchup, indeed Gordon. Speaking of great matches, let's go to the ring for our opening contest." =B+

vs. This was a non-title match as Valentine came down still without the title belt. That became the topic of discussion by the announcers as these two did a good job in a great opening bout. Mike Rotundo was joined by Wahoo McDaniel at ringside but it wasn't enough as Valentine got the pinfall following the Hammer Elbow Drop. Greg Valentine defeated Mike Rotundo in 7:57 by pinfall with a Hammer Elbow Drop. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...Wahoo McDaniel did some good work at ringside. Greg Valentine and Mike Rotundo have pretty good chemistry, and it lifted the match. Mike Rotundo is improving in Performance skills...=C+

Terry Funk: "Brother! DORY! Tonight is the night all doubts about my ability are put to rest. Tonight in our Texas Street Fight it's gonna be just like old times, just like when we were younger and I always used to put you in your place. You may be the older brother here but you're not the better brother. Tonight puts all doubts to rest about who the better Funk is. You better be ready older brother because tonight you're going down." =B-

vs. Anderson and Eaton came out here for this match against the Mulkeys and definitely took the Mulkeys lightly as most tag teams often do and with good reason. Anderson and Eaton looked crisp and good out there in the ring. And during the match, Bob Caudle and Gordon Solie announced that Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton will be taking on the Briscos this Monday night on WorldWide in a best 2 out of 3 matches to determine who will face the Rock and Roll Express at Souled Out. The first match will take place Monday, the second next week here on the Main Event and if a third must take place it will take place at the pay-per-view. In the ring, Anderson hit Randy Mulkey with a Spinebuster and then tagged out to Bobby Eaton who went up top and nailed an Alabama Jam legdrop, making the cover and getting the win for Anderson and Eaton. Arn Anderson \ Bobby Eaton defeated The Mulkey Brothers in 3:37 when Bobby Eaton defeated Randy Mulkey by pinfall with an Alabama Jam. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Arn Anderson looked excellent out there. Bobby Eaton looked good out there. The 3-Way NWA World Tag Team Titles storyline has continued with this match. Arn Anderson is improving in Performance skills...=D

Gordon Solie: "Ladies and gentlemen, Bob Caudle and I are being joined here at the commentator's table by the man who will be in the main event tonight taking on Terry Funk in a Texas Street Fight. Dory, your thoughts on tonight's match?" Dory Funk, Jr.: "Gordon, it goes like this, Terry has been looking up to me since we were kids. He talks about the scraps we got into, which we did, but he twists the truth around. The truth is that mom and dad had to pull me off him. He's a coward and cowards won't admit to the truth." Gordon Solie: "Nevertheless, Dory, he will be a formidable opponent tonight." Dory Funk, Jr.: "Of course he will be. He's a Funk. But the bottom line of this interview is that tonight he was right about one thing: the better Funk will make it out alive and as the winner." =B

vs. Magnum T.A. is looking a lot better right now after getting hit with that mist a few weeks back and he headed to the ring to take on Pistol Pez Whatley. Magnum dominated the match as one would figure he would. But Pez definitely made Magnum T.A. look good. The announcers spoke of Magnum's feud with the Great Kabuki and stated they will be meeting at Souled Out! In the ring, Magnum finished off Pez with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex and a pinfall win. Magnum T.A. defeated Pez Whatley in 2:49 by pinfall with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...Magnum T.A. and Pez Whatley have pretty good chemistry, and it lifted the match. The announcing quality lifted the match. Get Gary Hart to translate this into Japanese for you. Everyone here knows that we're going to meet at Souled Out but after what you did to me I want to raise the stakes. Let's make our match a Loser Leaves Town match! =C+

vs. Not too much to say about this match. A short and sweet entertaining match for the fans here. Bob Armstrong led the match and got the pinfall on Black Bart following a Bulldog. Bob & Brad Armstrong defeated The Long Riders in 4:23 when Bob Armstrong defeated Black Bart by pinfall with a Bulldog. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...Black Bart is starting to become a little stale in his current role. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Let's go to the videotape and show the fans just what match will be the main event at Souled Out." A video tape began to play showing the history between Ric Flair and Jake Roberts. Ric Flair... This was a good matchup for the short amount of time it was given. The fans were into it, trying to cheer Windham into a victory but it was not to be as DiBiase picked up the submission win with the Million Dollar Dream. Ted DiBiase defeated Barry Windham in 5:58 by submission with a Cobra Clutch. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...The announcing quality lifted the match...=C+ Following the match, Williams and Heenan entered the ring and teamed with DiBiase stomping on Barry Windham! DiBiase was about to stuff a hundred dollar bill into Windham's mouth when out came Ricky Steamboat! Steamboat hit chops on Williams and DiBiase, clearing the ring for his friend. =C+

The cameras quickly moved to the locker room where Greg Valentine was seen bloodied and lying in a corner. Officials were standing over him asking him what happened but he didn't seem to know and didn't know who attacked him either. =B+

vs. The tag team specialist Youngblood took on the Living Legend in this matchup. Youngblood wasn't much of a contest against Zbyszko in this match and things ended when Zbyszko hit a Shoulder Breaker on Youngblood resulting in the pinfall. Larry Zbyszko defeated Jay Youngblood in 4:32 by pinfall with a Shoulder Breaker. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...Jay Youngblood could use something to freshen his character up. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost...=C+

Bob Caudle and Gordon Solie seemed genuinely surprised when Roddy Piper came out of the back and walked over. Roddy Piper: "You know I've been accused of being a lot of things in my career but one thing I've always done is attack from the front. I've been a man about those things unlike Harley Race. Harley, we both know you attacked Greg Valentine earlier. Why don't you come out here and admit it?" Roddy might be getting his wish because Harley Race walked out from the back and walked over to him. Harley Race: "If Greg Valentine is such a good friend of yours, Piper, why aren't you in the back nursing him back to health?" Roddy Piper: "I'd rather be out here making sure this doesn't happen to another friend of mine." Harley Race: "Then you need to find out who did it because it wasn't me." Roddy Piper: "Now I may have been hit in the head a few times in my career, Race, but don't try to tell me you didn't attack Greg Valentine earlier. You took his belt. Now, what? Are you trying to take his career too?" Harley Race: "I didn't steal his belt and I didn't attack him earlier. You're asking the wrong guy. If I attacked him, he'd be in the hospital right now." Harley turned as if he was going to walk away then decked Piper! Race turned and walked off with Piper staring at him and touching his lip. =B+

vs. Barely even a match worth writing about. Dusty dominated this encounter, which the fans were not into. The main memorable thing here is that it was announced that Dusty Rhodes will be taking on Kevin Sullivan at Souled Out in a First Blood match! Dusty got the pinfall following a Bionic Elbow. Dusty Rhodes defeated The Brooklyn Brawler in 2:46 by pinfall. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...Dusty Rhodes and The Brooklyn Brawler just don't click at all, and it showed in their performances. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. The performance of Dusty Rhodes stood out as being good. The Brooklyn Brawler is improving in Rumble skills...=D

Texas Street Fight! vs. Before the match, a video showed the history between the Funk Brothers. =B The actual match seemed a disappointment to the fans. They didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I thought they would. The Funks did their brawling in and out of the ring with both men being busted open in this match. Wooden chairs were used and Terry very nearly gave Dory a Piledriver on a wooden table! In the end, Dory hit the Piledriver on Terry and made the cover with Randy Anderson counting the 1-2-3 count and our show ended with Dory Funk, Jr. celebrating his victory! Dory Funk Jr. defeated Terry Funk in 13:42 by pinfall. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Randy Anderson...The announcing quality lifted the match. The Funks Explode! storyline has continued with this match...=C
OVERALL RATING: C ATTENDANCE: 4,964 TV RATING: .85

Ouch, how'd the Funk v Funk match only get a C? That and the Youngblood/Zybszko match were a surprise as to the grade. Thought you got ripped pal.
I was extremely disappointed about the Funk/Funk match, I must admit. I expected something much better for a Street Fight brawl between the two.

Thats the only way I can see the match being graded down to a C.
Dory Funk, Jr.=B+ Terry Funk=B+ MACW=C The MACW grade may be the one that brought it down some.
Maybe. Nuances of the game. Maybe they were out of nachos in the concession stand and the crowd was angry. Had it happen to me many times. Sometimes you got to just roll with it I guess. :D

You're the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and I gotta respect that. But you said something that resonated with me a little while back when you spoke about how good doesn't quite measure up. What you don't seem to be realizing is that you are looking at the dirtiest player in the game. Whoooo. The answer is that Space Mountain may be the oldest ride in the park but it still has the longest line, big man. And at Souled Out in a couple of weeks when we go one on one inside the steel cage there will be nowhere for you to run, nowhere for you to hide. We're both gonna bleed. We're both gonna sweat and we're both gonna pay the price. These two men had a short rivalry here in MACW about a month ago so the bad blood was still boiling in this match. Mr. Wrestling II started the match by backing Williams into the corner and beginning to work the arm of Dr. Death in typical face fashion with armbars and hammerlocks. Williams was able to get out and slide out of the ring and regroup with Bobby Heenan. Dr. Death slid back in after a few moments and took the advantage with his power over Mr. Wrestling II. He began a domination and didn't let up from Wrestling II. Williams wrapped Wrestling II in that famous Oklahoma Stampede and Heenan celebrated outside the ring while referee Stu Schwartz counted the academic 3 count. The music stopped as the crowd chanted 'USA, USA' and the bell sounded. Nikita turned and Rotundo was on him, whipping him across the ring and into the turnbuckle. Rotundo climbed up and hit a monkey flip on Koloff! The crowd cheered Rotundo's every move! Rotundo whipped Koloff into the ropes but Koloff held on and Rotundo's dropkick hit nothing but air! Nikita moved over quickly and stomped on the head of Rotundo again and again! He picked Rotundo up and rammed his head into the turnbuckle! He lifted Rotundo up with one arm in a body slam position and then dropped his neck on the top rope! The crowd was solidly behind the Brisco Brothers during the entrances, booing the evil team of Anderson and Eaton. The Briscos started things off hot and heavy with Jerry getting better of both Arn Anderson and Bobby Eaton in technical exchanges that featured Jerry doing an Oklahoma Roll on Anderson at one point! The crafty team of Anderson and Eaton came back, though, with a poke to the eyes of Jack Brisco after he was tagged in. They kept Jack in their own corner, focusing on his back with backbreakers and knees to the back and other various holds. At times, they managed to bring Jerry into the ring to distract the official so they could choke Jack with the tag rope. Jack made the comeback, ducking under a clothesline by Anderson and hitting one of his own, sending both men to the mat. Referee Tommy Young began the 10 count and by a count of 3 both men were stirring and trying to move toward their corners. At a count of 6 both men were so close. Anderson broke the count at 8 by making the tag. Eaton came running in just in time for Jack to tag in his brother. Jerry came in, punching Eaton and then Anderson for good measure! Jerry whipped Eaton into the corner and then climbed up, getting the crowd cheering as he punched away and the crowd counted up to 10! Jerry dropped down and Eaton staggered in the corner as Jerry set him up for a suplex. Arn Anderson slid back into the ring and clipped out Jerry Brisco's knee from under him as he lifted Eaton up! Eaton fell on top as Anderson rolled out of the ring and grabbed the tights as Tommy Young made the 3 count, oblivious to the tights being held by Bobby Eaton! Arn Anderson \ Bobby Eaton defeated The Brisco Brothers in 7:33 when Bobby Eaton defeated Jerry Brisco by pinfall with a handful of tights. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Tommy Young...Jack Brisco is starting to become a little stale in his current role. He walked over to the podium and grabbed a microphone. Roddy Piper: "Harley Race, everyone here including myself and including you know that you stole the United States Title. Not only stole the belt but attacked Greg Valentine in the locker room last week. That was going over the line. And tonight, tonight, tonight you're going to pay the Piper!" =B+ Roddy headed to the ring and Harley Race came out to cheers from the crowd. Obviously, they believe his innocence! Piper met Race as soon as he walked into the ring and the two exchanged punches with Race getting the better end of the stick, sending Piper falling to the mat and sliding out of the ring to get a breather while Race stared down at him. Once Piper got back in the ring, they locked up and Race pushed Piper back into the corner with referee Stu Schwartz looking for a clean break from the King and Race did step back from Piper cleanly. Another lock up in center ring and Race put Piper in a headlock, wrenching it in tight. He flipped Piper over onto his back and got a 2 count while still holding in the side headlock. Race continued this bit of momentum for several minutes before Piper retaliated with a poke to the eye! Piper rammed Race's head into the turnbuckle and then kicked him in the gut, following that up with a suplex that got him a 1 count. Piper continued his advantage as Greg Valentine walked out with a large bandage on his forehead, standing in Piper's corner. Piper distracted the official and Valentine got a shot in on Race with a right fist! Piper came back over and choked Race on the ropes to a 4 count, getting warned by the official. Eventually Piper locked in a reverse chinlock that nearly had Race out but Race got the crowd back into it as he began making his way to his feet. But the announcers were saying that the time limit was nearly coming to a close as Race dropped Piper with a back suplex. The referee began the ten count as Piper and Race stirred. Both men made it to their feet and exchanged punches with Race again getting the better of it! Race bodyslammed Piper hard to the mat and then lifted him up, whipping him into the ropes and hitting a high knee! The crowd cheered as Race went to the turnbuckles and climbed up, leaping off with that swandive headbutt onto Piper! It took a few moments for Race to get back to himself but he did and set up Piper for the Piledriver! Greg Valentine jumped on the apron, distracting both Race and the referee! Race let Piper go and went after Valentine, bringing him in over the top rope and to the mat. When he did that, the bell sounded for the time limit! Harley Race drew with Roddy Piper in 15:00 when the time limit expired. Road Agent NOTES: Referee=Stu Schwartz...This match lifted the crowd. Roddy Piper is improving in Rumble skills...=B+ Race mounted Valentine after the match, punching away at him as Valentine tried to cover up. Valentine was busted open by the punches behind the bandage! Piper came up behind Race, grabbing him and holding his arms back, yelling for Valentine to get up! The Hammer did slowly and began belting the gut of Race with rights and lefts and then an elbow shot to the forehead and Piper let Race fall to the mat. Piper raised Valentine's hand as the show went off the air. =B
OVERALL RATING: B ATTENDANCE: 4,855 TV RATING: 1.60
Jake reaches up and grabs Steamboat's hair, dragging him back to the ropes and shooting him off to the opposite side. Roberts drops down and Steamboat jumps over him, bouncing off the opposite side. Steamboat comes back and leap frogs over Roberts, stopping behind the Snake. Jake turns around and gets hit by a chop from Steamboat! Steamboat with a second chop! A third sends Roberts outside the ring and Steamboat poses inside to cheers from the crowd. Referee Tommy Young begins the count and Roberts slithers back in under the bottom rope at about 5. The two men circle again and move back together for a lock up but Roberts pokes Steamboat in the eyes! A few clubbing forearms by Roberts and then he pulls Steamboat into a short-arm clothesline! The Snake stomps his boots on Steamboat a couple of times before pulling him up and dropping him with a suplex. He makes a cover and gets a 2 count before Steamboat kicks out. Roberts slips behind Steamboat and locks in a reverse chinlock, pulling back on Steamboat's head and sucking away the oxygen from Steamboat's brain. He is slowly fading out and the crowd begins to clap, trying to get Steamboat back into this! Referee Tommy Young raises Steamboat's arm once and it falls. He raises it twice...and it falls. He raises it a third time...and it stays up! Steamboat gets the crowd fired up as he reaches down and pushes himself toward his feet. Roberts' eyes are wide as Steamboat gets to a vertical base and begins planting elbows into Roberts' sternum. After 3, the hold is broken and Steamboat bounces off the ropes. He ducks a clothesline and wraps his arms around Roberts' waist...GERMAN SUPLEX!! Steamboat hits a German, no bridge, all impact! Both men are down and hurt! Referee Tommy Young begins his 10 count as ted DiBiase begins walking toward the ring, laughing that dark laugh. At about 4, Steamboat begins to stir. At 7, Steamboat reaches his feet. He doesn't see DiBiase yet. Steamboat turns and begins moving toward the corner, sliding out of the ring and climbing toward the top turnbuckle. Roberts has stirred and grabs Tommy Young, distracting him! Ted DiBiase jumps on the apron and reaches toward Steamboat, pushing him off the top turnbuckle! Steamboat lands hard and Roberts quickly moves over, signalling for and dropping Steamboat with a DDT! Roberts makes the cover and he has a successful defense of his NWA World Title to end the show! Wahoo seemed slightly off to start this match with the announcers speculating it's because of the attack on his protege Mike Rotundo by the Russians. But he quickly was able to fire off some knife-edge chops on Zbyszko that sent the Legend regrouping outside the ring. Zbyszko came back inside and quickly took the advantage with a thumb to the eye and a body slam. Zbyszko immediately went to armbars to work over the shoulder area of Wahoo McDaniel and soften him up for that Shoulder Breaker. Zbyszko focused on that body part during the entire match as he took the lead and rarely seemed to lose it until the crowd really got behind Wahoo. Zbyszko had an armbar on on Wahoo at the time and Wahoo rose to his feet with the crowd's help and backed Zbyszko into a corner. He unleashed chop after chop with his good arm, reddening Zbyszko's chest. Wahoo lifted Zbyszko into a vertical suplex and dropped him hard on his back. The Native American rose to his feet and began his war dance around the ring, chopping Zbyszko down any time the Living Legend would get to his feet. Finally, Wahoo picked Zbyszko up and whipped him into the ropes but he set his head too soon and Zbyszko kicked him in the shoulder! Zbyszko moved in quickly and lifted Wahoo turning him into that Shoulder Breaker, making the cover quickly after. 1...2..3! And the Living Legend gets the win to end our show!
