Rankings Match Hugh de Aske vs Kevin Jones One of those mid-card matches that could go either way, but I fancy Jones to get the win here and start some momentum towards a Talisman title shot ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson The Hyper Extension Arm-Bar does it again Steel Cage Match Dark Angel vs ‘Wrath Of God’ Jack Giedroyc This seems to be the feud-ending match up, so traditional logic tells me to go with the 'face' ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers These two team seem to be trading the belts at the moment, and I fancy the Show Stealers to win them back Rankings Match JD Morgan vs Rolling Johnny Stones Morgan's been out of the title picture for a while and seems to be on a bit of a roll right now, where as Stones has been in something of a slump since losing the belt (he's still putting in good performances but his opponents are just that little bit better right now). ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs UK Dragon I smell a slight upset in the air , U.K Dragon seems to be 'hot' right now and in my opinion O'Curle doesn't really need another loooong reign with the belt.

Can-Am SAS can always earn a re-match by keeping themselves higher than the other teams in the rankings. ROF Fan The Flames – May 2011 Greg Gauge vs Hugh de Aske - As likely as not this may well end up a draw, but I'll go with the more available pirate to pick-up the win. ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs Can-Am SAS - I like SAS but think WoH hold the titles here in a close fought battle. Billy Robinson vs Dark Angel - Dark Alba nearly won his feud with Giedroyc, Billy didn't make the PPV last month. Danny will be a sad Demon by the end of this match. ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Don Henderson - Svensson's a good champ, Henderson's in that unhappy place above the Talisman, below being a Main Event challenger. JD Morgan vs ‘Wrath of God’ Jack Giedroyc - see below ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Rolling Johnny Stones - Stones could easily win this match but I'm going to give the nod to O'Curle since he likes to death grip the RoF Championship and that combined with a Giedroyc win revitalizes the good (if slightly stagnant) Main Event scene. Giedroyc's nearly a lock to win since he's never challenged for any RoF title.

ROF Talisman Title Nigel Svensson © vs Hugh de Aske - I like both men, but as TK said above, the Hyper-extension Armbar (likely outta nowhere) should continue the Svensson Express. ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs Can-Am SAS vs The Show Stealers - So why did an admitted fan of CASAS pick the Show Stealers? Simply really, two men I respect and like both used the word steal... and which team could be better at stealing than the Show Stealers? Kinda like WCW stole Luger from WWF for the first Nitro. Dark Angel vs Walter Morgan - That Other Morgan is like... the fifth Horseman. He's good but he's really not worthy to be a member of the Four Horsemen. And DA is like... the Great Muta to the... ok... I admit it, I'm working a Luger reference into ever prediction. 6-man Tag Robinson, Gauge & Valentine vs JD Morgan, Henderson & Jones - This pick is for Danny Demon, as Robinson picks up a meanlingless win when the So Solid Torture Rack pips the Kevin Jones' Shane Douglas Memorial Belly-to-Belly as lamest finisher in the history of RoF. Rankings Match Jack Giedroyc vs Rolling Johnny Stones - How the hell am I gonna work a Luger reference in here? Easy! Jack crashes on when Johnny Stones drops the Rolling and brings out a full length mirror and those horrible jagged cut-offs and becomes a Free Spirited Narcissist! ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs UK Dragon - Both Luger and O'Curle use submission moves. Both Luger and O'Curle fought masked men. O'Curle... UK Dragon. Luger... uh... Great Muta and the Ding Dongs. Therefore the history of Lex O'Curles overcoming masked men is well founded! (and it leads to an undeniably savoury O'Curle/Giedroyc match which everyone wants.) AND Dragon earns more frequent flyer miles than Muta ever did. *** And now I must apologize to Marcel and anyone who read this for the Lugercentric nature of my picks.

Just a couple of days before their big, first time ever match at Heat of Battle, Justin Blackham met up with Jack ‘Wrath of God’ Giedroyc to discuss his thoughts on facing ‘Celtic Crippler’ Merle O’Curle. JB: Jack, good to speak to you again. At Heat Of Battle, it would appear that your moment has come – finally you get a title shot at Merle O’Curle. JG: The Wrath of God has indeed waited a long time for this opportunity. But I was patient. He told me He would decide when the time was right to unleash the Wrath of God on the ROF Championship. And now is that time. JB: You’ve been on quite a roll of late here in ROF. Firstly you got a victory, after a few attempts, against Dark Angel; then you have beaten JD Morgan and Rolling Johnny Stones in recent months to move up the ROF rankings. JG: Indeed. I had many battles with both Clifford and Harold Wilson in my early days back in ROF. But Harold proved to be as poor at wrestling as he was at being Prime Minister of this country. And Clifford, although skilful, was eventually no match for the Wrath of God. They could not keep the Wrath of God down. Having dealt with Clifford, I have gradually been wearing down the rest of the ROF roster until now the time is upon us. ROF fans will finally see The Wrath Of God taking down Merlin The Curly and taking the ROF Championship. JB: You mean Merle O’Cu… JG: He has looked down on Merlin the Curly and He is not pleased. For Merlin is a magical name, and He frowns upon magical powers. Only He is powerful. And it is simply wrong for a man to profess to be The Curly when he has such a brazenly shaven head. Perhaps it is this lack of curls which makes Merlin such an unhappy individual – a man who never smiles and who has all the charisma of a strawberry pop-tart. JB: You must admit that he has been a dominant champion here in ROF though. It is his third run with the belt, and his first two title reigns both lasted over a year. You will be doing something nobody else has managed if you beat him at Heat Of Battle. JG: But you see The Wrath of God is like no other man, for no other man has Him on their side. Merlin The Curly does not have Him on his side. Clifford and Harold did not have Him on their side even if they know their psalms in Latin. Mick ‘Rolling Stone’ Jagger certainly does not have Him on his side, although he perhaps believes so after a long night partaking of the weed. Even my good friend JD Morgan and his younger brother Walter do not have Him on their side. At Heat of Battle Merlin The Curly will meet his match. And Merlin will be defeated for the ROF Championship cleanly in the centre of the ring. The Wrath of God will smite the shaven-headed, permanently-frowning, magically-powerful strawberry pop tart into the fires of hell. It shall be done!
______________________________ Rankings Match Can-Am SAS vs High And Low A rarity for PPV – a tag match not over the tag titles. Can-Am SAS have been constant tag title challengers, as well as becoming champions, over the past twelve months. High And Low were a somewhat forgotten team in ROF, but have recently begun climbing the tag ranks again with strong performances on Cauldron. Can they translate that form to PPV and grab a win over the Can-Am SAS, or will the Style and Submission team prove too strong for them? Rankings Match Don Henderson vs Greg Gauge These men were on opposing teams in the 6-man last month, with Henderson’s team winning. Now they meet in singles action, with the aim to elevate themselves in the ROF rankings towards another Talisman title shot. Henderson has a Cauldron victory over Kashmir Singh this month, whilst Gauge has not been available for any ROF shows since last month’s PPV. The fans are sure to be behind Henderson, but will that be enough to help him get the job done against the talented and innovative Gauge? Rankings Match Dark Angel vs JD Morgan Dark Angel has made it clear that he sees JD Morgan as the next obstacle on his path towards the top of ROF. Apart from the fact that Morgan is a strong main eventer here in ROF, he also allied himself with Jack Giedroyc when Dark Angel arrived. Since then, Angel has managed to beat Morgan once on Cauldron, but wants the chance now to do so again on the big PPV. Morgan will certainly not roll over. The Dean of Submissions wants another ROF title shot, and a win over Dark Angel would keep him up near the top of the rankings. ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers The Warriors are once again proving durable champions. Meanwhile, the Show Stealers may be thinking that they’re never going to get their belts back. A win over Can-Am SAS on Cauldron has cemented their place as the team to get this title shot, but they have failed on two occasions to win back the tag titles. Have they got anything more to give, or will the Warriors once again prove too strong and retain? Rankings Match Billy Robinson vs Rolling Johnny Stones With many other wrestlers otherwise engaged, Billy Robinson has spotted an opportunity to make a move in the ROF rankings. He faces Rolling Johnny Stones here, who has failed to win on any of the last 5 ROF PPV events. The former champion might be in a bit of a rut, and ‘So Solid’ plans to take advantage. However Robinson himself is coming off a loss to UK Dragon on this week’s Cauldron. Giedroyc has impressed since entering ROF fully last year, and recent wins over Dark Angel, JD Morgan and Rolling Johnny Stones have established himself as a bona fide number one contender. O’Curle though has again looked dominant as champion. Can-Am SAS vs High And Low High and Low isn't even on the title picture radar at this point Don Henderson vs Greg Gauge Luger sets up his 1000th shot at the Talisman title. Dark Angel vs JD Morgan This will end around either UK Dragon or O'Curle, but the Dean will test the faith of the Dark Angel. ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers I guess the opponents and the Warriors retain, so this time I will guess the champs, and they will probably lose. ;) Billy Robinson vs Rolling Johnny Stones RJS final punishment, putting over the streaky blonde, (and I don't just mean his hair! :p ) ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Jack Giedroyc The Celtic god of wrestling faces His Apostle of Wrath. Can-Am SAS vs High And Low Whilst I think the Tag scene needs a bit of a shake up at the top end, I can't see it coming from perennial middle-tier tandem High and Low Don Henderson vs Greg Gauge Henderson seems to be a step ahead in these non pressure engagements Dark Angel vs JD Morgan Dark Angel's run wont end until he is challenging for the title ROF Tag Team Titles Warriors of Honour © vs The Show Stealers Warriors to retain. I think you'll keep the belts on the Warriors for the forseeable future, until some new challengers outside of the Showstealers or Can-Am SAS have been built up. Billy Robinson vs Rolling Johnny Stones Sorry Mr Demon, but Stones has been punished enough and his slump ends here. Robinson's in that same sort of level as Don Henderson and even Walter Morgan of valuable long-term members of the roster, that probably wont win the big one whilst more lustrious names are around at the top of the card. ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Jack Giedroyc Giedroyc will do enough for a re-match but I just can't see him beating O'Curle in his first try.
