Cool Breeze vs High and Low Cool Breeze have been on a good roll of late, but they've just had their shot at the titles, that being said it was only one shot , so I expect them to get another chance. Seraphym vs ??? I'm at a complete loss to who the mystery opponent could be but...... 1. They're making their debut or possible come-back (as there are a few names you could bring back from the past) at a PPV. 2. Their opponent is a lower mid-card lackey. JD Morgan vs Rolling Johnny Stones Stones has the more long term main event future and I just feel that this year has so far been the gradual demotion of JD towards the mid-card. ROF Tag Team Titles Red Mafia © vs Can-Am SAS There's just something about Red Mafia that just says dominance, maybes it's the fact that one of them is over 7ft Tall and weighs about 500 Ibs. One question who have been your longest reigning tag team champions and how far to go before Red Mafia eclipse their reign ? Don Henderson vs Walter Morgan I feel the draw last monthwas just something to help cushion the fall Morgan might take in having to put over Henderson. This time Henderson gets the job done and he secures his spot in the Main Event secure, thus effectively becoming 2012's anwswer to Walter Morgan himself. ROF Championship Jack Giedroyc © vs Dark Angel The odd's are so stacked against Dark Angel, that like D-Mack said I think he'll somehow find a way to win and end Giedroyc's impressive run at the top. ____________________________________________________________ As for Billy Robinson I suppose you are playing percentages to see how he recovers from his injury, on whether or not to strip him of the Talisman Belt. Stripping him of the belt might not be a bad thing.....Billy still looks main event ready by not actually losing to anyone (on his comeback he can say he has his sights set on a bigger prize) and you could have something like an 8 Man tournament to crown a new champion for the Talisman belt, perhaps put a few upper-carders on the way down into the mix. I'm probably thinking a little too far ahead, as Billy's injury might not be all that serious. But I'm just saying that if you did have to strip him of the Talisman belt, it would be an opportunity to turn a negative situation into a positive one.
One question who have been your longest reigning tag team champions and how far to go before Red Mafia eclipse their reign ?
Well, seeing as you didn't ask for it, here's the complete history of the ROF tag titles. Longest reigns in terms of months they held the belts were The Shooters (3rd reign) and Warriors of Honour (1st reign) back in the earlier days of the diary, who both held the belts for 9 months. Since then, the tag division has seen greater competition and the belts have shifted more regularly. Red Mafia are currently on a 5 month reign. ROF Tag Team Titles The Wigan Bulldogs Aug 05 – Nov 05 The Show Stealers Nov 05 – Feb 06 The Shooters Feb 06 – Apr 06 The Show Stealers (2) Apr 06 – Aug 06 The Shooters (2) Aug 06 – Nov 06 Absolutely Flawless Nov 06 – Mar 07 Future X Mar 07 – Nov 07 The Shooters (3) Nov 07 – Aug 08 Warriors of Honour Aug 08 – May 09 High And Low May 09 – Jun 09 Burning EXILE & Greg Gauge Jun 09 – Jul 09 VACANT Jul 09 G-Force Aug 09 – Jan 10 Warriors of Honour (2) Jan 10 – Jul 10 Can-Am SAS Jul 10 – Oct 10 The Show Stealers (3) Oct 10 – Mar 11 Warriors of Honour (3) Mar 11 – Sep 11 High and Low (2) Sep 11 – Nov 11 Red Mafia Nov 11 -
As for Billy Robinson I suppose you are playing percentages to see how he recovers from his injury, on whether or not to strip him of the Talisman Belt.
A lot of your thoughts are pretty much right on the money. Billy has a back injury which, whilst not one of the major career threatening ones, is at least relatively serious. So the title will have to be stripped. But I didn't want to rush something last minute for this PPV, and had enough to fall back on by adding the mystery person match instead.
15,000 views! Congrats! :D
Many thanks. I'm keeping on your tail D-Mack! We've been running our diaries on similar posts and views for months now! :)

By the looks of things, this the first time ROF's momentum as a promotion under your book, has sort of hit the buffers. The Cauldron's were generally poorer this month and the Pay Per View was the most disappointing for a long time, though that was more down to the near on disastrous (by your now lofty standards) main event. So it'll be interesting to see if you can put things back on track and get it back to the heights of quality you were hitting for most of the year. I also think that in terms of the return you are getting for their investment Dark Angel has been a bit of a disappointment, he's not been disastrous but you've been getting on average better match ratings out of most of your other main eventers. Kind of reminds me of a when certain head band wearing ex PGHW star joined BHOTWG and then didn't really deliver the goods. ;) Early thoughts on the Talsiman Title tournament, is that one of the usual suspects (Svensson, De Aske, Jones) wont win it (as it's an ideal opportunity to establish a new holder of the Talisman Belt) but they could well be involved in the final. My feeling is that either Lister or Matravers to win the tournament.

It's interesting that Giedroyc and Angel, of all my main eventers, put on the weakest match, given they're the 2 most internationally recognisable and most valuable commodities to other promotions. You're right about Angel - it's one of those head-scratchers. His stats suggest he should at least equal the other main eventers, but his match performances don't. It can't all be down to his fatigue levels. Talisman Tournament - well, let's just say that you and I seem to be on the same wavelength as regards much of my booking! So you'll have to see if you're on the money this time! :D

I hit the same thing in my diary for a while too, where all the ratings were about the same and getting average at best on show ratings. I don't know whether it is a function of not enough heat in storyline buildup, or just too much of the same old thing. Sometimes something new doesn't work immediately (as witness to Gumble's initial entrance in my diary). At times like that, I kind of just go back to the matches I know have good chemistry to get back on track.

Sometimes, on the other hand, it's essential to fire Jonathan Faust' useless ass.

On the other hand, Hugh de Aske is a little lower in the rankings and has suffered defeats recently both in the Talisman tournament and to Merle O’Curle on Cauldron. The Eliminator is a 6-man match, the like of which has never been seen before in Ring of Fire. All 6 men – the top 6 men in the ROF rankings - will begin in the ring at the same time, but the ring will be surrounded by 5 small cages. The aim of the match is to force your opponents into one of the small cages and close the door on them. But to be eliminated, they must remain inside that cage with the door closed for 10 seconds, whereupon a timed lock will be activated and that wrestler will be eliminated from the match (though forced to watch the proceedings continue). The final man standing in the ring at the end will be declared the winner and ROF champion. There appears to be nowhere for the champion to run here. Has Samurai ensured that Angel’s ROF title reign will end almost as soon as it has begun? ______________________________ ROF Fan The Flames – May 2012 Louis Figo Manico & Warriors of Honour vs Seraphym & Hell Above ROF Talisman Title Tournament Final ‘Mile High’ Adam Matravers vs ‘The Real Deal’ Chris Lister ROF Tag Team Titles Red Mafia © vs High and Low Hugh de Aske vs Rolling Johnny Stones ROF Championship – The Eliminator Dark Angel © vs Don Henderson vs Jack Giedroyc vs Merle O’Curle vs UK Dragon vs Walter Morgan

ROF Fan The Flames – May 2012 Louis Figo Manico & Warriors of Honour vs Seraphym & Hell Above - Because I love Figo. BritSam owns the company. And Matravers seems to have underperformed so far. ROF Tag Team Titles Red Mafia © vs High and Low - High n' Low are on a roll, but while the Red Mafia have seemed vulnerable I don't think the Johnnis win it yet. Hugh de Aske vs Rolling Johnny Stones - Something suggests Hugh's slump continues and RJS has proven his worth and works back into contention. And I suspect that this won't be an American Gladiators Match. Which, is too damn bad really. But I still WANT the almost man of RoF to finally taste the gold. These sorts of matches are perfect chances to hot-shot titles. So I'm going to pick Walter because I really just want him to win.
