He followed that up with a second victory over the English Adonis at Light Up The Night to prove that his opening salvo was no fluke. Now DBF faces a new opponent, but one who is no stranger to Talisman gold. Petey Barnes won a triple threat contenders match on Cauldron last week by beating Joey Beauchamp and Sergei Kalashnov and now gets his chance to become a 3-time Talisman champion. Both of these men are popular with fans and skilled in the ring. But who will be called champion? 6-man Tag Elimination Team ‘Wrath’ vs Team ‘God’ Rod ‘The God’ Todd has spent the last several months interfering in Jack Giedroyc’s business, and most recently has said that he is in control of Giedroyc’s career and destiny. He ‘allowed’ himself to be eliminated by Giedroyc at King of the Ring, giving Giedroyc the Light Up The Night title shot. But Todd then interjected himself in that match, costing Giedroyc a chance at the gold. Now the two men meet again, but this time in an elimination 6-man tag. Both Todd and Giedroyc have been told to find allies. Who will the two men bring on board, and will The God once again go some way to proving his control over The Wrath? Don Henderson vs Walter Morgan These two skilled technicians and ROF originals meet in a match that will determine one of the participants in the annual 4-way Championship match at Pyromania to end the year. Henderson is still striving to make that final step to greatness and become ROF champion for the first time. This should be a great match between two men who have enormous respect for one another. And their position has been helped by the splitting up of other teams such as Warriors of Honour. However opportunity is knocking for someone and that someone is Reborn Romeos. The team of Casey Valentine and Lance Martin have been impressive ever since debut and surprised ROF fans with their skills. They have never won the tag titles though, despite having the best ROF tag bout in history against Warriors of Honour earlier in the year. Will this be their time, or does Nova’s Classic Element really have a tag stranglehold now? Louis Figo Manico vs Rolling Johnny Stones This is another qualifying match for next month’s Pyromania ROF Championship 4-way. The ageing Spanish Superstar may see this as his last chance at glory but he faces stiff competition in Rolling Johnny Stones, who has had a really good win/loss record in 2014 without managing to win back the ROF title…yet. Despite their standing in UK wrestling, these two giants of the wrestling scene have never met in a singles match – a fact that has made this the most hotly anticipated battle in ROF history. Add to that the fact that ‘The Complete Package’ is aligned with Jeff Nova’s Classic Element and is going up against the ‘Celtic Crippler’, who is a real ROF man, and it adds an extra intrigue into proceedings. O’Curle has, without doubt, been the most dominant force in ROF history. But Nova wants to alter history and sees Thompson as the man in his stable who can get the job done, especially after he defeated Walter Morgan (who wrestles in a similar style to O’Curle) at Light Up The Night. Will we see a Classic Element victory or can O’Curle once again prove he is the main man in ROF? ______________________________ ROF Napalm Nightmare – November 2014 ROF Talisman Title DBF © vs Petey Barnes 6-man Tag Elimination Team ‘Wrath’ vs Team ‘God’ Don Henderson vs Walter Morgan ROF Tag Team Titles The Classic Element © vs Reborn Romeos Louis Figo Manico vs Rolling Johnny Stones ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Joss Thompson

ROF Napalm Nightmare – November 2014 ROF Talisman Title DBF © vs Petey Barnes Can't see DBF dropping the belt at this stage, especially to someone who's been there done it with the Talisman Title. I can't see Petey ever going beyond this level but he provides the veteran legitimacy to the belt with his previous reigns. DBF on the other hand could use a good run to build his own reputation in ROF. 6-man Tag Elimination Team ‘Wrath’ vs Team ‘God’ I reckon that Giedroyc will choose the Can-Am SAS as his partners, whilst Rod will brainwash the Elimination Agents to side with him. Despite having the advantage on paper, with those teamings, I see Team God pulling out the victory. Don Henderson vs Walter Morgan This could easily go either way. After actually having a title reign in his past I see Morgan as the slightly more legitimate title threat, than McLugar, so with that logic I'll stump for the Wigan Bull-Dog ROF Tag Team Titles The Classic Element © vs Reborn Romeos It's a bit strange to see the Romeo's in the role of de-facto faces, but I see them just coming up short here, as the Classic Element begin to place a stranglehold on the titles. Louis Figo Manico vs Rolling Johnny Stones Even though I've stated earlier that the Fig would probably be on his way down, I feel that you will show some respect to the great run he had with the belt earlier in the year and have earn a spot in the Pyromania 4-way and give him that one last shot at winning back the ROF Title. ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Joss Thompson I see this match having possibly the most controversial finish in ROF history. Jeff Nova will definately stick his oar in, and cost O'Curle the title, but I could see the finish being so unsportsmanslike and against the ideals of ROF, that the title will be end up being 'held up' going into Pyromania.

ROF Napalm Nightmare – November 2014 ROF Talisman Title DBF © vs Petey Barnes - What you're doing there Petey, is treading water. Sorry but DBF is fresher and currently 'better' than the Ex-Factor. 6-man Tag Elimination Team ‘Wrath’ vs Team ‘God’ - Hello! God's on one team! In this year of the RoF SWERVE Todd wins it either through cheating or by buying off one of the 'Wrath' members. Byron better be on this show... and likely on one of these teams. Don Henderson vs Walter Morgan - Just for Dragonmack, MackLugar picks up the win keeping the 'master of the multiman match' on the outside looking in. ROF Tag Team Titles The Classic Element © vs Reborn Romeos - I want the Romeos to win but TCE need the titles more to cement their 'dominant faction' in RoF. Louis Figo Manico vs Rolling Johnny Stones - RJS continues to roll while Figo is reviled by the RoF crowd for... OMG speaking Spanish. (Or Portugese :P ) ROF Championship Merle O’Curle © vs Joss Thompson - A very hard call. So hard. I've decided not to pick. I think the ref throws it out when Nova intereferes and O'Curle and Thompson opt to try to behead one another with weapons rather than submission holds. Meaning both with be on even footing heading in to the four-way match.
By the way, where is the Robinson-Stoat rematch?
Erm...missed out due to time constraints! With the Giedroyc vs Todd feud in need of continuing, and my wish to add 2 qualifying matches for the Pyromania 4-way to the card (to make that seem more important), I just couldn't fit Robinson vs Stoat II in. All these damn storylines. Honestly, next time I'll pick a fed that doesn't need them. Oh, wait a minute... You can be assured that Robinson vs Stoat II will be a part of the Pyromania end of year show. :D

It's just that they pretty much stick to the same 6 match format, give or take a few variations such as the King of the Ring match, when usually the card gets reduced to 4 matches. Looking at much of ROF's workers stats back in 2007, none of your main men such as Morgan, Henderson or even O'Curle have what I call tremendous stamina levels, though I'm sure they must have improved on their cardio over the years and I'm guessing that any non wrestling time is pretty minimal (I'm guessing perhaps the odd hype vid before the main event and that's about it). So I'd be surprised if your answer is that the Pay Per Views are more than 2 Hours long.

I do stretch a couple of them to 2 hours if the stamina levels of participants in key matches allow it. But basically I keep the show length (and match numbers) constant a) because of the low stamina levels you mentioned, b) because I don't have space on my newsletter page for more than 6 matches, and c) because I'm a creature of habit! As for non-wrestling time...I very rarely use it at all - maybe a couple of minutes hype here and there, usually if I've made the PPV 2 hours long. On an hour and a half, its usually all matches, which last between 12 and 16 minutes normally.

Todd has maintained that he is the one in control of Giedroyc’s destiny and career – ‘The God’ for which Giedroyc is the Wrath. Last month at Napalm Nightmare, Todd once again struck Giedroyc down in 6-man tag team action. Their feud comes to a head now at Pyromania, with the stipulation that the loser must renounce their ‘gimmick’. Either Giedroyc will stop being The Wrath of God, or Todd will have to give up his ‘God’ persona. Or will Giedroyc simply turn into Todd’s disciple, as some ROF fans have forecast? Byron held the belt through much of the year, defending against all-comers before losing to Daniel Black Francis at King of the Ring. DBF then defended successfully against both Byron and Petey Barnes at subsequent PPVs. Now the Pyromania 4-way includes both current champ DBF and former champ Byron, as well as 2 other former Talisman champions (and former tag partners) in Barnes & Matravers. Matravers entry has come a little out of the blue – he hasn’t challenged for this belt (or any in ROF) in a long while, ever since losing a ‘no title match for 6 months’ stipulation bout with Barnes a long time ago. But it seems Jeff Nova wanted a Classic Element entry in this match and so Matravers could end up with the gold. Their partnership collapsed back at Inferno when Stoat super-kicked the argumentative Robinson and since then they have collided both in the battle royal of King of the Ring, and at the Light Up The Night PPV, when the two men fought to a no-contest. Now we get the chance to see who the better man really is. Both of these men are fine athletes who feel a win here will break them into the main event picture where they feel they belong. Last month’s title match may have been a disappointment from a wrestling standpoint, but it did prove O’Curle’s superiority in singles action over the Classic Element member. But how will the champion fare here in the elimination rules match? Last year O’Curle was taken out due to the numbers game, although Thompson must also be wary of that happening to him here based on the growing animosity between the ROF mainstays and the Classic Element. Walter Morgan is known throughout ROF for being a major force in multi-man matches, and Rolling Johnny Stones is in good form and cannot be discounted either. However my feeling is that Matravers will get eliminated first, as the other 3 team up to take him out (continuing a bad night for The Classic Element), Byron will then immediately turn on Petey, taking the silver haired high flier out of the equation. That leaves the last two champions to battle it out, where I feel DBF will once again get the better of Byron to retain the title. Billy Robinson vs Stevie Stoat I don't think Billy R's draw with O'Curle will be for nothing, and to me that seems like an indicator that you could be about to pull the trigger on a main event push for the one time Shooter. ROF Championship 4-way Elimination Merle O’Curle © vs Joss Thompson vs Rolling Johnny Stones vs Walter Morgan For me Stones is the one added to make up the numbers, he has a chance of winning but for me it's slim and I see him heading back up the ramp first. Morgan and O'Curle will then work together to try and eliminate Joss Thompson, but the Classic Element member will take advantage of miscommunication and eliminate O'Curle, ensuring a second title change of the night. That leaves Morgan to fly the flag for ROF, Nova will interfere but he'll end up costing Thompson the match, as Walter PPK picks up his second ROF Championship and The Classic Element leave Pyromania empty handed and in crisis. The 'Thanks for your Efforts' 20-man Battle Royal (pre-show) British Samurai, Chris Lister, Dan Judoka, Don Henderson, Eric Future, Hugo Garrido, Jacques DuPont, JD Morgan, Joey Beauchamp, Johnny Highspot, Jonni Lowlife, Keith Adams, Kevin Jones, K'Lee Hawkins, Leo Price, Louis Figo Manico, Pierre DuPont, Roberto Milano, Sergei Kalashnov, Wade Awesome With Samurai, Henderson, Morgan and Manico in there it might be a bit unwise to go with the still very much unproven Awesome but your rookie reports always favoured him and it might be time to give him a bigger role. ROF Tag Team Titles 4-way Elimination The Classic Element © vs Can-Am SAS vs Pure Quality vs Reborn Romeos While I would like to see the Romeos with the belts, the Classic Element have pretty much just won the belts so there is no reason for them to lose them already. Loser Must Renounce Their Gimmick Jack Giedroyc vs Rod ‘The God’ Todd This is a tough one but Rod has debuted with this gimmick fairly recently while the WoG-Gimmick might finally have run its course. Let's face it, Giedroyc has been around for years and what has he got to show for it? One run with the belt. It might be time for him to evolve. ROF Talisman Title 4-way Elimination DBF © vs Adam Matravers vs Byron vs Petey Barnes Barnes' and Matravers' runs were pretty lacklustre and Byron should probably move up the card. That leaves DBF who has been a great champ so far. No reason to change. Billy Robinson vs Stevie Stoat This storyline of them teaming up, failing to win any gold and fighting has been going on for a year game-time. It's time to finish it and have Robinson try to get into the main event again. ROF Championship 4-way Elimination Merle O’Curle © vs Joss Thompson vs Rolling Johnny Stones vs Walter Morgan Merle is a legend who will always make a good champ. But there is really not that much left to do for him with the belt. The Classic Element is not quite ready for supremacy and RJS' attitude might prevent him from ever having another run at the top. That leaves Walter Morgan, the dark horse in this match but at the same time a proven champion. Why not give him another run?

ROF Pyromania – December 2014 - by this point a one-armed drummer in a rocking chair sounds apt The 'Thanks for your Efforts' 20-man Battle Royal (pre-show) British Samurai, Chris Lister, Dan Judoka, Don Henderson, Eric Future, Hugo Garrido, Jacques DuPont, JD Morgan, Joey Beauchamp, Johnny Highspot, Jonni Lowlife, Keith Adams, Kevin Jones, K'Lee Hawkins, Leo Price, Louis Figo Manico, Pierre DuPont, Roberto Milano, Sergei Kalashnov, Wade Awesome Name your winner! Give Lil Sexy Kev this one! ROF Tag Team Titles 4-way Elimination The Classic Element © vs Can-Am SAS vs Pure Quality vs Reborn Romeos - The Romeos have done the impossible... being hateable heels AND making a Martin Twin relevant. Reward Casey Valentine for the heavy lifting AND for not doing an angle with a pregnant Peter Valentine! Loser Must Renounce Their Gimmick Jack Giedroyc vs Rod ‘The God’ Todd - Wrath of God is a Poxian creation, Rod just got his God back so I think Jack needs to reinvent himself... as Jack 'the Jesus' Todd... only unbegotten son of Rod. If Jack does win... it will be when Rod permits it. Yes, this storyline continues. :D ROF Talisman Title 4-way Elimination DBF © vs Adam Matravers vs Byron vs Petey Barnes - Mild High does nothing for me. Petey was equally lack-lustre. Byron deserves better things. DBF is new to RoF, new to the title and JUST got interviewed by that sexy MFer. Billy Robinson vs Stevie Stoat - Gah! I can't do it. I think Billy R might win. But I can't in good conscience vote for him when he's one superkick away from going back to shooting on the apron! Tigerkinney would call this a heart vs. head decision. I pick Heart. ROF Championship 4-way Elimination Merle O’Curle © vs Joss Thompson vs Rolling Johnny Stones vs Walter Morgan - Right when the Classic Element seem to be having an abyssmal night... I'm sad to see this diary might become obselete with 2008. It's like reading Bizarro world with guys like Remo getting jobbed out and Walter Morgan and Merle O'Curle are on top. My suggestion is to start over with TEW 2008 and recreate Bizarro World once again! Just once though I would've liked to see Merle O'Curle squash BLZ Bubb.
Damned those computer games taking you away from real life... Congrats - and I'm glad O'Curle went out on top.
Thanks. I changed plan when I was deciding to end it. Originally the plan was for the Classic Element to win all 3 belts by the end of Pyromania. But the fact that Joss Thompson was struggling a bit (especially having bad chemistry with O'Curle) allied to the fact that I decided to finish up when I did, meant that O'Curle ended on top - where he belongs.

BAH GAWD! I can't believe that the newsletter is finally over. I'm hoping there will be a return for '08 in one promotion or another. ROF always looked like crap to me, but you made it a promotion I loved reading about. Awesome job on the last show, and I can't wait for the inevitable return of Wez Blooze!

Waaaaaaaaaaah! It's over! Comrade O'Curle deserved to go out on top. See, I would have called that one right if you weren't such a coward. Leave the readers wondering where the hell RoF could have gone with a new champion. A fantastic run Monsieur Fromage. The Camenbert salutes you! Bravo!

The Newsletter format was ingenius and things like the out of ring interviews got the wrestlers 'characters' over outside the ring without going away from the pure wrestling product of ROF.
