Hartlepool United Football Club are proud to unveil Joe Griffin as their new first team manager. Ken Hodcroft: We are ecstatic at getting young manager Joe Griffin into our club. He has a wealth of experience in regional football and we expect him to make the step up to league management quite well. Joe Griffin: Well, what can I say I'm glad to be here. First off my goal for the season is promotion to league one. I hope we can play some good football and excite the fans here at Victoria Park.
With that I was whisked off for photos for the local papers. OOC: I am disappointed that not enough people signed up for the GDS dynasty but I said I'd do one anyway and here it is. I chos eHartlepool because well there Jeff Stelling's team and he's a legend. Don't expect much from the creative end of the dynasty as I'm not very creative or articulate. I'll basically post the match highlights and news and signings and such. I'll post the league results and what not.

Hartlepool controlled the game for long periods and were deserving of the three points. Up next for United is another home game against new boys Accrington.

A good goal by the Aussie, Porter, won the game. Hartlepool will need to improve if they hope to gain promotion. Next up is a big game against fellow promotion hopefuls Grimsby away from home.

An even game that was turned on it's head in the last 10 minutes. Dissapointed that I finished the game with 9 men. Needless to say I was pissed that we collapsed in the last couple of minutes. Up next we go play Mansfield then to Hillsborough for the league cup first round against Sheffield Wednesday.

A man of the match performance by keeper Carl Muggleton kept Mansfield in it and Barker headed in after a rare Mansfield attack. Up next is the cup.

A brace from Jon Daly was enough for 'pool. It was a poor game in truth but Hartlepool fans won't care. Up next in the league is Barnet while Hartlepool have been given a plum tie in the second round of the cup, home to Bolton.

Daly is scoring for fun I see 4 goals in 5 and I'm pretty sure he's gonna be ur main man of this season. Sods law says something will happen to him so you got a back-up lined up ready? Did someone else get goals in your pre-season friendlies? Biggest slumps I've had are when my main striker suffers an injury and can't regain his form when he returns.
