Deuce & Domino vs. The Major Brothers Ric Flair vs. M.V.P (United States Title) Unless you are thinking Flair will retire soon and you are wanting to give him one last push and go out with a bang, but I have a feeling that is going to be a while more yet, so this day MVP wins I think Chavo Guerrero vs. Mistico vs. Rey Mysterio I can see somehow Mistico and Rey Rey costing each other the win here, Just a side note, I think involving the Cruiserweight Title could make this storyline even more interesting Kane vs. Mark Henry (WHC elimination match) Has to be a Face vs Heel Final and that Face won't be Kane Chris Jericho vs. Finlay (WHC elimination match) See Above I've been reading your diary for a while now but I've only recently signed up onto the forums and I must say this is one of the most interesting diaries out there! keep up the good work!!

Wrestling News and Notes WWE.com reported that Snitsky has been released, we assume this has something to do with him not wanting to go back to development. Word from WWE is that the door is still open for a return sometime in the future. News from the Smackdown taping: The dark matches were: Joey Mercury def Kenny Dykstra via the Full Effect and Charlie Haas def Jimmy Wang Yang via the Haastruction. Brent Albright faced Shelton Benjamin in a taped match, this is the first use of WWE’s working agreement with ROH. Speaking of the ROH deal, Austin Aries who was signed to a WWE contract Monday, will be put straight onto the ECW roster and will be managed by Shelly Martinez, who has been called up from OVW. No news on any gimmicks or feuds as yet. Yesterday at the ROH weekly house show Jay Brisco was injured and will be out for around a month with a serious concussion. However after he recovers, there should be no lasting effects and we’re assured he will be better than even upon return.
OOC: Thanks for the predictions and kind comments, I've been very busy lately going interstate among other things but don't worry Smackdown will be up soon (I know I've said that before! ;) )
J.B.L: Thanks Cole, tonight we have M.V.P vs. the legendary Ric Flair in a match for the United States Championship! That’s my personal favourite. Cole: Yes, that will be a great match. I’m looking forward to seeing Chavo Guerrero vs. the returning Rey Mysterio vs. the debuting Mistico! **Cole & J.B.L are interrupted by the music of the NEW World Heavyweight Champion Batista** Cole: Now we’re going to be hearing from our new champion Batista! **Batista walks down to the ring with a microphone in his hand, while the crowd goes nuts** Batista: What a great day to be in Texas! What a great day to be champion! However, I do want to ask Chris Jericho to come to the ring because I’m puzzled why he chose to help me during my match against Khali. J.B.L: Yes, I’d also like to hear from the man who will soon be crushed by the Great Khali. **Despite being called out by Batista, Y2J doesn’t appear** Batista: Chris, I’d really appreciate it if you came out here. Even though I didn’t need your help, I’d like to find out why you helped me. **After a long wait, Y2J’s music hits and he appears at the entrance ramp.** Jericho: Welcome to Friday Night Jericho! And I am the highlight of the night! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Chris Jericho and I am your saviour, your knight in shining armour. ** Batista seems unimpressed by Jericho’s words but lets him continue hoping to get an answer** Jericho: I’m told people want to know why I hit the Great Monkey with a chair to cost him the world title, and also why did I help out He-Man over there to win it. Batista: **Slightly angry** Well, why did you? It was an odd way to return. Jericho: Well Junior, I see you as an easier opponent than Mr. Frankenstein. That’s all, I’m after the World Title and I think I can beat you! **Before Batista can respond, The Great Khali comes out accompanied by Ranjin Singh.** Khali: Batissta, Cwiss Jerwico **the rest of Khali’s speech is in Hindi, so we need too get Ranjin Singh to translate** Singh: Batista, Jericho, The Great Khali has some news for you both. As he is the former champion, Khali has a rematch clause. Which he will use at Unforgiven! **turning to Jericho** Sorry Chris, but the Great Khali comes first. Batista: That’s fine, I’ll take you on anytime, anyplace and in any match! **Khali goes to respond but is interrupted by the music of Smackdown GM Theodore Long** Mr. Long: Hold up there playa’s, I got a little news of my own about the World Heavyweight title. Jericho: We’re all ears baldy, give the people what they want: Jericho vs. Batista. Mr. Long: Hold on Mr. Jericho, at Unforgiven it will be Batista vs. The Great Khali vs. the winner of a World Title elimination tournament to begin tonight and finish up next week. **Crowd Pops** Now tonight’s matches are: Chris Jericho vs. Finlay and Kane vs. Mark Henry, and the winners will face off next week on Smackdown. **The crowd pops as Smackdown going to the break with Batista smiling, Khali yelling at Batista and Jericho looking p*ssed!** Shelton Benjamin (w/ Charlie Haas) vs. Brent Albright This was a match to make Shelton look good, although Albright isn’t completely squashed. In spite of the great chemistry these guys have, the crowd just wasn’t into the match. Shelton ending up with the win via the T-Bone suplex. After the match Benjamin & Haas stood in the middle of the ring and motioned that the WWE Tag Team titles will soon be around their waists. Your Winner: Shelton Benjamin Match Duration: 4:52 Match Rating: C- When Smackdown comes back from the break, Chris Masters is in the ring. It looks like we’re going to have a Masterlock Challenge. Masters: Last Sunday at Summerslam, Kane used dirty tactics to beat me. Cole: What?! Masters is the guy who likes to use dirty tactics! J.B.L: Relax Cole, He’s just embarrassed that Kane beat him at Summerslam, his ego got hurt. Masters: Anyway, It’s time for another loser in the back to try and break my Masterlock. **The wrestler who will try to break the hold is…Shannon Moore, who makes his way to the ring** Masters: Are you ready to face the unbreakable Masterlock? **Shannon Moore nods** J.B.L: There is no chance in hell that Moore is going to break the Masterlock! **Masters gets behind Shannon Moore, then he locks in the Masterlock. Moore struggles for about thirty seconds before losing consciousness. Masters then throws down the limp body of Shannon Moore, before grabbing a microphone** Masters: See how easy that was? I challenge that little weakling Kane to face me again, cause I’m going to make you bleed. Just like I did at Summerslam. **Masters taunting is interrupted by the pyro and music of Kane, who begins to run towards the ring. Masters however doesn’t feel like confronting Kane just yet, and escapes through the crowd** Deuce & Domino vs. The Major Brothers After drawing with the WGTT at Summerslam, Deuce & Domino needed to get the win against the young Majors. Bret and Brian pushed the tag champs to the limit and made it hard for them, even getting a near fall. At the seven minute mark Deuce and Domino capitalised when Brian Major made a rookie mistake by going up top once too many times, picking up the win after hitting the Crack ’em in the Mouth while the referee was distracted by Cherry. Noble: Yeah I do. Super Crazy, we’ve had a good run of matches lately and I think we should make this into a best of five series. Now I know I’m up 2 wins to 1, but I’m going to make this interesting by putting up my Cruiserweight Title as an incentive for you. I’ll be lookin’ forward to your answer. Kristal: Wow. I hope Super Crazy accepts, Back to you guys. Cole: Thanks Kristal, what a match that would be. I’m betting Super Crazy will agree to the best of five series. J.B.L: No question about it Cole, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the fourth match next week on Smackdown, so that Unforgiven will be the decider. This put the champ off his game in the early going, allowing Flair to gain control by working the legs. Halfway through the match though a rake of the eyes by MVP gets the US champ in control. This led to Porter going out of his way to taunt Hardy on the outside which led to the end of the match… an angry Matt Hardy entering the ring and hitting the Twist of Fate, leaving the referee with no choice but to hand MVP the victory via DQ. After the match Matt Hardy again apologises to Ric Flair as MVP walks up the ramp gloating and holding the title above his head. Mistico takes control early with some suicidal acrobatics which really excite the crowd. Rey is able to control the middle of the match engaging in a game of one upmanship with Mistico, seemingly forgetting about the third man in the match. Around 15 minutes in Mistico hit the 450 splash on Mysterio but before he could cover Rey, he was grabbed and thrown out of the ring by Chavo Guerrero who had been recovering from a 619 on the outside. After getting rid of Mistico, Chavo then went for the cover on Rey 1...2...3! Not wanting to stick around though, Chavo quickly escapes up the ramp feeling smug about his sneaky antics. What do you think about your match with The Great Khali at Unforgiven? And who do you think the third man will be in the triple threat? Batista: Josh, I don’t care about the Great Khali. You see all he is, is just a tall guy, that’s all he is. The Great Khali’s greatest asset is his intimidation and I don’t fear him at all. Matthews: What about the third man in the triple threat? Batista: I honestly couldn’t care less who wins, as I think I can beat anybody on Smackdown. Matthews: Who do you think deserves the spot then? Batista: Well, I’d like to see Kane win, he’s been deserving of a title shot for quite a while. Matthews: Ok Champ, thanks for your time. Batista: No worries. Both Kane and Henry were able to hit their signature power moves, with neither wrestler gaining a big advantage over the other for very long. The former world’s strongest man looked like he was going to advance in the tournament after he picked Kane up for a world’s Strongest slam… Cole: Henry goes for the world’s strongest slam. The crowd was behind Y2J but it was the Irishman who got on top early, by showing why he is called the Belfast Brawler. Everything in this match seemed to go against Jericho with Finlay using his protégé on the outside as much as he could. However Jericho was able to rally after Hornswoggle mistakenly hit Finlay with the shillelagh, with Y2J hitting the bulldog followed by the lionsault 1...2..kick out! Soon after though Finlay was put in the Walls of Jericho and after trying to get to the ropes for a few seconds, the pain became too much and the fighting Irishman tapped out! A video is played recapping the recent events involving John Cena, Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton. Jim Ross: Welcome everybody to Monday Night Raw, we are LIVE from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto! Folks, we are just 6 days away from WWE Unforgiven, live on PPV! I’m Jim Ross here with my legendary co-broadcaster Jerry “The King” Lawler, and what a night we have in store for you. Jerry Lawler: Yes JR, we’ve got everything tonight: Divas, a World Tag title match and a hardcore match! And you know JR my personal favourite out of those is the lovely Divas! **JR and King are interrupted by the music of Raw GM William Regal, who makes his way to the ring** Mr. Regal: Hello Ladies and Gentleman, last week on Raw we had Randy Orton dessert his tag team partner John Cena in their tag match against Bobby Lashley and Ken Kennedy. **Regal pauses as the footage is replayed on the titantron:**
“Close to the end Lashley and Kennedy were able to double team Cena and when the Champ looked to tag, Orton decided he had something in his eye. Then when the going got tough for the Cena/Orton team, Randy got going, abandoning Cena in the ring and allowing Kennedy and Lashley to hit a double team spinebuster on Cena for the three count.”
** Mr. Regal: As Raw general manager, I feel that I have to take action. So as a result of his poor form last week, I’m making a match between Randy Orton and John Cena for tonight, after that I will announce the Raw main event for Unforgiven, with the full match card to be available on WWE.com later in the week. Thank you and enjoy the rest of Raw tonight. Cody Rhodes vs. Ken Kennedy Mr. Kennedy thought this match was going to be easy…he was wrong. Young Cody showed great improvement in what was his best match so far, even getting a close near fall off a DDT. Kennedy however is a crafty wrestler and just as Cody looked to put the match beyond doubt, Mr. Kennedy went for a sneaky low blow. From then on Kennedy dominated the match, hitting the Green Bay Plunge for the three count in around seven and a half minutes. Unlike last week there was no handshake for Cody, just contempt. Your Winner: Mr. Kennedy Match Duration: 7:44 Match Rating: A After the break the camera is focused on the commentary team. JR: Last week after his match with Snitsky, Jeff Hardy was brutally attacked by Umaga. The good news is folks young Jeff will be fit for his match at Unforgiven against the Samoan Bulldozer, the bad news however is that Jeff is not fit to compete tonight. ** A replay is shown of Umaga’s post match attack on Jeff Hardy last week** Umaga vs. Sandman These two wrestlers have good chemistry, leading to a good match up. Sandman knew his best chance was to attack the big Samoan from the start, which had a decent effect. Umaga though was soon able to take control and began to dominate Sandman, hitting the Samoan drop, then the Samoan Splash before finishing the job with a Samoan Spike. So, when William Regal asked me who I’d like to face, I told him to bring back a name from the past and surprise me. King: Wow, I wonder who it will be? JR: King, you know who it is, you saw the man in question backstage! King: Him? No offence, but I think Mr. Regal could have done a better job. Triple H: So, without further ado…lets see who my opponent is. ** The arena goes silent for a few seconds, with the crowd hoping for a return of a superstar like the Rock or Stone Cold when…The music of D’Lo Brown hits. The camera flashes to Triple H for his reaction which can be best described as shock mixed with disappointment ** D’Lo Brown vs. Triple H On commentary Jim Ross went to great lengths to list D’Lo’s accomplishments in the WWE and the former Intercontinental Champion gave a good showing against “The Game” who was still showing a slight bit of ring rust. Halfway through the match a spinning DDT gave D’Lo the opportunity to go for the Lo Down…but Triple H was quick enough to roll out of the way at the last second, sending D’Lo crashing down to the mat with a thud. From then on the Cerebral assassin goes to work and before long D’Lo felt the sting of the Pedigree, which resulted in the 1...2...3. Your Winner: Triple H Match Duration: 7:45 Match Rating: B After the three count Triple H grabs a microphone: Regal! No disrespect to D’Lo Brown but he’s not the kinda guy I expected you to put me up against. In the late 90’s, sure the match would tear the house down, but now…I haven’t heard from this guy for about 5 or 6 years! Hell I didn’t even know he was still wrestling. JR: As good an effort D’Lo put in, I’ve got to agree with “The Game” here King. King: Certainly, even I could of beaten D’Lo! Triple H: Now William Regal, I think you owe me, and here’s a hint…I don’t have a match for Unforgiven. **With those words Triple H drops the microphone and leave the ring to the cheer of the crowd.** London & Kendrick vs. Cade & Murdoch World Tag Team titles match. These two teams have had a great rivalry over the past month with some great contests and both teams looked to continue the trend with the World Tag Team titles on the line. In the beginning the speed of the challengers got them the advantage and kept Cade and Murdoch on the mat and in a bit of trouble. At the seven minute mark Brian Kendrick hit the Sliced Bread # 2 on Lance Cade and tagged in Paul London who instantly hopped straight onto the turnbuckle and thought about going for the 450 splash.. JR: ..and Paul London looking to fall from on high! **At the last second Trevor Murdoch pushed London from the turnbuckle, then clotheslined Brian Kendrick on the outside** King: London fell alright! Lance Cade slowly began to crawl over to Paul London and made the cover 1...2...3! The Champs steal the win again, London & Kendrick can’t seem to get a fair shot at the titles. Your Winners: Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch Match Duration: 7:57 Match Rating: C+ Lance and Trevor begin to celebrate while making a hasty exit up the ramp, when William Regal’s music hit and the Raw General Manager appeared at the entrance. Mr. Regal: Look you two, I’ve had just about enough of your shenanigans and now I’m going to do something about it. At Unforgiven it will be you two **points at the Champs: Cade & Murdoch** defending your titles against London & Kendrick….AND Cryme Tyme!, in a triple threat tag team match up. That should curb your wicked ways and actually EARN those belts. **Cade and Murdoch look p*ssed, as Paul London and Brian Kendrick look overjoyed at getting another shot at the titles** After the break, Melina made her was to the commentary table joining JR and a very excited Jerry Lawler for the upcoming Women’s match up. Allison Danger vs. Mickie James This match turned out to be a good match up between two of the top challengers for the Women’s title. Mickie was the first to get a near fall, with a nicely timed snap suplex that on any other day could have resulted in a three count. Allison Danger was able to fight back into the match and soon after she got a two count off the Hurracanrana. The last few minutes of the match was an even contest and was only decided after a mistake by Mickie James allowed Allison Danger to hit the Top Rope Spinning DDT for the 1...2...3. Your Winner: Allison Danger Match Duration: 7:41 Match Rating: B- Almost as soon as the referee had raised Ms. Danger’s hand, Melina got up from her commentary position and snatched a microphone from Lillian Garcia. Melina: Hey, do you think your good beating that no hoper Mickie James? **As she talks Melina makes her way into the ring** One thing you have to realise is that I’m the most dominant Diva on Raw, and not only am I more talented than you in the ring…I’m also a lot better looking than your ugly ass! **With that inflammatory comment Allison Danger charges at Melina on spears her to the ground, she then grabs the microphone** Danger: With that posh bimbo out of the way, time to talk about more important matters. Victoria, I believe I deserve a shot at the Women’s Championship and if you have the guts it’ll be you and me for the title at Unforgiven. **Victoria’s music hits and the Women’s champ walks out to the ring and grabs the microphone from Allison Danger** King: I wonder if Victoria will say yes? If she doesn’t I’d love to face Allison later on tonight in my hotel room, HA HA. JR: Calm down King, Lets keep the focus on wrestling. Victoria: After seeing you just beat Mickie James and shut up that big mouth Melina, I accept. **The two women then engage in a stare down as Raw goes to the break.** Tommy Dreamer vs. Carlito Hardcore Match. Carlito’s preparation for his Blood Bath match with Mick Foley at Unforgiven continued with this match against Tommy Dreamer. The Innovator of Violence started off strong with some hard trashcan lid shots on Carlito, before getting a close two count off a DDT onto the lid. After arguing with the referee for a few seconds Dreamer went to set up a table just outside the ring, allowing Carlito to recover and sneak chair in hand over to where Dreamer was standing…CRACK!! Carlito hit the Backstabber on Dreamer using the chair to good effect sandwiched between Carlito’s legs and Dreamer’s back! 1...2...Kick Out! This just got Carlito revved up and the second generation superstar dominated the rest of the match, eventually getting the victory after hitting a second Backstabber. Your Winner: Carlito Match Duration: 6:47 Match Rating: B- Post match Carlito went to grab his apple from ringside when he was jumped from behind by…Mick Foley! The surprise attack catches Carlito off guard as Foley throws him into the ringside steps before hitting the double arm DDT onto a chair, busting Carlito open. John Cena vs. Randy Orton Cena started off with a belly full of fire trying to get retribution for last week, leaving Orton reeling. However after a while the “Legend Killer” was able to gain the advantage on John Cena, who’s anger got the better of him. Orton got a two count off the inverted backbreaker, then decided to slow down the match with his trademark rest hold, but soon the Champ was able to fight out. The middle of the match was a tight affair with several near falls and both men getting in a few trademark moves to hype the crowd. About 12 minutes in John Cena made the mistake off charging at Orton who was able to duck out of the way and lower the ring ropes sending Cena to the outside. As the referee was distracted by Orton, the Champ was attack from behind by Bobby Lashley who had come out of the crowd. After a cheap spear, Lashley hit the dominator to lay out Cena and Orton ever the opportunist ordered the referee to count to ten. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...Cena begins to stir…8...Cena crawls towards the apron…9...Cena props himself up using the ring apron…10! The Champ gets screwed by Bobby Lashley, Orton wins by count out. Your Winner: Randy Orton Match Duration: 13:35 Match Rating: A* Almost as soon as the bell had rung Lashley throws Cena into the ring and begins to lay the boots into him, Randy Orton watches for a second before deciding to join in just for the hell of it. Then William Regal’s music hits and the Raw GM comes out for the third time tonight. Mr. Regal: Now stop that right there or neither of you will get a title shot at Unforgiven. **Lashley and Orton stop immediately** Now, I’m going to announce the match for the WWE Title, and because of the constant horseplay between you three, it will be a triple threat match. To prevent a tainted match and to maintain order I’m assigning a special guest referee. That man will be…….**Behold the King, The King of Kings!**...... Triple H! **Triple H then comes out and stands next to Mr. Regal, sledgehammer in hand as Raw goes off the air (and yes, JR is going nuts on commentary :D )** Attendance: 7,490 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada.
