And tonight is going to be a barn burner, so you picked the best night of wrestling we have ever put together to tune in. Not only tonight will you see the ‘Living Legend’ Bruno Sammartino in action, you will see the greatest main event that WWF Championship Wrestling has ever put together. It will be World Wrestling Federation Champion Bob Backlund in one corner, and in the other will be Intercontinental Champion Don Muraco. Neither title is up for grabs in this match, but it’s all about pride. Which man will come out on top and prove to be the greatest champion that the World Wrestling Federation has to offer? Slaughter[/SIZE] The Sarge made his way down to the ring to his familiar drumbeat as Salvatore got loosened up in the ring, not looking too intimidated by the bionic chin that was making it’s way towards him. Sarge got in the ring and yelled at Bellomo for him to salute him as he entered the ring, but Salvatore refused. This lead to a beat down of epic proportions. Sarge literally beat Bellomo into the mat. He suplexed him around the ring and stomped on his back and arms to warm him up for his finishing maneuver. Then when the time came Sarge got behind him and started stalking him, then locked in the Cobra Clutch and it was all over. [SIZE="3"]Winner: Sgt. Rodz came out dropkicking like there was no tomorrow, but he couldn’t get Sammartino down from his very solid base. Bruno then caught him once and went to town on him with those patented right hands, then locked in his signature front facelock and about choked Rodz out. Sammartino then got him back up and lifted him up parallel with the ground, then nailed the Sammartino Backbreaker and it was all over. [SIZE="3"]Winner: Bruno Sammartino Match Time: 5:53 Match Rating: B[/SIZE] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The same dark screen appears as last week, with the same heartbeat and slow drum beat, then it picks up very quickly, just like last week. The fire then shoots across the screen, but this time the text has changed…. The Samoans have been rolling though during their feud with the Soul Patrol and Tito Santana, and they wanted to prove that they are the most dominant tag team that the WWF has ever seen. They looked good trying to get their point across too as they headbutted and slammed the Invaders whenever they wanted too. They seemed to be just toying with the Invaders until Captain Lou yelled, Enough!, and then Sika nailed Invader II with the Samoan Drop and it was all over. The match then got under way and each talented technical wrestler tried as hard as they could to get position, but the speed and technical prowess of Bob Backlund got him the early advantage and he controlled the early part of the match. Backlund wore down Muraco with a series of painful holds, but Muraco fought back hard at about the five minute mark. Muraco slammed Backlund around the ring some, then decided to put it away. He picked up Backlund for the Inverted Piledriver, but Backlund slipped out behind him, then locked in the Crossface Chickenwing, and Muraco was forced to submit and live to face Morales at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Muraco looked to get in on the action too until he was cut off with a flurry of rights from Pedro Morales, then that flurry was finished off with a hard cast shot to the head of Muraco, sending him out to the floor. Pedro then helped Backlund fight Stevens off, and the four men stood yelling at each other, setting up the two huge matches for Saturday Night’s Main Event next weekend.
