No Mercy, live from the Charlotte Coliseum in the Mid Atlantic. Yes folks, we’re in Flair country! Raw Announce Team Smackdown! When these two meet in the ring, it's just a staredown in the beginning. Through all the comedy skits, and all the joking around with one another, that's all out the window now. This match is for the WWE United States Championship, it's for pride, they both think they're better than the other and they're both out to prove the other wrong. It's no doubt gonna be one hell of a battle. The match starts of with MVP in control. His anger that’s been built up over these past few weeks finally came out as he unloaded an arsenal of moves on Hardy much to the dismay of the fans. They urged Hardy to get back in this match but he just couldn't. But then came a turning point in this bout... MVP was controlling the action on the outside when he tried to whip Hardy into the steel steps but it was reversed by Hardy who sent MVP crashing into the steel! This gave Hardy the opportunity to regain himself and take control of the match. He grabbed MVP by the head and pounded it on the fan guard. MVP promptly fell to the ground and Hardy unloaded on him with a flurry of punches and kicks to the head and gut. He then picks up MVP and gives him a monster suplex on the floor. Hardy then makes his way back into the ring while MVP is down and he climbs the turnbuckle. He waits for MVP to get back to his feet, gives the V1 symbol and flies through the air toward MVP. But it backfires, as MVP moves out the way and Hardy hits his head hard on the rail guard! And Matt is busted wide open! MVP picked up Hardy and gave him a monster DDT right to the floor. He picked up Hardy and through him back into the ring. As MVP gets back in and tries to take advantage of the match by whipping Hardy into the ropes, Hardy flies back and ducks under MVP's attempted clothesline but MVP hit a strong dropkick on Hardy, dropping him to the mat. He picks Hardy up, delivering the Playmaker and goes for the pin. 1... 2... KICK OUT BY HARDY!! Matt Hardy kicked out of the Playmaker and MVP is in disbelief! He goes over and argues with the ref about his count and Hardy takes advantage of the situation and tries to get the quick count on MVP by hitting a fast rollup!... 1... 2... MVP KICKS OUT! Both men are clearly frustrated as neither can get the one up on each other, they trade punches back and forth until they both back into the ropes and deliver each other a double clothesline!! Both men are down and out and while the ref counts, the music of CM PUNK FILLS THE ARENA! Punk runs down to the ring, picks up Matt Hardy and delivers a Twist Of Fate to him!, then he picks up MVP and hits a huge DDT right to his face!. The fans don't know whether to cheer or boo as CM Punk grabs the U.S. Championship and celebrates on the turnbuckle while Michael Cole and JBL are absolutely shocked at what just happened... MVP vs. Matt Hardy for the United States Championship went to a no-contest because of CM Punk's interference. MVP makes defence No.1 of the United States Championship. (B-) ------------------------ Another Shiny Video Package After the explosive opener, a highlight package hyping the Intercontinental Championship match plays. The video highlights the fact that all the men are former Intercontinental Champions, showing them all holding the belt aloft, before recapping Raw’s events: Hardy and his tag partners defeating the team of Carlito, Umaga and King Booker, and the miscommunication that sent Umaga crazy at Carlito and King Booker, ending with them running from the Samoan Bulldozer’s rage. Will it be different tonight? (B) The King And I We cut back to No Mercy, and we see Maria waiting to interview Carlito and King Booker, back with Queen Sharmell this week. Maria: “Now, tonight, you two are facing off with each other and Umaga and Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Title. My question is, are you two scared of Umaga?” Carlito: “Carlito isn’t scared of that big, ugly brute Umaga! He winces at the thought of Umaga. “You see, Carlito is a man. Carlito is going to go out there tonight, and beat all of these men for that title. That’s cool.” He chews his apple, as the camera pans back to see King Booker and Queen Sharmell’s reactions. Booker looks a little peeved by this and Sharmell has her stereotypical ‘oh-no-you-didn’t’ look back on her face. King Booker: “Tonight, I shall vanquish each of these scallywags in turn, firstly, the disgusting peasant Jeffrey Hardy (Sharmell makes a dismissive gesture) , and then I shall joust with that savage islander called Umaga (Sharmell screws up her face) , and then King Booker will dispose of this court jester of the name Little Carl!" Carlito: “Who are you calling little huh? It damn sure better not be Carlito. Carlito is going to kick your ass tonight. Now that’s cool!" King Booker ignores him. “Tonight, King Booker will regain a title, and then, then, the World!" He laughs hysterically and walks off with a pleased Sharmell, leaving Carlito and Maria mystified a little. (B-) ------------------------ Intercontinental Championship Jeff Hardy(c) vs. Umaga vs. Carlito vs. King Booker (w/ Queen Sharmell) As the match starts off, Umaga immediately targets both King Booker and Carlito, and hits them with move after move, until King Booker and Carlito wise up and manage to put him down with some effective double teams, which seems to be a theme, as the only time they touch one another is to pull the other off of a pinfall. Jeff Hardy is relatively uninvolved for the first half, only taking opportunities to hit some huge aerial moves, most of which come close to ending the match, only to be stopped or kicked out of. Atfer about 10 minutes of action, all the combatants have had their fair share of offence, but Umaga begins to gain control and takes all three down, Jeff with a Samoan Drop, Carlito with a headbutt and King Booker with a clothesline. King Booker slowly crawls to the corner, and manages to prop himself up against it, leaving him in perfect position for an Umaga Running Hip Attack! As Umaga readies himself, Queen Sharmell desperately jumps up on the apron and distracts the referee. Umaga watches firstly, but then readies his attack. He runs . . . misses! Sharmell's distraction gave Booker apt time to avoid the splash! As Umaga walks out of the corner in pain, Carlito sneaks up behind him . . Backcracker! Just before Carlito can cover a fallen Umaga, Jeff Hardy kicks him in the mid-section, and goes for a Twist Of Fate, only to be pushed into the ropes. Carlito looks to follow him with a clothesline, but Jeff ducks and sends him over, before hit a huge plancha! Booker has got to his feet in this time, and sees Umaga unsteadily getting up and lines up for the Scissors Kick . . but Umaga counters with a huge sidewalk slam! The King wisely goes straight towards the ropes, but Umaga chokes him using the bottom rope. The referee starts his count, but Umaga can't be reasoned with. The referee disqualifies Umaga. King Booker def. Umaga, Carlito and Jeff Hardy via disqualification. Jeff Hardy makes defence No.1 of his Intercontinental Championship. (B+) ------------------------ Time To Play The Game? Triple H is in the back, in front of the Raw set. He promises that tonight, he will win the Triple Threat match, and go on to become an 11-time World Champion. He brandishes a sledgehammer. "And if anyone gets in my way, they're gonna know why I am called the Cerebral Assassin." (B+) El Latino Machismo A package is shown of the recent feud between Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero. Showing how Chavo and Vickie first turned on Rey, all the classic battles they've had over this past year, both the I Quit matches, and all the attacks put on by the two. Then it shows recently Chavo's change of heart that no one can understand, how he saved Rey from two beatdowns at the hands of Big Daddy V and Mark Henry. That match, is next! ------------------------ Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio vs. Mark Henry and Big Daddy V (w/ Matt Striker) Big Daddy V and Mark Henry are accompanied to the ring by Matt Striker. It's evident that Rey and Chavo are a bit hesitant about facing these two monsters once again but both are warriors and they know what has to be done. The match starts off with Rey and Mark Henry. Of course Rey has to use his speed against the much bigger and stronger Mark Henry and it works for awhile as Mysterio uses his high flying and speed skills to get in on the attack on Henry, then out to protect himself. But this all backfires as Rey tried to hit a high risk move off the top rope when he was caught by Henry and slammed hard to the ground! This is when Henry took advantage of the situation. He picked up Rey and put him in a huge bearhug. Rey refused to give up no matter how much the ref asked him. Rey could feel himself fading fast and he did what he had to do, he promptly kicked Mark Henry right in the jewels making him promptly drop Mysterio. Mysterio began crawling over to Chavo to make the tag, but Mark Henry quickly tagged in Big Daddy V. He saw Mysterio on the ground and quickly ran over to deliver a huge splash to him, but Mysterio rolled out of the way and tagged in Chavo leaving Daddy V on the ground in pain from missing the splash!. Chavo then climbed the top turnbuckle and delivered a huge Frog Splash to Big Daddy V and went for the pin... 1... Matt Striker hopped on the apron to distract the ref, But Mysterio would have none of it as he delivered a huge running dropkick to Striker sending him flying to the outside, Mysterio then ran off the apron and gave Striker the West Coast Pop, leaving both men down and out!. But this left Chavo at a disadvantage because as soon as he turned around Big Daddy V gave him a huge big boot to the face leaving him down! Big V tags in Henry and Henry delivers a World's Strongest Slam, and then to cap it off, a World's Strongest Splash to Chavo and gets the pin... 1... 2... 3...! When the match is over, Henry, Striker and V destroy Chavo and Mysterio some more and then all 3 celebrate in the middle of the ring, with Chavo and Rey left down and out. Mark Henry and Big Daddy V def. Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio via pinfall. (C+) ------------------------ The Fastest Declining Star In Sports Entertainment History? We're off to another part of backstage, where Mr. Kennedy is. He tells us he's the fastest rising star in Sports Entertainment history. A dead cert to win. Orton, HHH, they have nothing on him. Nothing. He's going to fulfil his destiny and become WWE Champion at . . . Only he doesn't finish the sentence, because Randy Orton interrupts. Orton laughs at Kennedy, saying he's done nothing so far. What's he won, like 1 United States Championship? At least Randy knows what it's like up there. But Kennedy laughs right back, and informs Orton that he's had matches against Funaki that have lasted longer than Orton's title reign. Needless to say, Orton looks a little peeved. Orton: "Look, I don't care who I have to beat tonight, but I am the best. End of. There is not one damn person on the face of this earth who could stop me. No-one. And if they think they can, I'll show them why Randy Orton is a Legend (leans into Kennedy)Killer." (B+) ------------------------ No-Disqualifications Match Tommy Dreamer vs. John Morrison The referee rings the bell, and Morrison immediately ducks out of the ring, leaving Dreamer to chase him back in. Morrison goes for the old 'run-in and stomp' attack, only to find Dreamer is not there, but a fire extinguisher is! As Dreamer litters the ring with weapons, Morrison gets back into it, but a stop-sign dims his lights! After a few minutes of brutal action, including (but not limited to) drop-toe holds into chairs, baseball bats, a beautiful running clothesline over the steel stop onto Tommy Dreamer who was sat on a chair from Morrison, a brutal Dreamer DDT onto a ring bell (which he couldn't take advantage of), and cable choking, the action gets back into the ring. Both men are bleeding, but Morrison hits a springboard kick for a close 2 count! Not believing Dreamer kicked out, he grabs a steel chair, and, repeating last week's tag match, creams Dreamer with it! 1 . . . 2 . . . Thr- NO! Dreamer kicks out again! Morrison looks on again in disbelief, wondering what he has to do to keep Dreamer down. Suddenly, he smiles, and exiting the ring, draws huge cheers: he got a table. Sliding it into the ring, he sets it up, and nails Dreamer with a DDT. Getting a groggy Dreamer back up, he sets him up on the table, and goes up top, looking possibly for a Corkscrew Moonsault. But . . . Dreamer is playing possum! He crotches Morrison on the top rope, and climbs up, signalling to the fans, who stand in anticipation of a huge move. They aren't disappointed; A Top-Rope Spicolli Driver through the table! If only Joey Styles were here! Oh My God! Dreamer crawls over, as the referee waits. He drapes an arm over Morrison, and the ref begins his count, with the crowd helping. 1 . . 2 . . Thre- NO!! Morrison kicks out this time!! It's now Dreamer's turn to look worried. But, replicating a move from earlier, and possibly topping it, he searches under the ring and finds it: A Barbed Wire Board! As he enters the ring, Morrison is barely stirring, and even Dreamer needs time to recover, clutching his head. But as Morrison rises to his feet, Dreamer waits patiently to nail him with the board. Morrison turns around, and Dreamer raises it, poised to strike . . LOW BLOW! Morrison's lightining reactions help him here, and it's all legal folks! Dreamer is doubled over . . CORKSCREW NECKBREAKER ONTO THE BARBED WIRE BOARD!! It has to be over!! 1 . . 2 . . 3! John Morrison def. Tommy Dreamer via pinfall. (B-) Post match, Morrison looks disturbed, blood pouring everywhere. As he very slowly exits the ring, he clutches his face, and looks back on a motionless Dreamer with an unbelieving look, having just been to hell and back! ------------------------ Women's Championship Candice Michelle(c) vs. Beth Phoenix Candice looks terrified of her challenger, but never-the-less gives it a good go, frustrating Beth by slipping out of some of her power moves and hitting some good moves of her own, including a picture-perfect Hurrancanrana. However, Beth manages to out power Candice, and hit's her with a combination of power and submissions, including vertical suplexes, powerslams and even Bearhugs. After barely slipping out of the Bearhug, Beth whips Candice towards the ropes, looking for a clothesline, but Candice ducks, comes back off the ropes . . . Spin Kick! Connected! She goes for the cover . . 1 . . 2 . . The Referee notices that Beth's foot is on the ropes! While Candice argues with the referee, Beth gets up and nails Candice with a Military Press Slam, earning a close two count of her own! Beth smiles slightly manically though, and signals for the Down In Flames Slam. She flips Candice upside-down . . but Candice manages to slip out, and rolls Beth straight into a Backlund Roll-Up! The referee counts to three, and Candice quickly escapes from the ring with her title! Candice Michelle def. Beth Phoenix via pinfall. It takes a whole lot of officials to drag her backstage, all the while screaming that she'd been screwed and the title belonged to her! (C-) ------------------------ WWE Cruiserweight Championship Shannon Moore vs. Funaki vs. Jamie Noble vs. Jimmy Wang Yang This match was a wild one. Jamie Knoble, Shannon Moore, Funaki and Jimmy Wang Yang put on one hell of a show for about 8 minutes, until they were interrupted by the apparent presence of the Deadman. Knoble and Shannon Moore were battling in the inside of the ring, while Funaki and Wang Yang were on the outside. They were all putting there bodies on the line to win that cruiserweight championship, putting on one hell of a match, although the fans didn't quite think so, they weren't into it at all. During all the chaos, all of a sudden The Undertaker's gong went off. And each time the gong would chime the Cell would lower! Knoble and Moore were the ones in the most danger as they were inside the ring, Yang and Funaki didn't even notice the cell was lowering, they were just looking for the Undertaker to make his way out, but he never did and finally the cell was lowered around Moore and Knoble. Shannon Moore became so disoriented with fear trying to escape the cage; this gave Knoble the chance to capitalize as he rolled up Moore for the pin... 1... 2... 3..!! And Jamie Knoble wins the Cruiserweight Title in a very confusing match. All 4 men didn't know what to do at the end of the match, Jamie Knoble didn't even celebrate after the won his championship, he just fled to the back with the rest of the superstars!! And a good match it was at that, Cade & Murdoch resorting to the ground & pound style which makes them so successful, and London & Kendrick thrilling the crowd with their daredevil antics. In the end though, it all came down to right place, right time. Cade and Kendrick were the legal men, and were down on the outside. Kendrick slithered back into the ring, and, with the referee distracted, London went up top, looking for a huge splash onto Cade. Ouch. It missed by a long shot, and as London crashed and burned, Cade got back into the ring. One Sweet 'n' Sour later, and the Tag Champs had retained their titles with a hard-fought victory. So Finlay, get your ass out here, because I’m going to show ya that The Nature Boy loves to fight too, WHOOOO!!!!!" (B+) ------------------------ Ric Flair vs. Finlay After Flair gave his heartfelt speech, Finlay made his way down to the ring and the fight ensued from then on. Early on both men just traded blows back and forth with one another until Finlay got the upper hand and delivered a stiff kick to Flair’s knee, causing him to stumble. A few more kicks to the knee and Flair was down and out. This back and forth brawling when on for about 10 minutes in the beginning of the match. The turning point in the match was when Finlay got on top of Flair, to keep working the knee, but Flair showed us why he's the dirtiest player in the game by poking Finlay in the eyes without the ref seeing. As Finlay struggled to see, he stumbled into the corner turnbuckle and Flair slowly made his way over to Finlay on his bad leg and delivered huge chop after huge chop with the fans chanting WHOO!! in between each chop. Flair then climbed on top of Finlay while he was in the corner and began to deliver blows to Finlay’s head, counting all the way down from 10 to 1. Flair got down and Finlay dropped to the ground and Flair strutted around the ring in celebration. But Flair celebrated a bit too much because when Flair turned around he caught a stiff elbow to the face, granting a warning from the referee. As Flair fell Finlay went down for the 3 count. 1... 2... And no, Flair promptly kicked out, as he showed everyone he wasn't going down that easily. Finlay gets frustrated and goes to the outside of the ring and grabs his shillelagh. The ref sees this and automatically tries to take it away from Finlay. While they struggled for possession of the weapon, Flair took advantage and delivered a huge low blow to Finlay as the ref took the weapon and threw it too the outside. Finlay dropped in pain and Flair stood up, let out a huge Whoo!! and locked on the Figure Four Leg Lock! Finlay screamed in pain until he finally had to give up and submit the match making Ric Flair the victor! After the match Flair celebrated all the way up the ramp, leaving Finlay in the ring angry saying to Flair, "It's not over!"... Ric Flair def. There are some great sequences, with Orton and Kennedy's tower superplex on Triple H, a double suplex reversed into a double DDT by The Game and a running plancha to the outside from Kennedy straight into Orton, with HHH barely moving at the last second. Back in the ring, Kennedy scrambles in and runs at Triple H, only to receive a Spinebuster for his troubles; a close two count follows. Triple H goes onto the turnbuckles, waiting to strike Kennedy, but Orton grabs his leg; HHH kicks him off, but it gives time for Kennedy . . . Green Bay Plunge! 1 . . 2 . . Orton barely saves the matchup! Kennedy turns into an Orton uppercut, and falls to the floor. Trips is back up now, only to go right back down to an Inverted Backbreaker from Orton, and yet again a close 2 count is made! By this time, Kennedy is back into the match, and he's bought a steel chair with him. The referee forces him to drop it, and he turns right round into an RKO! Trips quickly takes advantage, with a roll-up on a preening Orton, yet another 2 count! Orton kicks him in the mid section, and sends him to the ropes, only to receive a Facebuster for his troubles! Pedigree time? No! Orton counters . . into his own Pedigree!? No! Triple H snares his legs and rolls over . . 1 . . 2 . . thr- kickout! Orton barely escapes! Kennedy is stirring now as Orton throws the Game to the ropes again . . High Knee! But to the referee! Kennedy sees the referee down, and glancing quickly, pulls out HHH's weapon of choice: A Sledgehammer! Orton also takes advantage, and hits a huge low blow on Trips, sending him gasping for air! He lines up him up for A Legend Punt when suddenly . . . The crowd pop huge!! Orton looks around for the source, but he didn't see Triple H sneak up on him and crack him in the head with a Steel Chair! Triple H slumps down to both knees again, and Kennedy's back in the ring, brandishing Triple H's sledgehammer! Triple H looks wide-eyed, and can't do anything to stop him. Suddenly, there is a ruckus from the crowd, and Triple H looks to that section and smiles. Kennedy turns round . . . . Triple H gets to his feet, and pulls Kennedy up, while Lashley throws the referee into the ring. PEDIGREE! Slowly, the referee counts: 1 . . 2 . . 3! Triple H def. I walked into this arena the World Champ, and I’m going to walk out the World Champ, so I hope that later on, Undertaker brings all his strength, and all his 'Deadman' powers, because I’m going to show him what it feels like when you release the Animal from it's cage!" (B-) ------------------------ Hell In A Cell World Heavyweight Championship Batista(c) vs. The Undertaker It’s time for the highly anticipated Main Event. Batista made his way to the ring first, title around his waist, showing no fear, more determined than ever, ready to fight to keep his title. The lights then went dark, the arena was turned purple, and the gong went off as the lighters filled the crowd. The Undertaker then made his demonic entrance to the ring, staring down Batista the entire time. Undertaker stepped into the cell, then into the ring. A staredown was on which seemed like forever until the fight was on! First Batista came with a punch, then Undertaker with one, Then Batista with another, then Undertaker! Neither man would back down from the other as they just went back and forth with each other. Until the Undertaker got one strong punch in and whipped Batista into the ropes, Batista came back and hit a huge flying shoulder tackle on The Undertaker knocking him to the ground. Batista got up off the matt more pumped than ever. But Undertaker sat right back up as well. When Taker got up, Batista took his head and tried to smash it into the Cell wall, But Taker was to strong for that, and he grabbed Batista by the neck and tossed his entire body into the cell wall, leaving him down in pain. Undertaker then took control of the match, picking up Batista and delivering a thunderous right hand to the skull of Batista sending him crashing down to the matt. He then picked up Batista, looked into his eyes, threw him as hard as he could into the turnbuckle and watched Batista hit them, then crash to the floor. He walked over to Batista, stood him up and unloaded with a fury of boxing punches into the gut of the Animal. Then while Batista was catching his breath, the Undertaker came in with a huge elbow to the face, nearly taking his head off! The Undertaker was in clear control of this match. But that all changed once Taker went charging at Batista in the corner and the Animal exploded to give Taker a huge Spear!!! Both men were down in the ring, exhausted already from this HIAC match! Undertaker was the one who got up first, followed promptly by Batista. The two traded punches again, until Batista hit the Undertaker with a huge clothesline sending both men over the top rope and out to the floor! They both got up right away, and Taker tackled Batista into the door of the cell, sending both men crashing right through it! As both men lay on the floor outside the cell, Batista's back bloodied from connecting with the cell, the fans erupted. Batista got up first, went over and took the steel steps from by the ring and as Taker stood up, delivered a huge shot to the head with the steps, and Taker dropped straight back to the floor. Batista then got on top of Taker and delivered huge forearm punches to the head of Taker one after another. But then, Taker wrapped his hand around the throat of Batista, stood up and delivered a Chokeslam heard round the world to Batista on top of the steel steps! He then picked up the lifeless body of the Animal and brought him over to the announce table, ripping it apart, obviously setting Batista up for a huge move on top of it. But Batista knowing he would be in more danger than ever, promptly grabbed the TV monitor and smashed it on the head of the Deadman, busting him open! Batista could then see the Undertaker quickly recovering from that shot and he needed somewhere where we could catch his second wind. So he looked at the top of the cell and started to climb. When he got to the top the Undertaker was hot on his trail already half way up. As soon as Taker reached the top, the two began brawling again, lefts and rights delivered from both men in a dangerous area on the edge of the cell, there was no doubt that one of them would soon enough fall! Until Batista grabbed Taker and gave him a huge suplex right on top of the cell!! He then promptly went for the pin! 1... 2... TAKER KICKED OUT! Taker kicked out of that suplex on the steel and Batista couldn't believe it! He then picked up Undertaker and in frustration tried to deliver the Batista Bomb but the Undertaker reversed it and hit a back body drop sending Batista flying onto the cell. Both men were obviously tired and battered by this point, but they kept fighting for that prize, that world heavyweight championship. Undertaker then picked up Batista and set him up for the Last Ride! But while Taker had Batista in the air, the Animal exposed the wound of the Undertaker and hit him on the head repeatedly until taker fell and dropped Batista, this gave Batista the chance to set Taker up for the Batista Bomb and deliver it on top of the CELL!!!! He then went for the lazy cover! 1... 2... 3..!!!!!! Batista won the match, it was a hellacious match but Batista did what he promised he would, walk out the World Heavyweight Champion just like he promised... Batista def. The Undertaker via pinfall. Batista makes defence No.1 of the World Heavyweight Championship. (A) ------------------------ See No Evil As Batista climbed down the cell and made his way up the ramp with World Title in hand, the arena went black, the organ music came on, and the fires from hell started the music of Kane! Batista couldn't believe what he was seeing as Kane made his way down the ramp toward the World Champion. Batista was obviously tired from his hellacious match with the Undertaker. Kane grabbed Batista by the throat, choking the life out of him, and then sent him crashing to the concrete with a huge Chokeslam. Kane then grabbed the World Championship, made his way to the ring, raised his arms, and lowered them sending fire out of the ringposts and the top of the cell, automatically waking up the Undertaker. And as Kane had his arm raised with World title in hand, the Undertaker stared right through Kane’s soul from the top of the cell as Batista lay lifeless on the ramp as No Mercy Went off the air!!
Great PPV but was really dissapointed that you used the mystery video to redebut lashley.
Although i don't do RAW, i think he used that video to destract Randy Orton... Not to redebut lashley. The redebuting of Lashley was to set up the feud for him and Kennedy;)

After No Mercy last night, several questions are going to be answered. Firstly, Triple H has secured qualification into the tournament, and that is legally binding Not even Mr. McMahon can break it. But how will Orton and Kennedy take last night's defeat? Will they go after The Game, or will their own worries take presidency tonight? During the Raw Main Event at No Mercy, Randy Orton seemed to be close to victory, until a strange video played on the titantron, distracted him and ultimately costing him the match. Who is behind these videos? And Mr. Kennedy has a large worry tonight, as the returning Lashley speared him to help give Triple H the victory. Will Kennedy try and get revenge, or run from a man he put on the shelf and who wants a fight? Candice Michelle defeated Beth Phoenix last night, and as a result, there needs to be a new No.1 Contender. So tonight, in a Triple Threat Match, Mickie James will take on Melina and Jillian, with the winner getting a future title opportunity. Mr. McMahon has also promised another announcement of the WWE Title Tournament. Will more competitors advance tonight? Also, Jeff Hardy has to team with the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga to face King Booker and Carlito, and after last night, will Carlito or Booker even want to face Umaga? Raw, live from the Palaestra in the Tri-State Region! Sorry for the delay folks. But we're back with a vengeance ;) Raw Announce Team And Tonight’s Main Event . . . Vince McMahon (with The Coach playing faithful lapdog) struts down to the ring (to yet another chorus of boos) as his familiar opening-of-Raw speech is about to begin. Vince: “Last night, we saw Bobby Lashley return to take out Mr. Kennedy in the Raw main event of No Mercy, helping Triple H get the victory. Unfortunately, this match had such an iron contract even I, and my expensive team of lawyers can’t break it. So yes, Triple H is in the tournament. (He grimaces as it seems he regrets not being able to screw over HHH yet again.) So tonight, in our main event, Bobby Lashley and Triple H will team up to face Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton! (cue big pop from crowd.) The winners will qualify for the Road To The Gold. And a great match it was too. Both teams have their moments, with beautifully fluid teamwork, technical brilliance from Haas & Benjamin and some spectacular gymnastics work from Benjamin and London & Kendrick. In the end, Benjamin and London were fighting on the outside, and Kendrick and Haas in the ring. Kendrick gained the upper hand and went for the Sliced Bread #2, however, Haas had him scouted, and flipped him to the back. Kendrick wasted no time though, and went for a Backlund-style rollup; Haas pulled a switch though, clearly looking for a German Suplex. As Kendrick tried to battle out of that hold, he hadn’t noticed that Benjamin had taken down London on the outside, but he noticed just one thing: The Superkick, which, in combination with Haas’ German Suplex, proved to be it. Dustah takes his sunglasses off and goes off on Regal, labelling him a pile of trash and other things I couldn't quite understand (someone remind me to get a translator for him) before walking off, leaving Regal seething. The camera pans out as Jillian and Melina approach the raging diva nervously, and Jillian says hi. Beth looks up, not amused. Jillian quickly blurts out that she, Melina and Mickie James are fighting for the No.1 contendership tonight. Beth asks why she needed to know this. Melina stammers out that they know Beth is mad, so they don't want her to ruin their opportunity by crashing their match. And besides, you'll get your hands on Candice again, right? . . . Big mistake. Beth looks ready to explode, and chases the divas, looking to take out her frustrations. The quickly run however, and push a box in front of the door, locking Beth inside. (C) Don't Look Back In Anger Jillian walks off quickly, and Melina goes to, until she bumps into John Morrison, who has got back from his match. She quickly seethes, and screams at John about how he left her and what a pretentious person he is now. Where's the Johnny Nitro she loved? John responds by simply stating he didn't leave her, he got drafted, and she was the one who ended things. Melina simply screamed with rage and walked off, leaving a puzzled Morrison to shake his head. She finds a way to keep both and bay and takes control with a beautiful hurrancanrana on Jillian. She sets up Jillian for the Mick Kick, but Jillian ducks and it hits Melina! Jillian quickly takes advantage and rolls up Mickie with her feet on the ropes. 1 . . 2 . . Mickie barely kicks out! Jillian drags Mickie to the center of the ring, setting up for a Northern Lights Suplex, but Mickie knees herin the stomach and again sets up for the Mickie DDT. He grins and walks off, as Lashley looks angry, and Triple H is led off by security, not having said a word the whole time. (B+) The Unlikely Saviour Backstage standing by the Raw set, the Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy is waiting to be interviewed by Maria, but Carlito and King Booker (along with Queen Sharmell) ambush him, looking to gain the upper hand for tonight. But help comes in the unlikely form of Umaga, who runs off their opponents tonight, and runs after them to the ring! (B) --------------- Umaga and Jeff Hardy vs. Carlito and King Booker Barely time for entrances here, as Umaga chases King Booker and Carlito down to the ring, and the match pretty much begins. In the first few minutes of the match, it's basically a handicap match, as Jeff Hardy doesn't make it to the ring, King Booker and Carlito keeping the big man grounded and the tempo down. However, it's clear that they both still have a problem with each other, as the tags are awkward and their timing is out of sync. Umaga takes advantage of this and nails King Booker with a thrust kick onto the outside table. Carlito is set-up in the corner for the running butt splash as Jeff Hardy limps his way down to ringside for a big pop. He tags himself in as Umaga drives his butt into Carlito's head, and Jeff follows with a basement dropkick, dragging Carlito out of the corner for a 2 count. He whips Carlito to the ropes, but Carlito reverses and follows up with a dropkick, before reaching for his apple, preparing to humiliate Jeff again. He doesn't notice that Umaga is back behind him, but senses it, and turns around and nearly chokes on his apple to see the big ugly Samoan brute, which gives Jeff all the time in the world to get up while Carlito pleads with Umaga. Carlito turns back to Jeff and receives a Twist of Fate, followed by a Top Rope Splash from Umaga, a unique double team which scores the 3 count! Umaga and Jeff Hardy def. Carlito and King Booker via pinfall. (B-) --------------- Like Taking Candy From A Baby In front of the Raw set, Ken Kennedy and Randy Orton are stood there, looking pretty beat up, Orton particularly remembering the sledgehammer shot from Kennedy and Kennedy's ribs still feeling Lashley's Spear. We're informed Maria ran from the earlier beatdown, so Orton and Kennedy take some time to inform the audience why tonight's main event will be easy, as Lashley doesn't have any friends who would stand up against them. Orton in particular notes how Lashley is a nothing, who will fell what it's like to be in the big leagues now. Kennedy and Orton walk off, laughing. (B+) It's Not 1996! In the ring, Vince McMahon (with Jonathan Coachman) is making his entrance, and then Tazz and Styles make their entry to the ECW theme, getting a good response, however unsure of their fate they are tonight. Vince begins to immediately rip into them, telling them they're worthless and he should have left them back in Philadelphia with all the other scum. But no, he gave them a chance, and he fully expects them to honour their jobs tonight, by doing one thing: Declaring ECW was a pile of s***. Tazz grabs the microphone from McMahon, which draws a pop from the crowd. He immediately lays into McMahon about his failure with the ECW Brand, drawing particular attention to the way Vince didn't care about it and wanted to c*** all over the prestigious legacy. Vince scoffs that ECW was ever prestigious and is about to continue lambasting ECW when Styles grabs the mic back. Joey tells Vince that he couldn't take the fact that ECW was loved and respected by many people, and that they brought the WWF and WCW up-to-date with what the world wanted. Vince gets angrier by the second as Joey asks if Vince really expected to hear this tonight, that the spirit of ECW is alive and well. Just the sentence to push Vince over the edge. Vince: "ECW WAS NOTHING! NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT I CREATED! YOU WILL BOTH GET ON YOUR KNEES, BEG FOR YOUR JOBS AND CONFIRM THAT ECW IS DEAD!" If he was expecting something, he sure didn't get it. Tazz point blank refused and nodded. Vince: "Well then, this leads me to one solution . . . YOU'RE FIRED!" Tazz and Styles look p*****, until an unexpected visitor makes his way to the stage . . . (B-) That Son Of Mine . . . Hornswoggle appears! He nervously picks up a mic left out on the stage and calls Vince Dad, and anxiously smiles as Vince grimaces and asks what business he has out here. He says he made a little mistake. See, he was in his Dad's office when some guys came round and asked him to sign some paperwork. He wanted to go annoy the Coach for a bit, but these men wanted him to sign first, so he did. He says that Mr. Regal ('the one with the long hair and big nose!') made him come out here to tell Vince he . . he . . Vince angrily asks what, as Hornswoggle gulps. Hornswoggle: "I accidentally gave Joey Styles and Tazz contracts that said they couldn't be fired. I'm sorry Dad!" He runs off after saying this, leaving Vince shocked . . . (C) Not So Fast Vince turns round to see Joey Styles smiling. Vince tries to beg off, but gets a punch to the face! Vince stumbles back . . . Tazzmission! Vince gets choked out while Styles throws The Coach from the ring, and Styles gets some kicks to the stomach of Vince! Tazz finally releases Vince and dusts his jacket, and Styles and Tazz leave the ring to huge pops and chants of ECW! (B) This Partner Is Extreme After a commercial break, Kennedy and Orton have made their way to the ring. Lashley makes his entrance with a mic as we return. He tells Orton and Kennedy that he has found just the man to help him tonight, who knows Orton especially well. The crowd are surprised as Mick Foley appears! (B-) --------------- Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy vs. Bobby Lashley and Mick Foley Orton and Kennedy are definitely surprised about Foley, and it works to their disadvantage at first, with Foley using his brawling and Lashley with brute power. But a lucky break ensues for Orton and Kennedy, who isolate Foley, who can only get brief flurries of offence in before being dismantled technically. Orton also uses his ringtime to enrage Lashley, who he continually taunts and cheapshots, while Lashley can't fight back as the referee forces him from the ring, and Kennedy and Orton use this opportunity to illegally double team Foley. Foley evades Orton and nearly makes the tag to Lashley, but is cut off by a sleeper from Orton. Foley pulls towards his corner, and manages to escape the sleeper by falling to a seated position in an inverted jawbreaker, making the hot tag to Lashley, who starts to dominate Kennedy and Orton. Kennedy however pulls Lashley to the outside and pushes him against the steps, with Lashley falling in the exact same position that led to his injured shoulder last time. Kennedy begins his run up, but is caught by Mr. Socko! Foley continues to beat on Kennedy on the outside as Lashley gets into the ring, poised and ready for the Spear. Orton turns and . . jumps over Lashley, who goes to the turnbuckle! He turns round and Orton pokes him in the eye, and calls Lashley a screw-up and loser. He is admonished by the referee, and ends up taking a huge Spear while he is distracted! Lashley doesn't stop here though, and continually pounds Orton, ignoring the ref's pleas. The referee is pushed by Lashley when he goes to haul him off, and the bell is rung. Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy def. Mick Foley and Bobby Lashley via disqualification. (B+) --------------- Kennedy grins on the ramp and helps Orton up it, who is barely conscious, but safe in the knowledge that he and Kennedy are in the WWE Championship Tournament. Lashley, who looks furious at the fact he's missed out on the tournament, goes to attack them some more, but is held back by Foley, when suddenly from the titantron . . . All the competitors don't know what to make of the video, as confusion reigns when Raw goes off the air! Final Rating: B- Comments anyone? :) Predictions: Wink 4/6 chris caulfield 4/6 flamebrain 5/6 Midnightnick 5/6 Congrats again, and still no 6/6's!
