UFC 79 (December) Michael Bisping beat Drew McFedries by TKO Cole Miller beat Mac Danzig by Submission Chuck Liddell beat Houston Alexander by KO Mirko Cro Cop beat Frank Mir by UD Karo Parysian beat Ryo Chonan by Submission Wanderlei Silva beat Tito Ortiz by UD Dan Henderson beat Anderson Silva by TKO to win the UFC Middleweight Title UFC 80 (January) Evan Tanner beat Michael Bisping by UD Georges St Pierre beat Jon Fitch by UD Josh Barnett beat Andrei Arlovski by KO Sokoudjou beat Forrest Griffin by UD Rich Franklin beat Yushin Okami by KO Sean Sherk beat Takanori Gomi by UD to Retain the UFC Lightweight Title Mauricio Rua beat Quinton Jackson by KO to Win the UFC LHW Title Fedor Emelianenko beat Randy Couture by KO to Win the UFC HW Title UFC 81 (January) Mike Swick beat Hayato Sakurai by UD Antonio Rogerio Nogueira beat Rashad Evans by UD Brandon Vera beat Gabriel Gonzaga by UD Roger Huerta beat Mac Danzig by KO Michael Bisping beat Phil Baroni by TKO (lol) Diego Sanchez beat Karo Parysian by TKO Vitor Belfort beat Houston Alexander by UD Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira beat Brock Lesnar by UD BJ Penn beat Shinya Aoki by UD UFC 82 (March) Evan Tanner beat Anderson Silva by Submission Aleksander Emelianenko beat Andrei Arlovski by KO Diego Sanchez beat Georges St Pierre by KO Vitor Belfort beat Forrest Griffin by TKO Sokoudjou beat Tito Ortiz by TKO Josh Barnett beat Mirko Cro Cop by Submission Chuck Liddell beat Wanderlei Silva by KO Joe Stevenson beat Roger Huerta by UD Matt Hughes beat Matt Serra by TKO to win the UFC WW Title UFC 83 (April) Zelg Galesic beat Ed Herman by UD Karo Parysian beat Joe Doerksen by TKO Joachim Hansen beat Manny Gamburyan by UD Marcus Davis beat Hayato Sakurai by UD Gabriel Gonzaga beat Frank Mir by KO Thiago Silva beat Jason Lambert by UD Jason McDonald beat Yushin Okami by TKO Gilbert Melendez beat Takanori Gomi by TKO Sean Sherk beat BJ Penn by TKO to retain the UFC LW Title UFC 84 (April) Melvin Guillard beat Nathan Diaz by UD Clay Guida beat Roger Huerta by TKO Aleksander Emelianenko beat Fabricio Werdum by TKO Kenny Florian beat Joe Stevenson by UD Rich Franklin beat Dan Henderson by TKO to win the UFC MW Title Antonio Rogerio Nogueira beat Mauricio Rua by TKO to win UFC LHW Title Sokoudjou beat Quinton Jackson by UD Fedor Emelianenko beat Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira by TKO to retain UFC HW Title UFC 85 (June) Matt Serra beat Jon Fitch by UD Roger Huerta beat Gray Maynard by KO Joe Stevenson beat Din Thomas by UD Vitor Belfort beat Rashad Evans by TKO Georges St Pierre beat Mike Swick by TKO Randy Couture beat Brock Lesnar by Submission Matt Hughes beat Diego Sanchez by TKO to retain UFC WW Title UFC 86 (July) David Terrell beat Anderson Silva by Submission (lol!) As you can see, theres way too many upsets. I think the game makes upsets happen for upsets sake which is lame. Cro Cop seems to have really deteriorated in skills, which suggests to me that the fighters skills go up and down depending on their wins and losses. Current Champions LW: Gilbert Melendez WW: GSP MW: Evan Tanner LHW: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira HW: Fedor Emelianenko w/ 2 Defences Rankings HW 1. Fedor Emelianenko 2. Aleksander Emelianenko 3. I still enjoy playing it because Im a big fan of MMA and theres nothing else like this, but I think alot of work needs to be done on this game before you can justify charging people money for it. The interface is poor, the fight engine seems to produce upsets for upsets sake. So many of the matches follow the pattern of 1 guy winning for 2 and a half rounds and then getting knocked out in the dying seconds. I dont know why we cant see the fighters stats in game instead of a vague message saying "hes good at kicks". Another gripe I have is the way the stats have been assigned in the templates and by the guys making the mods. Alot of what would be high level fighters in real life have certain stats that are in the 30s which is ridiculous. All the top fighters in real life are well rounded, there is way too much difference between a fighters strengths and his weaknesses which leads to really one dimensional fighters. I know you were probably just following the templates, but common sense needs to be applied as well.

Another thing that may have led to some upsets is your use of many fighters in back to back months, and at least one occasion when one fighter was used three months in a row (may be more, just did a quick glance, and actually that fighter won 2 of his 3 fights) My knowledge of MMA is basic, but it seems to me that many fighters only have three, four fights A YEAR, and some of the bigger names only fight twice a year...meaning most guys should be off at LEAST three months between fights... I have yet to buy the game (doing so next week) but was curious if the lack of rest after fights for the ones you simmed may be part of the problem...

I suggest using the MMA Complete mod. I liked Tap or Snap and thought it was fun. But I grabbed MMA Complete over the weekend and ran through 3 years, and saw a very-very realistic outcome to most fights. Pretty much whatever Blurcat predicted before the fight is how it went down, with a few exceptions. However, another thing to think about is styles make fights. If you put a hardcore striker with no takedown defense against a wrestler, it's a crapshoot. If the wrestler gets a takedown, he's going to win most likely.. and it decreases the chance of a striker to smash him. As for your 'sigh' over Tim Sylvia beating Rampage. Sylvia would have around a 50 pound weight advantage, plus he has a very anti-Rampage style. Rampage's style isn't necessarily about a KO punch. He likes to manhandle his opponents. He's usually bigger than his opponents. Sylvia likes to avoid strikes, and apply one of two strategies. He'll either stay on the outside and jab or he'll clinch and bully against the cage. So, that's not an upset. Colin Robinson beating Cro Cop is bad, but with the way he's been fighting lately who knows? David Terrell submitting Anderson Silva isn't that much of an upset. Anderson has a nice guard off his back, but he's always been a bit prone to the submission game. Wilson Gouveia isn't a bad fighter either and Shogun's style is more tailor-made for stomps, etc. Believe it or not, but the rule settings make a huge deal in this game. Just a few things to keep in mind.

While theres no way to predict how he would be at HW, Rampage has better boxing for sure and I think he'd be stronger than Sylvia in the clinch. Cro Cop has had a couple blips in his career but hes still one of the top guys I dont care what anyone says. In my game, he has become a local level fighter due to his losses. In the scout page he has 2 strengths and theyre not even strengths theyre like "Has range on his kick". Theres nothing there that would suggest he could beat anyone. The guy is 34 in my game, his skills cant deteriorate that quickly. Anderson Silva is P4P one of the best fighters and a BJJ Black Belt. I allow all strikes to the ground unless the opponent is on his stomach. I'll be posting more cards soon, let me know if theres any matches youd like to see!

MMAInsider.com UFC 90 Preview UFC 90: Sokodjou vs. Nogueira MAIN EVENT Light Heavyweight Bout for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship: Rameau Thierry Sokodjou vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Sokodjou is 8-1, proving his doubters wrong after his explosive rise onto the scene in 2007 - he had a perfect 2008 defeating Forrest Griffin, Tito Ortiz, Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva and now looks to meet Nogueira again for his LHW Title. Sokodjou has already beaten Nogueira and will be looking to use his strength and power advantage to bully Nogueira around the cage. Nogueira had a quiter 2008, beating Rashad Evans and then winning the title from Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua with an impressive TKO victory. Nogueira will be looking to take the fight to the ground where he definately has the advantage. MMAInsider Prediction: If Nogueira can keep his cool and use his slight reach advantage he can beat Sokodjou, but 5 rounds is a long time and we think Sokodjou will eventually break the Champ down and win by TKO. Heavyweight Bout - Aleksander Emelianenko vs. Antonio Silva Fedor's younger brother has been the top contender for the most part of 2008 with a 4-match winning streak since his arrival to the UFC. Having defeated Cheick Kongo, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum and Heath Herring - Aleks has acted as the guard dog to Fedor's title, keeping all potential contenders at bay with impressive victories. He will be looking to use his impressive strength and wrestling skills to pound his way to victory. Antonio Silva is 12-1 and coming off an impressive knock-out win against Randy Couture. He has dangerous hands both standing and on the ground, and is very deadly with his kicks. He will be looking to land some bombs on Aleks, who has been felled before by dangerous striker Mirko Cro Cop. MMAInsider's Prediction: Antonio Silva could win this match at any point, however Aleks will be too fast and too explosive for him. If Aleks can stay tight and not leave himself open we can see him winning by Decision. Middleweight Bout - Dan Henderson vs. Michael Bisping Dan Henderson is looking to get his title back after losing to Rich Franklin by a TKO upset earlier on this year. He will first have to get past Michael Bisping who since dropping down to Middleweight has notched up an impressive 4-1 record scoring wins over Phil Baroni, Nate Quarry and most recently Karo Parysian. Henderson will be looking to expose Bispings' weak wrestling but must be wary of his competent striking both standing and on the ground. Bisping needs to take the initiative if he is to win, and gamble with some takedown attempts. His ground and pound is dangerous and we predict that will be his gameplan. MMAInsider Prediction: Bisping is a competent fighter very capable of winning this fight. Both fighters are quite similar so we think conditioning will play a big part. Bisping has been very busy this year whilst Henderson hasn't fought since April. Despite this, we predict Henderson will win by TKO in the 2nd round. Light Heavyweight Bout - Mauricio Rua vs. Vitor Belfort Mauricio Rua is currently on a 2-match losing streak and will be looking to defeat Belfort to get back into the LHW title scene. Belfort on the other hand was enjoying a steady climb to the top until he slipped up against Matt Hamill, he will be looking to prove to the world that he belongs in the Top 10 of the LHW division by defeating Mauricio Rua in what should be an exciting matchup. Both fighters possess dangerous standup game, especially the knees. Mauricio Rua will be more confident on the ground as the better submission fighter of the two. This will either be a very close fight or a brutal KO win for one of these warriors. MMAInsider Prediction: Belfort could pull it off but we think Rua will come in shape and hungry to get his title back. Mauricio Rua by KO in the Second Round. Lightweight Bout - Kenny Florian vs. Mitsuhiro Ishida Coming off a loss to Roger Huerta, Florian will be looking to get back up the Lightweight ranks but will have to face respected groundfighter Mitsuhiro Ishida who makes his UFC debut. Both fighters are unimpressive strength-wise and will be looking to take this to the floor. This is one for the hardcore fans, and will most likely turn into a grappling match. Florian is more of a threat in regards to standup, but not enough that he would base his whole gameplan on it. MMAInsider Prediction: This fight will likely go all the way to a decision. Ishida hasn't been fighting at the highest level in a while so we think Florian will win by Split Decision. Heavyweight Bout - Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Colin Robinson After his loss to Fedor Emelianenko, Nogueira will be looking to climb back up the ranks as he persists towards the UFC Heavyweight Title. Colin Robinson has revived his career with two impressive wins over Jake O'Brien and Mirko Cro Cop and will be looking to shock the world in this Heavyweight Bout. Nogueira will be looking to take the fight to the ground, using his masterful Jiu Jitsu to get a submission victory. He will need to be methodical and focused and not underestimate Colin Robinson. Robinson has dangerous ground and pound and will be looking to take Nogueira down, thats the key to him winning this match. If he can prevent being put on his back, he stands a good chance of winning. MMAInsider Prediction: Nogueira should outclass Robinson with a 3rd Round Submission Victory. Light Heavyweight Bout - Wanderlei Silva vs. Wilson Gouveia Silva has had a disappointing 2008 with 2 losses to Chuck Liddell and Sokodjou. He will be looking to get back to winning ways but will have to overcome Wilson Gouveia who is coming off an impressive win to Mauricio Shogun Rua. Wanderlei will be looking to lure Gouveia into a slugfest and use his superior striking and dangerous clinch fighting. He will need to draw out the old Wanderlei that was so dominant in the Pride era if he is to win this fight. Gouveia is not to be counted out, he is a dangerous submission fighter and fairly competent with his hands both standing and on the ground. If he comes to the fight in shape and with a good gameplan he could potentially pull off a huge upset. MMAInsider Prediction: This will be a close fight, Wanderlei will have something to prove and will come ready to bang. We think he will win by KO in the 2nd round. -------------- EDIT: Wanderlei Silva announced a shock retirement after sustaining a career ending injury during sparring in training. The fighter commented: "It is unfortunate that I cannot fight Gouveia. I am 32 years old and by the time I recover from this I will not be able to show the fans the old Wanderlei. I am disappointed that I had to retire coming off two losses, but I hope the fans can remember the highlights of my career and the great matches I brought them. My contract with the UFC was amicably terminated and Dana White will be announcing Gouveia's opponent later today." MMAInsider News: Arona steps up to the plate! Brazilian Fighter Ricardo Arona stepped up to the plate, claiming he needed a win and saw Gouveia as an easy opponent. Gouveia did not comment and said he does his talking in the cage. EDIT 2 (Why do fighters retire even though theyre booked to fight.) Dan Henderson leaves UFC. In a shocking announcement, Dan Henderson had his contract with the UFC terminated. Rumours are going around the Internet that Henderson was involved in betting on fellow fighters alongside other UFC fighters. Dana White decided to terminate his contract to prevent any bad publicity on the rest of his organisation. It is said that several other fighters are under investigation. Murilo Ninja Rua has taken the fight on very short notice. Claiming that he had been training for UFC 91 but sees the fight against Bisping as a good opportunity to quickly get up the Middleweight ranks at the UFC. PREDICTIONS Rameau Thierry Sokodjou vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Aleksander Emelianenko vs. Antonio Silva MURILO RUA vs. Michael Bisping Mauricio Rua vs. Vitor Belfort Kenny Florian vs. Mitsuhiro Ishida Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Colin Robinson RICARDO ARONA vs. Wilson Gouveia I will post the results in a few hours. Enjoy.

Also the MMA Complete Mod tripled in size over a week and a half time period. Afterwards we have taken a break to research ways to fix the problems in the data (upsets and company size). The data has been collected on both issues and the adjustments will be made within the next couple weeks.

So Rampage moved up to 206 pounds? That's still a 49 pound weight difference. It makes a huge difference. Trust me. Look at how Brandon Vera(who's good in the clinch) did against Tim Sylvia in their fight. Completely atrocious, Sylvia babied him around the entire fight. And no, Rampage is awful in the clinch, or at least he was before coming to the UFC, and people generally don't become top level at something that fast. I honestly believe Cro Cop's problem isn't that he's a bad fighter, but he's stubborn. He still primarily only works on striking and his takedown defense. He works with Dean Lister and Werdum, but I don't think he takes the ground game seriously. The problem with that is the mystique of Mirko's game plan is gone. People have figured out that if you put pressure on him and you have good strike defence, 9 times out of 10 you can win. I honestly think Mirko is going to be hard pressed to beat any top competition ever again unless he starts cross-training more heavily and he's all but said he's not interested in doing that. As for Anderson Silva, I'm well aware of how good he is. My favorite fight camp was Chute Boxe(before all the good fighters left). I've seen Anderson fight countless times, and I also know that he's very prone to submissions. He's got very long limbs, and that works against him a lot of the time. That being said, he's improved ten fold since he came to the UFC. That doesn't change the fact that he can still get caught in a sub. Lutter almost triangled him, and if Travis hadn't been so tired from trying to cut the additional weight , might have done so. :) But something I've noticed that is really beginning to piss me off is no matter what mod I play(even if I make these guys myself) Cro Cop and Rampage always lose, always. In my Tap or Snap game Rampage went 0-6 before I just stopped using him. Got KO'd by Stephan Bonnar, Forrest Griffin, Arona, Shogun and then two cans I tried to feed him.... yeah. But since I've started using Complete, Quinton is 3-1 so far(taking long time off between fights) with two KO wins over Wanderlei, a TKO of Forrest Griffin and he recently lost the Light Heavyweight title in his rematch from PRIDE against Shogun. Mirko's sucking though. I've turned him into a special feature though. So I feel your pain... but like I said, try out MMA Complete if you aren't already using it. It's my opinion that it's the best mod out there right now for real data and it's always improving. I'm three years in and the only upset I've had is Brad Pickett beating Urijah Faber for my UFC Featherweight title(I got rid of WEC and merged them into UFC).

Surely if a guy moves up a weight class he is going to try and pack on some size, hes not going to fight at 1 pound heavier. I am using MMAComplete. I think alot of my problems with it actually stem from the Game Engine itself. Either way, these were the results of UFC 90: Wilson Gouveia beat Ricardo Arona by 1st round Knock Out Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira beat Colin Robinson by UD Mitsuhiro Ishida beat Kenny Florian by UD Mauricio Rua beat Vitor Belfort by UD Michael Bisping beat Murilo Rua by UD Antonio Silva beat Aleksander Emelianenko by 2nd round Knock Out Antonio Rogerio Nogueira beat Sokodjou by 2nd round Knock Out to retain the UFC LHW Title. The card was not well received by the audience, only the Main Event received a good rating of 4 stars everything else was 2 or 3 star. The next card will be the end of year card and will feature Fedor Emelianenko defending his title for the 3rd time against Tim Sylvia as well as the rematch between Gilbert Melendez and Sean Sherk for the UFC Lightweight Title. I will post the preview in a couple hours.

UFC 91: Fedor vs. Sylvia The end of year show is upon and the UFC has lined up a really impressive card. The fights will be taking place in Florida on the last Saturday of the month. UFC Heavyweight Title Match: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Tim Sylvia Since his arrival to the UFC, Fedor has been unstoppable - further cementing his claim as the greatest MMA fighter of all time. This will be his fourth test of the 2008 calendar year after impressive wins over Nogueira, Randy Couture and Josh Barnett. Tim Sylvia has been patiently waiting on the sidelines whilst the others got their title shot, and after two solid decision wins over Quinton Jackson and Alaistar Overeem - is finally ranked high enough to challenge for Fedor's belt. There is nothing left to say about Fedor's abilities that hasn't been said already. He is extremely well rounded in every area and has no visible weaknesses. Tim Sylvia will be looking to use his reach advantage to score points with his excellent striking. He also has a height and weight advantage of 30 pounds which he will be looking to use to his advantage. MMAInsider Prediction: It will take an incredible performance for anyone to beat Fedor at the moment. We think that while Tim Sylvia is a capable contender, Fedor will be took for much him in every area and will win by TKO in the 3rd round. Heavyweight Bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Randy Couture Quinton Jackson has had a tough year with 3 straight losses and will be looking to get back on track but will have to overcome Randy Couture who is also looking to climb back up the ranks. Jackson will be looking forward to facing Couture who is one of the smaller Heavyweights at around 220lbs. His last fight to Sylvia showed that he needs to bulk up if he is to compete in the Heavyweight Division, at around 210lbs Rampage is definately one of the lighter Heavyweights around. Jackson's wrestling is very dangerous and once he gets you on the ground he has lethal power in his hands to finish the job. He's also a skilled boxer as he has shown in his career and poses a threat pretty much everywhere. Couture is aging, now at 45 years old parts of his game are starting to decay. His last couple of fights have shown that he has weak striking in comparison to other high level fighters however his takedowns are exceptional and hes lethal with his ground and pound. MMAInsider: Couture will be a threat if he can take Jackson down, but we think Jackson will come in with the right gameplan and will outstrike Couture. We think 3rd round Knockout to Jackson. Light Heavyweight Bout: Thiago Silva vs. Lyoto Machida Thiago Silva needs a win over one of those top guys to prove he deserves the title shot and Machida is looking to take Silva's head in order to rise up the ranks and get a title shot himself. This will be a mental battle more than physical, Machida is known for a patient and methodical approach whilst Silva has been known to be rash and inpatient in his fighting style. Will Silva make a mistake? Will Machida be too defensive? Its a tough one to call. MMAInsider Prediction: Its a really tough one to call. We think Silva will win by TKO by constantly putting Machida under pressure and eventually making him slip up. Welterweight Bout: Diego Sanchez vs. Mike Swick These two fighters are both coming off losses to top guys in the Welterweight Division and will be looking to get another opportunity to prove themselves by winning this match and climbing up the ranks. Sanchez is well rounded, but has fallen short as of late with 2 consecutive losses. Whilst those losses were against good fighters, Sanchez has shown that he hasn't been able to step up his game to make the big time. How he comes back will be what determines the outcome of this fight. Mike Swick is coming off a defeat against Georges St Pierre. Hes a good wrestler and dangerous with his hands as he showed against Hayato Sakurai in that impressive win earlier in the year. MMAInsider.com Prediction: Sanchez will be slightly better in all areas but if Swick comes in great shape and ready to fight he could pull it off. Mike Swick by Decision Lightweight Bout: Joachim Hansen vs. Shinya Aoki Pride fans will enjoy this rematch between the two lightweight fighters. This match is truly a clash of styles, Hansen favours the standup game while Aoki's strengths lie on the ground. Aoki got the win last time, but will he pull it off again in this eagerly anticipated rematch. Hansen brings good standup game, has dangerous hands and feet and is lethal in the clinch. His ground game is not to be taken lightly and he has the potential to win the match anywhere. Aoki is a great submission fighter and possesses very strong wrestling. He is coming off two impressive wins to Hermes Franca and Joe Stevenson and will be looking to get his title shot by winning this match. MMAInsider Prediction: This is a tough one to call. Hansen seems more well rounded and more dangerous with his striking. Its likely that Aoki will win the ground war however and we think he will win by Submission in the 2nd round. Light Heavyweight Bout: Alessio Sakara vs. Forrest Griffin Both fighters are slowly climbing up the LHW ranks coming off victories earlier this year. Sakara pulled off a big upset to beat Ricardo Arona whilst Griffin showed his talent in a decisive win over Jason Lambert. Sakara has been known to be a little one dimensional, weak on the ground and lacking any serious wrestling. He has dangerous hands and great boxing technique which gives him a puncher's chance against anyone at 205. Griffin will want to take him to the ground and exploit that weakness in order to win this match. MMAInsider: It wouldnt be a huge upset if Sakara scored a knockout but if Forrest is careful and sticks to his gameplan he'll have no problem winning this fight with a 3rd round TKO. Heavyweight Bout: Mirko Cro Cop vs. Eddie Sanchez

Results of UFC 91 Tim Sylvia beat Fedor Emelianenko by 1st round Knock Out and is the new UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture beat Quinton Jackson by 3rd Round TKO - 5 Star Match Lyoto Machida beat Thiago Silva by UD Diego Sanchez beat Mike Swick by UD Joachim Hansen beat Shinya Aoki by UD Forrest Griffin beat Alessio Sakara by Submission Mirko Cro Cop beat Eddie Sanchez by 1st Round Knock Out --- Wow, Tim Sylvia the man who finally defeats Fedor. Who'd have thunk it? I wonder if Fedor will be able to come back from his first legit defeat in his career. Mirko Cro Cop is back after a disastrous 4 match losing streak and Randy Couture proving you can still fight at 45 years of age! --- PS. I edited Cro Cop's stats to something more realistic. All his stats had dropped to like 3%, I dont know why the game did this but im guessing there are some hidden stats that affect a certain fighters growth and peak and when they deteriorate. Which explains why Cro Cop had been getting smacked about by everyone in the game. --- Rankings after UFC 91 HW Champion and #1: Tim Sylvia #2: Antonio Silva #3: Fedor Emelianenko #4: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira #5: Josh Barnett #6: Aleksander Emelianenko #7: Randy Couture #8: Alistair Overeem #9: Mirko Cro Cop #10: Gabriel Gonzaga The HW Division has been shaken up by Fedor's loss and Aleksander's demise. The Emelianenko brothers lost the firm grip they had on the HW division during the year. There will now be many guys looking to prove themselves for a title shot and surely Fedor will want to get back there himself as soon as possible. LHW #1 and Champion: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira #2: Rameau Thierry Sokodjou #3: Wilson Gouveia #4: Lyoto Machida #5: Mauricio Rua #6: Thiago Silva #7: Renato Sobral #8: Keith Jardine #9: Forrest Griffin #10: Vitor Belfort Machida only moves up 2 spots after his win to Silva. Sokodjou will be facing Nogueira in a rubber match for the UFC LHW Title sometime next year. Gouveia will have to get 1 big win before he qualifies for the title shot, hes likely to take on Rua or Jardine who are both looking to fight sometime in early 2009. MW - No change as there were no MW Bouts on this card. WW - Not much change, Diego Sanchez moves up to #4 still needs another big win before he can get a title shot. Will either face Hughes or Serra depending on who fights GSP in early 2009. LW - Joachim Hansen moves up to #3 and will be getting the next title shot.

I don't like Tim Sylvia at all. I think he's a boring fighter but I'd be willing to bet he'd give Fedor a run for his money under UFC rules. Under PRIDE rules I'm not sure that there's anyone that can beat Fedor. That card seemed pretty realistic aside from Sylvia KOing Fedor in the first round. I couldn't really see that happening unless he cut him. Fedor cuts extremely easy, always has. Weird still.

Weird still.
Yeh that was a weird result, I mean I thought Fedor would lose at sometime but I didnt think Tim Sylvia would be the one to beat him. Sylvia was on a winning streak but he'd been fighting lower ranked guys. But yeh, it definately opens up the HW division. Fedor won't be getting a rematch straight away. He'll have to beat a top 5 ranker before he gets another title shot. And now that Ive given Cro Cop a bit of a boost in stats he'll be climbing up the ranks. He got to 9th after that win. My Heavyweight Division is stacked, so many good guys. Couture is on the way back up. Aleksander is dangerous. Josh Barnett. Nogueira. Quinton Jackson is still dangerous despite losing alot of fights. (To be fair theyve all been to elite level fighters) The other orgs are terrible. Their size is really over inflated, the number 2 ranked promotion is 'Enormous' and alot of their divisions dont even have enough guys for a Top 10. They are slowly filling out as I get rid of the lesser fighters in my roster but I checked their shows and they rarely get over 3 star matches. Makes me wonder why they are 'Enormous'. Yet another thing that needs to be fixed in the game ;)
