Ryzing tried to wrestle dirty against Flair, but he knew what was coming before any blows landed their mark, and Flair showed him how it was done with a poke to the eyes, then a chop block. Flair then went to work on the knee of Ryzing, and after several elbow drops to the knee and then a shinbreaker, Flair locked in the Figure Four Leglock and got a victory heading into Halloween Havoc. [SIZE="3"][B]Winner: Ric Flair Match Time: 6:31 Match Rating: C[/B][/SIZE] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Ric Flair was celebrating his victory, then all of a sudden the WCW International Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude made his way down to the ring. Flair saw this and went for a big clothesline on Rude, but Rude was able to duck under this and he quickly hit a low blow on Flair. This sent Flair straight down to the mat, and Rude decided to lay the boots to him. He stomped away on Flair, then took his championship belt and held it down into the face of Flair, as to say that the title belt was his, and it was not going anywhere else at Halloween Havoc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rick Rude requested a microphone from ringside after he beat Flair down to his satisfaction. [COLOR="Navy"][U]Rick Rude[/U] Flair, you think that you can just run in whenever I’m conducting business in the ring like I was with Cactus Jack last night? I don’t think so. Rick Rude does what he wants, when he wants, and no has been like you is going to be standing in my way. Regal controlled the early action with some great technical moves, but Simmons used his power to turn the tide of his match, and it looked like he was on the path to winning the Television Championship from Regal. Simmons then said it was over and hoisted Regal up in the air for the Dominator, but Diamond Dallas Page appeared out of nowhere and pulled the feet of Regal, keeping him from delivering the move. Simmons then pulled Page up into the ring and went to get payback, but Page ducked and nailed the Diamond Cutter, and DQ’ing Regal in the process. [SIZE="3"][B]Winner by DQ: Ron Simmons Match Time: 9:45 Match Rating: C+[/B][/SIZE] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the attack, Page grabs a microphone from ringside and struts up to the downed body of Ron Simmons. [COLOR="DarkGreen"][U]Diamond Dallas Page[/U] So you think it was funny when you made fun of me last night? I don’t think so Ron. Last week I pushed you to the limit and we had a time limit draw, but I’m ready to push you past your limit and beat you 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring. The Blondes controlled much of the match with their great teamwork, but Bagwell and Scorpio quickly fought back with their caution to the wind attitude. Bagwell took Austin down with a neckbreaker, then Scorpio went for his awe inspiring 450 Splash, but Austin rolled out of the way. He then beat Scorpio to his feet and nailed the Stun Gun and got the victory. He couldn’t take Sid Vicious down though. After dropkick after dropkick he decided that he would need to go up to the top to take Sid down. He lept to the top, then flew off for a crossbody, but Sid caught him and drilled a fallaway slam on Steamboat. Sid then toyed around with Steamboat for a couple more minutes, but Steamboat came back and started double handed chopping Sid around the ring, but Sid reversed a move from Steamboat and then spiked him to the mat with his deadly Powerbomb and got a big victory. [SIZE="3"][B]Winner: Sid Vicious Match Time: 11:48 Match Rating: C[/B][/SIZE] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Sid stood over the downed by of Ricky Steamboat as his partner for Halloween Havoc, Big Van Vader made his way out to the ring. They stood over Steamboat as Harley Race grabbed a microphone from ringside. [COLOR="DarkRed"][U]Harley Race[/U] Sting, Hawk, you have just two weeks left before Sid and Vader end your careers in the Halloween Horrors match. But right now we are going to end the career of your friend Ricky Steamboat, and we know that you two aren’t going to do anything about it, because your both laid up in the hospital after your were taken out by Sid and Vader last night. And that’s nothing compared to what they will do to you at Halloween Havoc. Now without further ado, let’s wipe Steamboat out of WCW fellas.[/COLOR] The fans were on their feet waiting for somebody to sprint down to the ring to help Steamboat, but it was suspense that never came to a head as the two men forced Steamboat up to his feet, then they nailed him with a double powerbomb, and when it became apparent that nobody was there to help Steamboat the fans let out a huge boo as Vader held his WCW World Heavyweight Championship high in the air, and Sid Vicious looked very pleased to be standing next to such a powerhouse as Vader. [SIZE="3"][B]Final Rating: C[/B][/SIZE] [/FONT][/CENTER] [QUOTE]Well that's two shows ruined by bad chemistry. I've had six bad chemistry matches in four shows, and zero good ones. The main event quality performers was followed up by a main event performance by both competitors. Razor Ramon, being a young talent, really seemed to be picking some things up from an older wrestler like Backlund. This being Bob Backlund first match in a while is what was more of a surprise factor. These guys just had unbelievable amount of chemistry without even being the same type of wrestler or being in matches together. This match really set the tone for the rest of the night. Razor Ramon was able to get the victory in this one with a Razor's Edge and a pin on Bob Backlund. With that being said, there are some other very important things happening tonight. "Macho Man" Randy Savage will be taking on Diesel in their first round match of the #1 Contender Tournament for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. What are your thoughts on that match, Jerry? [COLOR="Red"][U]Jerry "The King" Lawler[/U] It should be one hell of a match, but I think Diesel will come out on top. Diesel has the youth advantage, and from my experiences, that usually comes out on top. Also Vince, The Steiner Brothers will be taking on The Quebecers for a shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championship. Without Johnny Polo at ringside, The Quebecers didn't really have anything to do. The Steiner Brothers this began to dominate and there was no stopping them. Their mat skills took over and it kept The Quebecers at bay. Scott Steiner got the pin victory over Pierre with The Frankensteiner. This gives The Steiner Brothers a shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championship. This match had good pace and it got the crowd on it's feet. Owen Hart started to dominate the match with a series of suplexes and dropkicks. Owen Hart then tried to put "The Model" in his brother's Sharpshooter, but Martel rolled Hart up for the pin victory. It was power against the aerial assault of Randy Savage. Diesel had the answer to every single one of Savage's air attacks. Every time Savage would go up, Diesel was there to reverse the move. Savage was forced to take it to the ground, which Diesel was able to control. Things started to turn around when the match went outside. Diesel wasn't able to regain control after "Macho Man" was able to knock Diesel off the apron and into the steel steps. Diesel would set up Savage for The Jackknife, but Savage reversed it. "Macho Man" then went up top and hit The Flying Elbow for the victory. This moved Randy Savage one step closer in the #1 Contender Tournament for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Yeah, that feud may have the best match ratings out of any of the other title feuds. Yokozuna vs. Hart is really good, but I think Mr. Perfect vs. Ramon could get to the A+ level, like Luger vs. DiBiase did.

Luna Vachon got Bam Bam Bigelow pumped up for the match, odd couple but it works for the both of them, they seem to enjoy each others presence. The Undertaker made quick work of "The Model" and it shows that The Undertaker deserved his spot in the the #1 Contender Tournament for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. The Undertaker drilled Martel with a Tombstone Piledriver for the victory and his advancement in the #1 Contender Tournament. He got in the ring and was ready to nail Cactus Jack with it, but Chris Benoit appeared out of nowhere and stole the chair out of Rhodes’ hand, then Jack rolled up a stunned Rhodes, giving him an upset victory. Sid powered his way into complete control with a bear hug on Hawk, and it looked as if the face painted warrior was about out of steam. Then all of a sudden Hawk got a surge of energy and he took Sid down with multiple clotheslines. It looked like Hawk was going to put it away, then the WCW World Champion Big Van Vader made his way down to the ring. Hawk didn’t see him coming, either did the ref. Hawk then tried bouncing off the ropes, and Vader pulled them down and Hawk went flying out of the ring. Vader quickly threw Hawk back in the ring to a waiting Sid, and he nailed him with a Powerbomb and got the victory. [SIZE="3"][B]Winner: Sid Vicious Match Time: 9:47 Match Rating: B-[/B][/SIZE] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The WCW fans then felt some déjà vu as Vader entered the ring, and the two big men started stalking Road Warrior Hawk around the ring. Page wore down Steamboat looking to slow down his quick strike offense, and it looked to be working. Page then set Steamboat up for the Diamond Cutter, but Steamboat was able to slip out then hit a vicious kick to the chest of Page. This gave Steamboat time to go up top, and when Page got up Steamboat nailed his Flying Crossbody and got the three count. [B][SIZE="3"]Winner: Ricky Steamboat Match Time: 7:58 Match Rating: B-[/SIZE][/B] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After the match Ricky Steamboat heads to the back, and when the door opens Ron Simmons steps out and walks right past Steamboat, who just keeps walking to the back. Simmons marches into the ring, and he’s got one thing on his mind…revenge. He marches right into the ring, and when Page comes to he looks up and sees that Ron Simmons is staring him in the eye. Simmons charges at Page, then takes him down with a nice clothesline. He ran around the ring as Flair chased him, and when the two would lock up Rude would quickly back off, not wanting to get hurt eight days before his main event title defense against Flair at Halloween Havoc. Flair finally got Rude where he wanted him, but Rude quickly got away and exited the ring again. The fans were getting very irritated at Rude, so Flair wanted to please them and he went right out after Rude. What Flair didn’t see though is that Rude grabbed the Big Gold Belt, then drove it into Flair’s face, earning an instant DQ. [SIZE="3"][B]Winner by DQ: Ric Flair Match Time: 12:25 Match Rating: B[/B][/SIZE] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ After the match Rude posed, then dragged Flair back into the ring. Rude posed over Flair some more, then he forced Flair up to his feet. He then set him up for the Rude Awakening, but Flair rolled out of it, then hit a chop block on Rude out of instinct. He then dropped straight down and locked in a Figure Four Leglock on Rude, and Rude was tapping the mat like crazy, wanting Flair to release the hold. Flair refused, and only obliged when security pulled him off. Flair then grabbed the International Heavyweight Title that he held for so long and he looked at it before dropping it back on Rude and heading to the back as the show went off the air. Windham controlled the early goings as Page searched for ways to get away from the former World Champion. He was eventually successful, and he leveled Windham with a beautiful clothesline. Page then controlled the action, and after Windham whiffed on a clothesline of his own Page caught him with the Diamond Cutter and got the victory. He came out strong against Regal, who seemed to be thinking more of his match with Davey Boy Smith at Halloween Havoc than Ricky Steamboat. That almost came back to bite him as Steamboat got several near falls, but Regal was able to power out of them. Steamboat continued to railroad Regal, and he decided that it was time to take his gold back as he headed up top. Regal then sprinted to his feet and knocked Steamboat off the top rope. He quickly rolled him up, then pulled the tights for added insurance and got the three count. Kane and Kole used their size and sheer strength to overpower the blondes, but that would only take them so far as Austin and Pillman used their speed and straight up brawling abilities to even the playing field. Kole went for an Axe Kick on Austin, but he missed, allowing Austin to nail the Stun Gun and get the victory in this match. [B][SIZE="3"]Winners: The Hollywood Blondes Match Time: 5:38 Match Rating: C[/SIZE][/B] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Backstage Road Warrior Animal is getting ready for his match by putting the finishing touches on his face paint, when Sting walks into his room. It shows Rick Rude talking a big game, and then Ric Flair trying to take him down to size. He took it straight to Vader, and even took him over the top rope after about four clothesline. Vader crawled back into the ring and went right back at Animal, but he was taken hard to the mat with a massive shoulder block. Harley Race began yelling something, and that brought Sid Vicious out to ringside, and it seems that this match was nothing but a trap. They both surrounded Animal, and he quickly began to fight back, and the referee rang the bell. [B][SIZE="3"]Winner by DQ: Road Warrior Animal Match Time: 7:23 Match Rating: C+[/SIZE][/B] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Road Warrior Animal was punching Vader and Sid both in the heads, but the numbers game caught up to him and he was taken down from a clubbing blow from Vader. As soon as he hit the mat though Sting and Road Warrior Hawk sprinted from the back. The both took Vader and Vicious out of the ring, then as Main Event went off the air the three men stood with their hands in the air, glad they were finally triumphant at the end of the show over the two monsters. He's holding WCW down in this case, and maybe when he interviews somebody backstage he can tell everybody that the day that interview took place is the greatest day in our sport!
