After a leg of shows in the Tri-State area, WWF is back home in New England. Tonight they are at the home of the Celtics and Bruins, The Boston Garden. Vince McMahon Hello and welcome to WWF Monday Night Raw! I'm Vince McMahon sitting next to my broadcast partner, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Tonight we get to see two men in action that will be facing each other at WWF Survivor Series later this month. It will be Razor Ramon taking on Tatanka and Mr. Perfect taking on Diesel. Two matches that should be a crowd pleaser, wouldn't you say, Bobby? Bobby "The Brain" Heenan That is absolutely correct, Vince, and I will tell you why. Tonight we get to see Mr. Perfect, the #1 contender for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, take on Diesel. I'm excited for this match up because I think the big man, Diesel, is going to put a limp in Mr. Perfect's step. Also, we get to see the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Razor Ramon, take on that savage beast, Tatanka. I want to see Razor Ramon take care of that guy once and for all. I'm highly excited for tonight, Vince, and it is easy to see why! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ted DiBiase is backstage with his longtime partner in crime, Irwin R. Schyster. Million Dollar Inc. is what they are called and the two had quite a period of terror. It hurts the crowd to see these guys back together. Maybe this is DiBiase's first pick for his Survivor Series team. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase Ha ha ha! Lex Luger, you said you wanted a Survivor Series match and I'm going to give you one. With me is my first pick for my team, my business partner, Irwin R. Schyster. We have won the WWF World Tag Team Championship together and I couldn't think of a better person to get the job done. Me and "IRS" think alike, we think money first, humanity second. That is exactly what I want on my team. If I could have a team full of Ted DiBiase clones I would pick them, but I can't This man is the closest thing to me that I could come up with. If this is the first choice I got, imagine what else I could bring to the table. Lex, I hope you can match the power that I have, but I highly doubt that. Luger, get ready because this is just the start of a team that will not be beat. Ha ha ha! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Model" Rick Martel vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart A good match to open up the month of November. "The Model" came to the ring very arrogantly, but "The Anvil" shut him up pretty early. Neidhart hammered him until Martel couldn't stand anymore. Martel then pulled out all the stops so he could get back into the match. Martel then controlled the match with a series of slams and dropkicks. It looked like Martel was going to get the victory as he just started to nail Neidhart with a series of moves. Neidhart was able to escape the onslaught and took control. "The Anvil" pulled off the upset victory with a Power Slam out of nowhere. Winner: Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart Time: 9:03 Match Rating: B- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The WWF Intercontinental Champion, Razor Ramon is backstage with a microphone in his hand. He is there to hype his match later tonight with Tatanka, but I'm sure he is going to taunt Mr. Perfect while he is at it. Razor Ramon Tonight, Mr. Perfect, we both have matches against some formidable opponents. Mine is against the savage of a man, Tatanka, who has been impressive in his stay with the World Wrestling Federation. But you, you have to go up against one of the most powerful wrestlers I have ever seen. You had to beat Diesel to become the #1 contender for my WWF Intercontinental Championship, but I don't think history will be repeating itself tonight, chico! Tonight, Diesel is going to be hitting you so hard it would be a miracle that you would be able to show your face at Survivor Series. Not that I wouldn't beat you easily if you were somehow able to make it there. Just remember this, bud, you will never touch this gold as long as I'm in this company! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Ross is backstage with "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Ross is probably going to conduct an interview about the best of seven series between Savage and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Jim Ross I welcome at this time "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Randy, you were beat last night on WWF Superstars. That put you down one-to-nothing in the best of seven series to become the #1 Contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. The loss came through a controversial finish, what are your thought on that? "Macho Man" Randy Savage I think it was a pitiful display on Shawn Michaels' part. An attitude like that is only going to put him in a tough spot. That spot being me smacking him right up-side his face! Michaels, you have left me no choice but to become relentless like I was before. You are going to regret what you did to me. Michaels, you could have taken the high road, but no you couldn't be a man. You are luck this thing can only last seven matches because I would have fun whooping you night in and night out! Oh yeah! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tatanka vs. Razor Ramon This was a great match between two power guys and you can trust me, every time someone hit the mat the ring shook. The crowd was really into this one and Tatanka really showed that he deserves to be on the show. The two had great chemistry and they could sell each other very well. The match was pretty fluid and had a great pace to it. It is rather surprising that the two men could put on such a good match with someone as big as they are. Some may say that it was a glorified beating since Ramon did dominate a good chunk of the match. Razor Ramon did pull out the victory after a short match. Ramon hit Tatanka with a Razor's Edge and that was all she wrote. Winner: Razor Ramon Time: 7:58 Match Rating: A ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lex Luger and Bob Backlund are standing backstage. This must be Lex Luger's response to Ted DiBiase's announcement that Irwin R. Schyster is the first person on his team for WWF Survivor Series. Bob Backlund must be Lex Luger's first choice, which is pretty good if I could say so myself. Lex Luger Oh man, I'm shaking in my boots, DiBiase. You have Irwin R. Schyster, is that what is suppose to make me scared? I hate to break it to you, DiBiase, but Schyster doesn't hold a candle to my first choice. His name is Bob Backlund and he is a former WWF World Heavyweight Champion. He is a veteran and has maybe the best wrestling knowledge that I have ever seen. Backlund has made multiple greats tap out. I think that kind of trumps your choice, but we'll find out come WWF Survivor Series. You say that everyone has a price, DiBiase, you have a price to. That price is going to be you hanging up those boots forever at least that is what my team is going to do to you. Ha ha ha! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bret "Hitman" Hart is backstage decked out in his usual attire. He seems to be pretty mad and my guess is that it is about the attack Yokozuna put on him on last night's WWF Superstars. Hart has been getting beaten up as of late and I'm sure that he has built up a lot of anger and he is begging to let it out. Bret "Hitman" Hart Yokozuna, you have been getting the best of me. Every time I think I've got an advantage, you are right there to cut me down. Well that is going to stop for now on, champ! You will never be getting the up on me, because I've got the awareness. I have you figured out and I won't let you attack me anymore. The next time you will even be able to touch me is at WWF Survivor Series and then I don't think you will be able to hurt me. Yokozuna, you are going to wish you had never given me the opportunity to face you for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, because I control your fate. I will be damned you beat me ever again, because I know you like the back of my hand. And for me, I'm the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Perfect vs. Diesel This was an unbelievably good match that really put this show over the top. This main event was destined to be a great match up, but that is what every Mr. Perfect match is like. Diesel showed that for a big man, he can go with the best of them. Mr. Perfect put on a wrestling clinic like only Mr. Perfect can do. He started to show off that technical ability that has gotten him so far in the wrestling business. Diesel showed off that he is truly, the most powerful man in the World Wrestling Federation. Mr. Perfect started to dominate the match, but it all went downhill when Diesel accidentally kicked the referee in the noggin. Then the villain had to show his ugly face and come down to the ring and interfere... Razor Ramon ran down the ramp and came in to attack Mr. Perfect and to aide Diesel in the assault. Razor Ramon went for a massive clothesline on Mr. Perfect, but Mr. Perfect ducked and the WWF Intercontinental Champion blasted Diesel with that massive clothesline. When the referee came to, Mr. Perfect was on top of Diesel and got the three count. Razor Ramon was then chased from the ring by Mr. Perfect. Razor Ramon just sat there in disbelief and amazement. WCW Saturday Night Saturday, November Week 1, 1993 Live from Albuquerque Arena Albuquerque, New Mexico Attendance: 15,000 WCW Saturday Night gets underway this week with a video of the epic battle that Ric Flair and Rick Rude had over the WCW International Heavyweight Championship last weekend at Halloween Havoc. It showed their near thirty minute battle for the championship, then Rude’s underhanded tactics to keep the title in his possession. It then highlighted the anger of Ric Flair as the show went off the air. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ring, and he starts reading from a paper with the WCW logo stamped all over it. Eric Bischoff Ladies and gentlemen, coming off the heels of Halloween Havoc we are already preparing for our next pay-per-view, Battle Bowl! The championship committee has provided me the guidelines for Battle Bowl, and it is going under some changes this year. This year’s Battle Bowl will feature four title matches. The Tag, United States, International, and World Championships will be up for grabs in this innovative event. Who will be challenging for these titles? There will be four matches at Battle Bowl, and the winner of these matches will advance to take on the champion later in the night. Now in the coming weeks we will be having preliminary matches to see who will go to Battle Bowl, and those get underway right now with what you all have been asking for…..the reuniting of the Road Warriors! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle Bowl Qualifying Match (Tag Team Championship) The Road Warriors vs. Cactus Jack and Dustin Rhodes The fans were ecstatic to see the Road Warriors back together before their very eyes, and they looked to take on two men who were unsuccessful at Halloween Havoc, Dustin Rhodes and Cactus Jack. The Road Warriors started the match off by dominating the young Rhodes, but once Jack got into the match he took it right to Road Warrior Animal, and these two revived their classic slugfest from the pay-per-view. The Road Warriors were finally able to get the upper hand, and Jack tagged Rhodes back in, and he was met with some high powered offense, then the Doomsday Device, and just like that the Road Warriors cashed their tickets to Battle Bowl. Winners: The Road Warriors Match Time: 6:43 Match Rating: C+ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Road Warrior Animal grabbed a microphone from ringside and had something to say to the WCW Tag Team Champions, The Nasty Boys. Road Warrior Animal Saggs, Knobbs, be afraid, be very afraid. The Road Warriors are back! Road Warrior Hawk AWWW WHAT A RUSH! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera goes backstage where Davey Boy Smith is getting ready for a big Halloween Havoc return match with Lord Steven Regal for the right to go to Battle Bowl and challenge for the United States Championship, as well as this match being for the Television Championship. Davey Boy Smith Regal, tonight is the biggest match either of us have had in quite some time. Not only is the Television Championship up for grabs, the winner heads to the Battle Bowl to go for the United States Championship, a title that I’ve had my eyes on since I joined the WCW. But Regal, the thing I care most about is getting revenge for Halloween Havoc. I gave you a small taste when I slammed you after the match, but tonight I’m going to beat you one, two, three, and we’ll all know who the greatest British wrestler alive is. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WCW Television Championship Battle Bowl Qualifying Match (US Championship) Lord Steven Regal © vs. Davey Boy Smith This match has a ton riding on it, and after Regal ruined a great match at Halloween Havoc the fans were looking forward to this one. Smith came flying out of the gate as he threw Regal around like a ragdoll, and when Regal tried to slow the match down Smith imposed his will and wouldn’t allow it to slow down. After an impressive vertical suplex and gorilla press slam, Regal took the high road and started walking towards the back. Smith followed right behind him and started dragging him back towards the ring. Regal was able to poke Smith in the eyes, then he sprinted into the ring as the referee continued to count. As Smith tried to get back in the ring Regal hit a baseball slide and kicked Smith into the guardrail. Regal then watched on as the referee’s count reached ten and the match was awarded to him. Winner by Count Out: Lord Steven Regal Match Time: 9:22 Match Rating: B- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera goes backstage where Sting is standing by, and he has something to say after being jumped by Big Van Vader after a victorious effort in the Halloween Horrors match last weekend. Sting I’m sure you’ve all heard by now, me and Road Warrior Hawk were successful in taking down those two overgrown idiots Sid Vicious and Big Van Vader at Halloween Havoc. Vader decided that he couldn’t go out that way and he had to cheap shot me from behind. Well I’m not taking this laying down. Tomorrow night on Main Event I get my chance to qualify for Battle Bowl. I’m entered in the World Championship division, and when I win I will walk through whoever wins this next match, then Vader, I’m coming for you, and mark my words, you will pay! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle Bowl Qualifying Match (World Heavyweight Championship) Ron Simmons vs. Sid Vicious These two big men faced off in the middle of the ring, and the fans knew they weren’t going to get a classic wrestling match, but they knew that they were going to be seeing two men fight with everything they have to go to Battle Bowl. Simmons fought like the proud warrior that everybody knows that he is, and he might have had an advantage because Sid was still suffering the effects of the brutal Halloween Horrors match. Simmons controlled most of the match, and he went for the Dominator Powerbomb on Vicious, but he was unable to budge the big man, and he was met with a big boot. Sid then got Simmons up and nailed the Powerbomb to advance to Battle Bowl. Winner: Sid Vicious Match Time: 9:08 Match Rating: B- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WCW’s new backstage interviewer Tony Schiavone appears backstage with the man that beat Ron Simmons at Halloween Havoc, Diamond Dallas Page. Tony Schiavone I’m standing by with Diamond Dallas Page, and DDP, let me congratulate you on your win last weekend at Halloween Havoc. But tonight you will be facing off with the United States Champion, Chris Benoit. What are you thoughts on this? Diamond Dallas Page I’ve watched this Chris Benoit wrestle, and let me tell you something Tony, I don’t think that he can beat me. I’m bigger, faster, stronger, and to be honest, much better looking than this Canadian bum. I think he can give me a run for my money, but he stands no chance of beating me. It’s just a bad matchup for him. And after I prove that I’m better than him tonight, I’ll go on to win tomorrow night at Main Event and qualify for Battle Bowl, then I’ll take his United States Championship. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs. Diamond Dallas Page The title wasn’t up for grabs in this match, but it’s the first time Chris Benoit has made his way to the ring with it, and he showed it off very proudly to all the fans, and they gave him a standing ovation for wrestling it away from Dustin Rhodes. These two men met in the middle of the ring, and Benoit tried to wrestle his style of match, but Page did what he said he would do, not let Benoit technically out wrestle him. Benoit changed his style up to a smash mouth style, and that started working better as he had Page off balance. He went for his Dragon Suplex, but Page was able to slip out then nail Benoit with the Diamond Cutter for the victory. Winner: Diamond Dallas Page Match Time: 10:24 Match Rating: A -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Saturday Night comes back from commercial the music of Ric Flair hits the arena, and the Nature Boy himself walks out and heads towards the ring. He does a little bit of strutting before grabbing a microphone from ringside. Ric Flair I’m ready for this Battle Bowl Qualifier baby! I don’t know why the Nature Boy has to qualify, but I will run over whoever the championship committee throws in front of me, because nobody will stop me from getting my hands back on Rick Rude at Battle Bowl. Then I’ll reclaim the International Heavyweight Championship, and the Nature Boy will be back on top of the mountain. WOOOO! Just then the music of the International Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude plays, and the champ makes his way to the ring, dressed for competition. Rick Rude The championship committee came to me and asked if I had any suggestions for who you should face, and I couldn’t think of anybody better than…..ME! That’s right Flair, if you want to face me for the championship at Battle Bowl, not only are you going to have to beat the winner of the other qualifier, you are going to have to beat me to get there. And let’s be honest, you can’t beat me, we all know that, you even know that. So you ready to be embarrassed Flair? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle Bowl Qualifying Match (International Heavyweight Championship) Ric Flair vs. Rick Rude Flair is in a unique situation here, as he must go through the champion in order to face him at Battle Bowl. The fans were electric knowing that they are going to get to see a rematch from this weekend’s Halloween Havoc main event, and Flair and Rude did not disappoint. After a short feeling out period the two went straight to business, and Rude used his power to gain the upper hand on the Nature Boy. It looked like it was going to be a repeat of the title match at Havoc until Flair used his shifty tactics to turn things back in his favor. The crowd was up cheering as loud as they could as Flair got back into the match one chop at a time. He then went to the knees of Rude, but Rude turned it around and hit a sunset flip on Flair, but Flair reversed the pinfall into one of his own, and he grabbed some tights and got the three count. Yeah roster's and popularity would be good. Before I saw this update I was actually about to say that we wanted another installment heh :p Congratulations on going so far with a two player diary btw. It can be hard enough getting everything up just in a single player diary without having to coordinate with another player, so well done guys :)

Steamboat took it too him early, but Page made a strong effort to slow down Steamboat, and it paid off as he locked in several holds that allowed him to catch his breath while wearing down Steamboat at the same time. Steamboat got the crowd behind him and started working his way back up, and he evened things out with several chops and a beautiful dropkick. He then headed to the top rope, but DDP shot up and delivered his Diamond Cutter from the top rope and got the victory. Harley Race Sting, tonight you will be facing off with Cactus Jack, and your spot at the Battle Bowl is up for grabs. Getting through that psycho is bad enough, but then you are going to have to go through Sid Vicious. And if by some chance you get through him, then you get to go head to head with the most dominant force in professional wrestling today, the World Heavyweight Champion, Big Van Vader. Vader, what do you plan on doing if you face Sting? Sting and Jack slugged it out for a little while, but when it became apparent that Sting couldn’t out slug him the face painted warrior Sting turned to a faster paced offense. He nailed a series of dropkicks, and he had Cactus Jack on the ropes. He sat Jack up for the Scorpion Death Drop, but he fought back and about knocked Sting out with a right hand. Cactus Jack looked like he may pull it out, and he went for the Double Arm DDT, but Sting fought out of it and then finally nailed the Scorpion Death Drop, and got the three count to advance to fight Sid Vicious at Battle Bowl. Nimo is taking a trip with his family this weekend and should be back on Monday or Tuesday. He's got a show ready to go when he comes back, but while he's gone I'll do some posts that gives insights into what's going on in WCW right now. I'll start it with the posting of my roster and their popularity later tonight.

Push Too Cold Scorpio! He's the people's choice, just check out this video if you don't believe me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hml0Nu3X0s Think that was around this sorta time, though it may have been a bit earlier. Also although both you guys are doing an awesome job, I do feel you're missing out on one key element of wcw from around this time, the insanity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8qhJwIHZu8 Well that and robocop :p

He has an arrogant look on his face, the normal look. Michaels takes off his glasses and looks straight into the camera. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels The heat is on, "Macho Man", and I'm the one controlling the furnace. Tonight, I'm going to throw another log on the fire, because tonight I'm taking a two match lead and you can't stop me. I have that feeling that I always have, that I can't be beat. It is all in my hands, it is my decision where this thing goes. I'm the one who can control your fate and my own. It is because I am that much better than you! "Macho Man", you're a bag of bones and it is about time I knocked some sense into you. That sense is going to be knocked into you via the bottom of my shoe. After this series, I'm going on to bigger things like the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Oh, it's go time, Savage. Oh yeah! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase is standing in the middle of the ring next to the monstrous Diesel. He has a match coming up so he is in his ring attire, but I guess he has to settle some business first. Diesel is most likely DiBiase's next choice for his Survivor Series team that will be taking on Lex Luger's team of four. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase You thought you one-upped "The Million Dollar Man" didn't you, Luger? Well that isn't the case now. My next selection for my Survivor Series team is the beast, the machine, the unstoppable, Diesel. Diesel has done things to people that rendered them paralyzed. Diesel is easily the strongest man in the World Wrestling Federation, at least in my eyes. The man can overpower anyone that is put in front of him. His power will be an asset to my team, an asset that you can not cancel out with any other man in the WWF. I hope you are ready, Lex, because this new acquisition may be the difference between you losing and you losing your life! Ha ha ha! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase vs. Owen Hart From the get-go, everyone knew this was going to be a great technically-based match. With Diesel at ringside, Owen Hart had to watch his back and in the end that may have cost him the match. With two people to keep his eyes on, Owen Hart had to work extra hard for a victory. Hart still had some momentum built up from his upset against the WWF World Heavyweight Champion, Yokozuna. The match was in Owen's hands to begin with as he dominated the veteran DiBiase. Things would change as DiBiase was able to take control. Owen would regain control, but he lost it when Diesel got on the apron to distract him and he then backed up into DiBiase's signature Million Dollar Dream. Owen Hart was then forced to tap out to the clutches and gave "The Million Dollar Man" a win. Lex Luger grabs a microphone and begins to slenderize his rival, Ted DiBiase. Lex Luger That was an impressive victory, DiBiase, besides the fact that you cheated to win. And that is one of the things that has kept my passion of hatred alive for you. You can't win without the help of one of your goons or of cheating somehow of your own. This time it is Diesel, many times before it was Irwin R. Schyster, but I will seek to it that it will never happen again. You say that we may not be walking out of WWF Survivor Series alive, well I've got some bad news for you. My new teammate is Tatanka, and this man is in my eyes, the best big man in the World Wrestling Federation behind me, of course. Some call him a savage and they might be right and come WWF Survivor Series, this savage will be helping my team to a victory and you to retirement! Scott takes the microphone first, like always, and starts to talk. Scott Steiner I've been looking at my schedule and a couple Sundays from now I look and I see that I'm free. Me and Rick don't have anything to do for the Pay-Per-View spectacular known as WWF Survivor Series. Then I think to myself, what are The Quebecers doing that Sunday? I pick up the telephone and then I remember I don't have either Jacques or Pierre's numbers. That is why I'm here now, to challenge you guys to a gold, old Survivor Series match. It will be me and my brother, Rick, teaming up with another tag team to be named later. Then there will be you guys and a tag team of your choice. If our team wins, we get another shot at the WWF World Tag Team Championship. We were suppose to have a match earlier this week on WWF Monday Night Raw, but it was decided by the championship committee that a decision like that wouldn't be just. If you ask me, I think it was from persuasion by two French-Canadians. Now if you guys win, we don't get another shot at your title ever again. Don't worry about trying to persuade the championship committee, because the match has already been made! Rick Steiner Oh my brother, I can feel the goosebumps! You want to know something...I like it. I can't wait to get my hands on those skinny little Canadians. He made quick work of Jeff Jarrett, someone who gave Mr. Perfect a run for his money a week ago. Thinking back on this match, I don't think Jeff Jarrett had one single burst of offense. Actually, Jeff Jarrett didn't get in one offensive move on The Undertaker. The Undertaker bullied Jeff Jarrett around and the crowd loved it. Jeff Jarrett being a punching bag is one of the things the audience wishes to see because Jarrett is one of the more annoying characters in the World Wrestling Federation. Also, on WWF Monday Night Raw Razor Ramon was able to beat his competition in Tatanka. Both of those guys, Diesel and Tatanka, will be showcased in the Survivor Series match between Lex Luger's team and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase's team. With that plug aside, Mr. Perfect, what is your thoughts on your opponent at Survivor Series, Razor Ramon? And how bad do you want the WWF Intercontinental Championship? Mr. Perfect I would like to say first is that I respect Razor Ramon's ability, but with that being said, I hate the man to death. He is a horrible excuse for a competitor when it comes to sportsmanship, he is arrogant beyond compare, and to answer the other question, he has the prize of my eye. The WWF Intercontinental Championship is the thing that I have had my eye on for the past month and I will stop at nothing to get it, Jim Ross! Razor Ramon can try and stop me, but in the end, he'll only get the bad end of a Perfect Plex. Schyster vs. Tatanka and Bob Backlund A preview of what is to come at WWF Survivor Series in the Survivor Series match between Team Luger against Team DiBiase. Both are half of each team and they showed that it may take some time to get each team to the level of good teamwork. Both teams looked like they were just wrestling a singles match and didn't use their partners. They would only tag out when they got tired. Diesel and Irwin R. Schyster took advantage of this early and were able to get an upper-hand. Schyster distracted the ref when Diesel started to wail on Tatanka. It looked like the match was going to end when... Lex Luger came running down to the ring and told the referee of Diesel's wrong doing. The referee was able to catch Diesel and break it up, but he ordered Lex Luger to go to the back. Tatanka and Bob Backlund started to take control and it looked like they were going to win the match. The match went to the outside, but when Backlund whipped Schyster, he threw him into the referee. That is when the other captain came to his team's aide... Ted DiBiase came running down to the ring this time, just like Lex Luger did minutes ago. He came in and gave Bob Backlund a low blow to the jewels. Schyster then tagged in Diesel, who came in and gave Backlund a Jackknife. The referee woke to Diesel pinning Backlund and the referee counted to three. After a crowded match, Team DiBiase came out on top. Winners: Diesel and Irwin R. Well in a little bit, I'm going to be making you look like fool. Not by way of the mouth, but by way of the elbow. That is right, I'm dropping down the elbow and there is nothing you can say about it. Oh yeah! You aren't going to be able to sop it, Michaels, all you are going to do is lie on your back with your shoulders down. Last week you beat me by cheating, but tonight you aren't going to have time to cheat because I'm going to beat you so quick you won't even know what happened. Savage didn't predict the match too correctly because the match went on a good while. The crowd started to get on their feet as it looked like Savage was going to end it quick, but it all ended when Michaels took advantage. Savage then took advantage again, but then Michaels took advantage. The match became so back and forth that the crowd didn't even bother to chant or boo. Savage then got the advantage back and this time for a good portion of the match and it lasted right up until the end. Savage went up to for flying a ax handle, but when he came down he was met with a Sweet Chin Music out of nowhere.
Road Agent Arn Anderson (B)
Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I love this mod, but this is my one gripe. Arn Anderson was still a big part of WCW at this time and even has a few title runs ahead of him I think. He doesn't retire for 3 1/2 more years or so! I'd talk to Nimo and see if this is something you guys can correct in the editor because Arn Anderson not being able to wrestle in 1993 is a travesty!

You will be taking on the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Razor Ramon. So I guess we have a little cross competition on our hands. This will be a real test of what you can do, Hart, and if you even deserve to face Yokozuna. Razor Ramon Whoa there, chico, you think I need to watch my back. Yeah, I'm talking to you, Mr. Perfect. You say I should watch my back, but do you know who you are talking to. I can admit that I am sneaky and ruthless and I will do anything to get the upper-hand on my opponent and that is exactly what is going to happen. And Bret Hart, I will show you that you aren't the "The Excellence of Execution" and you surely aren't the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase is backstage in his suit next to the flamboyant Rick Martel. Martel is probably the next choice as a teammate for Team DiBiase for the Survivor Series match against Team Luger at WWF Survivor Series. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase Well my team is complete for our Survivor Series match later this month, Luger. This is my next selection, Rick Martel, a great competitor and another one of those guys that I trust. A guy that I trust will get the job done and will do anything to get that job done. Luger, I'm feeling pretty confident right now that I will be winning at WWF Survivor Series. It doesn't matter who your next selection is going to be, because their isn't many people in the World Wrestling Federation that will make your team equal mine. Luger, I would advise you to forfeit now but I want to whoop you so bad that I hope you don't wimp out. Ha ha ha! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Perfect vs. Yokozuna A big difference in size in the favor of Yokozuna but a difference in wrestling ability in the favor of Mr. Perfect. The WWF World Heavyweight Champion was able to use his power to his advantage but with that being said, Mr. Perfect was able to use his technical skills to his advantage. Mr. Perfect, being quicker than Yokozuna, was able to escape the clutches of the behemoth. The crowd got behind Mr. Perfect as Perfect started to gain control of the match. Yokozuna took that to heart and started to go berserk. Yokozuna started to throw Mr. Perfect around for awhile until Mr. Perfect took advantage. While Yokozuna was groggy, Mr. Perfect went up to the top, but that didn't work well. Yokozuna pulled him down to Earth then dropped down a huge Banzai Drop for the win. Winner: Yokozuna Time: 10:28 Match Rating: B+ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Heartbreak Kid", leader in the best of seven series to become the #1 contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against "Macho Man" Randy Savage, is backstage. He is probably there to boast about his two match advantage over Savage. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels What did I say, old man? If I recall myself correctly, I said that there is no one who can beat me when I get in that mode and I was in that mode last night. Savage, why don't you retire already? You aren't going to ever beat me. I'm younger, faster, stronger, and I have the intangibles. I've got that "it" factor that no one else in this business has. You just can't touch me now, but maybe six years ago when you were actually someone in this business. Savage, I bet you are wishing these next two matches go by like a flash...much like your career as a top performer. You are a has-been, "Macho Man", wait I stand correct. You are a never-was! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. Razor Ramon A fantastic match just based off of the crowd's reaction, which was very good. The crowd was into it and you could feel the wrestlers were too. Both of the men read each other well. This had a big match atmosphere to it and it could be a future feud since both of these guys do dislike each other. "Hitman" cam out firing with his technical showcase, but Ramon was able to shut him down early and pick up the advantage. Ramon started to go on the attack, but Bret Hart got the advantage again by a series of submission moves. Hart showed that he could go up against someone like Ramon and dominate through submission moves. This pretty much makes Ramon's theory that Hart isn't the "Excellence of Execution" a trashy one at that. Ramon did get some more offense in and a near Razor's Edge, but it didn't pan out. Hart got the last move in and it happened to be The Sharpshooter. Ramon was forced to tap and he lost this classic even though it was a hard fought battle. Winner: Bret "Hitman" Hart Time: 12:35 Match Rating: A+ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yokozuna, being the bully he is, ran in from behind Bret Hart's back looking to beat him down. Right when Yokozuna was about to hit Hart, Hart ducked and started to throw punches at Yokozuna, knocking Yokozuna out of the ring. Razor Ramon then thought it was his turn to take out some frustration on Bret Hart. Mr. Perfect then planted Ramon with a Perfect Plex. Yokozuna then attempted to get in the ring, but the two good guys stopped him for making an entrance. WCW Saturday Night Saturday, November Week 2, 1993 Taped at Savannah Civic Center Savannah, Georgia Attendance: 10,000 To start off WCW Saturday Night this week a video plays showing the feud between Ric Flair and the International Heavyweight Champion Rick Rude. It shows their battle of words, sneak attacks, and two matches, which have been split at one. It then builds up that Rick Rude will be defending his championship at Battle Bowl, and it could very well be against Ric Flair. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The music of Sting hits the arena, and at the sound of the first note the fans shoot up to their feet to pay respect to one of their favorites. Sting is dressed to compete, but he has something to say before the match gets underway. Sting Battle Bowl is just two weeks away! Battle Bowl represents my chance to shoot back up to the top of World Championship Wrestling. I’ve already qualified to take on Sid Vicious, with the winner facing Big Van Vader for the World Heavyweight Championship. We all know that Vader had Sid on his payroll, so if he was to make it to the finals he would have a free pass. Well I can’t let that happen. I will beat Sid like I have done before, then Vader, I’m coming for you. Mark my words Vader, you will be losing that World Title at Battle Bowl, and Sting will be the premier wrestler in the world once again! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sting vs. Fit Finlay Finlay has had several matches since his WCW debut, and he has been competitive in all of them, but he is yet to break through with a victory. If he could pull this one out it would shoot him right into the main event, but Sting wasn’t going to let somebody advance at his expense. Finlay slugged away at Sting, and Sting returned the favor early and often. The crowd was behind Sting to show this Irishman who’s boss, but it wasn’t coming easy as Finlay had some innovative reversals. He scooped Sting up for a tombstone piledriver, but Sting fell over Finlay’s shoulder, then nailed him with the Scorpion Death Drop to get the victory. Winner: Sting Match Time: 10:29 Match Rating: B+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera then goes backstage, and Harley Race is standing by with his client, the World Heavyweight Champion, Big Van Vader. Harley Race Sting, very impressive, very impressive indeed. But it’s nothing compared to what Vader is going to be doing to your precious little friend Davey Boy Smith tonight. Vader, what are you going to be doing to Davey Boy? Big Van Vader I will destroy him! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Bischoff walks out from behind the curtain, and he begins to speak to the sold out crowd here in Savannah. Eric Bischoff Last week in one of the Battle Bowl qualifying matches we saw Diamond Dallas Page move on to the United States preliminary match, where he will be taking on Lord Steven Regal to see who faces Chris Benoit in the finals of the United States portion of Battle Bowl. The night before though we saw a great match between Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Benoit, and we here at WCW got many positive response from this match, so without further ado, we give you Page vs. Benoit II! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Benoit vs. Diamond Dallas Page Last week DDP said that Benoit couldn’t beat him, and he was right. Tonight Benoit set out to prove to Page that he was wrong, and he got out on the right foot as he absolutely slugged away at Page. Page tried to fight back, but Benoit was relentless on the attack, and the fans urged him on with every big right and headbutt to the skull of Page. DDP started to fight his way back, but Benoit turned it up into another gear, and Page was unable to hang with him as he dominated the action. He then sat Page up for his Dragon Suplex, but once again DDP rolled out of it, then just like that he nailed the Diamond Cutter and proved that Benoit cannot beat him. Winner: Diamond Dallas Page Match Time: 13:40 Match Rating: A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match DDP looked exhausted after he took such a beating at the hands of Chris Benoit. This tiredness eventually turned to anger, and DDP forced Benoit back up to his feet. As Benoit tried to defend himself Page blindsided him with another Diamond Cutter, leaving the United States Champion out cold in the middle of the ring. DDP then headed towards the back with a smile on his face and the crowd showering him with boos. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The camera goes to the announce position, and the new WCW announcer Bob Caudle begins to address the crowd. Bob Caudle I would like to thank all of you great WCW fans for allowing me back in your homes each and every week with the greatest promotion in the world today, World Championship Wrestling. It’s truly an honor and privilege to be announcing on national television once again. But enough about me, let’s get back to business. A couple of weeks ago we saw the violent turning of Cactus Jack. But more recently Jack has had numerous Battle Bowl qualifying matches, and he has been granted one more this week, but he’s going to have to prove himself against a brand new WCW wrestler. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battle Bowl Qualifying Match (International Heavyweight Championship) Terry Funk vs. Cactus Jack Wrestling legend Terry Funk made his shocking WCW debut in this match, and the great fans recognized Funk’s great work in this industry and gave him a standing ovation. Jack didn’t take to this kindly and he went straight to battling with Terry Funk. Jack would throw rights, and at the same time Funk would throw left hands. It seemed that the referee had lost all control as the two great brawlers spilled out onto the floor and continued the fight around ringside. They were throwing everything they had at each other, but the problem was that Funk threw one thing that he shouldn’t have, a chair, which earning Cactus Jack the DQ victory. Winner: Cactus Jack Match Time: 8:32 Match Rating: B ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Funk listened to the official match announcement, then picked the chair back up. He asked the fans if they would like to see him hit Jack again, and they did, so Funk hit three more chair shots to the head of Cactus Jack, finally taking him down on the last. Funk then threw the chair in the ring, went and retrieved it, and held the cold steel over his head as the fans gave him another standing ovation on his WCW debut. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The announcers fire the action to the backstage area where Mean Gene Okerlund has some breaking news. Gene Okerlund Bob, Larry, I’ve just been told by the Championship Committee that in light of Diamond Dallas Page’s heinous attack on Chris Benoit earlier tonight, his spot in Battle Bowl has been revoked. He will have a chance to regain this spot tomorrow night on Main Event, but to do so he must get through the man who will take on Vader next, Davey Boy Smith. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Davey Boy Smith vs. Big Van Vader Davey Boy Smith came out with an extra hop in his step, knowing that he has another chance to get back into Battle Bowl. He even went toe-to-toe with Big Van Vader, and unlike few men in WCW could, he matched blows with the World Champion for a couple of minutes. Vader started to fight his way back against Smith, and he had control in a couple of moments. He wore down Smith with a giant sleeper and bear hug, but he came up empty on a Vader Bomb attempt, and Smith came out firing. He hit Vader with everything he had, and he was warming up to try the powerslam when Sid Vicious made his way to ringside. This caught the attention of Smith, and he finally turned back towards Vader and missed on a clothesline, then Vader spiked him with a powerbomb to get the three count. Winner: Big Van Vader Match Time: 11:54 Match Rating: B+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the match Big Van Vader stood over the body of Davey Boy Smith. Harley Race then entered the ring and called for Sid Vicious to enter the ring as well. The two men yelled at Smith to get up, and when he did they were setting him up for a double powerbomb. Before they could lift him up the crowd erupted as Sting ran out to ringside with a steel chair in hand. He slid into the ring and started swinging wildly, causing Vader, Sid, and Race to hit the deck and live to fight another day. Sting then helped his friend up to his feet and Sting pointed at Vader saying that they would get revenge for this attempted attack. Final Rating: B+
