Steve Austin - From pretty-boy to bad-ass

Recommended Posts

Stone Cold Steve Austin: Everyone starts some where, and that includes Steve Austin, one of the most popular and charasmatic wrestlers of his time. As soon as that glass shattered, everyone in the arena stood up and popped the roof off the building. But that was now, this is then. It's 1983, and the Texas Rattlesnake is not the beer swilling, middle finger flashing, bad-ass rebel. Actually, he's a long-haired prima donna, and not many people know of him. But that will soon change... Here are Steve Austin's stats: Overness United States: 10 Canada: 0 UK: 0 Europe: 0 Austrailia: 0 Mexico: 0 Stats Spirit: 10 Power: 50 Technique: 44 Speed: 46 Psycology: 55 Stamina: 58 Toughness: 80 Charisma: 80 Mic Skills: 65 Saftey: 64 Superstar Looks: 78 Respect: 15 Current Relationships A friendship with Brian Pillman A protege of Chris Adams

Friday, Week 1, February 1984 Steve Austin's be debut his here. Under the name of Adam Anderson, he will go up against Rip Rogers. This is the one match that can make Austin, or break him. He needs to impress the crowd here. Even more importently, he needs to impress officials backstage. Adam Anderson vs. Rip Rogers In the beginning of this 20 minute match, Adam Anderson led the way with a lot of strikes and slams. But, Rogers started coming back, soon countering every move Anderson lashed out on him. During the mid-match, Rogers tried playing dirty, choking Anderson with the tag rope and rubbing his face in the ropes. An irish whip that knocked the ref down allowed Rogers to throw Adam right over the ropes, a very illegal move. Rogers followed him and pulled out a chair while the officail was down and out. He dropped it on the floor and called for body slam on it, but Adam slipped out and hit a suplex on it. This of coarse made the fans go bananas. Adam rolled Rogers into the ring and pinned. The ref slowly made the count after just getting up, but due to his sluggishness, Rogers kicked out. After this, the end of the match came close to it. Adam kept attempting to hit some sort of move no one could figure out. First he would kick Rogers in the gut, turn his back to him, wrap his arms around his head, but Rogers would simple push him away. It appeared to be some sort of neckbreaker, or maybe a very unique sleeper. But, we never could find out what it was because when he tried to do it a fourth time in the match, Rogers locked on a big sleeper hold Anderson just could not get out of. Austin was forced to tap out. Winner: Rip Rogers Afterwards, Anderson slowly walked backstage, attempting to catch his breath. Rip Rogers stays in the ring, taunting the booing crowd. Steve walks to the backstage. Though disapointed that he lost his first match, Paul reassures him and tells him he put up a great effort. Saturday, Week 1, February 1984 After having a disapointing loss for Steve Austin, good news awaits him. Paul tells him that tonight he will face a big star, Ted DiBiase. Austin is shocked and excited at the same time. If he can pull a huge upset here on DiBiase, Austin can really gain some appreciation from the fans. DiBiase comes out to the ring and cuts a promo, insulting the fans. He also insults his opponent tonight, Adam Anderson. The Big Cheese claims he would rather face a fan in the audience, since they have a better chance. Anderson comes out and gets into the ring. Ted DiBiase vs. Adam Anderson Before we even get started, DiBiase tries to blindside Anderson, but he lashes out on DiBiase, giving him strikes and a slam. But DiBiase was quick to come back. 10 minutes into the match, it was almost 50-50 in offense-defense for these two athletes. 15 minutes into the match, the tides have turned. It was all Anderson, giving DiBiase his simple routine of striking, slaming, one ground move, picking up, and repeating. Simple, but effective. Soon, DiBiase countered and turned the tides on Adam, showing a lot of offense for the next few minutes. It again, turned into a 50-50 situation. At the 20 minute mark, Adam came up with a DDT, DiBiase looked like he was down and out. For that minutes, the whole Texas crowd though Adam could do the impossible, but no! DiBiase kicks out! After that viscious DDT, Adam kept attempting to do that move he could never get on Rip Rogers last week. He tried atleast 4-5 times to hit it, but never could. DiBiase finally locked on the Million Dollar Dream! Adam refused to give up. But Adam slipped out of it! Amazing! DiBiase then put something in his glove and BAM! Knocked out. 1...2...someone runs in and breaks it up! It's Steve Williams, a man that has been having problems with DiBiase recently. DiBiase is frustrated now. He picks up Adam and attempts the Million Dollar Dream one more time, but Adam slips out, kicks Ted in the gut, and finally gets the move done! It was some time of very unique jaw breaker, where he wraps his arms around the opponents head and jumps down in a sitting position. Ted's jaw looked like it flew out his mouth! After this move, Ted flew up in the air and was out cold, spread eagled in the middle of the ring. Adam slowly creeped up and put his arm around Ted. 1....2....3! Adam Anderson has done the impossible! He has beaten Ted DiBiase at 31 minutes! Winner: Adam Anderson After the match, Steve Williams got into the ring and kicked Ted DiBiase out. He rose up Anderson's hand. The crowd popped pretty loud. Ted walked up the ramp, holding his jaw, pointing at Williams.

Thank you, SJ, yeah my overness boosted up about 5 points. After Steve Austin's huge win over Ted DiBiase, he got called by Jerry Jarrett. Jerry wants to see him be in CWA in a try out match, just to see how his crowd reacts to him. So now it's interactive time. You guys can decide what Austin's name will be: A) Stick with Adam Anderson B) Go by Steve Austin C) Go by Austin Anderson D) Go by The Ringmaster E) Go by James Anderson F) Go Austin Williams All of them except for D and B are plays off his real name, his birthname being Steven James Anderson.

I would have wanted it to stay Adam Anderson but Austin Anderson is okay. That was a terrific match and victory over Dibiase. Is Anderson a heel or a babyface and where is he on the card (opener, lower midcarder, etc.)? With this one up and running I will include the matches and/or moves of Austin in my dynasty.

Monday, Week 2, February 1984 Steve walks through the doors to the arena. Tonight will be his first television appearance. He's a little nervous. He came up with a name to go by, Austin Anderson. Jerry liked it. Jerry told him that tonight he will be facing Rick Steiner. Austin went to walk out to the ramp, but Jerry stopped him and asked him about his finisher move. Austin says that he doesn't have a name for it. Jerry suggests the Stunner. Austin loves it. He smiles, shakes Jerry's hand with a final word of good luck, and is off to face Rick. Rick Steiner vs. Austin Anderson Right off the bat, Austin gets the upper hand giving Rick his usual technique of strikes, slam, ground attack, repeat. At around 3 minutes, Rick countered every move Austin lashed out on him. For the next 5 minutes, Steiner was the ringleader to the circus. Tojo Yamamoto wasn't afraid to get involved, often distracting Austin. This led to him not getting much offense for the next few minutes. But at 10, Austin dropkicked Steiner in the face when he was taunting the crowd with his dog taunts. Steiner stumbles towards the apron and knocks Tojo off. Austin gives Steiner a big DDT. Austin stalks Steiner. Steiner slowly gets to his feet. Kick to the gut, and a Stunner! Austin gets on top of Steiner. 1....2.....Tojo pulls the ref out. The ref has had enough with Tojo and forces him to leave. As the angry manager leaves, Austin watches. But with his back turned, Steiner gets a quick roll-up. 1...2...no. Austin barely kicks out. For the next few minutes, Steiner gets back on Austin. Austin is very tired at the moment. At around 18 minutes, Steiner tries to finish the match with his Samoan Headbutt, but Austin moves out of the way, kicks him in the gut, and a stunner! 1...2...3! Winner: Austin Anderson After the match, Austin rolls out of the ring and heads to the showers. The crowd cheers for him. Steiner slowly rolls out of the ring aswell and heads up the ramp. After a shower and change of clothes, Steve Austin heads to the office of Jerry Jarrett. With an impressive win over Rick Steiner, Steve is almost possitive he has the job. He knocks and walks in. Rick Steiner is already there with Jerry Jarrett. Austin raises his eyebrow. Steiner leaves the room. Jerry tells Austin to sit down. He says that he saw the match and was considering giving Austin the job until he met with Rick Steiner. Austin feared the worst now. His head slowly fell down and he looked at the floor. Jarrett than said that Steiner told him how great Austin was from his perspective. He's got a deal. Jarrett slides out a piece of paper. The contract reads $80 Per Match. This isn't a bad deal considering he is still new to the business. Austin inks the deal, shakes hands with Jarrett, and walks out a happy man. Friday, Week 2, February 1984 Steve walks through the doors again. Rick Steiner walks over to him and shakes his hand. He says tonight that they will be teaming up against Jim Neidhart and Spoiler. Austin nods his head and gets into the lockeroom ready to fight. He's sharing his lockeroom with a lot of people, including Jim Neidhart. He wishes Neidhart luck. As he walks out to get to the match, so does Steiner. Austin goes to, but sees Jimmy Hart in the lockeroom as well. Austin tells him he's a big fan of him and asks for advice on his microphone skills. Jimmy gladly tells him he'll help him with some things to remember when your on the mic after his match. Austin shook his hand and left for the match. Austin Anderson and Rick Steiner vs. Spoiler and Jim Neidhart It started out with Rick Steiner and Neidhart. For 6 whole minutes, Rick dominated. Jim didn't get a single move in except for a punch and a leg trip. After being thrown all over the ring for 6 minutes, Neidhart got the tag to Spoiler. Spoiler taught Steiner a lesson. Steiner kept trying to tag Anderson, but Spoiler kept it from happening. After Tojo distracts Spoiler, Steiner gets the quick tag. For about two minutes, Anderson lashes out on Spoiler. But, at the 10 minutes mark, it's all Spoiler again, countering every move Anderson attempts. For 10 more minutes, it's back and forth. Anderson tags in Rick and Spoiler tags in Neidhart. After they brawl for five minutes, they both tag in. Austin beats on Spoiler, keeping him off the ground and working on him on the ground. Spoiler finally kicks Austin away and tags in Neidhart. After Neidhart attempts to press slam Austin numerous times, he tags in to Steiner at the 32 minutes mark. Steiner gets the best of Neidhart and he tags in. Steiner got the Boston crab locked in at one point around 38 minutes. But, he gets the ropes. Steiner tags in Austin. Austin simply kicks Spoiler in the gut and gives him the Stunner. 1..2....3! Spoiler is eliminated, so it's a handicap match for Neidhart. Austin tags in Steiner. Steiner brawls on Anvil, not letting him get one move in. Steiner hits the Samoan Headbutt. Steiner then tags Austin and tells him to give him a Stunner. Austin picks him up and goes for it, but Neidhart pushes him away! Austin tries to hit the Stunner again, doesn't work! Austin tries one more time, it gets him in a toture rack! But Austin slips out and goes for the Stunner again at 48 minutes, and he's got it! 1...2..3! Winner: Austin Anderson and Rick Steiner

I do plan on making him "Stunning" Steve soon. Right now he is a lower midcarder in CWA and a midcarder in HCW. He's currently a babyface in both, but don't worry, the prima donna heel Austin will debut soon, I just figured for the first few months that he can work as a blue chipper heel. I also want to get my mic skills up a bit more, too.

Steve Austin and Rick Steiner have recently been good friends recently. Jerry Jarrett has came up with the idea of using them as a tag team. Jarrett came up with the name of the Dog Face Gremlins. Steve and Rick shook on it. They're starting to train together now, working on their tag team moveset. Meanwhile, Steve is getting ready to make his return to Houston. Last time he was there, he pulled up one of the biggest upsets in HCW history, as he beat Ted DiBiase right in the middle of the ring. Steve will go one-on-one against the Englishman, George Weingeroff. Adam Anderson vs. George Weingeroff A very good match indeed. The match was back and forth the whole time. Unfortuantly, Anderson got busted open early when George hit him with a chair while the ref was out. This was what cost Anderson the match. He couldn't concentrate and was starting to panic. He tried to hit the Stunner many times but couldn't. Playing dirty again, George ended the match with a Brass Knuckles shot, knocking Anderson right out. That was enough for the three.
