liontamer Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 I'm going to try to make another belt, not sure which yet. in the meantime I could use some help coming up with a name for a new title I'm going to eventually launch. The concept is somewhat like money in the bank, but it's an actual belt. If you hold it for a month with X number of successful defenses you earn a shot at any other title that can be used at any time during your title reign. you lose the title you lose all outstanding title shots. so far the only ideas I have are rising star and contender/top contender, but I'm trying to think of a few others. and good to see your computer is back up reap. I made this one several years ago for a different game I used to play, but it works. and cancel my previous request for belts for now. I'm going to see what I can do first and if I can't figure something out then I'll make a new request. And having done two now I have to say the speed at which you crank these out for everybody is amazing, especially given the level of detail you put in. I have a beveling question for ya too because it seems like my program is inconsistent in the appearance it gives. is the inner vs outer bevel name indicating in what portion of the bevel the letter is raised or which direction the bevel is going (engraved bs sculted). I though it was the second one, but I used inner bvel for the text on the new belt and it still looks like it's coming outward to me. I'm having a hard time figuring out how much wider to make it though, too much takes away from the shape. And yes it is an original. and to reap the main plate is essentially the shape of the current ECW title, I traced it, made it more symmetrical and then put my own stuff on it. the only belt that I've made that's not an original is the tag team titles. Just a quick thought though. Still looks great anyhow Even though this isn't always true, I have noticed that the majority of people on here, prefer the large to small strap. When I first started these, that was one of my major flaws. Took me awhile to come up with a decent enough strap that fit what everyone was looking for. Liontamer, Definately keep this up, another set of "eyes" on these is greatly welcomed. You seem to have a clean, crisp take to this. I think once you get the strap tweaked, you'll be just fine. Also, might want to start trying different colors for your plates. Just a thought. Oh yeah, I'm definately going to "borrow" that plate design. liontamer Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 The thing that makes or breaks my belts is the shine I do at the end. If I showed you the world title prior to the shine it looked pretty crappy. add the shine and it's pretty nice. (right now I'm a little depressed cuz I messed up my setting somewhow right after that last update and it's not looking as nice when I play with it and I can't figure out what's different. what's worse is apparantly I didn't save the presets which I've been trying to always do.) I think the issue with this particular belt is where to center the main part of the strap, I can't get it quite right, even the update looks a little off. some belts I like a more angular strap, but it has to fit the belt. I think for the tag belts it could use a wider strap maybe, but I'd never angle it; it just wouldn't look right to me. As for belt color, I'm actually working on a silver belt for the contender's thing I'm still trying to name (I'm thinking supreme contender at the current time). I'm actually basing the main plate on your TCW hard hitting belt that I like so much (it'll have it's own side plates). The shape of the main plate (minus the ribbon titles) is just about perfect, but it's looking pretty unnatural with the current coloring. and feel free to use anything.
