Alright, maybe "job fodder" is a bit extreme :D, but as Phantom mentioned they were not really well positioned in the tag division at first, generally falling into the background as a loser to another team to better establish them. While not job fodder, they were gate keepers. They lost against "the big teams" and won against the actual job squads. They had a few close calls, but I guess because they've not been featured in nearly as many angles and storylines as the other teams I've viewed it as "not being their time yet." Pretty much all of the SoLL have drifted to the background, which is fine. The big feuds between Divine Right/Mainstream Nation/Freedom-5 were good and deserved to be in the spotlight, and there just wasn't too much room for the SoLL to get involved. However, with those storylines winding down, SoLL, both Angel and the masked duo are finally getting a decent enough push behind them that I could mark them to win with seriousness. As you pointed out, these last few matches have had them defeat some of the bigger names, Animal Magic who have now "switched places" with SoLL as the gatekeepers to the upper tag team area.

Lynch is starting to bang on about how he always knew Power was a hypocrite and that Daniels winning the belt would be the lesser of two evils, even it would mean having the dullest champion in FCW history. Lynch also did not mince his words regarding Alex Braun's idea in making the Mainstream Nation defend their Tag Titles in the Ultimate Endurance match, saying that Braun clearly has it in for the Nation and calling the match a c0ckamamie idea. O'Hara did his usual response to Cueball's rantings saying that Lynch was as ever talking a load of nonsense. Lots of circling to begin with all three unsure whether to make the first move, in the end they all unload on each other with a three way strike battle, Fire Fly then ducks under a chop from myself and I connect with Speed Machine who then fires back...with our focus now on one another, Fire Fly then stuns both of us with a springboard drop-kick. Fire Fly is the first to pop back up reeling off an arm-drag on myself and then taking down Speed Machine with a head-scissors. The champion goes to the floor and Fire Fly winds up for a dive but I cut the LEA man off with a kick. I then take Fire Fly over with a snap suplex before being pulled out of the ring by Speed Machine as I'm making the cover. Speed then proceeded to send me into the barricade and then follow in with a face-wash but he had taken his eye off Fire-Fly who had now gotten back to his feet and wiped Speed out with a springboard splash that sent the champion sprawling into the crowd. Fire Fly then pitched me back into the ring and went for a quick cover, but I was able to get the shoulder up. The diminutive high flyer then decided to head up top but Speed had now raced up to the top turnbuckle and sent Fire Fly crashing back into the ring with a superplex. All three of us took time to recover and when we all refound I feet it was I who struck the first blow with a drop-kick on Speed only for Fire Fly to take me by surprise with the El Cristo (spinning head-scissors into a Crucifix Pin) I was able to kick out just in time and before Fire Fly could make his next move I had him set up for the C.R DRIVER, drilling the LEA man into the canvas but Speed was back up and broke up the pin with the Speed Strike (running knee strike) That looked to have won Speed the match but I was able to kick out at just the last split second, but Speed was now in control and managed to turn me over for the Deadly Heel Hook but all of a sudden Amazing Fire Fly got back up and just as it looked like I might tap, Fire Fly was able to break up the submisson with a drop-kick after running the ropes at lightning speed. Speed then tried to fire back but Fire Fly continued his momentum snapping of a series of head-scissor take-downs before he was able to get Speed trapped in the INFEST HAZARD ! (Triangle Choke) Just ast it looks like Speed is about to tap away the People's belt to Fire Fly I save the match for both Speed and myself with a series of kick combinations..... I then look to set Fire Fly up for a the C.R Driver once again but the LEA man slips out and then nails me with a drop-kick before driving me into the canvas with a bull-dog coming off the ropes. With myself planted firmly onto the canvas and Speed still recovering from the Infest Hazard , Fire Fly decided to head up top but as he came down with the Sky High Fire Fly I suddenly popped back to me feet and turned Fire Fly inside out with the RAINDROP (Dropsault) I looked to had the match in the bag, only for a last ditch save from Speed Machine. Fire Fly managed to avoid getting pinned by Speed Machine but looked to be a non factor after the mid-air bump he took after the Raindrop. Speed and myself just unloaded on each other with Strikes, I then seemed to gain the advantage and looked for the C.R Driver but Speed had it scouted and countered into the Speed Snap...I managed to kick out of the subsquent pin attempt but Speed then applied the SPEEDBREAKER 2000. Speed had his signature submission locked on right in the middle of the ring and my only hope really was for Fire-Fly to make the save but just as Fire-Fly had managed to roll back into the ring it was too late , I couldn't bare the pain anymore and ended up tapping out. A good opener but as a fair few people thought this brought closure to this chapter of Speed's reign, especially concerning my own involvement in the People's title picture with Speed yet again earning decisive victory over myself. However Angel was able to kick out and that seemed to send Java over the edge and the Indonesian Beast tossed Angel into the corner and then unleashed a flurry of offence on the patriotic masked man. Michael Bull then pleased for Java to back off and allow for Angel to be un-tangled from the corner but Java just shoved Bull aside and continued his mauling of Angel. Bull was far from happy at Java ignoring the rules and called for the DQ. The fans were far from happy from that ruling though letting Michael 'No BS' Bull know that they fought his decision was a load of BS despite the man they had support for (in this case Angel) picking up the victory. As per usual Mr Electricity was in the mood for some dancing, suprisingly instead of just slugging the flamboyant disco dancer, R!ot also joined in with the dancing but you could always see that he was actually mocking the Dance2Win man and after the little dance off finished the de-facto leader of Devine Right did proceed to take down Electricity with a vicious lariat. Apart from a few hope spots for Electricity to fire back when an arrogant R!ot took his foot off the case, this was pretty much all one way traffic with R!ot finally putting the Dance2Win man away just shy of nine minutes with the 'Charles Peterson' Exploder Suplex, so called because when delivered it looks as good as a photograph of a classic grunge band (e.g Soundgarden) taken by a man who goes by the name of Charles Peterson. The match for just over ten minutes and picked up pace fairly quickly for a 4CS with everyone getting in a good amount of offence. The finishing sequence saw Quentin Queen stun Malilli Umaga with the Q-Ball (Spinning Leg Hook Belly to Back Suplex) and it looked like the teenager might pull of a major upset only for Jared Johnson to break up the pin by driving Queen head first into the mat with the Tar Heel Stomp. Double J then applied the Carolina Crossface but just as it looked like Queen might tap...Peverall dove in to make the save. Peverall and Johnson then brawled, which suited Peverall more than Johnson and lead to the Dance2Win man levelling Johnson with the Rock Hard Uppercut but it wasn't to be Peverall's day as a refreshed Malilli Umaga felled him from behind with a Northern Lariat before tossing Peverall overhead with the Samoan Suplex to seal the victory and with Peverall eating the pin, it completed a bad day at the office for the increasingly hapless Dance2Win. The first part is the Falls Count Anywhere scramble which kicks off as soon as the champions appear on the entrance ramps and is soon become suitably chaotic given the rules in place. The action is fast and furious throughout with multiple dive to the outside spots, including a spot where Soul Krusher lifts Mainstream Hernandez up into a miltiary press and the launches his own partner onto everyone else, the action is almost too fast and chaotic for everyone to keep up but their alot of close near-falls that include Soul Krusher sending Ultimate Phoenix through a table with a Dead Man Walking, the Sons of Lucha Libre taking out Mainstream Hernandez with the lucha Dreams, Animal Magic going close by nailing Soul Krusher with the Last Hunt and Fox Mask hitting the Fox Flip Off DDT on Capitao Brasil Jr from the apron to the floor. Ultimately though in the end, despite all the rapid speed high flying of everyone else in the match, the difference maker seemed to be the monsterous Soul Krusher who began to use his 6 ft 5, 330 Ib frame to dominate the opposition and in the end it was Masked Cougar who found himself in trouble after Krusher was able to swat away a High Rise Cougar Pounce attempt. Cougar then fell victim to the Death to the Mainstream as Mainstream Hernandez climbed to the top....Fox Mask unable to save his partner after the was on the receiving end of a Brainbuster from Phoenix Negra. Nothing wrong with the effort or action in this match, but the scramble rules meant that the match lacked structure and it turned into a spot-fest. To be honest five minutes could have been shaven off as there seemed to be alot of setting up for spots. Result: Mainstream Nation defeated The Brothers Phoenix, The Sons of Lucha Libre and Animal Magic in 15:38 when Soul Krusher defeated Masked Cougar by pinfall. Rating: C- Match #5B: Ultimate Endurance for the Tag Team Championship (Fall #2: Tap Out) Mainstream Nation (Mainstream Hernandez & Soul Krusher) vs The Brothers Phoenix (Ultimate Phoenix & Phoenix Negra) vs The Sons of Lucha Libre (El Mitico Jr & Capitao Brasil Jr) The difference between this and the last fall is that tags are necessary and that the fall must take place in the ring. After some basic exchanges, the pace begins to pick up around the four minute mark, with Negra taking down Capitao Brasil Jr with a springboard roundhouse kick , before setting up for the brainbuster but Capitao has that scouted and slips out before tagging into El Mitico Jr. Negra charged in at Mitico but the silver masked luchadore side-stepped out of the way and then took Negra over with a release German suplex. Mitico then dragged Negra over to the Sons of Lucha Libre corner where, they began to work over the legs of the former Undisputed Champion....Capitao then looked to lock in his A Prayer For Mercy (inverted Figure Four) but Negra managed to scramble across to the ropes before he could really lock it on and when they got back to their feet, Negra was able to stun Capitao with a brainbuster. Meanwhile the champions have been catching a breather as they stay out of the ring and when Negra goes to tag in Ultimate Phoenix...Mainstream Hernandez comes rushing across the apron to drop-kick Phoenix into the barricade...Soul Krusher then comes rushing out of the corner to knock El Mitico Jr off the apron and then dumps Negra with the Dead Man Walking Unable to tag in Mitico, Capitao is forced to tag out to Mainstream Hernandez, who then stalked Negra before lining up and almost snapping the head off the mysterious masked man with a super-kick. But with the submission only rules in place Hernandez would have to go for a submission. The Mainstreamer then looked to synch in the Love Me Now ! and the leader of the Mainstream Nation climbed to the second turnbuckle ready to deliver a diving DDT as he waited for a groggy Negra to get back to his feet as he revelled in the fans hatred. But the Mainstreamer had foolishly counted out Ultimate Phoenix who made a blind tag on Mainstream Hernandez before bringing the Mainstream Nation leader crashing back into the ring with a rana. Phoenix then followed up with the Flaming Driver on the Mainstreamer and synched in the Elemental Cluch but the Mainstreamer was not the legal man...Negra was ! Negra had however recovered and tagged El Mitico Jr into the match, who came charging out of his corner and straight past Phoenix to knock Soul Krusher off the apron. Mitico then looked to set to go to toe with Phoenix until the two masked men suddenly turned both of their attentions to Mainstream Hernandez....Phoenix then dragged a worn down Mainstreamer over to the corner and tagged himself out, turning the Mainstream Nation leader over to El Mitico. Mitico then turned Hernandez over into a Boston Crab only for a incensed Soul Krusher to barge past Michael Bull and rush in to make the save. Even though Krusher was ordered back to his corner the 'save' was enough for Hernandez to be able to re-group and sneak in a low blow behind the back of Michael Bull. Hernandez then using his survival instinct tagged out to Phoenix Negra before getting in a cheap shot on the mysterious masked man allowing for Mitico to get the tag into Capitao Brasil Jr. Capitao then took down Negra with a leg-sweep and looked to lock on A Prayer For Mercy but Negra had it scouted, working his way out of the move and then as they rose to their feet Negra caught Capitao in a front facelock before drilling the LEA man into the canvas with a brainbuster...Negra then locked on the Last Chancery ! But just as it looked like Capitao was about to tap El Mitico Jr made the save. Mitico then tagged himself in, where he then almost decapitated Negra with a discus clothesline...Mitico then lifted Negra up onto his shoulders and drilled Negra into the canvas with a Mitico Driver. Mitico then decided to turn it back over to Capitao Brasil Jr but instead of going straight for the submission he took the decision to head up top and go for his Fall From Rio (Swanton Bomb) that however proved to be poor decision as Negra got the knees up and then caught Capitao in the Last Chancery ! Capitao however was able to bravely fight his way to the ropes, where Mainstream Hernandez then made a blind tag on Phoenix Negra on the rope break....with Capitao still trying to shake off the effects of the Last Chancery....Hernandez then spiked Capitao into the mat with a running DDT before locking on his Love Me Now ! Guillotine choke. Krusher the proceeded to make sure that El Mitico Jr wasn't go to make the save as the Brothers Phoenix decided to take no action realising that the Sons of Lucha Libre were about to be eliminated despite their active dislike of the champions. The submission element meant that the second fall had a different dynamic to the first fall, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing as they slowed the pace down here to a more measured pace and began to tell a story in the ring. With the champions so far eliminating both Animal Magic and the Sons of Lucha Libre they go into the final fall looking like the team to beat. Result: Mainstream Nation defeated The Brothers Phoenix and The Sons of Lucha Libre in 15:55 when Mainstream Hernandez defeated El Mitico Jr by submission. With Hernandez and Phoenix going toe to toe out in the crowd (neither giving an inch to the other) Krusher went outside to get a ladder. With Phoenix occupied and Negra down Krusher set up the ladder in the middle of the ring and began to climb, but the big man was slow making his way up the rungs and Phoenix had just planted the Mainstreamer into a pile of chairs with an Elemental Suplex.....Just as Krusher was about to bring the belt down...Phoenix kicked the ladder out from underneath with a springboard missile drop-kick, causing Krusher to lose his balance and take an almighty bump to the bottom. Phoenix then set the ladder up and began to climb but Hernandez was back up and sneaked into the ring before sneaking up behind Phoenix and sending the former two time Undisputed Champion crashing to the canvas with a backwards leg-sweep. That also took a bit out of the Mainstreamer and with Negra now shaking off the effects of Krusher's Dead Man Walking, the former rival of Ultimate Phoenix began to climb the ladder but all of a sudden Krusher was now back up and scooped Negra up off the ladder into the Electric Chair Position, meanwhile Mainstream Hernandez had started to climb the ladder himself managing to kick off Ultimate Phoenix attemps at preventing him to do so. Hernandez could have had the match won there and then but decided against doing so and lept off the ladder to send Negra crashing off Krusher's shoulders with the DEATH TO THE MAINSTREAM ! The champions didn't just want to win the match they wanted to send a message to the rest of the Tag Division, the rest of FCW. But their arrogance was about to cost them, Ultimate Phoenix blasted Mainstream Hernandez around the head with the ladder before dropping it and nailing Krusher with a drop-kick..that seemed to have no effect to Phoenix then spring boarded off the top-rope to nail Krusher with the Roundhouse Kick. Still Krusher stayed on his feet however, so Phoenix headed up top and went for a Tornado DDT but Krusher caught him mid-move and powerbombed him down to the canvas. Hernandez then began to set the ladder up in the corner but was blasted from behind and sent out of the ring with a drop-kick from a recovered Phoenix Negra but as Negra set up for the no hands plancha he was turned inside out with a vicious clothesline from Soul Krusher. The monsterous Krusher then stood tall in the middle of the ring...Hernandez who had now shaken off the effects of the drop-kick ordered his powerful henchman to 'FINISH THEM' and pointed towards the ladder he had propped up in the corner. Krusher lifted Ultimate Phoenix up for a the Dead Man Walking but the ever popular masked man was playing possum and sent the hulking Mainstream Nation member crashing through the ladder with a swinging DDT...breaking the ladder in two and effectively leaving Krusher a quivering heap amongst the shattered pieces. Mainstream Hernanandez was back in however and low blowed Phoenix from behind before he could follow up and then proceeded to plant Phoenix into the canvas with the Pontiac to Home...Negra was now back up however and came charging only for Hernandez to stop him in his tracks with a Superkick. Despite the fact that his own partner was looking like a non factor, Hernandez stood tall in the middle of the ring and began the process of bringing in another ladder. Hernandez set the new ladder up underneath the belt and once again began to climb but Phoenix had got back up and raced up the other side of the ladder, before sending Hernandez crashing to the mat with a sunset flip off the top of the ladder !! The move also took alot out of Phoenix but Hernandez had clearly taken the worse of the fall. Negra then got up and began to climb the ladder but all of a sudden Mainstream Hernandez lackeys Spirit and Joseph hit the ring and prevented Negra from climbing the ladder. Spirit and Joseph then began to double team Negra, as Phoenix tried to recover from sunset flipping Hernandez off the top of the ladder. But Phoenix did manage to pick himself up off the mat and helped Negra fend off the Mainstream Nation lackeys...with the Brothers Phoenix eventually taking care of the pair simultaneously Negra with a brainbuster on Spirit and Ultimate Phoenix with the Flaming Driver on Joseph but as they were being occupied Mainstream Hernandez had begun to shake off the effects and was now climbing the ladder but Negra soon spotted this and stunned Hernandez with a jumping Enziguri causing Hernandez to fall off the ladder that was followed by a Brainbuster and Negra syching the Last Chancery to keep Hernandez neutralized. Phoenix meanwhile began to climb up the opposite side of the ladder but Krusher was stirring once again.... could Phoenix bring down the belt before Krusher could get back to his feet ?....... Krusher was back to his feet but...... Phoenix had unhooked the belt, the Tag Team Title reign of Mainstream Nation was over ! The Brothers Phoenix had done it, once bitter rivals they had come together to win the Tag Team Championship. We were hoping for each fall to get progressively better and the final fall provided plenty of drama. Some may see the Tag Belts as 'beneath' the Brothers Phoenix but the division has certainly improved over the past year and always was my aim to make the belts mean something. The Mainstream Nation had a gone run with the belts and helped take the Tag Division to new heights but having two wrestlers of the Phoenii's calibre hold the belts perhaps makes them even more desirable. Power then whips Daniels across the ring, using the momentum to send Daniels up and over with a huge back body drop and then delivering another clothesline for a two count. Power then whipped Daniels into the corner and came charging in only for Daniels to get the boots up, Power charged in again but once again Daniels was able to stop Power before firing back with a flurry of fore-arms that sent Power staggering backwards. Daniels then went up top and went for a missile drop-kick only for Power to side-step out of the way and then scoop Daniels up for a powerslam. That earned Power another two count who then lifted Daniels up for a vertical suplex. Power impressively held Daniels up in the air for almost half a minute, before sending Daniels crashing down to the mat. Once again Daniels managed to kick out of the subsequent cover but Power was looking in total control at this stage, so much so that he lined up for the San Juan Rush but the FREEDOM-5 leader knew what was coming and managed to roll out of the ring to catch a breather. Power knowing that Daniels would have to get back into the ring to claim the Twin Belts, simply waited for his opponent to get back in the ring and when Daniels did it was clear he had re-grouped avoding a clothesline from Power and then peppering the champion with a flurry of fore-arms but the patriotic champion shrugged off Daniels offence and came back with another clothesline.....but was unable to follow up as Daniels once again squirmed out of the ring much to the frustratiion of Power and the fans in attendance. When Daniels got back up on the apron it was clear that Power was becoming a little more rattled by the FREEDOM-5 leaders stalling tactics and went to bring Daniels back in the 'hard way' but Daniels got in a shoulder block to double over Power before snapping Powers neck across the top-rope with a neckbreaker, turning the match a full 180 in the FREEDOM-5 leaders favour. After Daniels tried to take immediate advantage with a quick cover he continued to stomp away on Power , only for the re-born patriot to start firing back. Power then had Daniels set up for the San Juan Impact (Full Nelson Slam) but the FREEDOM-5 leader managed to work his way out by stomping on Powers feet and then doubled Power over with a questionably low boot to the mid-section. Daniels then followed in with a basement drop-kick that unbalanced Power and then rebounded back off the ropes to nail Power with a roaring elbow just as the champion was regaining his balance..... Daniels immediately went for the cover..... One..... Two..... Power kicked out with authority but Daniels kept the pressure on stomping away on Power before heading up to the second rope to deliver a knee drop to the back of Powers neck.... One...... Two...... Thr...... Power once again managed to kick out much to Daniels frustration, who started to pace around and when the FREEDOM-5 leader did go to follow up, Power once again fired back, Power then whipped Daniels across the ring only for Daniels to stun Power with a leaping knee strike. Power managed to stay on his feet but was stunned enough for Daniels to pepper him with a flurry of elbow strikes, with Power wilting Daniels then trapped the arms of the champion and began to reign in the RELENTLESS KNEE STRIKES ! But just as it looked like Power wouldn't have anything left, he was willed on by the support of the fans and using all he had left in the tank drove Daniels and himself to the ring-ropes, to force the rope-break. Daniels did not ease up though, as he continued to pepper Power with knee strikes as they were tangled in the ropes, using the full five count to his advantage, whilst drawing a warning from Dewey Libertine. Power was then barely allowed to get away from the ropes by Daniels who continued his assault, but that only saw them get tangled up amongst the ropes once again and Libertine urged a fired up Daniels to back off. This caused Daniels to lose some focus and start arguing with the foilically challenged referee and when Daniels did turn his attention back to Power, the champion managed to get his big boot up to stop Daniels in his tracks and then fire back with a desperation clothesline before slumping to the mat. Both got up before Libertine could ring the bell for a double count out and it appeared to be Daniels who was still the fresher and came charging towards Power but the patriotic champion stopped the F-5 leader in his tracks with a roaring elbow......Daniels the staggered into the Atomic Drop before Power planted Daniels onto the mat with the Spinebuster !! The fans knew what was coming, Daniels knew what was coming but then all of a sudden Nicky R!ot hit the ring ....Chair shot on Power before he could deliver the San Juan Rush ! Power stays on his feet...SUB POP BOP ! Dewey Libertine sees no choice but to call for the DQ, the fans are from happy as they rain down a chorus of boos...knowing that R!ot had just 'ruined' the main event with his un welcome inteference. Daniels did a great job of playing the de-facto heel in the match, whilst his tactics tied in with his being willing to do anything to takes to win promo from earlier in the show but it has to be said that despite doing a decent job of adapting to Power's basic brawling style....much of Daniels signature offence was stifled here, so this was very much a match where the emotion and occasion of the match carried it rather than the quality of the in-ring action itself. Result: Puerto Rican Power defeated Dean Daniels in 15:06 when Dean Daniels was disqualified when Nicky R!ot ran in and attacked Puerto Rican Power. DANIELS CRACKS THE CHAIR OVER THE HEAD OF PUERTO RICAN POWER ! ! The fans are in shock, Daniels had just turned man who helped his own FREEDOM-5 faction defeat Devine Right. Daniels and R!ot then look at each other and then proceed to put the boots to Power, as the fans let them know just what they think of their actions. R!ot then leaves the ring to a chorus of boos but Daniels stays behind...he lifts up the twin belts stares at them and then lays them over the fallen body of Puerto Rican Power. The fans letting him know just what they think of his post match actions. Are Daniels and R!ot now aligned together, or is Power now just a mutual enemy...will the rest of FREEDOM-5 continue to be behind Daniels following his actions...so many questions will have to be answered. Rating: C Notes: Dean Daniels heel turn was a complete success. _______________________________________________________ Overall: C This was a classic case of a show where he had too much time to work with, and with Power currently holding the twin belts we are unable to just send a couple of guys out there to eat up 25-30 minutes in the main event. Despite the disappointing overall grade we didn't actually lose any popularity with this show, which is not so bad...it's just that with this being one of big shows I expected a C+ at the very least.
I'm amazed Krusher had the stamina for that. Nice one with Daniels, though. Somehow I can see him one-upping Devine with Devine Right in the near future...
I think if I had booked the Ultimate Endurance as just one match, rather than three seperate matches with a 'rest period' between each fall then Krusher wouldn't have had the Stamina for it. I was very mindful to book the match that way and keep each 'fall' around the 15 minute mark because that's about Krusher's limit. Besides Billy Jack was 'napping' for about half of the Ladder fall after he was DDT'd through the ladder. ;)

April in Review April was in all honestly a frustrating month. Mejor Que Nuestro Mejor IV was disappointing (though I felt the C grade was harsh myself) and we lost around $20,0000...on a more positive note our Destraillado show did help us regain a foothold in the South East once again but we will need to visit their more regularly if we are to maintain that foothold. Next month though to gain back some money we will be just running one show next month, in Puerto Rico and we should endeavour to make it a good show to make up for the disappointment of MQNM IV. The plan after that is to perhaps bring back the En Viaje shows when going outside of Puerto Rico, these were shorter/cheaper shows and in all honestly after regaining a foothold once again in regions like Tri-State and South East we should be able to get away with just putting on stellar shows rather than offering up the same quality as we put on back home. Dean Daniels, Nicky R!ot, Amazing Fire Fly, Bradford Peverall and Joe Benning (Joseph) all signed new deals with us this month. Daniels and Fire Fly were no brainiers in retaining, whilst Peverall and Benning are loyal lower card servants. R!ot's contract was the most touch and go of everyone this month but his demands were just about reasonable enough for us to keep him round, it was refreshing to see him not demand a guaranteed title run in his latest contract renegotiation with us. Paul Huntingdon's appearance at the Destraillado show was just a one off. He could be a good addition to our roster, but with our non aggression pact in place with SWF (where Huntingdon is currently on a PPA deal), it is unlikely that he will be returning any time soon. In some ways that pact puts us at a disadvantage but should SWF get out of their current slump (and they have their resources to do so) we are protected from them raiding us. _____________________________________________________________ Rival Promotion Watch The 2013 edition of CZCW's Spring Break Bash was a good show (B-) that had a solid undercard topped off by Ernest Youngman's strongest defence of the Coastal Zone Championship yet (B), it should come as little surprise that his opponent for that defence was Ultimate Phoenix. MAW Out of Control was a slightly disappointing effort (C-) topped off by a laboured defence of the Mid Atlantic championship by the ageing Johnny Martin against the similarly ageing JD Morgan. Match of the night came in the semi main event and saw Henry Lee go over Malilli Umaga in a street fight that played to Lee's strengths (C+). NYCW's Phoenix rising was there best effort in about half a year (C) and saw Andre Jones make one of his better defences of the Empire Title in the main event against Edd Stone (C+) that was however matches as match of the night with the Lee Rivera-Bradford Peverall match near the start of the show that saw Rivera go over. PSW put on what must have been their greatest show ever, with their Supremacy show (C+), topped off by a strong (by their standards) defence of the PSW Championship from Johnny Martin against Paul Huntingdon (C+). Though with a string of D+ matches, then a C semi main event...I'm at a loss at to why this show got a better grade on the Ryland scale than ours this month ?! RIPW also put on stellar effort this month with Raining Blood (C), that saw Avalanche succesfully defend the RIPW Championship against Johnny Martin in the main event (C) Not our best month against our rivals this month, with the biggsest bug-bear being that PSW of all people put on a better show (apparently) than us this month. But in my honest opinion the C for our show and the C+ for their show should have honestly been the other way round. Makes me think if we shouldn't bother putting on a good undercard and just rely on the main event if that is how they come to judging what makes a good show. Dazzling Dave Diamond leaves MAW after they fail to come to agreement over a new contract. MOSC decide against renewing the contract of Arthur.T Turtle. Edward Cornell leaves ROF, after they failed to meet his demands over a new contract. Christian Faith's near 25 year association with the SWF came to an end when he decided against renewing his contract with the ailing former giants. Faith's final match in the SWF saw him fail in an attempt to win the World Title for the first since 2005 against Steve Frehley. Injuries NOTBPW lower carder Biff the Bruiser will be out of action for a whole year after suffering a herniated spinal disc. British wrestling stalwart Leo Price's career could be in jeopardy after shattering his knee, an injury that will keep him on the shelf for over a year at the very least. Puroresu Journeyman Battle Sakata has a torn stomach muscle and will be out of action for a month. Worker Retirements The popular veteran Steve Flash hung up his boots for the final time this month at the Age of 46. Flash's career hit it's biggest heights in the mid nineties where he held the Tag Team Championship in both CGC and NOTBPW but it was with Rapid Pro Wrestling with whom he had his greatest success holding their World Title three times before the promotion went out of business in 1997. When RPW did go out of business Flash's career somewhat stalled, despite having spells with HGC (before they were TCW) and NOTBPW for a second spell back in his native Canada, Flash never rose above the mid-card in those promotions and many feel had he joined DaVE after they had won the East Coast Wars then his career may have taken a very different path. In 2005 he joined NYCW and many saw this as a sign that Flash's career was winding down, but as with RPW a decade earlier he was treated as star performer in the Regional sized promotion and he enjoyed a career rennaisance of sorts winning their Empire Title (twice), Tri-State Regional and Tag Team championships in a six year run with the promotion. Flash also worked on and off for FCW during that period and though he never captured any championships he played an important role in helping Puerto Rican Power's promotion grow into one of the more notable independents over the past few years. In 2012 he was given the opportunity to once again return to his native Canada with NOTBPW, and it was there that Flash brought his career to a close. Somewhat fittingly in a career that saw the unselfish Flash use his own skill to make others look good, his final match saw him put over another rising star in the form of Darryl Devine. Long term GCG stalwart Naonobu Murkami brought his career to a close aged 46. Murkami enjoyed his greatest success at the turn of the millennium where he held the GCG World Heavyweight Championship for a dominant three year run, however that title run failed to catapult Murkami into superstardom and many feel that his long reign with the World Title helped to accelerate the continuing dowward spiral that GCG were on since the early nineties and after his reign as World Champion was brought to an end he failed to regain his spot at the top of Golden Canvas. Despite that he remained a well respected member of the roster and he also enjoyed notable success in the Tag ranks where he twice won the GCG Tag Titles alongside Shotaro Ikina in the late nineties and more recently a few years back alongside Kiminobu Kuroki. Also in GCG Roku Sotomura has been forced to retire at the Age of 34 through injury. Sotumura suffered a spinal disalignment last year and even though he is walking, doctors have advised him not to wrestle again. Somewhat derogitively referred to as the 'master of the chinlock' because of his fondess for rest holds, Sotomura was in all respects a solid mid-card prescense for GCG over the past five years with his greatest success in 2009 when he held the Openweight Title for 5 months. The Mexican powerhouse Verdugo Estupendo (known as Torque for most of his career) called time on his career at the Age of 46. Estupendo/Torque never won any titles but was always seen as a big threatening monster/heel for most of his career and was often used as a 'roadblock' for the heroic babyface to get past in order to face whoever the top heel was at the time. His early career saw him flit between OLLIE and MPWF before he settled at SOTBPW, it was at SOTBPW that his career got more focus and he had his most notable feud with Mexican Beast throughout 2006-2007. With the La Allianza Del Terror storyline winding down by 2009, the ageing Estupendo slid down the card to become a mid-card gatekeeper and in 2011 he was released by the promotion. He spent the last few years of his career working on the Mexican Exhibition show circuit. Title Changes Pitbull Brown's and Leo Prices two year long 21CW Tag Team Title run was finally brought to an end by the tandem of Jay B and Louis Figo Manico (collectively known as The Buccanners) June Butler saw her latest reign as All Asian champion in 5SSW ended by Saori Nakadan, who wins the belt for a third time. Good Lookin' Bunny (Jessica Bunny and Katherine Goodlooks) became the new BSC Girl Power Tag champions. With Goodlooks also holding the Queen of the Ring title, GLB currently hold all the gold in BSC. Missy Masterson and Eve Grunge defeated Kristabel Plum and Viv Jacobs to claim the vacant CWWF Tag Team Titles. White Knight claimed the vacant EWA European title after defeating his perennial rival Scheming Behemoth. Mexican Ghoul's reign as Nacional champion in MHW lasted less than a month, with Enrique Merino being the one to bring it to an abrupt end. Payaso Jr won the Campeon de Lucha title for the first time in MPWF to end the half year long reign of Magnifico. Apprentica Jr ended Hijo Del Relampago's reign with the Campeon de Mexico title in OLLIE, to win the belt for the first time. Eisaku Kunomasu followed up his triumph in this years Elite Series by defeating PRIDE Koiso to claim the PGHW Glory Crown title for a third time. Ryu Kajahara regained the WLW Street Fighting Title from Rhino Umaga, to win the belt for a sixth time.

Fans were left shocked by Dean Daniels post match turn on the patriotic champion and even though they did not officially announce an alliance' Daniels appeared to be in union with rival Nicky R!ot in putting the boots to the champion. Has the leader of FREEDOM-5 and the de-facto leader of Devine Right formed an unlikely alliance ? With that in mind one has to wonder if Power is in theory heading into what could be a handicap match in his latest title defence or will the lure of the twin belts divide Daniels 'and R!ot's alliance, that is if there is one at all. It's a match that has so many questions to be answered, as Power makes what could be his toughest defence yet of the twin belts. The Brothers Phoenix toppled Mainstream Nation in the Ultimate Endurance at Mejor Que Nuestro IV but they will be back in the type of action where both really made mark their mark in FCW in singles competition. The most enticing of these match up's see's Ultimate Phoenix take on Mainstream Hernandez who will be looking for revenge at losing the Tag Team Titles. Even just six months ago, a Hernandez victory here would have been seen as an upset but the leader of the Mainstream Nation holds a relativelty recent singles victory over the former two time Undisputed Champion that came in the Undisputed Title tournament during February, where Hernandez reached the finals to almost become the champion. Phoenix Negra meanwhile takes on a man who appears to be courted by the Mainstream Nation, that of Amo Del Gato. Del Gato has found wins hard to come by in FCW but Hernandez who seems to have a fondness for 'rescuing' so called lost causes like Del Gato has been trying to the 'cat master' to try and join his 'revolution'. Thus far Del Gato hasn't said yes to the Mainstreamer's proposal, yet he hasn't flat you refused to join either. There will be Six Man action with the Lucha Equity Alliance trio of Angel de Mexico, Amazing Fire Fly and Capitao Brasil Jr taking on the trio of Malilli Umaga , Java and the People's champion Speed Machine. Angel De Mexico has been enbroiled in a battle with Umaga and Java over recent months, whilst Amazing Fire Fly has thus far come up short in his attempts to wrestle the People's championship from Speed. Meanwhile Capitao's regular Tag partner El Mitico Jr takes on FREEDOM-5's Charles Rainier. Rainier will be looking to bounce back from defeat to Speed Machine, whilst Mitico will be looking to prove that he is merely a Tag Team specialist. There will be Tag Team action with Bulldozer Brandon Smith & Arthur Dexter Bradley battling with 'HockPrime'. Hocking and Primus scored a victory over the Devine Right pair earlier in the year in the Tag contenders tournament and will be looking to prove once again that they are the better team, BBS & ADB will merely be looking to get their win back and to leap-frog 'HockPrime' in line for a Tag Team Title shot. The other Tag match see's two teams with a love of music be it the Beatles or 70's disco but not it appears of winning matches as Los Beetoolz takes on Dance2Win in what could be referred to as the Tag Division's wooden spoon match. Rounding out the main show Animal Magic's Masked Cougar takes on the promising youngster Quentin Queen..who is still looking for his first win in FCW. The pre-show will be see Jared Johnson take on Patrick Cudelli and Remmy Honeyman goes up against Mainstream Nation's Joseph. Peligro A Continuacion Undisputed Championship: Puerto Rican Power vs Dean Daniels vs Nicky R!ot Shock change and short reign - but I think R!ot is going to prove to have been in cahoots with Daniels to set all this up, and that in cahoots Daniels will finally stake his claim to the top. Accordingly, I'm expecting people like Angel de Mexico to be stepping up, along with En Viaje guest star returnees & face challengers. Special Attraction Match: Ultimate Phoenix vs Mainstream Hernandez Meanwhile, the leader of the Mainstream Nation takes it to the Power, tying him up in a feud that should hopefully tune him up a little while boosting Hernandez a little higher. Six Man Battle: Angel De Mexico, Amazing Fire Fly & Capitao Brasil Jr vs Malilli Umaga, Java & Speed Machine Boosts the Angel, gives part of the Sons the rub, and sets up Fire Fly and Speed Machine for more. Charles Rainier vs El Mitico Jr El Mitico steps through the gateway. BBS & ADB vs 'HockPrime' Amo Del Gato vs Phoenix Negra Masked Cougar vs Quentin Queen Dance2Win vs Los Beetoolz Jared Johnson vs Patrick Cudelli Joseph vs Remmy Honeyman

Predictions Form: Peligro A Continuacion Undisputed Championship: Puerto Rican Power vs Dean Daniels vs Nicky R!ot I could see Daniels picking up the win here, and maybe to really push on, you might need him to, but I'll go with Power retaining when Daniels and R!ot fall out with the titles on the line Special Attraction Match: Ultimate Phoenix vs Mainstream Hernandez Phoenix takes the win, but I'd expect Mainstream to be kept strong, so possibly a DQ victory Six Man Battle: Angel De Mexico, Amazing Fire Fly & Capitao Brasil Jr vs Malilli Umaga, Java & Speed Machine Does team chemistry not effect 6-man matches then? Or are you just hoping the others can cover for it anyway? Either way, I'm going for the heel win, probably with Brasil Jr taking the loss Charles Rainier vs El Mitico Jr I can see Mitico picking up a bit of a shock win, but Rainier probably needs to be kept somewhat strong BBS & ADB vs 'HockPrime' Two teams with no real direction at the moment, and one problem with the tag belts being on the Phoenii - neither team would be believable challengers to them. Amo Del Gato vs Phoenix Negra Not sure where the Del Gato thing is going, but he's not getting a win here Masked Cougar vs Quentin Queen QQ is still paying his dues, so a chance for Cougar to get a rare singles win Dance2Win vs Los Beetoolz Two jobbers squash another two jobbers Jared Johnson vs Patrick Cudelli Squash Joseph vs Remmy Honeyman Tempted to go the other way here, but Joseph is 'slightly' be interesting than Remmy at the moment.

Undisputed Championship: Puerto Rican Power vs Dean Daniels vs Nicky R!ot I think Daniels and R!ot aren't in cahoots at all. I think Daniels may end up as a 'no messing, look out for number one only' kind of guy. So they work a bit in tandem here, then get in each other's way and R!ot ends up eating a pin from Power. Special Attraction Match: Ultimate Phoenix vs Mainstream Hernandez At the moment, you need one or two strong heels, and Hernandez fits the bill nicely. Six Man Battle: Angel De Mexico, Amazing Fire Fly & Capitao Brasil Jr vs Malilli Umaga, Java & Speed Machine Agree with what's been said above - Angel needs to look stronger. Fire Fly can challenge for Speed Machine's belt again. Charles Rainier vs El Mitico Jr Agree with what others have said BBS & ADB vs 'HockPrime' Hockprime got the win earlier in the year, so this would level up the scores. It would then set up a rubber match, giving them both something to do for another show. Plus, with face champs, heel challengers makes more sense too. Amo Del Gato vs Phoenix Negra Amo may be proving himself, but he's not going over Negra. I'm expecting Soul Krusher to interfere though. Masked Cougar vs Quentin Queen I like QQ and hope he does more in future. But for now he won't. Dance2Win vs Los Beetoolz I think they'll win, because Los Beetolz surely won't. But I don't think Dance2Win are long for this world now. I'm expecting one of them to turn heel on the other shortly - probably Peverell on Singh. Jared Johnson vs Patrick Cudelli Joseph vs Remmy Honeyman Don't much fancy the chances of Patrick 'Duane Gill' Cudelli and Remmy 'Barry Horowitz' Honeyman here.

Finally have a stable internet connection!!! Undisputed Championship: Puerto Rican Power vs Dean Daniels vs Nicky R!ot R!ot's and Daniels' need for the title is what will have PRP get the win. Special Attraction Match: Ultimate Phoenix vs Mainstream Hernandez The Cornellverse's Jimmy Jacobs is on a streak in singles matches and has already pulled off the upset. Doing it again won't seem as much of an upset now IMO. Six Man Battle: Angel De Mexico, Amazing Fire Fly & Capitao Brasil Jr vs Malilli Umaga, Java & Speed Machine For no other reason than that the Speed Machine as been almost unstoppable. Charles Rainier vs El Mitico Jr Keep yourself strong. BBS & ADB vs 'HockPrime' I see so many tag team moves with this team that it is crazy. Plus I dig the name. Amo Del Gato vs Phoenix Negra Glorified squash but ADG was voted back because the guy's got talent. PN could rub off on ADG a little bit. Masked Cougar vs Quentin Queen Another squash but Double Q will look good. Dance2Win vs Los Beetoolz My mom saw me looking at this team and fell in love with Mr. Electricity and I am a huge Peverall mark so they get my vote. Jared Johnson vs Patrick Cudelli Two words, many syllables(hope I spelled that right) - Carolina RULES!!! Joseph vs Remmy Honeyman Unfortunately for Remmy, Joseph has a stable behind him.

Cudelli to his credit did a decent job here of making Double J look good, but it's unlikely that he'll get his contract renewed due to the fact that because he was in USPW at one time he should be higher up the card and racking up more wins. This was a pretty short match, that was more about a bit of angle advancement that the match itself. Negra pretty much dominated from start to finish and looked set to put Del Gato away, after drilling the 'cat master' into the mat with a Brainbuster, only for Mainstream Nation's Soul Krusher to level him from behind with a clothesline. Leaving Dewey Libertine no choice but to reward Negra the DQ victory. Result: Phoenix Negra defeated Amo Del Gato in 5:36 when Amo Del Gato was disqualified when Soul Krusher ran in and attacked Phoenix Negra. Rating: D+ Krusher then mauls Negra for a bit, before planting the Tag champion onto the mat with a Dead Man Walking. Del Gato just stand there and watches the assault, he then looks set to either join in with the assault/or make the save but as Krusher delivers a second Dead Man Walking on Negra he decides to just leave the ring instead. Leaving the fans confused once again as to where he stands with the Mainstream Nation. Rating: C+ ____________________________________________________ Match #2: Charles Rainier vs El Mitico Jr vs This was a decent back and forth contest that just lacked that bit of extra spark to take it to that next level due to a lack of crowd heat because of the face/face dynamic. The early going saw plenrty of chain wrestling that ended up in several stale-mates, the pace then began to quicken about five minutes in with the momentum shifting several times with Mitico scoring near-falls via his arsenal of suplexes and myself almost stealing wins via the likes of cross body presses and quick roll-ups. The finishing stretch saw me plant Mitico with a diving Bull-Dog before heading up top to set up for a moonsault but Mitico popped back up and dumped me back into the ring with a belly to back superplex, Mitico then took full control as we got back to his feet by planting me across his knee with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker before the LEA member sealed what should be seen as a decent victort for himself in singles competition with the Mitico Driver. Result: El Mítico Jr defeated Charles Rainier in 11:33 by pinfall with a Mitico Driver. 'HockPrime' came out of traps strong in the early going, before Lisa Bowen managed to use her charms to distract Michael 'No BS' Bull from keeping his eye on the action in the ring, which in turn allowed for BBS & ADB to predictably turn things round with some blatant cheating. Also unsurpisingly Matt Hocking then got to 'play Spencer Marks' for a long stretch, until the inevitable miscommunication on a combination spot (this time a superkick assisted suplex) from the Devine Right pair allowed for Hocking to get the hot-tag into Primus. Primus did the whole cleaning house bit and did look impressive by planting the Bulldozer with the Power Plant for a close two count, that was only just broken up by ADB at the last split second. ADB then caught Primus with a jawbreaker, before taking the powerhouse off his feet with an STO. The dreadlocked half Samoan youngster then headed up top and scored with the Superstar Splash only for Matt Hocking to dive in and make the save. From there things just completely broke down, with Michael Bull losing control of the match, especially as he also seemed to have a wondering eye towards what Lisa Bowen was up to. That allowed for ADB to sneakily grab his infamous 'Green Box' and smash it over the heads of both Primus and Hocking before discarding the evidence as Bull finally got his mind back on what was happening in the ring and when BBS drilled Matt Hocking into the mat with the Atomic Driller the result was somewhat academic. The LEA trio took the fight to the heel trio in the early going, resulting in a cliched but actually quite cool triple dive to the floor spot. That put the LEA trio in control who then managed to isolate the People's champion Speed Machine in their corner but Speed got the knees up when Capitao went for the Fall From Rio (Swanton Bomb) before he took down Angel/Fire Fly with an Enziguri/DDT combo. That brought in Umaga, and even though Fire Fly initially held his own against the former 'big two star' almost stealing victory with a La Magistral Cradle, the Samaon took full control with a suspect inverted Atomic Drop. The diminutive Fire Fly (by far the smallest man in the match) then got to generate plenty of sympathy heat...as the heel trio worked him over much to the frustration of his LEA team mates. Never mind that Java had a huge size advantage on Fire Fly, the trio of heels proceeded to add in any cheap shot they could which drew the ire of Angel and Capitao but as is always the case their prostestations only served to make things worse for Fire Fly. However Umaga and co. became over confident and when Umaga went up top for the Suicide Headbutt Fire Fly managed to move out of the way....Fire Fly was then quick enough to take down Speed Machine with a head-scissors take down that sent the People's champion out of the ring, before slumping to his feet and slowly making his way across to the corner but Umaga got the tag into Java who clubbed Fire-Fly from behind and then lifted the tiny luchador up for a power-bomb attempt but Fire Fly managed to flip out of it and nail the Indonesian Beast with a perfect drop-kick to get the hot-tag into Angel De Mexico....who dove in off the top-rope taking down Java with head-scissors that he immediately transtioned into the Mexican Death. Java however managed to tough it out, and lifted the LEA leader up before slamming Angel down to the canvas. But the big man had been worn down too much for him to follow up with a cover and instead he lumbered back to his corner to get the tag into Speed Machine, who managed to prevent Angel from making the Tag by grabbing the ankle but before he could really synch in the Deadly Heel Hook, the LEA leader managed to kick him off and get the tag into Capitao Brasil Jr. The patriotic 'Brazilian' kept the People's champion off balance with a series of arm-drags before nailing Speed with a drop-kick that sent the ruthless technician out of the ring. Capitao then looked to follow up with a dive to the outside but was tripped up by Umaga, who then entered ring. Umaga then battered Capitao with a series of strikes before dumping the 'Brazilian' with a German Suplex, and though Capitao managed to kick out Umaga kept the pressure on and hoisted Capitao up onto his shoulders but before the arrogant Samoan could deliver what he had in mind, Capitao countered with a crucifix bomb for a two count, before deciding to tag into Amazing Fire Fly. Fire Fly then took down Umaga with the El Cristo (spinning head-scissors into a crucix pin) only for Umaga to kick out. The Samoan however remained rooted to the mat and Fire-Fly decided to head up top only for Java to send the diminutive high flyer crashing back into the ring with a simple shove. A weary Umaga then got the tag into Speed Machine, who the proceede to stalk his People's Championship rival....Speed then took down Fire Fly with a hammerlock divorce court and then synched in the SPEEDBREAKER 2000 but Fire-Fly toughed it out and somehow managed to force his way over to the ropes. The dimuntive high flier then thought on his feet quickly ducking under a cheap shot from Speed and then running up the turnbuckle to flip over the People's champion and then nail Speed with a drop-kick before getting the tag into Angel De Mexico. Angel then took Speed down with a missile drop-kick but luckily for Speed the momentum took him back into his corner where Java tagged back in. The Indonesian Beast then proceeded to batter the LEA leader, before scoring a near-fall with a simple big boot. Java then lifted Angel up for the Greetings from the Island but Angel managed to fight his way out of the move and rock Java with a drop-kick before climbing up top. Java was back up though and he soon had the Mexican Patriot upon his shoulders, but that proved to be a major error on is part as that was the perfect set up for Angel to spike the Indonesian Beast into the mat with the AZTEC RANA ! Fire Fly and Capitao then intercepted Umaga and Speed from making the save as Dewey Libertine made the academic three count to seal victory for the Lucha Equity Alliance. This match as it turns out was Java's final match in FCW and thus why he ended up taking the fall. His contract came up for renegotiation this month and he his pay demands were way over the very limit, we would have paid to have kept him on. The entrances were quite amusing though with Los Beetoolz coming out first to their frankly applaing cover of Hey Jude but before it gets to the 'Na, na, na, na, na...Hey Jude !' bit it gets cut off by Chic's Good Times as Dance2Win come strutting down the entrance ramp. The match itself saw the disco dancers, who had to be the favourties despite their own wretched record of late dominate most of the match against the Beatles impersonating Spot Monkeys. But to everyone's shock Gringo Starr managed to reverse a Lightin' Rod attempt from Mr Electricity into a quick roll up to score the upset victory and to send Dance2Win to their most humiliating defeat yet. Dance2Wins entrance music was somewhat prophetic but it wasn't them who were enjoying 'Good Times' it was Los Beetoolz who looked surprised and ecstatic at picking up their maiden win in FCW. The finishing sequence saw Double Q set to finish Cougar off with the Q-Ball but the Animal Magic man managed to block the attempt and instead countered into the I Am Cougar Hear Me Roar ! Right now Queen's in that paying his dues role as the plucky but somewhat naive rookie, with him giving the mid-carders and above competitive matches but ultimately failing to pull out the victory due to his inexperience. The Mainstreamer pops back up but then gets taken to school with an exquisite example of chain wrestling from Phoenix that leaves the Mainstream Nation leader frustrated and disorientated. Hernandez goes out for a powder but Phoenix being the experienced veteran that he is simply waits for the Mainstreamer to get back into the ring. When Hernandez does re-enter he still can't get a foothold in the match with Phoenix scoring a near-fall off a sunset flip, before catching the Mainstreamer with a perfectly executed standing drop-kick that once again see's Hernandez tumbling out of the ring. Phoenix then decides to go for his trademark plancha but puts the brakes on as soon as he see's Hernandez move out of position. Phoenix then decides to climbed to the top and looked set to wipe out Hernandez with a flying splash, but at the same time Hernandez lackey Joseph suddenly appeared that was enough to take away the distraction of Michael Bull and allow for Hernandez to throw a steel-chair at Phoenix, causing the popular masked man to end up slumped on the top turnbuckle. Hernandez then climbed back into the ring and sent Phoenix crashing back in with a belly to back suplex for a two count. Before stomping away on the former two time Undisputed champion, gleefully soaking in the hatred of the crowd with every shot. It was clear that the Mainstream Nation was begining to target a neck in particular, to weaken Phoenix for the Love Me Now ! , especially after getting two counts off a Swinging Neckbreaker and a Dragon Suplex. Hernandez stalked Phoenix as he looked to synch in the Love Me Now ! but the masked man managed to block a DDT attempt and suddenly stunned the Mainstreamer with an Enziguri before drilling Hernandez with a Brainbuster but after that Phoenix was simply too worn down from the punishment he had been on the receiving end of from Hernandez since losing control of the match and thus unable to follow up with a cover. Hernandez still looked the fresher as both staggered back up to their feet and lined up a super-kick on Phoenix, but the masked man managed to side-step out of the way and take Hernandez off his feet with a Dragon Screw, then as Hernandez hobbled back up to his feet he was met with a roundhouse kick that sent him sprawling into the turnbuckle...Phoenix then followed in with a running drop-kick...before spinning a dazed Hernandez round to dump the Mainstreamer on his head with an Elemental Supex...... One...... Two..... Thr..... Hernandez managed to kick out but remained planted to the canvas, and Phoenix saw an opportunity to got for the Phoenix Firebird Splash. Phoenix managed to launch himself off the rope but Hernandez managed to roll out of the way before Phoenix could stick the ever impressive high flying finisher on the Mainstreamer but the masked man managed to right himself onto this feet and as the Mainstream Nation leader turned round he was met with a kick to the mid-section and then planted firmly onto the mat with the FLAMING DRIVER ! One.... Two...... Thr....... To his credit the Mainstream Nation leader got a shoulder up just in time, even the every fan to a man though it should have been three. Phoenix then tries to lift Hernandez up, but the Mainstreamer is like a dead weight, so he goes for a quick cover.... One.... Two..... Thr..... Hernandez manages to kick out just in time yet again. Phoenix then paces around for a bit, pondering over what his next move should be and he finally decides on scaling the turnbuckles once again to try and nail the Phoenix Firebird Splash for a second time. But he took a little bit too much time pondering his next move and Hernandez stumbles back up to his feet and rather conveniently into the ring-ropes causing Phoenix to lose his balance. With Phoenix crotched on the top, Hernandez scales the turnbuckles himself and attempts to bring Phoenix crashing back into the ring with a top-rope DDT but Phoenix manages to shove him off and then dives off but the Mainstreamer meets him with a SUPERKICK causing Phoenix to drop like a stone out of mid-air. As they stagger back to their feet it's the Mainstream Nation leader who takes instant control, spiking the Tag Team Champion into the mat with a DDT before locking on the LOVE ME NOW !! Hernandez has his deadly Guillotine Choke submission locked in tight.... Phoenix tries to do his best to try and struggle free of the hold...... But Hernandez refuses to let losen his grip and the popular masked man begins to fade..... Michael Bull checks once....... No response from Phoenix..... Bull checks again...... Still no response....... It's make or break for Phoenix now..... Phoenix has nothing left, Michael Bull rings for the bell. Bull then tries to get Hernandez to release the hold but the Mainstream Nation keeps it locked on, until some re-inforcements (Jobbers like Los Beetoolz, Honeyman in regular clothing acting as ringside personnel) help to get Hernandez off. The Mainstream Nation leader has a noticeablely creepy smirk on his face, looking wholly satisfied that he made Phoenix choke out to the Love Me Now ! once again. Excellent match between these two once again. If only every wrestler as talented as Phoenix had his attitude, because he has done a great job of helping Mainstream Hernandez get over as a main event calibre threat during his feud with the Mainstream Nation leader since the turn of the year. Result: Mainstream Hernandez defeated Ultimate Phoenix in 18:35 by submission. Rating: B Hernandez is not done with gracing the fans with his prescence though and has managed to comandeer a microphone as he stands on the entrance ramp...... It soon becomes apparent that he is, as both Daniels and R!ot both aim their shots towards the champion. Power basically becomes a punch bag for the first few minutes, as the fans rain down a chorus of boos upon Daniels and R!ot, The un-easy alliance then work together to whip Power into the ropes but Power breaks through a double shoulder barge and then takes both of his opponents down with a double clotheline. Power then takes charging Daniels and R!ot over with consecutive back body drops...before sending Daniels out of the ring with another clothesline and then catching R!ot with a roaring elbow before dumping the de-facto Devine Right leader onto the canvas with a powerslam. Power then looked set to set up for a vertical suplex on R!ot but Daniels rolled back into the ring and clubbed the champion from behind, before combining with R!ot to plant Power back onto the mat with clothesline/chop block combination. R!ot and Daniels then continued to work together, taking Power over with a double team vertical suplex, before Daniels climbed to the second rope to deliver a diving knee drop. R!ot then headed up top as Daniels propped a weary Power up, before diving off to deliver a flying double axe handle but Power managed to move out of the way and R!ot connected with Daniels instead. R!ot however recovered quickly from his misake and levelled a worn down Power with a clothesline, before dragging the champion back to his feet in position for the 'Charles Peterson' but a clearly incensed Dean Daniels then clubbed R!ot from behind...before the pair engaged in a shoving match with one another. All that did was allow for Power to rise back to his feet and send his two opponents out of the ring with a double clothesline. Daniels and R!ot then paced around for a bit as Power stood tall in the ring. Daniels then got up on the apron only for the Patrotic champion to knock him off. R!ot then climbed up onto the apron this time armed with a steel chair, which drew the attention of Dewey Libertine, however with Libertine insisting that R!ot discards of the foreign object.....Daniels had sneaked back into the ring and then low blowed Power from behind before quickly rolling the champion up. One..... Two..... R!ot dove back in to pull Daniels off and the un-easy alliance between Daniels and R!ot began to show yet more strain as they got in each others faces once again.....but this time they were aware of Power getting back to his feet, catching the patrioic champion with stereo elbow strikes and then planting Power onto the mat with a double team Uranage slam. Daniels then tries to steal in another pin attempt but R!ot determined to win the title himself pulls Daniels off Power yet again...before dumping the FREEDOM-5 leader with the 'CHARLES PETERSON !'......... But before R!ot can go for the cover Power gets back up to his feet and levels R!ot with a roaring elbow, however R!ot has the atomic drop well scouted and manages to block before levelling Power with a SUB POP BOP !...... Power stays on his feet for a bit but then crumbles to the mat...... One...... Two..... Thr....... Daniels makes the save at the last split second. Once again R!ot and Daniels get into another shoving match....Daniels blocks a Charles Peterson attempt and then counters into an overhead belly to belly suplex that sends R!ot sprawling into the corner....the FREEDOM-5 leader then drills R!ot with a running knee drive into the corner....leaving the de-facto Devine Right leader slumped to the mat. Power starts getting back to his feet but Daniels who now seems to be in the most control drills the re-born Patriot with a roaring elbow, stopping Power in his tracks. Daniels then traps the arms and goes for the knee strikes but a determined Power manages to force the rope-break. Daniels then tries to get in a cheap shot but Power manages to block and then drills Daniels with a roaring elbow, the atomic drop follows...then the spinebuster..... R!ot however is back to his feet and feel the full impact of a SAN JUAN RUSH from the champion.... Daniels is now getting up from the spinebuster....another SAN JUAN RUSH from Power !! One....... Two....... Three !!!! Puerto Rican Power manages to overcome the odds stacked against him to emerge victorious once again. This was pretty basic brawl that was for the most part a handicap match until Daniels and R!ot's own indiviual desire to become champion came into play but the crowd were really hot for this match, consistently rallying behind their re-born patriotic hero. They had a tough job in following the Hernandez-Phoenix match but they played to their strengths and rose to the challenge. May in Review The fact that Peligro A Continuacion was well received, came us something of a relief as we needed to bounce back from the disappointment of MCNM IV. In terms of he finances, we gained back about $17,000 this month. Ideally we'd want to be making more but unfortunately the economy has been on the slide and extra income like merchandise sales aren't as good as they could be. Despite this we will be putting on an En Viaje show next month in the Tri-State area in addition to our regular show in Puerto Rico. No one was brought in this month but Phoenix Negra, Capitao Brasil Jr, Amo Del Gato, Spirit, Lisa Bowen and commentator Cueball Lynch all signed new deals with us. Java has also wrestled his last match with us (he offically leaves next month) after contract negotiations broke down with the Indonesian powerhouse. Basically it came down to money and Java's valuation of himself is too far removed from what we are prepared to pay to keep him on the roster. ___________________________________________________________ Rival Promotion Watch CZCW put on a strong show this month with Welcome To The Coastal Zone 2013 (B).It saw Ernest Youngman succesfully defend the Coastal Zone Championship in a three way with Ultimate Phoenix and Andre Jones, in what was the strongest match of his reign (B+), one that turned out to be his final defence following the departure of Youngman to SWF. The main event was well supported by a very solid under-card capped off by a very good semi main event that saw Erik Strong go over Donnie J (B-) MAW's Goin' Crazy was an average affair (C) capped off by a disappointing main event that saw Paul Huntingdon defeat Johnny Martin for the Mid Atlantic Championship, this despite the fact that both were on their way out of the company. It may well have been judged as a stronger event had the excellent semi main event that saw Jay Chord defeat Avalance (B) been the main event instead. NYCW continue to flounder in mediocrity, with their Genesis show being another uninspiring effort (C-).Andre Jones some how managed to retain the Empire Title yet again, this time against Snow Fox (C). PSW's Powerslave event saw them back to their old form, as in not that great at all (D+). The main event saw the ageing JD Morgan defeat the equalling ageing but departing Johnny Martin for the PSW Championship (C-). RIPW's Forsaken event was an average effort (C-) that saw Avalanche succesfully retain the RIPW Championship against Johnny Martin in the main event (C). May News and Notes From Around The Wrestling World General News Despite losing endless top talents, the SWF have managed to once again rise back to Global Size once again. Quite simply re concentrating on their home market and riding on the back of the one true superstar do have yet in Steve Frehley has enabled them to once again become recognized as a Global sized promotion. Perhaps the exodus of big name talent will see the SWF create new stars to compete with TCW. Though the main thing is that to stabalize themselves the SWF should concentrate on their home market and forget about the world tours. Because even if they fall to National size they would still be able to keep hold of the core part of their roster. Going the other way is 5SSW, the all women's promotion became the fifth promotion sized at National or higher at the beginning of the year but despite putting on some solid shows they have found it difficult to compete with the Big Four of Japan (WLW, BHOTWG, GCG, PGHW) and that Joshi puroresu is still a niche market compared to their all male counterparts. Worker Signings AAA add former BSC 'talent' Britney Hollywood to their roster. Exodus 2010 add young lion Haranobu Koyabyashi and veteran journeyman Mitsunari Fugunaga to their roster. Willie York joins INSPIRE on a PPA deal, whilst Masked Patriot, Crusher Von Steinberg, Josh Jones and Xavier Reckless will all take part in their summer tour. MAW bring in Ekuma The Hawaiian Strong Man. Ivan Ivanoff returns to compete in MOSC, seven years after he last made an appearance in the promotion. Former TCW talent Mario Heroic, signs on with NOTBPW. Heroic had been without a promotion for almost half a year, since he failed to agree a new contract with TCW during last autumn and he looks to get his career back on track with the Canadian giants. PSW bring in former SWFer Knuckles and Kashmir Singh who will work under his Mr Electricity gimmick. American Machine and Riley McManus join RIPW on SWF funded developmental contracts. SAISHO bring in veteran referee Akikzau Miyagi. Reaper Dante returns to SOTBPW, 2 and a 1/2 years after he last made an appearance for the promotion. The SWF's rise to global size has seen them raid the indies, as they look to boost their roster numbers. The most notable signing is that of former TCW star Sammy Bach and one has to wonder if those in TCW who will feel unhappy about their current position in that promotion may also be willing to jump ship, also being picked up is Bach's former tag partner Teddy Powell, whilst Samuel Pratt will once again don the Calamari Kid mask !. There are some veteran pick up's with Johnny Martin, Henry Lee , Donnie J, Charlie Thatcher Ronnie V.Pain and Paul Steadyfast all receiving what may be their final chance at a run with an internationally recognized promotion. The more signifcant pick ups could be the additions of rising stars Trent Shaffer and Ernest Youngman and Big Smack Scott returns to the SWF ! Bart Biggz signs on for USPW on a PPA deal, though with SWF rising back to Global size his contract with USPW many only be a temporar thing and the Florida based promotion also add youngster Quentin Queen to their roster. Worker Extensions 21CW extend the contracts of Hugh De Aske, Leo Price, Arthur.T.Turtle and valet Phoebe Plumridge. NYCW extend the contracts of Billy Russell, Marc Speed, Rick Sanders and manager Herb Stately. OLLIE were another promotion busy with securing much of their roster to new contracts, with a dozen workers signing new contracts, key amongst those being El Leon. PGHW tie down two of their key workers to new written contracts with Yoshimi Mushasibo and Nobuatso Tatsuko both staying on with the promotion where they have spent much of their careers. Second string colour commentator Hyobe Oshin is also handed a new written deal and freelancer Burning Takash!ta extends his PPA deal. PSW extend the contracts of Hollywood Brett Starr, JD Morgan, Matt Sparrow and valet Nicole Kiss. RIPW extend the PPA deals of Super Sonic and announcer Rob 'don't forget the L' Miskovsky. ROF extend the contracts of Kevin Jones, Harley Neill, Jay B and road agent Donny Damage. SAISHO extend the PPA deals of Kenichi Komigata and Josh Jones. SOTBPW extend the contracts of Marcos Flores and announcer Mateo Hidalgo. With SWF back to Global size they went to work tying down several talents to full time contracts with Colussus (aka Hells Bouncer), Frederique Antonio Garcia, Greg Wright, Paul Huntingdon, Eric Eisen, Eisen's announcer brother Jerry and valet Dawn The Cheerleader all signing exlusive written contracts. Shady K and road agent Black Hat Bailey both stick with SWF on a PPA basis. TCW secure Rich Money, Acid and referee Ray Johnson to new written contracts. UEW extend the contracts of Louis Figo Manico, Christopher Lister, Roberto Milano, commentator Lawrence Young, valet Vita and road agent Nathaniel Pross. USPW extend the contracts of Casey Valentine, valet Seduction and authority figure Commisioner Doom. Yatsuhiro Atsushi and Spyder Yakuta both sign new written deals with WLW, whilst Dean Daniels and Eisaku Hoshino will still compete for the promotion on a PPA basis. XWA extend the contracts of a dozen workers included amongst those are Joey Poison, Bradford Peverall and Damian Carvill. Worker Releases/Departures Dharma Gregg departs from AAA after she fails to come to agreement over a new contract. CGC lose Trent Shaffer, after the signs on exclusively with the resurgent SWF. CZCW are hit by the departure of Ernest Youngman to the SWF who was Coastal Zone champion at the time of his leaving. Zeus Maxillion also departs after failing to coming to terms over a new deal and Matt Hocking's contract is not renewed. GCG decide against renewing the contract of veteran Kimitada Yanagita. MAW are perhaps the promotion effected the most by SWF's talent raids on the independents, after losing Paul Huntingdon, Samuel 'Cannonball Kid' Pratt, Henry Lee and most significantly Johnny Martin to the resurgent Sports Entertainment giants. Meanwhile Knuckles sees his contract un-renewed by MAW. NYCW are also hit with the departure of Samuel 'Cannoball Kid' Pratt after his return to the SWF. PSW were left hurting from the departures of Johnny Martin, Trent Shaffer, Paul Huntingdon and Henry Lee to the SWF. Meanwhile Citizen and Brendon Idol fail to come to agreement over new contracts. Ernest Youngman, Trent Shaffer, Johnny Martin and Henry Lee also finish up their commitments with RIPW after signing full time contracts with SWF. Referee Yasuyuki Terakado leaves SAISHO. The Cannonball Kid also finishes up with SOTBPW after his return to the SWF. James Justice (aka Liberty) is one wrestler though who departed from SWF after he failed to come to agreement over a new contract. USPW are hit with the departures of Ernest Youngman, Colussus and Big Smack Scott (though that might not be such a bad thing) to the SWF. XWA see Paul Steadyfast, after the former TCW veteran was a surprise signing for SWF. Injuries BHOTWG's Kinnojo Horri suffered a huge blow when he shattered his knee in a match with Eisaku Hoshino. It's an injury that will keep him out of action for over a year. SWF's Honest Frank was equally unlucky, suffering a Shattered Elbow and he too will be out of action for over a year. Lenny Brown of CZCW and RIPW suffered a ruptured spleen and will be on the shelf for up to 10 weeks. Nevada Nuclear of SWF and USPW is currently suffering with a Cracked Tail Bone. PGHW's Bryan Vessey is working through Chronic Lower Back Pain Worker Retirements Ryu Kajahara the former owner of the defunct WEXVV promotion has finally called time on his in-ring career. Alongside long term rival Saoji Onomura, Kajahara was one of the figureheads of the infamous 'garbage' promotion WEXXV winning their Warriors Heart Title on four occasions. When WEXVV folded due to growning financial difficulties, Kajahara signed on with rapidly rising WLW. His first few years with the promotion saw him pushed as a respected veteran, something that saw him to three reigns with the Universal Title during 2010/2011. For the last two years he has mostly been a fixture in the hardcore division (where he is a natural fit given his history with WEXVV) winning the Street Fighting Title on Six occasions, his final reign with the belt seeing him retire as the champion. Kajahara was never seen as a great in-ring talent and he gained fame in the ring when he was well into his forties and past his physical peak. However he came popular and well respected for his willingness to do anything (and that means take some of the sickest bumps imaginable) to get over, what also helped is that he also had charisma to burn. Lets Call It Love Former FCW interviewer Sara Silver admitted on a radio show that she and Lead Belly are an item. Apparently Silver and the rugged Lead Belly (whose real name is Daniel Elderberry) became close whilst working alongside one another in XWA. Title Changes Raku Makuda regained the 5SSW World Title from Alicia Strong to become a four time champion and The Nature Girls of June Butler and Chitose Ariwara became Tag Team Champions for the fourth time. Raven Nightfall ended Good Lookin' Bunny's dominance of BSC to win the Queen of the Ring title. Ninja Shunji lost the Openweight Title in BHOTWG to Mystic Dragon but quickly regained the belt to begin his fifth reign with the title. Following the departure of Ernest Youngman the Coastal Zone Championship was left vacant. Merle O'Curle sent shockwaves throughout Japan when he upset Jack Marlowe for the GCG World Heavyweight Championship and Takayuki 2000 won the Openweight Title for a third time. Hugh De Aske ended the near year long reign of Danny Patterson to become the UK Champion in MOSC. Magnifico ended the 13 month long reign of Electrico to win the MPWF Herencia de Mundo title for sixth time. Paul Huntingdon defeated Johnny Martin for the Mid Atlantic Championship but then vacated the belt when he said he signed on full time with the SWF. The Tag Titles also find themselves vacant (again !) after one half of the champions Henry Lee also signed with the SWF. The veteran duo of R.K Hayes and Dark Angel re-united to end the reign of Dean McWade and Ricky DeColt to win the NOTBPW Tag Team Titles for a second time. All change in PSW as JD Morgan wins the PSW Championship for the first time and California Love Machine defeats Casey Valentine for the vacant PSW National title. Li Bingci defeated Akinori Kwakami to become the Historical Japan champion in PGHW for a third time. Tommy Cornell defeated former associate John Anderson to win the TCW World Heavweight Championship for a fifth time, what is suprising is that is is Cornell's first reign with the belt since 2008 and American Buffalo defeated Ricky Dale Johnson to win the International Title for a third time. Robbie Retro and Jumbo Jackson who had been feuding over the Televison title, joined forces to win the Tag Team Titles in USPW. The Great Hisato ended the reign of Barei Yasujiro to become the WLW Universal Champion for a third time, that came after Hisato lost the Show Stealer title to Adam Matravers in a three way that also featured Koji Kojima. Burning Takash!ta defeated the Incredible KOYAMA for the vacant Street Fighting Title after Ryu Kajahara's retirement but quickly lost the title to UK Dragon in his first defence. KOYAMA lost and then regained the Tap Out title from Sofu Ozawa.
Ryu Kajahara the former owner of the defunct WEXVV promotion has finally called time on his in-ring career.
Yes! Go Kajahara.. That many title reigns, wow. I'm so proud of him and love to see him doing so well. :o
Li Bingci defeated Akinori Kwakami to become the Historical Japan champion in PSW for a third time.
:o

Delorean Driver.com Your Top Wrestling News Site Notes From A Small Island: FCW return to action on Tuesday 11th June for an En Viaje show at the Weston Gymnasium in Philadelphia. The full card has yet to be confirmed but what we do know is that the fans will be treated to two title matches. Puerto Rican Power will put the Undisputed Championship on the line against the Mainstream Nation's Soul Krusher. Whoever emerges victorious from the match as the champion will defend the title against Mainstream Hernandez in Puerto Rico at the end of the month. Should Krusher become the new champion, one has to wonder if he would just relinquish the twin belts to the Mainstream Nation leader. The match was originally going to be a non title match but on hearing of this arrangement, Power insisted it got changed to a title match as he is a fighting champion who does not back down from any challenge. The Brothers Phoenix will also make their first defence of the Tag Team Titles, with their first challengers coming in the form of the Devine Right pair of Bulldozer Brandon Smith & Arthur Dexter Bradley who go into the match up on a back of a victory over 'HockPrime' and even though many won't fancy their chances to unseat the champions in their first defence, the Devine Right pair will be confident that they can cause the upset. Completely the line up of confirmed matches there is a potentially mouth watering first time encouter between Mainstream Hernandez and Amazing Fire Fly. Despite losing the Tag Team Titles to the Brothers Phoenix, Hernandez may just be the hottest ticket in FCW right now, the leader of the Mainstream Nation may be universally hated but recent singles victories (not the plural) over former two time Undisputed Champion has seen him become a legitimate main event threat. Fire Fly will be the clear under-dog in the match but the LEA member has been one of the most exciting performers on the FCW undercard since joining last year, consistently wowing the crowds with his lightning fast paced blend of lucha libre.

O.O.C Note: As before with when I have done an En Viaje (On Tour) show it will be presented in a shorter 'no frills' format. No predictons, as the card will be pretty predictable and if there are any surprises it wont be in the match results. Just thought I would post up a brief preview to give some background as to why Krusher plus BBS & ADB will be challenging for the title on the next show. Show should be up tomorrow morning and I'll aim to get the preview up for the month's main show in Puerto Rico in the evening.
Dance2Win lost to Los Beetoolz!? You're never giving Mr. Electricity a push, are you :D
You never know, he might have bottomed out here and his meteoric rise to the top of FCW begins here, then again perhaps not ;) I am considering bringing in a lower card belt (something you've brought up on several occasions) though given the fact that Hardcore is low in FCW, it seems more likely to be a youngsters belt which unfortunately for a certain Mr Singh would still rule him out of contention for a belt. I'm also unlikely to introduce the any new belt until after Anniversario (in September). Mr Electricity probably has missed the boat, he's not a bad worker and I feel he's worth keeping around but there's just others on the roster I feel are more deserving of a push. I think we also know who came out better off after the Totally Einstein Split.
