Good show, TK. I figured for some reason that the Phoenix Boys would retain. Good match, though. And loved the main event. I wanna see Mainstream win those twin belts at some point, but I figured it wouldn't be yet.
There's a variety of reasons as to why the title switch happened here One would be the fact that I've got to meet some title run promises in people's contracts, the other would be the fact that even though I wanted to raise the stock of the Tag Team Titles in the eyes of the fans, the fact is both Ultimate Phoenix and Negra are above those belts. I could have had them drop the belts at the last show, but neither The Sons nor Animal Magic were at the level of popularity, where I felt comfortable putting them over the Phoenii. If the Sons were a little more popular they probably would have won the belts at Anniversario, Animal Magic to be honest were just the third wheel heels in that match, as though I tweaked it a Medium face/heel divide; face vs heel matches still seem to deliver a little better than face vs face.

Figured that was intentional - raising the prestige of the tag division and the belts by having a too-good team involved. Kinda like the WWE unified tag belts right now. It does give more chance to see the Phoenix boys in solo action, but I do hope they keep tagging together - they've become one of my favorite FCW teams for some reason.

If it was the Mainstreamer Himself (which TK you might want to steal for his character) then Ultimo and Negra would be needed to be available to challenger Him(self.) If it was PRP then BBS and Deano (non machino) would be there to step up as credible contenders. Instead I went with a slight variation on that, which is, the Mainstreamer Himself will snag the belt in his next challenge and therefore the Brothers Pheonii need to be available to challenge for the belts. Instead of it being a 1-2 on the same care, TK gave the carrot first... the tag title switch.

October in Review We lost about $20,000 this month by putting on two shows, one on the mainland in Florida but as I said last month I was prepared to be a little down on the year, if it meant maintaining our popularity in places other than a home of Puerto Rico. We aren't going to hit cult anytime soon, so not being prepared financially probably wont be an issue. The frustrating thing is that we seemed to have plateaud right now in Puerto Rico and ideally I would like us to concentrate on building our fanbase on the mainland but the fact remains is that the shows in Puerto Rico are what bring in the money to keep FCW afloat as a promotion. I am aware that Senor Lopez harbours ambitions to eventually see FCW grow beyond being a Regional indy but perhaps realistically we do have to follow the CZCW model and something of a secret amongst indy wrestling fans. It's perhaps better to be a little unambitious and stay alive like CZCW has done than out-grow yourself and eventually fall by the wayside as was the case with 4C up in Canada. Thing is as much as the boss wants to see FCW grow, I too am also a little frustrated that we are struggling to grow outside of our home region. I believe in the product we have, I belive in the locker-room but the fact remains that we don't quite have the resources (financially speaking) to really push on. On a positive note, two of our most important roster members, perennial main eventer Ultimate Phoenix and current People's champion 'Speed Machine' Marc Speed re-signed with us. ____________________________________________________________ Rival Promotion Watch CZCW's Hardcore Halloween event had the potential to be one of their best events yet but that bizarre problem of booking what should have been a middle of the card match in the main event reared up again. Ultimate Phoenix retained the Coastal Zone Championship in an incredible Ladder Match against Insane Machine and Matt Sparrow (B+) in what should have been the main event and even though the actual main event Erik Strong & Citizen X going over Lenny Brown and Andre Jones in a Street Fight (C) was a solid effort it was always going to struggle the excellent match that went before. MAW's Where it All Begins again was a good effort (C+) with a strong final three matches Warlord Power over James Hernandez (C+), Jay Chord defeating Avalanche (B-) and JD Morgan retaining the Mid Atlantic Championship against Shady K in the main event (B-). Unfortunately the rest of the card prior to those matches was a bit on the weak side. NYCW seem to have found a level of consistency of late and that's being consistenly average, with their Last Gasp event (C) continuing a string of very average shows. As long as they continue to pursue with Andre Jones as Empire champion that will continue, as he made yet another relatively unmemorable title defence, this time against Erik Strong (C). PSW's Times of Trouble Event saw them improve on last months effort and at least get back to the slightly more promising (by their admittedly low standards) events they had been putting on prior to last months let-down. JD Morgan once again made a succesful defence of one of the two East Coast Indy titles he currently holds, against a member of Death Row, this time Knuckles (C-) RIPW are in all honestly the weakest of all the US independents right now, even PSW seem to be putting on shows of a generally higher standard, with their Iron event earning a D+. The Avalanche- Jim Force Title match that main evented the show, was pretty entertaining for what it is was (C) but the rest of the card before it was met with total apathy from the crowd. USPW extend the contracts of Robbie Retro, commentator Shane Sneer and referee Robbie Sanchez. Lower card veteran Takuro Matsumoto secures a new written deal with WLW. Worker Releases/Departures Nathan Black fails to come to agreement with CGC over a new contract. Geena The Warrior Princess decides to depart from EWA. Junior Youth leaves SOTBPW after he is unable to agree terms on a new contract. SWF were dealt a further blow when rising star Kirk Jameson became the latest to jump ship to TCW. Jameson also leaves behind USPW, after signing on exclusively for TCW. Guide caused a bit of a shock when he turned down a new contract with TCW, to pursue working in Japan with PGHW becoming his chosen destination. Crusher Von Steinberg fails to agree an extension to his contract wit UEW. Primus Allen decides against renewing his contract with USPW, where he was used purely as a jobber in his time with the Florida based promotion. Injuries BHOTWG suffered a huge blow when Junior Division mainstay Elemental III sustained a shattered knee in a Six Man Tag match as part of their Night of the Burning Hammer event. It is though that he will be out of action for over a year and even then there are those who are doubting whether or not he can come back as good as he was. Elsewhere it's the walking wounded out in Japan with GCG star Matthew Gauge working through Chronic Upper Back Pain and the WLW trio of KC Glenn (Churchillian Neck-Nerve Damage), William Hayes (Strained Rotator Cuff) and Golden Scorpion (Lower Back Pain) all not at a 100 per cent physically at the moment. Worker Retirements 42 year old Joel Bryant brought to an end a distinguished career inside of the squared circle . Though he never quite reached the level of a bona-fide main eventer, he was a well respected and decorated member of the TCW roster. Perhaps seen as more of a Tag Team Wrestler Bryant first made an impact alongside long term Tag Partner Robert Oxford in Japan with GCG where they won their Tag Team Titles. In March of 1998 they moved across to the then HCG where later in the year they also captured the Tag Titles there, and though the Tag Team Specialists would only capture the titles one other time in 2002, they would be seen as perennial contenders and lynchpins of the Tag Division. Other Robert Oxford's retirement in early 2008 Bryant found further success in the Tag ranks alongside Clark Alexander but two reigns with the TCW International Title and a sole reign with the (now retired) TCW Hardcore Title showed that Bryant was also a reasonably succesful singles performer. However it may not be what he did in the ring that Bryant has made the most impact during his tenure with TCW. In 2006 he became the somewhat surpising choice to become their new head booker, but since then the promotion has gone from strength to strength and have surpassed rivals SWF as not just the biggest promotion in America but arguably the World. Perhaps it is Bryant's unselfish attitude and the fact that he didn't push himself as the biggest star in TCW since he took over their head booker position that has become a factor in their meteoric rise. Meanwhile British veteran Michael 'Razor Valentine' Moodie also hung his wrestling boots at the Age of 42. Known for his Martial Arts influenced style Valentine/Moodie most notably worked for 21CW, ROF and UEW during a career that saw him got plenty of regular work but somewhat surprisingly didn't bring him any recognition in terms of titles. Title Changes Daniel Black Francis regained the 21CW United Kingdom Title from Mister King to become a five time champion. Charlize Angelle teamed with Brooke Tyler to defeat Geena and Sprite for the vacant BSC Girl Power Tag Team Titles, following the departure of Katherine Goodlooks from the promotioN. Yasunobu Masuno defeated Miyamae to become the Burning World Champion for a second time and Arthur Dexter Bradley defeated Elemental III to capture the Burning Junior Championship for the first time, whilst Everest defeated Yoshii Shiomi for the BHOTWG Television Title. Fox Mask teamed with Mick Muscles to defeat Atlas and Masked Patriot for the vacant (yeah again !) CZCW Tag Team Titles. Matthew Keith defeated Merle O'Curle to become the GCG World Champion for a fourth time. Nigel Svensson caused something of a shock when he upset Tasuku Iesada for INSPIRE's King of Fighters title. Jaime Quine defeated Etsuko Ariyoshi to become a five time NOTBPW Women's Champion. Apprentica Jr's half year long reign as the Campeon de Mexico in OLLIE was brought to and end by Super Apprentica. More vacant Tag Titles being claimed (before they no doubt become vacant again) as Matt Sparrow teamed with Ekuma to defeat California Love Machine and Brendon Idol for the RIPW Tag Titles. Eric Eisen defeated Steve Frehley to become the SWF World Heavyweight Champion for the first time. The fact that Eisen had won the title has not gone down well with wrestling fans, who see it as an extreme case of self preservation especially considering the circumstances of him becoming the new head booker the previous month. Perhaps more worringly for SWF fans is that Eisen's title win points to the fact that the last remaining 'superstar' on their roster Steve Frehley may be the latest to jump ship. Also in SWF Jack Giedroyc became a two time North American Champion and Stevie Gumble defeated Citizen X for the Shooting Star Belt. Whippy the Clown won the All Action Title in TCW for the first time but then lost it in his first defence to Fumihiro Ota, who begins a record setting tenth reign with the belt. James 'Mainstream' Hernandez ended the 8 month reign of Robbie Retro to become the USPW Television champion for the first time. KC Glenn defeated The Great Hisato to capture the WLW Universal Title for the first time, Bussho Makiguchi defeated Rhino Umaga for the Street Fighting Title and Spyder Yakuta ended the near half year long Tap Out Title reign of The Incredible Koyama but lost the belt in only his second defence to Sotatsu Sarumara. The Silencer defeated James Prudence for the vacant XWA All American Title, following the departure of previous champion Joey Poison.

I'm gutted that MAW have Edd Stone in your game. One worker I'd love to have, but it looks like he's too big for us. As for growing FCW, I think you're hamstrung by PR's lack of importance - 70% or something, I think? You're only going to get so far over, and have so much spillover - but on the other hand, you must be pretty close to moving up to the bigger venues for your shows? Maybe you need to hit Cult first, though... Basically, I think PR is the problem. You only need to hit the South East every third month to maintain/grow popularity there, of course, but unless you have a friendly relationship with USPW (and MAW? They must have spillover there by now) then I'd guess you're taking a beating in the Regional Battles. It's a toughie - but ultimately, I suspect that FCW has the least potential for growth of any company outside Australia. Have you considered running two shows a month in PR? I've found that to be helpful at bringing in the cash, if you can balance the roster requirements and not overload each show.

Then again compared to the real world, this does seem quite realistic...who outside of Puerto Rico really gives two hoots about the two real life promotions in PR IWA and WWC ? I think of the main problems is my expectations to deliver every show. In my opinion I acquired a good level indy roster and was putting on good level shows too soon. What that means is that I struggle to accept putting on mediocre shows, which of course means I'm putting on my best (i.e most expensive) talent on every show, actually the problem may be that I'm getting ALL the talent on the show....as not only do I want to keep up standards, I want the undercard guys to get work. Looking back I should have rode on Power's popularity for a few years and surround him with a cheaper, if not so good roster. Of course hindsights a great thing.

Delorean Driver.com Your Top Wrestling News Site Notes From A Small Island: FCW will present their Revolucion show on Monday 18th November (yes you did read that right, a Monday instead of the usual Tuesday) at the Ricardo Montenez Ballroom in San Juan. The main event will see the Affliction Trinity's Nicky R!ot challenge Puerto Rican Power for the Undisputed Championship, R!ot will be hoping to join Dean Daniels and Bulldozer Brandon Smith in holding FCW Gold and perhaps will be as a good a time as any to challenge Puerto Rican Power for the twin belts, with the patriotic fan favourite coming through a physically and emotionally demanding Dog Collar match with Mainstream Hernandez last month. Meanwhile Daniels and BBS will put the Tag Titles they won from The Brothers Phoenix at FCW 100 on the line against perennial challengers The Sons of Lucha Libre. Can El Mitico Jr and Capitao Brasil Jr finally capture the titles they have coveted for so long and consign the Affliction Trinity duo to a 'transitional' title reign or will Daniels and BBS deliver on the promise of them being the new dominant force in FCW. Talking of dominant, Speed Machine is heading towards a year long reign with the People's Championship. But has he bitten off more than he can chew by accepting the challenge of the LEA's Amazing Fire Fly, against the advice of manager Carl Batch. Fire Fly is buzzing after coming of a big win over the Mainstream Nation monster Soul Krusher and though Fire Fly has come up short before in prising the People's belt away from Speed Machine he will confident of coming out on top. Meanwhile Angel De Mexico takes on Boriken Love Machine Jr in a match that could earn either of the masked men another shot at the People's Championship. It would certainly be interesting were the Lucha Equity Alliance leader to defeat Boriken and follow up his fellow LEA member Fire Fly defeating Speed for the People's title. No! Dance2Win as they are now calling themselves in reference to dismising their all dancing, fun loving past have certainly had a change of attitude and the Batch Enterprises Inc. representatives will be hoping that will lead to them getting on the winning path and becoming a real force in the Tag Division. However the Team FREEDOM pair of Matt Hocking and Primus will be hoping that they can start to deliver on their promise as a tandem and when they face off against each other this month, they'll be hoping to at the very least mainstain their spot above ND2W in the Tag Team rankings. Rounding out the matches officially announced for the show the remaining members of Team FREEDOM Charles Rainier and Jared Johnson will also be in Tag action against Los Beetoolz and Austin Smooth makes his main show debut against Quentin Queen, whilst the Mainstream Nations' Joseph battles Amo Del Gato on the pre-show. FCW officials have confirmed that Mainstream Hernandez, recently dethroned Tag Team champions The Brothers Phoenix and FCW Commissioner Alex Braun will all make an appearance at the show. It is though that Mainstream Hernandez was none too happy over Braun's inteference in last month's main event and is expected to 'challenge' the FCW Commisioner over his actions, as for The Brothers Phoenix..FCW officials say that they will be involved in a match but are keeping quiet as to what that involvement will be. The improving Joseph pulled out the win here, when he reversed a Ninth Life attempt from Del Gato into the Misery Be Shared (Wrist Clutch Fisherman Brainbuster) Result: Joseph defeated Amo Del Gato in 6:31 by pinfall. Rating: C- Katie Cameron then comes over to do her usual pre-show routine and shoots some free merch into the crowd. The Brothers Phoenix then take flight with stereo no hands plancha's wiping out Krusher and Fox Mask in the process, Braun then thinks about going for a dive of his own but hesistates for too long and get's tripped up from behind by Mainstream Nation, who then throws the FCW Commissioner into the guard-rail before putting the boots to Braun. Back inside the ring Ultimate Phoenix is going at it with Fox Mask and nails a leg lariat before dumping the Animal Magic man with an Elemental Suplex. However Mainstream Hernandez comes in to make the save and Soul Krusher takes down Phoenix Negra with a clothesline on the outside, turning the match in the favour of the Mainstream Nation trio. Ultimate Phoenix now found himself isolated in the Mainstream Nation corner. After several minutes of being worn down, Phoenix was then set up for the Death to the Mainstream, but he managed to duck the top-rope bull-dog from Mainstream Hernandez and then spiked Soul Krusher into the mat with a swinging DDT. However Hernandez was able to prevent Phoenix from making the tag knocking both Negra and Braun off the apron. The Mainstreamer then planted Phoenix into the mat with a leg-sweep before tagging in Fox Mask. The Mainstream Nation duo then went for Animal Magic's finisher the Last Hunt but Phoenix had it scouted, causing Mainstream Hernandez and Fox Mask to clash their kicks. Phoenix then hit a double drop-kick and got the tag into Phoenix Negra. Negra took down Hernandez and Fox with a springboard clothesline, kipping back to his feet and knocking Soul Krusher off the apron with a drop-kick into the corner, he then snapped off a head-scissors that took Mainstream Hernandez out of the ring, Fox Mask then went to drill Negra with the Fox Hunter, but Negra was able to block and then plant Fox Mask with a leg hook belly to back suplex. Negra then decided to head up top, but was prevented from going airborn by Mainstream Hernandez, Negra kicked Hernandez off but that gave Fox Mask time to recover and nail Negra with a leaping Enziguri before bringing Negra into the ring with a top-rope hurrucanrana. Negra kicked out of the following pin attempt from Fox but the former three time tag champ remained in control and set up for the Fox Flip Off DDT but Negra managed to block the move and then sent Fox Mask into the corner with a drop-kick..... Negra then scrambled across the ring and got the tag into Alex Braun ! Fox Mask then staggers into a superkick from Braun...... One.... Two.... Thr..... Soul Krusher comes into make the save, Krusher then lifts Braun up for the Dead Man Walking but is prevented from delivering the move by Ultimate Phoenix....soon enough all Six men are back in the ring..... The Mainstream Nation then seem to gain the advantage with some dirty tactics (thumbs to the eyes, suspect low blows). Krusher then looks to lift Phoenix Negra up for the Dead Man Walking, Hernandez looks ready to plant Ultimate Phoenix into the mat with a DDT and Fox Mask looks just about to ready to send Braun hard onto the mat with a Fox Flip off DDT. But all three of their opponents slip out of/block their finishers...Negra nails Krusher with a step up Enziguri, Phoenix doubles over Hernandez with a boot to the mid-section and Braun drills Fox Mask with another Super-kick...before all three then drill the Mainstream Nation trio into the mat with simultaneous Braun Damage's (Brainbusters)..... Braun then makes the cover on Fox Mask One.... Two.... Three !!! Alex Braun picks up the victory in his return to in-ring competiton ! A nice opener and the crowd were genuinely into Braun's suprise return to competing inside the squared circle. Braun's stamina levels aren't what they used to be, so we kept his time inside the ring relatively limited. Los Beetoolz did get in some token offence but there was never going to be any doubt who would come out on top in this match and I was able to get myself back to winning ways when I drilled Lennon McHarrison into the canvas with the C.R Driver. We get some headscissors, some arm drags, a few snapmares and a couple of standing switches until it leads to a stand off...rinse and repeat for the next couple of minutes. However things start to pick up when Angel sends Boriken out to the floor with one of his many headscissor take-downs. Angel then goes for a slingshot crossbody but Boriken moves out of the way...Angel lands on his feet and the Puerto Rican patriot goes for a clothesline but Angel ducks under and the springs off the guard-rail....Boriken catches Angel but the Mexican patriot takes the momentum into a Tornado DDT out on the floor ! Angel then pitched Boriken into the ring and made the cover but Boriken got the shoulder up at the last split second. With Boriken rooted to the mat Angel then headed up top. Boriken then stired back to his feet and Angel launched himself off the top turnbuckle to take Boriken down with the Mexican Death Flying Arm Bar but instead Boriken managed to catch Angel in mid flight and take the LEA leader over with a high angle release belly to belly suplex. Angel then staggered to his feet and stumbled into a clothesline from Boriken, who then delivered a gutbuster followed by a running boot off the ropes for a two count. Boriken then lifted Angel back up to a vertical base and applied a front chancery, but before he could deliver what he had in mind, Angel slipped out and drove Boriken down to the mat with the Acapulco Twist (Corkscrew Neckbreaker). That looked to have the much won for the LEA leader, but to Angel's frustration Boriken managed to just about kick again. Stunned at Boriken kicking out of his finisher the patriotic Mexican paced around for a bit, before lifting Boriken back up to a vertical base before attempting a second Acapulco Twist but this time Boriken had the move scouted, forced a standing switch and dumped Angel with a release German Suplex. Then as they got back to their feet Boriken stunned Angel with the Love Gun (Double Knee Facebreaker) and that proved to be enough for the second generation Puerto Rican star to pick up the victory and to stay in People's Championship contention. A competent midcard match that lacked a bit of heat due to the all face dynamic, though the crowd split was leaning more towards Boriken. Fire Fly then waits for Speed to stagger up to his feet before taking the defending champion down with a head-scissors take down that he immediately transitions into the El Cristo Crucifix Pin.... One.... Two.... Thr..... Speed kicks out and then rolls through, lifting Fire Fly on to his shoulders.....Speed trys for a Death Valley Driver but Fire Fly blocks and trys for a DDT but Speed blocks that and then spikes the LEA man into the canvas with a DDT of his own..... Speed is first back to his feet and goes for the Speed Strike but Fire Fly has it scouted, side steppping the move and then quickly rolling Speed up..... One..... Two..... Speed kicks out and then nails Fire Fly with a stiff fore-arm strike.....Speed then shoots Fire Fly off into the ropes , before meeting Fire Fly with another fore-arm strike, that then sets up a snap suplex ...Fire Fly kicks out but Speed then rolls through into the DEADLY HEEL HOOK But Fire Fly manages to kicks Speed off and then snaps off a head-scissors that takes Speed out to the floor...Fire Fly then comes soaring through the ropes to take Speed out with a tope con hilo. Fire Fly then goes to pitch Speed back into the ring but Carl Batch gets in the way, and that enables Speed to recover and get in a cheap shot on Fire Fly before delivering a Speed Snap (Double Arm DDT out on the floor)..... Speed then waited for Dewey Libertine to simply count Fire Fly out, but the diminutive high flyer managed to dig down and make it back into the ring, however Speed wasn't resting on his laurels and immediately went on the attack as soon as Fire Fly made it back into ring with a basement drop-kick. Fire Fly hobbles back up to his feet and Speed goes for a Dragon Screw, Fire Fly blocks that and then floats over into an Enziguri....with Speed stunned he then goes out onto the apron but as he goes to springboard in Speed stumbles into the ropes causing the LEA man to lose his balance and get crotched on the top-rope. Speed then drills Fire Fly with a basement drop-kick as Fire Fly falls back into the ring.... One..... Two..... Fire Fly kicks out but Speed then turns the LEA man over into the Deadly Heel Hook , this time Speed has it synched in perfectly..... But Fire Fly somehow manages to it into a quick roll up.... One.... Two........ Speed rolls through again into the Deadly Heel Hook but Fire Fly is again able to counter the move kicking Speed off.....before taking the champion down with a spinning head-scissors that he transitions into a triangle choke..... Speed now finds himself in a submission predicament as Fire Fly has Speed in the INFEST HAZARD..... But Speed manages to power his way up to his feet and then looks set to drive Fire Fly hard onto the mat with a powerbomb but Fire Fly then takes Speed by surprise with a sunset flip. Speed kicks out but is drilled with a drop-kick from Fire Fly, who kips up and snaps off another head-scissors, that this time drive Speed face first into the mat. With Speed in position, Fire Fly then headed up top but as he steadied himself Carl Batch got up on the apron, only for Fire Fly to shove the intefering manager off. However that distraction enabled Speed to get back to his feet and then cut Fire Fly off but as the champion looked set to bring Fire Fly crashing back in with a superplex, the dimunitive high flyer managed to shove him off and then as Speed went flat on his back the LEA man soared into the air and came crashing down upon Speed with the SKY HIGH FIRE FLY (Shooting Star Senton)....... One...... Two...... Three !!! Amazing Fire Fly had done it, he had become the new People's champion and ended the dominant near year long reign of Speed Machine in the process. Speed had a good reign with this belt, not just in terms of length but also in the consistent quality of his matches but I felt it was time for a change, the predictable thing would have been to have his run end at Batalla Final but I wanted his reign to end up just short of matching Dean Daniels reign with the belt. It was also always the intention for Fire Fly to be the next People's Champion. Result: Amazing Fire Fly defeated Speed Machine in 12:58 by pinfall. Capitao Brasil Jr then snapped off a rana that sent BBS crashing into the guard-rail. When things settled down a little, Daniels found himself isolated in the corner of the challengers. A German Suplex/Slinghsot senton combo brought the challengers a two count. Before Mitico went for the Mitico Driver but Daniels was able to block and then sneaking in a supciously low Pat Deacon Knee lift. Daniels then planted Mitico into the mat with a Forward Leg Sweep. Both then made the tag to their respective partners with Capitao knocking BBS off balance with a missile drop-kick, the 'Brazilian' masked man was then caught coming off the ropes but he used the momentum to turn that into a victory roll, before stunning BBS with a basement drop-kick. With the Bulldozer down Capitao then went for the Samba Roll but was tripped up from the outside and then pulled out of the ring by Dean Daniels. That drew El Mitico Jr into the ring, but the silver masked luchadore was cut off by referee Dewey Libertine, enabling Daniels to put the boots to Capitao on the outside, before the 'Brazilian' was pitched back into the ring. Capitao managed to kick out of BBS somewhat weak cover but it was clear the match had now turned in the favour of the champions. The Affliction Trinity duo then proceeded to work over Capitao in their corner but the LEA man proved to be resilient to their variety of suplexes, backbreakers and generally just having the boots put to him and when Dean Daniels went for a Diving knee drop off the second rope Capitao was able to roll out of the way but just as he was about to make the tag BBS knocked Mitico off the apron. Daniels then officially tagged BBS back in who then looked to put Capitao away with the Backdrop Driver but Capitao managed to work his way out of it and then nail the Bulldozer with a drop-kick, that was followed up by a leg-lariat before he slumped to the mat. BBS however was able to get the tag back into Daniels, who then grabbed hold of Capitao but the 'Brazilian' masked man managed to kick him off and finally get the hot tag into El Mitico Jr. Mitico then cleaned housed with a series of suplexes on Daniels and then a leaping charge into the corner to knock BBS off the apron. However that enabled Daniels to recover and bring Mitico down from behind with a Northern Lariat. That got Daniels a two count, before he lifted Mitico up with a double underhook and then began to deliver the trapped knees but the LEA man managed to block the knee strikes and the slip out before dumping Daniels with a belly to back suplex. Both then staggered back to their feet , Mitico ducked under a clothesline attempt from Daniels and then nailed the Affliction Trinity man with a dropkick coming off the ropes...Daniels then staggered into a Tilt A Whirl Backbreaker for a two count before Capitao Brasil Tagged back in and came crashing down upon Dean Daniels with a slingshot senton...... Daniels kicked out of the cover but was soon tied up in Capitao's A PRAYER FOR MERCY (Inverted Figure Four) submission, seeing that Daniels was in trouble BBS then entered the ring but was taken down with a drop toe hold from Mitico who then locked on a STF on the Bulldozer. But just as it looked like Daniels was about to tap out, he managed to make his way over to the ropes. The champions then realising that their Tag Title reign was in trouble then decided to take a powder, luring out the Sons of Lucha Libre into giving chase but as soon as the challengers caught up with the Affliction Trinity duo, Daniels and BBS cheap-shotted the LEA pair. BBS then launched Capitao chest first onto the guard-rail and Dean Daniels whipped Mitico into the guard-rail. With Libertine having lost control by this point BBS then flung Capitao into the ring and then proceeded to spike Capitao into the canvas with the ATOMIC DRILLER ! One.... Two..... Mitico had fought back past Daniels and was now entering the ring.... But it was too little too late as Libertine's hand went down for three. Once again the Sons of Lucha Libre come up short in their attempt at winning the Tag Team Titles. Result: Affliction Trinity (Daniels & BBS) defeated The Sons of Lucha Libre in 17:56 when Bulldozer Brandon Smith defeated Capitão Brasil Jr by pinfall with an Atomic Driller. I've been here before, but you see this time I'm stronger, a whole lot stronger. You see the last time I got a straight up one on one shot at those twin belts was back in 2009 and it was against the man I face tonight...Puerto Rican Power. I was more experienced back then, I probably wasn't ready but now Power will find out that the Nicky R!ot he goes up against tonight is stronger, smarter, better and tonight the Nicky R!ot he'll face is the one that will confirm the Affliction Trinity as the most dominant force in FCW. Dean Daniels and Bulldozer Brandon Smith then head back up the entrance ramp, as R!ot stays in the ring to face Power. What must be noted is that the Affliction Trinity are heels but don't rely on outside inteference. Rating: C Match #8: Undisputed Championship: Puerto Rican Power vs Nicky R!ot vs Power as always got a hugely positive response from the crowd during the pomp and ceremony of the introductions, whilst R!ot was roundly booed...a combination of his arrogant attitude and the fact that he was going up against the patriotic hero earning him the negative reaction. As soon as the bell rings R!ot gets in a cheap shot on Power , he the continues to pepper the champion with rights and lefts but Power just no sells the offence and in the end decks R!ot with a single clothesline. R!ot springs back up to his feet but staggers right into a fore-arm smash and is then tossed into the corner, Power then comes charging in but R!ot gets the boots up and then launches himself off the second turnbuckle with a double axe handle... R!ot then nails Power with a clothesline off the ropes but once again the champion just absorbs it and sends R!ot down to the canvas with another clothesline of his own. After an pin attempt, Power then lifts R!ot back up to a vertical base and sets up for a Powerbomb but R!ot manages to block and then jacks Power's jaw. R!ot then charges in with a clothesline off the ropes again..... This time the clothesline wobbles Power and R!ot finally gets the reborn patriot off his feet with a baseball slide drop-kick. Power kicks out of the pin attempt before R!ot taunts Power to get back to his feet....but as the champion does start to get to his feet he is kicked down by R!ot who then just stomps away on the champion before making another cover..... Power kicks out again but R!ot remains in control with a series of stomps, before deciding to head up to the top-rope. R!ot in a rare showing of aerial prowess then delivers a diving elbow drop but Power rolls out of the way at the last split second, causing the Affliction Trinity man to crash and burn. R!ot then staggers back to his feet and gets drilled with a roaring elbow from Power, who then follows up with the Atomic Drop....the crowd know what is coming next as R!ot gets planted into the mat with the Spinebuster..... SAN JUAN RUSH !! But R!ot saw it coming grabs hold of Powers foot and takes the big man down with a leg-whip. The Affliction Trinity man then delivers a series of stomps to the champions right leg before slapping on a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK !! R!ot has the hold locked on right in the middle of the ring and Power looks to be in all sorts of trouble....... But the champion digs down and turns the submission over, putting the pressure on R!ot but the challenger then turns the pressure back over to Power but just as it looked the champion may finally have to give in he makes it over to the ropes. R!ot then delivers a boot to the mid-section on the ropebreak and sets Power up for the 'Charles Peterson' (Exploder) but Power shrugs that off, only for R!ot to deliver and elbow shot to the side of the head.....SUB POP BOP ! Blocked by Power who then suddenly has a Full Nelson applied on R!ot.....SAN JUAN IMPACT (Full Nelson Slam)....... One....... Two..... Thr...... R!ot kicks out..... Power the lines up for another San Juan Rush but R!ot sees it coming side steps out of the way and this time drills Power with a SUB POP BOP !! One..... Two...... Thr...... Power just about reaches the bottom rope with one of his long legs to save his title. So close to a new champion, a frustrated R!ot then paces around for a bit wondering what he has to do to put Power away......R!ot then goes for another Sub Pop Bop but this time he fails to connect and Power comes back with a clothesline.... R!ot gets back up but is felled with another clothesline and then planted onto the mat with a bodyslam...... Power then waits for R!ot to stagger back to his feet...SAN JUAN RUSH ! (Running Big Boot) This time it connects...... One..... Two..... Three !! Puerto Rican Power will head into Batalla Final with the Twin Belts around his waist. Not up to the same standard of Power's matches with Mainstream Hernandez, however this was still a pretty decent main event with R!ot and Power delivering the sort of hard hitting match expected of them. Result: Puerto Rican Power defeated Nicky R!ot in 11:40 by pinfall. Puerto Rican Power retains the FCW Undisputed Championship title. Rating: C+ After the match Puerto Rican Power is soaking in the adoration of the crowd, when all of a sudden he is attacked from behind with a chair by a man in a creepy mask ! Creepy Mask Man continues to rain down chair shots on Power, which is met with a stunned silence from the crowd. Creepy Mask Man is not done however, he then lifts a dazed Power up and drops the Undisputed Champion onto the chair he brought into the ring with a Swinging Fisherman Suplex (a move that looks rather like a certain finisher used by some wrestler called Mean Jean Cattley). With Power down Mainstream Hernandez then enters the ring to a chorus of boos, because with his appearance on the scene it doesn't take the crowd long to put two and two together. Mainstream Hernandez: Let me introduce to you the man who will bring the Undisputed Championship to the Mainstream Nation....APATHY !! However I will not be satisifed until we have also driven Alex Braun from his position of Power too, the revolution will not be complete until he too faces defeat at the hands of the Mainstream Nation.... So Braun unless I get a one on one match with you at Batalla Final....the 'champ' wont even make it there. The rest of the Mainstream Nation then hit the ring and start putting the boots to Power....who then begins to fight back but it then become too much once again....Soul Krusher holds Power in place as the new recruit Apathy holds a chair up in front of Power's face...Mainstream Hernandez is about to superkick the chair into Power's face...when the commisioner Alex Braun appears back out on the entrance ramp.... Alex Braun: Enough ! Rating: C+ ________________________________________________ Overall: C Overall the show was pretty consistent with nothing particularly bad, but it did lack a great match to take it up to the next level. But this was effectively more of placeholder show in any case and there to gather some build towards Batalla Final and to set up the double main event of Puerto Rican Power vs Apathy for the Undisputed Championship and Mainstream Hernandez vs Alex Braun.

November in Review FCW Revolucion may not have been the best show in FCW history but it's served it's purpose for building towards this years Batalla Final. On the financial side, running only one show this month, saw us made a profit of around $15,000. I think most wrestling fans will have worked out who is working under the Apathy mask, and we're not really making it much of a secret either, but for those who really can't work it out we will keep his identity hidden for now. This isn't like a Phoenix Negra situation, where the wrestler behind the hood has virtually changed his entire move-set and has taken on a entirely different persona to the one he has without the mask. OK Apathy is a different persona to what the man behind the mask usually displays but he'll be wrestling with the same move-set and the question will be more what is the significance with him wearing the mask and why has he become the latest recruit to the Mainstream Nation ? Departing us however is Remmy Honeyman. Honeyman never rose above jobber status in FCW, but the main reason for him leaving was that he wasn't deemed to be 'tough' enough by Senor Lopez. It's a reason why he began to get used less during the latter half of his run with us. Unfortunately it's a fate that could befell Amo Del Gato and it's a reason why any kind of focused push for him has been halted. However unlike Honeyman, I do feel he has potential to rise above jobber status, so I'm hoping that he manages to toughen up enough to Senor Lopez liking, if he manages to do that then you could see a renewed push for Del Gato in the new year, if he doesn't then it's unlikely he will be brought back to FCW for a third time. Lowercard Tag Team Los Beetoolz, also looked in danger of losing their jobs over the bosses obsession over toughness but they managed to convince him that they could handle themselves like 'real men'. Roster mainstays Fox Mask and Angel De Mexico also put pen to paper on new contracts. It's nice to see JD Morgan still delivering the goods on the independent circuit, where he is reigning supreme as both the Mid Atlantic and PSW Champion. It's just a shame he isn't delivering for us, but due to the bosses infuriating falling out with Morgan a few years back, it means that we are unable to call upon his talents. He may be getting on years but he is showing with both MAW and PSW that he can be a solid hand for any wrestling promotion. __________________________________________________________ Rival Promotion Watch It Appears that anytime Ultimate Phoenix ends up missing a CZCW show it suffers, but Showdown at Sundown show was a disaster by their own normally lofty standards (C-). Though it probably didn't help having a main event that saw Quentin Queen go over Atlas (C-). No offence to Double Q, he's a promising talent but he's not at the level to main event a show yet, especially when his opponent is someone the calibre of Atlas. Match of the night saw Fox Mask retain the Xtreme Title against Insane Machine (C+). It was MAW who delivered the top show amongst the North American Indy circuit this month with their Retribution show (B-). JD Morgan made a strong defence of the Mid Atlantic Championship in the main event against Shady K (B-), whilst Jay Chord and Edd Stone had a fantastic match in the semi main event slot (B+). NYCW's Desperate Measures was up to their usual standard (C-), though notably Andre Jones ill-advised mega long reign with the Empire Title was brought to and end by Edd Stone (C) in the main event. Who would have thought they would see PSW put on the same quality of show as CZCW (yeah me neither) but their Apocalypse Now show was deemed to be on the same level (C-). JD Morgan once again held onto the PSW Championship, defeating Shady K in what was a good main event (C+). The undercard however remains as weak as ever, and it's on the back of JD Morgan's stirling work as champion that PSW have shown signs of improvement this past year. Are RIPW even worth reporting on, as they don't even seem to be in PSW's league these days, with their New Horizon's show struggling to convince wrestling fans that they have a good product (D). The main event saw Avalanche retain the RIPW Championship in a three way against Jim Force and Ekuma (D+). ______________________________________________________________ November News and Notes From Around The Wrestling World General News AAA the top all women's promotion in North America have risen to Cult Size. Worker Retirements Michelle Brendon the eldest of the Brendon Sisters has hung up her wrestling boots at the Age of 39. Though never pushed as main event talent, Brendon was a solid reliable hand in the AAA midcard since 2005 and captured the Tag Titles twice with her sister Tracy. Though the peak of her career was a 15 month reign with the Top Contender title between March 2009 and June 2010, it was during that reign that she looked like she was about to get push beyond her usual midcard role in AAA but they failed to follow up on her making the step up to the main event. Media News TCW have struck a deal with UK Broadcasting Secondary to show their Total Wrestling show from next month. Title Changes Arthur Dexter Bradleys reign with Burning Junior Championship only lasts a month, as Insane Machine captures the title for the first time his career. Zeus Maximillion stuns the CGC by defeating Alex DeColt to capture the World Title and Jared Johnson defeats Lee Rivera to win the Canadian Title for the first time. FCW En Viaje Thursday 12th December 2013 Weston Gynasium, Philadelphia, Tri-State (Attendance: 255) Puerto Rican Power cut a promo at the start of the show, warning the Mainstream Nation that they've tried to take the Undisputed title from him before and at Batalla Final it would be no different. He said that Mainstream Hernandez has obviously accepted that he is too weak to win the twin belts for himself, so he's managed to persuade some hired gun to try and do the job for him. He also says that he knows exactly who 'Apathy' is and thought that he had a bit more dignity and pride in himself, to be someone's servant. Rating: C- Match #1: Non Title: Puerto Rican Power vs Quentin Queen Even with the fact that the twin belts were not on the line here, no one was buying into Double Q being able to pull out the win here. If anything this match probably went on a little too long for what was basically an extended squash match. Rather predictably it all came to and end with the four moves of doom (Roaring elbow, Atomic Drop, Spinebuster, San Juan Rush) Result: Puerto Rican Power defeated Quentin Queen in 8:28 by pinfall. Rating: D Match #2: Amo Del Gato vs Primus Bland squash that saw Primus going over the relatively unmotivated Amo Del Gato (who perhaps has a sense that he is heading for the exit again), with the young ( at 24 he is still young) powerhouse pulling out the victory with his Power Plant running powerslam. Result: Primus defeated Amo Del Gato in 4:21 by pinfall with a Power Plant. Rating: D- Match #3: Boriken Love Machine Jr vs Mainstream Hernandez A good match with the crowd clearly behind Boriken. Well it's actually more a case of the crowd being heavily against the Mainstreamer, because Boriken doesn't have quite the same support as he does in Philadelphia, as he does back home in Puerto Rico. Boriken controlled the early going, until the Mainstream Nation leader managed to slow things down by going out for a powder and luring the relatively inexperienced Boriken into a trap, that saw the Puerto Rican masked man run straight into a superkick from the Mainstreamer. Hernandez then waited to get the count out victory, only for Boriken to bravely make it back in. The Mainstream Nation leader then 'toyed' with Boriken but almost paid the price for his arrogance, when he got stunned with the Love Gun (Double Knee Facebreaker), luckily for Hernandez ring positioning was his friend. Boriken then went for the Love Package but that was blocked by the Mainstreamer who then countered into a DDT and immediately transitioned into the Love Me Now ! but Boriken was able to power his way back to his feet and impressively took Hernandez over with a Northern Lights Suplex for a close two count. Boriken then went for the Love Gun again after sending the Mainstreamer into the ropes, but this term Hernandez was ready for it and was able to counter the attempt by simply holding onto the ropes. Boriken then staggered back to his feet and walked straight into a Super Kick....Unsatisfied that one Super Kick wouldn't be enough, the Mainstreamer then deliverered a second consecutive Super Kick to make sure of the victory. Result: Mainstream Hernandez defeated Boriken Love Machine Jr in 9:36 by pinfall. Rating: C- Match #4: Speed Machine & No! Dance2Win (B-Pev & K-Zing) w/Carl Batch vs Amazing Fire Fly & The Sons of Lucha Libre (Capitao Brasil Jr & El Mitico Jr) This was a solid Six Man Tag match that saw the Batch Enterprises Inc. trio try to ground the high flying luchadores of the LEA, be it by means fair or foul. For the most part they seemed to be having great success with both the man who recently dethroned Speed Machine for the People's Championship and Capitao Brasil Jr finding themselves in trouble. However the tide of the match turned when Capitao got the hot-tag into his partner El Mitico, after that the Batch Enterprises Inc. trio couldn't seem to get a foothold back in the match and it was K-Zing who ended up falling victim to the Sons of Lucha Libre's impressive Lucha Dreams (Springboard Doomsday Rana) finisher Result: Amazing Fire Fly and The Sons of Lucha Libre defeated Speed Machine and No ! Dance2Win in 11:45 when El Mítico Jr defeated K-Zing by pinfall. Rating: D+ Match #5: Animal Magic (Masked Cougar & Fox Mask) vs Los Beetoolz (Gringo Starr & Lennon McHarrison) Routine squash for the Tag Division mainstays over the comedy jobbers with Gringo Starr falling victim to the Last Hunt (Stereo Enziguri's) Result: Animal Magic defeated Los Beetoolz in 4:45 when Masked Cougar defeated Gringo Starr by pinfall. Rating: E+ Katie Cameron interviewed the recently dethroned Tag Team Champions The Brothers Phoenix. The Brothers say that they had a good run as the Tag Champs and were disappointed about losing the titles but that they have their sights set on the Undisputed Championship once again. Katie Cameron asked if this meant they were rivals again, and the reply to that was that when it comes down to it, they will but competitive rivals with a strong amount of respect for one another. Ultimate Phoenix then said that he will be making a statement of intent tonight in the main event, when he de-rails the Mainstream Nation's latest recruit Apathy. Rating: C Match #6: Austin Smooth vs Phoenix Negra The youngster Austin Smooth, seemed to be motivated to impress against the former Undisputed and Tag Team Champion. The fact he often used somewhat questionable tactics to try and hang with Negra failed to endear him to the fans but it was those tactics that saw him make the match a more even contest than perhaps would have been expected and at one point the upset looked to be on the cards when Smooth managed to slap on his Smooth Hold submission. However he locked it on too near the ropes and after the rope break, Negra just seemed to step it up a gear and in the end Smooth fell victim to the always devastating Certain Death (Vertebreaker). The moves called Certain Death for a reason, because it literally is a finisher that if Negra is able to pull it off, no one is able to kick out of. Result: Phoenix Negra defeated Austin Smooth in 8:33 by pinfall. Rating: D+ Match #7: Tag Team Championship: Affliction Trinity (Dean Daniels & Bulldozer Brandon Smith) vs Charles Rainier & Jared Johnson This Tag Team Title match did have a certain air of being a 'stop gap' title defence for the newly crowned Tag Team Champions. A win against Los Beetoolz the previous show was hardly going to turn myself and Double J into contenders overnight. After Johnson has survived playing Spencer Marks for a good portion of the match, the upset was teased a couple of times with myself going close with a Moonsault on Daniels and Johnson locking in the Carolina Crossface but the fans never really bought into these near-falls and in the end it came as no surprise to see the Affliction Trinity retain the titles when I ended up getting spiked on my head via a Raise The Stakes (Cradle Piledriver) from Dean Daniels. All in all this was a solid match but it lacked the heat and drama to take it from being solid into being good. Apathy then went outside to get some motivation from Mainstream Hernandez but there meeting was interrupted with by Ultimate Phoenix who came soaring over the top rope with one of his trademark planchas. But just as Phoenix was about to pitch Apathy back into the ring, the Mainstreamer provided enough of a distraction for his new recruit to spike Phoenix onto the floor with a DDT. Phoenix managed to get into the ring but Apathy was now in control and began to slowly pick apart the fan favourite by working over the legs of the high flyer, at one point even wrapping them around the ring post, before locking on a Figure Four in the centre of the ring. But Phoenix is not a former two time Undisputed Champion for nothing and after forcing the rope-break managed to turn things round with an combination of kicks and an Elemental Suplex for a two count. Phoenix then went for the Flaming Driver but that was blocked and Apathy tried for another DDT, only for Phoenix to block that and plant Apathy into the mat with a legsweep. With Apathy flat on the mat, Phoenix then decided to head up top, but he took a little too much time getting up to the top-rope and when he came soaring off with the Phoenix Firebird Splash, Apathy was able to move out of the way at the last split second. Phoenix then hobbled back up to his feet but walked straight into the Mood Swing (Swinging Fisherman Suplex) and that was enough for Apathy to pick up a win on his official debut. A slightly disappointing main event , considering the talent involved but 'Apathy' is having to work off some ring rust and that contributed to the often pedestrian like pace of the match. Puerto Rican Power and Alex Braun then came out to flatly disagree with the sentiments of Mainstream Hernandez and warned that his revolution would be coming to an end at Batalla Final. Rating: C- Overall: C- Overall the show did it's job as a stopgap before Batalla Final. However it was disappointing not to at least sell out the venue, but that's probably down to the very poor economy we have right now, and another factor that has hamstrung our efforts in trying to expand beyond Puerto Rico.

Russell was last seen in an FCW ring in February 2011 where he made a failed attempt to win the Undisputed Championship from J.D Morgan. Russell had this to say on his return to FCW and it appears he has already laid out a challenge to a particularly member of the FCW roster. ' I'm pleased to be returning home to Puerto Rico. Last time I was here in FCW I kind of took it for granted, I acted as though it was beneath me and that was the wrong attitude to take. I suppose you could also say I had a bit of an issue with not being seen as the biggest star in this sport in my home country. I accept that Puerto Rican Power is the MAN when it comes to the fans on this Island, but I'm proud to be another guy the people I grew up with can cheer for. I've been all over the world both in the wrestling and MMA arena's but once a proud Puerto Rican, always a proud Puerto Rican and besides who does rice and beans as good as on the Island I'm proud to call home. Besides the fact I felt it right to return home and kind of make amends, there is one member of the FCW roster that particularly caught me eye, simply because he kind of reminds me of me in my younger days. Like me he's a ruthless mat technician, known for his knowledge of submissions, I think you know who I am talking about ...... Yes that's right, the Speed Machine...Marc Speed. So if Speed is ready to test himself against another true submission artist, then I see no reason why we cannot make this my first match back in FCW. Unless he has other plans but if I'm not mistaken I think he is someone who would wish to test himself against the best and not wanting to blow my own trumpet but I do feel I am amongst the best.'
