On top of that he also progressed to the Finals of the Rey De Reyes. However his stock is not only rising in FCW but elsewhere too and their may be a challenge to keep hold of him. On the plus side he did recently sign a new contract, so will be around for at least the next nine months. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Fire Fly is becoming a fast rising star in his native Mexico, where he has been one half of the MHW Campeones de Parejas alongside Gino Montero since August 2012 and is already a three time Campeon de Menor in SOTBPW. Despite being brought back by the fans, Del Gato never did do much in his second run with FCW, that being said I did have plans to do something with him but the fact that Senor Lopez started harping on about only wanting real tough guys to represent FCW again, killed any chance of a push for the 'Cat-master' because apparently when it comes to a real fight he's not tough enough. [B]Outside of FCW[/B]: Joined MPWF at the end of last year where he has established himself as a solid hand in their lowercard. Has formed a trio's team with Tricolor Jr and El Serpiente, but thus far they have been able to win the Campeones de Trios. Having not held championship gold in FCW for nearly five years, the year ahead could be a make or break year for the LEA figurehead. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Angel De Mexico had a much more stellar year in his 'home' promotion of MPWF, where he has been a roster mainstay since 2006, so much so that he had a couple of shots at their main event belt the Campeon de Herencia de Mundo but came up short on each occasion. [CENTER][COLOR=olive]*********************[/COLOR][/CENTER] [B][U]Apathy[/U][/B] [IMG]http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_MeanJeanCattley-FIN.jpg[/IMG] [IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_FCW_PuertoRican.jpg[/IMG][IMG]http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_FCWChampionship.jpg[/IMG] [B]Affiliation:[/B] Mainstream Nation [B]From:[/B] Wilmington, Delaware/ [B]Billed From[/B]: The Great Unknown [B]Age:[/B] ??/ [B]Current Push:[/B] Main Eventer [B]2013 Record:[/B] 2-0-0/ [B]Avg Match Rating[/B]: C+ [B]Height[/B]: 6 ft , [B]Weight:[/B] 240 Ibs Finishers: Mood Swing (Swinging Fisherman Suplex), Love Me Now ! Apparently, not much is known about Apathy the latest recruit to the Mainstream Nation, however what is known that he has made an instant impact by dethroning Puerto Rican Power for the Undisputed Championship. Also despite the creepy mask that hides his features, he looks somewhat familar to a certain former MAW mainstay and even wrestles like that former MAW mainstay. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Apparently he hasn't wrestled anywhere else this year, if it is who many people feel it is behind the mask, that wouldn't be far from the truth as he would have spent most of the year recovering from a long term injury. The key word here is promising, because despite already having some fine technical wrestling skills, he is far from the finished article and he'll probably spend his first few years with the promotion at the lower end of the FCW roster. Outside of FCW: FCW is Smooth's first regular promotion and has thus far not joined any other promotions of note [CENTER][COLOR=olive]*********************************[/COLOR][/CENTER] [B][COLOR=navy][U]Billy [COLOR=red]Russell[/COLOR][/U][/COLOR][/B] [IMG]http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/Tigerkinney/th_BillyRussell.jpg[/IMG] [B]From:[/B] San Juan, Puerto Rico / [B]Billed From[/B]: San Juan, Puerto Rico [B]Age:[/B] 39/ [B]Current Push:[/B] Upper Midcarder [B]2013 Record:[/B] 0-1-0 / [B]Avg Match Rating:[/B] C+ [B]Height:[/B] 5 ft 9, [B]Weight:[/B] 200 Ibs [B]Finishers:[/B] Twisting Arm Lock, Knee Bar, Grounded Knee Flurry. The former MMA star made his return to an FCW ring for the first time since early 2011 at Batalla Final, where he went to a twenty minute time limit draw. Displaying a much more humble and respectful attitude than the last time he was on his home Island, Russell seems to have particularly singled out Speed Machine, though this is not due to some deep seated grudge Russell has with the former People's champion but because he sees alot of himself in Speed Machine and a worthy opponent. Even though he has signed a full term (9 month) contract this time round, it seems likely that Russell will be used sporadically, simply for the fact that he has no downside agreement so there isn't that commitment to having to use him for every show. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Russell appeared for the NYCW promotion throughout the year, where he came up short of winning the Empire Title from Andre Jones before moving on to a feud with Shady K. He also toured with BHOTWG throughout the autumn, ending the tour with a respectable even record and posting wins over Junior Division legend The Awesome Kiyaru and the current Junior Champion Insane Machine. Since then he has settled down in a midcard role, with his sights set on winning the People's Championship. Still young an inexperienced (and without the famous mask, he would have begun alot lower down the roster) thus far he has shown enough glimpses to be a promising young talent but needs the right opponent to bring the best out of him. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Joined SOTBPW in October, where unlike in FCW he is presented as a Rudo and thus far has picked up wins over several lower carders, whilst doing the job to the upper tier talents. It was an upset loss to Los Beetoolz that signalled that the fun loving Dance2Win had hit rock bottom and at Anniversario they returned with a new meaner attitude, Peverall re-christened himself as B-Pev...the duo added No! in front of their team name to signal that they were no longing about having fun and at the same time associated themselves with the returning Carl Batch, as the motormouthed manager looks to make an impact on FCW once again since the collapse of W.O.V. Having suffered several years of limited success the man formerly known as Bradford Peverall will be hoping that with his new tougher attitude and with the guidance of Batch, that the year ahead will see him climb back up the FCW ranks whether that be alongside K-Zing (Kashmir Singh) or as a singles competitor. [B]Outside of FCW[/B]: After going unbeaten in NYCW throughout 2012, he lost the Tri-State Regional title to Greg Rayne in March and then endured a losing streak. He also competed for XWA throughout the year with mixed success, challenging for (but coming short of winning) their secondary belt the All American title. As one half of the Sons of Lucha Libre, Capitao Brasil Jr spent much of the year persuing the Tag Team Championship alongside his partner El Mitico Jr...after several failed attempts they finally reached the summit of the Tag Division by defeating the Affliction Trinity duo of Dean Daniels and Nicky R!ot at Batalla Final, now they have reached the top, question now is can they stay there ? Capitao is a solid worker but is nowhere near the talent of his partner El Mitico and is generally presented as the weaker of the two during the Sons of Lucha Libre's matches. Out of the ashes of FREEDOM-5 I regrouped alongside Matt Hocking and Primus, as well as fellow youngster Jared Johnson (who had been turned on by the remnants of Devine Right) to form Team FREEDOM. However the faction of FCW home-growns struggled against the much more ruthless and experienced Affliction Trinity and definitely came out on the losing end of the feud. After dominating a brief feud against Team FREEDOM. Daniels would go on to win the Tag Team Titles alongside BBS, defeating the impressive Brothers Phoenix, however just a few months later they would lose them to the Sons of Lucha Libre. In fact with BBS departing FCW to concentrate on his commitments to other promotions, Dean Daniels heads into the new year with a bit of uncertainty. Is this the end of the Affliction Trinity and if so will Daniels decide to go it alone ? [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Daniels continues to work for the global sized giants WLW on a PPA basis where he used as a jobber but does occasionally pick up wins against fellow low card talent and also worked for Hinote Dojo throughout the year, there he is pushed to about the same level as he is FCW and made two unsuccesful attempts at winning their Triple-Crown from Kazuma Narato. [B]Outside of FCW[/B]: Is beginning to earn a reputation as a superb Tag wrestler, because not only does he hold the FCW Tag Team Titles with Capitao Brasil, he has also formed a succesful team with El Hijo Espada Roja in MPWF, where they have held the Campeones de Parejas for 13 months. On top of that he also enjoyed a succesful year in MHW culminating in him winning their Nacional belt in November, showing that he also has the ability to be a top singles performer. Unable to win back the Tag Team Titles for a fourth time, the former fan favourite duo shocked fans by turning heel and becoming the latest recruits to the Mainstream Nation. One of FCW's longest running Tag Teams (might actually be the longest running) Animal Magic have basically settled into their role as lynchpins as the Tag Division, who will always be perennial contenders for the titles. After spending most of their time in FCW as heroic babyfaces, the heel turn freshened up an act that was in danger of going a bit stale. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] A mainstay of the CZCW roster since it's inception Fox Mask is in the midst of dominant reign with the Xtreme Title (he's held it since July 2012) and found more success by capturing the Tag Titles alongside Mick Muscles in October. He was also enjoying similar success in NYCW under his alternate Snow Fox hood, where alongside The Sensational Singh he held their Tag Titles for over two years and had also captured the Tri-State Regional Title, however that all came to an end when Fox Mask failed to agree terms over a new contract. Though Team FREEDOM were quickly dominated by the Affliction Trinity (made up of the aforementioned R!ot and BBS alongside former FREEDOM-5 leader Dean Daniels) Jared Johnson did see a resurgence by the end of the year, getting himself into contention for the People's Championship and picking up a notable win over Angel De Mexico at Batalla Final. Now with a new meaner attitude and with the guidance of Carl Batch, they will be hoping to climb rank once again and get into Tag Title contention. No one has literally had more gimmick (and name changes for that matter than Kashmir Singh in FCW, without ever climbing out of the lower end of the midcard, in fact last year if you look at the stats he had pretty much slipped into jobber territory. The problem with Singh is that he is a loyal solid hand, who doesn't really stand out and anything and unfortunately (and his current Tag partner also falls into the same category) for him those are the sort of guys who end up being the one's who are regularly used to put other talent over. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Also regularly works for NYCW, where he works under his Sensational Singh gimmick...there he enjoys a better push and until his Tag partner in that promotion Snow Fox (Fox Mask) decided to leave the promotion he was in the midst of a lengthy reign with their Tag Titles. However he was unable to wrest the twin belts away from Puerto Rican Power but at the end of the his Mainstream Nation revolution made huge strides when he defeated Alex Braun (forcing Braun to step down as the FCW Commissioner) and the latest recruit to the Mainstream Nation Apathy was able to topple Puerto Rican Power. Probably the best all round talent on the roster, it is suprising (pleasantly I must say for us) that one of the bigger promotions had not come in for him years ago, but that was their loss and obviously our gain. [B]Other Promotions:[/B] Has established himself in USPW's midcard where he is their current Television Champion and has recently signed on with TCW on a PPA basis but because of that is only likely to be used as job fodder, however the exposure on National TV should raise his profile. He also worked for MAW throughout the year but has now decided to depart from them, citing them as the least important commitment of an increasingly busy schedule, despite only winning two out of ten matches for them last year, most of his matches were against those in the upper tier of their roster but perhaps because of his more pressing commitments to othe promotions (notably ourselves) that lead to him being used in a JTTS role. When FREEDOM-5 and the remnants of Devine Right imploded, former rivals R!ot and Daniels formed Affliction Trinity alongside Bulldozer Brandon Smith, however with BBS now headed out of the FCW exit door the future of the Affliction Trinity looks to be in jeopardy. R!ot spent much of the year on the fringes of the main event and that's the position he finds himself in heading into the new year. Outside of FCW: Also works for both USPW and MAW (as Nicky Champion). In MAW he is currently one half of their Tag Team Champions alongside Warlord Power (FCW's very own Puerto Rican Power under a power and paint gimmick), whilst in USPW he was heavily involved in the Television title scene throughout the year but was unable to get his hands on a title he last held back in the early part of 2008. After they had lost the titles the Brother's Phoenix each once again turned their attentions back to regaining the Undisputed Championship, whether or not this leads to them renewing their rivalry remains to be seen. Negra had noticeably his lower average match rating since he came in, but this is due to the fact that he was working mostly Tag matches throughout the year and as much as I would like that not to be the case, I have become accepting of the fact that the big singles matches tend to grade that little bit higher. The power of the team, Primus had admittedly not quite developed as much as we would have hoped over the years but perhaps our expectations were a little too high and he has by all accounts settled into being a solid member of the FCW roster. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] Was part of the USPW roster up and until September but was used purely as job fodder during his time there, and his experiences in the Florida based promotion may have done more harm than good, whilst he has also struggled to make much of an impression in NYCW but despite the lack of any kind of push remains with that promotion. Senor Lopez near refusal to put anyone over, means that he will always have to kept strong but after last years title lengthy reign with the twin belts, I will be looking to phase him out of the title picture next year, whilst obviously keeping him a prominent part of the Main Event picture because his ego wouldn't allow it to be any other way. Outside of FCW: Is one half of the MAW Tag Team Champions under his Warlord Power gimmick and he also competes regularly for USPW, where he is heavily involved in their Television Title picture. However both of their focus now appears to be on being the Undisputed Championship once again and it is Ultimate Phoenix who heads into the new year as the new number one contender. At 38, the word 'veteran' is starting to be banded about with Phoenix but he shows no real sign of slowing down and until some of skills start to noticeably fade he should be a fixture in FCW's main event scene for a good while yet. [B]Outside of FCW:[/B] One of the most in demand wrestlers on the 'independent' circuit Ultimate Phoenix also enjoyed a great year with CZCW and OLLIE, winning their main event championships within a month of one another during the summer.

Put in a solid enough showing, but has nothing to make him stand out and we already have enough of those type of guys in our lowercard. [B][U]Remmy Honeyman[/U][/B] [B]Departed:[/B] November [B]2013 FCW Record:[/B] 0-0-6 Only made sporadice appearances throughout the year as a jobber, his tenure in FCW was basically brought to an end when he was deemed to not be tough enough by Senor Lopez. [B][U]Bulldozer Brandon Smith[/U][/B] [B]Departed:[/B] December [B]2013 FCW Record:[/B] 7-1-4 Was enjoying a strong push as part of the Affliction Trinity stable, and was one half of the Tag Team Champions but his decision to go on tour with WLW, as he continues to place his main focus on his work in Japan, saw him tell us that he was going to depart from us, thus bringing his time in FCW to an abrupt end. We did manage to persuade him to work one final match at Batalla Final, and to do the right thing by pointing the Sons of Lucha Libre over.

[CENTER][B][U]January in Review[/U][/B] [/CENTER] As always with our month off, we were able to recuperate back some money (around $40,000 in this case) by simply not spending much of it, with the only real costs being the fact that we still had to market ourselves to make sure that people were aware that yes we are still around and that we would be returning to action in February. It appears that Senor Lopez is beginning to get a little frustrated over the fact that FCW haven't really grown beyond it's home area and he has told me in laymans terms that he wants FCW to have gained popularity in America. I somewhat sarcastically told him Puerto Rico itself was in America but he told me not to get all smart and that though I had a good job as the booker it was time that he saw HIS baby step ut up a gear). I did try to explain to him that the potential growth of FCW was being stunted by the currently poor financial climate but the boss man was having none of it and has said that if FCW hadn't shown considerable growth within the next two years, then he may well have to think about bringing in someone else to try and achieve those very goals. What also emerged in my conversation with Senior Lopez, is that he expect's everyone the jobbers included to at least show some degree of Charisma, he told me he doesn't want to see another Remmy Honeyman in an FCW ring, because even those who'll be looking up at the lights most nights should at least be able to get the crowd invested in them. A couple of new additions will be joining the roster at the next show. First off former RIPW mainstay Kentucky Bill will more then likely be a somewhat minor addition as we fill a gap in our lower card with the expected departure of Amo Del Gato. Bill will be dropping the Kentucky part of his name and will be debut with the name of Bill E Stone. The other addition to our roster will be kept under wraps but they are someone with a past history in FCW. Importingly both Capitao Brasil Jr and Amazing Fire Fly both put pen to paper on new contracts, we put trust in them that they would stick around when we put the Tag and People's Titles on them towards the end of the year and they repaid that trust by deciding to stick around. Lisa Bowen (now known as Alyssa Viperini) and commentator Cueball Lynch also signed new deals. [CENTER]______________________________________________________________ [B][U]Rival Promotion Watch[/U][/B][/CENTER] Another superb defence of the Coastal Zone Championship from Ultimate Phoenix against Mick Muscles (B+) in the main event elevated CZCW's Revolution 2014 event to an impressive B Rating. The undercard was also pretty solid but quite rightfully it was the main event that stole the show. MAW presented this years edition of their Rip Chord Invitational with Jay Chord winning the tournament for the second running by toppling Warlord Power in the Finals, though the event itself had some great matches Chords first round match with Avalanche was seemed to so good it earned a B+, whilst the main event itself was a B-...the crowd were apparently a bit burnt out by an event that solely concentrated on just the tournament itself so overall it was only deemed to be worthy of a C-. PSW's WrestleNation event was up to the standard they had been setting themselves throughout last year (C-) with a generally poor undercard supporting a solid main event that saw JD Morgan succesfully defend the PSW Championship against Knuckles (again !- it's getting as repetitive as Wolverine-Martin) in a Last Man Standing match (C+) NYCW's Rush Hour event was an average affair (C) with Edd Stone making a succesful defence of the Empire Title against Shady K (C) in the main event. There was actually a show stealing Tag Team Title match that saw Lee Rivera and Casey Valentine succesfully defend their belts against Kashmir Singh and Lassana Makutsi (B-) this came in the middle of the show. RIPW continue to lag behind everyone else in terms of quality, with their Suckerpunch show earning a D+ rating. Avalanche defended the RIPW Championship against Ekuma in a relatively forgettable main event (C-). No surprise to see CZCW put on the best in our month off, but MAW can probably feel a little aggrieved that the RCI wasn't as well received as perhaps it should have been. [CENTER]_____________________________________________________________[/CENTER] [CENTER][B][U]January News and Notes From Around The Wrestling World[/U][/B][/CENTER] [B]General News[/B] 5SSW, the world's leading all female promotion has risen back up to National Size, they managed to get to this level around the same time last year but fell back to Cult Size when they were unable to maintain enough interest when the likes of BHOTWG and PGHW came back on tour, so the jurys out on whether they can actually maintain it this time and become the first all female promotion to be truly recognised as a National sized promotion. [B]Worker Signings[/B] Danjuro Komatsu accepts the offer of a written contract from 5SSW to join their commentaty team. BSC bring in veteran wrestler Vixxen, an odd move seeing as she's in her 40's and not exactly dripping with sex appeal...then again they have had Gorgon on their roster for years. Exodus 2010 bring in some big name gaijins for their next tour in the forms of ex DaVE Tag Team champion Guide and fellow DaVE alumnus Big Cat Brandon, Blood Raven will also be part of their next tour, whilst Torch Nakazawa has signed on a regular PPA contract. Dazzling Dave Diamond is brought back by MAW (he last appeared for them in March of last year). Angel De Mexico increases his schedule by signing on with MHW. Daniel Black Francis will be rejoining MOSC, about half a year after leaivng the promotion. OLLIE bring in former SOTBPW worker Junior Youth. PGHW sign Kalu Owusu and asign him to development with SAISHO. SOTBPW bring in Tigre Salvaje Jr, who had been working teh Exhibition show circuit in Mexico the last couple of years following his release from OLLIE. It seems unlikely that he has been brought in with a push in mind and will more than likely be used as a jobber. UEW boost their roster with the additions of Buff Martinez and Frank De Pain. USPW bring in Brendan Idol. [B]Worker Extensions[/B] 21CW extend the contracts of Stevie Stoat, Pitbull Brown, Jonathan Faust and road agent Colin 'Steamroller' Chalke. Following their rise back to National Size 5SSW tie down Raku Makuda, Angel Takudome, Sae Akutagawa and Kinuye Mushashibo to new exclusive written contracts, whilst referee Akikazu Miyagi signs a new PPA deal. A busy month for AAA, who extend the contracts of a dozen roster members, amongst those are Katherine Goodlooks, Devils Daughter and Kristabel Plum. BHOTWG secure Heiachiro Sakai to a new written contract. BSC extend the contracts of Raven Nightfall, Geena Warrior Princess, Michelle Brendon and manager Sienna DeVille. CGC extend the contracts of Zeus Maximillion, Kamikaze Christian Vars, Reggie Bishop, Stan 'The Man' Manna, Jerry Martin and manager Phil Vibert. CWWF extend the contracts of Jana Marie Bowen, Steph Blake and announcer Marty Papin. CZCW extend the contracts of Insane Machine, Flying Jimmy Foxx, Giant Brody, color commentator Alex Braun plus valets Rita Charles and Jakki. EWA extend the contracts of White Knight and announcer Mark Stanford. Exodus 2010 extend the contract of road agent Gesshin Nishihara. GCG secure gaijin star Shooter Sean Deeley to a new written contract. Hinote Dojo extend the PPA deals of Taheji Konoe, Matsudaira Morioka and announcer Hirokichi Hatakeda. MAW extend the contracts of Avalanche, Shady K, Lead Belly, Scythe, Xavier Reckless, Bradley Blaze, Cowboy Buck Winchester, Ekuma, referee Brett Graveson and announcer Marv Earnest. MHW extend the contracts of El Heroe Mexicano and Rebelde Loco. MOSC extend the contracts of Kevin Jones, Jonathan Faust and referee Scott Gregory. MPWF extend the contracts of Angel, Mexican Ghoul, Inca Jr, Ultra Spark Jr, Tricolor Jr, La Criatura de la Navidad, El Hijo Espada Roja, Kid Azucar and referee Sebastian Cabrera. NOTBPW offer up new written deals to Harlem Haynes, Nate Johnson, referee Matthew White and commentary team duo Tommy London and Wanda Fish, whilst Cliff Anderson and Mitch Naess are offered new PPA deals. NYCW extend the contracts of Erik Strong, Mercutio Sleep and Nelson Callum. OLLIE extend the contracts of El Leon, El Critico, Phoenix III, El Hijo Del Neutron and Magik. PGHW extend the contracts of Li Bingci, Buddy Garner, Joshua Taylor and Larry Vessey, who is being used in a backstage hand/trainer capacity. PSW extend the deals of around a dozen member of their roster, amongst those are Jim Force, Knuckles and Greg Rayne. RIPW extend the PPA deals of The Midnight Prowler, Jesse Christian, California Love Machine, Ernie Turner (Assassin #2) and referee David Poker. ROF extend the contract of Wade Orson. SAISHO extend the PPA deal of Josh Jones. SOTBPW extend the contracts of El Demonio, Reaper Cicero, valet Jennifer Heat, announcer Mateo Hidalgo and referee Guillermo 'Fast' Navarro. Steve Gumble, Mr America and Shane Stones sign new PPA deals with SWF. TCW secure World Champion Genghis Rahn, Tyson Baine and road agent Sam Keith to new written contracts. UEW extend the contract of road agent Nathaniel Pross. USPW extend the contracts of Puerto Rican Power, Nicky Champion, Justin Sensitive, Quentin Queen, womens wrestler Suzanne Brazzle, manager Captain USA and general hanger on Sheik Mustafa. WLW secure referee Tsutomu Watnable to a new written contract. XWA extend the contracts of Knuckles, Nevada Nuclear, Rob Reynolds, Grease Hogg, Marshall Dillon, Slim V, The Insane Heat, James Prudence, Rudy Velasquez, D.C Rayne and Atlas. [B]Worker Releases/Departures[/B] Longtime BSC mainstay Alison Capone has taken the decision to leave the Las Vegas based T&A promotion, to concentrate on working for AAA. Buff Martinez decides to defect from the EWA to UEW, I would say this would come as no real surprise as Martinez fell out with EWA's owner Byron, but everyone knows that Byron is also competing in UEW as Jay Heatbreak. Perhaps showing their recent growth, one of the Exodus 2010 originals become's a pink slip victim, with Young Boy Sayuki released from the promotion. Morimasa Kato leaves GCG after he fails to come to terms on a new contract. Danjuro Komatsu, known as the voice of the Japanese Indys leaves his commentary posts with Hinote Dojo, INSPIRE and SAISHO after he put pen to paper on a written contract with 5SSW. Vincente Romero departs from MHW but mutual consent. Joey Beauchamp leaves MOSC, unhappy with the push he was receiving in the promotion. Kashmir Singh who was working for PSW under the Mr Electricity gimmick, makes the decision to leave the promotion. SWF release Stevie Grayson. Kalu Owusu leaves UEW after signing a developmental deal with PGHW and Christopher Lister also leaves after failing to come to terms on a new contract. Perhaps looking to cut costs XWA don't offer contract extensions to Bradford Peverall, Damian Carvill and Dazzling Dave Diamond. [B]Injuries[/B] KC Glenn injured his knee in a match for WLW, resulting a floating knee cap that will see him on the shelf for two months. Mexican wrestling veteran Mayan Idol is another one suffering with one of his knees right now with Ligament damage keeping out for a month. Damian 'The Natural' Carvill will be out of action for a month as he gets treatment for a reverberating bicep. [B]Worker Retirements[/B] Two straight months of no one retiring. [B]Title Changes[/B] All change in 5SSW as all three sets of titles changed hands this month. Megumi Nakijima finally got the better of Fuyuko Higa to win the World Title for the first time, Shiori Jippensha won the All Asian title for a record setting sixth time and 'The Unforgiven' (DEVIL Karube and Gemmei Oonishi) regained the Tag Titles, to begin their second reign with the belts. Matty Phatty defeated Jared Johnson to become the CGC Canadian Champion for the first time and Edd Stone teamed with Hugh De Aske to win the CGC Tag Team Titles to end the near year long reign of Damian Carvill and Mick Muscles. Fox Mask's near 18 month long reign with the CZCW Xtreme title was brought to an end by Insane Machine. Greg Keith and Roy Edison became three time World Tag Team Champions in GCG ending the half year long reign of Takayuki 2000 and Masataro Kataoka. Jonathan Faust ended the 15 month reign of Harley Neill to take claim of the MOSC Blood & Beer Title for the first time. MAW's annual Rip Chord Invitational Tournament took place this month with Jay Chord winning the trophy for the second year running, along the way he defeated Avalanche, Andre Jones and then Warlord Power to win the tournament. Power defeated The Silencer then Nicky Champion to reach the final, whilst Edd Stone and Ekuma The Hawaiian Strong Man made up the rest of this years field. Stephanie Hazel defeated Jaime Quine for the NOTBPW women's championship, to equal Quine with a record five reigns. Gino Montero, El Heroe Mexicano and Phoenix I who had been dominant as the OLLIE Trio's champions were upset for the belts by Mexican Beast, Vincente Romero and Hijo Del Relampago. 'Dark Star' Erik Strong defeated Stevie Gumble to become a four time SWF Shooting Star Champion. Danny Fonzarelli defeated Eddie Chandler to begin his first reign as TCW's International Champion. Americana defeated KC Glenn to become the Universal Champion in WLW for the first time, Haru Kurofuji defeated Barei Yasujiro to become a two time Show Stealer Champion but Yasujiro avenged that loss (when teaming with Tanyu Toshusai) to win the Tag Titles from Kurofuji and Koji Kojima.

This is my favourite part of the diary. I skim the write-ups for matches because I'm no longer into the blow-by-blow recounts. I read the interviews and angles because that's where the characterization really shines but I *devour* the backstage and out-of-ring things. From Senor Lopez' bizarro world demands, to how the other feds are doing to your detailed recaps of all your wrestlers. (I'd forgotten Java was ever on the island.) Is Braun really 52? Other than that you continue to set an excellent bar for those who want to do a complete, detailed dynasty.

[CENTER][B][I][U][SIZE=3][COLOR=teal]Delorean Driver.com[/COLOR][/SIZE][/U][/I][/B] [B][I][U][SIZE=3][COLOR=teal]Your Top Wrestling News Site[/COLOR][/SIZE][/U][/I][/B][/CENTER] [B]Notes From A Small Island:[/B] FCW return to the Ricardo Montenez Ballroom in San Juan on Monday February 3rd to present their first show of 2014 FCW Ataque Contario. Puerto Rican Powers reign as Undisputed Champion was brought to an end by the mysterious yet eerily familiar Apathy, the masked man under the orders of Mainstream Hernandez and with Alex Braun forced to step down as the FCW Commisioner the Mainstream Nation have never looked more dangerous or more powerful, so Ultimate Phoenix may be up against it as he makes the first challenge to Apathy for the Undisputed Championship. Meanwhile Mainstream Hernandez will take on Phoenix Negra, as Negra looks to get himself into title contention whilst the Mainstream Nation leader looks to protect the twin belts by seeing off potential challengers. Former champion Puerto Rican Power will look to get some measure of revenge on the Mainstream Nation when he teams alongside fellow Puerto Rican patriot Boriken Love Machine Jr to take on the MN duo of the 'monster' Soul Krusher and the much improved Joseph in an anything goes 'Barrio Street Fight' The Sons of Lucha Libre finally lay claim to the Tag Team Titles they had been chasing for so long, when they defeated the Affliction Trinity duo of Dean Daniels and Bulldozer Brandon Smith by two straight falls. The Affliction Trinity are keen to take the belts back however with the challenge this time coming from Daniels and R!ot but with BBS having departed from FCW the future of the Affliction Trinity looks to be in jeopardy and one has to wonder if Daniels and R!ot are unable to win back the Tag Titles from the Sons of Lucha Libre, if this could be the beginning of the end for the faction ? Another Lucha Equity Alliance member holding gold right now is Amazing Fire Fly and the lightning fast highlight reel will take on Team FREEDOM's Jared Johnson, as he makes his first People's Championship defence of the year, whilst their fellow faction members Amazing Fire Fly and Charles Rainier will be involved in a four corner survival that will also feature Speed Machine and Austin Smooth. Rounding out the show Quentin Queen will step up to the challenge of taking on former MMA star Billy Russell and there will be a four way Tag Team scramble featuring Animal Magic, Los Beetoolz, No ! Dance2Win and the team soon to be formerly known as 'HockPrime' ; with the winning team earning a Tag Team Title shot. Also on the show Matt Hocking and Primus reveal their official new Tag Team name and Amo Del Gato takes on new comer Bill E Stone in the bonus pre-show match. Undisputed Championship: [B]Apathy[/B] vs Ultimate Phoenix Obviously. Makes a lot of sense using Ultimate as your first challenger, as he's pretty much guaranteed to make Apathy look good. Mainstream Hernandez vs [B]Phoenix Negra[/B] This one's difficult. I think you build up Negra as the next challenger here, but you could be building Mainstream back up, so who knows... Tag Team Championship: [B]Sons of Lucha Libre[/B] vs Daniels & R!ot Miscommunication or a frustration based DQ loses the Trinity of two this match. Or a newly debuting third man? People's Championship: [B]Amazing Fire Fly[/B] vs Jared Johnson He'll keep the belt for a while yet, though I can actually see Johnson be the man that takes it from him eventually. Barrio Street Fight: [B]Puerto Rican Power & Boriken Love Machine Jr[/B] vs Soul Krusher & Joseph I don't think you'd even be allowed to have Joseph on the winning side of this match even if you did want to throw a swerve at us. 4CS: Angel De Mexico vs Austin Smooth vs Charles Rainier vs [B]Speed Machine[/B] ADM comes close to winning, but is yet a gain thwarted. SM takes it to build up a rematch between him and Russell [B]Billy Russell[/B] vs Quentin Queen Billy-boy definitely takes this. Tag Team Scramble: [B]Animal Magic[/B] vs (formerly known as) 'HockPrime' vs Los Beetoolz vs No ! Dance2Win Everyone seems to be forgetting that AM are the more established and better team in this match. HockPrime will get to look good for their new name, but ultimately it makes sense to point AM towards the title shot. Amo Del Gato vs [B]Bill E Stone[/B] Enjoy it Bill. It's your only win for a while.

[B][U][COLOR="DarkRed"]Ataque Contario[/COLOR][/U][/B] Undisputed Championship: Apathy vs [B]Ultimate Phoenix[/B] [I]- Because Apathy doesn't care if he gets disqualified as long as he keeps the title. Wait, maybe he doesn't care enough about the title to care if he gets disqualified or not. Wait... that would mean... wait... Nope... like Apathy I don't care to figure this out any more. Although the DQ win keeps Phoenix looking strong.[/I] [B]Mainstream Hernandez[/B] vs Phoenix Negra [I]- Hernandez does not want to go the way of Angel duh Mexico, so picks up a win here in what could be a show-stealing match. Do you love him now?[/I] Tag Team Championship: [B]Sons of Lucha Libre[/B] vs Daniels & R!ot [I]- Even though I'm not a fan of SoLL, they NEED this win to legitimize their reign. Trumping Daniels and R!ot would go a long way to helping that claim.[/I] People's Championship: [B]Amazing Fire Fly[/B] vs Jared Johnson [I]- I don't think Fly will have as long a reign as Daniels or Speed but there is no reason for Johnson to be the one to end his reign. The only way Johnson wins this is if Fly is leaving OR if Fly is being elevated.[/I] Barrio Street Fight: [B]Puerto Rican Power & Boriken Love Machine Jr[/B] vs Soul Krusher & Joseph [I]- I believe it is called Creative Control? Right Senor Lopez. Also Joseph isn't a jobber, he will job on this night.[/I] 4CS: [B]Angel De Mexico[/B] vs Austin Smooth vs Charles Rainier vs Speed Machine [I]- Like SoLL, Mexico needs this win to retain any legitimacy as the leader of his Lucadore Alliance. I'd likely be happier if he loses and goes heel since he's as bland as the rice portion of the 'rice n' beans' available at the food stalls.[/I] Billy Russell vs [B]Quentin Queen[/B] [I]- A soft spot in my head and heart for Q2. Plus I think Speed Machine interferes to further their feud and gives Russell a reason to care about being back in Puerto Rico.[/I] Tag Team Scramble: Animal Magic vs [B](formerly known as) 'HockPrime'[/B] vs Los Beetoolz vs No ! The rest of the Mainstream Nation goons surround him, whilst it is clear that despite not being the champion Mainstream Hernandez is still the leader of the group....standing out in front and with a microphone in hand, ready to utter one of his 'sermons' that almost the entire crowd within the 'Monty' would rather not hear and because the Twin Belts are in the Mainstream Nation's possession there is no doubt that he will be more insufferable than ever.....[/I] [COLOR=darkred][B]Mainstream Hernandez:[/B] The Mainstream Nation is stronger than ever.....[/COLOR] [I]As soon as the Mainstream Nation speaks he is met with a barrage of abuse....[/I] [COLOR=darkred]The Mainstream is stronger ![/COLOR] [I]The crowd continue to try and drown on Hernandez......[/I] [COLOR=darkred]THE MAINSTREAM NATION IS STRONG ![/COLOR] [I]Despite raising his voice the crowd continues to yet him know just what they think of him, letting the vitriol die down a bit more this time the Mainstream Nation leader then continues...[/I] [COLOR=darkred]You see the Mainstream Nation is strong, whilst you...all you sheep are weak...you rile against us because the false idols that we showed to better than, tell you too. They brawled into the crowd and exchanged a few weapon shots (a trash can lid was involved at some point) before the Mainstream Nation pair started to fight dirty to gain the advantage, a low blow from Joseph followed by a Uranage slam from Krusher on Power, had the former champion down on the outside but Boriken managed to buy himself some time with a dive off the top-rope. Boriken then nailed Krusher with the Love Gun (double knee facebreaker) back in the ring only to be levelled with a kendo-stick shot from Joseph, who then spiked Boriken into the mat with a DDT for a two count. Joseph then set up a chair and dragged Boriken up to his feet to set up for the Misery Be Shared but he took too much time setting up, allowing for a recovered Power to drill him with a San Juan Rush, which proved to be enough for the patriotic babyfaces to pick up the win in the first FCW match of 2014. Mitico then steps outside the ring himself and all four men engage in a crowd brawl which even though the Sons of Lucha Libre have the upper hand in the beginning it probably would have been wiser of them to get the action back into the ring as quickly as possible...caught up in the adrenalin of the moment the Sons keep things out there for too long and the Affliction Trinity pair find a way to turn things in their favour as Daniels DDT's Mitico onto a chair and then R!ot sends a charging Capitao chest first across the guard-rail. With the match getting close to a double count-out R!ot pitches Capitao back into the ring for a quick cover. The 'Brazilian' manages to kick out but the challengers are now clearly in control of the match. Daniels and R!ot then basically resort to Tag Team 101....cutting off the ring, working quick tags and getting in as many cheap shots as they possibly can, this of course leads to Mitico becoming very frustrated with the situation, stepping into the ring on several occasions but only making things worse for Capitao by taking Michael Bull's attention away from the match and allowing for the Affliction Trinity duo to dish out more punishment. A vertical suplex (R!ot)/diving knee drop (Daniels) combo gets a two count for the challengers as the begin to step it up a gear.R!ot then sets up for a Charles Peterson but Capitao somehow manages to fight out of it and then counters with a monkey flip, before following in with a running drop-kick and then slumping to the mat to try and crawl his way over to the corner, but Daniels charges across the ring and knocks Mitico off the apron, allowing for R!ot to recover and reign Capitao back into their corner. Daniels then held Capitao in place as R!ot decided to go up top but a flying double axe handle, completely misses its mark. The Affliction Trinity pair soon recover and set up Capitao for a double team suplex but the 'Brazilian' reverses into a double stunner before finally getting the tag into Mitico. As expected the fresh and fired up Mitico cleans house, sending R!ot out of the ring with a drop-kick before levelling Daniels with a lariat and then planting the Affiction Trinity man with a snap suplex for a two count, Mitico then decided to head up top and went for a Frog-Splash only for Daniels to roll out of the way at the last split second. Both then rose back to their feet and engaged in a fore-arm exhange, before Mitico whipped Daniels across the ring, only to be tripped up from the outside by R!ot. R!ot then sneaked back into the ring and levelled Mitico with a clothesline, before Daniels (still the legal man) went for a quick cover. Mitico bravely kicked out but Daniels then snapped off the tri-fecta of snaps suplexes, something that lured Capitao back into the ring to make the save. The 'Brazilian was soon pitched out of the ring as Daniels turned things back over to R!ot who then set up for a Sub Pop Bop but he telegraphed the move to the silver masked luchador who ducked under and then planted R!ot onto the mat with a reverse STO. Unable to follow up with a cover Mitico then simply looked to get Capitao back into the match.....R!ot tagged out first but just a split second later Mitico made the tag. Capitao sprung back into the ring but got caught by Daniels and it looked as though the 'Brazilian' would be spiked into the mat with a Raise The Stakes but Capitao managed to counter into a victory roll...Daniels kicked out but got nailed with a basement drop-kick. Capitao then decided to head up top but Daniels was back to his feet, however Capitao dove off to take Daniels down with a cross-body for a two count, before following up with a senton bomb for another two count. Capitao then dragged Daniels across to the Sons of Lucha Libre corner and tagged Mitico back in, who then placed the Affliction Trinity man on his shoulders but before the champions could deliver their signature move the Lucha Dreams, R!ot had sneaked round and shoved Capitao to the floor, that then allowed for Daniels to slip off Mitico's shoulders and then plant Mitico with a German Suplex..... That brought a two count for Daniels, who then tried to get Mitico into position for the trapped knees but Mitico felt that coming and was able to block with a jawbreaker. Daniels then staggered back to get the tag into R!ot who then levelled Mitico with a series of clotheslines, before following up with a vertical suplex. To R!ot's frustration Mitico kicked out, before the Affliction Tirnity man set up for the Charles Peterson but Mitico was able to block and then after a standing switch dumped R!ot with a Quicksilver Suplex...... One..... Two.... Thr.... R!ot kicked out...undeterred Mitico then headed up top but was a bit slow getting up there, but he was able to stay ahead of R!ot and followed in with a diving fore-arm smash.... One... Two..... Daniels dived back into break it up but he was soon sent out of the ring via a drop-kick from Capitao who then put his own body on the line to wipe Daniels out with a tope con hilo. Mitico then headed up top again (this time making it up the turnbuckles at a much quicker rate, with the adrenalin now once again pumping) and with R!ot unable to pick himself back off the mat, the silver masked luchadore came crashing down upon R!ot with a FROGSPLASH ! One... Two.... Three !! The Sons of Lucha Libre proved that their victory at Batalla Final was no fluke, as they made a successful first title defence. They didn't stray too far from the usual formula but everything here was executed well and this was the sort of performance from the Sons that sees them put down a marker for them actually having a run with the belts, now that they finally have them. [B][COLOR=red]Result: The Sons of Lucha Libre defeated Affliction Trinity (Daniels & R!ot) in 14:51 when El Mítico Jr defeated Nicky R!ot by pinfall. Los Beetoolz went for plenty of flashy dives but their execution was at times a bit sloppy, Animal Magic as expected looked the most sharp and fluid out of all the pairings and were the only team to really bust out some proper Tag Team combo's during the match on a regular basis. A super-kick/German combo for a two count on Matt Hocking was particularly sweet. As the match began to reach it's conclusion Primus looked to have had the match won after nailing Fox Mask with a Rruuussshh !! only for K-Zing to make the save, that lead to Primal Shock and No ! Dance2Win engaging in a mass brawl, that eventually spilt out into the ring and up the entrance ramp. Seeing the opportunity to pick up a rare upset win, Lennon McHarrison went for the Peppersault but crashed an burned..before a recovered Fox Mask nailed him with the Fox Hunter...Gringo Starr then dove in to make the save but he was soon cut off by Masked Cougar and the Animal Magic pair then combined to put Starr away with the Last Hunt to once again put themselves firmly back in contention for the Tag Team Titles they had held on three previous occasions. Russell then tried to maintain control with an arm wringer, but the youngster popped back up and levelled Russell with a clothesline. Queen then tried to shake feeling back into his right arm, before Russell came charging at him only to be planted into the mat with a Uranage slam. To the surprise of the fans in attendance Double Q then began to take control of the match, reeling of a couple of basic suplexes, however his right arm was still bothering him and he was slow to follow up and Russell tried to get his arm submission locked on again, only for Queen to force his shoulders to the mat. Queen then tried to get Russell up for the Q-Ball but he was unable to get the former MMA star up, as he seemed to lack the strength in his right arm to get Russell up and over, that then lead to Russell bringing Queen back down to the mat and fully synching in the Twisting Arm Lock, Queen the bravely tried to hang in there but in the end saw no other choice but to tap out or risk further/lasting damage. A better match than expected with Double Q putting in a plucky performance. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Billy Russell defeated Quentin Queen in 8:21 by submission. Speed Machine looked to have had the match won when he had Austin Smooth in the Speedbreaker 2000 only for Angel De Mexico to break that up with a diving splash off the top-rope....Angel then planted Speed into the mat with the Acapulco Twist only for myself to come along and knock the LEA leader out of the ring with a drop-kick. Austin Smooth then staggered back up to his feet and straight into a C.R Driver as Speed Machine and Angel De Mexico both looked on in frustration at having not being able to pick up the victory in the match. After the 'indy stand off' they go at it again, this time Johnson seems to get the advantage catching Fire Fly springing off the ropes and using the momentum to deliver a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Double J then positions the champion for a German Suplex only for Fire Fly to slip out and counter into a victory roll. Johnson kicks out and then catches Fire Fly with a stiff fore-arm before whipping Fire Fly into the corner. The Team FREEDOM man comes charging in but Fire Fly slips out and then nails Double J with a drop-kick that sends the Carolina born prospect out of the ring. Fire Fly then launches himself off the top-rope with a springboard senton, that wipes out Johnson prior to the diminutive high flyer landing perfectly feet first amongst the crowd. Fire Fly then pitched a dazed Johnson back into the ring but after Fire Fly went for a quick cover, Double J managed to kick out but he remained rooted to the mat and the high flying champion headed up top to set up for a Sky High Fire Fly but Johnson was playing possum and the Team FREEDOM man popped back to his feet to try and bring Fire Fly in with a superplex only for Fire Fly to shove him off and then launch off the top turnbuckle but Johnson was able to block a Tornado DDT and then drop Fire Fly across his knees into a gutbuster. Double J then followed up with a clothesline, before dumping Fire Fly onto his head with a German Suplex for a close two count...undettered Double J then immediately floated over into the Carolina Crossface, but Johnson had locked it on too close to the ropes and the LEA man was able to edge his way over to the ropes and force the rope-break much to the increasing frustration of Jared Johnson. Johnson retained control with a stiff fore-arm shot, before delivering a boot to the mid-section and then setting up for the MDK POWERBOMB !! (his all too rarely used Sunset Flip Powerbomb) but Fire Fly had that scouted and countered into a 'rana for a two count. Then as they popped back to their feet Fire Fly kept the momentum on his side with a spinning head-scissors that left Double J disorientated enough for him to go up top once again....this time he soared off the top rope with the SKY HIGH FIRE FLY (Shooting Sat Senton) and before Johnson could move out of the way, Fire Fly came crashing down upon him to seal another succesful title defence. In fact it was the former Undisputed and Tag champion that dominated the early going with kick and strike combinations that had the Mainstream Nation leader constantly on the backfoot. With Negra about to step it another gear, Hernandez decided to bail and go for a powder. This time Negra did not bite and just patiently waited for Hernandez to get back in the ring. Once back in Negra took over Hernandez with a snapmare before delivering a vicious kick into the Mainstream Nation leaders shoulder blades, who then recoiled back in pain before Negra lifted him up and then planted Hernandez back down to the mat with a neckbreaker..... Negra then followed that up with a standing moonsault for a two count. With Hernandez still rooted to the mat, Negra dragged the Mainstream Nation leader back up to a vertical base and looked to be setting up for a Brainbuster but Hernandez was playing possum, and sneaked in an eye poke before doubling over the masked man with a kick to the mid-section and then driving Negra into the canvas with a DDT. But to Hernandez shock Negra just got right back up and rocked the Mainstreamer with a leaping Enziguri. Negra then tried for the Brainbuster again but before he could deliver it Hernandez managed to slip out and then bail out of the ring but a fired up Negra wasn't keen on accepting a cheap win by count-out and launched himself over the top-rope with the no hands plancha but Hernandez managed to move out of the way and despite Negra being able to land on his feet he was blindsided with a impactful Super Kick from the Mainstream Nation leader. Hernandez then went to drag Negra back into the ring but when they got up on the apron...Negra got as second wind and after drilling the Mainstream Nation leader with a stiff forearm shot set up for the Brainbuster yet again but once again Hernandez slipped out and then planted Negra with a reverse STO on the apron !! Hernandez then simply and confidently waited for Michael Bull to count Negra out but to the Mainstream Nation leaders frustration Negra managed to muster up enough energy to roll back into the ring. But the Mainstreamer was most defintietly the fresher man and Negra stumbled right into a SUPERKICK !! One..... Two.... Thr...... Negra kicked out but the Mainstreamer was undeterred by that, delivering a series of stomps before heading up top for the APPARITION #14 but as he came crashing down upon his intended target he ended up hitting nothing but canvas as Negra moved out of the way at the last split second. Hernandez still staggered back up to his feet first and went for another Super Kick but Negra saw it coming and then planted the Mainstream Nation leader down to the mat with a leg-sweep before delivering a vicious kick to the head to set up the BRAINBUSTER !! One..... Two........ Hernandez kicked out, but Negra retained control lifting Hernandez up to deliver a second brainbuster, this time transitioning it into the LAST CHANCERY ! But just as it looked like the Mainstream Nation leader looked set to tap out, Michael 'No BS' Bull was distracted by Alyssa Viperini, or more specifically the 'enhanced' cleavage that Daddy got her as a present on her 19th birthday. Bull came to senses and threw Viperini out but whilst that was going on Joseph the Mainstream Nation lackey snuck into the ring broke up Negra's hold on his leader with a kendo stick and then planted Negra into the canvas with the MISERY BE SHARED (Wrist Clutch Fisherman Brainbuster)....... Joseph then placed his leader on top of Negra and high tailed it throught the crowd before Bull was aware of what just happened.... One.... Two..... Thr.... NO ! to the delight of the crowd Negra kicked out and then managed to regain the advantage with a kick combination before setting Hernandez up for the Certain Death but the Mainstreamer managed to slip out and then drill Negra into the canvas with a DDT before locking on the LOVE ME NOW ! (Guillotine choke) ..... Negra tried to power back up to his feet but Hernandez was relentless with the hold and the decorated masked man was begining to fade first despite the support of the fans urging him on to fight out of the hold.... This lead to Bull checking on Negra.... He got no response the first time but gave Negra the benefit of the doubt and tried a second time... Still no response but Bull gave Negra one final chance to respond..... Negra was out of it and Bull saw no choice but to call for the bell, as Mainstream Hernandez managed to edge out the victory over Negra. A good match between two of the two top talents in FCW but you have the feeling that they have a better match against one another within them. Phoenix does seem distracted by the prescence of the Mainstream Nation at the start, despite being able to hold Apathy at bay with some slick kick and strike combinations but the Mainstreamer's ringside goading has the popular masked man distracted enough that he is unable to follow in, allowing for Apathy to recover and eventually Phoenix runs into a big clothesline from the champion that turns things in Apathy's favour. The champion then just simply stalks Phoenix before stomping away on the fan favourite and then delivering a simple body slam for a two count. More methodical stomps followed, as Apathy just continued to dish out the punishment with Mainstream Hernandez barking orders from the outside. Apathy then lifted Phoenix back up to a vertical base before planting the masked man across his knee with a Uranage backbreaker for another two count that was then followed by a belly to back suplex for yet another two count. With Phoenix down on the mat Apathy then tried for the figure four but despite being on the wrong end of the punishment being dished out thus far Phoenix still had enough wits about him to kicks Apathy off....Apathy soon regained back the advantage though and then set up for a Powerbomb only for Phoenix to counter into a victory roll. Apathy kicked out at one and then scopped Phoenix up onto is shoulders only for Phoenix to spike Apathy into the canvas with a swinging DDT ! However Phoenix was too worn down to be able to follow up and both lay on the mat trying to regain their bearings as Dewey Libertine started a double count. Both beat the count at the same time and Phoenix was able to side-step as clothesline as Apathy lunged forward before nailing the Mainstream Nation member with a spin kick, that has Apathy staggered and Phoenix followed that up with a spinning leg-sweep that planted Apathy onto the canvas before following up with a quebrada. That earned Phoenix a two count, who then lifted Apathy back to a vertical base before setting up for the Flaming Driver but Apathy was able to block the attempt and then send Phoenix over with a back body drop....Phoenix however righted himself onto his feet and then stunned Apathy with a standing drop-kick, with Apathy staggered Phoenix then climbed up to the opposite turnbuckle before diving off and spiking the champion into the mat with a Tornado DDT..... One..... Two..... Thr.... Apathy kicked out but remained rooted to the mat and Phoenix decided to head up top once again as he looked to finish the champion off with the Phoenix Firebird Splash but Mainstream Hernandez then got up on the apron and momentarily distracted Phoenix allowing for Apathy to rise back to his feet and then bring Phoenix crashing back into the ring with a belly to back superplex. Apathy was then back to his feet first, before delivering a simple boot to the mid-section and then drilling Phoenix into the mat with a DDT which he then tried to transition into the very move he won the Twin Belts with the Love Me Now ! but Phoenix had it scouted and managed to slip out before stunning Apathy with a kick to the head...then taking something out of Brother's playbook he then impressively managed to get the larger Apathy up and then down for a BRAINBUSTER ! One.... Two..... Apathy kicked out and then rose up as is though the Brainbuster had no effect. The champion then took a stunned Phoenix down with a clothesline before scooping Phoenix onto his shoulders and driving the popular masked man onto the mat with Death Valley Driver ! One...... Two.... Thr..... Phoenix kicked out but looked to be in real trouble as Apathy set up for the Mood Swing but Phoenix was able to block and then countered into a quick roll-up that he then transitioned into an Elemental Clutch ! But Apathy managed to power his way up to his feet only for Phoenix to drive him down to the mat with a DDT...... Phoenix then created some space for himself by peppering Apathy with a combination of kicks but Apathy managed to absorb them and caught Phoenix with a stiff fore-arm but Phoenix was able to avoid being put in the Mood-Swing again and managed to create some separationd with a drop-kick, Phoenix then ducked under a clothesline attempt and then using the momentum went to spring off the top-rope as he attempted to go for the springboard roundhouse kick but as he did Mainstream Hernandez got up on the apron and shook the top-rope causing Phoenix to lose his footing.... Apathy then took immediate advantage, reeling Phoenix in then planting the fan favourite onto the mat with a MOOD SWING ! (Swinging Fisherman Suplex)...... One.... Two.... Thr.... Ultimate Phoenix managed to kick out but Apathy remained undettered by Phoenix' fighting spirt and was able to take the former two time champion over with a second Mood Swing ! This time Phoenix was done and Dewey Libertine counted to three. Apathy is having to work a somewhat slow and methodical style right now due to the fact that he is coming back from an injury and whilst it ties in well with the character it doesn't always make for thrilling matches however Ultimate Phoenix as ever did have his working boots on and carried the champion to a good main event. Though much like the match that went before you feel that they have a better match in the them against one another down the line. [COLOR=red][B]Result: Apathy defeated Ultimate Phoenix in 15:37 by pinfall with The Solution following interference from Mainstream Hernandez. [B][U]Predictions Contest[/U][/B] [I]There were 11 entrants all together for the FCW Ataque Contrario predictions contest, here's how everyone performed[/I] [B]7/9:[/B] BigPapa42, Foolinc,LFC Chris, Marcel Fromage, Markish,The Mystery [B]6/9:[/B] Beeker, Dragonmack, grj1234, Phantom Stranger, Smurphy1014 A very close contest this month and because there was no real clear winner everyone wins a Puerto Rican Power Bobblehead Doll. [CENTER]____________________________________________________[/CENTER] Something new, some prediction's analysis. I think the matches that caught most people by surprise were both of the 4-ways the Tag and the singles. Markish put it best in predicting the 4-way Tag scramble when he says that everyone seems to be forgetting that Animal Magic are the best team in the match. Primal Shock as they are now called (credit goes to Marcel Fromage for the team name) were most people's picks to win the match but they are currently bogged down in a feud with No! Dance2Win and those two teams cancelled each other out. In what must have been a moment of madness (or perhaps he channelled Beeker's power's of prediction) Smurphy1014 picked the team blatantly in there to do the job (Los Beetoolz) to win the match. As for the 4CS match, most went for Speed Machine but I just felt it was the sort of fairly meaningless match that my user character could sneak the victory. Also Beeker (who is legendary for making bizarre picks) was going surpisingly well until he got to the Billy Russell- Quentin Queen match and tipped Double Q to pick up the win.

[QUOTE]4CS: Angel De Mexico vs Austin Smooth vs [B]Charles Rainier[/B] vs Speed Machine Machine could get the win, but I think you take this one to maintain your status as uppercard gatekeeper Billy Russell vs Quentin Queen squash Tag Team Scramble: Animal Magic vs [B](formerly known as) 'HockPrime'[/B] vs Los Beetoolz vs No ! Dance2Win [I]probably not in this case[/I], but name change usually = win[/QUOTE] As you can see, I tabbed you to win that match, and even though I went with the crowd picking Primal Shock, I still had a feeling they wouldn't win as I also recognized Animal Magic as the best group there. ;)

I don't think I've ever picked Rainier to win a match unless it's been blatantly obvious... I just blank on user characters usually, for whatever reason. And my other dropped match was the one I flagged as most difficult. One day I'll outright win this prediction contest, but for now I am fine with my share of PRP's bobblehead collection.

[QUOTE=Tigerkinney;751267] As for the 4CS match, most went for Speed Machine but I just felt it was the sort of fairly meaningless match that my user character could sneak the victory. [B]Also Beeker (who is legendary for making bizarre picks) was going surpisingly well[/B] until he got to the Billy Russell- Quentin Queen match and tipped Double Q to pick up the win.[/QUOTE] I picked Q2 to beat Umaga and that surprised a lot of people, so now I just like rooting for him. And while I am flattered to have the reputation I have for making odd selections, I do go out of my way each and every time to justify (no matter how strangely) the reasoning behind my picks. I know that when I wrote a dynasty that I loved it when people predicted, loved it even more if they gave their reasons. I don't read a lot of dynasties but those I do I'm loyal to. Marcel, Tigerkinney, J Silver, Monkeypox. There are a few others but I find good writers who tell compelling stories - not good wrestling matches (Tigerkinney just happens do to both) and I stick with them. I also make sure to feedback because as Marcel will tell you, I may go 0 for 6 but my predictions generally make the writers/bookers smile. I may not make sense or pick the safest but I do so in an entertaining way as a way to give back and say thank you to the writers whose work I enjoy. Oh, and Q2 totally could have benefited from Speed Machine interfering. Then Q2 goes over Speed Machine by DQ when Russell punches Q2... just to irk Speed. ANd suddenly FCW has its own Mikey Whipwreck. Taking massive amounts of abuse but somehow still winning. Trying to lose even but still winning somehow. That's just what my booking was looking like and it made for a fun prediction I knew was likely wrong but was too entertaining not to share.

[B][U][SIZE=3][COLOR=sienna]FCW En Viaje[/COLOR][/SIZE][/U][/B] [SIZE=1]Monday 24th February 2014[/SIZE] Attendance: 300 (Sell Out !) Weston Gynasium, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania [I]The show began with the Mainstream Nation standing in the ring with Mainstream Hernandez poised to deliver one of his 'sermons'. As per usual Hernandez went on about the 'revolution not being stopped' and that those who were not on board with the Mainstream Nation were sheep following false idols. The Mainstreamer then mentioned at Ataque Contario that he saw a vision from his past, as past HE has moved on from and that if this vision dares to stick their oar in his business then this vision (honestly he kept referring to Sara Silver as 'The Vision') then they would pay the consequences.....[/I] [I]At that point with Hernandez still keen to gabble on, Puerto Rican Power came out onto the entrance ramp to do his usual 'the fans are bored of hearing you speak' schtik. Hernandez then reminded Puerto Rican Power, who has the real power right now in FCW and that if he wanted to shut him up then why doesn't he let his actions do the talking. Power then said that he would rather not face the Mainstreamer but that he wants his re-match against Apathy and that he was willing to have it tonight. Hernandez laughed at this, saying that why would Power demand a re-match now and not back home in front of his adoring people. Power reminded the Mainstreamer that it doesn't matter where they are, people want to see the Mainstream Naiton get their butt kicked and that Power was in a butt kicking mood tonight. [/I][I]Hernandez then told Power that Apathy accepts his challenge and that he would pay a heavy price for such foolishness.[/I] [B][COLOR=red]Ratings: D+ for Mainstream Hernandez intial rant, C+ for Power/Hernandez microphone sparring.[/COLOR][/B] [B]Match #1: People's Championship: Amazing Fire Fly vs Charles Rainier[/B] A disappointing affair, but that may be down more to the crowd reaction rather than the work we put in against one another in the ring, that may be because whilst Fire Fly is over in P.R he's not really that over yet on the mainland and if truth be told because of the face against face nature of the match it did come across as a bit of an 'exhibition' with very little heat at times. The match had some cools such as Fire Fly going for the Inferno DDT, only for me to see what was coming and drop kick the dimunitive high flyer out of mid air and the champion countering a D.R Driver attempt into an Infest Hazard but the crowd just weren't into the match as much as perhaps they should have been. In fact the most intrigue came with the finish, when after nailing Fire Fly with a missile drop-kick I looked to have the LEA man in trouble but then as I looked to follow in I was tripped up from the outside by Angel De Mexico who had suddenly come out to support his stable mate, causing me to stumble into the El Cristo (Spinning Headscissors into a Crucifix Pin) from Fire Fly and more out of disorientation than anything else that proved to be enough for the LEA man to keep hold of the belt. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Amazing Fire Fly defeated Charles Rainier in 10:49 by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=purple]Amazing Fire Fly retains the FCW People's Championship title.[/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: D[/COLOR][/B] [I]After the match I asked Angel De Mexico 'what the hell was that' whilst the LEA leader acted all innocent, passing back up the entrance ramp, I flat I told him 'I thought you wer better than that'. Fire Fly then putting two and two together then asked Angel if he just 'helped' him retain the title. Angel then simply said that there is nothing wrong with a bit of help occasionally. Fire Fly said that he did not need Angel's help and that he was more than capable of winning the match on his own. Angel then said that if it wasn't for HIS help in the first place then Fire Fly wouldn't be where he is now. Fire Fly then asked bluntly if Angel was simply jealous of his success. Angel scoffed at that remark, saying what would he have to be jealous about. [/I] [I]Fire Fly replied that it's blatantly obvious that Angel must be feeling insecure over the fact that he is the only one of the LEA without a title and that he must feel his position as leader is under threat. Angel retorted that Fire Fly couldn't be further from the truth and that he was proud to 'share' in the rest of the LEA's success. They then left the ring together, but it was clear that Fire Fly looked unconviced by what Angel had just said[/I]. [B]Rating: D+[/B] [B]Match #2: Capitao Brasil Jr vs Jared Johnson[/B] This match saw one half of the Tag Team Champions take on a man looking to finally deliver on the 'prospect' tag in 2014. Much like the opener this was a solid affair that probably would have gotten a better crowd reaction back home in Puerto Rico. Even though much of the match was wrestled on the mat, it was done with a fair amount of pace and vigour. The story of the match saw Johnson keep Capitao grounded but becoming surprised when the LEA man was going hold for hold with him and eventually getting the Team FREEDOM member locked in his Inverted Figure Four Submisson (A Prayer For Mercy) only for Double J to quickly make it to the ropes. Capitao then began to pick up the pace and after taking Double J down with a leg-lariat decided to head for the skies but Johnson got the knees up when Capitao went for the Fall From Rio (Swanton Bomb). Double J then took Capitao over with a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count, before turning the 'Brazilian' over and locking on the Carolina Crossface. Capitao then tried to make it to the ropes but Johnson was able to drag Capitao further to the middle of the ring and in the end the Tag champion saw no other choice but to tap out, earning Johnson a victory over someone that whilst mostly noted for bein a Tag Team wrestler was technically 'higher up the card' in the eyes of the fans right now in FCW. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Jared Johnson defeated Capitão Brasil Jr in 9:39 by submission.[/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: D+[/COLOR][/B] [B]Match #3: Affliction Trinity (Dean Daniels & Nicky R!ot) vs Los Beetoolz (Gringo Starr & Lennon McHarrison)[/B] This was a total squash match with Los Beetoolz on the receiving end of major beating from an Affliction Trinity duo coming off a loss in their Tag Title match at Ataque Contario and thus in a seriously bad mood. In all honestly Daniels & R!ot could have had this completely one sided match finished with inside the first minute but they actually yet McHarrison tag out to Gringo Starr just so they could take out their frustration on not just one of their unfortunate opponents. In the end Starr was put of his misery when he wa turned inside out with a Sub Pop Bop from Nicky R!ot. The match itself was a solid but hardly spectacular effort with the finishing stretch seeing Hocking head for the top-rope after nailing K-Zing with a drop-kick, however Carl Batch got up on the apron and that distraction proved to be enough for the former Mr Electricity to recover and then plant Hocking onto the canvas with a Move #54 (Forward Russian Legsweep) off the second rope. [B][COLOR=red]Result: K-Zing defeated Matt Hocking in 5:57 by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B]Rating: D+[/B] [I]After the match Bradford Peverall joined his Tag partner to lay a beating on Hocking, only for Primus to come out and make the save....K-Zing high tailed it but Peverall remained going toe to toe with Primus and the bell rang to make it into an official match.[/I] [B]Rating: E+[/B] [B]Match #5: B-Pev w/Carl Batch vs Primus[/B] This was little more than a brawl, but the intensity from both men got the fans on side. Peverall who probably has one of the best 'punches' in the business was able to keep the powerful Primus at bay for most of the match, but when it came down to it Primus was able to absorb what was thrown at him and after avoiding a Rock Hard Uppercut he was able to dump Peverall with an overhead release Belly to Belly Suplex. Peverall then staggered back to his feet only to then be knocked half way across the ring with a Rrruuussshhh !! [B][COLOR=red]Result: Primus defeated B-Pev in 6:03 by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: D+[/COLOR][/B] [B]Match #6: Angel De Mexico vs Bill E Stone vs Fox Mask[/B] This turned out to be decent enough midcard filler with the goofy Bill E Stone somewhat amusingly getting in the way of a competitive wrestling match between Fox Mask and Angel De Mexico. Stone may well have been onto a good thing though as he let the two masked lay into each other whilst he picked his spots and after Angel De Mexico took Fox Mask down with the Acapulco Twist he snuck up behind the LEA leader and then as if he was channelling his 'cousins' from up North he placed Angel in the Stone Hold. However before Angel was about to tap, Fox Mask broke it up by nailing Stone with the Fox Hunter. Fox Mask then looked set to get the pin on Stone but was suddenly rolled up by Angel who then used the ropes for leverage to seal the victory. Dane O'Hara made sure to put over the tainted nature of Angel's victory on commentary, by saying that he knows Angel is desperate to get back to winning ways but he thought he (Angel) stood for fair play and honor. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Ángel De México defeated Bill E Stone and Fox Mask in 8:20 when Ángel De México defeated Fox Mask by pinfall.[/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: D [/COLOR][/B] [B]Match #7: The Brothers Phoenix (Ultimate Phoenix & Phoenix Negra) vs Mainstream Hernandez & Joseph[/B] Perhaps it goes to show just how much Joseph's stock is rising that Mainstream Hernandez is prepared to have him tag alongside in a relatively high profile tag match against two of the Mainstream Nation's most bittertest rivals, that being said he is still the lowest ranked member of the faction. The Brothers Phoenix pushed the early pace in this one, managing to isolate Joseph until a miscommunication between the pair lead to them arguing, that allowed for Mainstream Hernandez to sneak into the ring an admidst the sudden chaos, the Mainstream Nation duo were able to turn things in their favour. Ultimate Phoenix then found himself playing 'Spencer Marks', after severall false hot-tags Ultimate Phoenix finally did get the tag into Negra who then cleaned house and got a close two count on Mainstream Hernandez with a Brainbuster, as Joseph made the save. The match then broke down with the finishing stretch seeing Ultimate Phoenix eat a Superkick from Mainstream Hernandez only for Phoenix Negra to springboard in and take the Mainstream Nation leader down with a flying fore-arm. Negra then lifted up a dazed Mainstream Hernandez and set up for the Certain Death only for Joseph to make the save before he could deliver the move... Hernandez then bailed out of the ring as Joseph set Phoenix Negra up for the Misery Be Shared but Negra was able to block the move and reverse into a Brainbuster which he transitioned into the Last Chancery. Ultimate Phoenix then stood guard but instead of trying to come in and save his fellow Mainstream Nation member, Hernanez made no effort at all and instead just headed up the entrance lamp leaving Joseph no choice but to tap out to the Last Chancery. [B][COLOR=red]Result: The Brothers Phoenix defeated Mainstream Hernandez and Joseph in 15:37 when Phoenix Negra defeated Joseph by submission.[/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: C[/COLOR][/B] [B]Match #8: Apathy w/ Mainstream Hernandez vs Puerto Rican Power[/B] Despite bailing on Joseph during the tag match, Hernandez night obviously wasn't done as he came out alongside Apathy with Alyssa Viperini to give the champion their support, as Puerto Rican Power looked to regain the twin belts he lost at Batalla Final, in what was the most important 'En Viaje' main event yet, call it a treat for the 300 or so Tri-State fans who fill out the dingy sweatbox that is the Weston Gymnasium every time we make the trip over. The match began with Power as the aggressor but Apathy just soaked up what the former champion threw at him and then gained the advantage with a simple knee to the gut/groin. Apathy then methodically targetted Power's legs with kicks before taking the big man down with a chop block and then looking to lock in the figure four only for Power to kick him off with his long legs.....Power then got back to his feet but was taken down again with a basement drop-kick. Apathy then continued to work over the legs and with the help of Mainstream Hernandez dragged Power across to the ring post, crotching the former champion and then tying his legs round the post before wrapping a chair round the post as Alyssa Viperini did her best to distract Michael 'No BS' Bull. At this stage the fans were really worried for Power, as the cold calculating Apathy continued to work over the legs before he was finally satisifed to lock the Figure Four on once again but somehow Power managed to find the inner fortitude to not only tap out but to also force his way over to the ropes. Apathy then tried to get a cheap shot in after the rope break but Power managed to block that and took Apathy down with a clothesline. Apathy got up and instantly nailed Power with another basement drop-kick that took the big man down, but this time Power just got right back up as if though he had now become impervious to pain. Whatever Apathy now threw at Power the patriotic hero just shook it right off and just dished it right back. Power then got Apathy up for a vertical suplex but the work on his legs still had an obvious effect as he struggled to maintain the balance to keep Apathy up but despite bein able to take Apathy over with the suplex he was then able to get his eerily masked opponet into the clutches of the Atomic Full Nelson only for Apathy to find his way out of that by hooking his heel up into Power's groin. Apathy then charged in off the ropes only for Power to nail him with the roaring elbow, the atomic drop then the spinebuster followed before Power nailed Apathy with the San Juan Rush. Surely Power was going to be the champion again but to the fans and Power's shock Apathy managed to not only kick out but sat right back up.... However Apathy just walked right into another roaring elbow, but this time Michael Bull just so happened to stumble into the path, and despite then putting Apathy down with another spinebuster, Power realised that Bull's face was now flat to the canvas and that there would be no one there to make the count. Mainstream Hernandez then entered the ring, steel chair in hand and took a swing at Power only for the champion to kick the chair in the Mainstream Nation leaders face with a San Juan Rush. However the distraction was enough for Apathy to stagger back to his feet and then chop block Power from behind, Apathy then picked up the chair Hernandez brought into the ring and smashed it over the knees of Power and then discarding it just before Bull was able to come back to his senses and when Bull finally did so, he found Power once again locked in the Figure Four. Power then bravely tried to hold on but in the end the damage done to his legs throughout the match was too much to bear and he saw no other choice but to tap out or run the risk or having his career end right there and then. [B][COLOR=red]Result: Apathy defeated Puerto Rican Power in 13:38 by submission. [/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red][COLOR=purple]Apathy retains the FCW Undisputed Championship title.[/COLOR] [/COLOR][/B] [B][/B] [B][COLOR=red]Rating: B-[/COLOR][/B] [I]After the match the Mainstream Nation, aren't done and it does look they seem intent on putting Power on the shelf permantly as they continue to assault the former champion but before the situation becomes beyond repair for Power...the Brothers Phoenix storm the ring in the nick of time. The show then ends with the Brothers Phoenix standing tall in the ring, as thr Mainstream Nation retreat back up the entrance ramp.[/I] [B]Rating: C-[/B] [CENTER][B]____________________________________________________[/B][/CENTER] [B][SIZE=3][COLOR=sienna]Overall: C[/COLOR][/SIZE][/B] Did what it set out to do, deliver a solid non Puerto Rico show and also help forward a few storylines. Of course I normally wouldn't throw such a big main event onto an En Viaje show but I wanted to find a way to keep Power out of the title picture and him being hot-headed enough to blow his re-match on a B-Market show and with the Mainstream Nation in a strong position seemed a viable solution.
