Remix.GFX Picture Preview

Recommended Posts

Howdy, I recently have been working on developing a unique picture pack which you may or may not like... It will be edited a lot before release, but here are two samples just previewing mainly the background developed by myself. Any comments?
Thats why I said they are a draft ;) I just made them that size for the background shape.
That makes no sense. What part is the preview than? Thats like me saying I am going to make a pic pack and it going to be cool and be circle shaped. Here is a "draft" of it:

Well I wated some opinions on them, and I supplied a preview. No need to get snippy. Jees. All it needs is a decrease in size and hey-ho. Instead of giving them in a preview at 150x150 I gave them at a slightly bigger size so the background can be seen clearer. Is there really anything wrong with that?

I like them. They do have a "trading card" vibe to them, and that is part of their appeal. I'd be curious to see how they'll look once they are sized for game use. My only complaint is that the font used to name the workers is a little difficult to read. Perhaps it is just the color combination used in your preview, but I could see that being an issue, especially when the image is re-sized. It may not be a big deal for easily recognizable workers, but once those obscure Japanese rookies make their way onto this background, it could be frustrating not being able to make out their names. Overall, I think this is really nice work.

Ok well I said ill get some more updated ones up, and this I feel will be the style I go with on the full pack. I decided to take your comments and use them wisely in officially making this a Trading Card Pack. As you may notice, I added issue numbers in the top left as well as changing the font to a much clearer, trading card style font. Few more comments needed before I coninue on this to try and finish both TNA and WWE before the end of next week.

Those are bad ass. I really like the new font. Not only is it legible, but it also adds to the trading card feel, as does the numbering. And shrinking the pictures to game size didn't hurt them in any way. This is a unique idea, and well executed. You've got yourself a fan.

As another quick update, I will be taking this pic pack to be an official Trading Card Pack therefore key superstars will in time be made to have a shiny background, though to begin with, for the first beta release it will just be all on normal backgrounds. Just up to Issue Number 6, seeing as I had to redo the other 3 samples to remove the tag. I am going on holiday for a week on Monday coming, therefore no work will be done, but when I return I will strive to have a pack released ASAP.

I need it for burninghamster's mod, I'm tired of not having decent pics!
Whoops, just noticed the error in Abyss's issue number. Ill fix that up to a '2' soon :) I will also remove the 'Remix.GFX' tag from the top right corner for release, it is only there at the moment to save you pinching them :P
Not a complaint or anything, but, you know, any one who's used paint for two days could actually remove the remix tag... I mean, like me! Haha! Never mind me, I'm bored. They look ok, I think I'm too used to what I've used and cut, but, they are interesting, and deserve a place around here.
