  1. Don't know what the fastest is, but if the referee had been closer to the fighters this could've been around 2 secs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKixgoWJBcg Officially it's 4 secs.
  2. I feel stupid Just didn't seem that unlikely to happen
  3. Crazy. He looked so slim at 145. Not even trying 135 first? I'm looking forward to the 125 division. The small fighters are so fast that 9 out of 10 times they put on great fights, so I say the more fights with small guys the better. I really miss WEC <3.
  4. Sunny is such an awesome show. It's so hard to wait for a ne season because the previous season ends in December (I think). Most of the other September-starting-shows end in April/May. I might have to watch the season premiere again. I was pretty drunk when I watched it the first time. I'm sad Entourage is done. That show was phenomenal. I really hope they make a movie.
  5. Indeed. The crowd is awesome. I've only watched about 4 minutes this far, and it's by far my favorite UFC crowd ever.
  6. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that someone had threatened to hurt him. Maybe even kill him. Don't remember where, though. http://mmajunkie.com/news/24937/sonnen-ufc-134-trip-to-support-okami-canceled-due-to-sponsor-intervention-police-threat.mma

I thought FX and Spike would kind of be on the same level. Seems like a really good deal.</p>

Fox I believe is basically in every home with a TV, whereas Spike is part of cable packages. I've heard from people in the US that they're expecting somewhere in the region of 14+ million viewers for their first Fox supercard...does that sound reasonable to anyone? <p> </p><p> Fox and CBS I believe are on a somewhat similar playing field, with CBS being slightly bigger. Someone in the US would probably have a better grasp of that though.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: As for Brock...he had the op at the end of May...going on three months ago. If he was doing an 8 week camp he'd have another month before he'd need to start properly if he were to fight mid-November, two if he was gonna fight late December. Does that seem like a reasonable amount of recovery time?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Does everyone have FX as well, or is that also part of a cable package? 14+ million sounds really good.</p><p> </p><p> It depends on the method of surgery. As far as I know there are two ways to remove the colon, or part it. One method is to make a 2-inch cut in the abdomen and then removing the colon with long instruments with small cameras attached. The other method is a more traditional method where you make a bigger cut in the abdomen (in the 10-15 inch range) and then removing the colon.</p><p> </p><p> The first method is easier on the body and takes less recovery time. If the surgery has been done with this method (and no complications) you can probably go home after 2-3 days. Still, you'll have to relax to avoid a hernia and let the wound heal. Hopefully this is what they did to Brock.</p><p> </p><p> The second method, which is the one I'm basing my experience on, is tougher on the body and takes more recovery time. This method will keep you in the hospital for about a week, and even when you go home you really can't do much for weeks. Even walking is hard.</p><p> </p><p> He will have lost a lot of muscle. His cardio will be a lesser problem, but still a problem. He will definitely have to start training now to be ready for December. If he can get in reasonable shape in the next couple of months, I guess a return is possible. I would strongly advice against it, though. Especially against a fighter like Overeem.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: It also depends on how his condition was before the surgery. Intestinal problem can really drain all your energy. Hopefully he had surgery before things got too bad.</p>
  9. <p>With the experience I have in colonic surgery (I have a lot even though I'm not a doctor), I would say a December return for Brock seems very early. Here's why:</p><p> </p><p> 1. He was probably in a terrible condition before the surgery.</p><p> </p><p> 2. Illness and surgery are very stressful. Both mentally and physically. The additional stress of a training camp won't exactly be helpful.</p><p> </p><p> 3. You're not supposed to lift anything heavy for 2 months after stomach surgery, so he has probably lost a lot of muscle. In fact, carrying less than 10 lbs in each hand is adviced as more can easily cause a hernia.</p><p> </p><p> 4. Your colon is used to absorb water. I've read that he had 12 inches removed, so weight cutting is obviously going to be harder for him. Not sure weight cutting will be necessary for him anymore, though. </p><p> </p><p> If he returns in December and defeats Alistair Overeem, I would have to consider Brock Lesnar my hero and the baddest mf'er alive. Even if I don't like him as a person.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The Fox deal looks good, but I do have a couple of questions. Is being on Fox (just talking about the main channel) as big as being on CBS? Is being on FX as good as being on Spike? Maybe better? Coming from Denmark I don't really know these tings <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I like the fact that they're doing some changes to TUF. It's getting a little dull.</p>
  10. I must admit that I missed that, but doesn't that just add to the fun? I see the point now in banning speedos, but why make a big deal out of it? Why not just ban them from now on and have a little chuckle at Hallman's wardrobe malfunction? It's not like he planned on exposing his balls, or the guy who approved the speedos was saying, "Your balls will totally be exposed. This will be so awesome!". It happened. It was unfortunate, stupid maybe. Let's laugh and move on. Deffinitely don't think he chose that either My point was that just because Sexyama ended up in a position where it would be easier to hit him in the back of his head than in his face, doesn't make it legal to do so. I'm sure that Belfort would've won anyway, but it does seem that the first blow to the back of the head is what actually knocked him out. The punch was illegal and I don't think he should win with an illegal punch. I don't think the timing should determine if it was illegal or not. Belfort could've definitely won with legal methods, he just didn't. I agree that a DQ might be too harsh as we don't know if he hit him in the back of the head on purpose. If he didn't (he probably didn't even if it has happened in 2 of his last 3 fights) I think it should be ruled a no contest. Also, it was the first time he did it in the fight which usually just leads to a warning.
  11. Well, what if Rashad had kneed Tito in the face instead of the stomach? That would only be illegal because Tito chose to sit on his knees. I know the situations differ because there was more action going on in the Belfort/Sexyama situation, but a punch to the back of the head is still illegal. I personally think he should have been DQ'ed, or at the very least given a warning and then the fight should have been a no contest since Sexyama clearly couldn't continue in any way. Also, the fact that he did the same thing against Franklin makes it look less like an accident and more like him just being an *******. Also, I really don't see a problem with Hallman's shorts. I don't see how his shorts were worse than Gustafsson's. I think the UFC should just tell him not to wear those shorts next time (since they apparently see them as a big problem), instead of given a bonus to Ebersole for finishing him. I think Dana White comes off as being rather pathetic saying, "I've never been so embarrassed being in the UFC." Just get over it. It was fun. Overall a great PPV with some fun fights. Rashad vs. Tito was as great as I could've hoped. Really looking forward to 134, but I've been looking forward to that for months now. Versus 5 looks great, too, but I imagine the Brazillian fans will make 134 extra special.
  12. Maybe it would help if you removed that big part on the left? I think that would make it look more like a circle while still looking like blood. Just so you know, I noticed the first time I saw it that it was supposed to be the flag. I think it's a great logo. Very clever idea.
  13. Wow, that is absolutely incredible. Huge difference. Damn.
  14. That would be a really big help. Looking forward to it. Thank you very much.
  15. I tried to change a few things. I made it more metallic and give it more bevelling and embossing than before: Before: http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w295/TheChrisWest/uwrcopy.jpg Now: http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w295/TheChrisWest/UWRWorldtitle2copy-1.jpg I think it looks much better now. It's still not on ReaperR's level. The GDS-Verse belts are absolutely insane. Thanks for all the comments. I can change the logo and the srtap if you want, crayon. BTW, this is the logo for the promotion: http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w295/TheChrisWest/UWRlogo.jpg
