Supreme Entertainment My name is Rob Dixon and it was January 1st when Richard Eisen called me into his office. It was 12.00pm and I was still slightly hung-over from the previous night’s festivities, but that wasn’t the reason I felt sick. Maybe I should explain. When Sam Keith left SWF in the incident famously documented as the “SWF Election Fiasco” there was many shakeups amongst the backstage staff, amongst which was Peter Michaels becoming the Head Booker. As a member of the creative and writing teams my position was, therefore, in jeopardy and this was the reason I felt so nervous while sitting outside Eisen’s office, waiting to be called in. As I walked into his office Richard Eisen stood to shake my hand and offered me a seat. “So, how long have you been on the staff here now Rob?” “Well, it’s been about 2 years now I think, and around a year since I joined the creative team.” I braced myself for the worst. “Ah yes, that’s right. Well I must say I’ve been impressed with your work recently.” Inside, I breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s why I’ve decided to give you the book.” I was astonished but he continued speaking so I didn’t want to interrupt him. “Peter’s promotion to Head Booker was a temporary measure, and he’s fine with that. In fact, he agrees with me that you’re the best man for the job – your recent work has been very impressive.” I composed myself for a second. “Thank you for this opportunity, sir. Thank you so much – I won’t let you down!” Eisen nodded as I was talking. “You don’t have to thank me, you’ve earned it. Just make sure you prove me right. Now, we’re going to have to discuss a few important issues centred on what direction I want the company to be taken in and who you can or cannot hire.” “Well, initially I think we need to expand the roster slightly, and I think we need to hire more workers to send down to RIPW.” “Well I can definitely agree with that, our roster is slightly on the small side; but if you’re going to be hiring workers I don’t want you to sign, or re-sign, anyone who is potentially going to put the safety of other workers in jeopardy. Nor can you sign, or re-sign, anyone who has had trouble with the law – our company doesn’t need that kind of bad publicity. Also, I have two people I want you to give strong pushes to. Within 20 months I want both my son Eric and Enygma to be solid Main Eventers.” “Well that sounds reasonable to me, anything else you have to add before I go? I have a lot of work to do before tomorrow’s show.” “Well just one more thing – I like our product the way it is and in no way, shape or form will I allow you to change it’s focus.” “Ok, no problem sir. Thanks again for this fantastic opportunity! I’ll see you tomorrow before the show.” On that note I stood, shaking his hand, and left to begin my new existence as SWF Head Booker. I definitely had a lot to plan for before tomorrow’s show and I didn’t have any time to waste.

Quick Picks: Steve Frehley vs Remo I'm going with Frehley on this one. To get the highest possible rating out of your january pay per view it makes sense to have him in the Main Event. So I see him getting a push towards the gold. Rich Money vs ??? Hmmm, $100,000 challenge aye? ;) Rich Money to win this one, and build up the challenge a little bit. Marc DuBois vs Valiant I can see you putting the strap on Valiant here. Both men are future stars no doubt. The future of the company in every way, these two will be main eventing the Supreme Challenge in a few years and for many years after that aswell. Having said that, Marc has held the shooting star title for a while while Valiant doesn't have any championship experience and I think this is a good way to get him running with a belt.

SWF Supreme TV Tuesday, Week 1, January 2008 President’s Hall, Puerto Rico Attendance: 5,000 As the opening credits for SWF Supreme TV came to an end and the stage exploded in a colourful display of pyros and explosions, the crowd cheered and waved their signs enthusiastically. The cheers escalated as the theme music of Jack Bruce, SWF World Champion, played throughout the arena and the man himself walked onto the stage. He straightened his title on his shoulder and smiled broadly as the fans applauded his arrival before walking to the ring, high-fiving ringside fans as he went. As he reached the ring Jack was handed a mic by an unseen production worker. He stepped through the ropes and stood centre stage for a few moments to soak up his fans’ adoration before bringing the mic to his lips. “Another year, another fantastic response!” He paused momentarily, as the fans responded resoundingly to his cheap pop, before continuing. “It has been a grand total of 5 months since I ended Runaway Train’s reign of terror and became your SWF Champion! In this time I have faced the very best SWF has to offer and I’m still on top. Nobody has been able to force my shoulders to the mat for a 3 count and take this title from me...and this is a trend that I can guarantee will be continuing into 2008. This is for one simple reason...because I am SWF’s best, the cream of the crop and this title damn well proves it!” Jack Bruce, much to the audience’s chagrin, was then interrupted as Brandon James’ music played and he, alongside manager Emma Chase, walked through the curtain. Chase had a microphone in her hand and wasted no time in using it as she interrupted Bruce’s flow. “Wait just a damn minute!” The crowd booed loudly and Chase waited until they quietened down before she continued, scowling as she did so. “You may in fact be the best SWF has to offer but you have never beaten DAVE’s finest, my man, ‘Big Money’ Brandon James and you never will!” Jack Bruce smiled slightly to himself before responding. “How about ‘your man’ grows a pair and moseys on down to the ring to speak for himself and attempt to prove you right?! And trust me when I say this...an attempt is as far as it will go.” Bruce dropped his mic and Brandon James made to rush down to the ring to confront the champ but Emma Chase placed a hand on his chest, preventing him from making any rash moves. She then proceeded to respond to Bruce’s comments. “Yeah, you’d like that wouldn’t you? Well, Mr. Bruce, not everything in this federation happens on your terms. All you need to know, for now, is that the time you have to wear that shiny belt around your waist is severely limited...enjoy it while you can.” On that note Emma Chase and Brandon James walked back through the curtain, leaving Jack Bruce stood in the ring. From that point onwards he remained on top until Lobster Warrior channelled the rampant support from the crowd into a fight back. He appeared to be succeeding until Sexy connected with his One Night Stand to earn himself an important 3 count. Winner: Joe Sexy Rating: B The cameras then cut to the backstage area where Marc DuBois was stood facing the camera, his Shooting Star Title strapped around his waist. “This is one of the most sought after championships on the face of this planet and that, as a result of me being champion, makes me a target for every single wannabe in this entire promotion. So, I decided to get myself some protection. I went out and I found the baddest man in the entire of the SWF to have my back, let me introduce you all to my new bodyguard...” “...Big Smack Scott!” Scott walked into shot and simply stood behind DuBois, looking angry. Neither man managed to gain a significant advantage with the momentum going back and forth between them both. The match came to an end when Valiant began to build some momentum but was halted by a shot to the back from Big Smack Scott, giving DuBois enough time to gather his senses and connect with the Marc of Excellence to retain his title. The match came to an abrupt end when Elmo Benson was able to hit Knuckles with a Shockwave From Next Year for the pinfall. Winners: High Concept (Elmo Benson) Rating: D+ After the match the tag team champions, The Amazing Bumfholes, ran down the ring with their titles in tow. They held out their hands to the wary-looking High Concept but proceeded to nail them with the belts as they made to accept the gesture. After beating down High Concept some more Randy gestured for a microphone. “You two are exactly what is wrong with SWF! You act like everything is a joke and a laugh and you even seem to think you’re in some kind of video game. Well it’s time to wake up and smell the reality, jokers get nowhere in this world. This is what my brother and I have come to realise, we’re the tag team champions for god’s sake and do we get the respect we do deserve?! Do we hell!” He tosses the mic to Zimmy, who is wearing a wide smirk on his face. “We are not here for you amusement, we are not some kind of sideshow, we’re the whole damn show and it’s time people treated us with the respect we deserve. This is why we’re dropping the comedy name! From this day forward people will speak in awe of that legendary tag team, The Morgan Brothers – Randy and Zach Morgan! A new era of tag team wrestling has arrived in SWF...the era of the brothers Morgan!” Rating: C- Rich Money’s $100,000 Challenge The crowd booed profusely as Rich Money strutted ****ily down to the ring, a briefcase in his hand and his title around his waist. As he entered the ring he grabbed a mic from the ring announcer. He placed the briefcase on a small table in the centre of the ring before speaking. “It’s pretty much a universal fact that I, Rich Money, am the finest wrestler – past or present – to ever grace the SWF Roster. In fact I am so confident in my ability that in this briefcase I have $100,000 dollars for anyone in the back who thinks they have what it takes to beat me. All they’ve got to do is either pin my shoulders to the mat for a 3 count or force me to submit. Now, does anybody back there have the stones to take on SWF’s finest athlete?!” Enygma’s music hit and he received a large pop from the audience who proceeded to chant his name, as well as a highly imaginative “Kick his ass!” chant. Unexpectedly, Remo came charging out through the curtain to assault Enygma from behind. He proceeded to beat Enygma down viciously, dragging him to the ring to allow Rich Money to join in with the assault. Rating: B- Rich Money vs. Enygma With Enygma beaten down and in no shape to compete Rich Money signalled for the match to begin and a referee joined him in the ring in time for him to hit the Bank Roll and pin Enygma for the 1, 2, 3. Winner: Rich Money Rating: C After the match Rich money continued to beat down the defenceless Enygma as the crowd booed him venomously. He then proceeded to mount Engyma, tearing at his face until he was able to rip his mask off before holding it aloft in pride. Enygma quickly covered his face with his hands and rolled out of the ring, covering his identity as he fled to the back. In the ring Rich Money continued to hold the mask aloft like a trophy. Rating: C+ The camera then cut to a live feed from Christian Faith’s home. He had a large bandage on his forehead and he seemed to be wincing every time he adjusted his position. There was a definite fire in his eyes as he stared into the camera and uttered the words... “Vengeance, I’m coming for you!” The crowd popped loudly, forcing Faith to pause before continuing. “Did you really think you’d be able to get away with attacking me and putting me on the shelf?! If, and trust me when I say this, I was medically cleared then I would be there right know kicking your ass! Well you can bet your bottom dollar that the minute I’m allowed I’ll be back in that ring doing what I do best. In this business you don’t get to where I have for rolling over for every bully who gets in your way and you are not the first, and you won’t be the last, talentless scumbag to come my way. You, like all the rest, will be duly dispatched by yours truly and left to fade away into nothingness where you belong!” Rating: B Steve Frehley vs. Remo In a match between a former world champion and a man touted as a future world champion there was very little to choose between either. Frehley started out the stronger of the two but it wasn’t long before he was pegged back by Remo via a Yakuza Kick to the face which knocked Frehley silly. This led to numerous near falls on the part of Remo but Frehley refused to give in and came back with a strong flurry of offense. Unfortunately, when Frehley went for Dark Destroyer Spear he connected with the referee when Remo sidestepped it. That was when Eric Eisen unexpectedly came charging down the ramp, steel chair in hand, and proceeded to lay Frehley out. By the time the referee was revived Frehley was laid unconscious in the centre of the ring and Remo had no trouble in covering him for the pinfall. Winner: Remo Rating: B After the match Eric Eisen stepped into the ring, where Steve Frehley was still unconscious, with a microphone in one hand and the steel chair he used during his attack in the other. He stood over Frehley’s prone body with a sick smirk on his face before speaking. “Well I guess you’re wondering what’s going on aren’t ya Steve? Well let me fill you in – I am going to be world champion and what better way to put everyone on notice about this fact than to destroy a former world champion?! When I’ve finished making an example out of you the entire world will know just how damn good I am!” Eric threw down the mic, a look of sheer contempt on his face, and strutted off as the crowd rained down a chorus of boos on him. After the Show As I walked backstage I was feeling positive about how the show. We managed to sew some good seeds for the storylines we wanted push and the fans’ reactions showed that they were receptive to what we were doing. I was particularly pleased with the amount of heat Marc DuBois got while announcing Big Smack Scott as his bodyguard, the kid could definitely develop into a real star. My mood, however, dropped as I entered the locker room to find Brandon James and my referee Ric Young having to be kept apart. “What the hell is going on?” As I asked I knew I’d made a mistake as both Ric and Brandon started yelling their respective sides of the story. “Shut up!” I turned to Christian Faith as it’s widely known he’s respected backstage and I trusted him to give me an unbiased picture. “Well, basically, Brandon pulled a prank on Ric. He didn’t respond too kindly and it took a few of the guys to keep them apart.” I sighed and called Brandon over. “Look, I can understand that you might have thought it was funny to play whatever prank you did on Ric but, clearly, he thought differently. Now, I’ll put this simply – I won’t accept this kind of behaviour. We don’t need problems backstage as it will eventually affect the show quality and that, in the end, is what is important!” “Sorry boss, I’ll try not to let it happen again.” “Make sure you do.” On that note I left the locker room, they needed to work out their problems without watching over them.

Sunday, Week 1, January 2008 It had been a hectic week for me, meeting with numerous wrestling talents in order to secure their signature on an SWF contract. Our roster was undersized so I knew it was essential to sign people who could join up to the main roster straight away, the following are the guys I decided fitted the bill well enough. Champagne Lover – A huge star in Mexico and an undoubted in-ring talent Champagne Lover is also a man with fantastic mic skills and the undeniable “it factor” required in order to become a star. A perfect edition to the SWF roster, and a man I felt had what it takes to rise all the way to the top. Davis Wayne Newton – A man getting rave reviews for his work with 4C and someone I certainly felt qualified as talented enough to be a part of SWF. At 20 he was already great in the ring and with much potential to improve the sky truly was the limit, if I hadn’t signed him up the competition surely would have. James Prudence – A man my booking team had been pushing for me to sign and an undeniable talent who made a great heel. I couldn’t see stars in his future but he certainly slotted well into my roster and, with a bit of work, could become an extremely useful member of it too. Joss Thompson – A man with good in-ring skills and mic skills to match he could play both heel or face effectively and, in my opinion, was being wasted on the UK scene where he would receive little exposure. It also helped that he had a great in-ring presence and seemed every bit a star when he stepped into the squared circle. His only drawback was his, frankly, bland look but the positives definitely outweighed that negative, making him worthy of a slot on the SWF roster. Mighty Fine – Both Darryl Devine and Jacob Jett were both prospects I felt had all the tools to go far in this industry. The bonus that they work as a good tag team, and me needing more teams to add interest into my division, ensured that they went straight onto the main roster instead of being sent to development until I had something for them. On top of signing up people straight to the main roster I knew it was extremely important to sign up some future prospects on developmental contracts. They would be able to hone their skills in RIPW and, hopefully, impress me enough in doing so that they would get their call-up to the main roster. Plus, in signing up these unpolished diamonds I would hopefully find the next big thing and create the next wave of big stars to ensure SWF stayed on top for many years to come. The following are the workers I hoped would be just that. Gargantuan – While not anything special in the ring and with a reputation for being a pain to work with Gargantuan still had, in my mind, the qualities to become a star. His size made him a perfect monster heel and he had definite potential. If he could develop his in-ring skills down at RIPW he could be a future star. Greg Rayne – While not a new signing I decided Greg had potential but not enough actual ability to back it up. I decided a stint in development could help him improve and, hopefully, prove to me he’s worth his spot on the roster. Kirk Jameson – A man highlighted by my booking team as someone to watch out for in the future so, naturally, I signed him up to a developmental contract in the hopes he would improve enough to become a valuable member of my roster. Mainstream Hernandez – A man I’d been watching since his MAW days I’d always been a fan of Mainstream’s so I decided to give him a shot. Personally I thought he wasn’t quite ready for the main roster yet but a stint in developmental should get him there. Remmy Skye – A man with off-the-charts charisma and a real connection with the fans he was definitely hard to ignore. His flashy, high flying style also captured the fans’ imaginations and I decided that if he worked on becoming a more rounded worker he could become a true player in SWF. Steve Flash – A true journeyman and brilliant in-ring talent I, of course, didn’t sign Steve to a developmental contract in the hopes he would improve and be promoted to the main roster. No, Steve was the man I hired to become a trainer down in RIPW and help mould my future stars. Steven Parker – The term “future of the business” isn’t mentioned about just anybody so no matter who you are you had to take Parker seriously. Massive potential but not quite polished enough to become a member of the main roster. I, nonetheless, had great hopes for Steven. Swoop McCarthy – Hailed as the future of Australian wrestling, Swoop had all the tools to become a star. He had great charisma, that indescribable star quality and decent in-ring skills. Naturally, his in-ring game needed to improve before I could use him properly but at 19 I was convinced he had a bright future ahead of him.
