Very good show. I'm glad the Fallen Angel is back and Sting aligning with Trigg and Angle intrigues me although I'm pissed Angle is champion again.
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed the show and I hope you'll continue reading and commenting. There is a definite reason for Angle winning the title which you will see in the next show.

PREVIEW! Kurt Angle walked away from TNA's No Surrender with the TNA World Heavyweight Title around his waist and seemingly a new friend in Sting! Just what will Kurt have to say tonight after winning the TNA Title? The feud between Sting and Samoa Joe is heating up as evidenced by the attack by Sting on Joe at No Surrender. We have learned that Sting will be taking on Joe at Bound For Glory this year. What will either of them have to say about their upcoming match? Rhino dominated the tag encounter last night but ended up on the losing end after Goring his tag team partner. Tonight, he takes on Tomko. Will the War Machine get back on the winning track? Also L.A.X. will make their return to the ring tonight, taking on winners from last night: The Rock 'N Rave Infection! Quick Picks! L.A.X. vs. The Rock 'N Rave Infection Team 3D vs. The Motor City Machine Guns Stevie Richards debuts vs. Super Eric Tomko vs. Rhino Plus more matches that haven't been shown just yet!

Monday Week 4 September 2008 Location: McKethan Stadium - Florida Attendance: 5,000 Overall Rating: B TV Rating: 1.72

The show opens up with Mike Tenay and Don West welcoming everyone to Total Nonstop Action iMPACT! after a successful No Surrender PPV that resulted in a brand new TNA World Heavyweight Champion! Speaking of that TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle's music plays as red, white and blue confetti falls from the ceiling and Kurt steps out looking very proud and soaking in the boos from this crowd. He turns to manager Frank Trigg and shakes his hand before they both head out to the ring and step inside. Kurt has the TNA World Title around his waist. Kurt Angle I told each and every one of you TNA wrestling fans that the Wrestling Machine Kurt Angle was going to go into No Surrender and walk out as the TNA World Heavyweight Champion and take a look at what happened. I am on this edition of iMPACT! and I have the TNA World Title around my waist. That's real. That's DAMN REAL! Each and every night I come out here and I put my body on the line every time I wrestle. There were people who said I was washed up. There were people who said I shouldn't be inside this ring. Well, I proved them wrong at No Surrender when I beat three other men for the TNA World Title. Now, I am looking at Bound For Glory and my first title defense. And there is only one man who I can see that's worthy of a title shot. That man is... AJ Styles Whoa, whoa, whoa Kurt! AJ Styles steps out from the back and stands at the top of the entrance ramp to a big pop. AJ Styles Before you go talking about who's going to get the title shot at Bound For Glory, we have a little unfinished business to take care of. You won the TNA World Heavyweight Title at No Surrender. That's great but you and that punk beside you cost me my shot at the title. So why don't you make that first title defense against me? Kurt Angle It seems to me that you lost your match, AJ. You got beat by Rob Van Dam, if I'm not mistaken. What makes you think that you, in any way, deserve a shot at this title? AJ Styles I'll make it real simple, Kurt, so that even you can understand. TNA's Bound For Glory AJ Styles versus Kurt Angle for the TNA World Heavyweight Title in a Ladder Match! Hanging suspended above the ring will be a case with both the TNA World Title belt and my Olympic Gold Medals that I won with winner takes all. What do you say, Kurt? Kurt Angle I'll tell you what, you little snot nosed punk. You seem ready for a match tonight. Tonight, we'll have a little pick your poison match. I pick your opponent and I'll let you pick mine. If you win, you get your match at Bound For Glory. But if you lose, then not only do you not get your match at Bound For Glory, but you have to give me back MY gold medals. What do you think about that, huh? AJ Styles Pick your poison? It sounds pretty good, Kurt. You're on. Tonight, I will face whoever you want me to. And I already have your opponent picked out. AJ smiles and gives the double thumb point as Kurt goes crazy inside the ring. AJ turns and walks to the back. So it's going to be AJ Styles and Kurt Angle in a pick your poison battle, picking each other's opponents!

vs. L.A.X. vs. The Rock and Rave Infection The Latin American Xchange's first tag team encounter since the attack by Beer Money was a dominating one. Christy Hemme's team of the Rock and Rave Infection was coming off a win at No Surrender but couldn't muster up a lot of offense against the L.A.X. It was also learned during the match that the Xchange would be receiving a TNA World Tag Team Title shot at Bound for Glory! Hernandez got the pin on Lance Rock, following a Dominator. Winners: Latin American Xchange Match Rating: D

The cameras focus backstage where Kevin Nash is seen walking. He comes across Samoa Joe and pats him on the back. Kevin Nash Good match last night, kid. You just came up a little short at the end. Samoa Joe Is that supposed to be some kind of crack, Kevin? Kevin Nash Whoa there, big man. I didn't come here to start a fight. Samoa Joe I thought you had my back, Kevin. But week after week you've stood by and let people attack me from behind. Well, it's always nice to know where you stand. And maybe next time you'll attack me from the front instead of letting other people do your dirty work. Samoa Joe pushes past a bemused and thoughtful Kevin Nash, who seems to be wondering just what Joe is implying.

vs. Team 3D vs. The Motor City Machine Guns Another match that people were looking forward to as Team 3D came off a win at No Surrender while the MCMG came up just short in their attempt to unseat Beer Money. A very good yet short back and forth paced matchup. Both teams came off looking good in this match and it came down to a mistake by Team 3D, leading to a noggin knocker by Chris Sabin on Team 3D and a rollup on Brother Devon to get the upset three count! Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns Match Rating: C

Backstage, Kurt Angle runs into Sting. Kurt Angle Hey Icon. I can only think of one better man to hold it. Kurt Angle You'll get your chance, I'm sure. Remember what we talked about earlier, Stinger? We just need to execute and you might get your shot sooner than later. Sting You got it, Kurt. It's showtime! Sting and Kurt Angle shake hands. Just what do they have planned?

vs. Stevie Richards vs. Super Eric The crowd gave a mixed reaction to the TNA debut of Stevie Richards. He's returned back to his goofy self here tonight but had a good match against Super Eric. Stevie looked good in the match, trying to match the flying exploits of Super Eric and ended up nailing him with a StevieKick to get the pinfall. Winner: Stevie Richards Match Rating: D-

The crowd booed as Booker T made his way out to the ring. Booker did NOT look very happy, sliding inside the ring with a microphone in hand. Booker T I have come out here for one reason and one reason only: Jeff Jarrett! Sucka, you better listen up here! How dare you come out during MY match at No Surrender and attack me from behind. What kind of a coward are you? I am a wrestling ICON. You are nothing but a wrestling fraud. So why don't you come out here right now and face me man to man and look me in my eyes. I'm begging you, Jeff! You need me to turn my back for you to get out here? Fine! Booker turns his back to the entrance ramp. Booker T I'm waiting, Jeff. Come on, Jeff. You know what? That's what I thought. Sucka's got no guts. Booker shakes his head and walks off. Just where IS Jeff Jarrett?

vs. Tomko vs. Rhino The big man, Tomko, taking on the War Machine Rhino in this one on one bout. Tomko was the fresher man of the two and took the advantage early but Rhino just seemed to run through every hit that Tomko put on him and continued to move forward! Rhino just Gored everyone at No Surrender and he continued that trend here tonight as he gave Tomko a Gore and got the pinfall victory. Winner: Rhino Match Rating: D+

The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels is shown arriving at the arena! Maybe he can explain just what happened at No Surrender and how he was under the mask as Curry Man! Daniels walks down the parking garage until someone steps out to face him. It's....Raven! Raven goes eye to eye with Christopher Daniels. Raven outstretches his arms, making Christopher Daniels **** a brow --- STEVIEKICK OUT OF NOWHERE! Daniels hits a car and Stevie puts a hood over Daniels' head! Raven You will feel my pain. Quote the Raven...NEVERMORE! Raven gives a few shots on Daniels and he and Stevie stuff the Fallen Angel into the trunk of a car and get in and drive away!

In another part of the building Sting is seen stretching and warming up. Could he be the man that Kurt Angle chose to take on AJ Styles? Wait a second, a chairshot to the back of Sting's head! It's Samoa Joe! Joe hits Sting with another chairshot, bringing Sting to the ground! The ICON wasn't expecting this! Coquina Clutch on Sting and Samoa Joe is choking Sting out! If Sting was Kurt Angle's choice then Kurt is in a lot of trouble!

AJ Styles heads out to the ring and slides inside, stretching against the ropes as he waits to see just who his opponent is going to be. Several moments go by and no one comes out. Finally, someone does come from the back. It's Scott Hall and Eric Bischoff! The crowd boos as Scott Hall seems to be AJ Styles' mystery opponent! Hall starts out the match brawling early with AJ Styles. Hall definitely has the advantage in brawling and AJ was more than likely preparing for Sting and not Scott Hall. During the early portion of the match, Hall tosses Styles outside the ring and Bischoff gets in a few shots before tossing Styles back inside for Hall to get a 2 count. The crowd work on Hall, making him play to them just a little bit but that distracts him from the task at hand, giving AJ Styles some time to breathe. AJ takes that time and begins to mount his comeback, much to the chagrin of Eric Bischoff outside the ring and Kurt Angle in the back. AJ Styles gets the crowd fired up, knocking Eric Bischoff off the apron and turning back to Hall. Styles gets Hall set up and nails him with the Styles Clash! AJ Styles makes the cover: 1...2...3! And we have our Bound For Glory main event! Winner: AJ Styles Match Rating: C+

vs. Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam Kurt Angle came out first along with Frank Trigg and cut a quick promo about Rob Van Dam before Van Dam interrupted it with his music and the sound of Bill Alfonso whistling. Van Dam ran down to the ring and the match was on! Van Dam hit a double leg takedown on Kurt and then began to punch away at him! Angle reversed it and held Van Dam pinned to the mat for a 1 count. Angle got back up and whipped Van Dam to the ropes. Angle dropped his head and Van Dam flipped over him, getting a quick roll-up: 1...2...kickout! The early-going of the match was definitely back and forth until Frank Trigg tripped Van Dam from the outside behind the referee's back, giving Angle the advantage. Angle raked at Van Dam's face and then tossed him outside the ring where Trigg got in a few more shots before running Van Dam toward the ring post! Van Dam got a foot up to block it and put Frank Trigg into the post! Van Dam slid back into the ring and some good technical back and forth wrestling ensued between him and Angle. Watch out for those fast kicks by Van Dam! The kicks sent Angle outside the ring and Van Dam bounced off the ropes, hitting Angle with a somersault splash to the outside! Van Dam looked hot and gave the double thumb point! Van Dam tossed Angle back inside the ring and moved toward the turnbuckles. Frank Trigg got up by this point and yelled at Van Dam, grabbing Bill Alfonso and threatening to hit him! Van Dam turned his attention to Frank Trigg and didn't see Angle get up inside the ring! Angle ran up the turnbuckles --- Belly to Belly Superplex! Kurt Angle tosses down the straps and moves over toward Van Dam, lifting him up --- ANGLE SLAM!! Kurt Angle makes the cover: 1...2...3! Kurt Angle gets the win! Winner: Kurt Angle Match Rating: B Following the match, AJ Styles comes out from the back wearing Kurt's Olympic Gold Medals! AJ motions that he wants the belt as well and Kurt yells at him from the ring as the show goes off the air.

We hope to hear from you by the end of the night.

vs. The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Motor City Machine Guns Four young wrestlers open up the show here tonight as the MCMG take on The Briscoes in the Briscoes' debut match here in TNA. The crowd was really into the contest and the back and forth wrestling really made the Motor City Machine Guns look good in this contest. A lot of people seemed to know who the Briscoe Brothers are, which helped elevate this contest even further. Alex Shelley got the pinfall on Mark Briscoe following an ASCS Rush! Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns Match Rating: C- Following the match, all four wrestlers stepped forward and shook hands, signifying an excellent contest. The show of sportsmanship really had the crowd cheering and they began chanting 'TNA, TNA, TNA!' since you won't see anything like this in that other organization. Following the handshake, the cameras went backstage showing Shane Douglas watching the match on one of the monitors while rubbing his chin. He nods and flashes a smile before walking off.

vs. Raven vs. Shark Boy Before the match, a video is shown showing the efforts of Raven and Stevie Richards in capturing Christopher Daniels last week with Mike Tenay and Don West speculating on what might have happened to Daniels during this week. Then we cut to the ring where Shark Boy has a microphone. Shark Boy Alright now, Raven, you sorry sumbitch! Get your ass out here so I can stomp a fishing hole in ya! Your boy may have beaten Super Eric but you ain't never faced anyone like Shark Boy! Remember Shark Boy 24:7 says I just bit your ass! And THAT'S the fishing line cause Shark Boy said so! Shark Boy paces inside the ring as Raven and Stevie Richards walk out. Raven Stevie, get him! Stevie Richards rushes to the ring and a battle ensues inside with traded rights and lefts! A bell sounds and it looks like Stevie Richards is going to be facing Shark Boy instead of Raven! Another back and forth matchup here, even moreso than it was last week with Super Eric. Shark Boy started to get the advantage but then the referee got knocked out! This allowed Raven to slide inside behind Shark Boy! Shark Boy was getting ready for the Stunner on Stevie but Raven turns him around --- Raven Effect DDT! Raven extends his arms out on either side in the cross formation before helping Stevie Richards to his feet. He grabs Shark Boy and holds him up --- STEVIEKICK! Stevie makes a cover as Raven brings the referee over: 1...2...3! Raven and Stevie Richards get a cheap one here! Winner: Stevie Richards Match Rating: D+

The cameras cut backstage to a nearly empty room where Christopher Daniels is seated and tied up upon a chair. Daniels has multiple bruises and two black eyes and looks generally bad with his head lowered as he sits there, struggling to get free. Christopher looks up and his eyes go wide as someone comes from off-camera and slams into Christopher Daniels' head with a chair! The man turns toward the camera and gives a goofy smile... MICK FOLEY!?!?! Mick looks down toward Christopher Daniels and hits him in the head with the chair again and Daniels may have passed out here! Mick Foley Don't go dying on me yet, Christopher! They call you the Fallen Angel? Well, you are going to learn to follow one leader and that is the man that I have followed for years. Raven, this one is for you! Mick slams the chair into Christopher Daniels' head again and extends his arms in the cross formation. Mick Foley BANG! BANG!

The cameras turn to another area backstage where Kevin Nash is standing, ready to cut a promo. Kevin Nash Hey uh Scott, I heard your manager out here talking earlier about challenging Big Sexy for a match at Bound For Glory. I don't know why you'd want to do that, Scott. I brought you back here. I put myself on the line for you. I put my own reputation on the line bringing you back here and you have Eric Bischoff challenge me to a match on your behalf inside the six sides of steel? I'll tell you what, Scott, I'll accept your challenge and I'll put you back on the sidelines where you belong. How about that, huh?

A video is shown to promote the return of Kaz to in-ring action next week for the first time since he left TNA three months ago!

vs. NON-TITLE Angelina Love vs. Josie A non-title Knockouts match here tonight featuring the Knockouts Champion Angelina Love against the still newcomer Josie. They didn't seem to click at all inside the ring and the fans could sense it and really didn't care for the match. When Josie got the advantage, Velvet Sky and Kip James helped Angelina Love out. Love got the pinfall following a Lights Out. Winner: Angelina Love Match Rating: E-

vs. WINNER GETS AN X-DIVISION TITLE SHOT AT BOUND FOR GLORY Rob Van Dam vs. Sonjay Dutt Before the match, Rob Van Dam and Bill Alfonso had these comments to make. Rob Van Dam Hey Fonsie tonight I am going to be taking on Sonjay Dutt. Just who in the world is he? Bill Alfonso I don't know, daddy, but I'm sure you can beat him! Rob Van Dam That's right, Fonsie! I have faced some of the top superstars in the world, not just here in the United States but over in Japan as well and they send me Sonjay Dutt? Doesn't he know who I am? I'm Rob...Van...Dam! And tonight is going to be no sweat! Back inside the arena, RVD makes his entrance with Bill Alfonso and Sonjay Dutt drags So Cal Val out to the ring and tells her to stand in his corner. This was definitely more of a match than Rob Van Dam bargained for as it had some good back and forth action with Sonjay Dutt securing some near falls early but Rob Van Dam firing back. Van Dam missed on a split-legged moonsault, giving Dutt the advantage back. Sonjay Dutt came back and got Van Dam set up for the Hindu Press and had his back turned as Jay Lethal came running out from the back. So Cal Val jumped on the apron to get the referee's attention! Jay Lethal jumped on the apron and pushed Sonjay Dutt off the turnbuckle to the mat! While So Cal Val continued to distract the referee, Jay Lethal climbed the turnbuckle himself and hit the flying elbow on Sonjay Dutt! Lethal worked to revive Rob Van Dam before sliding out of the ring while So Cal Val dropped from the apron. Rob got to his feet and saw Dutt laid out so he moved to the top turnbuckle, did a double thumb point, and leaped --- FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Van Dam holds his belly for a moment and then makes the cover: 1...2...3! Rob Van Dam is going to Bound For Glory! Winner: Rob Van Dam Match Rating: C Following the win, Petey Williams came running down to the ring and cracked Van Dam in the back of the head with the TNA X-Division Title! Williams lifts Van Dam up --- CANADIAN DESTROYER!! Van Dam is down and out! But Petey isn't done! The Maple Leaf Muscle climbs the turnbuckle and gives a double thumb point before leaping --- FROG SPLASH! What an insult to injury!

Mike Tenay says they need to go backstage right now and boy do they! As they head back there, Samoa Joe and Sting are trading punches in the backstage area! These two men will be partners later tonight and here they are brawling! They push past a door and several women come running out! It's the women's restroom! Sting slams Samoa Joe's head into one of the stall doors! Samoa Joe fights back, tossing Sting into the mirror, shattering the glass! Several security officials come out to break things up as best they can but this is out of control!

vs. Christian Cage vs. Booker T A semi main event here as Booker T comes out with his wife Sharmell and Christian Cage comes out alone for this contest. Another evenly paced matchup with Christian controlling things in the early-going while Booker T makes his comeback with the help of his wife watching things from the outside. Several times, Booker T uses his wife at ringside to keep Christian from hitting him and using her as a distraction for Christian to regain control. Late in the bout, Rhino comes out to the ringside area and walks around toward Sharmell! Everyone has seen that Rhino doesn't mind hitting a woman as evidenced by TNA's No Surrender. Sharmell looks scared as Rhino chases her around the ringside area before she climbs in the ring and Rhino chases her in there! Referee Rudy Charles works to get Sharmell out of the ring as Rhino turns his attention to Booker T, who just sees him! Booker's eyes go wide as Rhino charges --- GORE! GORE! GORE! --- MISSED! Rhino just gored Christian Cage out of his boots accidentally! Rhino rolls out of the ring, shaking his head like 'what have I done?' Booker seizes the moment and nails the Scissor's Kick on Christian, making the cover: 1...2...3! Winner: Booker T Match Rating: C+ Booker and Sharmell make a quick exit as Rhino steps in the ring to explain things to Christian. Christian Cage is slow to get to his feet even with Rhino helping him up. Rhino turns his back and then back toward Christian. Rhino grabs Christian and lifts him up --- RHINO DRIVER! The crowd is in shock and boos Rhino as Rhino beats his chest over the fallen body of Christian Cage! Why oh why has Rhino turned on his friend???

vs. NEXT WEEK IN ACTION! JAY LETHAL VS. SONJAY DUTT!

vs. Samoa Joe and Sting vs. Kurt Angle and AJ Styles Sting made his way down to the ring first and there was no Samoa Joe to be seen! Just what has happened to his partner? The TNA World Champion Kurt Angle came out with Frank Trigg and then out came AJ Styles in what appears to be a handicap match! Kurt and AJ argued over who was going to get the start until AJ decked Kurt with a right hand and then went over to battle Sting. Sting took an early start to this one and tried to get it over quickly but AJ Styles would have none of it! Styles started to get the advantage and Kurt yelled for a tag but AJ Styles would do no such thing! Styles and Sting battled for the majority of the early-going of the bout until Sting accidentally whipped Styles into his own corner and Kurt Angle tagged himself in. The fresh TNA World Champion began wearing the ICON down a little easier than AJ had it. Kurt hit several German Suplexes on Sting and got a two count. During this time, Samoa Joe came out from the back, staggering toward the ring, bleeding from the forehead! Joe slowly climbed onto the apron and reached for a tag. A double clothesline was hit by Sting and Kurt Angle and both men floundered on the mat for several seconds before moving toward their corners. Sting tagged in Joe but Kurt shook his head toward AJ Styles! AJ pointed behind Kurt and Samoa Joe went to work with a kick to the gut and a fallaway slam! Frank Trigg paced around ringside for a few moments as Joe continued his attack on the TNA World Champion! Finally, Trigg had had enough and he climbed on the apron, getting Samoa Joe's attention! Samoa Joe walked toward him after lifting Kurt Angle. AJ Styles came around and nailed Trigg off the apron! Joe just smiled and turned back toward Angle --- ANGLE SLAM! Kurt Angle hit the Angle Slam out of nowhere! He makes the cover: 1... 2... 3!!! Kurt Angle and AJ Styles win it! What a way to end iMPACT! Winners: Kurt Angle and AJ Styles Match Rating: B

I'm Jeremy Borash and we have a lot to get into today so let's get right to it. This week, we have had several talents decide to hang up the boots and retire. Lexie Fyfe of Shimmer fame decided to quit and two true legeneds in our business: The Great Sasuke from Japan and The Hardcore Legend Terry Funk also decided to call it quits. We wish all of them the best of luck in their future endeavors right here from TNA wrestling. Several of our own talent agreed to contract extentions this week, including referee Andrew Thomas, TNA Knockouts Champion Angelina Love and Jim Cornette! I wonder what Cornette signed himself to? And finally there were two major releases made to help TNA Wrestling. The first is ring announcer David Penzer and the second may come as a shock to some and some may appreciate it: Vince Russo has been released from his TNA contract. Thank you for watching TNA Weekly! I'm Jeremy... Team 3D walk over toward JB. Brother Ray Hey Jeremy! Why don't you take a swim? Both members of Team 3D grab the lounge that Jeremy Borash is sitting on, tossing his microphone and any other electronic equipment away and then dump him into the pool to end the segment.
