Antonio Marquez vs Sean Deeley vs Zimmy Bumfhole The more estabilished guy of the three Gino Montero vs Joss Thompson vs Chris Morrisette Same as above Angry Gilmore vs Ace Newton vs Art Reed Same as above and above Marc DuBois + The Heartbreakers (Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs High Concept + Jacob Jett Gotta keep them heel groupies looking good Robbie & Swoop vs Sin Inc Can't see Swoop and Retro picking a win here The Almighty Dollar vs The New Wave I expect the New Wave to give Money and Remo a run for their....well...money. But there's no way the two biggest players in the Supreme Brand will lose here, New Wave or not Jack Bruce vs Randy Bumfhole - #1 Contender Match Seems the more obvious choice to me, the most most over workers facing for the gold at Welcome to the Jungle, but I wouldn't be THAT surprised if Randy got the win. all in all I can't wait for Welcome to the Jungle, I hope you have fun and games in store.

Was surprised to see all the predictions on here this morning. Great to see. Thanks guys.
The Almighty Dollar vs The New Wave I personally would have held off on this match for a few weeks and given the New Wave a win streak over some lower calibre teams, as I can't see you giving them the debut win over two of your most over main eventers. The loss will be a tainted one though, so they don't completely look like a couple of numpties on their switch to the supreme brand.
I definitely thought about leaving this one for a bit. Maybe building up to a bit. But I didn't want to emphasize it too much, to make it come across like another feud when Remo and Money are both already involved in main feuds. I think (hope) what I'm doing will work in storyline terms as well. My hope is that it will work for all four in that regard. I also wanted to make sure this card felt pretty "big", as its leading into the PPV. I figured a match of this caliber would definitely help it.
So am I, you're doing a great job with this diary, I'm really turning into a Money mark with the way you're portraying him.

all in all I can't wait for Welcome to the Jungle, I hope you have fun and games in store.
Thanks. I'm really trying to build towards the pay per views now, rather than just having them be a longer version of the TV show with bigger matches. I think that's what I was doing earlier in the diary, and it made the PPVs feel like no big deal. The Supreme Challenge taught me that build towards the PPV makes the show itself feel like a payoff, even when it mostly is just continuing feuds rather than ending most of them.
The Supreme Challenge taught me that build towards the PPV makes the show itself feel like a payoff.
I think you've done a pretty damn good job making the PPV's into events, my friend. I'm catching up with my favorites diaries of late and must say that this is great, Bigpapa. It used to be (to me anyway) that the real strength of this diary was the thought of the day-type entries, but I think that your shows have closed the gap in good shape. Keep up the good work. :)

Still developing some of the characters - it seems weird, given how far I am into the diary now, but this is my first attempt at one of these. Just hoping that I can keep the up the quality on that Random Thought segments as well. As for the next show, I'm working on it at the moment. Hope to have it posted either later today or sometime tomorrow.

I'm Peter Michaels. With me tonight are Jerry Eisen the legend himself, The Guru. The Guru: Indeed. Jerry Eisen: In-what?
Chris Morrisette Locker Room Segment Chris Morrisette is in a small private locker room, unpacking a bag of gear. The former Lobster Warrior is dressed in street clothes. He digs stuff out of his duffel bag and tosses it on the bench. A large red claw comes out of the bag and is quickly stuffed back in. Morrisette then hears something at the door, wheeling around like he's expecting a fight. Instead, its Angry Gilmore and Jessie at the door. Angry Gilmore + Jessie Angry Gilmore: You moving in, Chris? Chris Morrisette: Feels like it. Come on in. The couple enter. Gilmore leans against the wall near the door, while his wife stands beside him. Jessie: So has Eisen lined up a match for you yet at the pay per view? Chris Morrisette: No. Not that I've been told yet, anyway. Angry Gilmore: That sucks, man. Chris Morrisette: Yeah, well, what are you going to do? Angry Gilmore: It still isn't right. Chris Morrisette: Anyway, so how's the Team Gilmore thing going? Jessie: Good. Angry Gilmore: That's actually why we're here to talk to you... Chris Morrisette: Okay... Angry Gilmore: Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush, Chris. We'd like for you to join Team Gilmore. Chris Morrisette: I'm honored, but... Jessie: Please, just hear us out, Chris. Angry Gilmore: Look, the whole point of Team Gilmore it try to even things out a bit. Because I'm tired of getting the short end of the stick. Of having to take the hard road while guys like Rich Money, Brandon James, and Vengeance just get handed whatever they demand. I'm tired of politics and sucking up mattering more than talent and results. I'm tired of guys who have proven nothing in this promotion walking in and thinking they own the place, with no one have the balls to tell them to shut the hell up. I'm tired of syncophantic leeches like Sexy and McClean who didn't give a d*mn for this business beyond the dollars it can put in their pockets. I'm tired of these young guys who come in here with big egos and no respect for those who have come before them. Gilmore is out rightly ranting now, pacing back and forth across the room. Angry Gilmore: I'm tired of guys backstage looking at my wife like she's a piece of meat they can fight over. I'm tired of getting the respect that's been earned. So Team Gilmore is going to change things. Team Gilmore is going to upset the status quo. That's what Team Gilmore is about, Chris. Chris Morrisette nods, slowly. In the few seconds between Gilmore finishing and Morrisette responding, Gilmore has calmed back down to normal. Like he flicked a switch back to "off". Chris Morrisette: Well, I obviously can't argue against any of that. I think Team Gilmore is entirely necessary, given how things have gone in this promotion over the past year. Someone has to step up and reform a few things around here. I'd love to jump on board with you guys... but I have my own deal going on. There is a moment of slightly awkward silence, as no one seems quite sure of what to say. Chris Morrisette: I do want you to know that you can count on me to help. Just say the word and I'll be there. I've got your back. Angry Gilmore: Thanks, Chris. Chris Morrisette: Who else have you talked to? Jack? Valiant & Geidroyc? Jessie: We tried to talk to Jack. He's a bit... self-absorbed. Angry Gilmore: Like trying to talk to a broken record. Valiant & Geidroyc said pretty much the same thing you do - they can't commit to it, but they'll help out. Jessie: We also tried to talking a couple of the younger guys.... Angry Gilmore: Waste of time. They can't see beyond what's right in front of them. They don't get the bigger picture. I asked that Devine kid if he'd help out, and he flipped out, talking about how I'd never ask him that if I knew what he'd been through. Talked about friends being a betrayal waiting to happen. This whole Generation Supreme thing is garbage, if you ask me. Chris Morrisette: Yeah, those kids make me wonder sometimes... Morrisette trails off as he becomes aware of a presence by the door. Morrisette, Gilmore, and Jessie all turn to look at the open doorway at the same time, to see Troy Tornado standing there. Troy Tornado There is a tense moment of silence. No one is quite sure if there about to be an eruption of violence... Tornado looks away from the heavy gaze of Morrisette, though, and the tension seems to dissipate. Troy Tornado: Uh, hey guys. You mind if I talk to you for a minute, Chris? Angry Gilmore: You want us to stick around? Chris Morrisette: No, its okay. Come in Troy. Angry Gilmore and Jessie leave, with Gilmore giving Tornado a hard look before exiting. Tornado takes up the spot along the wall that Gilmore just vacated and he seems unsure of how to start. He clears his throat before saying anything. Troy Tornado: Look, I'm here to apologize. Chris Morrisette: Apologize? Troy Tornado: Yeah, to apologize. For the things I've said about you in the past couple months. And for targeting you when I got here. Chris Morrisette: Alright, apology accepted. Troy Tornado: It was stupid. Rocky said... he said we needed to make a splash when we came here, and there was no better way to do that than take down an established star. He said I should target you and I was stupid enough to listen. I respect you, as a wrestler and as a person. So that was wrong of me. Chris Morrisette: You gotta be careful who you pick as friends. Troy Tornado: I'm learning that. Chris Morrisette: I don't mean to preach at you, Troy, but you mind if I give you a little bit of advice? Troy Tornado: Uh, sure. Chris Morrisette: This is a business where the fans will remember for what you do. The people pick as friends will reflect on you, because you will be remembered for what they do, too. You need to decide just what you want to be remembered for. You're a helluva wrestler, Troy, and you can probably accomplish anything that you decide to here in the SWF. But how do you want to accomplish it? By taking the easy road and getting there by whatever means necessary, or by doing what's right? You need to decide if honor means something to you. Tornado nods, looking rueful, He has an embarrassed smile on his face. Troy Tornado: You know, I've been around this business a long time now. I'm not some Gen Supreme rookie kid who has no clue how things work... but things are so different here in Supreme... That's how I feel sometimes. Supreme is just different. Chris Morrisette: This place is a whole different world. Which is why you need friends you can count on, not ones who will stab you in the back or abandon you. It takes a big man to admit he was wrong ask for forgiveness, Troy. So if you need a helping hand, let me know. Troy Tornado: Thanks. I really appreciate that. Chris Morrisette: No problem. Now if you don't mind, I have a match to get ready for. It makes for a solid match. All three men get plenty of offense in, with no one managing to control the match for long. Part-way through, both Marc DuBois and Darryl Devine make their way to ringside. Its actually Devine who interferes, tripping up Zimmy and causing the Bumfhole to go after him. Inside the ring, Marquez and Deeley battle, with the Mexican star getting the better of it. A Champagne Sunrise frog splash puts Deeley down for the pin. Nevada Nuclear lost a match, thereby losing his winning streak in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Nevada Nuclear: The Nuke is no loser! SM York: That's right, Nuke. You aren't a loser. You just had a bad night. These things happen. But the bright side is that Nuke can start a brand new winning streak! Because Supreme has never seen a specimen like the Nuke here. Benson and Bling display some of their trademark quick teamwork, and DuBois adds a few "ahh" moments of his own. But the match feels a bit disjointed. Both Chord and Jett don't add a great deal to the proceedings. Parker gets the pin on Jett to earn the Remember Tomorrow stable the win. Jack Bruce is standing just outside a door, joking with a group of fans being held back by a security barrier while he signs autographs. The fans seem to love the former champion and he is charming as he interacts with them. Bruce stops what he's doing as the Bumfhole brothers walk past into the building. Both brothers are in street clothes, so its obviously before Zimmy's match. As they walk past, Randy says something quietly to Zimmy and both brothers laugh. After waiting for a second, Bruce turns and strides after the two brothers. He catches up to them quickly. Jack Bruce: Hey! Bumfhole! You got something you want to say to me? Randy turns around and Bruce gets right up in his face. They are almost nose-to-nose. Randy Bumfhole: What's your problem, old man? Jack Bruce: You're my problem, Randy. You wanna make jokes behind my back? Be a man and make them to my face. Randy Bumfhole: Dude, why would I waste my time talking about you? You're old news. Moving out to pasture and all that. Jack Bruce: We'll see who's old news tonight, Randy. Tonight, its Show Time! Zimmy drags his brother away before things can escalate any further. Bruce is left standing there, seething. Valiant: We're getting sick and tired of hearing from other tag teams about how they're going to take these belts. Like they're just up for grabs. But they aren't. Giedroyc: They're ours, ain't they. Valiant: They're ours and they won't be so easy to get away from us. Giedroyc: You gotta another thing coming. The experience and blatant cheating of the veterans makes the difference. McClean and Sexy manage to isolate Swoop, working him over for a good long while. The Aussie youngster battles back, but can't quite make the tag. When Retro finally does get in, he cleans house. It looks like he will get the win, but McClean makes the save in time. This time, they are interviewing Sara Silver, who has her bodyguard Mr. Jackson standing behind her the entire time. Sara Silver: So let's see if I have this correct... You two asked me here so you could interview me about becoming your manager, correct? Joss Thompson: That is correct, Ms. Silver. Sara Silver: Call me, Sara, please. Sean Deeley: Alright, Sara. Sara Silver: Well, I'll be honest with you two. For an agent of my caliber, the interview process usually works the other way. But I'm willing to humor you, so go ahead. Joss Thompson: Uh, okay. Sean Deeley: So, uh, what do you think you would add to Badd Kompany as our manager? Sara Silver: Well, I wouldn't simply function as a manager, obviously. As an agent, I would also represent the team in all matters, including negotiating with the promotion to ensure maximum exposure and opportunity for the team. In the role of manager at ringside, I would do everything possible to ensure the team wins every match. Sean Deeley: Wow. Joss Thompson: Uh, that would all be very helpful. Sara Silver: I would think so. I would help you two a great deal. Joss Thompson: When you look at Badd Kompany - being Sean and myself, of course - what do you see? Sean Deeley: Please be honest, Sara. Sara Silver: What I see is an impressive young tag team with limitless potential. Two very good wrestlers with good charisma, who are individually good enough to be future champions. If you say together as a team, I expect you will become mutli-time SWF World Tag team champions and one of the greatest tag teams in Supreme's history. Sean Deeley: Wow. Joss Thompson: Yeah, uh... wow. Sara Silver: You wanted the truth... you got the truth. Joss Thompson: So next question... What are your current thoughts on the American economy? Sara Silver: Well, given the continual growth of the economy through most of this decade, a downturn seems likely within the next few years. Some economists view it as inevitable. Especially given the fragility of some foreign markets that the American economy is now inextricably tied to due to trade agreements. I personally don't feel that a large-scale recession is a necessity, as strategic support of key industries can reduce the impact of any sort of global economic downturn. Sean Deeley: Nice answer. Joss Thompson: Just one other question, please, Sara. Sean Deeley: What's with the big guy? Sara Silver: Oh, Mr. Jackson? He's my person protection. He's harmless... unless I tell him to be less than harmless... Deeley and Thompson put their heads together briefly, conferring in whispers. Joss Thompson: Ahem, well I think we feel quite comfortable in offering you the position, Sara. Sara Silver: Well, that's sweet, but I must decline. Sean Deeley: Decline? What do you mean decline? Joss Thompson: You can't decline! Sara Silver: Of course I can decline. I appreciate the offer, but as I stated at the start of the interview, I was humoring you. I'm simply not available. Joss Thompson: Not available? Sean Deeley: Not available! Sara Silver: Not available. I already have a client, The Silverbacks, and that will take all my time for the near future. Perhaps down the road, we could discuss things again. But at the moment, it simply won't work. Sean Deeley: Someone else got to you first? Joss Thompson: Unacceptable! Sean Deeley: Blasphemy! Joss Thompson: We'll fight them for the right to you. Sean Deeley: We'll defend you! Joss Thompson: They won't sully your honor in that manner! Sara Silver: You two are sweet. But I am not some damsel in distress who needs rescuing. Quite the opposite. There are some in this promotion who just might need rescuing from me and mine. With a sweet nod, Silver gets up from her chair. She smiles at the two wrestlers, then gestures for Mr. Jackson to follow. The big man rumbles after her. Joss Thompson: Dude, we are so screwed. Grade: B
Peter Michaels: Fans, I've just been informed that if The New Wave win this match, they will compete against Valiant & Giedroyc and Sin Inc at Welcome to the Jungle for the SWF World Tag Team titles. It is perhaps Remo who comes out looking strongest. The match goes back and forth, as each team spends some time in control. There is a great brawling sequence early in the match between Money and Guide that has the fans on their feet. The New Wave try to use their excellent teamwork to overcome the explosive power of Remo, but the big man just keeps battling. After about ten minutes of action, Angry Gilmore and Jessie make their way down to the ring to watch at ringside. Scout gets a very close to a pinfall after he and Guide hit their Wave of Mutilation double legdrop on Remo. They hit it a second time, but the big man refuses to stay down. The match turns shortly after, when Money starts arguing outside the ring with Gilmore and Jessie. Guide jumps off the ring apron to intervene. In the ring, Scout is distracted just long enough for Remo to nail him with an out-of-nowhere Remo Buster. That's followed up by The Destroyer, and Remo gets the pinfall before Scout can get back in to intervene. Remo Wins at 13:21 via Pinfall Grade: A Rich Money, Remo, Angry Gilmore, Jessie, Guide + Scout In-Ring Confrontation After the match, no one leaves the ring area immediately. Team Gilmore follows their leader into the ring, but they are trying to keep Gilmore and Remo from attacking each other. Everyone separates them before it can escalate any further, but its clear they are ready for war at the pay per view. The officials clear Team Gilmore out of the ringside area, but Money and Remo don't depart. The early part of the match features some impressive displays of athleticism and aerial ability from both wrestlers. By mid-match, it has basically broken down into a brawl. The two men seem to dislike each other, and they try to make each other pay. Remo and Money have a great old time watching as the match unfolds. Bruce gets cut open when he misses a dive off the top rope to the outside and hits his head on the security barrier. The Long Island Angel keeps going, however, recovering quickly and continuing to battle. The match comes apart when referee Jay Fair takes a heavy bump that knocks him out of the ring, his head bouncing heavily off the floor outside. The two men inside keep fighting regardless. Randy hits a Bumfhole Buster on the former champion and goes for the pin, realizing there is no one there to make the count. He sees the ref outside the ring, unmoving. Rich Money makes a “he's out” motion, then grabs the chair he was seated on at ringside and slides it under the ropes. Bumfhole stares at the chair for a long moment before he finally picks it up. He turns and to use it on his opponent, but Bruce ducks under and slides out the other side of the ring. He's tossed a chair of his own by Remo and climbs back in. R-Bum and the Long Island Angel stare each other down, each man holding a chair ready to use as a weapon on the other. The crowd goes nuts, and the two men start to wail away at each other with the chairs, both taking nasty shots. Referee Fair is woken up by Money and Remo. Seeing what's happening in the ring, Jay Fair doesn't even try to get things under control before calling for the bell and disqualifying both men. When things finally settle down, both Jack Bruce and Randy Bumfhole seem to realize what's happened and both look sickened. Money grabs a microphone. Rich Money: I don't know what it is with you two, but you seem determined not to win to get a shot at my belt. I'm left thinking that neither of you really wants a chance to take this from me. You know what it makes you when you don't win? Money makes a “L” finger sign and puts it against his forehead, then points at Bruce and Bumfhole in turn. Remo and the champ have another good laugh. Richard Eisen picks that moment to make an appearance. He walks through the Supreme Gate with a microphone. Richard Eisen: What am I supposed to do with you two? I've given you how many chances for one of you to prove that you deserve a title shot, and you keep pulling this crap. I'm of the mind to give Money the night off at the pay per view. Money laughs and smiles, nodding at this idea. Richard Eisen: But I'll be d*mned if the Supreme brand is going to be without its main event for the pay per view. So the only I can do is make the match a Theefold Threat between you two and Money. The champ nods that he has no problem with this idea. Eisen disappears and Money starts to make his way up the ramp, followed by Remo. The champ stops atop the stage and poses with his belt, starting down at the duo in the ring. A couple quick notes... -thanks to Z-Man for the alt of Rich Money with the custom Rich Money belt, which was courtesey of Reaper. -after waching a lot of puro wrestling in the past few weeks (love All Japan from the 90s), I've realized that I haven't been making enough use of main event tag team matches. That's something I will probably use a bit more frequently, as well as the three-way matches. I went overboard on the threeway matches in this one, but I'm going to try to have more of a mix. I find I trend to run in streaks - I'll book too many tag matches, then too many singles matches, etc. -I made a booking error on this show that probably helped the final grade. The Almighty Dollar-New Wave and Bufhole-Bruce matches were switched in error. I wrote it up how I intended to have it booked, as it made more sense with the flow of the show. I've had this happen a few times of late, but usually in situations where it made no difference or possibly hurt the final grade here. In this show, I'm pretty sure it would've helped, as having a main event match with a B grade after an A-rated semi main event would've meant a lower overall grade. I really expected Bumfhole-Bruce to easily pull a B+ or even A after DuBois-Bruce did that. Whether it helped or hurt, I'm claimaing creative control and putting it how I intended it to be.

Another great show :D I look forward to the next installment of "Random thought of the day" which has got to be my favourite aspect of this Dynasty. Additionally, I expected better from Bumfhole/Bruce but I have faith that Bumfhole vs. Rich Money vs. Bruce will be brilliant. The PPV is shaping up nicely and I'll be paying particularly close attention to Gilmore vs. Remo - two of my favourite SWF wrestlers, especially in this dynasty, I have high hopes for the match. I'm intruiged to find out who Payne in, especially after Eisen's showdown with Garcia. Another debut which intruiges me is The Silverbacks - Sarah's segment with Badd Kompany was great. Another segment I really enjoyed was the opening segment containing Morrisette, Gilmore and Tornado. Yay for Marquez facing DuBois for the North American Title, Viva la Revolucion...even if I am rooting for DuBois to retain.

The pay per view should be fun. I figured that Payne segment would throw a few people off. The debut should be interesting. Its actually one of a number of debuts that I have coming up in the next few months. At this point, I'm definitely not signing guys just to sign guys - everyone is coming in with a specific role in mind. Some of those are going to be interesting, I hope. I do have a bigger Random Thoughts segment planned for after the pay per view. I'm toying with the idea of putting a smaller one here before the Legends show. I always enjoy writing those, and most readers seem to enjoy them, but I'm just worried about over-saturating the diary wih them. If I start putting them in just to put them in, rather than having a point to make, they're going to drop in quality pretty quickly.
Random thought of the day… why does it sometimes seem like the things I do for myself impress others the most? Richard Eisen gave me a hard stare from across his desk. The silence in his office felt tight. "Is this for real?" he demanded. I nodded slowly. My boss didn't say anything for another long moment. He looked at the document again, flipping through its myriad of pages slowly. "I'm going to need some time to really digest this," he told me slowly. "But this might be your most impressive work, kid." I shrugged. I nodded. I shrugged again. "Seriously, this is really impressive," Eisen said. "This is probably the best long-term booking I've ever seen in my entire time in the business." "Its just something I put together," was my reply. Which was pretty much true. I didn't assemble the document to impress anyone. It was for my own purposes and I didn't even intend to show it to anyone. So why exactly was my boss looking through it? In booking terms, we are now at the point where I'm functioning fully as the head booker. Still don't have the title, of course. But I'm the one putting everything together and just using the Creative Committee for ideas and suggestions. There's been some stuff I've had to figure out on my own, as I've never had anyone like Michaels take me aside and show me how they did the long-term booking. My system I have been using is that I only do detailed scripting of the shows about two weeks in advance. I do plan much further ahead than that, obviously. I was using the high-tech method of keeping notebooks. About a week ago, I decided that was not only messy, it was also not very secure. Losing one of those notebooks could drive the Internet fans wild and mess us up for months. So I started putting things together in some electronic documents. I ended up doing a full year. It obviously wasn't heavily detailed far into the future, just with major events, storylines moments, and title changes. Certain things were assumed, of course, such as new signings and debuts. I realized you had to be flexible and account for things like injuries. But this provided plenty of direction. The only reason that Richard Eisen was flipping through the document right now was because Phil Vibert happened to walk into my office while I was working on it. He thought it was great, enough so that he mentioned it to Jerry, who suggested strongly that I should show it to his father. So here we were... Eisen flipped through the pages slowly. He stopped somewhere and read a couple of the notes. He smiled at me, saying, "Now that would be a debut." Not sure which one he was referring to, I simply nodded again. There was a lot in that document. A lot I didn't want to anyone outside of the Creative Committee members and key SWF staffers to see the document. Password-protected electronic documents felt a lot more secure than a couple of notebooks. "Since I have you here, there was something I wanted talk to you about," Eisen told me. He gave me a hard look. My heart started beating a bit faster, and I prayed it didn't show. Did Daddy Eisen know that I had been seeing Amanda? Would he approve? Was I about to get the "don't break my baby's heart" speech... or perhaps something worse? Eisen slowly stood up and walked over to an old credenza that looked a bit out of place in the modern office. He opened and withdrew a box. A couple of quick steps and he was standing beside me. "Here," he said, shoving the box into my chest. I looked at the white box. It was an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. "What? For me?" I questioned. "Yes, but open it." I opened the box and quickly realized it was not your standard MacBook Pro. The standard silver was instead SWF-blue and the backlit Apple logo on the top was actually an SWF logo. "Whoa," was all I could manage. "Yeah, I custom ordered a batch of them. That's the first," Eisen told me. "Cost a ton, but I think they're pretty nice looking." "Pretty nice looking," I echoed. "That's one way to put it." "This is the first one. I was going to give it to Jerry or Peter, but I figured after seeing this, you deserved it." Whoa, that was a loaded statement. How were Jerry and Peter - and even Eric - going to react when they heard that I got the first one? Would they care? There was nothing I could do so I couldn't worry about it now. "Thanks, Richard," I said sincerely. "No, thank you, kid. You have no idea how much smoother things have been since you got here. Its starting to feel like the old days again. D*mn, but I miss the 80s and 90s sometimes. It seemed like everything we did worked. Every angle just got the crowd hotter. Every heel turn was monstrous. You shoulda seen the way Chord or Strong could work a crowd. The fans are just different now. Things have changed," Eisen finished wistfully. "Yeah, they have," I agreed. I didn't know quite what else to say. "But everything you've done, it feels a bit like its back in those good old days," my boss told me. "This laptop is just a small token of my appreciation. The first of many, kid." "Thanks," I repeated. "You best get going if you wanna make that flight," Eisen laughed as he looked at the clock. I nodded as he made the call down for his car to take me to the airport. With a shiny blue new toy to play with, the flight was suddenly looking a bit more appealing. So I had once again managed to impress the boss when not trying to impress anyone. What could I pull out my *ss next to top this one? Wednesday, Week 2, August 2008 Avatar

The Fry Report Preview
Every week on The Fry Report podcast will provide the latest information on everything Supreme. News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Wednesday, Week 2, August 2008 "With Welcome to the Jungle 2008 just a day away, you cannot miss SWF Legends tonight on CBA!" "With a chance at the SWF Supreme Championship at the pay per view, the man known as Vengeance faces a stern test as he will take on Ray Diaz. Steve Frehley's friend and cohort has made a name for himself in the Supreme Wrestling Federation, as the big man is always ready for a fight and backs down from no one. But facing The Harbinger is an entirely different reality. Is Diaz up for it?" "I'm hearing rumors that there will be another debut tonight, though details are still sketchy. I can't get a straight answer so far. Will it be the mysterious Payne finally showing their face? Will Sara Silver introduce The Silverbacks? You will have to watch to find out!" "Troy Tornado will be back in the SWF ring for the first time since being booted from The Golden Faction two weeks ago. Many fans may see him in a different light after his apology to Chris Morrisette last night. Will Rocky Golden be content to leave Tornado alone? Or is there more to this story yet?" "Its going to be cowboy-versus-cowboys as newcomer Pistol Pete Hall faces Texas Pete. We're in store for a good old fashioned southern brawl in this one, folks. Its gonna be a barn-stormer!" "We're going to get to see some Sky Club Division tag team action, with a shot at the brand new Sky Club Division Tag Team belts on the line. High Concept will face The Upper Class, while The Tokyo Underground will take on Pure Energy. The two winning teams will face each other for the tag belts at SWF Welcome to the Jungle." "Speaking of tag team action, SWF Legends will have an interesting three-way tag match. The Supreme Nightmare duo of Runaway Train and Eric Eisen take on Jett Stream and, from the Supreme Brand, the Black Label Fight Club. I'm told this match could have some bearing on a future shot at the SWF World Tag Team championships currently held by Valiant & Giedroyc. The smart money has to be on Train and Eisen." "About those World Tag Team championships, Valiant & Giedroyc will be facing Sin Inc at the pay per view. I just heard today that The New Wave may have cost themselves a big chance last night. Originally scheduled to face Last Chance, Guide and Scout were told that a win would mean they would be in a Supreme Threefold Threat™ match at the pay per view with the tag belts on the line. When Rich Money and Remo challenged the Team Gilmore duo, they accepted but the stipulation remained the same - win to get a title shot. So Guide and Scout knowingly took on two of the best in the SWF, rather than face a likely easier road against Enforcer Roberts and Flex Garcia. It may not have been the smartest decision, but you have to respect the guts they showed." "Don't miss out tonight. Still plenty to happen before the pay per view, and we have a main event tonight you cannot miss. Tune in, SWF Legends, only on CBA!" Shady K vs Brett Biggz vs Troy Tornado# I can see Tornado getting a mini-push now that he's out of Golden's shadow High Concept vs The Upper Class (John Greed + Paul Huntingdon) As of right now, High Concept seem more established American Elemental vs Brandon James No question, Brandon is on another level The Tokyo Underground vs Pure Energy (Lee Rivera + Shane Nelson) I enjoy them more Jett Stream (Jacob Jett + Mainstream Hernandez) vs The Supreme Nightmare (Eric Eisen + Runaway Train) vs Black Label Fight Club Can't see it going any other way without shenanigans coming into play Knuckles vs Steve Frehley No doubt about it, Frehley will destroy him Ray Diaz vs Vengeance Diaz, whilst a credible big man, doesn't stand a hope in hell against Vengeance
Nah, faces win to send the crowd home happy.
Okay, so the mystery main event was quite a bit less necessary in this show than in previous ones. Still, its fun. Does that make me a jerk? By the way, anyone who's picking ??? to win is way way off... The hope is to have the Legends show posted sometime tomorrow night and the pay per view up by the end of the weekend. Its booked and came off better than I hoped. I'm probably being ambitious on the time frames, though.

Shady K vs Brett Biggz vs Troy Tornado Maybe a renewed push beckons for Tornado? High Concept vs The Upper Class (John Greed + Paul Huntingdon) Coin flip American Elemental vs Brandon James Definitely Brandon James to win The Tokyo Underground vs Pure Energy (Lee Rivera + Shane Nelson) Coin flip once again Jett Stream (Jacob Jett + Mainstream Hernandez) vs The Supreme Nightmare (Eric Eisen + Runaway Train) vs Black Label Fight Club Eisen probably still has creative control Knuckles vs Steve Frehley Frehley to dominate Ray Diaz vs Vengeance I think this will be a close one, but Vengeance can't afford to lose so close to Welcome to the Jungle ??? + ??? vs ??? + ??? ??? is definitely on fire, and I expect him to pin ??? with ??? clearing ??? out of the ring. ??? rocks!

This one takes place on the stage rather than in the ring. The Legends brand GM is joined by The Samoan Wildboyz and their manager, as well as both Biggz brothers. Tyler stands between the two groups. Eric Tyler: I haven't had this job a month yet and I'm already sick and tired of all the whining and complaining. Some of you need to learn to man up and get things done yourself instead of complaining to the boss. Because sometimes the boss doesn't want to hear it. Sometimes... the boss doesn't care... This draws a round of boos for the General Manager. Eric Tyler: There was a lot of crap brought to my attention this past week that I could have addressed here tonight on Mr. Tyler Says. I decided to address this crap. Complainant number one, take it away... Tyler points at BJ O'Neill, who is handed a microphone. She steps forward like a game show contestant. BJ O'Neill: Well, Mr. Boss Tyler, its like I told you this week... I don't think its fair that Toma has to face Biggz at the pay per view for his Shooting Star belt. The deal was Biggz had to beat Akima Brave. He didn't beat him. Eric Tyler: He won. Via disqualification. BJ O'Neill: Yeah, bra. Eric Tyler: Because you interfered. BJ has nothing to say to that. She avoids the hard gaze of the brand GM. He takes the second microphone from her. Eric Tyler: And now we get to hear from Mr. Biggz... Tyler makes to hand the microphone to Bart, and then pulls it away just before he can grab it. Eric Tyler: ...but no one really cares what you have to say, Bart. No offense, but everyone here knows what you're going to say, so why waste everyone's time? Now, while Mr. Biggz here did fail to actually pin Akima Brave, no such qualification was put on the challenge. Therefore, the win stands as a win. And Ms. O'Neill... it may have helped your argument if you hadn't been directly involved in Akima getting disqualified. So the Shooting Star championship will be defended at Welcome to the Jungle. There is some weak approval from the crowd. The prospect doesn't excite them to any great degree. Tyler slowly looks out over the crowd, a musing look on his face. Eric Tyler: You know, I feel the same way. I'm not entirely convinced that Bart and Toma will put on a great match at the pay per view. They might. But I'm not willing to risk the reputation of the Legends brand on "might". So to make sure the match is worthy of the Sky Club Division and the Shooting Star championship, I made the decision to "spice things up" a bit... At this, a series of pyrotechnics go off in a circle around the arena as the lights drop. A series of spotlights and lasers move about the arena, finally converging to focus on a spot at the opposite side of the arena. Partway up the balcony is a suspended clock. Music begins to play. Familiar music... The man in the spotlight is diminutive, short but stocky. He lands in a crouch, hesitating for a just a second before he breaks into a dead sprint down the narrow walkway towards the ring. He leaps over the barrier and makes an athletic leap into the ring from the floor, grabbing the ropes and launching himself to the other side of the ring. He balances himself on the far ropes, those closest to the ramp and poses. He points at Biggz and Toma, pointing at them. Eric Tyler: That's right... Acid is in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. And he'll be facing Bart Biggz and Kid Toma in a Threefold Threat match for the SWF Shooting Star championship. This gets a pretty notable pop from the crowd. Grade: B-
Duane Fry: Acid... Here in the SWF! Another former DaVE star! The match is essentially a showcase for Tornado, as he has the most offense and he impresses as he seamlessly transitions between styles. The match flows pretty well and the crowd is into it. Throughout the match, it seems as though everyone – the participants and the crowd – are waiting to see if The Golden Faction appears, but they do not. Tornado is left alone to earn the win, after he hammers both Biggz and K with his Star Maker, then pins Shady K. There is a bit of reaction for a couple of the big spots that Benson and Bling hit, but its otherwise pretty flatline. The match is won on the superior teamwork and the impressive quickness of the experienced duo. Greed and Huntingdon make an honest effort of cheating their way to victory but they can't manage it. The match starts out with a bit of comedy as the lightweight tries a few arerial moves in hopes of taking Brandon off his feet, but he doesn't budge Big Money. James lets it go for a few minutes, swatting Elemental away when necessary but doing little. When Emma Chase gives him the command, he grabs the masked little man and slams him around. Its a back-and-forth match where both men spend some time in control. Caufield starts to take over the match, but Grandmaster Bling does his job – not by interfering but simply by providing a quick distraction. Its enough for Enygma to hit his opponent with a unseen flying shoulder block, followed up by several suplexes. After an Enygmagiri Kick, the former world champion locks Caufield in his Enygma Variation submission hold. Caufield refuses to submit, though clearly in pain. He works his way to the ropes to break the hold. Caufield gets to his feet slowly, but he begins to batter away his masked opponent with a series of bunches and elbows. He nails Enygma with his Hardcore American Clothesline, and follows it up with the Danger Drop DDT, which gives him the win. The duo of Jett and Hernandez don't manage to mount much offense against the bigger men, for the most part, outside of an impressive suicide dive by Jett. Its the former world champion Runaway Train doing most of the battling for his team, with Eisen tagging in at the most opportune times. There is an interesting sequence near the end the match where Train brawls with both Black Label guys and gets the better of it. After Train hits his Locomotion Backbreakers on Jett, Hernandez tries to make the save, only to get hit with a Train Wreck powerbomb himself. It seems like Knuckles is slowly growing in confidence as he manages to hand with Frehley through the first few minutes of the match. Coming off the ropes, Knuckles kicks his opponent in the stomach and goes for a double-underhook facebuster, only to find he can't lift Frehley. Instead, the former champion simply powers out of the move and grabs Knuckles in a pumphandle backbreaker. Wearing a small smile, its clear the Frehley was simply toying with his opponent. A Frehley Suplex Throw is particularly impressive against his big opponent. The match turns back in Knuckles favor for just a moment when he tries his Stay of Execution – a low blow followed by a roll-up pin attempt. Frehley kicks out and he looks rather angry. A nasty Dark Destroyer Spear is followed up by a second one before he pins his opponent. The match is slow moving but intense, and the crowd enjoys it. Both men work stiff and there is some genuine power behind every blow. Diaz gets busted open after a series of headbutts from Vengeance, the chrome mask lacerating Diaz's forehead. It doesn't phase the big man and he keeps battling. The blood actually seems to motivate Diaz and he takes Vengeance down with a Monster Mash clothesline, following it up several Savage Smashes. He goes for the pin, but The Harbinger has plenty of fight left and kicks out. Diaz goes for his Ray Gun piledriver, but Vengeance simply sits up. Diaz batters away but Vengeance shows no effect from the blows. He's pretty much unstoppable at this point. A Reaper Leaper and a Bones Shaker is followed up by a pin attempt but Diaz isn't done yet. Diaz battles back, but his comeback is stopped short after another Reaper Leaper clothesline. Vengeance's Skull Krusher piledriver puts Diaz down for the three count. Frehley slides into the ring and drives himself into Vengeance with a nasty Dark Destroyer Spear. Vengeance pops right back, though, and whips Frehley with the chain. It doesn't phase The Dark Destroyer, who takes it to close in on Vengeance to drive a couple of forearms into his chest. He kicks The Harbinger in the stomach, then pushes the big man out of the ring. Vengeance makes to climb back into the ring to go after Frehley again, but several SWF officials get in his way. Well, three great workers and Rocky Golden. The match is open and entertaining with plenty of crowd interaction. Referee Jay Fair struggles to keep control of the match as all four men get involved time and again. There is a great sequence of technical grappling in the middle of the match between Morrisette and Bloodstone, with the Legends champion getting the better of it. It allows Bloodstone and Golden to wear down and isolate Morrisette. Faith jumps in a couple of times, but Golden and Bloodstone keep their opponents from making the tag. When Faith finally tags in, he cleans house. The crowd goes insane for the champion. Golden and Bloodstone don't go down easy, however, as they slow up Faith after a bit as well. Recovered by now, Morrisette gets in there and battles Bloodstone. When Bloodstone gets Morrisette in the Bloodstone Variation, it looks like the face duo might be in trouble but Faith interferes to save the win. There is quickly an entire army of SWF officials at ringside, as security is determined to keep the situation from escalating. Vengeance attempts to get in the ring, but a wall of secuirty officials keep him away. He roars in anger, bellowing at Christian Faith. The champion stands stoically beside Morrisette, both of them ready for The Harbinger to get into the ring. It doesn't happen. The showdown between Christian Faith and Vengeance will have to wait for the pay per view. Great show once again. I did mark out for the arrival of Acid and I hope he can make the crowd (who seem to love non competitive squashes to decent wrestling featuring 'vanilla' midgets) at least care a little bit more about the Sky club Division. Speaking of non competitive squashes, it does kind of sadden me to see someone as good as American Elemental being fed as job fodder. Mind you this is just the kind of ruthless booking I can see SWF going for, find a talented Indy circuit darling, sign him up and job him out to just about every 'big man' going.

It took me longer to get up than I hoped. I'm pretty eager to get the pay per view up, as I think its gonna be pretty fun, too. I was trying to make the debut of Acid come across as kinda epic. Not monstrous, but major. I sat on him for awhile, as I think I've had him signed since before the last PPV, but this was the plan for awhile. Tough not to debut him earlier. He is definitely going to be one of the cornerstones of the Sky Club Division. As for American Elemental, yeah, he's been putting in his time jobbing. The upside to that is his overness has increased slowly. The constant jobbing is leading to something, which may or not work out. But it does have a its purpose... beyond the actual value of jobbing.
