SWF: Generation Supreme

Recommended Posts

Glad to see Bigpapa's SWF is still running wild! Regarding Welcome to the Jungle, I believe you managed to capture the Sports Entertainment feel of the PPV's perfectly, Payne's debut was handled very well. The triple threat was entertaining, Remo's becoming more and more likely to reach the top of the food chain still in 2008, Vengeance came out looking badass even though he lost to Faith. Oh, and Acid rules. Supreme TV and Legends have definitely estabilished themselves as two entirely diffrent shows but with the same SWF feel, you've done a heck of a job in that deparment, and I can't wait to see where Rich's title run goes to, as well as who will end Faith's illustrous career (at least that's where I think you're heading things to with the constant remakrs to his age).

Maybe a bit more running mild, but still running for sure. As I've said a couple of times, the "Sports Entertainment feel" comment is one of the biggest compliments I can get. Its that texture that I'm striving for constantly - every show, every angle. When that comes across to the reader, it makes me happy and gooey inside. Rich Money's title reign - aka The Beautiful Reign - should be epic. That's the plan at least. I don't really believe that I can equal, let alone surpass, J Silver's remarkable Darryl Devine as one of the most detestable heels I've ever read in a diary, but dammit, I'm going to try! I actually end up feeling impatient as I can't wait to get to some of the fun stuff I have planned for Mr. Rich Money and friends. As for Vengeance and Faith, that's going in a direction that I don't think many people will really expect. I really can't believe this has hit 500 posts now. When I started this, I wasn't really sure I would even surpass the average and make it past the first six shows. Now we're here. And no plans to stop, or even slow down. I have the rest of 2008 planned out in a fair amount of detail already, and plans in place for most of 2009. I can't promise that I'll make it that far in the diary, but when this thing does finally end, it won't be lack for lack of ideas or plans.

Hopefully you didn't get left out. For those who did miss the action, here's a quick recap of what was on offer. The veteran duo of Pistol Pete Hall and Steve Flash - calling themselves "Bang" - teamed up and scored themselves a win. They took down the young duo of Strong Machine, as well as a debuting masked team calling themselves The Ultimates. Nevada Nuclear, Ash Campbell, and Acid all saw action and all were victorious. The Immortal Bumfholes were in tag team action. The brothers took on The Heartbreakers and another young tag team, with Zimmy scoring the win for the two-time SWF World Tag Team champions. In the main event, it was Angry Gilmore taking on Darryl Devine and an exciting newcomer. The former tag team specialist Gilmore scored the victory after a hard-fought match. The Fry Report Preview
Every week on The Fry Report podcast will provide the latest information on everything Supreme. News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 4, August 2008 "Another big week on tap, fans." "As we move towards the next pay per view on the Supreme Wrestling Federation schedule - SWF Under Control 2008 - things are beginning to heat up. Last week on SWF Supreme TV, Jack Bruce made it clear that he wants another shot at Rich Money's SWF World Heavyweight championship belt. The belt that the Long Island Angel still considers his. Will the champion "Hard Cash" be willing to give the former champion one more shot? And will Bruce take "no" for an answer? We may find out this week." "Speaking of title contenders, who is the number one contender for the SWF North American championship? Marc DuBois may feel that no one is good enough to take his belt away, but there are plenty of men who want to try. Darryl Devine, Antonio Marquez, and Zimmy Bumfhole, just to name a few. And Randy Bumfhole may want a shot at that belt, if he can't get another crack at Rich Money's World title. The list of contenders may narrow this week, as Zimmy Bumfhole will be given a shot at the champion DuBois. This should be a great match between two of the best young talents in the entire wrestling world." "As for the SWF World Tag Team championships, everyone feels that The New Wave are the number one contenders after their win at the Welcome to the Jungle 2008 pay per view. Everyone except Joe Sexy and John McClean. The Sin Inc duo apparently feel they should be the top contenders for the tag belts. I'm not sure what their logic is, but I'm sure it will make sense only to them." "Last week on Supreme TV, we saw Rich Money extend a hand in friendship to youngster Ace Newton. This week, the SWF Generations champion joins forces with the Alpha Dogs as they take on the SWF World Tag Team champions Valiant & Giedroyc along with Robbie Retro. This six-man tag should feature some great action." "The main event this week will see fan favorite Chris Morrisette faces off against the silver-tongued John McClean. Two great wrestlers and they both have something to prove. This should be a match." "Fans, don't miss out. Tune in to C.A.N.N. to see the finest entertainment you can find anywhere! International fans, check your local listings!"
The Fry Report will be available on SWF.com or directly from iTunes.
A special feature for the Fry Report... Joe Sexy vs Antonio Marquez Tough one to call since you've been giving a lot of focus to Marquez and his "comrades", but Joe Sexy's experience should be the decisive factor Randy Bumfhole vs Jay Chord Bumfhole is definitely more estabilished Last Chance (Enforcer Roberts + Flex Garcia) vs Black Label Fight Club Coin toss, plus, I don't like Garcia Steven Parker vs Gino Montero vs Darryl Devine Another tough one to call here... Zimmy Bumfhole vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Championship I doubt that you'll have the NA title change hands on TV, but who knows? Nevada Nuclear vs Jack Bruce I like Nuke, but Bruce just came off a one year title reign Valiant & Giedroyc + Robbie Retro vs Rich Money, Remo + Ace Newton I wouldn't bet against Remo... John McClean vs Chris Morrisette Lobby Power~!

Joe Sexy vs Antonio Marquez Definitely one of the tougher TV matches to call. In fact I'm going to swing for Marquez to cause the mild upset, as I feel Sexy is basically being used in a position where he puts rising stars over. Randy Bumfhole vs Jay Chord As MVP said more established Last Chance (Enforcer Roberts + Flex Garcia) vs Black Label Fight Club BLFC have been nothing but job fodder since their return to SWF, then again Last Chance haven't fared much better. Steven Parker vs Gino Montero vs Darryl Devine As MVP said another tough one to call, but I would give the edge to Devine. Zimmy Bumfhole vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Championship TV defence, so DuBois retains. Nevada Nuclear vs Jack Bruce The Nuke is nowhere near over enough yet to go over Bruce. Valiant & Giedroyc + Robbie Retro vs Rich Money, Remo + Ace Newton More combined overness on the heel side. Looks like you're trying to raise Newton's overnesss by having him in a loose association with Money and Remo. John McClean vs Chris Morrisette Morrisette seems alot more established as a singles threat.

Looks like you're trying to raise Newton's overnesss by having him in a loose association with Money and Remo.
With regards to Newton, yes and no. The association with Rich Money and Remo is more for storyline purposes and to help establish Ace as one of the top Generation Supreme talents in the minds of the fans (well, readers). Newton has reached Upper Midcard status just by being on TV regularly - I don't think he's had any real major wins of note. One or two bigger wins and he could be a solid main eventer. No reason to push things, though. Glad there's a couple matches on this card giving people a bit of doubt when picking.

Joe Sexy vs Antonio Marquez Sexy vs. Lover? Sexy just isn't as skilled, and seems to be a proving ground for the SWF's lWo :p Randy Bumfhole vs Jay Chord I only got one chance to run this in my game - let's hope you have better luck Last Chance (Enforcer Roberts + Flex Garcia) vs Black Label Fight Club Flex isn't as bad as I sometimes think, but equally I just can't pick him either... Steven Parker vs Gino Montero vs Darryl Devine Why not go two for two? Zimmy Bumfhole vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Championship A bad night for the brothers - besides, what would DuBois gain from losing here? Nevada Nuclear vs Jack Bruce This one has non-finish written all over it - or at least a cheap finish Valiant & Giedroyc + Robbie Retro vs Rich Money, Remo + Ace Newton John McClean vs Chris Morrisette Ol' Squeaky or the former Lobster Warrior... What a main event! ;)

State of This Diary Address Please Read Post in Entirety Alright, so I figured I had to address this. As its been bothering me endlessly for awhile now. I've had enough. I really don't feel like my work here in this diary gets any respect at all on this board. I mean, I get zero response or feedback. Whether its a show or a prediction form, I get zilch. Nothing from anyone. Not even someone taking the time to say "hey, you suck, man". Yeah, I'd happily take negative recognition at this point. So since no one can be bothered to take the time to even acknowledge that they've read something I've posted, I've had to decide that I can't be bothered to post. That's right, this diary is done. If you readers can take the thirty seconds it takes to post some type of response after I spend upwards of 20 minutes writing out an entire show, then to hell with this. And to hell with all you readers. I'm taking my keyboard and going home, if you will. Walking away with my monitor held high. Oh, I could whine and complain and throw a fit, make a scene, try to make everyone pay attention to my perceived plight but what's the end game? Would the possibly generated e-pity really make a difference at this point? While an endless stream of posts begging me not to end this diary could make me reconsider, that's not really what I'm trying to do here (though go ahead and try that, if you please). No, I'm just trying to let you apathetic and indifferent readers know that its your fault that another diary has died in its infancy, just when it could have been working towards possibly eventually becoming somewhat entertaining in at least a minor way. Now, if you followed the instructions at the top and are still reading this post through to this point, you may want to take a second and look up at the date indicated at the top of this post and realize this is just my lame-ass attempt at a joke. No, dear reader, my meandering and philosophizing vision of the Supreme Wrestling Federation is not ending at all. The real point of posting this was to let everyone know that there will be an ever-so-slight hiatus starting tomorrow. I'm taking a short vacation to Houston, for some little wrestling show they're putting on there. I will have my trusty laptop with me and I will be checking in here for sure. I will also be trying to do some writing while there, I just don't know that I'll actually get anything posted. So there might be a complete interruption of SWF service for a bit over a week... or no interruption to the normal schedule at all.
Good'un, BigP. I've seen three thus far in the five hours in we are where I am. This is the first I've found amusing. (The other two were trying way too hard.) Further, I refuse to believe your shows only take 20 minutes. I know Philly Pro takes me half an hour to an hour.
Was gonna make it a straight up "going on a vacation and just want to rub everyone's noses in it" post, but decided to have a bit of fun. I tried to make it overt, hence the 20 minutes bit. Yes, it takes me a helluva lot longer than that to do one show. It takes me at least an hour to set up the graphics and everything. The writing... it takes a touch longer.

You had me scared for a second there ;) Joe Sexy vs Antonio Marquez Marquez has more direction and potential while Sexy is a solid midcarder Randy Bumfhole vs Jay Chord Bumfhole is higher on the pecking order Last Chance (Enforcer Roberts + Flex Garcia) vs Black Label Fight Club Coin flip Steven Parker vs Gino Montero vs Darryl Devine Hard match to predict, I see Devine winning and going on to challenge DuBois Zimmy Bumfhole vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Championship Probably won't be clean but I don't see DuBois losing the title yet Nevada Nuclear vs Jack Bruce Bruce is too much for the Nuke Valiant & Giedroyc + Robbie Retro vs Rich Money, Remo + Ace Newton No brainer John McClean vs Chris Morrisette I smell interference costing Morrisette the match
Well played sir, although I found it hard to believe it first, because you never really showed any signs of being bipolar. :P
I have my moments. By the way, in case anyone didn't catch my thinly-veiled hint, I'm heading to Houston for Wrestle Mania. As well as the Friday night Ring of Honor show. And Monday Night Raw. Plus a baseball game. Now if this week doesn't provide me with some ideas and inspiration, then I'm pretty much hopeless. Why am I telling you this, dear readers? Partly out of boredom - I'm sitting in an airport and waiting for a connecting flight. But also because I want to revel in your jealousy...

Altough RAW is coming here this summer (got tickets, front row almost!) it's _nothing_ compared to Wrestlemania, or even a normal RAW in there. Hope you enjoy the trip! Are you gonna hold a "SWF: Generation Supreme" -sign?

Thanks guys. I wasn't that hyped for the trip leading up to it, but now that I'm here in Houston, I'm pretty excited. Though I'm looking forward to the ROH show at least as much as Raw, if not moreso. No, no signs, Fin. Though a "Randy Orton is no Rich Money" sign would be fun.
