I actually got to wrestle the other day! During an event and everything. I shouldn't be as thrilled about this as I am, but I can't help it. I basically don't get to wrestle any more. Which is a bit weird for a contracted wrestler. Then again, my situation is anything but normal, even for this business. Of course, my participation in the battle royal at The World is Watching only lasted about ninety seconds. I was the first of the ten tossed out, even though the two new guys had a beatdown angle with Vengeance just before the match. I didn't do much in that ninety seconds either - just a nice exchange with Robbie. He got to toss me out, which I think he enjoyed a bit too much. I'd say I would get him back, but who knows whenI will get into a Supreme ring again? The pay per view came off pretty well. The main event could have been a bit stronger overall, but the finish and brawl at the end of the show went over very well with the crowd. I think the two title changes surprised a lot of people, which I must say was the point. Neither Money nor DuBois seemed particularly happy about giving up their belts, but neither refused. After I explained the logic behind the moves to each of them individually, they seemed a lot happier with it. The guys seem to be trusting me more, bit by bit. It actually seems a lot of guys are happy with the direction that things are taking. I don't know for certain what things were like backstage here at Supreme a year ago, but the stories I've heard from a few guys that things were tense. What I've heard is that it didn't really feel like there was any long-term direction to what was being booked. That's definitely not the case now and much of the roster realizes that. I know the young guys love me for giving them Generation Supreme to showcase themselves. After he won the Generations title, Davis Wayne Newton came up to me and gave me a big sweaty hug. He thanked me very sincerely. The kid is massively arrogant in the ring, but he's a truly nice guy outside of it. Newton isn't the only guy, though. I've had quite a few guys tell me how much they appreciate having me build a stage specifically for them. Its not as if I did it myself, even if it was my idea. Prior to Generation Supreme, a lot of the young guys were struggling to get time, outside of "The Anointed" - which consisted just of DuBois and the Bumfholes. Its strange to realize that I've had a much bigger impact on the Supreme Wrestling Federation in the role I've been given than I could have a wrestler. The odds are that, as a wrestler, I would never get that much above a midcarder. Its not that I'm not skilled or charismatic, but sometimes it takes more than that to become a Supreme Legend. Does that realization make me content in my role? Not at all. It probably makes it worse in some weird inverse way. I don't think it will matter what role I end up in with the SWF, I won't stop trying to get myself in as a wrestler. They could make me Head Booker and I'd still be trying. Hell, I could end up running the company completely somehow and it wouldn't change things. I'm a wrestler... d*mnit, let me wrestle! Monday, Week 3, April, 2008 Avatar

I'm Peter Michaels. With me tonight are Phil Vibert and Jerry Eisen. Phil Vibert: We're in for some fireworks tonight! There's sure to be some fallout from The World is Watching!
Steve Frehley Steve Frehley comes in street clothes, carrying his new SWF North American title belt. The crowd give him major love. Frehley doesn't look impressed or play to the crowd much. He climbs into the ring, lays the belt down in the middle of the ring, and grabs a microphone. Steve Frehley: I guess I'm kinda making a habit of coming out here and talking on this thing. Still don't like it. But some things have to be said. That's just the way it is. The crowd approves. Loudly. Steve Frehley: Now Rich Money felt that I didn't deserve the respect that I get. So he tried to take some from me. Instead, I took his title belt. The most important thing he had. The one thing he will miss more than anything else. And the best part of it is... I don't want it. This belt means nothing to me. Steve Frehley is interested only the SWF World Heavyweight title belt and I have to wait until Jack Bruce loses it, as I won't try to take it from a friend. But this belt? I am going to walk out of this ring and leave it right here. I don't care what happens to it. I make no more claim to it. It serves it only purpose, which was to make Rich Money realize that I'm better than he is! Richard Eisen While the crowd roars their approval and Steve Frehley actually cracks a smile, Richard Eisen comes thundering down the ramp towards the ring. There is no entrance music, no hype for the owner, and he looks genuinely angry. He already has a mic as he walks and starts talking before he ever reaches the ring. Richard Eisen: What the hell do you think you're trying to pull here, Frehley? What kind of stunt is this? Steve Frehley: No stunt, Eisen. No grandstanding. I just don't care. I don't want this belt. Eisen is in the ring now and he gets up in Frehley's face. He is clearly quite upset. Richard Eisen: Do you think I am going to let you stand there and disrespect this promotion? Disrespect this belt? Disrespect me? Steve Frehley: I'm not disrespecting anyone, Richard. I'm not saying that the belt is worthless. I'm saying I don't want it. Richard Eisen: Don't want it? How can you not want it? In thirty years, no one has ever voluntarily given up an SWF title belt! Steve Frehley: There's a first time for everything, I guess. If you want, you can tell the world that you stripped me of the belt because I refused to defend it. You've done that one before. But I really don't care what you tell people or what people want to believe. You can't force me to defend it or retain it. That's just the way it is. Rich Money + Emma Chase Rich Money now comes charging down to the ring, chased by Emma Chase. Money is in street clothes, has a microphone, and looks angry. Rich Money: Now you wait just one d*mned minute here! This stinks! This isn't going to go down like this... Money and Chase are now in the ring, but Frehley cuts him off before he can continue. Steve Frehley: See, Money, you don't get to say how this is going to down. You aren't the champion anymore. So you don't decide anything. And this is exactly how this is going to go down. Emma Chase: What, are you afraid to defend it, Frehley? We all know that you'll lose it right back to Rich here. Are you that afraid? Rich Money: I'll beat you this time! Bank on it! Steve Frehley: I'm not banking on anything with you, Money. And no Emma, I'm not afraid. If I was afraid, I'd come up with some excuse like your boy here has done before. That's not my style, though. I'm not going to hang onto something I don't give a d*mn about. If you want your belt back, Money, take it. Its right there. Feel free to pick up my scraps. Money turns red and glares, knowing he can't take back the belt or he will look like a fool. Richard Eisen: You think the fans are going to love you for this stunt, Frehley? You think this will somehow earn you more precious respect? No one is going to care that you gave a belt that's worth more than you believe. No one is going to remember why you did this. This isn't going to matter! Steve Frehley: Then why are you three worried about it? If it doesn't matter, then we can all just move on. Because I'm done with this. That's just the way it is. Frehley drops the microphone and slowly climbs out the ring. Everyone seems to be waiting for Money to make for his rival, but he just stands and fumes. After Frehley leaves, Eisen gathers up the title belt and departs. Money makes like he's going to say more, but Chase pulls him away instead. Grade: A
Peter Michaels: I can't believe Steve Frehley just gave up the title! He gave it up! I've never seen that! Phil Vibert: I told you there would be some fallout. They tell the tag team champions that they've been overlooked for the past few months and that they're not going to allow it to happen anymore. The clash of styles between the high-fliers and the brawlers doesn't mesh into a very fluid match. Even worse, the Biggz brothers don't display the crisp teamwork that they are famed for. The listless Biggz are in serious danger of losing to the big Death Row duo, before a lightning-quick bit of interference from Jessie slows Knuckles enough for Brett Biggz to take advantage, allowing Bart to get the pinfall. Bart Biggz Wins at 7:51 via Pinfall Grade: C- Jessie, Bart Biggz + Brett Biggz After the match ends, Jessie looks steamed. She doesn't depart, but grabs a microphone. Jessie: Brett, Bart, I think we need to talk. Look, I've been with you two forever. And we've had some really good times. Bart Biggz: Yeah, we have. Jessie: Which is what makes this hard. Because I can't help but remember a time when you two pretty much never a lost a match. When you clearly the top tag team in the SWF. When we didn't have to cheat to win. Everyone else had to try to cheat, and you guys still won. Brett Biggz: Yeah, those were good times. Jessie: And what the hell happened to you two? You guys lose all the time. And worse, you don't even seem to care. And honestly, I can't manage a couple of losers. Bart Biggz: Are... are you breaking up with us? Jessie: Breaking up with you? No, Bart. I'm rescinding my contract as your manager. Find someone else who will put up with your crap. I'm done. Brett Biggz: Wait, Jessie. Don't end it like this... Bart Biggz: Please, give us another chance. Brett Biggz: We'll change. We swear, we'll change. With a shake of her pretty head, Jessie says no. She drops the microphone and climbs slowly out the ring. She makes a slow walk up the ramp, looking sad. The Biggz brothers looked stunned as they stand in the ring. Grade: B
Jerry Eisen: I think those two guys just got dumped! Phil Vibert: That's a moment the Biggz aren't going to forget! Chris Caufield: Yeah, forget about it. Eric Tyler: Look DuBois - that Smoking Sun belt is beneath you. Its the least important belt in this promotion, as far as I know. You're better than that. Forget about that belt and go after something that matters. Like the North American championship. Or the World title. Marc DuBois: Really? Eric Tyler: I know this business, and I know talent. You have loads of talent. You need to aim high. Shoot for the stars. Marc DuBois: Um, okay.
Sir if I could throw my 2 cents worth here. I dont normally read SWF works. But I have to say you have done a great job at keeping me entertained with this one. Good job sir.
Thank you kindly. Glad to know that its being read and enjoyed. Have a few things coming up which should keep things interesting. I hope, at least. I will also say that I will probably be using the synopsis approach for more angles, rather than line-by-line dialogue for each one. While its more interesting to read and write the line-by-line style, its also pretty damned time consuming. So I figure I'll do it for the more important angles, or at least important parts of them. The generic ones, I'll just summarize. Hopefully its still fun to read.

Random thought of the day... I recall reading somewhere that the definition of insanity is repeating the exact same action continually and expecting a different outcome... If that's true, then it would explain a lot about this promotion as a whole. I had my first "incident" of note that other week. Not the first incident that's happened in my time at Supreme, but the first one of note that I've had to deal with personally. Which obviously shouldn't be my job, because it's the job of the Head Booker and I am not the Head Booker. Oh sure, I'm doing the job of the Head Booker. But officially, I'm still just a "senior member" of the Creative Committee. So why am I dealing with a disciplinary issue that I shouldn't be dealing with? Because no one else wants to. No one wants to deal with Scott Sinclair. I can't blame them - I don't want to either. Because "Big Smack Scott" is what would be labelled - in a political correct world - as a "problem employee". Which is the nice way to say he's a pr*ck. And a dumb one, too. The guy tested positive for steroids. Again. No one is even sure how many times he's tested positive, but its been plenty. The Supreme Wrestling Federation has had a testing and personal conduct policy in place since the big Sports Illustrated article a couple years ago on steroid and drug abuse in professional wrestling. Every contract includes clauses for the testing and personal conduct policy, so no worker can claim ignorance anymore. The policy is supposed to be a "three-strike" system, and you're gone on the third positive test. Well, Sinclair is one about strike eighteen, and he's not even being specifically targeted for testing! No one has ever accused Supreme of being a "fair and equitable" workplace. Sinclair is living, breathing, and steroid-injecting proof of that. If it was some bottom-of-the-card jobber testing positive repeatedly, you can be sure the written policy would apply. Big Smack Scott is a special case to Richard Eisen, so he gets an unbelievable degree of leeway. No one is quite sure why Sinclair gets special treatment that even makes some of the main eventers jealous, but I personally believe it comes down to Eisen's ego. He truly believes he can make a Supreme Legend out of any worker he chooses. That look and skill on the mic far outweigh wrestling ability. Its that same ego that makes me think he may even bring back Jim Force some day. Even favoritism only goes so far, though. It looks like Sinclair may have reached the bitter end of his leeway with this last test. He just came back from nearly two full months off. While the story circulated was that he was taking time off due to family matters and lingering injuries, the truth was that he was sent to work with the trainers at RIPW. The guy is so sloppy in the ring that he makes Runaway Train and Jim Force look like ring generals. Sinclair refused to actually wrestle on a RIPW card, but the belief was that the time in training could improve his ring skills a bit, plus give him time to get off the juice. He did neither. Against Tyler and Caufield at The World is Watching, it was the same old Sinclair in the ring. Botching moves, no-selling, sloppy timing, moving off-script. Everything you don't do with veterans like those two. Eric Tyler actually told me he never wanted to work with Big Smack Scott again, not with any sort of anger or spite. Just a matter-of-fact statement from an old school veteran. Sinclar isn't really stupid, so I can't believe he's just obvious to the way he's perceived by every other wrestler (the way Brandon James would be). I think he just doesn't care. Its the same thing with the steroids. Its not like he's pretending he's not on them. He just doesn't care. Its like he's saying "go ahead, fire me if you dare" with his actions. The problem for him is that its got to that point. Richard Eisen is the one who came to me after the pay per view to let me know about the positive test. It was also Eisen who told me that I would be the one to lay down the law with Sinclair. Personally, I feel it should be Eisen as its his policy. But he's hasn't done this kind of thing personally for a long while. It's the job of the Head Booker. Which means that Michaels should be doing it. But he passed it on to me with a lame-ass "we're grooming you for my job eventually, so do what I don't' want to" excuse. Everyone seems to think that Sinclair is enough of a pr*ck that the possibility of physical violence is there. Hence, it falls in my lap. I made one of the secretaries arrange for the meeting. I made Sinclair come to my tiny little broom closet of an office at Supreme One. I wanted him to know why he was coming, too. It wasn't relayed to him outright, but enough people knew about it that he had to know too. Sinclair arrived at my office twenty minutes late. He came in wearing an Under Armor shirt so tight that it looked more like a body tattoo than clothing. I was given a disrespectful sneer when he sat down. Only giving him half my attention, I handed him the paperwork for the positive test. He looked it and tossed it on my desk. "So?" he demanded. "Its positive, Scott," I told him bluntly. "Again... so?" There was a loaded silence which seemed to get uncomfortable for him, as he finally blurted, "The whole policy is just a bunch of bullsh*t anyway. Everyone knows it." "No, Scott, its not. We're not in 1988 anymore. Baseball has had its steroid scandal just like we did. They're dealing with, and we have to do the same. This policy is our way of dealing with. And the policy isn't a suggestion. It's a condition of employment," I told him. "So you're firing me?" he sneered with disdain. Is this guy ever not in a**hole mode? "No," I told him bluntly. "Somebody up there must like you, because you're getting one last chance." He laughed at me. "Another 'last chance'? You know how many of those I've had? Like I said, this whole thing is a joke." In retrospect, I'm pretty sure Sinclair was just goading me for a> reaction. Well, he got it. I laid into him, practically yelling. "Listen you steroid-monkey meathead, this is your whole f*cking career on the line right now. You think this is a joke? Is your career a joke? Do you have any idea how many chances you've screwed yourself out of with this bullsh*t?" Sinclair was getting steamed and tried to interject, but I cut him off cold and kept ranting. I was standing now, leaning over the desk and staring down at him with authority, saying, "You want to know what's a joke? It was supposed to be you and Laramee winning the tag titles in February. Gilmore and Sexy got them after you tested positive in January. Funny, isn't it? And even after that, you were supposed to get in on this North American title thing that's coming up. But that's gone too after this test. That's two possible title runs that are gone just in the time that I've been here. How many chances do you think lost in the eighteen months before that?" He didn't know what to say. I was not done yet, though. I kept going. "This is the Supreme Wrestling Federation, Sinclair. The biggest and best in the world. It doesn't get any bigger in this industry and we both know it. This is the opportunity that every wrestler around the globe would kill for. The owner believes you can be a star, and no one knows wrestling better than him. He wants to make you a star. But he can't because you can't stop sticking a needle in your ass. You're blowing your chance. You're screwing yourself, Scott. No one here is out to get you or holding you back. You're doing a d*mned good job of doing that yourself. And when we do have to fire you for this shi*t, where do you go from here? Its all downhilll. Do you really think Cornell would take a chance on you when you can't even perform a body slam without botching it? Do you really want to be jobbing to Bruce the Giant and Peter Valentine in USPW? Or maybe Chord will give you a chance with Mid-Atlantic where you can so those kids how not to work a match? Bit of a step down, isn't it? I actually gave him a chance to answer. After he moment, he muttered, "Yeah, I guess." "It damned well is," I roared at him. "This is it. This is your last chance. I don't care who told you that before or whether they meant it. Because I do mean it. Absolutely. I have zero tolerance for people who don't think the rules apply to them. If you test positive for anything, you're gone. No chance to make excuses, no begging, nothing. Gone. I don't care if its steroids, weed, or a prescription drug that you can't provide a legal prescription for. You're done. And don't let the plate on the door fool you - we both know I have power here now. If you test positive again, it won't matter who tries to get you another last chance. I will fight to make sure you're gone. I will fight and I will win. And trust me, I won't be alone. Even Laremee will be on my side if I ever tell him that you screwed him out a chance at a title run. You have a good look and some mic skills, but you are entirely replaceable, Sinclair. Whether its someone like Valiant or that new guy, we could get rid of you and neither the locker room or the fans would remember you after a couple of weeks." The look on Sinclair's face was comical. There was shock and genuine concern there, but he couldn't quite get rid of the sneer. All he could manage to get out was a very weak, "Whatever." "Now get the hell out of my office. And go learn to sell or something!" I ordered. Before he could even get up, I went back what I had been working on prior to the meeting. I figured it was a pretty obvious way to make it clear we were done. Sinclair tried to still seem confident as he fled my office, but I could tell I rattled him. The look on his face alone told me he didn't know about the title runs he'd missed. Maybe he would even realize that Laramee might not be there for him any more. I held no illusions that I really "got through" to him, or that he would change. I knew there would be another meeting at some point where I would get to fire Big Smack Scott. There might be plenty of people in this place that expect a different result, but I don't. It might a week for now or it might be a year. Sinclair is going to go back to his familiar place of juicing. We're going to catch it on a test. And then I'm going to get to fire him for it. I must admit, that was fun. I can definitely see why wielding power is like a drug to some people. If heroin makes you feel anything I felt right after Sinclair left my office, I could get used to be a junkie. Of course, I couldn't know at that point what the fallout from that meeting would be. Would I still have handled myself the same way if I knew? Probably. I guess I'm stubborn like that... News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 4, April 2008 "If ever there was a week to tune in, this would be it! If you are a fan of the SWF, you cannot miss this weeks podcast! Or this weeks Supreme TV!" "Everything I'm hearing indicates that Supreme TV this week could be one for the ages. There's a lot to sort out as the fallout from The World is Watching event continues. The lineup of matches by itself is awesome." "Everyone is waiting to hear what Steve Frehley will have to say about the beatdown he took last week from Big Money Incorporated. As well as the explanation from his friends - Christian Faith, Lobster Warrior, and Jack Bruce - as to why they refrained from coming to Frehley's aid. What were they thinking? What could possibly justify that? I have a lot of thoughts to share on this." "Who should get the next shot at the tag team titles? Some feel the former champions Bumfhole's deserve another chance. But many fans are throwing their support behind Valiant & Giedroyc. I'll let you know where my feelings lie on that issue." "The early indications is that the card for the upcoming Master of Puppets pay per view could be fantastic. I'll share some of the bigger rumors floating on potential matches." "Richard Eisen will have a big announcement on the future of the SWF North American championship. Steve Frehley seemed to vacate the title last week. My sources close to Eisen indicate that he has been considering how to proceed and has come to a decision. That will be announced live on Supreme TV. Will Frehley be forced to defend? A battle royal? A tournament? I'll share what I think should happen." "I have also been hearing rumors that Richard Eisen has a wild card up his sleeve. That wild card will be revealed this week, according to certain people within SWF. Sorry, I can't name names. But the sources are trustworthy. The wild card may shock a few people." "The knee injury that Jack Bruce suffered several weeks ago may be worse than he's letting on. A source close to the SWF World Heavyweight champion told me he's seen a specialist this week. There is concern that he may have done further damage in the match against Remo at The World is Watching. Could the Long Island Angel be heading towards time on the shelf? What would that mean for his title reign? Bruce is scheduled to defend his belt on Supreme TV this week, though his opponent has yet to be announced. Some people feel it could be a member of Big Money Incorporated. Others feel that it will be Eisen's wild card coming into play immediately. As a fan, you can't miss it!" Steve Frehley: You guys thought I wanted to get beat down by those three Big Money thugs? Christian Faith: No. But we didn't want to get involved in your business. You've told me - told all of us - repeatedly. That you don't want other people sticking their noses in your business. And that's what we would have been doing. Steve Frehley: Maybe sometimes you should! Christian Faith: And how are we supposed to know when, Steve? We don't read minds. What is it you've told me a number of times? 'Steve Frehley takes care of his own business'. You've told me that time and again. You repeat it like a motto. So I believe you. As your friend, I respect that you want to deal with things on your own. Lobster Warrior: When you want help, all you have to do is ask. Jack Bruce: Show Time is always there for you, Steve. Steve Frehley: It sure doesn't seem that way, Jack. Christian Faith: Steve, I even told you last week that Money would try to get back at you after you laid down that belt. That he would respond, that all of them would respond. You told me, "I'll deal with it". You didn't want my advice and you didn't want my help. So how am I supposed to do the opposite of what you've already told me? Isn't that sticking my nose in your business. Steve Frehley: Well, I'll tell all of you this... You won't need to worry about "my business" anymore at all. Because after last week, I made a phone call. I reached out to someone who helped me out when I first got started in this business. A true friend. Someone who I know will have my back at all times. He helped me out a lot when I got started in wrestling. Taught me a helluva lot. He's been taking care of things in Japan for a few years, but you'll all get to know him very well. So now none of you three have to worry about coming out to help me ever again. I have my backup. I have the only friend I need. That's just the way it is. The actions of Steve Frehley lat week, the regrettable actions that I never expect out of an SWF champion, left me with a conundrum. But that's the kind of thing that I can handle. Because I didn't build this promotion into the biggest and best in the world by being a better businessman or more ruthless than anyone else. I built it by having better ideas. Emma Chase: You certainly did. Richard Eisen: So this was a minor problem for me to tackle. Not something I'm about to lose sleep over. Emma Chase: And, of course, you came to the best possible solution. Richard Eisen: Indeed I did, Emma. Starting next week, we will have an 8-man Grand Prix elimination tournament for the SWF North American championship. The crowd roars their approval. Eisen smiles and allows them to settl down again. Its odd for the CEO to get anything but heel heat, but the crowd seems to approve this time. Richard Eisen: The 8 participants will be randomly selected at the start of Supreme TV next week. The first two quarter final matches will take place next, the other two on the show following. The semi finals and finals will take place at the Master of Puppets show in Week 2 of May! The crowd roars again. Emma Chase: Eight men! One champion! Richard Eisen: Only one man can reign. Now, anyone wishing to enter the tournament will have until the end of the show tonight to submit their names to me backstage. The only stipulation is that any current belt-holder will have to vacate that title to participate. Emma Chase: So choose carefully, boys, but choose quickly! The two depart the ring, with a surprising and lingering roar of approval following them up the ramp. Grade: A
Peter Michaels: It all starts next week! Both her and Rich Money got a heated reception from the crowd. As always, Money's strutting fires up the crowd. When they get to the ring, the former North American champion shushes the crowd, which gets them further riled. Rich Money: Now, let me start by saying that I'm not the kind of man who bothers much with self-reflection. When you're as talented and successful as I am, its just not necessary. But for the past week, I've been thinking long and hard about the SWF North American title belt. Emma and I have been having some serious discussions about my future. Emma Chase: Obviously, we knew about the Grand Prix tournament for the belt well before anyone else. Those are the benefits of being as well connected as Big Money Incorporated is. The crowd again showers the duo with heat. Rich Money: Now, we're completely confident that if I am going to enter this tournament, I will emerge victorious. I am money, after all. But the simple question - do I want to? Is being the secondary champion in the greatest wrestling promotion in the whole d*mned world good enough for Rich Money? Emma Chase: Of course its not! Rich Money: No, it isn't. Its time for Rich Money to move on. Just like I've moved on from worrying about Steve Frehley. He might have won my belt, but you all saw me kick his *ss last week on Supreme TV. So I'd say we're even. And to be perfectly honest, I have more important things to worry about. Like winning the World Heavyweight championship. The crowd lets Big Money Incorporated know how they feel about that possibility. Rich Money: As the Alpha Dogs of the SWF, its only a matter of time before one of us gets that title from Jack Bruce. And I figure it might as well be me. Emma Chase: Someone who knows how to be a champion. Unlike Jack Bruce! Rich Money: That's right. Someone who will be prestige and pride to the belt. I've done all I can for the North American title. Its time to make the World Heavyweight belt mean something again! Emma Chase: After how much Jack Bruce has tarnished that championship, its going to need a lot of work! Rich Money: That's true, Emma. But I'm confident. Confident about getting that belt and confident about being worthy of it. I'll take down Jack Bruce and become the next champion of the SWF. You can bank on it. The duo take their team leaving the ring and getting up the ramp, as they rile up the crowd the entire time. Both show master manipulation skills. Grade: A*
Peter Michaels: Those two are no good! Jerry Eisen: I dunno, I think Mr. Bruce keeps that belt pretty clean! Richard Eisen: If you were the kind of champion that this federation needs, I wouldn't need to do that, Jack. If you were the kind of champion that these fans deserve... Jack Bruce: You sure do know how to treat your Supreme Legends... Richard Eisen: Don't deceive yourself, Bruce. You aren't a Supreme Legend yet. Not by a long shot. One title reign doesn't make you a Legend in the SWF. You could be. From the moment you walked into Supreme One, I wanted to make you the centerpiece of the Supreme Empire. But you didn't want that. You didn't want to work with me. I still remember your "Show Time isn't a puppet" speech from a year ago. You wanted to forge your own path. So instead of being a true Supreme Legend, you get to be another talented guy who held the SWF World title for a bit and that's it. Jack Bruce: Jack Bruce isn't a puppet! And he d*mned sure isn't your puppet, Eisen. I would rather lay down this belt and walk away than be the kind of champion you wanted me to be! Richard Eisen: That can be arranged. Jack Bruce: You think I would make it that easy for you? You can keep sending your puppets after Show Time and keep watching them fall. You'll never take this belt away from me! Richard Eisen: Don't be so sure. I have someone special for you tonight. Jack Bruce: I'm not wrestling tonight. Richard Eisen: Last time I checked the booking sheet, your name was on there. Let me see here... main event... Jack Bruce... versus To Be Announced for the SWF World Heavyweight championship. Yup, that's definitely you, Jack. Jack Bruce: My doctor... Richard Eisen: Yes, yes, I know. You gave a note from your specialist about your knee. Your bad right knee. That's all well and good, Jack. But while a doctor's note might enough to excuse from class at school,it doesn't supersede the Supreme Wrestling Federation Charter. I know the Charter pretty well, being that I was the one who wrote it. And that charter states that an SWF title-holder who is unable to defend that title, by reason of injury or persoal matters, in a match booked with advance notice, is subject to forfeiture of said title. Which is really just a fancy way to say that if you can't defend tonight, you give up that belt. Jack Bruce: You're just looking for a way to steal my belt, Eisen! Richard Eisen: I prefer to say that I'm looking for a way to have the belt around the waist of a wrestler than Supreme can be proud of, Jack. And that definitely isn't you. Now, since you've been scheduled to defend your precious belt here tonight for several weeks, you have two options. Its really up to you. Jack Bruce: Show Time doesn't back down from anyone. Richard Eisen: Excellent, Jack. It will be so much more satisfying to see you lose than to strip you of the belt. Jack Bruce: Only in your dreams, Eisen. Richard Eisen: My dreams have a way of coming true. Oh, and you'll love your opponent for tonight. He's going to be what you could have been, Jack. He's going to be the new face of SWF. With a malicious grin, Eisen slow makes his way back up the ramp. Bruce takes his time, playing up to the crowd and screaming "It's Show Time!" at them. He does take it easy on his knee, however. Then a bit of heat as the fans realize that he is the opponent for the match. The two men size each other up slowly, engaging gradually. Neither man knows the other, and its a cautious start. The power of Golden carries him early. Bruce has a problem not only with the size and power of the newcomer, but also with his knee. Its clearly bothering him throughout the match. The champion works past the pain, however, and the fans love him for it. Golden slowly wears Bruce down, until Bruce takes the match off the mat and to the air. Golden has no answer for that. Thanks guys. Great to know its being read and enjoyed. The music is fun. It wasn't something I was going to do off the start, but once I added, I couldn't stop. I've been picking rather carefully, and most of the songs are intended to say or mean something. Well, almost all of them. The Avatar "Random Thought of the Day" segments are one of the most fun parts to write. Very gradually telling the "real world" backstory. Have some fun backstage stuff planned that could be interesting. Going to try to keep going with this diary for a bit. I have a ton of ideas that I would like to see play out. Might update a bit less frequently, as I've been dying to play a game with TCW that I could move through less slowly than this game.

Random thought of the day... for every action, there has to be a reaction. It doesn't seem like the reaction has to be equal, and sometimes its something you don't expect, but there is going to be a reaction. It didn't take long for the fallout from my explosion at Sinclair to begin dropping from the sky. Within days, half the roster seemed to be looking at my differently. Most of the looks seemed to be a bit more respectful, but a few of those looks seemed to a harbor a bit of suspicion as well. It definitely feels like things are changing with how most of the roster regards me, and I'm not certain yet if it's a positive development or not. What I am hearing is second second or even third hand. But it seems as though there are two different versions of the meeting circulating about. One is cleary sourced from Sinclair himself, as it has him laughing off all my blustering, calling my bluff, and generally coming out of the meeting looking good while I played the fool. The other version is shockingly accurate. But that didn't come from me and I can't imagine it came from Sinclair. Unless he told the real story to someone like Laramee and they circulated it? More likely is that someone with an office near mine overheard everything and passed it around. I did leave my door open and I was definitely loud enough to be overheard. At least most people seem to be buying the real story and not Sinclair's work of fiction. Being looked at with increasing respect is definitely not a bad thing. But the consequences of that might be. It seems like some of the younger guys that I know pretty well, who I've basically started out with, are treating me a bit different. A bit less like a friend and a bit more respectful, like they would with a superior. Which I guess I am, but I don't want to be treated like I'm just their superior and no longer a friend. But now I've got guys like Devine and Parker calling me "sir" all the time, and they mean it completely with respect. Are they ever going to see me just as an equal again? Unlikely. Of course, I can count on Robbie not changing his attitude towards me. We've become pretty good friends and are too honest with each other for him to start showing any respect at this point. I also like that he has a different perspective on things. He's the same age as me, but he's been in the business longer. When we grabbed some food the other day, the Sinclair incident was the primary topic. "So did you really tell him that Cornell would laugh in his face if he ever tried to pick up with TCW, and that he'd end up jobbing to Valentine in USPW?" Robbie asked as he munched on his quesedilla and made eyes at a couple blondes a tables over. I shook my head, saying, "I told him Cornell wouldn't take a chance on him. Did say he could end up in USPW jobbing to Bruce or Valentine." "Nice. Can you imagine Valentine versus Sinclair? Now that would be a match to see." "Talk about a train wreck. And those girls are high school, dude." "Yeah, they probably are. Anyway, you got the roster talking. That's a story that's going to be circulating around for a bit," he told me. "I even heard that a version of it made it onto a couple of the wrestling boards." "Great. Probably the one where Sinclair looks good. Anyway, what's the locker room saying about me?" Robbie shrugged. He said, "Everyone knows that Scott juices and that he's been given too many chances already. Most people that I've heard talk about it think its great that someone finally got in his face about it. The guy's a menace and honestly, pretty much everyone thinks he doesn't deserve to be in Supreme at all." "But what about me? Are they scared of me now?" "Are they supposed to be?" "No! I don't want to be seen as any different from any other young guy on the roster. Just another wrestler paying my dues! I don't want everyone looking at me with fear." Robbie put his food down and gave me a serious look over his sunglasses. He said, "Looks, its pretty d*mned clear that you're not just another guy on the roster at this point. I think even Brandon may have it figured out. You never wrestle but you're at every show. Everyone on the Creative Committee defers to you, even Michaels and he's supposed to be the Head. You even have your own office at Supreme One! There's no hiding it. No use pretending. It would be like Eric E. trying pretend he's not part of the Eisen clan." All I could manage to mutter was a weak, "D*mn. I suppose" Even Richard Eisen gave me a thumbs up on the way I handled the Sinclair deal. "Heard it went really well," he told me. "Knew you could handle it." I nodded, but said, "I got my point across, but I doubt he's going to change. I would be shcoked if we don't get another positive back in the next couple of months." The Supreme supremo nodded and shrugged, saying, "Probably. We'll deal with it if it happens." Will Eisen really let me fire Sinclair when he screws up again? I sure hope so. At this point, I dislike Sinclair more than I dislike Bowen. I wasn't exaggerating when I told Big Smack Scott that I would fight to get him fired if he tests positive again. I absolutely will. In the meantime, though, I have other things to worry about. Robbie is right - there's really no way to hide my role anymore. With increasing frequency, workers are coming to me with stuff that should be brought to the Head Booker. From complaints to concerns to ideas, more of it is being brought directly to me rather than arriving indirectly. Michaels seems happy with that, too. I'm not catching the feeling that many are having an issue with it, which is a relief. I guess there's no use pretending I'm just another wrestler anymore. I guess is Eisen and Michaels were hoping to force me to establish my authority a bit more by having me deal with the Sinclair situation, it worked. Even if they had me deal with simply because they didn't want the headache, I guess it still worked. Is there going to be further fallout? I have the feeling there will be, but I just don't know what yet. Sunday, Week 4, April, 2008 Avatar

It did just that and more. The rivalry between Total Championship Wrestling and the Supreme Wrestling Federation is typically called the "Tuesday Night War", and that rivalry shifted into overdrive this month. TCW actually beat SWF in the ratings war for the first time in a long time in the 2nd week of April. It was a short-lived victory, as Supreme put on a series of very solid shows through the month and took back the ratings lead. TCW's Monday night Wrestle Grand Prix continued to pull very impressive ratings, though the caliber of the shows themselves seemed to have dropped a bit. Richard Eisen did manage to extract some revenge on his rivals, as he signed away one of Total's biggest stars in Rocky Golden. The 24-year old looks like he could become a global star for Supreme, much as Jack Bruce has since making the same move four years ago. Tana also made the same move, but comes with less star quality and less expectations. Insiders believe that TCW will struggle to replace Golden with someone of equal popularity, and that the worlds number two promotion is desperate to ensure that no other stars jump ship to the SWF when their contracts come due. In April, SWF saw two title changes as well as added a new title, dubbed the SWF Generations championship, for the younger wrestlers. TCW saw the unassuming Harry Allen win the All-Action title from Sammy Bach. In bigger surprise, Charlie Thatcher defeated Wolf Hawkins for the International championship at the start of the month, only to lose it to Rick Law at the end of the month on his first defense. It was a busy month for Hawkins, as he also turned face after losing his belt and looks set to rival his mentor Tommy Cornell. Though United States Pro Wrestling continues to fly under the radar for many wrestling fans in America, Sam Strong's promotion continues to build a strong fanbase. The shows continue to grow in quality, as well. The USPW Television title changed hands, as Nicky Champion was pinned by veteran Freddie Datsun. And Strong's daughter, Alicia, finally won the Women's Championship from Cherry Bomb. Amongst the smaller promotions, things continued much as they have. CZCW put on a very good April show at the Spring Break Bash 2008. The Coastal Zone Championship was won by Erik Strong at the show. Rhode Island Pro Wrestling also put on a quality show. Steve Flash defeated Nevada Nuclear for the RIPW Championship at the School's Out show. Also of note was NYCW legend The Stomper finally retiring from active competition. The American wrestling fan continues to have plenty of choices, and some great quality wrestling from the top promotions.
Canada
The DeColt family and their Canadian Golden Combat enjoyed a pretty good month in April. Unfortunately for them, the Stone family's North of the Border Pro Wrestling had a very good month. The mid-month pay per view event Super Slam was a classic. It was as good a display of pure wrestling as you will see in North America. If NOTBPW continues on its solid run, many industry insiders are predicting that the promotion will hit National status before the end of the year. As the Stone's offer a product that is a bit different from what any American promotions offer, its possible that the Canadians could break into the American market to some degree. Of course, its the same prediction that many industry insiders have been making for a long time. In 2007, losing Duane Stone and firing Edd Stone put NOTBPW back a step. Given their quality, its unlikely that the likes of Johnny Bloodstone, Dark Angel, and Sean McFly are being overlooked by SWF, TCW, and Japan's biggest players. Losing some of their top talent has to be a major concern for Dan Stone's promotion, but its a reality that they face.
Mexico
It was an interesting month in Mexico. South of the Border Pro Wrestling, of course, maintained their spot at the top of the lucha libre world. The promotion has not quite fully recovered from the loss of top star Champagne Lover, but no single man makes any promotion. The month of April did see Hijo Del Mephisto win the Campeón de Menor from Blood Raven. In OLLIE, the only real news of note was the Swarm II and Swarm III winning the Campeón de Parejas. MPWF had a very good month. The promotions Epidemia Del Odio event was easily the best in Mexico through all of April. The Campeón de Herencia de Mundo match between Ultimate Phoenix and Soul Taker was as good a wrestling match as lucha libre presents. The upstart hardcore promotion, MHW, held its second show which was rather forgettable. The unique promotion faces an uphill battle to challenge any of Mexico's three bigger promotions.
United Kingdom
21st Century Wrestling maintained its top spot in the United Kingdom but was unable to halt its backward slide. Jeff Nova's promotion continued to lose popularity. 21CW is in a bad spot after losing two of its biggest stars - Joss Thompson and Adam Matravers - in the preceding months. Of course, things are still worse for 21CW's competition. Men of Steel Combat gained a small degree of popularity but Ring of Fire did nothing but maintain.
Japan
It was a huge month for Pride Glory Honor Wrestling. The ownership and booking of Eiasku Hoshino lead the promotion to finally overtake Burning Hammer as the number one promotion in Japan. PGHW moved fully into the number three spot in the world. The news only got worse for Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods. They started the month by losing their television slot for Lords of the Ring. BHOTWG is still capable of putting on top-caliber shows, but they are inconsistent, while consistency is PGHW's greatest attribute. The month of April did see White Samurai winning the Burning Openweight Championship after Reijiro Hiraki won and lost the belt within a week. As well, the combo of VENOM and Yoshi Shiomi won the Burning Junior Tag Team belts. BHOTWG not only has to look up at PGHW, but has to keep a sharp on those promotoins below it. World Level Wrestling had a consistently successful month, putting on solid show after solid show on its Ragged Glory Tour. The new World Level Intercontinetal belt was claimed by Tsurayuki Kamachi at the start of April. As well, Silver Shark won the Show Stealer title and the Tag Team belt was won by The Incredible KOYAMA and KONI Ishibashi. Wrestling insiders around the globe are watching Japan closely. The rest of 2008 could see anything happen - PGHW hitting the heights that Burning Hammer once enjoyed, WLW continuing its climb, even BHOTWG reclaiming its top spot. In this crazy sports, anything is possible.
Australia
To say it was a quiet month on the Australian wrestling scene would be an understatement. After the excitement of March which saw a drug overdose, all that April featured was a rather forgettable monthly show from Australian Pro Wrestling. It seems like more Aussie wrestling fans are trying to find out how Swoop McCarthy is going in the SWF than actually watching wrestling at home.

News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 1, May 2008 "Last week, Richard Eisen once again shocked the wrestling world by unveiling Rocky Golden. The new signing could prove to be as big the 2004 coup, when Supreme signed Jack Bruce. There are some within this promotion - and I'm one of them - who feel that Golden is set to become a global wrestling superstar." "There are rumblings that there could be more signings heading to Supreme. No indication of who or from where, but this is definitely a rumor we will be following closely to see if it does indeed lead somewhere." "For as much hype as they came in with, the tag team Badd Kompany hasn't done much yet. That has not dampened expectations, as there are many insiders who feel this could be one of the best tag teams in wrestling within a very short period. The wrestling background is certainly for both of them. I'll have some quotes from a few insiders that I trust." "One of the oddest questions I've heard asked recently is what happened to Christian Faith's head? Referring of course to the head from Christian Faith's statue which was recently vandalized by Big Money Incorporated, and the head taken. I have no idea, but I'll share some of the more humorous thoughts fans have sent me!" "Jack Bruce is not scheduled to appear on Supreme TV this week and the speculation is that its his lingering knee injury. Will the champion have to take time off? Will it cost him the belt he hold so dear? Its almost certain that he will be required to defend the World Heavyweight championship at Master of Puppets... We talked about this last week, but as its a potentially huge story for Supreme, we're going to talk about it some more!" "The possible matches for Master of Puppets is another hot topic. We'll talk about some of the big potential line-ups for the upcoming pay per view event, and why you can't afford to miss it." "Another huge question on the minds of every fan is just how will the Grand Prix tournament for the North American championship work? I'll have to low-down on how its all going to go down, and it starts this Tuesday night! Don't miss Supreme TV!" Giedroyc and Valiant have both been kinda floating along. Its been intentional. I do have plans for them, but mainly wanted to spend a awhile building them as a tag team. I didn't want to do much in terms of storylines or promos with them, as I was a bit concerned about them getting more over and that causing problems. Seems like an odd problem to have, but I had two guys who are primarily tag team workers at this point - Randy Bumfhole and Angry Gilmore - hit main event status without intending. I did intend that for both of them eventually, just not quite yet. I've rolled with it, but it does make moving the tag belts around tougher. That said, you will be seeing more out of Giedroyc and Valiant both in the near future. As for Money, he's definitely one of my MVPs. I do have big plans for him, but they might not be quite what you expect.

The opener for the night is a back-and-forth match that offers both brawling and technical grappling. In the end, its Christian Faith prevailing as everyone expects. A strong match to open the show, but not quite as strong as some of Faith's recent matches. Christian Faith Wins at 11:05 via Pinfall Grade: B
Peter Michaels: Now the Grand Prix draw that everyone has been waiting for. A table and lottery ball system have been set up in the middle of the ring. Eisen is wearing a particularly well-tailored suit. Richard Eisen: I'd like to welcome everyone here and everyone watching at live at home. You all have the chance to be witness to something that hasn't happened in the Supreme Wrestling Federation in a long time - a title tournament. The North American Championship Grand Prix is the first tournament for a title belt in more than a decade. Tonight we will draw and witness the first two matches. To assist me with that, I'd like to welcome one of the most beautiful women in this business! She is dressed a bit more business-like than normal. She does not look particular pleased to be out there. Richard Eisen: Thanks for coming out, Jessie. Now, we knew that having a tournament for a title like the North American championship was going to be a big deal. Its the kind of belt that everyone in SWF wants. Well, everyone except Steve Frehley, it seems. Last week, everyone who wants to be involved in this Grand Prix was given a chance to enter their names. I'll let Jessie explain how this is going to work. Jessie: Thanks Richard. There are the thirty-six lottery balls in this cage. Each ball contains the name of a wrestler who asked to be entered into the Grand Prix. We will draw four balls to determine the two Quarter Final matches that will be held tonight. As she is talking, Jessie holds up a white ping-pong ball with the name of Lobster Warrior on it. This gets a pop from the crowd. She smiles, and places that ball into the round cage. Jessie: Four more names will be drawn next week on Supreme TV to determine the other two Quarter Final matches. The Semi Final matches and Final will be seen as part of the Master of Puppets pay per view. Richard Eisen: It all starts here, tonight. The Grand Prix that no wrestling fan can afford to miss! Now Jessie, let's get this started! Jessie closes up the cage and spins it. With overwrought drama, she stops it, reaches in, and withdraws a ball. Richard Eisen: And the first participant in the Grand Prix is... Valiant! Valiant With a medium pop from the crowd and some fireworks, Valiant walks out to the top of the ramp. He is highlighted by a small direct spotlight. Richard Eisen: And Valiant's opponent tonight will be... Jessie withdraws another ball and hands it to Eisen. Richard Eisen: Will be Enygma! Enygma The masked man also gets a medium reception from the crowd as he takes his place on the platform at the top of the ramp. Richard Eisen: So the first Grand Prix match will be Valiant versus Enygma. Jessie: Now for the second match . Jessie digs out another ball, handing it to the boss. Richard Eisen: The first participant in the second match tonight is going to be... Marc DuBois! Marc DuBois DuBois comes out smiling. He gets a solid reception from the crowd. Richard Eisen: The final participant tonight will be... Robbie Retro. He comes out and mugs to the crowd. Richard Eisen: Tonight, these four men will try to advance in the Grand Prix. Try to take one step closer to winning this title. The SWF North American championship! While Eisen talks, Jessie has the title belt and slowly shows it to the whole crowd. Grade: B
Peter Michaels: The first tournament match will be up shortly. First, we have Joe Sexy taking on Zimmy Bumfhole! The lack of crowd heat drags the match down notably. Both Randy Bumfhole and Angry Gilmore are ringside, to cheer their respective tag team partners on. Near the end of the match, as Zimmy Bumfhole is controlling things, it appears that Gilmore may interfere on Sexy's behalf. He holds back, however, and Zimmy manages to get the victory. Diaz shows off the intensity that made him a fan favorite in Japan, while Golden does a good job of showing off his heelish ways. It takes a bit of underhand play to give Golden the win, but he celebrates regardless. Christian Faith goes on the mic first. Christian Faith: I'm out here tonight to point out that I'm still here. In case Brandon James and the rest of Big Money Incorporated hasn't noticed, Christian Faith hasn't gone anywhere. I'm still, the backbone of this promotion as I have been for two decades. And I'm not going anywhere. Because I have faith! The crowd roars their approval. Christian Faith: What I don't have is a head. That is, my statue doesn't. A statue at Supreme One that was dedicated to me to honor the years of hard-work and blood that I've put into this promotion. Now, no one in Supreme management seemed to have a problem with a bunch of thugs desecrating that statue. I can deal with that. I can accept it. But what I can't accept it those thugs stealing part of that statue. So I'm calling out Brandon James, Remo, and Rich Money. If you have any honor at all, you'll return what you stole. Lobster Warrior: Don't count on that, Christian. Big Money Incorporated have no honor. None at all. And that's something that does fly with the Crustacean Nation. Christian Faith: It shouldn't fly in this promotion at all. The Supreme Wrestling Federation used to be a place where respect and honor mattered. Not any more. Lobster Warrior: And speaking of no honor, the Lobster Warrior has a few words for Remo. Remo who keeps talking about destroying the Lobster Warrior and all of Crustacaen Nation. Remo who keeps interfering with Lobster Warriors' matches. Remo who keeps attacking people from behind. Well Remo is about to learn what it's like to receive what he dishes. You called the tune, Remo. Now its time to pay the piper! Don't say you weren't warned! Grade: A
Peter Michaels: Those two do not seem happy right now. After the great promo from Faith and Warrior, the crowd is hot and they are all over the match from the start. The two wrestlers deliver, putting on a great back-and-forth war that shows off a bit of everything. Giedroyc acquits himself well, almost pinning Gilmore more than once. Gilmore eventually manages to get the submission and take the win. Bumfhole gives Money all he can handle. Both Zimmy Bumfhole and Emma Chase are at ringside and both get involved at various points, but its not enough to influence the decision of the match. Money actually wrestles clean and he does it well enough to eventually get the win. Afterward, he spends some time preening and posing, which the crowd does not appreciate. Caufield attempts to take advantage early and goes for several early pins. Remo is able to power through and eventually composes himself enough to begin take over the match with his explosive offense. At that point, Lobster Warrior comes out to ringside and simply watches. The presence of the crustacean proves a distraction to Remo, who almost loses due to it. When Remo chooses to ignore the presence of his nemesis and focus on Caufield, Lobster Warrior again does something uncharacteristic when he attacks Remo with a chair when the big man is on the outside. The referee calls the match in favor of Remo. Standing over a prone Remo once again, Lobster Warrior gives an apologetic nod to Chris Caufield who is still in the ring. Caufield smiles and shrugs. Remo Wins at 13:55 via Disqualification Grade: A
Peter Michaels: What has Remo less loose in Lobster Warrior? What has he done? I've said this a couple times now, but I'm not sure how much further I'm going to go with this. I'm still enjoying it, and I have a ton of ideas I would like to see play out. But the writing is time-consuming and makes the actual game-play slow going. I've got another game going now with another promotion and would like to spend some time with that. I'm not abandoning this - yet - but may not update much more. What I may do if I get to the point where I realize I won't go any further at all is post most of the long-term ideas I have for the diary. To share where I was going to go with all of it and in case any of the ideas may help others with their games.
