SWF: Generation Supreme

???? vs Texas Pete Pete's already been ousted as the "first victim of The Cousin"....which is why I predict this won't be that cousin's debut. Too obvious, even for this dynasty. :p Pete still loses though..as for who to? Hmm...well...Giant Tana? Yeah, Giant Tana, that sounds right. The Upper Class vs High Concept for the SWF Sky Club Division Tag Team Championships Boy, those guys have held these straps for a while..not really any other team that can take them, eh? Sorta like when Rey Mysterio was last Cruiserweight Champion, and everyone's like "Who the hell's gonna take it from him?!" Lords of Pure vs Strong Machine vs Jett Stream Well, one of those guys are going to have to win, eventually, right? (...right?) So why not here? Lords of Pure have more character then the others, but I'm still picking Jett Stream, they've been with SWF for, like, seven months now, they have to be the more experianced team. Bryan Holmes vs El Leon Yeah, Leon's first win isn't gonna be over Holmes. Art Reed vs Rocky Golden Oooh, here's an interesting match-up. I expected this to be saved for a PPV, but maybe Art Reed still isn't big enough for that? Well, this isn't really that easy to pick. On the one hand, Golden's the bigger name. On the other, Reed's gotten a few minor upsets lately, and him getting a win over a wrestler who's main gimmick is being over-rated, is a great way of showing how under appreciated Reed was. All the same..eh, I give it to Golden. Just kind of a feeling. Golden needs momentum, as he's going to be facing The Cousin eventually, I'd have to assume.. Akima Brave vs Chris Morrisette Brave's the better of the two Wildboyz..but all that will mean in this match is Morrisette beats the better of his team. Steve Frehley vs Mr. Hill So Frehley's still face for the moment, eh? (You kind of acted like he turned heel all of a sudden..) Can't really see him turning in his match..although, now that I think of it, he WOULD make an awesome Bounty Hunter..hmm..

The ???? here is "the cousin". He is the one facing Texas Pete. Yes, its that obvious. And just in case anyone is wonder, Dani's cousin is separate from The Forsaken. And in case anyone noticed, the tag three-way is three face teams. Yeah, stupendous booking on my part. I have to admit, I got sloppy on this show when it came to making the match ups. I was so excited about debuting "the cousin" that I didn't give it the careful review I normally do before putting every show in. As for Mr. Frehley, he is indeed technically still a face. The heel turn has sorta been going on since the Times of Trouble pay per view in June. I would like to think its the most gradual heel turn possible. That won't last much longer, and he's going to fully turn in the coming weeks - I just want the reach the right catalyst point. In the meantime, I might "tweener" him and have him face both faces and heels in the meantime. As for the match this week, there is a specific reason he's facing one of the Silverback's, which will be made clear in the show.

The big Texan is in his ring gear. It is notable the Tyler's ever-present Watchmen trio are not present. It's the GM who has the microphone. He starts the show by saying that he has gathered with the Faction tonight to see just who Dani Nevada's "cousin" is. Because Tyler sure as hell didn't bring anyone on board. Which means that Phil Vibert is behind this new addition. Just like Vibert is behind everything negative that happens on the Legends brand, a little fact that the actual General Manager is getting a bit tired of. He knows that Vibert is behind Brandon James regressing into "Big Cat", for example. Talented wrestlers like James should be looking to move forward, not looking to the past. Tyler says there is one thing he needs to address, which is the proposed match between SWF Supreme Championship Christian Faith and SWF World Heavyweight champion Rich Money at SWF Christmas Clash 2008. Tyler says that the match will happen, but significant negotiations remain between himself and the new General Manager of the Supreme brand, Eric Eisen. It remains unclear at this point which, if either, of the belts will be on the line. As the Supreme Wrestling Federation Charter indicates a member of the SWF roster can only hold one singles title at a time, it is impossible for either man to hold both belts. In addition, the belts are attached to the brand and winning one of them would mean that wrestler switching brands... Tyler muses that while the Legends brand “losing faith” might not be such a bad thing, the Supreme brand is unwilling to risk losing their money-maker. So things will have to be sorted out. In the meantime, there is the rest of tonight to look forward to. And to get the rest of the evening, they first need to get through this little farce of an introduction. So if Dani Nevada pleases, the GM would appreciate if she would get on with this introduction so that they can all move along. Dani Nevada Dani emerges through the Supreme Gate and gets a decent pop from the crowd. She stands on the stage, one hand on her hip and the other holding a microphone, and she wears a slight smirk on her face as she waits for the crowd to quiet down. The sexy manager is without Art Reed for the introduction. When the crowd quiets a bit, Dani says that she was not exaggerating when she said that her family was amongst the most important in wrestling. In Canada, where most of her family is from, the family name is synonymous with professional wrestling. There are many who feel that they are the very definition of what this business is about. Because there are few better in that ring than her family. In fact, there may be no one in the entire world better in that ring than her family. Because Dani is... a Stone... The crowd hushes at the announcement. Music begins to play... The crowd starts to warm up, growing louder as Audioslave's “Like a Stone” plays... There are several of options of just who could emerge through the Supreme Gate, but there is one option that the fans seem to hope for.... Dan Stone Jr The man... The myth... The legend... The crowd pops pretty good as Dan Stone Jr walks through the Supreme Gate and stands beside his cousin, Dani Stone. The reaction of those in the ring is big – Golden, Pearce, and Tyler all look shocked. Texas Pete looks fearful. Bloodstone looks stern and unhappy. Only Rex manages to avoid much in the way of an overt reaction. The wrestler takes the microphone from his cousin. The rugged, burly middleweight grins as the crowd pops just before he speaks, making him wait before he can say anything. When they quiet a bit, he says that for those who don't know who he is, his name is Dan Stone Jr and he's the best damned wrestler in the world. That's not bragging, he says, but simple fact. The crowd reacts, perhaps agreeing with him. Stone has a direct and honest way on the microphone, complimented by his slight Atlantic accent that comes across as a bit of a drawl. The legendary wrestler continues, saying that he's here because he's not too happy about how his little cousin Dani has been treated here in the SWF. But its more than that. He's here because some people seem to have forgot what this business is about. People like those in the ring. And some of them should know better, Stone says, pointing out Bloodstone. What happened to you, Johnny, he demands to know. Where did you go wrong? But he's also here to show these fans the Stone way of doing things. And it starts tonight. Grade: A
Duane Fry: Its Dan Stone! Its Dan Stone! Oh my lord, its Dan Stone! Phil Vibert: Uh, yeah, we're excited too, Duane. Despite the number of bodies directly around the ring, the focus is clearly on the action in the ring. Its not a squash match, really, because Pete does try to fight back. He tries to take the action to the débutante from the start, but DSJ has a counter for everything that the big cowboy attempts. He is a step ahead, and it comes across that its simply that he's that damned good. He works over his bigger opponent, relatively rag-dolling the 340-pound Pete with perfect suplexes and backbreakers. DSJ then begins to work over Pete's ankle with his trademark stomps. Rex makes as though he is going to climb into the ring and interfere, but a cold hard stare from Stone stops him dead. Then Stone locks in his Stone Ankle Stretch and Pete is quick to tap out. The Upper Class duo push the champions, but the easy familiarity of Benson and Bling makes all the difference. Its interesting in that it highlights the unique skillet of Pathlow and Perez. While the other two teams are both more of regular high-flying tandems, the Lords offer that and much more. They combine the impressive spots with decent technical wrestling and perhaps the stiffest-looking strikes in the SWF. CL Machine takes a particularly rough beating, his chest red from Pathlow's chops and all but getting his head kicked in by Perez. Perez scores the pinfall on Strong after he delivers a Shining Wizard and Pathlow follows that up with a moonsault. It starts with Steve Frehley and Ray Diaz walking into the arena through a security entrance. The duo stop cold just inside the entrace, as their way is blocked by Sara Silver and her Silverback trio. Frehley slowly eyes his opponent for tonight, Mr. Hill, and the rest. His eyes are cold and he looks ready to unleash violence without warning. Sara Silver manages to diffuse the potentially-explosive situation with a big smile as she steps up to Frehley. Silver has more of an air of cold professionalism than the flirtatious approach of Emma Chase, but Silver still knows how to use come across as a touch seductive at times as well. Silver begins by saying that it isn't very often that she agrees with Emma Chase. But what Chase told him at the pay per view last week was very true – if Frehley can find a way to unleash the aggression he once had, he could again become the most destructive force in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. She admits that she asked for Tyler to make the match tonight between Mr. Hill and Frehley because she wants a chance to observe The Dark Destroyer up close. When Frehley asks why she cares, the agent laughs. She says that a good agent is always on the lookout. And the truth is that even the most destructive force in the world needs a bit of guidance to be effective. It might just be that her Silverbacks could use a little leadership . But it all depends on whether or not the Steve Frehley of old really is here to say. Mr. Hill and Mr. Anderson don't look too pleased at the possibility of Frehley becoming a Silverback, but they say nothing. After considering the not-quite-an-offer for a moment, Frehley nods and says he'll think about it. Then he continues on into the backstage area, Diaz following behind him. Grade: B+
Duane Fry: The Silverback Steve Frehley? Now there's a scary thought... The cold-blooded Holmes is able to counter much of the quick offense of “The Lion”, however. Its not simply a matter of the 242 pound Holmes squashing the “flippity floppity” masked wrestler, as El Leon shows determination as he never stops coming after the Watchman. The crowd pops as El Leon pinwheels into an out-of-nowhere Hurricanrana, then goes for his Split Second Justice super kick. Holmes sees it coming, and ducks under the kick. He counters with a neckbreaker, followed up by a big suplex. He then earns the pin on El Leon with his Final Impact full nelson suplex into a back bridge. But before the interviewer can even introduce herself, Emma grabs away the microphone and shoves Ana off camera. Chase needs no help here. Emma says that those people who think she's done after what has happened the in the past week are sorely mistaken. Emma Chase lands on her feet, she promises. She is going to remain a powerful force within the Supreme Wrestling Federation. And she won't forget those who have wronged her.... because she knows that Phil Vibert worked to undermine her influence on Brandon James and convince him to put that stupid face paint back on. To turn back into an overgrown child. One of the biggest stars in the SWF throwing his career away... and Vibert is to blame. But Emma will make sure that he pays for his meddling. With that Chase storms off the set. There are basically two things that become apparent in this match – “The Bulldog” Art Reed is endlessly tenacious and Rocky Golden is quite cowardly. The Golden Boy does plenty of stalling in this one, as he finds the smaller Reed taking the fight to him. Dani Nevada – or is Stone now? - is at ringside with Reed and continually calling out advice. But that ends up to be Reed's downfall. After Reed counters Golden several times and scores a couple of near falls, Golden slides out of the ring to confer with Kristen Pearce. When Golden climbs back into the ring to engage Reed, Pearce sneaks around the ring to attack Nevada. This provides a distraction for Golden to take advantage of, rolling up Reed and grabbing his tights to get the pin. Golden starts to celebrate his rather unsavory victory... but stops cold when he realizes that Dan Stone Jr is standing on the stage and gazing at him with a hard stare... Rocky Golden Wins at 10:34 via Pinfall Grade: B

Big Cat Brandon, Chris Morrisette + Chris Caufield In-Ring Promo Chris Squared - Chris Morrisette and Chris Caufield – are down in the ring. When the loud love from the crowd finally dies down, Morrisette speaks. He says that he made the right decision in moving to join the Legends brand. The Legends brand has the right idea, and the leadership of Phil Vibert will help make the brand the best place for pure wrestling in the entire world. But there are elements that are doing everything they can do undermine that. And that's why the alliance was formed between Christian Faith, Chris Caufield, and now Morrisette. Because someone has to stand up to the Golden Faction and Tyler's Watchmen. Morrisette promises that the alliances fight against these two scourges of what the Legends brand should stand for. And now, they have a new ally in this fight... There is a massive pop from the crowd as “Life to Lifeless” by Killswitch Engage kicks in, and Big Cat Brandon makes his way down to the ring. The 335-pound kitty cat embraces first Caufield and then Morrisette. Morrisette hands the microphone to Big Cat. This is a switch, as he rarely spoke while under the management of Emma Chase. He doesn't say that much here, just promising the fans that Big Cat and his friends will make sure that Eric Tyler doesn't this place into “that old place”. It might be more than he said through his entire tenure with Emma Chase. He still sounds kinda slow. But you can't change everything. Caufield takes the microphone. He reminds fans that this alliance isn't about turning the Legends brand into DaVE, but to bring Phil Vibert's vision of the brand to life. And to ensure that Eric Tyler doesn't manage to do exactly what he keeps accusing Vibert of doing. Grade: A*

Chris Morrisette vs Akima Brave This is a decently competitive match, as the Samoan proves tenacious and fearless. Morrisette doesn't control the entire match, but he never really seems to be in serious danger. It is the kind of match where Brave looks good even in defeat. There is a fun sequence near the end where the duo trade suplex attempts, and then suplexes. Akima Brave goes for his Suicide Headbutt but catches a knee in the belly for his effort, which is then turned right into Morrisette's Lobster Trap fisherman's suplex. That allows the face to gain the three count. Chris Morrisette Wins at 8:03 via Pinfall Grade: B

Christian Faith In-Ring Promo The Supreme Legend makes his way down to the ring to a typical huge reaction. He climbs into the ring and plays to the crowd for a bit before he takes up the microphone. The SWF Supreme champions says that challenging Rich Money to a match at Christmas Clash 2008 wasn't about trying to prove something. Its not about making people forget his age. Nor about trying to prove something about the two brands. It is quite simply about drawing a line in the sand and saying that this stops here! The explanation earns another big crowd pop. Faith explains that since he joined the Legends brand half a year ago, he has watched Rich Money and his cohorts run riot over the Supreme brand. They do whatever they want and are never made to pay. There are no consequences. The veteran thought that Jack Bruce would be the one to take down Rich Money and make him pay. It didn't happen. Then Sean McFly came back and he looked likely... but he didn't get it done either. Last week, Troy Tornado and Angry Gilmore had their chance and they failed as well. So if no one else on that brand can make Money feel the consequences of his actions... then dammit, Faith will! The Supreme champion says that he doesn't really care what's on the line at all. The true Dark Destroyer is back. He launches power attacks without the restraint he's shown for the past few years, and without concern for his opponent. It isn't quite the unbridled aggression of the youngster, as Frehley seems smarter now and attacks in spurts rather than in a constant way, to keep himself from gassing. He takes the fight to Hilll, who manages to counter with some offense of his own. But its a losing battle from the start and he just seems to manage to delay the inevitable. Sara Silver is at ringside, observing with Mr. Anderson by his side, but she does nothing to interfere or distract. Hill goes for his Complete Package sleeper submission but he can't get Frehley down into the seated position to lock it in, with the Dark Destroyer battering his opponent away. Frehley heads towards the finish as he locks up Hill and nails him several of his different trademark suplexes. A big Frehley's Comet Tornado face slam puts Mr. Hill down and allows Frehley to get the victory. A few thoughts... -okay, that is easily the least expected A* show I've managed yet. A lot of main event talent was kept out of the ring, plus the two tag matches which I didn't expect great grades from. I was really expecting this to maybe get a B+ grade, though I figured just a B was a definite possiblity. The original main event was going to be a tag team match featuring Faith and Morrisette but I decided to keep Faith out of the ring. Frehley and one of the Silverbacks was essentially for storyline purposes, but I got lazy and did something I almost never do - booked a main event without having tested chemistry first. I also somehow managed to book that three-way tag match with three face teams. Not to mention that I just wasn't sure how Dan Stone Jr would do on his debut - all that talent, but he only came in at C+ overness. So suffice to say, that A* grade was a bit of a shocking. Interestling, I booked one dark-match - a four-way tag match that took the full 20 minutes and was basically intended to give more experience to four teams... and it earned an A grade... Just that kinda show, I guess... -so yeah, Dan Stone Jr. I mean, how could I not jump at the chance to sign him? He fits so perfectly on the Legends brand. Hopefully he lives up the hype. He wouldn't actually negotiate until his contract fully expired and he became a free agent. Which was shortly before the Break Like the Wind pay per view. I was almost desperate to get him signed in time to debut on the PPV, but I knew it wasn't going to happen. I could have edited the contract to end a bit quicker to make it happen, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Now as for the storyline he came in on, I wanted him to come in with a purpose right off the start. Having Dani be a "cousin" of the Stone family is an idea I used in some TCW games, where she manages Edd Stone as Dani Stone (the Dharma Gregg names always bugged me, and I liked playing the Dan/Dani thing). I realize there are all kind of problems with the storyline - she's not actually related, she's not Canadian, she used to be a stripper - but it just felt right. As for the actual debut, I looked at quite a few different options. He only came in at C+ popularity in the US, yet he would still be a big deal to a lot of fans who know more than just the SWF. So I figured bringing him out in a way that would let people react and make like he's a big deal would make it seem like a big deal to the fans who don't know him. That's what I was going for. -Big Cat. Talking. That seems weird. I've never had him talk much - in part because he was poor at it, in part becaues he had a very good talker as manager, and in part because of the characterization. He's not going to turn into a regular on the mic, but he might do it occassionally, as he's actually developed quite a bit in terms of Entertainment skills. I didn't realize it for quite awhile, but he's now at B- Entertainment overall. Which I guess is just from being on constant angles with Emma. That was actually a slight part of the reason that I decided to separate him from Emma. Big Cat isn't the only who has improved in the Entertainment department. Readers might note that McFly doesn't tend to talk a lot in angles, which is because he's not great on the mic in the game. He's improving more than I expected. Still not going to have him doing Money or Bruce type promos, but he's getting better. Kirk Jameson has improved majorly in that regard, as well. -I don't think I mentioned it, but the reference to Emma Chase being on "Sexy Time" on the Supreme TV show as a reference to a piece in Phantom Stranger's Philly Power Pro diary. -I'm obviously not the first SWF diary to use Eric Eisen in an authority role (looking your way, NoNeck), but it made too much sense not to. It should work in a few ways. It also might say something about where my roster is at this point that I'm comfortable taking a mediocre worker who is very over - A* across the United States - out of action.
HOLY CRAP DHARMA'S FAMILY JUST IMPROVED! Heh. Awesome show, too. Good to see Frehley get his feet under him again.
Thanks PS.
TEW.com special report {Picture of Edd Stone front row at BSC Title Match} Stone's keepin' it in the family... ;) Great show, and Dan Stone Jr. is ME level, yes?

What, at C+ overness? No way, not yet. Give him a few months, though, tops.
He's not Main Event yet, but I don't think it will take long. He auto-pushed to Midcard when I signed him. After the introduction and the match, he's now B popularity almost across the board. That's a quick jump. He's now auto-pushes to Upper Midcard. That's a pretty quick jump off of one show. I have some big plans for DSJ.

Dan Stone? Dan Stone? Damn you, BP. The best I can get is Ricky DeColt. On loan! And an A* show with a D+ match on it? I call shenanigans! I can't even get a B- show with a D+ match on it... :p I don't know if Stone is necessarily cut out for the Supreme life, but McFly seems to thrive, and Dan's got decent entertainment skills, so... Another loss for Texas Pete, though? :(

Another loss for Texas Pete, though? :(
Yup, Dan Stone. I mean, how do you pass up that chance? I would have to give serious consideration if it was Jeremy, but Dan is so well rounded and has the Entertainment skills and the Star Quality... I don't know that he will ever hold either of the main belts, but its not impossible... He should have a nice run in Supreme. As excited I am to have signed him, Dan wasn't in the top five of workers that I would love to see come available. Maybe not even in the top ten. But then again, I was never sure he'd leave NOTPBW. That top five is a bunch of TCW guys and Samoan Machine. The DeColt boys are pretty high up there as well, but mostly if I could get two - a pair of DeColt brothers would really add something to the tag division (which isn't too shabby as it is). Those A* segments really help the overall show grade, I think. I think some of the other A* TV shows I've managed had D+ or at least C- grades in there. In the SWF, it all just comes down to popularity. And my roster isn't lacking in that regard right now. Yeah, poor Pete. The funny thing is that he probably wouldn't job quite as much if he wasn't so good about it. He was B-/B coming into that match and he jobbed without complaint to a C+ guy. Gotta respect that. If he complained more, I might do it less often. Typical of the SWF - you get screwed for being a nice guy...

Dan Stone Jr. is the awesome. Anyway, Dan is someone EVERYONE wants. This guy screams "Main Event" material in any promotion. I'm not so shocked Dan Stone Jr. jumped so high so quickly. The guy was in good segment, he had a good match, and he has incredible Star Quality. I also thought you could get Dan Stone Jr., not because of you, but because he's way too popular in Canada to be in a Cult Promotion. I think NOTBPW, and CGC eventually, needs to build their status to National if they want to keep some of their talent. Anyway, I was busy, but I'm completely marked out for Dan Stone Jr. He's probably the only person other Eddie Peak I would mark out for in the SWF. On the other hand, Jeremy Stone can probably work in Japan or NOTBPW, the two places where his style is welcome. I think he can make it big in TCW, though. I want to also point out that, SWF is an entertainment promotion. It makes sense that your top workers should, and would and could, get better at Entertainment Skills. By the way, ANOTHER A* Show? For your next trick, I demand you walk on water. ;)

Random thought of the day… I was once told that every person has the potential to be an artist, but it is simply a matter of them finding the right medium for that creativity to shine. That was my Grade 5 art teacher, Ms. Levesque, who told me that. I was 11 years old. I have no idea why that one quote has stuck with me through all these years - its not as if I remember that much else from being 11 years old. Yet that one comment has stuck with me. Is it true? Perhaps. When I was 11, if you had told me that my medium could turn out to be professional wrestling, I would have been thrilled to no end. If you told me a year ago that it would be in wrestling but not in the ring... Well, I don't know quite what I would have thought, to be honest. What drives me right now is "the buzz". Not so much that that good feeling, which this job sometimes leads to, but the literal "buzz" that happens backstage after a good show. You can really feel the energy amongst the roster after a good show. After a really good one, its almost as though everyone is on a good sugar high. Sometimes just a big moment will do it. A bad moment can cause that kind of buzz in a negative sense, but thankfully that happens rare of late. The buzz after Legends was all about Dan Stone Jr. The Stone family are held in special reverence within the industry. Not that different from Sean McFly, I guess. I don't think I know any wrestler who was serious about improving at their craft who didn't find a North of the Borde Pro Wrestling DVD or two so they could study the ring work of the Stone boys. Their skills are amazing. And none moreso than Dan Junior. I wandered through the backstage area a short while after the show ended. A few workers left as soon as the show was over, but quite a few were lingering. I didn't have to look around much to find where a lot of them were - a big crowd had gathered in Christian Faith's spacious locker room. Faith and Stone were holding court. A group of at least twenty wrestlers had gathered. The group listened quietly, just asking the occasional question, as Stone and Faith traded stories. I stood by the open door and listened. As I walked up, someone - Jacob Jett, perhaps - asked about working with Bruce the Giant. Faith answered, "Bruce is a good dude. He's not as awkward to work with as you might expect for a man his size. If you treated him with respect, he would take care of you in that ring. But if you didn't... well, he'd let you know. I remember one kid... I think his names Kennedy... This would've been about '98. This kid talked a lot backstage and Bruce didn't like that too much. Then he worked match at a house show with Bruce and he worked stiff, for no real reason. Tried to lay into Bruce. Apparently the big guy warned him but the kid kept it up. So Bruce just punched him in the chin and knocked him cold. That kid didn't last too long here..." There are some laughs. Then Dan offers his own story about the Giant. "I had one match with Brucie. Back in about '99, I think. He had just left here and was still working out his deal with Burning Hammer that would take him to Japan. We brought him in for two shows. Old Dan paid him a ton for those two shows, but hell if it wasn't worth it. The Caribou was packed. We had him go over Jeremy on dat first night, den challenge me. The second show, we tore dat place down. Went bout forty minutes wit him and the big guy brought out stuff he ain't never done before or since." "Forty minutes," Faith whistles with appreciation. Stone laughs, "He was breathin hard, dat's for sure." "Is that on DVD?" Ray Diaz asked eagerly. "Nah, they didn't release it yet. Someday maybe." "So what's the longest you've ever gone in a match?" is the next question, this one coming from John Pathlow. The Canadian gives a deferring nod to the brand champion. Faith has to think about it for a moment before he answers, saying, "The three-way between Sam, Sean, and I went over forty minutes, I think. Sam and I did a full hour once at a house show... but it took some rest time to get us there." Faith shrugs and smirks, admitting "Stamina has never been my strongest suit." Without seeming to show up his fellow legend, Stone counters with, "Done two hours and a quarter once. With Jeremy. Saskatoon, I think." The statement hangs for a moment, and there are nods of appreciation around the crowded room. He continues, "Me and Jeremy were doin sixty minute matches all across the country. We would push things to ninety on some shows, if the crowd was hot. We got to Saskatoon that day and a couple of guys on the tour took sick. Food poisonin' or sumthin. So me n' Jeremy figured we'd make up for the card missing a couple matches by seeing how long we could push it. Finished that one in a draw, as we both couldn't get up. Literally." Two hours and fifteen minutes in the wrestling ring. One match. Unreal. The stories continued, as did the questions. I wanted to stay and listen, to hear these two men tell their stories. Unfortunately for me, there were things I needed to do yet before my night was done. I was thrilled to no end that Dan Junior had joined. His name had been on the list that Richard gave me months ago, asking me to come up with ideas. Suffice to say, I had come up with a number of ideas of how we could use the man. But I really didn't think he would leave Nova Scotia. No one did. Eisen had been after one of the Stone's for years. He had long has an open offer to any of them who wanted to come south. Same with the DeColt boys. Though I guess it wasn't "any" of them, as that open offer didn't apply to young Edd when he got fired last year. Eisen was more than happy to let TCW grab him. When we heard nearly a month ago that Dan was not negotiating on a new contract with his father's promotion, things began to fall into place. Its actually a bit surprising that we found out, as NOTBPW are notoriously closed when it comes to that kind of info getting out. Dan wouldn't negotiate with us while he was still under contract to the family promotion, saying it was a matter of respect. But at 36 years old, he wanted to try a different challenge outside of North of the Border, before his career started to wind down. We had hoped to sign him to a deal in time to debut him at the Break Like the Wind pay per view, but it didn't quite happen. Still, we got him and that is all that matters. A few weeks ago, when we knew that there was a good chance that he would sign with Supreme, we decided to use of my storyline ideas to introduce Dan Junior. The "cousin" idea gave him a reason to show up in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. It also left us with the possibility of using someone else in that storyline if we couldn't agree a deal with Stone. I expected that some of the marks would have serious issue with the storyline. Given that Dani Nevada is obviously not really a relation of the Stone family. She's American, not Canadian, though that's not the biggest issue. The biggest issue is that prior to working for Babes of Sin City - where she actually held the Queen of the Ring belt for awhile - she worked in Vegas as a stripper. Half of the BSC roster came out of that profession. And while it wasn't exactly a well known fact about Dani - or Dharma, if you prefer her early career name - its also not a hidden secret. Dan himself gave the okay to use Dani for the role of his "cousin". I hope that all those marks will simply focus on the fact that the SWF has signed Dan Stone Junior rather than tearing apart the storyline. It only made sense to put him on the Legends brand, even if we didn't go with the cousin storyline. At 36 years old and a legend in the business, he fit perfectly. He also knew a lot of talent already on the brand - Art Reed, Elmo Benson, Groucho Bling, Acid, and of course Johnny Bloodstone. He knew a lot more wrestlers on the SWF roster in a less direct manner, but he had worked closely with those ones before. There was some amount of debate on the booking committee about the actual angle we should use to introduce Stone. There was a genuine concern - a lot of fans wouldn't know how Dan Stone Junior was. We chose to make the debut at a show held in the Tri State region, as the fans there are amongst the most knowledgeable in the US. We figured the best way to do it was to introduce him and have the people in the ring react. There is no better way to make someone seem like a big deal than to treat them like a big deal. The approach doesn't always work, but its obvious that Stone is going to be able to deliver in the ring. The fans accepted it on the show tonight... I just hope that continues... As I walked away from the informal session in the locker room, I found myself wishing that I could record that and show it to people. To the fans, to the critics, to the smart marks, and to A.N. Marshall most of all... To show them all what this business is really about. To show them what the Supreme Wrestling Federation is all about. To allow them all to understand he history and respect of this business. I heard the next day that the storytelling between Christian Faith and Dan Stone Jr lasted until two am. Everyone else left and it was just the two of them. Two legends of the business sharing stories about what makes this business unique and great. Two artists who found their medium and became two of the veyr best. Supreme Legends indeed. Thursday, Week 3, November 2008 Avatar

Marshall is a regular forum contributor on the exclusive Grey Dog Wrestling forums.
__________________
Supreme TV What, people don't like Rich Money? Ah - kayfabe right... Despite my almost unseemly affection for Money, there's always something about the "I'm only telling you the truth" heel that seems to work double, regardless of who's playing it. When you have someone as talented as Money in the role, well, there's nothing fans hate more than being told the 'truth'. Speaking of, kudos to Jack Bruce (and the writers, of course) for coming up with a logical and consistent motivation for his turn. I could talk about shades of grey, but I prefer to think of it in terms of depth. If wrestling is never going to be Chekov, the current main event scene on Supreme TV at least shows that there's more to it than an episode of "The Young And The Feckless". * Faith vs. Money? Well, all indications are that it's non-title, and that the upcoming PPV will have all the other titles on the line. It's a testament to the show that they're prepared to risk this, in a way, but two points bother me a little: a) Soft brand split or not, it does seem like anyone can crossover at will - which means that the whole thing is more of a convenience then anything else. Snide remarks aside, I'd like to see a little more fire between the brands. I suppose that can come with time, as the Legends age a little more, and Gen S come into their prime. A year or so down the line, expect war. b) Neither main event title on the line? And no real back story to it? Part of me thinks that a little more interaction between Faith and Money would have been before this happened - but there's plenty of time to go before the match. Maybe there's more going on than we know about? * The Keiths looked okay in their match, didn't they? The odd thing to me is that I can't help but feel that both would work better as heels... Well, maybe in another year or so. * Eric's the GM? Wait, what? Did they change their minds about Emma that quickly? Has Eric picked up an injury? Eisen's sudden conversion seems like an odd one to me. My various sources have nothing on why this move was made. We'll have to see, I guess, but in the meantime it's made for some slightly odd segments with Emma, who's been talked down to Sin, Inc. It's a bit like being talked down to by shower mould. Still, the segment did result in the apparent end of RK Hayes SWF career. And why not? I think I've asked before why someone who can control Payne needs a bodyguard for. * So Remember Tomorrow do have a purpose, then? Apparently my readership includes someone on the writing team, so hello there! * It's interesting to see the Gen S kids being thrown in together somewhat, and the reactions from the crowd suggests that they're ready to see what the kids can do without a Remo or Bruce around. I don't think we're quite ready to hand out the caps and gowns yet (Hi, Ash! Hi, Jay!) but the first crop of kids may be closer to graduating then most of us predicted. That said, anyone who can tell me how much of the McFly/Valentine match was down to Sean would earn my gratitude. I thought I saw some of it being down to Valentine... and if so, then it's time to see what else the kid's capable of. * Legends On the one hand, Dan Stone Jr! On the other hand, Legends. Not that Legends is a bad show, and possibly having Money, McFly and Stone on one brand would unbalance things a bit... but does it seem to anyone else like he could be kinda out of place on this show? Still: Dan Stone Jr! * Hey, look, High Concept! If there's any pairing more criminally underused right now, I don't know it. These two have got so much charisma, and they just seem to have been forgotten of late, champions or not. * Class, repeat after me: Three-ways don't work when all three sides are faces! Never mind that there's not one man among the six that the crowd care about right now. * Frehley a Silverback? Hmmm... Could be. I have to think, though, that he'd bring nothing new to the group, and while it might be an excuse to eject Jumbo Jackson, equally JJ hasn't done anything wrong in his present role. I say no - besides, where would it leave Diaz? Anyway, Silverback Steve would restrict the chance of Steve/Hill II or Steve/Anderson, and based on the main event, none of us want that to happen. * I was thinking for a while there that this was an unusually positive Supreme View, but then it's not like I yearn for things to complain about - I just think that as good as SWF has been of late, they can do better. I mean, Nevada Nuclear had another match this week, for a start... Everyone, thanks for joining me again. Make sure to catch me on the Grey Dog Wrestling forums, otherwise I'll be back next week with the view from here! A.N. News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 4, November 2008 "We are now into the home stretch for the 2008 calendar year. It has been a fantastic annum for the Supreme Wrestling Federation and for Supreme TV. Can the last five weeks make it even better? You better believe it!" "Everything points to this dream match between Christian Faith and Rich Money happening at SWF Christmas Clash 2008. I guess that the brand General Managers Eric Eisen and Eric Tyler want to give all the Supreme Wrestling Federation fans a memorable Christmas present. This one could be an all-timer, folks. No word yet on what - if anything - will be on the line in the match, but we should find out this week." "The masked monster Payne will continue his "punishment" this week, facing Angry Gilmore in the main event. Some might think that its actually Payne's opponents that are getting punished...." "The SWF North American championship will be contested, with champion Antonio Marquez facing Silverback Mr. Anderson. I'm hearing rumors that Sara Silver has gotten quite tight with Eric Eisen and she is looking to use that to her advantage. Should Marquez manage to retain the belt, it could turn out to be a good night for Los Diablos, as Gino Montero will be in a threeway match, with the SWF Generations Championship on the line. Ace Newton will be defending his belt against Montero and Greg Keith." "Is there something going on with the Generation Supreme youngsters? For one, rumors suggest that Eric Eisen is looking for Marquez to defend the North American belt - assuming he still has it - at the Christmas Clash in a three or four way match against some of the other young Gen-S stars. But I'm hearing rumors that there is some serious disquiet amongst of the of the youngsters on the brand. Some of these "kids" feel slighted by the veterans. With comments like those from Sin Inc last week, its not difficult to understand why. However, after the near-brawl last week after the Randy Bumfhole-Jay Chord match between the Bumfholes, Remember Tomorrow, and Los Diablos, it seems that the rivalry and competition amongst these Gen-S groups is intense." "Rich Money is again not scheduled to wrestle this week. Is the rib injury of the champion even worse than he hinted at? Or, as some have suggested, is the champion simply trying to avoid having to defend the belt he covets. No one can end The Beautiful Reign if the belt doesn't get defended... Its something to think about..." "It looks to be another big week, fans. Supreme TV is on C.A.N.N. every Tuesday night! The only wrestling on TV on Tuesday night..." Gino Montero vs Greg Keith vs Ace Newton for the SWF Generations Championship Montero doesn't have much to do, he should actually have enough time to make the belt look important. Maybe have him pin Keith, to give Newton a natural incentive to want a rematch. The Heartbreakers vs Team Neptune Umm..refresh my memory, Team Neptune's made up of Swoop McCarthy and..who? Um..dammit, it's on the tip of my tongue, I remember when he replaced Retro as Swoop's partner, I remember when The Neptune's joined them, but I don't actually remember his name..ooh, wait. That's right, it was Giant Tana. :p That aside, I think The Heartbreakers have a smidgen more upside, and have a more important role on the show then Team Neptune. Giedroyc vs Marc DuBois Hmm. Not the easiest pick here - Geidroyc has a Tag Title picture to look forward too, but there are some signs that DuBois is having refocusation (It's a word!) going on. Eh, still have to go with Giedroyc. Double Deuce vs The New Wave Because Double D are not THE GREATEST TAG TEAM IN THE WORLD TODAY. Randy Bumfhole vs Flex Garcia Because Phuck Phlex. (I don't know if you'll get that or not..) Mr. Anderson vs Antonio Marquez for the SWF North American Championship LIARS. Why is Anderson challenging for that strap? I call shenanigans! ...unless, someone hired him to take it off of Marquez..and because they specifically noted that they aren't looking for gold, that would end up throwing them off the scent..eh, nah, still picking Marquez. Love that guy. Angry Gilmore vs Payne THE BATTLE OF NEEDLESS ANGER TAKES PLACE~! The very slightly cooler head prevails here.

Gino Montero vs Greg Keith vs Ace Newton for the SWF Generations Championship Fact is Newton doesn't really need this belt anymore to justify his position as one of the top guys of the whole Generation Supreme movement. Montero's been around so longer, so he gets a 'reward' by pinning Keith to become the new champion. The Heartbreakers vs Team Neptune I am also struggling to remember who makes up Team Neptune and besided the Heartbreakers could do with a win, to at least give them some purpose. Giedroyc vs Marc DuBois DuBois has basically said he has moved on for battling over the North American belt. Whilst I don't think he'll be challenging for the World belt anytime soon, I do feel he needs to pick up wins over the likes of Giedroyc (who is basically part of the Tag Division right now) to see him remain relatively strong and in a position to be eventually elevated into the World Title picture. Double Deuce vs The New Wave A loss to Double Deuce would surely mean that the New Wave have completely fallen away from the Tag Title picture, don't see that happening. Randy Bumfhole vs Flex Garcia Flex has basically turned into a midcard jobber to the stars Mr. Anderson vs Antonio Marquez for the SWF North American Championship DQ win , for some reason the Silverbacks have been hired to try and take out Marquez. Angry Gilmore vs Payne Gilmore's in the World Title picture, Payne isn't.

Swoop's partner is Kirk Jameson. A very promising duo, especially as Jameson has improved notably. They are probably not a permanent team, as both have singles potential down the road. But for now... I have been tempted to reference J Silver's Phlex a few times, but I've held off. Poor F.A.G.... he has such potential to be an interesting character and he's a solid worker, yet he's been fairly much buried in my game. And now that Last Chance have had their last chance and Roberts has gotten the boot from the brand... Regarding the Silverbacks, it was already established that Rich Money brought them to the brand to harass Team Gilmore. Now who is going after Marquez's belt (promo on last show)? And who was an odd addition to the Supreme Games match at Let the Games Begin, who also gave a bit of assistance to Ace Newton? The influence of Money is long...

Holly crap! so I started reading this diary on June 4 and I've FINALLY caught up today! This is one hell of a great read BP! And now that I'm caught up, I can finally start making predictions!!! Gino Montero vs Greg Keith vs Ace Newton for the SWF Generations Championship Ace needs to lose this belt. The fact that he even had this belt would have been forgotten had it not been mentioned in a couple promos. A 3-way match is a perfect way for him to drop it. The Heartbreakers vs Team Neptune Everyone else seems to be having a problem with Team Neptune, but for the life of me I can't remember who the Heartbreakers are. Either way though, I like Swoop, so I'm going with them. Giedroyc vs Marc DuBois DuBois still seems to be doing quite well push-wise and I don't really see that coming to an end against Giedroyc. Double Deuce vs The New Wave Pretty much a no-brainer. Randy Bumfhole vs Flex Garcia Flex Garcia is still in the SWF??? Mr. Anderson vs Antonio Marquez for the SWF North American Championship Possibly a DQ here. Angry Gilmore vs Payne Gilmore will have a tough time with the monster, and may only pull out a win via DQ, but I have a feeling he'll take this one clean.

Its not for the General Manager that the crowd pops for, but those who follow him out through the Supreme Gate and down to the ring. Sean McFly is the first superstar to emerge. Then SWF North American champion Antonio Marquez. They both get big reactions. Then comes Jack Bruce, and the once-beloved Long Island Angel is showered with hatred as he smirks and strolls down the ramp. There is another big face fan reaction, this one for Angry Gilmore. Finally, the trio of Rich Money, Remo, and Ace Newton emerge through the Supreme Gate. There is a huge wall of hate that greets the SWF World Heavyweight champions and his cohorts. The trio simply enjoy it as they stop on the stage and wait, rather than join everyone else in the ring. The Interim General Manager takes the microphone. He says that before anything else tonight, he wants to clear up a few things about his accepting the current role he holds of Interim General Manager. Double E says that he's retired from in-ring action... for now. He's not injured. He's not running away. He is simply being selfless. He is doing what is best for the Supreme Wrestling Federation, rather than what be best for Eric Eisen. He is trying to set an example for everyone on the roster who chooses to put their own selfish interests ahead of the interests of the promotion that employs them and has made them stars in this business. I'm doing what is right, he concludes. After letting that sink in for a moment, the GM says that he has asked all of these to come out to the ring at this point because he has some announcements to make regarding the coming SWF Christmas Clash 2008 pay per view. He would have brought more stars out... but he doesn't want tensions boiling over. Eisen takes a long look at the men in the ring with him, especially with Jack Bruce and Sean McFly eying each other from opposite corners. Eric says that he put some serious thought into the best opponent for Antonio Marquez and his SWF North American championship... and he has decided that it is SWF Generations champion Ace Newton. The match announcement gets a good reaction from the crowd, and Newton nods as he stands on the stage. But Double E isn't done... The Interim General Manager says that the idea of two of best Generation Supreme stars competing for that belt was so enticing that he couldn't resist turning it into a true showcase for Generation Supreme. So he's making it a four-way match! The third participant will be another of Gen-S' most talented wrestlers, Randy Bumfhole. This gets another solid reaction from the crowd. And after some serious thought, the fourth is going to be a young wrestler who has looked really good of late, a true rising star... the former two-time NCAA wrestling champion Sean Deeley! Neither Newton nor Marquez particularly pleased to hear their match being made a four-way. But the crowd certainly likes it. The General Manager then says that since taking over the Supreme brand, he has become quite attached. And being the competitive sort, well... thing's happen. In the recent negotiations with Legends brand General Manager Eric Tyler over the proposed Faith-Money match at Christmas Clash... and Eisen has to pause here as the crowd pops big time. When they quiet down, he says that in those negotiations, his competitive nature got the better of him and he ended up arranging a few more matches with Tyler. A few more cross-brand matches. A few contests to prove which brand is superior. This thought has the crowd getting loud again. Eisen says that he will only announce a couple of these tonight. The others will be left for a later time. Two of the men out here tonight are here because of those matches. Eisen firsts points at Angry Gilmore. The Canadian will be facing... “The Golden Boy” Rocky Golden! The crowd pops, but Gilmore doesn't look happy about this. Eisen then turns dramatically and points up at the ramp, at Remo. The Alpha Dog will have to take on... Pistol Pete Hall! The crowd reacts again, but Remo just shrugs as if he doesn't really care who he faces. Another match that everyone already knows about is The Long Island Angel Jack Bruce facing on The American Tiger Sean McFly. Should McFly win the match, he will become the number one contender for Rich Money's SWF World Heavyweight championship. However, Jack Bruce has requested that this match be made No Disqualification... and Eisen feels that's a fine idea! When the crowd quiets, the GM then addresses the match that everyone is talking about... Rich Money versus Christian Faith. Eisen wanted Faith to be here for the announcement, but he couldn't make it tonight. He says that the match will happen and it will headline SWF Christmas Clash 2008. However, after serious negotiation with Eric Tyler as well as consultation with the Supreme Wrestling Federation Board of Directors over the SWF Charter... there is simply no way for the match to include either of the belts of the respective champions. Every possible option has been examined, but each has some issue that will keep it from working to everyone's satisfaction. So the match will take place with nothing but the pride of each respective brand on the line. The pride and honor of two Supreme Legends, put to the ultimate test as a Christmas gift to the great fans of the Supreme Wrestling Federation! The GM beams proudly as the crowd roars. Rich Money smirks confidently on the stage. Grade: A
Peter Michaels: This is going to be a Christmas to remember! Jerry Eisen: I like Santa Claus! Grandmaster Bling: And cheese... Jerry Eisen: Yup! All three show off great technical wrestling and intense brawling. The match is all action, rapidly moving without any breaks. Its the kind of match that can burn out a crowd, but its fairly short, plus there is little in the way of false finishes. Newton has learned well from Rich Money, and doesn't hesitate to use cheap shots and anything else he can do to take control of the match. After Montero hits a beautiful frog splash on Keith, Newton delivers low blow to Montero takes him out of the action for a few moments. The Generations champion then takes advantage, hitting the Aces High Go-2-Sleep on the Keith twin without the facial hair to get the pin and the win. They are standing in a hallway, with a number of closed locker room doors along it. The camera creeps up close to the brothers, so that their conversation can be heard. Z-Bum tells his brother that “they” won't go for it, though the topic of their discussion is unclear. After considering for a moment, Randy says he thinks they will. They won't, Zimmy assures him. Again, Randy says he thinks they will. Clearly not wanting to go through with whatever they are planning, Zimmy declares that they are wasting their time and they are going to end up looking stupid. With a shake of his head, Randy replies that it has to be done regardless. They have to at least try. With that, the younger Bumfhole brother strides confidently down the hallway and up to one of the locker room doors. He hammers on it hard as Zimmy shakes his head and follows his brother. After a bit of a wait, the door is yanked open to reveal a cramped locker room. Steven Parker and Marc DuBois are playing a video game – a clear screen shot shows it to be the SWF Supreme Legends release, now on shelves! - and Jay Chord has opened the door. Parker and Chord look ready for their match while DuBois is still in street clothes. There is a momentary and very tense silence. Parker demands to know what the brothers want. Randy holds up his hands, as if to say “no fight”, explaining that they need to talk. Chord quickly retorts that they have nothing to talk about with the butt holes – then looks pleased with himself at his clever take on the Bumfholes name. Ignoring the youngster, Randy addresses DuBois, saying that they do have something to talk about. And its important. After considering this for a moment, DuBois nods and waves them in. DuBois tells his two stalemates to go win their match. Parker hesitates, as if afraid to leave DuBois with the brothers. The former SWF North American champion senses this and waves Parker out. Chord and Parker leave, closing the locker room door behind them. Whatever the Bumfhole brothers and Marc DuBois have to discuss, the fans won't find out tonight... The match is mostly interesting as Kirk Jameson unleashes his newest approach of attack – after laying into Jay Chord with a series of kicks, he grabs the second generation wrestler in a Muay Thai clinch and begins to drill knees into Chord's body. It is vicious, but Parker jumps in to lay a big forearm to the back of Jameson's head. Chord is lucky enough to fall right into The Hearbreaker's corner, so he is able to tag Parker in... once Parker returns to the ring apron. Parker works over Jameson for awhile, as Chord isn't in the best shape to help out. With a great deal of loud encouragement from the Neptune twins, Jameson eventually manages to tag Swoop in. The big Aussie cleans house and looks like he's heading for a win, but some interference from Chord slows Swoop down. A Future Shock tornado face slam allows Parker to get the pin on McCarthy, though it takes Chord holding down Swoop's legs from outside the ring. The young tandem don't look too happy to be on the show, and the lovely young Miss Potter looks rather uncomfortable under the leering gaze of the champions. Potter grows impatient under the gaze of Sexy and McClean, demanding to know why the champions asked on them on the show. Sexy says that they really just wanted her on the show, and they're gravely disappointed that she chose to bring the unwelcome company with her. The pretty young manager responds that this “unwelcome duo” are now the number one contenders for Sin Inc's tag belts. So they best show some respect. After laughing, McClean says that they're much more concerned with showing Hannah a good time, not a couple of kids who aren't worth their time. And if she'll just ditch the kids, they can get started on that good time... This gets Deeley a bit annoyed, who takes a step towards the champions, reminding the pair that this “kid” is a two-time NCAA National Champion and that he can tear either of them apart. Sexy and McClean look at other for a brief moment before bursting out laughing, which causes Thompson to have to hold Deeley back. Potter demands to know if they are going to get their title shot at Christmas Clash? McClean says no. This leads to an awkward silence, which Potter finally shatters by demanding to know why not? Badd Kompany are the number one contenders! The tiny 19-year old tries to sound tough and demanding – the way that Emma Chase or Sara Silver manage to – but she comes across as a bit too whiny. Sexy explains that pay per views like Christmas Clash are where “big kids” play. And Badd Kompany aren't ready for that yet. Sin Inc are not going to waste a pay per view match on these two. So if they want their title match, it can happen on TV. The beat down that Sin Inc are going to dish out to this undeserving duo may be too violent for the censors, but at least it will be quick. Potter says that they'll do it next week, then. And she leaves Thompson and Deeley off the set. Grade: B
Peter Michaels: So we're going to have a SWF World Tag Team title match next week on Supreme TV! Both wrestlers have pretty diverse skills, but DuBois is simply more talented and that shines through. The young Canadian even takes the time to leer at Dawn the Cheerleader at ringside and make Giedroyc's manager obviously uncomfortable. Giedroyc takes advantage of one of those leering moments to take control of the match, but The Evolution surprises the English wrestler after a short time with a Marc of Excellence roll-through German suplex, and quickly scores a Dubious DuBois Pin, using both his foot on the ropes and a grab of Giedroyc's tights to get the three count. Its not. Vessey and Valentine manage to push the very experienced New Wave duo, showing off some impressive skills and teamwork of their own. Playboy Jake Sawyer calls out constant advice to Double Deuce, while Jessie simply observes at ringside. And looks good doing so. The match is something of a “coming out” party for the young duo, as they actually manage to look like they can hang with former DaVE tandem. Things look to be going in Double Deuce's favor, as they deliver a Full House elevated tandem cutter to Scout outside the ring. But before things can go any further, Sara Silver appears through the Supreme Gate and leads all three of her Silverbacks down to the ringside. The rest of the match is slow, wary, and short, as everyone is just waiting for the Silverbacks to interfere. They finally do, with Mr. Jackson providing a distraction as Mr. Hill and Mr. Anderson then pull Guide off the apron and begin battering him. The refs stops the match as chaos erupts. Its three-versus-two, but Guide and Scout manage to hold their own against the Silverback trio. The referee tries to get things under control, but its not happening so he calls for further help. The confrontation peaks as Jessie and Sara Silver confront each other in the middle of the ring, as SWF officials try to separate the wrestlers outside the ring. The two lovely women scream at each other, which culminates in Silver dropping Jessie with a vicious slap. Things stop at this point, everyone looking at the two women in the ring. Then... Angry Gilmore The crowd roars as Angry Gilmore emerges from the Supreme Gate and makes for the ring in a hurry. That tips things in Team Neptune's favor, and Silver's team isn't up for that. So they clear out of the ring and disengage from action as the Canadian star hits the ring. Gilmore is clearly angry as he stares down at the Silverback trio and Sara Silver, as they slowly back their way up the ramp, looking very pleased with themselves. The action isn't poor, but the Canadian never really puts the Gen-S star in serious danger. The crowd never gets into the match to any real extent, perhaps due to knowing that Randy B would win. He does just that, hitting Flex with a Bumfhole Slam and following that up with the pin. Randy Bumfhole Wins at 7:52 via Pinfall Grade: C+
Grandmaster Bling: Randy B with the world at his feet! On the backstage interview set, he doesn't give Farrath Hesketh chance to talk much. The Long Island Angel starts by saying that he wants to address all the people who think he's joining up with Rich Money and his friends. He's not. While he respects the SWF World Heavyweight champion and will work with him if the opportunity presents itself, Bruce is going surround himself with people he can trust and count on. Not people who are just looking to take advantage of the Long Island Angel, as Sean McFly was. Speaking of McFly, the former champion says that he doesn't want this feud with The American Tiger to be dragged out and carried into 2009. He wants it done and over with after Christmas Clash. So he requested that Eric Eisen make the match a No Disqualification match, so that there can be no excuses from either side. After the pay per view, Bruce can get on with being a rock star and McFly can get on with being irrelevant. At this point, Farrath tries to ask one of the prepared questions she has, but Bruce stares her down. He tells her that he's done answering questions – even though he hasn't actually answered a single one - and storms off the set. Marquez controls the early going, thrilling the crowd as he shows off the fast and diverse style that leaves Mr. Anderson reeling. However, all it takes is a quick trip from Mr. Hill to give the advantage to the challenger, who delivers some nasty kicks to Marquez while he's on the mat. Anderson takes control, working over the champion. He is clearly trying to inflict damage, as he continually goes to the count of four with a series of illegal chokes and strikes, coming close to getting disqualified. The challenger also never tries for a pin attempt or submission. Marquez battles back, only to have more quick interference from Anderson's ringside support. Marquez is facing an uphill battle in this one, without Gino Montero at ringside for support, but he continues to battle. But just as he starts to make what looks to be his big comeback towards victory and defending his belt, when Anderson drops the champion to the mat with a vicious kick to the midsection. A few more kicks to the ribs looks to have Marquez in danger again... but nothing comes of it as Sara Silver hollers at her client, and Mr. Anderson simply climbs out of the ring and leaves the reeling champion. Referee Ric Young looks confused then starts counting. Mr. Anderson makes no effort make it down to the ring, but stands on the stage with his agent and the rest of the Silverbacks, grinning down at a confused looking champion. Rich Money is seated behind a desk, wearing a black suit. On the front of the desk is a full-size replica of Rich Money's SWF World Heavyweight championship belt. Remo is seated on the short leather sofa, his big muscular frame wrapped in casual designer clothing. Ace Newton is seated over on the far left, taking the role of band leader... even though there is no band. The background behind Money and Remo is a collage of images - the great moments in the careers of both men, and even a couple featuring Newton. Rich Money: Welcome to Moments with Money. Its been awhile, fans, and as you can plainly see, we have a new set. Remo: And a damned nice set, too. Rich Money: Indeed. You see, I was recently a featured guest on the Tonight Show, and I thought to myself "Hmm... this is sure a nice set". So I came back and made the request to SWF management. The response shocked and angered me- they felt it wasn't worth the time or expenditure to upgrade our set. Remo: Thankfully, we know someone who is wealthy, thoughtful, and giving who helped us out. They truly deserve our thanks and praise. Rich Money: Indeed they do, Remo. Indeed they do. The pair grin. From his corner, Newton hits the punchline drum roll, an echoing "pudump-tssshhh". Rich Money: So what do we have on the slate tonight? Remo: Fan mail. Emails send the your websites. I thought we would answer a few of the many many questions that come in every day. Remo picks up a stack of papers off the seat of the sofa, holding up the paper as if this somehow shows off just how many emails come in to the website every day. Rich Money: Sounds great. Let's get started. Remo: "How do you feel about Christian Faith and facing him at Christmas Clash"? Rich Money: Good question. I could say a lot about Christian Faith... but I won't. I'll leave that for another time and another forum. Suffice to say, I relish the opportunity to prove myself against another legend of the business. To defeat another legend again. To put another notch in the old Money belt. Now, the question unasked there is whether I would prefer it if something was on the line in the match. Of course I would. Not that I want his stupid belt - it's a cheap ripoff of the belt that really matters in the SWF, which is the one I hold. But it would be enjoyable to take it away from him. And you know I would. Because I'm money. Newton lets loose another punchline drum roll. Rich Money: Next question, Remo! Remo: "Mr. Money, how did you feel about Richard Eisen being attacked by Payne?" Rich Money: Sickened and appalled. Dick Eisen and I might not always see eye to money eye, but the man made this company. He is the reason that we are all here on television. Even if we have our disagreements, I have nothing but respect for Dick. To see him brutalized like that... Its nothing that should ever happen in this business. This business should be about respect, honor, and the violence should take place in the ring. Now what disgusts me more than the attack is the fact that Payne is still employed here in the SWF. Even worse, his punishment is apparently main eventing shows and competing for titles. How does that make sense? Remo: I don't think it does, champ. Rich Money: I just don't think its right for someone to get rewarded for something like that. But hey, that's just me. Hey Ace, maybe if you beat up an Eisen, you can main event shows regularly, too! Ace Newton: I'll make sure to knock out Jerry the next time I see him, Rich! The three men snicker as Newton rolls another another punchline drum roll. Remo: Alright, another question here. "Why didn't you get consideration for the position of General Manager of the Supreme brand?" Oh, good question. Rich Money: Damned right it's a good question. I think someone owes me an explanation there! But the way I see it, there are only two ways you can end up being an authority figure in the Supreme Wrestling Federation right now. One is to have been involved in Danger and Violence Extreme... and we all know that I wasn't part of DaVE or that promotion would still be around. Because I'm money. The other way is to be an Eisen. Remo: And we know you're not an Eisen... Rich Money: Cuz if I was, I clearly wouldn't be money enough to be the SWF World Heavyweight champion! Remo: Oh, snap! Ace Newton: Cold. The three men laugh, as Newton rolls off another punchline drum roll. Rich Money: Anyway, that's all the time we have time for tonight. So fans, don't miss out on Rich Money ending the legend of Christian Faith at Christmas Clash. You can bank on that... Because I'm money. Newton rolls off one more punchline drum roll, which causes the champion to scowl. Rich Money: Ace, that wasn't a punchline. Its a fact. Ace Newton: Sorry, Rich. Remo laughs as Money just shakes his head. Grade: A*
Jerry Eisen: Who's gonna get punched? Grandmaster Bling: You's gonna get punched. The big man is aggressive and doesn't leave the middleweight much chance to retaliate. But Gilmore kicks out of a couple early pin attempts, and the continual attacks from Payne start to wear the 350-pounder down. Gilmore basically weathers the storm, then takes over the match as he shows off his grit and determination. The momentum switches back as Gilmore is caught he as he comes off the top rope, slammed down to the mat with a huge spinebuster. A short time later, Payne goes for his Payne-sault moonsault, but Gilmore gets out of the way. Then in much the same manner as Gilmore explodes into his trademark rants with a microphone in hand, the popular Canadian explodes into a flurry of offense that takes Payne off his feet. The masked man is in trouble, and Adrian Garcia at ringside seems to know it. But things stop cold as Sara Silver brings her three Silverbacks down to the ringside. There is no hesitation as Mr. Hill and Mr. Anderson slide into the ring from opposite sides and attack Gilmore, causing Darren Smith to end the match. Angry Gilmore Wins at 13:13 via Disqualification Grade: B Angry Gilmore, Jessie, Sara Silver, Mr. Hill, Mr. Anderson + Mr. Jackson Post-Match Confrontation The attack basically ends when the match ends. Silver and her cohorts seem to realize that continuing the attack will bring The New Wave down to the ring for another battle, so they seem satisfied with having interrupted Gilmore's match and prevented him from obtaining a clean victory. That obviously has Gilmore incensed. Jessie in the ring with him, trying to calm him. Adrian Garcia also has to lead Payne away from ringside, with the big man seeming to be intent to participating in the potential carnage. But the carnage never happens. Silver and her Silverbacks seem content to stalk around the ringside area, trying to intimidate Gilmore. He is tossed a microphone. Gilmore says that he has zero interest in wrestling Rocky Golden at Christmas Clash. What is it going to prove to embarrass the big mouthed Golden who hasn't accomplished anything in the SWF? Gilmore should be the number one contender for the SWF World Heavyweight championship. He should be facing Rich Money. As for Silver and her thugs, Gilmore is getting tired of them sniffing around and being a nuisance. So he's going to ask Eric Eisen for Mr. Hill and Mr. Anderson to face The New Wave at Christmas Clash. In the meantime, if they keep harassing him, they are going to learn just why he earned the name “Angry”... and they won't like him when he's angry... Rich Money Gilmore stops and stares up at the stage, where SWF World Heavyweight champion Rich Money is standing and watching the proceedings with a smirk on his face. The only thought I really have on this show is that I really need to stop booking sloppy. Its not that a B+ is a bad show, but I think with a B main event, that had to be close to just a B overall show. I put the show together on paper (well, a text document) without enough thought for the sequence, and then didn't really take the time to arrange things properly when booking. Stupid. Its not really surprising that Marquez-Anderson graded better than Gilmore-Payne, when you consider the skills of those involved. Moreso, I have no idea why I kinda buried the DuBois-Giedroyc match. Eh, just need to be careful.
Holly crap! so I started reading this diary on June 4 and I've FINALLY caught up today! This is one hell of a great read BP! And now that I'm caught up, I can finally start making predictions!!!
Sorry, just caught this. You read the entire thing? Wow. Glad you enjoyed it. Great to have another reader. And predictor. Enjoy.

Good show BP! Now that I'm caught up I can actually read everything thoroughly instead of skimming through so as not to fall further behind! I'm surprised that this show only rated a B+ considering what you've pulled off in the past with similar segment ratings.
