SWF: Generation Supreme
Can I make the point Ampulator just got the 1500th post, I just got the 1500th reply and were on the 101st page. Huge acomplishment Papa :D

Yep, congrats BP. Doesn't seem more than a couple of weeks ago that you broke 1000 :p
Thanks guys. As I keep saying, I definitely never expected to make it this far. Said that when I hit 1k, so I guess its even more true of 1.5k. At this point, there are no plans to stop. So maybe 2k is possible? The booking plans are in place to keep going that far, so its more a matter of staving off the burn-out factor and keeping it interesting as a writer. Haven't really felt burned out in awhile and I just got through my monthly "flirtation with starting a different game" in record time. All things considered, I think you are all in for a fair bit more Generation Supreme. Hopefully that's a good thing.

The Fry Report Preview
Every week on The Fry Report podcast will provide the latest information on everything Supreme. News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Wednesday, Week 3, December 2008 "He's back." "The Harbinger. The monster. Vengeance. The masked man made his return at Christmas Clash, announcing his presence by interrupting the match between Big Cat Brandon and another masked monster, Payne. Sporting a new blood-red mask, Vengeance seems no more placid for his time away. He is scheduled to appear at tonight's SWF Legends, though it is not yet clear why or when he will appear. Another big question is whether Vengeance is the mysterious "Forsaken" that has been hyped in recent weeks, and whom Eric Tyler claims to be behind. We could learn a great deal tonight." "Another big moment is Steve Frehley's decision. The Dark Destroyer apparently has three offers - from Eric Tyler, Sara Silver, and Emma Chase. Which will he choose? Is taking on a manager or representative the right move for the big man as he chases Christian Faith's SWF Supreme Championship?" "We have a big match between Ray Diaz and Pistol Pete Hall. Two big men who hit hard and have no fear. This should be a fun match." "There is an even bigger match in the main event, a six-man tag that puts three Alliance members against three wrestlers from the Golden Faction. It will be Big Cat Brandon, Chris Morrisette and Chris Caufield taking on Bloodstone, Texas Pete, and the intimidating Rex. This is one you don't want to miss." "There will be plenty else on tap, including both Christian Faith and new SWF Legends champion Dan Stone Jr will be in attendance, though not in the ring. Rocky Golden, The Silverbacks, and SWF Sky Club Division tag team champions Lords of Pure will be in action. "You don't want to miss out! SWF Legends always offers the best action! SWF Legends... only on CBA!"
The Fry Report will be available on SWF.com or directly from iTunes.
An extra special feature for the Fry Report... Pistol Pete Hall vs Ray Diaz While I don't see Diaz moving up the card any time soon, he does have more going for him, and more of an upside, then PPH. Diaz seems like the kinda guy who's tough enough to take him down. The Tokyo Underground vs The Throwbacks I kinda like TU, but I've always been a fan of Steve Flash. And I figure Avatar's going to be pushing his best friend eventually, so.. :p El Leon vs Acid vs American Elemental I'm also a fan of AE, but I don't see anyone but Acid taking this. He needs some momentum going into the inevitable Biggz rematch anyway. JD Morgan vs Art Reed Despite being in Tyler's group, JD really hasn't done much, and Reed's got some good momentum going into this, so I don't see this as being a bad loss for him. Lords of Pure vs The Silverbacks I beleive LoP is coming off an upset..but I don't see another one here. The Silverbacks also need some more momentum, coming off the New Wave loss. Rocky Golden vs Mainstream Hernandez I've said before that I think Hernandez is done paying dues..but I can't see even the largely over-rated Golden losing to him right now. Big Cat Brandon, Chris Morrisette & Chris Caufield vs Bloodstone, Texas Pete & Tex Not Tex, nor Rex (Who I assume he's teaming with) are ever going to win a main event match..before Giant Tana does. Simple as that. I know most will probably say this will be another reason for Bloodstone to leave the Golden Faction, but I say this would be a good time to have Morrisette turn on his friends. I just think him going heel is a good move. He's been the blandest main eventer on the roster - and the "Token Surprise Main Event Partner" - since the very start of this diary. A heel turn would do him some good, in my view, and I think Legends needs more Main Event Heels to challenge Faith.

Pistol Pete Hall vs Ray Diaz Pistol Pete may be getting on but he's showing that he still has 'it' as a performer. This may be an opportunity for Diaz to rid him of that sidekick stench about him but I feel Pete will win here. The Tokyo Underground vs The Throwbacks Outside of the Sky Club Tag division, the sky club Tag teams are basically job fodder. The Throwbacks are there to get Retro a bit more exposure whilst letting him learn from a ring general in Steve Flash. El Leon vs Acid vs American Elemental The flippity floppity's in masks get to do THEIR THING instead of bumping around for big hosses who move around in slow motion. Acid remains the most over of this bunch, despite losing the title and it's basically there for him to build a little momentum ahead of a rematch with Biggz. JD Morgan vs Art Reed Morgan in all honesty is a glorified jobber, a stable fall guy. Reed on the other hand has been bubbling under as possible challenger for the Legends Title. Reed has NOTBPW experience and he can quite easily slot himself into the Stone, Bloodstone feud down the line. Lords of Pure vs The Silverbacks The Silverbacks bounce back from their loss to the New Wave with a win over the Sky Club Tag champs...as I said earlier outside of their own division the Sky Club Tag Teams are job fodder. Rocky Golden vs Mainstream Hernandez Mainstream Hernandez goes all emo, and chokes out Golden with his new submission finisher...oh sorry wrong diary :p In all honesty this is a chance for Golden to actually win a match with relative ease. Big Cat Brandon, Chris Morrisette & Chris Caufield vs Bloodstone, Texas Pete & Tex More talent on the face side and besides the Golden Factions schtik is that they are bully boys who can dish it out to the little guys but can't really take it. Bloodstone is the sort of black-sheep of the group in the fact that he actually DOES have wrestling talent.

Ok, so I was on holidays and internetless for the past week, so I'm finally caught up (again). The PPV was great, BP. What upset me about Bruce's return wasn't the timing of it or the screwjob finish, it was the fact that there's yet another person I'm gonna have to try and keep track of! And meaningless as it may be now, for the record, I would've tied Zeel for the most correct predictions for the PPV. Damn my recent lack of internet!!!! Now, on to my Legends predictions: Pistol Pete Hall vs Ray Diaz Ray needs to get something going for himself. Aside from being Frehley's lackey, he should pick up an impressive win here to boost him up a bit. The Tokyo Underground vs The Throwbacks This one's tought to call, but I think TU will pull it off. El Leon vs Acid vs American Elemental This one reeks of a "sorry we took your belt off you, so here's an eassy win" match. JD Morgan vs Art Reed Just has a bit more going for him. I could see a cheap finish here. Lords of Pure vs The Silverbacks I just don't think LoP are of the caliber to take down the Silverbacks yet - champions or not. Rocky Golden vs Mainstream Hernandez Golden is finaly starting to get some things done. A loss to Kid Liquid would just be too much of a blow to his momentum I think. Big Cat Brandon, Chris Morrisette & Chris Caufield vs Bloodstone, Texas Pete & Tex Probably a screwy finish involving Vengeance. And for a tiwst, I'm also going to predict an angle. Frehley will take Emma Chase up on her offer. Emma has absolutely zero going for her right now and she's far too good at everything to be sitting idle any longer.
Just glad you do take the time to catch up. It is much appreciated. And glad you enjoyed the pay per view. As for "one more character"... I know... At least with Bruce the Giant, he shouldn't be too hard to follow - as Rich Money goes, so will Biggie Smalls. He isn't going to be in the ring all that often and when he is, it will likely be in tag action. I expect he will wrestle rarely enough that he will almost be a non-wrestling personality, much like Runaway Train is at this point. Plans can change, but I have a couple of issues with Bruce being in the ring on any regular basis. One is the fact that his Stamina sucks, plus his Selling is pretty brutal - both of which make sense for a giant. Moreso, he would have to be kept very strong for his role with Money to make sense. Which means beating him should be difficult and rather epic. But the Stamina issue prevents him from being in longer matches without major penalty. So while things could change down the road, the intent is currently for him to be the worlds most intimidating and expensive bodyguard. Given the bloat of the roster, I'm trying not to add much more. You might see some "new" jobbers pop up now and again on TV, particularly tag teams. Guys in developmental who I have plans for will be treated carefully, and likely given extra time at RIPW. At the same time, I have started rotating some of the midcard and lower guys who have been on TV fairly regularly down to RIPW for short spells.
Also, I love your reader interaction to me that makes it a better read because you will take the time to explain what you did and why you did it.

That's pretty awesome to hear (uh, read...). A damned big compliment. Thanks. And glad you like the explanations - not sure everyone does, but no one really complains, so...
I, too, enjoy the explinations and thoughts you throw out after the shows. I'm not too good a booker (I have yet to get through a year with SWF without falling to cult - all because of poor booking) so I find your comments really help me improve my own booking. To be honest I was a little dissapointed when you mentioned that you were trying to get out of the habit of doing them.

To be honest I was a little dissapointed when you mentioned that you were trying to get out of the habit of doing them.
Well, if they help readers, I can certain continue with them. I wasn't intending to cease them entirely, because I think they are almost necessary for some shows and decisiosn. It was more that I was probably posting them for shows where there really wasn't much that reader would be wondering about. However, if at least a few readers find it helpful, I don't mind. I also don't mind being questioned, on booking or storylines, and it can be done in the thread or via PM. I am always willing to explain and/or help out. If you use Gen-S for ideas of how to run the SWF - and I don't recommend that as a whole, as I have made plenty of mistakes, despite how well things are going at the moment - you may also want to check out the SWF Tips thread I did awhile back. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41716 Its probably worth mentioning that I have changed a few things of how I book since I did that. Notably, I now book angles more carefully, based on what a given worker is doing in that segment. So a talking promo is almost always based on Entertainment. I thought basing that same promo on Overness was realistic, but I was convinced otherwise. So for the last while, I've changed my approach on booking angles. It hasn't changed much in terms of the grades, but I think its a more realistic approach, which counts for something in a diary game (I think), but not so much in just a regular game.

The hardcore legend Tyler grins confidently while they two powerful females eye each other warily from opposite sides of the ring. They don't wait long, as almost as soon as the SWF Legends theme song - "Sound of Madness" by Shinedown - finishes, the music is replaced by the familiar theme of Steve Frehley - "Vicarious" by Tool. The music escorts a steely-determined Dark Destroyer down to the ring, followed closely by the ever-present Ray Diaz. Diaz is ready for his match to follow, but the attention is clearly on Frehley here. The big man gets a lot of heat from the crowd. Frehley simply ignores the boos. In the ring, the big former champion and new number one contender for the SWF Supreme championship takes a microphone. He gives a hard stare at all three of the “contenders”. Steve Frehley: We all know why I'm out here, so no use screwing around. I don't much like making this a game show, but this is what I was told, so it's the way it is. Frehley stalks back and forth a bit while he talks, Diaz stands behind him with arms folded over massive chest. The Dark Destroyer points first at Sara Silver. Steve Frehley: You. Silver. You offer me money. A chance to be a Silverback. To lead your little crew. Silver smiles and nods, as if this offer is the greatest thing in the world. Frehley then turns to Legends brand General Manager Eric Tyler, pointing at him next. Steve Frehley: You. Tyler. You run this show. The big boss man. You made me the number one contender for the Supreme Championship. You want me to join your merry band of thugs. Become an enforcer. Fight in your battle with Vibert. Tyler nods sagely. He still seems very confident. The Dark Destroyer turns his attentions to Emma Chase next. The sultry agent levels her most seductive gaze at her prospective client, but Frehley is focused and not about to be distracted. Steve Frehley: You. Chase. You promise me everything. You can deliver, cuz I saw how Big Money lived it up. Frehley takes a deep breath, reading to announce his decision. Steve Frehley: There is only one person in the Supreme Wrestling Federation that I trust. The man behind me. Diaz has my back. Always. I don't know that I need a manager. Never had a manager when I won the SWF World Heavyweight title. Ray says things have changed and this is for the best. I trust him. Frehley stops, staring at the trio. He looks at each one for a long moment, while the crowd waits. He points at Sara Silver once again. Steve Frehley: Your Silverbacks are a bunch of mercenaries for hire. No honor. No glory. Just money. I said from the start it wasn't about the green. But none of that even matters. Cuz you said Ray here wasn't “cut out” to be a Silverback. As I go, so does he. In the background, Diaz makes a throat-slash gesture to show that Silver has been “cut” from consideration. Frehley turns to the General Manager of the brand, Eric Tyler. Steve Frehley: Giving a man what he has earned gets you no credit, boss man. I am the number one contender because I deserve to be the number one contender. You want me to take the lead in your fight with Vibert. I don't care about your little rivalry. It means nothing to me. Why would I lead a battle I don't care about? I ain't no general. Fight your own damned war. That's just the way it is. The grin has slid off Eric Tyler's face as Diaz makes another “cut” gesture. He looks rather unhappy, and seems as though he might leave the ring. He remains. Frehley finally turns his attention back to Emma Chase. Despite the obvious fact that she is the pick, Emma's expression has not changed. Steve Frehley: So its you, Chase. You get a chance to show me and Ray what you can do for us. A chance to deliver. Don't get confused, Emma – we ain't boys who need to be bossed around like Brandon. We're men. If you don't respect that, it's done. That's just the way it is. Emma Chase nods. Both scowling, Eric Tyler and Sara Silver bail out of the ring while the new manager of Steve Frehley and Ray Diaz takes the microphone. The fans, who boos loudly. Emma Chase: All you fans should be applauding right now! You just saw history here – Steve Frehley making the decision that will make certain he dominates this brand for the foreseeable future. I will make sure that the number one contender status means he gets a shot at Christian Faith at the next pay per view – When Hell Freezes Over 2009 in January. Frehley will become the Supreme Champion. Then Diaz will take the Legends belt away from Dan Stone Jr. With my help, these two men will dominate. I guarantee it! Emma Chase grins seductively at the fans while Frehley and Diaz stand. They are not the types to pose and play to the crowd. Regardless, the fans boo. Grade: B
Duane Fry: Ray Diaz doesn't even need to leave the ring, as he is up for our opener! That doesn't keep the two men from giving a great battle, disappointing only in the fact that its a mere dozen minutes long. Diaz doesn't even wait for Hall to get his cowboy hat off once he's in the ring before he attacks. The match is a sprint, a fast-paced war of big exchanges and power moves. The kind of battle that the loyal puroseau fans would love dearly, and the SWF fans appreciate nearly as much. The action doesn't slow down until the final minute, when the continual battering the two big men deliver to each other begins to takes it toll on both. A Short Pistol Whip Lariat sees Hall grab Diaz for a suplex, but Diaz counters into a ring-rattling suplex of his own. Hall again goes for his short lariat, but he takes a big Monster Mash clothesline instead. Diaz follows it up with his Ray Guhn double-underhook piledriver, the big man barely able to get the bigger cowboy up. He manages it and its enough for the pinfall. Ray Diaz Wins at 12:11 via Pinfall Grade: B+
Duane Fry: Now that was a war! What a barn stormer! It starts with the undeniable beat of C+C Music Factory's “Gonna Make You Sweat”. The image starts on an extreme close up of a bead of sweat on wet skin. The show slowly pulls back, showing that the sweat is on the neck of a very lovely woman. Not just any lovely woman – Miss Missy. The fitness expert is moving to the music, working up a sweat as she does some fast-paced aerobics. Even better, Miss Missy is wearing a very tight and very revealing workout outfit. The camera pans back, so that its clear she isn't alone in the room. Elmo Benson and Groucho Bling can be see behind her. They are following her lead as they attempt to mimic Miss Missy's rapid movements. They seem to be having some trouble doing so, but they are trying. The camera pulls back a bit further, so the tag team duo can be fully seen behind the fitness expert. Its a bit disconcerting because they are wearing matching outfits, along with their ever-present headbands. It is not so much that their outfits match each other, but that they are wearing the exact same outfits as Miss Missy is wearing. It is not a pretty sight. Miss Missy shouts out encouragement, not even looking back to see how the duo is doing as they try to keep pace. Elmo starts to falter first, getting off rhythm with his movements. Groucho soon suffers the same, tripping over his own feet and falling into Elmo. The pair are coordinated and graceful inside a wrestling ring, but not so much outside of it – the idiot savants of professional wrestling. Elmo bounces back up from being knocked over, giving his tag team partner a hard shove. Groucho comes right back, grabbing his friend in a headlock. They tussle in the background, while Miss Missy continues on with her aerobics, still shouting out encouragement and completely oblivious to the wrestling match which has erupted in the background. Grade: C+
Melanie Florence: The nutters... Oh, the nutters... The bigger face duo control much of the match, with the masked Japanese pair unable to really get going despite their superior experience as a pair. Ota and Narato use some double teaming and a timely distraction from manager Mr. Miwa to control a short run of the action, but Robbie Retro gets a bit of a pop out of an otherwise quiet crowd as he battles back. Flash gets the pin on Narato after hitting a Flash Bang hot shot. Steve Flash Wins at 8:11 via Pinfall Grade: C-

Bart Biggz In-Ring Promo The new SWF Shooting Star champion comes down to the ring to a pretty good pop. The four-time tag champion seems to be doing pretty well on his own. He takes some time, playing to the crowd with his newly-won belt. He finally takes a microphone. Biggz begins by saying that he just realized a dream by capturing a singles title in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. As meaningful as everyone one of the tag team title he won with his brother were, there is nothing that tops the feeling of an individual accomplishment like this. When the Sky Club Division was started, Biggz says that he was told that he would be one of the cornerstones. Playing second fiddle to Acid for the past few months, he has hardly felt like a “cornerstone”. Now, he finally feels like he has added something. The champion pauses for a moment, his face contorting into pain for a moment before he continues. It is a bittersweet feeling, he says. Because this success comes at a cost. It may have cost Bart his brother Brett. Not literally, but at least as a partner. Brett has been outside the SWF for a few months now, taking some personal time to deal with issues in his life. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Brett is coming back. The prospect of making his way through the SWF world by himself is a frightening though, Bart says with honesty. Acid The danger of the SWF world becomes abundantly clear as Acid has rapidly made his way down to the ring and slid in behind Bart. The crowd reacts a split second before Bart turns around and gets dropped with a dropkick to the chest. Bart is sent flying through the ropes, his title belt flung through the air. Acid watches the belt land on the mat, staring at for a second before he dives out of the ring onto Bart, who is just starting to get up. The former champion continues the attack outside the ring, bouncing the champions head off the security railing and then the timekeepers table. Biggz is left in a crumpled heap on the floor. Acid walks past the ring, stopping to stare at the belt that is no longer his, before he heads up the ramp to a chorus of boos. By the time he makes it to the stage, Biggz is struggling back to his feet defiantly. The pair stare for a moment across the arena. Then the segment ends. The match is a whirlwind of action. Both Leon and American Elemental manage to look good and they come closer to defeating the former Shooting Star champion than either have thus far. A good battle is not enough to take down the masked flier, who is just a bit too skillful and devious. After an impressive Acid Rain Bomb onto both opponents, Acid gets the pin on the Mexican youngster El Leon. It is not actually terrible, just bland and a bit sloppy. Both teams look good, with the Lords going had after the mercenary tag team. Mr. Anderson and Mr. Hill manage to slowly down Perez with some cheap shots, isolating him. Pathlow gets a pretty decent pop when the hot tag is finally made and he does a pretty good job of taking down both opponents to give his partner time to recover. It looks like the Sky Club Division tag champions might manage to score the upset win, but things get interesting outside the ring when the manager Sara Silver and Raven clash and begin screaming at each other. Its enough of a distraction for Mr. Hill to take advantage of, quickly working over Perez and then combining with Mr. Anderson to smash their opponent with their King of the Mountain double-team facebuster finisher. Pathlow can't make the save in time. He gets a notably big pop from the fans. Undefeated so far in the SWF, Stone is escorted by his “cousin”, Dani Nevada, and Art Reed. The champion takes a microphone in the ring, not taking the time to pose with his belt. Stone has a pronounced Atlantic drawl, which is a bit like a southern drawl, but he still come across well on the microphone. He begins by thanking the fans for their support. He says that his father, Dan Stone, is one of the most famous men in the wrestling business. “The Father of Canadian Wrestling”, he is called. In the 1970s, he was a famous champion in the American Pro Wrestling Federation, one of the predecessors to the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Because of the success that his father had down here, Dan Junior himself always wanted to test himself in America. That is what brought him to the SWF as much as anything else. He could have showed up to help his cousin Dani, then left to go back up north. But he stayed because he needed to challenge himself. To prove himself. And this is the first step, he says, holding up his SWF Legends belt. The Supreme Wrestling Federation is a place that changes people, however. Hardening people, and maybe even bringing out the worst side of them. That seems to be what happened to the man that Dan won the belt from. The Johnny Bloodstone he knew up north has as much honesty, integrity, and pride as he did talent. But here in the SWF, he has become just another thug. Doing the bidding of a man nowhere near as talented – Rocky Golden. Stone promises to show “The Golden Boy” for the fraud he is by putting his belt on the line against Golden at When Hell Freezes Over. In the meantime, though, he is willing to give Johnny Bloodstone a rematch. Anytime. Anywhere. Finally, Stone brings up what happened last week on Legends – when he was seen meeting backstage with Christian Faith, Chris Morrisette, Chris Caufield, and Big Cat Brandon. It seems that everyone has assumed that he has joined the “alliance”. That is not the case. The alliance wanted a chance to talk to Dan to explain their concerns about what General Manager Eric Tyler is doing to the brand. And to be honest, he agrees with them. However, its not his fight. This is something that goes back a lot of years, to Danger and Violence Extreme and the East Coast Wars. Stone says that despite the righteousness of the fight, he will stay uninvolved so much as possible. He has other concerns to worry about. Notably, he is going to build a House of Stone here in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Winning the Legends belt is simply the first step. With a nod, Stone finishes. He acknowledges the cheering fans but doesn't really celebrate the way that many in the SWF would. He leads his little troupe back into the back. Grade: A
Phil Vibert: A House of Stone. I like the sound of that.
Rocky Golden vs Mainstream Hernandez This one is all Golden, as you might expect. Golden attacks the younger “Kid Liquid” before the bell even sounds, use his size and power advantage to rag doll the youngster in the early going. When Hernandez does manage to find his feet and tries to mount a bit of offense, he finds himself tripped up by Kristen Pearce from outside the ring. Katie Cameron tries to chase off the red-haired vixen, but its too late. The match lasts several minutes more than it needs to. Golden has his lightweight opponent up in The Rack and all but done, but the big man decides he wants to inflict some more damage. So he drops Hernandez and hammers at him for awhile longer, blasting him with some powerful offense. Finally, as Katie Cameron and referee Shane Stones begin to look concerned, Golden puts the smaller wrestler back in The Rack. Its over quickly after that. Rocky Golden Wins at 8:54 via Submission Grade: B
Duane Fry: Does that count as a “big” win for Golden?
Christian Faith In-Ring Promo There is a massive pop from the crowd as Christian Faith emerges through the Supreme Gate, escorted by the Limp Bizkit version of “Faith”. The SWF Supreme champion carries his belt over his shoulder, but he comes out alone. The fans take awhile to quiet down enough Faith to speak. He wears a slight smirk as he waits. When he can talk, Christian Faith says that he's not out here to talk about what happened in the Christmas Clash pay per view main event. Everyone saw it. Everyone knows. No matter how much Rich Money tries to deny it... He tapped. He submitted. The crowd roars that they agree. No, what Faith wants to talk about tonight is the new number one contender for his SWF Supreme championship, Steve Frehley. The crowd boos the mere mention of the name now. Faith says that he respects Frehley and what he has done, that no one else managed to come into the Supreme Wrestling Federation and dominate the way that the Dark Destroyer did. Frehley is a monster. And with Emma Chase at his side, he's even more dangerous. Facing Frehley at When Hell Freezes Over might be one of the biggest challenges of Faith's career. But he's not afraid. He has made a career of stepping up to the biggest challenges. And this is just another one. Faith he might be old. He might have been through a few wars in his time. But Christian Faith is far from done. Steve Frehley better believe that. The Dark Destroyer better be ready for the battle of his life. Because that is what it will take to get the SWF Supreme Championship. The crowd roars. Faith launches into his trademark catch phrase... but then he stops and stares up at the ramp... Ace Newton There is a big negative reaction from the fans as they spot Ace Newton standing atop the stage. The young Supreme brand star is smirking confidently. He is wearing street clothes, with his SWF North American championship belt over his should and his ever-present metal briefcase in hand. Newton holds up the briefcase, smirking at the legend who stands in the ring. The intent of the gesture is clear – watch yourself, old man. Faith grins back, telling the youngster anytime he wants to try, he is more than welcome to. Because he has... FAITH! Grade: A*
Duane Fry: That is one thing we do not need – the Generation Supreme kids invading the brand! Phil Vibert: Don't be so sure. Its a fairly wild brawl from the start, with pretty much the entire thing involving all six men. Referee Jay Fair is unable to maintain order right from the bell and nearly ends things in disqualification several times. There is a sense of waiting throughout the match, as Vengeance has yet to appear and everyone seems to expect him to appear during the match. The pace of the match and the constant interference makes it almost impossible to keep track of who the legal men are. After awhile, it just doesn't really matter anymore. The match is highlighted with a few hot sequences – a brawl between Big Cat Brandon and Rex, a quick technical grappling sequence between Bloodstone and Morrisette, and finally the match spilling outside the ring into a pretty big brawl that culminates in Morrisette diving off the top turnbuckle onto Bloodstone. After delivering a Big Cat Pounce to Bloodstone outside the ring, Big Cat does the same to Texas Pete inside the ring. It allows Big Cat to get the pinfall. He roars, hammering his chest in some sort of primary display of power. The Golden Faction trio and their manager at ringside heed the warning, bailing out of the ringside area by jumping a security barrier and leaving through the crowd. They want nothing to do with the big man. Vengeance starts down the ring... ….and then stops... Phil Vibert Having left the commentator's booth, Vibert stands in front of Vengeance. The commentator has clearly put himself in harms way, but he doesn't back down. Even when Vengeance makes like he is going to take a swing at Vibert, he still stands his ground. He has a microphone in his right hand, and something unseen in the other. Phil Vibert: Sean, you don't want to do this. Vengeance again tries to push past, but Vibert will not let him. Despite being much smaller, Vibert effectively blocks the big man's path down to the ring. Phil Vibert: If you go down to that ring, Sean, it will be something you can't undo. There will be no turning back. You've been on the wrong path for the past year, but you haven't gone past the point of no return. This is that point. If you do this, I can't help you. And I want to help you. Vengeance listens. He is standing, staring at Vibert intently. For the moment, Vibert has his attention. Phil Vibert: I know that you started to feel alone. Isolated. That you didn't fit in. You left the familiar confines of Danger and Violence Extreme to join the world of the SWF almost a decade ago. It felt right for a while – you told me that yourself. Then you started to feel like an outsider. It didn't feel like home anymore. You made the mistake of talking to Richard Eisen about it, and he decided to take advantage of it. Of you. To turn you into his tool. Now you can't stop... This isn't the ranting, sarcastic Phil Vibert that fans are used to. He is calm and honest here. Phil Vibert: When I first brought you to DaVE, you were already a legend in Texas. Legendary for uncontrollable displays of violence. I helped you control and focus that violence. I gave you the means to control it. Eisen made you stop using that control But you need to remember. For your sake. For our sake. Vengeance still doesn't react. He is breathing heavy, his eyes cold behind the gleaming blood-red mask. Then those eyes get big behind the mask as Vibert holds up what he is holding in his left hand... The original mask of Skull DeBones Phil Vibert: The mask. Everyone believes the mask was nothing more than a way to hide your face, Sean, but I understood its real purpose. This mask acted as a shield. A shield which kept all that pain, rage, and violence inside. When you changed masks a year ago to become Vengeance, all of that was freed and you couldn't control it. What Richard Eisen did to you was make you a slave to the rage that burns inside of you. This new mask you have... It won't hold that rage in either. The camera shows a close-up of the mask that Vibert holds. It is not shiny and gleaming like his current red mask, or even the chromed Vengeance mask he wore for the past year. This one is dull ceramic-looking metal, pitted and scared. It has obviously been well used. Phil Vibert: This. The original is the only solution, Sean. Take the mask and become the man you want to be. There is a long silent moment between the two. There is a buzz through the crowd, tense anticipation of what will happen next. No one seems quite certain. Vengeance moves suddenly... but its only to take the battle-worn mask from Vibert. He stares at. Time ticks by. The fans wait. The three men still in the ring wait. Phil Vibert waits. Vengeance holds the mask at arms length, staring hard at it. Suddenly the big man drops to his knees. He kneels, slumped low and head down. Vibert waits a second, then steps up and puts a hand on Vengeance's shoulder. Then the big man rises again. But like a phoenix from the ash, he is no longer Vengeance when he rises... Skull DeBones The shiny new red mask has been replaced with the old beaten one. In the place of Vengeance now stands Skull DeBones. The crowd roars their approval. Standing besides DeBones, Phil Vibert smiles. Down in the ring, Chris Morrisette and Chris Caufield both smile. Finally, Big Cat Brandon smiles as well. Beneath the mask, Skull DeBones seems to be smiling as well. Grade: A*
Duane Fry: Score one for Vibert! My thoughts.... -a mostly throw-away show in terms of matches, as this one was more about the storylines. No clue why I ended up putting the Hall-Diaz match as the opener. -yes, Vengeance just turned face and became Skull DeBones again. -yes, that leaves the Legends brand a touch short on heels in the main event scene. Tons of upper midcard heels. Mostly as guys like Bloodstone and Bryan Holmes auto-push to upper midcard despite being B+ to A in overness. -and yes, things will be balanced out soon enough. -I am open to suggestions for names for the Frehley-Chase stable (or Chase-Frehley if you ask Emma). -took me longer to get the show up than I expected. Realized that I was putting pressure on myself to get the shows done for the last while, mainly as I really wanted to get to Christmas Clash and the Supreme TV immediately following. I don't know that the pace will slow much, but it may slow a bit.

WOOO!!!! SKULL DE BONES IS BACK!!!! In any case, I understand why is return was a bit understated... As for some of the matches, I'm really disappointed at the El Leon vs. Acid vs. American Elemental match. I swear, if it was held in a cruiserweight/super-junior friendly environment, it could definitely been a B+ match.

Great show BP, loved the Skull turn, his mannerisms from the moment Vibert confronted him till he stood up remnded me of old school Undertaker.
I know I keep saying this, but the amount of response and feedback I get on here amazes me. Thanks all! I'm really happy that the Vengeance/DeBones turn went over well. I was a touch leery on it, as Vengeance was one of my primary heels for most of the diary. But the turn just felt so right for storyline purposes. The reasons will come out in coming weeks, but an obvious reason is that it gives Vibert a real moment over Tyler. I struggled a bit with how Vibert could turn Vengeance back into DeBones just with words... I think the mask worked pretty well, all things considered. I've been intentionally trying not to connect Vengeance/DeBones to Undertaker. Either UT or Kane are such a natural characterization but its just something I try to avoid as much as possible. I think its going to be tough to keep away from it completely, though. And as Amp pointed out, the re-debut of Vengeance on Christmas Clash was kept rather subdued for this very reason. As for the Acid-AM-Leon match... Yeah, not the best match rating. But not horrid either, considering both AM and El Leon are both only about C- popularity. The match probably would have got a B- even a week ago, before Acid jobbed to Biggz at the PPV. He was at B+/A popularity prior to that. The match that really disappointed me was Reed-Morgan getting a D+. It was C+ vs B- and it got a D+ without bad chemistry. Reed just doesn't grade like I would expect him to. Like the stable suggestions so far. Going to be a bit before I decide on anything, so keep em coming. As well, don't forget that annual award nominations in the game are still open yet.
Erm... ...isn't Skull DeBones Sean Martyn?
Correct. And corrected. Started writing that segment when I was away from the game. Remembered the last name but wasn't positive on the first name. Didn't go back and check, stupidly. Thanks for catching it, PS.

Digging the Frehley-Chase alignment, because, honestly, Frehley hasn't done anything wrong in my book. He hasn't cheated, he hasn't attacked anyone, he hasn't even really ragged on the fans, (Saying you don't care what they think doesn't count, to me) so aligning with Emma is a good idea, because it really solidifies that he's a bad guy now. As for the name, how about..Beautiful Destruction? Clean sweep! Yes!! :p I know this diaries not too tough to predict, but not getting a single one wrong is still pretty cool to me. And I like Vengeance reverting to DeBones. Not quite as big as the return of Big Cat, but close enough. It does make me wonder why you had someone go to the trouble of making his mask crimson, when you were just going to get rid of it after two appearances, but meh.. :p
