There are two ladders set up in the ring, with the Shooting Star belt suspended several feet above the steel crossbeam that follows the joining of the two rings at the top of the cage. The match itself is an entertaining affair, with all three men taking some crazy risks. Devine hits a shooting star press from the top of the cage onto both of his opponents. Enygma gets knocked off the crossbeam at one point and lands where the two rings join, getting tangled in the two lines of ropes. The moment of the match belongs to Toma, however, as he stands atop one ladder in the middle of one ring, jumps to the crossbeam to attack Devine, jumps to the top of the other ladder in the other ring, and back to the crossbeam again to continue battling Devine. Toma gets knocked off shortly after, allowing Devine to grab the belt and take the win. He celebrates atop the cage before climbing down the outside. They stare each other down. Its unclear where exactly they are, or whether there is anyone else in the room. Phil Vibert: Are you ready? Richard Eisen: I'm ready. Phil Vibert: And you understand the rules? Richard Eisen: Of course I understand the rules. Phil Vibert: Fine. Then let's get this started. The camera pulls back to reveal the two men are seated at a poker table. Duane Fry is dressed up as a poker deal. He starts dealing the cards. The game being played is a quick version of Texas Hold 'Em. The first hand goes to Eisen, with three of a kind to Vibert's two pair. Phil Vibert: Look at that... You didn't even want to play and you get first choice. Richard Eisen: First choice. Hmm... well, I believe we should definitely keep the SWF World Heavyweight championship as part of Supreme TV, so I'll have to pick Jack Bruce as he's the current champion. For the moment, at least. Vibert seems genuinely surprised at the choice. Phil Vibert: Well then, a bit of a swerve. The second hand goes to Vibert. He grins as he lays down two pair. Eisen grimaces. Phil Vibert: My turn. Well, what would an SWF show be without an Eisen? I can't pick you and I can't stand Jerry. So I'll take Eric. Eisen looks surprised and looks about ready to argue, but he shuts his mouth instead. The next hand is dealt. It goes to Vibert as well. Phil Vibert: Another choice... Well, Christian Faith said last night something that resonated with me - "I am legend". Its true. So I'll pick him. Richard Eisen: Enjoy the ancient has-been. The following hand is won by Richard Eisen with a full house. He takes a moment to gloat a bit before making his pick. Richard Eisen: I should have came in with a list, like those guys do for fantasy football. Well, I think I'll have to choose Big Money Incorporated. Phil Vibert: All three of them? Richard Eisen: All four. Emma, too Phil Vibert: Okay then... Vibert looks like he wants to argue the point, but they continue playing instead... Grade: A
Peter Michaels: We'll be back to Richard Eisen and Phil Vibert in a bit. Now for the SWF World Tag Team championship match. The roof is one the double cage and we're ready! The two men engage each other slowly and engage in some technical grappling. Scout comes in next, and The New Wave display some of their world class teamwork on Tornado. Pete comes in next, and he engages Guide in some old school heavy-handed brawling. Caufield comes in next, followed by Rocky Golden, then Eric Tyler, and finally the debutant Bloodstone. Tyler and Bloodstone show some great skills as they engage each other. Golden battles against Caufield and the two men are soon both bleeding. The match is wide open until Bloodstone gets Tyler to submit to a painful looking ankle lock. Both men spend time in control, and Eisen proves very willing to try to get the advantage in any manner. It takes more than the occasional eye rake and low blow to take down the Long Island Angel, however. The highlight of the match is when Bruce climbs into one of the corners of the cage and while clinging upside from the corner, launches himself at the challenger and nails him with a spinning lariat. Eisen just doesn't have enough to get past Bruce and the champion retains via pinfall. Morrisette comes in next, and he goes after Remo with some fury. Vengeance enters next, then Angry Gilmore, and then Brandon James. The match is a chaotic brawl, with several men bleeding heavily. Everything stops when the chime sounds for the final entry into the match. Looking eager, Steve Frehley starts to enter... and then stops. He backs out and tells the referee to lock the door. Frehley then turns and walks away. A massive crowd reaction sees him stroll up the ramp and abandon his team. Being a man down puts the faces at a serious disadvantage but they keep fighting. A highlight of the match is Remo and Gilmore going at each other with furious vengeance and righteous anger. At ringside, Emma Chase grabs Vengeance's chain and feeds it through the cage. Its used by several wrestlers before Vengeance finally gets it back. He uses it to choke Chris Morrisette, then hits the former Lobster with a series of powerbombs. Morrisette doesn't move after the battering and this leads to the referee stopping the match. I very much enjoy that you take the time to justify the picks, which gives me some idea of the reader to some of my booking. I wasn't sure about the Sky Club Division. But I wanted to some different things with the Legends show and I have enough high-fliers. I actually really struggled with a name. I have some ideas in place which should make this pretty fun. You had the right basic idea with the Supreme Warfare main event, but I just did it in a slightly different manner. Full turn for Gilmore, and teased the turn for Frehley. The justification for it is coming, as well as whether its a full turn or just him becoming more of an "edgy face". My first A PPV. Which I should be thrilled about, but I was really kinda hoping for an A*. Might have got there if the final segment was a bit stronger and the Bruce-Eisen did at least a B+. The D+ on the Retro-Kings match probably hurt just as much but I didn't want to leave the youngsters out entirely. Oh well. Supreme Challenge should be fun. Oh, and Scout was the worker I was talking about in the Avatar segment with Eisen. His contract was coming up due and TCW released him early when they fell to cult. Huge moment for me, but it happened only about four days before the PPV, so I didn't think I'd get him signed in time. He signed Thursday. I had someone else I was going to use if I could get that to work. I'm happy that it worked out this way. I now have another A* experience tag team to play with. Sweet. One last thing - I'm out of town until next week, so no more shows for a short bit. If anyone has thoughts on this show or anything at all, feel free to share. I will check the forum periodically.

Random thought of the day... if one has to spend two hundred pages deciphering whether or not they are doing well, is the answer really worth the effort? My duties with the Fed have expanded and I am not happy about it. My assumptions have been proven wrong. Ever since I took over the primary booker duties from Peter Michaels a few months ago, I've had a sneaking suspicion that he's basically just been putting his feet up and doing the announcing duties. I knew he had other things on his plate, but how much work could that be compared to boking the entire d*mned promotion? A lot, apparently. One of those duties is compiling the statical information by several public opinion survey companies that the SWF uses and putting together a monthly report for the Eisen clan. The Supreme Wrestling Federation is a global entity at this point and it uses the same tools as every other global corporation to measure the public's opinions. Of course, there are several highly-paid PR firms that also do the same statistical analysis and also provide regular reports. Richard Eisen apparently likes it done in-house as he wants at least one report done with the slant of a "wrestling mind". I guess that's what I am at this point - a "wrestling mind". That's good to know, cuz I sure as hell ain't a wrestler. I spent the past two days getting course in analyzing this date from Michaels. He's been patient with me, as its a great deal to learn in a short time. Michaels normally has the help of a couple of staffers. In the future, I will too. This time around, I have to do it myself. I guess to prove that I can and I'm not just shoving it off onto lower-rung entities? The data isn't on paper. Its electronic, of course. Compiling the data is quite simple, as there is a powerful analysis tool that the information can be loaded onto. The difficulty comes in reading that information once the tool has compiled it. The tool is capable of producing reports with almost any information that can possibly be gleaned from the raw numbers. The information those survey organizations provide is almost as varied as the sources. The info comes from every conceivable source - from in-house surveys done at random on the SWF website to "exit poll" surveys at live events. They do focus groups. There is even one organization that focuses on casual wrestling fans and non-fans, just to cover the full range. What I was supposed to do, essentially, was take all this information and get a sense of what was working and what wasn't. To get a direct feel for what what pushes are working and which ones aren't. Which gimmicks resonate with the audience and which ones need some refreshing. You can get a feel for much of this simply by paying attention to the live audiences, but apparently that's too "old school". Putting together the report was quite a lot of work, as one might expect. Not that any of the information was really that surprising. It was basically a matter of finding the data to support what you already knew. I knew that Marc DuBois was getting over huge with the younger fans as well as the "primaries" - that is, males in the 18-35 age range. That same demographic was loving the change in Steve Frehley's character as well. I knew these things already and it was just a matter of getting the data to support it. For a couple of months now, I have been doing "research" on my own. If you really want to know what the fans think, then its best to go where the fans are. In the modern digital age, that is as easy as logging into any number of online forums. There are a shocking number out there for professional wrestling. I used to frequent a couple of online forums for wrestling, but ironically stopped checking them when I actually got involved in the business. Both seem to have disappeared or been amalgamated or something. I tried checking the official Supreme Wrestling Federation website forums, which I had a hand in revamping at the start of the year. Even more ironically, the forum proved relatively useless for my purposes. I quickly found there were only two types of posters on the SWF forum - Supreme fans and trolls. That's it. There were plenty of options, but I ended up taking a significant liking to the Total Extreme Wrestling forums. For as professional and respectable as the actual TEW website is, the associated forum is... diverse. It offers an unbelievable cross-section of wrestling fans. Everything from the 13-year old who is only capable of making semi-retarded "OMG Tommy Cornellz iz teh besteszzzz eeevveeerrrrrrrr!!!!!1111!!!!!111" threads to the eloquent mature fan who makes a 6,000 word essay post about why the current championship reign of Jack Bruce is more impressive than Sam Strong's first reign. Of course, the first response to that great piece of writing is as likely to be that 13-year old with a "NOOOOOOOO Tommy Cornellz iz teh besteszzzz eeevveeerrrrrrrr!!!!!1111!!!!!111" post. But at least its entertaining. The TEW forum is a genuine online community. Like any community, there are different segments. My favorite at "The E" is a group that calls themselves "The Gaijin". They are a group of North American based fans of Japanese professional wrestling. Nothing wrong with that, but they are hatefully dismissive of anything else. It would probably be pretty unbearable except that several of them are d*mned funny about it all. I would honestly pay money to be amused by #1PGHWFan's daily "Ode to PRIDE Koiso" prose. The size and diversity of the TEW community has given me a pretty good perspective on how wrestling fans as a whole regard the SWF. How they look at the work I'm doing. The response to the current direction is pretty positive. The Generation Supreme, the roster split, the young guys getting a chance... These things are all looked at positively by the majority of the community. And that's encouraging. There are still naysayers, obviously. Some are trolls, some are haters, and some are legit fans who just don't like SWF, its product, and its workers. If they have some actual reasoning behind it, you have to respect that. Perhaps the most surprising moment I've had on the TEW forum is stumbling on a thread discussing my role as the booker. It was a shock as my position has never been officially acknowledged either within or outside of the promotion. Leave it to fans to find out anyhow. Things like that are bound to get out sooner or later. Its just weird to see fans discussing your work like that. To see them actually know your name. Well, my pseudonym "Avatar", not my real name. But still... Personally, I think spending an hour or two browsing the TEW forums is far more informative and indicative than spending fifty hours sifting through survey data. Having Syndicate4Life post "I facking hate Supreme... but the Frehley thing at Trouble was pretty cool" means a lot more to me than reading that 73.5% of surveyed individuals responded "Yes" to question 15c. The problem is getting Eisen and the rest to see things that way. I fear I have a hard sell ahead of me... I can't wait for next month when I can just dump this whole thing off on some lower-run entities... Saturday, Week 2, June, 2008 Avatar

News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 3, June 2008 "This week is a big week for the Supreme Wrestling Federation. On Supreme TV tomorrow night, we will see the fallout from Times of Trouble 2008. Most notably, we will the results of the roster split. This is a must-see week for all SWF fans." "According to my inside sources, Richard Eisen may have a big announcement tomorrow night regarding The Supreme Challenge 28 next month. The Supreme Supremo apparently has some big plans. So does Phil Vibert, though. The General Manager of SWF Legends told me himself that he is intent on making a mark as well." "The early rumors for the main event of The Supreme Challenge is Jack Bruce defending his SWF World Heavyweight Championship against Rich Money. I haven't been able to get anyone to confirm or deny this rumor, which makes a definite juicy one. We'll discuss it!" "From what I've head so far, North American champion Marc DuBois may give as a bit more about the "army" he talked about last week. This one has a lot of fans buzzing, and with good reason. DuBois isn't just one of the most impressive young talents in the Supreme Wrestling Federation, but really in the whole world. Who will be joining him? I'll make my guesses." "The SWF website debuted a unique feature last week, and its already proven popularly. Youngster Remmy Skye has been with Rhode Island Pro Wrestling for the past few months and he made his debut on Generation Supreme last Thursday. Skye is an unbelievable daredevil, and the unique video diary he does is now available on SWF dot com. Skye doesn't go anywhere without his video camera and he has a friend taping every one of his matches from a close-up perspective. Dubbed "Life of Skye", the video diary is a hit. Time will tell if Remmy is a hit in Supreme, but there are many with big expectations for the high flier. I'll tell you why." "Making his debut on Supreme TV this week will be Art Reed. "The Bulldog" is a talented and athletic Canadian who was most recently in Japan. He is best known for his work in Phil Vibert's former promotion. He is talented enough to make an immediate impact." "I've heard some rumblings that things might not be so sweet in the Big Money Incorporated world. Nothing concrete at this point, but I'll share what I've heard so far. You better believe I'll be staying on top of this one." "For anyone who missed Generation Supreme last week, you missed a great match between Rocky Golden and Gino Montero. The second generation youngster is an impressive talent, and he showed why against The Golden Boy. Montero almost scored the upset victory before a bit of interference from Kristen Pearce made the difference. Montero showed why the expectations for him and Antonio Marquez have been so high. I played Santa and bought myself a laptop this past weekend. My desktop is dying a slow death so I decided it was a good investment before the keel finally happened. Should make getting shows up a bit easier, too. And thanks for the predictions guys. When I was writing up the preview, I realized that it probably wasn't going to be that tough to call most of them. This show is more about the stories, and a couple of them should be fun. This is also the first show I booked with the roster split in place, which made things a bit interesting. Its not a "hard" split, so I can have guys on either show, but I'm going to try to keep them a big separate.

I'm Peter Michaels. With me tonight is Jerry Eisen. We will soon be joined by a special guest announcer, the one and only Richard Eisen. Jerry Eisen: This is going to be a great night! Peter Michaels: To start the night off, we have a special announcement from our CEO.
Richard Eisen In-Ring Segment A wall of vocal disapproval escorts Eisen down to the ring. Richard Eisen: I'm not out here to talk about the roster split. It seems like that's all you fans care about, but its old news. If you want to see who was lucky enough to stay here with us on Supreme TV and who had to go to Legends, you can find the details on the website. No, I'm here to talk about The Supreme Challenge 28. The crowd reacts positively to the mere mention of the legendary event. Richard Eisen: That's right, its The Legend. The only event that matters. The greatest show in professional wrestling. The Supreme Challenge. Another pop from the crowd. Richard Eisen: Now given that the Supreme Challenge is not just another event, I believe that it needs a main event worthy of that status. A legendary main event, if you will. Something truly memorable. I've been working diligently to come up with something that is worthy. And as always, I've done. Now, given that current champion Jack Bruce... This draws a major pop from the crowd and a scowl from Eisen. Richard Eisen: As I was saying, since Bruce still holds onto the SWF World Heavyweight championship, we're going to have to put up with another Jack Bruce main event. That worthy main event has to include the SWF World Heavyweight championship and the current champion. Jack likes to talk, as we all know. Recently, he's made some comments that he doesn't feel he's been taking on truly worthy challengers. That he wants a step up in competition. So I had to come up with a worth main event that would really challenge Mr. Bruce. And one idea stood above the rest... Double Jeopardy! The crowd reacts, some with cheers for the rare SWF signature match and some with boos directed as Eisen's decision. Richard Eisen: If Jack Bruce wants to be challenged, there is no greater challenge than having to defend the belt twice in one night in successive matches. Of course, that's assuming he survives the first match... The crowd gives the CEO the negative reaction he is expecting. Richard Eisen: Here's a bit of a history lesson for those of you with short memories. Double Jeopardy has only happened three times in the entire history of the Supreme Wrestling Federation. The first time was in 1995, when Sean McFly defeated Bruce the Giant, but then lost to Sam Keith. McFly did the same in 1998, defeating Christian Faith and then losing to Sam Keith. In 2004, Christian Faith became the first to survive Double Jeopardy as he defeated Sam Keith and then Runaway Train at The Supreme Challenge 24. If Jack Bruce feels that he's a true Supreme Legend and belongs in the Hall of Champions, this is his chance to prove it definitively. The crowd starts up a chant of "Brrruuuuccceeee". Richard Eisen: As for Bruce's opponents in both matches... well, that has yet to be decided. But Bruce and you fans can rest assured that I am going to do everything possible to find the most significant challenges possible for Bruce to face. Grade: A

Steven Parker vs Randy Bumfhole The two youngsters put on an entertaining open match. The teamwork of the veteran team is obvious, but the combination of some impressive skills and blatantly cheap tactics gives Badd Kompany the upper hand. They restrict the aerial abilities by attacking the ropes any time Benson and Bling attempt to use them. It looks like Thompson and Deeley might get the win, but Thompson nails Benson with a chair outside the ring while Deeley attempts to distract referee Jay Fair. The ref sees it and he calls the match. Elmo Benson Wins at 8:01 via Disqualification Grade: C-
Richard Eisen: I like how Badd Kompany think. Joss Thompson: So we're here to announce that Badd Kompany are looking for a manager. So all the managers here in the Supreme Wrestling Federation better pay attention. News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Wednesday, Week 3, June 2008 "After Richard Eisen's announcement regarding the main event for The Supreme Challenge 28 on Supreme TV last night, I've received word that Phil Vibert will have a big announcement of his own tonight. No word yet on whether it will be about something for the Only Event That Matters in July." "Speaking of The Supreme Challenge 28, I have plenty to talk about after Mr. Eisen announced that Jack Bruce will face Double Jeopardy™ for the SWF World Heavyweight championship. Who will he face? Can he survive? Will this finally be how Richard Eisen manages to end Bruce's title reign? This will certainly be the biggest challenge that Bruce has faced so far in his long run with the world championship." "It looks like Steve Frehley will speak at Legends tonight. He is expected to address his actions at Times of Trouble 2008. Will the fans forgive The Dark Destroyer for walking out on his friends in the Supreme Warfare™ match? Did he have a good reason to do it? Where does this leave Frehley? This is going to be a hot topic!" "There are many people in the industry who feel that The New Wave are the best tag team in the world. There's no doubting the talent of Thom Barrowman and Jeremy Finch - aka Guide and Scout. But even more impressive is their seamless teamwork. What does the addition mean for the tag team division in the Supreme Wrestling Federation? There's plenty to discuss here." "I spoke to Enygma recently. The former SWF World champion told me that he feels like a forgotten man in the promotion now. He has a plan to change that. I'll share what he had to say." "I've heard some rumblings that one or two Supreme Legends could be looking at the possibility of retirement. Tune in to find out who!|
The Fry Report will be available on SWF.com or directly from iTunes.
An extra special feature for the Fry Report... Enygma vs Chris Caufield for SWF Legends Championship Caulfield isn't dropping the belt this early in his run, and Enygma's not the man he is going to lose it to. Remmy Sky vs Akima Brave Brave's a little more established unless you're looking to push Sky right off the bat. Death Row vs High Concept The better team, only way Death Row could win is by cheating and I haven't seen much of a cheating based push for Death Row. Kid Toma vs Darryl Devine for the SWF Shooting Star Championship Devine to retain The New Wave vs. Troy + Texas Troy & Generic Hoss Cowboy #57 to win via some form of cheating. Paul Huntingdon vs Eric Tyler Huntingdon's not over enough to be 'put over' by someone of Tyler's calibre. Steve Frehley vs Runaway Train So I take it Frehley's sort of a tweener now, no longer on the side of the other babyfaces but still opposing the heels. Train takes the win here, due to the 'numbers game' Bloodstone vs Christian Faith As talented as Bloodstone is, he won't and shouldn't get the win here.

My partner tonight is the magnificent Melanie Florence. Melanie Florence: Thank you sweetie. Duane Fry: And will be joined momentarily by Phil Vibert.
Phil Vibert The show once again begins with Phil Vibert making his way down the ramp and into the ring. He gets a pretty notable pop from the crowd and he wears a bit of a grin. Phil Vibert: I'm starting to make a habit of this, and I apologize. I'll see what I can do about finding someone a bit prettier and more elegant to make these announcements. For the moment, you have to put up with me. Now, part of the reason I'm out here is to admit I made a mistake. The Genius Mr. Eisen got one over on me at our little poker game last week. Don't get me wrong - I'm perfectly happy with the roster that SWF Legends ended up with. More than happy. But when Eisen picked Jack Bruce and said the belt was going with him, I didn't know just what he meant. I've since learned that one of the stipulations that The Genuis Mr. Eisen put into the brand split that was that all singles titles would be attached to one of the brands. And I'm usually so careful with contracts... So even if Jack Bruce should someday lose the SWF World Heavyweight championship, it will remain part of the SWF Supreme brand. Which left me with a bit to think about... Vibert pauses. He scratches at his chin, showing that he was thinking about this hard... Phil Vibert: Now, the Legends brand has the SWF Shooting Star championship and the Legends championship attached to it. You will get to see both defended tonight. Over the weekend, I realized that wasn't enough. Given the talent this show has, we need a main event championship as well. With wrestlers like Christian Faith, Steve Frehley, Vengeance, Chris Caufield, and even Eric Eisen, we need a top level belt. A belt worthy of the Supreme Legends we have here. So we'll be introducing another new championship belt.. the SWF Supreme Championship! There is some solid approval from the crowd. Phil Vibert: No bait-and-switch this time. The belt is done, but you all don't get to see it just yet. Its ready and it will be worth the wait. I can tell you that it will be the most expensive championship belt in professional wrestling history. And I can tell you that The Genius Mr. Eisen definitely had nothing to do with paying for it. I can also tell you that first man to wear the belt will be decided at The Supreme Challenge 28 in less than a month. No tournament. No battle royal. Just two men of my choice competing for the most beautiful prize you've ever seen. Grade: B+
Duane Fry: So when do we get to see the belt, Phil? Phil Vibert: You can't handle the belt, Duane. Melanie Florence: Does it have diamonds, love? I love diamonds. Brett Biggz: What are you so agitated about? Bart gets up and begins pacing about the locker room. Bart Biggz: Everything. Everything is bugging me right now. Jessie leaving us. Losing so many matches. Becoming part of Team Retro. Basically ceasing to matter. Brett Biggz: What's wrong with being part of Team Retro? Bart Biggz: Nothing's wrong with it. But we aren't just some tag team, Brett. We're the Biggz. We revolutionized the Supreme Wrestling Federation by showing what high flying can be. We are four time SWF World Tag Team champions, bro! Bart is getting impassioned now, emphasizing everything he is saying and gesturing wildly. Brett Biggz: Why are you telling me this like I don't know it? Bart Biggz: Because you seem to have forgotten. I seem to have forgotten to, and it eats me up inside when I think about. Brett Biggz: Times change, Bart. Bart Biggz: Of course times change. And they should be changing for the better for us. Vibe created a whole division for our style of wrestling! We should be the centerpieces of the Sky Club division. Instead, we're just faces in the crowd. We aren't out there wrestling for the Shooting Star belt anymore. We're not even really contenders for the tag belts at this point. Instead, its guys that are younger and not as talented. Brett Biggz: Don't be so sure they aren't as talented. Bart Biggz: I am sure. They aren't. I watch them. They aren't as good as you and they aren't as good as me. Yet its them wrestling for belts and we aren't. Brett Biggz: People get old, Bart. The world moves on. Bart Biggz: Get old? I'm not even 30. I'm not ready just to fade away and you shouldn't be either. Brett Biggz: I think Jessie was right. We just don't have it anymore. Bart Biggz: How can you even say that, bro? Brett Biggz: Because kids like the Bumfholes and DuBois are where we never could get to. Bart Biggz: And you think that's right? Brett Biggz: It just is, bro. Bart Biggz: It isn't right. It should be us up there headlining. The world should be talking about Biggz Domination, not Bumfhole Domination. Brett looks exasperated. He seems tired of discussing it. Brett Biggz: We can talk about it all you want, bro. It doesn't change it. They're at the top and we're not. Jessie was right - we aren't winners now. And you can dream about being the star of the Sky Club division all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that we're followers. That's why we needed Jessie, bro. That's why we're part of Team Retro now. Bart Biggz: Not leaders? Brett Biggz: We're not leaders, Bart. Never have been. You need to grow up and realize that. Accept it. Bart Biggz: I'm never going to accept that. You just wait and see. Brett Biggz: Whatever, bro. It is a bit too based on crazy high spots with not enough flow, and the crowd is lost for parts of the match. Toma is able to take control after a bit of interference from Akima Brave and BJ O'Neill. Devine's friends are nowhere to be seen. Devine battles back and looks like he's going to win, only for the Samoan family to get involved again. O'Neill distracts the referee while Toma, Akima, and Tana use a chair on the champion. Devine is done after a chair shot and Toma has the easy pin to take the title. They put together an entertaining match against Tornado & Texas. The teamwork of Guide and Scout is top notch. Tornado and Texas both battle hard, and they manage to isolate Guide for an extended period. Scout clears house when he finally gets into the match, and he eventually gets the pin on Texas Pete. The crowd throws up a heavy layer of hatred at the duo. Eric Eisen: You fans have no idea how important the work I'm doing is. You boo me, yet the single goal of the Supreme Protectorate is to protect the promotion you fans all love. You should love us. And you will learn to love us. To appreciate what we do. That's fine. I didn't come out here to talk about that. I came out here to introduce the newest members of the Protectorate. There is a cacophony of verbal dislike from the fans. Eric Eisen: Before I introduce the new additions, I need to explain. This process was no quick decision. There are plenty of talented individuals in this promotion. Unfortunately, most of them lack the scruples and zeal required to be truly of service to the Supreme Wrestling Federation. It takes a unique type of dedication. Absolute dedication. Unquestioning dedication. The kind of dedication that Runaway Train here shows all the time. So without further delay, the newest additions to the Supreme Protectorate! All eyes turn to the ramp. No one appears. The moment of silence grows heavy... Eric Eisen: I said I'd like to introduce the new additions... The Faction! We agreed that we might help you out when its mutually beneficial. Eric Eisen: Uh, what? Rocky Golden: Look, I'm not saying that your offer wasn't attractive. It was very attractive. Its just that my friends and me, we don't take orders so well. We kind of like doing our own thing. Golden Freedom and all that. So I'm sorry, but we're going to have to say no. Eric Eisen: You might want to reconsider, Golden. You're going to get a lot further in the promotion when you work with me rather than against me. Rocky Golden: Oh, I'm not against you, Eric. As I've said, we're more than willing to help you out when our goals are the same. But I'm no one's follower. The Golden Child has his own golden path to follow. And by the way, its The Golden Faction. With that, The Golden Faction depart. Train attempts to overpower his old opponent on several occasions and simply cannot do it. Frehley batters away at the older wrestler and seems like he could end the match much sooner. He seems to toy with Train. Just when Frehley seems to be ready to end the match, Rocky Golden and Troy Tornado appear at ringside. The presence of Ray Diaz keeps them out for a bit, but while Tornado distracts Diaz, Golden goes after Frehley. My actions at the Times of Trouble pay per view made some people angry. Or so I'm told. But you know what? I don't have to justify myself to anyone. Not to you fans and not to my "friends" that I walked away from. That's just the way it is. Chorus of boos. Steve Frehley: I don't have to justify myself because I've earned that right. With everything I have done and accomplished in this Supreme Wrestling Federation ring. Nobody as done as much as me as young as me in the entire SWF history. Ray Diaz: McFly did. Steve Frehley: And McFly couldn' handle the pressure so he ran away up north. Not me. I can handle anything they throw at me. The Dark Destroyer is the backbone of this company. You cannot break me. This gets some cheers. Steve Frehley: The reason I came out here is to say a few words to Rocky Golden. I'd do this like a man should and say this to your face, but you don't seem to be able to stand up to me like a man. Ray Diaz: Cuz he ain't a man. Steve Frehley: You call yourself "The Golden Boy", Golden, and you sure seem more boy than man. A man makes his own way and builds his own legacy. You want to try to steal mine? You want to try to make your name by taking me down? You can try all you want and it isn't happening. You can't break me. That's just the way it is. Frehley drops the microphone and the two men exit the ring. They get a warm exit from the crowd, which seems a bit conflicted as how they should treat Frehley at this point. Grade: A
Duane Fry: He never did explain why he left Faith, Morrisette, and Gilmore at Times of Trouble.
Random thought of the day... I was always raised with the impressed-upon ideal that it was necessary to respect your elders. But how can you respect your elders when they don't respect you back at all? And whoever believes that with age comes wisdom clearly needs to spend more time around the "experienced". How quickly people change. And I don't mean that as a judgement on others. Its very much true of myself as well. Barely six months ago, if you told me I was going to have a one-on-one meeting with a professional wrestling legend, I would have been excited beyond belief. Now, if I'm told that someone like Christian Faith or Runaway Train is waiting for me in my office, I know that I'm going to have a problem of some type to deal with. Someone like Faith is probably going to have a legitimate gripe. Someone like Bowen - aka Train - is probably going to have a stupid, time-wasting gripe. When my own little pixie secretary Toni told me that Eric Tyler was waiting for me in my office, I knew it wasn't going to be good. I was returning from a creative meeting that was supposed to be quick but went well past lunch. My foremost thoughts were on getting lunch. I couldn't help but grimace as this was going to put a major kink in those plans. Toni gave me a sympathetic smile. I walked into my little box of an office with all the authority I could muster. Tyler was sitting in there already, looking surly. This was not going to be fun. "So what can I help you with today, Eric?" I asked as I said down behind my desk. I was dressed casually, as I typically, but found myself wishing I was in formal business wear for once. "A lot, actually," was the cryptic reply. I laughed, though I doubt he intended it as a joke. "I think you're going to need to be more specific than that," I told him. "To start with, I'm not happy with my push," the 48-year old told me bluntly. That was no shock, to be honest. "Not happy with it? You're in the upper midcard. You get regular wins. What about that aren't you happy about?| "I get wins," Tyler sneered. "But look who they're over." I gave a little shrug, replying, "If you got wins over main eventers, you be a main eventer." "Exactly." "So you think you should be in the main event?" "Obviously." I said nothing for a moment, leaning back in my chair and allowing the statement to hang in the air. I finally told him, "I don't think its going to happen." Tyler old man face scrunched up anger. "And why not?" he spat out. "I'm not good enough?" "Good enough really doesn't have that much to do with it," I answered honestly. "You're one of the best technical guys we have. You are also 48 years old. Even if I did think more of a push was a good idea, I doubt I could get the rest of creative to agree to it." "So it's age discrimination." I actually laughed. "If it was age discrimination, Eisen wouldn't have signed you in the first place. Its because you were hired with a specific role in mind, Eric. The idea was for you to have one last run at the top and to help out train some of the younger guys. That's why you spend so much time wrestling those young midcard and lower workers. Its what you were hired to do." "Well, its not enough anymore," Tyler told with surprisingly petulance. "You may feel that way, but I don't think enough has changed for us to change it on this end." "Chris is getting a push." "Not really. He's got the belt but he's not getting wins over main guys. And you know you were in consideration for the belt," I explained. "Is that what's this is all about? The belt?" "No. Its about the fact that I'm as good in the ring as anyone else in this d*mned promotion. I'm tired of being taken for granted. I've given so many years to this business, kid, and I'm tired of not getting back. But I don't suppose you would know anything about dedicate your entire life to a business like I have," he finished. I let Tyler go with his little rant. It was tempting to counter with an explanation that if he had chosen to act a bit more professionally through his tenure in the SWF thus far, perhaps a heavier push might at least be considered. However, the kid lecturing the old man didn't seem the best response. Instead, I told the old guy, "I actually with you that you're one of the best we have in the ring. But this isn't DaVE or the Stone's promotion, Tyler, and you know that. This is Supreme, and what you can do in the ring only matters so much. We both know that." "So overness is all that mattes?" "Overness is all that matters." "That's bullsh*t." "No, its not and you knew it when you signed," I sighed. "It hasn't changed. The SWF has been the same for thirty years. A good look and good promos will take you further than great wrestling skills. Its the reality." Tyler looked at me hard for a minute. Then he asked, "What if I don't accept it?" Was he trying to sound stupid? It was like explaining to a four year old why the sky is blue and they refuse to believe you because they can't touch it. I answered this one carefully, saying, "I guess you really have two options..." "What if I just retire instead of seeing out the contract?" "I guess that would be your choice, Eric. If you feel you're done, then obviously retiring from active competition would be something you have to consider. You do need to keep in mind that the contract with SWF would stil be in effect for its entire duration. In fact, if you do retire, Eisen might ask you to consider a non-wrestling role of some type," I told him. This seemed to surprise him a bit. "Really? What type of role?" "Well, its just a thought, really," I told him. Then I proceeded to throw an idea at him that I basically formulated while I talked. Tyler nodded a lot and his tense anger drained away. "I like the sounds of that," he told me when I finished. "Well, its just an idea," I had to warn him. "I haven't it put it past creative yet, or Eisen. But it's definitely workable." Tyler smiled, saying, "So you can't get me in the main event but you can do this?" "I make no promises," I warned again. "Its a possible option. I think it would work with the directions we're going on Legends, and it opens up a few more storyline options down the road." "Its a good idea, though. They'll have to see that." We talked for a short bit longer. Tyler became quite friendly, much as he had seemed when I first met him back in January. The cranky surliness that he been there so often of late seemed to have just disappeared. It was almost disconcerting. I did still want to confront him on undermining me on the brand split idea. That incident had caused me to lose a lot of respect for the old schooler, but I had never had the chance to directly address it to him. Here was the chance, but I just didn't really want to rile the old dog up again. When Tyler left my office, I didn't feel like I had just dealt with one of the legends of the sport. It felt more like I had just tricked a child. Did he really believe that coming into my office and complaining about his push would suddenly having him beating Rich Money and Vengeance? Those are guys who can sell pay perv views by themselves. No matter how good Tyler still is in the ring, he can't do that. And he knows the business well enough to realize that. Some guys just don't get it because they just aren't that bright - hello Brandon James - but Tyler can't make that excuse. I do respect Eric Tyler. A man who has accomplished so much in this business and is still performing at a high level at 48 years old has to be respected. I respect Eric Tyler the wrestler. I'm not really certain if I respect Eric Tyler the man, however. It seems a bit strange to differentiate like that, but its true. Perhaps one day Tyler will earn my respect as a person. But at this point, its just not there. While the rather pointless meeting and an even more delayed meal didn't make me happy, the new idea I came up with gave me plenty to think about. Its odd how ideas can come from nothing or from different situations like that. Regardless, I'm running with it because I think its a good one. Saturday, Week 3, June, 2008 Avatar

I had a chance to talk to both of the Bumfhole brothers this week. I'll share what they had to tell me." "I've heard some rumblings that both Antonio Marquez and Gino Montero - known as Los Diablos - are more than a bit unhappy with how things have gone so far for them in the SWF. I talked to both and they pin the blame on one man - Richard Eisen. These two are not about to take things quietly, believe." "My sources have told me that Marc DuBois will reveal the third member of his "army" this week on Supreme. Who will be chosen to join the SWF North American champion and Steven Parker? There are plenty of possibilities and we will discuss them." "A very big match headlines Supreme TV this week as Angry Gilmore faces Brandon James. "Big Money" will be looking to prove to Richard Eisen that he deserves to be in consideration for the Supreme Double Jeopardy™ match at The Supreme Challenge 28. Gilmore will be looking to prove that he belongs at the top of the card, and to continue to build on a strong run of late. This one should be a barn burner!" "On Generation Supreme last week, highly-touted youngster Kirk Jameson made his debut. The youngster faced a formidable challenge as he faced the monster Vengeance. The 22-year old did about as well as could be expected, getting pinned by The Harbinger. I'll talk about why Jameson's considered one of the most promising youngsters in the SWF." "Also on Generation Supreme, we saw a promo that gave little away. Just what does "Nuke is Coming" mean? Well, you'll to tune in and I'll tell you exactly what it means. That, fans, is what we in the industry call a 'teaser'!"
The Fry Report will be available on SWF.com or directly from iTunes.
A special feature for the Fry Report... Chris Morrisette vs Joss Thompson No brainer choice, I'm sure Badd Kompany will be in line for a more focused push eventually, but they're no where near getting a win over someone the calibre of Morrisette and probably not for a good few years. Last Chance (Enforcer Roberts + Flex Garica) vs Black Label Fight Club Could go either way, but the repackaged DWB are more of the team. Los Diablos (Antonio Marquez + Gino Montero) vs Double Deuce (Cameron Vessey + Casey Valentine) Los Diablos have bags more potential to go right to the top, where as I can see Double Deuce being an enhancement talent duo for a good few years yet. Sin Inc (Joe Sexy + John McClean) vs Retro + Swoop More over, but they'll cheat their way to victory to make out that Retro & Swoop aren't total job fodder. Art Reed vs Ace Newton Newton will be in line for a strong push eventually, put he'll lose to Art Reed here, despite the fact I don't really see Reed ever rising above the mid-card in SWF. Valiant vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Championship DuBois holds onto his North American Title, he won't lose the belt until at least the next PPV. Steven Parker vs Zimmy Bumfhole vs Remo Even though it's not unplausible for Bumfhole to win, I can't see beyond a Remo victory. Angry Gilmore vs Brandon James

I've been bored now that I'm back home from uni for Christmas so I decided to find a new dynasty to read. I found this one and, because I like SWF, thought I'd give it a try. Gotta say, I've been gripped from Day 1 and I've just finished reading what you've posted so far and can't wait for the next entry. I'm really enjoying the "Random Thought of the Day" entries and, to be honest, they're probably my favourite bits. You've really managed to bring a lot of the characters to life for me and I've actually found myself looking at SWF and certain characters in a different way thanks to your portrayal of them. Keep up the good work, you've definately got a reader for the duration here.

Love to get feedback, so its great to hear that someone new is reading and enjoying. Feel free to share any thoughts, concerns, comments, suggestions, or criticism at any time. Hope to have the next show posted up within a day or two. I was hoping to get a lot done over the holidays. Unfortunately, "a lot" somehow turned into "nothing". Ah well.

Chris Morrisette vs Joss Thompson Josh Thompson may have a very promising future but there's no way I can see him beating Morrisette at this stage. Last Chance (Enforcer Roberts + Flex Garica) vs Black Label Fight Club I can see this Last Chance team getting a decent mini-push that will make them Tag Title contenders Los Diablos (Antonio Marquez + Gino Montero) vs Double Deuce (Cameron Vessey + Casey Valentine) I love the duo of Los Diablos think they'll both go very far, I expect them to pick up the victory here as they strive to get noticed by Richard Eisen. Sin Inc (Joe Sexy + John McClean) vs Retro + Swoop As much as I like Retro and Swoop I can't see them winning this one. Art Reed vs Ace Newton This will definately be close and Art needs a win to kickstart his SWF career but I think Newton may have one tomany tricks up his sleeve, or Playboy's for that matter. Valiant vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Both these men are going to be big, I have no doubt about it. I can't see DuBois losing his title this early. Steven Parker vs Zimmy Bumfhole vs Remo Remo's gonna be way too much for these youngsters, Bumfhole Domination or no Bumfhole Domination. Angry Gilmore vs Brandon James Talk about a tough one, I can see this maybe ending in a draw. I can also see Gilmore using his greater intellect to outsmart James and take the victory.
